Awesome first visit to the Freedom Mill!! This place is HUGE but well staffed and a fun change of pace with the family in mind. Don't forget to run down to the bar (inside the building) for a fresh draft or boozie slushy, then finish the night with the food truck on site. Highly recommend and will do it again!
What an incredible experience I had at Freedom Mill Gun Range! Three fantastic gentlemen, Steve, Tanner, and Taylor, helped me make a cool shotgun purchase. I can't express my gratitude enough for their exceptional knowledge and assistance. Pretty cool place with easy going folks.
My sister and I took my Dad Axe throwing for Father's Day, and we had a BLAST with Skye as our Axe Master. She showed us the best techniques to throw and joined us in a game as there were three of us and we needed four. She made our experience forever memorable.
I took the Basic Pistol Training Class with Steve Silvey and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Steve was not just knowledgable, but also an excellent instructor--able to present and explain concepts in a practical and easy-to-understand manner. A jovial demeanor kept the class interesting but he never undersold the necessity for safety and being personally responsible. I took the class looking for information around gun ownership and handling and I was greatly pleased with the outcome. Because of his instr
Really cool place to visit. Something for everyone in your family to enjoy. Super cute gift shop, an arcade for the kids, axe throwing, gun range, play area, and a really good brewery.
What a fun place! Under one roof you'll explore? Arcade games of all kinds Gun Sales Shop Shooing Range Ax Throwing Gift Store General Store Farm Supply Store Bookstore Bible Shop Brewery/Distillery plus on different nights? Live Music Entertainment Music Bingo Trivia Night There's pizza and sandwiches in the brewery and food trucks stop outside to sell more food. Check their events calendar to see what's up.
One of our favorite places to go to they've got games for the kids. They have a great selection of firearms at a reasonable price. They have a gun range which is amazing. They have a three and some fancy little frosty drinks that they put alcohol in. They also have some great shopping local made yummy barbecue sauce. Our favorite though is probably the axe throwing.
Wanted to shout out Tim for his excellent service at the gun counter and inside the range. Helped us out and gave a great information that helped us to have a great family night out. Very happy with our recent visit.
I took Steve Silvey's basic pistol training last month. I grew up shooting guns but those times are not something I would trust ot be safe. It was nice to go back to the basics and learn from Steve. He is incredibly knowledge. His class is on the 1st and 4th sunday of each month. Time is spent in the range where he coaches the people in the class. Between his coaching and the class, it set me up for success. He and the great folks at freedom mill also helped point me in the right direction to get my first p
Excellent location to hang out and have a beer, watch sports, throw axes or shoot a firearm! The newly opened brewery has great selections and their styles are spot-on. Staff are always very helpful.
I'm a frequent flyer at Freedom Mill, always a great experience. This last visit felt a little extra special. Tim went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant experience yet again. Thank you, Tim!
We've been here twice for ax throwing and it's really so much fun! The place is very family friendly and the shop is better-than-Bucces! A great place whether you're looking for fun with friends or a birthday party.
This place is so fun! Only complaint truly is the outdoor chairs on the playground are worn out and therefor when your skin touches them fiberglass gets stuck in your skin. Made for a really rough ride home.
Great place and friendly staff. Beer was awesome. Was wondering how they managed a brewery and a gun range, but they do a great job, 0 tolerance, shoot before you drink. Gun and range staff are very professional. Will be going back.
Nice people but there is ZERO range safety. People loading guns behind you and in their hands behind the firing line with loaded guns. Most ranges keep a safety officer at the firing line to prevent just such issues. I have never seen them here thought. The store is more concerned with their liability with the waivers than your safety!
In the last 3 times I've been there, I 've always had to shoot next to a lane where someone is firing a rifle/223. The concussion is terrible and hard to get used to. They have a rifle side and a pistol side but why they dont honor it I dont know.
We had a great time drinking fresh brewed beer and throwing axes! These are two activities that I would not usually think would be performed together, but we did it and had a great time doing it! We sat in the bar area when we were finished throwing axes and watched some college football on several of their tvs. Over all it was a great experience, and if you need some deer corn, a Bible or a shotgun, they've got that too!
Mixed experience due to staff - awesome place, some awesome people, but not everyone we dealt with was as awesome... Came in with a friend to shoot at the range and try out the brewery and was met at the door by a very friendly teenager who pointed the direction of the range and went down that way, where we were met by one of the least friendly staff members of any business ive ever dealt with.. From the initial interaction the man made sure to tell my friend and I that "he had never seen us there before",
Something for everyone! Staffed well with very nice and helpful people. The place was empty on a Friday night and we had it all to ourselves. The only complaint is the confusion about closing time
Had a great time axe throwing. Thanks to Wyatt for the awesome experience! He really did a great job explaining everything. We will definitely be back!
Took kids to freedom mill, it is was ok. Arcade was small, but has very different set of games. While I was there I saw they have fun range and went in to see, employees there were very rife and not so friendly. I asked couple of questions and it almost seemed like they did not want to answer. I asked whether they offer there basic pistol training was offered over thanks giving weekend, he thanks giving was not Sunday. Anyway I did not feel like they liked to help me. Will never go there. Bunch of stubborn
We've been to the FUN ZONE twice in 2 days and had a blast! The rate to play is better during the week when it's less busy. My kids loved the indoor and outdoor areas.
Just did Steve?s gun safety class and left with much more confidence in handling my firearm and gun knowledge than I came with! For new gun owners - I highly recommend Steve?s class!
We went with a group of 10 and every thing went great. They were all pleasant and had a blast throwing axes
Usually gun stores and ranges have employees who are passionate, friendly, and geared towards welcoming their customers. This location is all but that. Employees consistently act like you are a burden for merely existing. They are short, not friendly, and strangely act like they are forced to work there. It is a great location and has so much potential if only ?the captain could get the crew to buy in.?
If you are a city mouse, you need to visit Freedom Mill. If you are a post-ironic hipster, you need to visit Freedom Mill. If you want to visit an absolute unicorn of a business, you need to visit Freedom Mill. 5 stars, no notes. Freedom Mill is the definition of post-ironic and I love it! If you took any other part of their business and followed it with "and gun range", there is no way you could take it seriously. Gift shop and gun range. Brewery and gun range. Daycare and gun range. It's definitely wor
My wife and I went for the gun range. As always, it was a good experience. Nice clean range with plenty of lanes. Clean air, too! (If you're a shooter, you will know what this means) They have a nice selection of guns for sale as well. The last time we went we bought two pistols before leaving.
Steve Silvey has great knowledge in his firearms instruction for the beginner. Patient and attentive; needed attributes for those about to endeavor responsible firearm ownership. I'm looking forward to going to the next level in his courses!
We visited the Fun Zone aspect of Freedom Mill and were so impressed!! The indoor and outdoor spaces are clean and well intentioned. There is seating readily available for tired parents to supervise, lots of smaller activities inside the larger activities, and such a great variety of experiences for little imaginations to utilize. My almost 2 year old and 5 year old enjoyed themselves for hours. I enjoyed the crisp AC and the ability to let them play safely while I watched on. The ball pit and the interacti
We had the best time on 7/4 axe throwing, live music and fun crowd. Such a welcoming environment and friendly staff. They have so much more to offer than what we had time for. Cannot wait to go back.
If you are a repeat customer be careful. I have been on three separate visits and I brought my own gun. Today on my 4th visit apparently my gun and ammunition that I have used 3 previous times was suddenly banned with no explanation. Worst customer service I have ever had at a gun range. The workers love to gossip even though they are grown men. The range is not the best, the targets are falling apart and don't get me started about the terrible customer service. I have been coming for a year now and I have
Something different to do with the family. From ages, 15-65yo, this was enjoyable. Our one hour session was led by Peyton, very relaxed and professional. He was excellent at explaining the throwing technique. Will return. Highly recommend
This is more than a country store, this is a wonderland. You have a country store offering jams, icecream, candies, and even clothing. Then you have the part of the store that has guns and other weapons. There is also a ax throwing section that you and some friends can enjoy. Prices are very good and the variety of items is pretty impressive. Then this leads to the gun range. There are a few different packages for the gun range. The monitors are very helpful and friendly. Last but not least you have the arc
We had an amazing time at Freedom Mill Axe Throwing! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our Ax Master TJ, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, providing us with guidance and tips to improve our throws. Overall, it was a fantastic outing, and we can't wait to go back for more axe-throwing fun!
Very helpful people and reasonably priced. I'm new to gun ownership, and they took the time to answer my most basic inquiries and even went to the shooting area to make sure I was good to go with everything. Thanks!
The gun store and range are awesome here. Gun prices are very competitive for the market. My daughter went to visit the new fun zone over the weekend, and loved it. We also checked out the brewery and it is an awesome place to hang out and have a drink, or even come to watch the game. A bunch of TVs with NFL on during Sunday. Will be back again very soon!
We Loved our anniversary date day ace throwing at Freedom Mill. Our instructor, Tim was great! He was very helpful, encouraging, and a lot of fun. I was nervous but he gave us a briefing on how to throw and I surprisingly did well. We enjoyed the healthy competition between each other. We will come back again and recommend.
I absolutely love this place. All the beer is excellent, the spirits are very good and smooth for a local distillery, my kids love the new fun zone, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. This is our go-to hang out spot with friends.
Freedom Mill is totally awesome! All in one family fun. Staff is excellent. Big shout to Shane who coached us with our first axe throwing session. He was excellent and knows his stuff. So much to do and they have alot of great merchandise for sale. I highly recommend Freedom Mill!
Tim helps me out I appreciate everything he does he makes the experience at Freedom Mill awesome
Great family friendly fun place to visit for everyone. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Lots of options for fun, including food truck, arcade, axe throwing, mini bowling, gift shop, and a gun store connected to the building. Clean outside area and well clean and taken care of inside. Very reasonable prices as well. Overall, a great option for family fun or even adults only.
Good arcade. Lots of activities to check out at this place. Super nice people.
Went on a Tuesday. Was my first time and it was great! Tyler was super knowledgeable and helpful! He stayed with us until we were comfortable and gave lots of great pointers. Highly recommend this place.
After taking the basic pistol course, I feel much more confident in handling a firearm. Steve Silvey was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable. He was very patient and took time with each student. I highly recommend his class.
They charged us twice for axe throwing. Initially said that my card did not work and we paid in cash. I've sent several emails and showed the bank receipt where I was charged. I still have not been refunded my 50 usd.
Excellent and fun location. We come here every few weeks if we can. :)
This place was amazing! we had heard about it, seen the billboards, had friends tell us about it for a date night and we finally went to check it out. Booked the axe throwing date night package (1 hour of axe throwing, a gamecard, and an axe throwing instructor) and it was worth it. Actually a lot cheaper than I thought it would be to do axe throwing, I was prepped to spend a lot more but walked away feeling like I had gotten a straight up steal from the place. We did get a beer to drink while throwing an
Great place.family atmosphere Brought my 2 sons to the gun range had a great time. Only thing that wasnt 100% was the guy who set up in the bay right next to us with a muzzle break on his rifle lol. He was cool though and changed to a different bay. Ive probably done the same thing to other people. Youd swear someone was shooting a 50 cal next to you if you didnt know better and its just a 5.56. Just tell the other people or step back so the end of your barrel is between the bay walls and problem solved. No
I'd never been to Freedom Mill. My initial thoughts? Very impressed. Freedom Mill has something for everyone. Full arcade, country store, Ax throwing, food, ect. It was busy when I went, but the staff was very courteous as I explored the well -stocked gun shop. (Kudos to Tanner for his great service.) This is definitely a family friendly environment and I'm looking forward to shooting at the range.
We had a great time here with family. Theres something for everyone (Beer! Arcade! Shopping! Shooting! Ax Throwing!) . TJ was a great ax master - definitely recommend.
This place was definitely 5 stars hands down. It ended up being more than what we had expected. Very friendly environment. Shannon was definitely amazingly friendly. She answered any questions that we had and even gave us a tour of the little chickens (chicks). They have a lot of Patriotic and Christian merchandise. My brother and I will definitely be returning here in the very near future. Highly recommend coming here.
We had a great time throwing axes and shooting on the range! Our Ax Master (Brandon) was outstanding. He had us throwing like pros and encouraging different games to try. The hour flew by and we had a great time! Will be back to do it again.
Had a great time Axe throwing!! Our axe guide was very helpful with teaching us how to get the axe on the board!!
We took our 13 yr old axe throwing for his bday. And we had a blast!! They were professional and friendly! They helped to make it really fun! Great price for the amount of people we had and definitely plan to come again! Plus the kids loved the arcade!
This place has everything you need to enjoy a good day. They cater to the men, women, and children. We go up about once a month from Roswell. They always have something new and some form of an event. I highly recommend this place.
Brewery, axe throwing, arcade, shops....they have it all. I take my kids to the arcade, it's small but we have more fun there because it's never over crowded and the price is actually reasonable. Really love the lady at the ticket counter too. Great place from my little family.
I had an amazing experience at Freedom Mill Axe Throwing. I went with a girlfriend of mine for a last minute fun activity. Bailey was an amazing axe master who helped us learn as new axe throwers. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about form and precision. I'd highly recommend this place and activity for girl's night out, mom's night out, or any other reason to have some fun!
Simply and reasonably priced service. The whole experience was perfect and the customer service is top notch!! Definitely will use freedom mill dumpster service again.
Don't waste your time at their new Freedom Grill. Today is their second of opening. Their prices are very overpriced for being a meat and veggies place. For two people having a meat and two upgraded sides with an appetizer was $42. Their chicken fingers were overcooked and you couldn't hardly chew them. The okra and fried mushrooms were obviously frozen, like most of their items, but you could definitely taste it on these items. The mushrooms were chewy and disgusting. The fried pickles, while probably fr
This place is great. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The store itself is almost a must visit whether by yourself or with family. You have gun range and store, Christian book store, country store, arcade and axe throwing. There is something for everyone here. So if you are in the area stop in you won't be disappointed.
Some fruitcake who was working in the gun area gave horrible customer service today. Get over yourself, bro
My wife took the Basic pistol course with Steve S. She said he was very informative and patient. Highly recommend him for first time gun instruction.
Place has changed a lot since the last time I've been there. It's way better now! Great hangout place and things to do for the kids.
Just went through Basic Pistol Training Course. Was absolutely fantastic and thorough, Instructor's name was steve and he was a great teacher. He was polite, gave gentle corrective tips, and very helpful. Recommend him for all training.
Great facilities, super helpful staff. I brought my girls there and was able to spend some times with my daughters (10&16) and wife. Taught them about proper handling and safety. Then worked with them on shooting. The staff was there overseeing everyone?s safety and were helpful with any questions we had. I'm a repeat customer and enjoy myself every time I go there....my girls do too!
Our first phone order and drive thru pickup for lunch was a great experience. Food orders were still piping hot after getting back home in 20 minutes. Grilled chicken was moist and delicious. Potato salad was old fashioned, creamy and tasty. Tornado fries were so hardy and filling (saved half for another meal). Other sides were also good. Everything was yummy and satisfying! We will be back soon!
This place has always been very nice and we have been coming here before they even had the range. Unfortunately they are price gouging so hard it's just not acceptable. The guy even laughed when I made a comment about the current ammo prices, "Yeah the supply is better but people still pay the higher prices so" probably not a good idea to admit your store just price gouges to make more money. The 2A community should be welcoming to all newcomers and it's hard for me to bring new people into the hobby when i
Quality range, have been here multiple times and will be back many more!!
My husband and I attended the festivities for father's day upon his request. We've been to axe throwing here before and it wasn't the best experience, but we wanted to give it another try now that we've learned the basics. This time we got Gil and he changed our entire outlook on the entire business as a whole. This guy knows what he's doing and he loves his job. If we come back again, it's because of him! We really enjoyed the BBQ as well and just enjoyed the atmosphere as a whole.
This is a good place to go to spend the day shooting/shopping and even having lunch or dinner. Lots of stuff to look at and the lanes are very well maintained. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. The only reason I'm giving only three stars is because I find them to be a bit on the miserly side. For instance, if you buy a gun and ammo they offer you a lane for 5 for an hour. Pretty good deal, right? Well the normal price is 18 and if you have a second person sharing the lan
My Husband took me to get a gun for Christmas. We were greeted by Tyler and he was so helpful. He listened to what I wanted and knew exactly what fun would be the best fit for me. He was patient and kind and very helpful. Highly recommend this shop and Tyler
Had a great time! Shane was a phenomenal host and helped teach us all to throw the axe. We went for Mom's Mother's Day present and she had a marvelous time!
First time there, but definitely not our last! The employees there in every area were great!
Amazing little shop with a wide range of products available. I will typically drive out of my way to pick up feed for my chickens regularly due to their wide selection and overall better quality feed than most places around. The staff is always very helpful with questions. The attached gun range and barbecue restaurant add a nice touch to an already great store.
My wife and I had a blast on a double date night with her sister and brother-in-law. Turner was a great axe coach and we're looking forward to coming back with our kids, and another date night at the gun range. This is a nice place with super friendly staff. Thanks FM!
I love this place. It has a little bit of everything: *gift shop *general store style inventory *local products & snacks (like jerky) *restaurant *brewery *arcade *gun store *firing range *firearms safety classes Every time I go, I discover something new. The business offers something for everyone & the people there are great!
Great family adventures. Clean and well kept facilities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Videogames for kids, pizza and beer on tap. Axe throwing, gun range, and more. Highly recommend this for a fun family afternoon or work team building experience.
I love this gun shop and shooting range. Also the NRA instructors are great. My daughter and I took some classes together to start her in shooting. They take their time with each student and help them develop a comfort level with shooting. The range is brand new and state of the art. Good selection of new guns and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Additionally the whole super store model is super cool, the whole family can each and shop and just enjoy the day together. Good family fun.
What an awesome experience exercising my 2nd amendment rights! The gun selection is great. The place is extremely clean, prices are more than fair. What separates Freedom Mill is their people. Chase has put together an incredible staff. Tanner and Steve?s knowledge makes this the only place I buy guns! You won't get this type of service anywhere else. Thanks Freedom Mill!
This place has it all and is run by a very knowledgeable staff. The shooting simulator was worth our long drive to get to the shop! To top it off, we ate lunch and had a piece of cake for lunch. Well worth the drive from Tennessee. Keep up the good work; we will be back!
This place is awesome, today was the first time going. The range prices were excellent. We looked around and we're looking at the gun selection and the prices were more than fair especially in today?s market. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great place to shoot indoor.
This place is amazing! I don't do business with any other gun store! Best prices, excellent customer service, everyone that works there is friendly and knowledgeable. If there is something you are looking for and they do not have it they can order it for you. Great range. They help you to become a better shooter. They offer free gun safety classes and also paid classes. The barbecue is a great bonus, it's delicious and I get to look at guns afterwards. This place has my business for life.
My husband and I were new to shooting and Steve Silvey was extremely helpful in answering questions. He took the time to offer suggestions as to what type of guns were suitable for us. We signed up for his training courses from basic to tactical home defense. Steve is an excellent instructor. His courses were extremely beneficial in helping us appreciate how important gun safety and proper techniques are.
Not many places like Freedom Mill left. Excellent food , a country menu with a wide variety and top notch customer service with a smile. The store and gun range are like none other. North Georgia?s best! Will make this place a regular.
Store is fantastic. They just opened their gun range and I was really looking forward to seeing what the range was like. I've been a member of John's Creek Gun Range for about 3 years. I've really liked it their wide open range and very friendly staff. Can't stand Bulls eye customer service thus the reason I travel to John's Creek to shoot. Well the other day I went in to check out the range and the new renovations. Looked great. Hear comes the sad part. I went up to the range desk and ask if I could barro
Bakery is excellent. The best German chocolate cupcake I've ever had! the strawberry was good but was just good...get the German chocolate was amazing! Bbq was delish the chicken is sliced and not pulled which was juicy and great. Mac was super cheesy and beans were good. Everyone was nice and it was a great 2st time experience.
Good prices with limited selection. (I think they sell out quickly with the pricing) They can get almost anything in about a week, so that's a plus. I've ordered through them and it was fast and easy. Just tried out the new range and it's clean with excellent ventilation. Best range in the area hands down. It takes a while to check in so be paitent, about 5 mins per person so if its busy, then you might wait longer than shoot, but I'm sure they'll figure it out and improve that process. Knowledgeable
There is no food here despite the word "eat" being the first thing on many of the signs. The beer is actually decent from what I had on a previous visit, but we had to pass today. They advertise food trucks but didn't have any at noon on a Saturday.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
