Customer Reviews

This arcade is fantastic and perfect for adults! It's exclusively 21+ to ensure a kid-free environment, so you don't have to worry about children roughhousing around the machines. They have everything you could want: a wide selection of drinks, delicious pizza, and a ton of games! My favorite part was the pinball room, but there are plenty of other games available if pinball isn't your thing. Come and enjoy a fun night out without the kids!

Another amazing location for Free Play! Cover charge being $12 is amazing! 21+ is amazing for me. I don't have kids and don't want to hang out with them when I'm at a bar :) The pinball room is my favorite but I also love the rhythm games! Great place for a date, or for a Ladies Night! There is also an area for smoking outdoors or to get some fresh air for a minute. The pizza is cheap and perfect for something quick to eat while playing or drinking. I will be back for sure.

Great spot for a fun, adults-only night out! This place is packed with games ? everything from vintage classics like Donkey Kong and Mortal Kombat to newer favorites like Dance Dance Revolution and air hockey. The $12 cover charge per adult gets you unlimited access to all the games, and the vibe is energetic but chill, with no kids running around. There's a well-stocked bar and tasty appetizer options to keep you fueled while you play. One thing to note: it's a one-entry policy ? once you leave, you can't

Went opening night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great beer selection and full bar. I didn't try the pizza although many people seemed to be enjoying it. The only two things that prevented this from being full Five Star review are that there were a few games inoperable (which I found odd for an opening night) and I was really hoping for a Golden Tee machine or two. Overall a fun place, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely going back for more. EDIT?. Well as promised I went back for mo

A fantastic addition to the taun area and a wonderful location surrounded by good food and right off the highway. Honestly, they couldn't have picked a better spot. Hopefully they move in the karaoke because my girlfriend is dying to do some karaoke. The games are well maintained I just know this place is going to be packed so bring your friends. It'll be a blast

So great to not have to drive all the way to Prov for some arcade fun! Cheap drinks, great vibes and every one that goes there is super friendly! Great date night option or just go solo and make some new friends!

They have a great selection of games and we love that it's free to play! There is a cover charge of $12 but you get unlimited games. They had a nice mix of pinball, fighting games, arcade classics, and things like DDR and guitar hero. Drinks were tasty and we didn't get pizza but it looked good. It did get really crowded on a Friday night, so it was nice to get there a little earlier.

We went opening night and the staff was AMAZING! From bartenders to security, everyone was fantastic. Drinks and ambiance were good, and games were great as well. I'm so glad the have a Japanese game section!! Would've been a full five stars if they had a dance floor like other locations, but I know today is literally opening day and they took over a old Fridays location.hoping they're able to expand with a dance floor sometime the future!!!

Saturday fun! Got there about 7 parking lot pretty packed got inside even more packed but I was definitely able to play all my favorite classic games. If you hit the bar just right you don't have to wait that long for that Ice cold beverage. The pinball room is awesome for you pinball fans download the pinball app on your phone and the pinball machine will scan your app barcode and you can keep track of your score that is digitally posted on the screen at the end of the room ?? ?? Go have some fun, love me

(Picture is the chicken bacon ranch pizza ordered on 6/6/25) The value of coming to the free play bar arcade is worth the time, especially if you come early. $8 m-th and $13 f-su is a bargain. Especially since you can play as much as you want until they close. From my experience their food is only pizza. Their pizza is extra thin and crispy, although it looks frozen, it tastes unique to its name of pizza meaning they at least add something to it before they price it at $12 (unless it's cheese). I give this

Awesome atmosphere, personable staff and great owners! Shout out to, J and Anthony, the most nice and caring owners. Not only do they care about the establishment, but they care about each person that comes in. They made an effort to actually be outside and greet everyone, and cared to listen to and respect each person?s opinion, reaction, and answer any question with the utmost honesty. Even better, the wonderful staff reflect the same enthusiasm and passion as well! I absolutely will be back again!

such a fun spot, you could spend hours here! the cover fee is very reasonable for the time you can spend and amount of games available. the drinks and bartenders are also great! 10/10 will be a normal weekend occurrence here !

ARCADE GAMES THAT WILL BRING YOU BACK... MARIO BROS, DONKEY KONG, MARBLE MADNESS, MORE. WENT ON A WEEKNIGHT. IT WAS A REASONABLE CROWD. BARTENDER WAS AWESOME. WENT FOR A FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY. DRINKS ARE REASONABLE, PIZZA WAS FRESH AND TASTY. MY ONLY RECOMMENDATION IS THE BUFFALO PIZZA COULD HAVE BEEN HOTTER (MORE BUFF SAUCE) BUT OTHERWISE AWESOME EXPERIENCE, DEF WORTH THE $8 COVER.

It was a joy coming here for their opening weekend, as we are loyal customers to Freeplay Providence. It's a cleaner, more polished vibe than Providence (especially the bathrooms), though it lacks the dance floor and karaoke. The drinks also weren't consistently strong, which bummed me out. The Rainbow Road was a banger cocktail circa 2022.

This place was awesome ! First time there on opening night and I didn't want to leave. My husband left his keys and they were returned right away to the front desk and I received them back no problem. Thank you so much for this experience and for having a friendly environment!

Great atmosphere and selection of old games, japanese games, and a pinball room. Great drink options with reasonable pricing. A handful of the machines are broken and are there for show.

Great pinball selection and a lot of cool Japanese arcade games you don't see in other arcades. Drinks are reasonably priced as well!

Had a great first experience with family and friends pizza was good and drinks were good alot great fun games to play and choose from I can't wait to go back ?? definitely recommend this place for sure 21 plus

This location says it closes at 1 am on saturdays but when you arrive they have a sign that says entry closes at midnight. I drove 25 minutes and arrived at the door at 11:55 pm and the doors were locked and we were denied entry. I go to the providence location often and was excited to check out the new location. Disappointed at the service and false information at this location

Nothing but pure fun. Great old school video games. Great price. Great pizza. Great staff. ??????????

Great new spot! Finally something to DO around here ?? Bartenders were fantastic!

Bartenders were great, fun were games, security was even friendly. Will for sure go again.

Thought this was the place to go for 21 year olds my kids only wanted to stay for 10 min and there a cover charge the guy at the front would not let me check it out so i had to pay $12 for each of my kids for 10min for them to see the place will not go back place is to small .

Really good and fun games but I was disappointed when both air hockey tables barely worked

Heck yes. This. Cover charge with free games and drinks to purchase. Thanks for coming to the area.

Great place, hopefully they add in karaoke and an outdoor section soon!

Plenty of games and a great bar selection!

Fantastic atmosphere. Very nostalgic. I'll definetly come back again!

Good games collection. Had a wonderful time

Excited for this place! will be enjoying the eventual live music and karaoke!

Fun place, family a little crowded but still fun

Great spot with free games - all the classics are here.

Worth the $12, lots of fun, enjoyed the whole thing

Step back to 80's & 90's. So much fun.

Go here. It was awesome

Love this place, we don't have nearly as many cool ass arcades like this in our area. Pretty alright selection of games, but am excited to see what other games they end up bringing in. Biggest gripe is food selection, love pizza, but would be better if they had more options (fries, wings, tenders, more pizza options in general).

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
