Has a wonderful time with my family. Spent time playing coop games like retro racing games with my wife and Mortal Kombat and marvel vs capcom with my son (they had a blast) and I loved introducing my 8 year old to the N64 that I grew up playing on a genuine CRT TV Wonderfully clean environment and they didn't lack on food or nice aesthetic vintage looking drinks Pricing was excellent at a simple entrance fee too

We love that place. We play there 1-2 times a month. All of them were great experiences. Nostalgic and fantastic. There is a so beautiful games. Meals are a little bit expensive but still good. Drinks are cheap. Friendly stuffs help a lot to everyone. Thank you for being great.

Pretty cool place. Unlimited game play for about $13. Alcoholic beverages were reasonably priced and they had a good selection. Some of the games were quite old but still fun. Definitely a cool place for adults. There weren't many kids and plenty of places to sit and drink and eat. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

The Deluxe Hot Dog is absolutely fabulous! Delicious and flavorful! Fun place for family and friends to spend time together. Can bring cake for a birthday or special occasion.

Free Play is always a fun time. There are lots of different games to choose from and play. This particular location is very clean and the drinks are good and strong which makes for a very fun night out. Choose the time you are going to go wisely because certain days / times are really crowded with young kids which can detract a bit from the experience.

My first game was R-Type for the original Gameboy back in 1992. I didn't realize at the time it was a port of an arcade game. But when I later learned this, I would always look for it whenever I went to an Arcade. But have never been able to find it. Then this past weekend went to FreePlay in Richardson, TX and boom! It was my first time here and had a blast actually. All the retro games and aesthetic looks were so cool! Definitely and old school vibe and it had a seating area which was cool! Lots of different styled games. I had so much fun with games I have never even played as a genz. Pricing per person was very reasonable, especially for free play! Never been to an arcade like this so I'll definitely be back!

This place is super rad. My kids and I drove down from OKC and it was well worth the trip. We had a blast. Great game selection.

Free Play in Richardson has been and STILL great! Tons of games, great for the whole family. Do NOT skip eating something off the menu. Their kitchen is not an afterthought, on the contrary, you will find delicious food waiting for you!

This was such a fun place. My pre-teen and their friend enjoyed playing old school arcade games and pin-ball machines. We enjoyed it as adults. Call ahead of time, if possible, to find out any age restrictions. We showed up on a Saturday early evening, and the staff let us know that after 9:00 p.m., it would be 21 and over, so we would have to leave by then.

I get rules are rules, but they could have let me and my daughter finish the game we were already actively playing. There was only 30 seconds left of our race. Won't be back.

I dumped a lot of money there to get free admission cards punched (their Beer Loyalty Cards). When I went in a few months ago to redeem them, they refused to honor them!! They gave me the excuse that they barely changed systems and would no long accept the free admission voucher that THEY gave to me for a price. Totally slimy. Will not return after being lied to and basically stolen from.

We were looking for a rainy-day activity on vacation and found this on Google Maps. We were fine with the $12/person charge, even with six people in our family, but apparently it was half price for arriving in the first hour! Score! There was a decent selection of games, and all the games were in great shape. They were constantly walking around cleaning and looking for things needing fixed. What a cool place! I grew up in Garland and spent many hours at the now demolished Richardson Square Mall. Who would?ve thought there such a trendy place would arise from the ashes of the area???? $12 to get in, and 18 and up after 9pm weekdays. Tons of vintage (and not so vintage) arcade games. All in perfect working order!!! Lots of craft beers on draft and in cans/bottles. The food menu is small, mostly small pizzas and panini?s, but all were tasty that we tried (especially the Chicken Tikka pizza - YUM)

It was a little hard to find, tucked in to an older shopping center that's under construction. Once we found the place, it was awesome! Quite a lot of old and new games, great food the kids and I loved, and a great selection of grown up drinks for the grown-up kids (me).

We went here for my daughters birthday. The price of admission is fair. The vibe is definitely retro-cade! There is a great drink selection, the food options are slim. The staff wasn't very personable but it may have been a rough day. We had a good time though.

So, the arcade selection is not as good as it used to be. There were some great classics that aren't there anymore and instead there are tables. Lovely retro game center! I love the fact that this place has aye requirements they actually take seriously with wrist bands and such. I have gone here multiple times since young with different friends and always come out feeling so lucky to live near a place that does 10 dollars for so many games and no time limit! We had a great, retro time celebrating my husband?s birthday. The info on the FreePlay website is very thorough, and booking a table, time and food was straightforward. Thanks to Dylan, Denzel, Pete, and the rest of the staff for your attention to details (thanks for labeling all our take home boxes!). I really like this setup. We went here for our work party and the person that set it up said it was very inexpensive. I don't know the exact price but I thought she said it was around $10 per table and then approx $5 per person and it's unlimited free play. You're given a wristband that will show you paid and then you can go in and out as you please. The arcade is large and it's mainly games from the 80s. This is a great location to bring the whole family. A lot of people have tried this concept but Free Play did it right. All the games work very well and they have a great mix of the classics. The beer selection was surprisingly decent but the prices were a little high. This is a place you can definitely spend more than 2 hours at. During the weekends that can get crowded with a ton of kids. I will be going back soon.

Fun place but?. We came here once before and they gave us a free entry coupon for purchasing 6 drinks while were here. Ridiculous policy! They make people pay even when they just sit at the bar and watch over the kids they brought to play. Will never bring my kids to play there again. The food is also awful, expensive and in small portions!

I hosted a grown up party here and it was a huge hit! Gayle was very prompt about answering me with what she needed and what to expect. The staff had the food ready when I asked and it was delicious! The food may sound like ?arcade? food, but it was actually really really good and so beautifully presented! I highly recommend hosting events here.

Avoid the food, seems like the only method of cooking back there is a microwave. I was disappointed to when the pizza arrived and the sandwich wasn't great either. Many of the arcade games are super old The only redeeming part of the experience were the Japanese arcade games and the drink specials. Not too bad of a price for all day gaming either.

Best throw back arcade in the metroplex if not the best arcade I've ever visited. $11 gives you unlimited free game play. All the best games from the 80s and 90s are here and more importantly they were all in great working order. This place even won two awards from the 2019 Observer - Best Retro Arcade in Dallas AND Best Beer Selection in Dallas!

I love Free Play Richardson! We've been local patrons since they opened, and have felt fortunate that the original location is right down the street from us. Other newer Free Play locations are better equipped to handle crowds from tournaments or meetups, but the OG location still has its charm. Shout out to Pinball Mondays at Richardson!

Our teenage greandkids love the unlimited machine play at this place. It's definitely no-frills, but the games are fun to play. The turkey and bacon sandwich is delicious.

Think of Free Play as the best, most well-maintained arcade you ever went to as a kid, but with beer, a flat-fee entry, and all the machines set to free play. Unlike so many retro arcades, you won't find emulators and broken games. All the games are original, lovingly taken care of, and remarkably well curated. Besides all the old standards, you'll find games here you might never have seen the first time around. The staff is knowledgeable, too. Ask them what games are new or what to check out.

I go here every Thursday for the super smash bros tournament. wonderful environment, friendly bartenders and it seems like a different list of draft beers each week! I love the variety! I like the large selection of retro games they have mixed with some new gen stuff like street fighter 6 cab.

Came here with family, had a great time!!!!! $10 will give you free play in all the retro machines games, they really need an extra miss Pac-Man! Tons of great games! Lots of classics including Centipede and PacMan. Fantastic place to go if you want classic fun without kids when they shut it down for minors at night. Careful of the tables, some of them tilt kinda easy and we spilled our drinks. It's got a decent bartender but they dont have a big selection. That's really not so bad though because they do have at least a good local brew list. If you've got 10 bucks and nothing to do, I highly recommend it.

This little gem is quietly tucked into this strip mall. But don't let its little size fool you. It has LOTS of retro and some newish games. For $10 you get access to tons of arcade and pinball machines both old and... Newer. Most of the machines are in very good conditions and often work well. The drink prices are fair and the food is decent enough (though there are lots of cheaper fast food options nearby). Still, $4 for a bottle of Bluemoon is not bad at all! Go check them out!

Lots of fun, tons of classic arcade games, pinball machines, and sit down games. They rotate in different games every now and then, and have all the old classics. They also have a small snack bar area with craft beers. Highly recommended place for anyone from the 70s, 80s, or early 90s that played games growing up.

This place is great! Bring earplugs! The constant noises emanating from the machines will definitely give you a headache that leads to you leaving before really getting your money's worth. The drinks are pricey with not many options even for non alcoholic drinks. Need to upgrade that situation. Otherwise the employees are super friendly and helpful.

Went there with a training class from my company and had a great time. This place is definitely more for the adults and those feeling nostalgic. Eighties music playing in the background. This place is great! It has a good mix of classic and newer video games, as well as pinball. My daughter really enjoyed pong, and the Foosball-style hockey game near the front door. They have a small but impressive menu, with different press sandwiches with pizza as well. The beer last is massive, and I also liked that they had a large amount of cider to choose from.

Been going every Sunday since February, brought the family and nieces about 3 weeks ago and my dad loves the Qix & marble madness games.

My family and I had such a great time! Its affordable and my kids loved playing all the vintage games! All the games were original and in perfect working condition. It was clean and everyone was very friendly!

This place was awesome! I loved getting to play so many games for one price. I think I spent over five hours there! The food is decent ? nothing to cry home about but nothing to complain about. I will say the bartenders weren't the friendliest in the world, but I suppose we all can become jaded after dealing with rude customers.
