Customer Reviews

I went to the gift shop under the same name with my girlfriend and they sold counterfeit Sonny Angels. The tape for the packaging made me somewhat suspicious, seeing that it was unevenly placed masking tape that held it together. But the figures themselves once opened had uneven paint jobs, warped proportions, and marks all about them. Its a shame that somebody should spend money on an advertised item and receive a fake version of it, so I hope this might serve as a warning to anyone that finds them still s

The claw machines were so rigged it was almost comical. Claws literally only dropped down halfway not even making it to items, claws not even attempting to close and when items were grabbed claws clearly reopened to drop items (items not even ?slipping out? while bringing the items back to the dispensary shoot . While we had been excited about ?half price? playtime, it wasn't worth the money we spent.

My daughter did not get the prize that she was very excited to open and if you read this do not get the nail set that does not stay on your nails

Friendly staff. After a fun time there, our kids came very close to having enough tickets for one item. Though we didn't ask, the person behind the desk offered to add an additional couple of tickets to get it. As we were leaving, another staff member gave us a free shot at one of the games of chance, allowing us to bring home a small plush toy. Because of how well we were treated there, you can bet we'll come back to Frank's Arcade on our next return to Point Pleasant!

been coming to franks fun center since i was about 1 day old and wow this place instantly gives me serotonin. maybe it's vibes, maybe it's the nostalgia but i would (and basically do in the summer) live here if i could. almost docked a star bc we saved up our tickets for 5 years to get penny boards and then by the time we had enough saved they got rid of them but that's a story for another time :)

Whether it's been 30 years and you've been playing at Arcades at Point pleasant or start working on the boardwalk, franks fun center is the best place to do either. Work/ play/ bit of both with proper hours. Never be afraid to show happiness or sadness! (Great for kids to help show) Friends always around in life, if not games!!

We visited the boardwalk twice. We went to both the Pavillion Arcade and Frank's Fun Center. I personally liked Frank's Fun Center the best. It had lots of games that appealed to both my kids. My daughter loves the claw machines, but I usually LOATH the thought of wasting money on them. Most of Frank's were play to win, which was great because my daughter always walked away with something. My son likes the games you earn tickets to get prizes. In my opinion, don't even waste your time at the other arcades.

The best arcade on the boardwalk, and probably my favorite I've ever been to. I enjoy arcades for the claw machines, so I can only speak on them, but the whole arcade is clean with a variety of games throughout. The staff is very friendly and helpful and make the whole experience even more enjoyable. Like most arcades, some of the claw machines don't allow exchanges for the prizes, but for the machines that don't, you can kindly ask the staff to rearrange the machine for you to put your favorite character t

Usually arcades at the beach are frustrating, but one of the workers here was the sweetest, he was kind and caring. I definitely recommend coming here when you stop at the beach! :)

Don't waste your money here! The claws for the machines aren't strong enough even though it was aimed perfectly. We let management know and they laughed at us and basically said that's too bad. Not worth it!

The most fair arcade on the islands. The half price time is such a good deal. Highly recommend.

Hate to write this review but no other way to get managements attention. In yesterday with the family. I had to add money to my grandsons play card. I took out what I thought was a 1 dollar bill then realized it was 100 dollar bill. I told attendant immediately as he was putting under register and he insisted it was a 1 dollar bill. I came back and asked to speak to a manager. I was told the register would be counter at 4 pm and they would reach out to me. No such call came. I followed up today and l

we have been taking the kids here for years & they love it. Such a good family spot!! Prices have gotten expensive but can't blame the businesses for that!

I went today with my 2 and 4 year old and they had a blast! Great game selection! The card was a little tricky thoughh... I found myself turning it over and over to get it to scan. Otherwise, great for kids and adults alike!

Best arcade I have visited down the shore. Phil was super friendly and helpful, left with awesome prizes, and a fun memory!

We love it here, we drive over an hour to come and enjoy all the games. Everyone is very helpful and you actually can win prizes. We now recommend to everyone

I've had issues with a few of the machines here and in local to the area so I'm here often and I just would like to see some of the machines Serviced better.. It's minimal I have an issue but several times each season for me is more then I want to have an issue.

I went to the batting cages with my grandson at 11:45. I was told they open at 12 noon. At 12;15 they were not open We went back to Frank's and the guy said they open at 2 now I asked for the manager and he said sorry we open at 2 When I said I was told 12 he was rude and didn't really care. He was not very pleasant. And my grandson was disappointed. I guess he doesn't care because there are no other batting cages in the area

I was hoping for more video games. Fair prices for game card and games. We spent the most time playing skee ball and air hockey. The place was very crowded with a line outside the door. There were plastic dividers between games, but social distancing was nearly impossible.

Lots of fun games. Restaurants, bars and beach near by!

Not too many prizes on off peak season. Plus, bathroom is not available. We used to get a lot of hello kitty, Pushin and Gudetama there but they seem not adding more in inventory anymore. Still a good place to go.

I posted a review a few years ago on this arcade. It is a good arcade, maybe the best on the boardwalk. However, they have been getting a lot more expensive recently. It's not cool. Raising stuff that's $1 to $2 isnt cool. They've even disabled extra plays on some of their machines. That's a shame. I've always liked Frank's because they seemed to not be the most greedy, but its definitely a shame to see them raising prices and definitely weakening machines. Update: just went today and I'm lowering my revie

Always a fun place to visit. I just wish they still had pinball machines.

Has really good games here and when you buy tickets or get credits for rides and games they give you a coupon book which has coupons that you can use at Frank's Fun House. The prizes are cheap but the fun you can have playingbthe games are well worth the stay. If it a go if your in town right next to jakes crab house.

Great games! Fair claw machines, they felt like games of skill not games of chance. Very friendly helpful staff.

Frank's Fun Center is a complete rip off! My family and I went to play in the arcade, specifically the apple watch claw machine. We had the watch in the claw, twice, when it paused and opened up, dropping it. We talked to multiple employees and the 'manager' asking for a refund but were told we could only have a free game or arcade credit. As we were walking away, two of our group saw the same happen to the manager, who looked at us and said it simply dropped it. This arcade deserves 0 stars but Google insi

I don't agree with the other user AT ALL this place. Me and My Wife Go here ALL THE TIME best place ever no drunks or rowdy people nice place to just have fun and the staff is very nice never been rude once. LOVE THIS PLACE The games brake because COME excited young kids play them all day lol anyone with kids know they will find a way to break a brick wall so breakdowns happen stop being a baby. I can say from just seeing first hand of the course of me and my wife going there that they make it a priority to

Every time I go it's better then the last!? Such a family fun place! Frank senior,Frank junior & the staff are just like family!???? Best arcade on the Jersey Shore???? won't go any where else!

Fun arcade, probably the best on the boardwalk, offer great prizes and have a big selection of crane machines and arcade games. Nice place to bring friends and family. The workers here are always nice and helpful as well.

Great redemption games and prizes. Hard to go wrong. Only a few arcade games but they are good ones. They have vending machines for drinks, snacks, and cigarettes. Open year round with parking.

Absolutely awesome place to go! Games are so fun and the prices are Good! Will always return! Highly recommend here!

Although it was out of season we found the place to be exciting fun and somewhat crowded marijuana 110 point she really was happy and she was able to get a Dum Dum lollipop that sounds

Horrible place to spend your time, workers try their best to help you and are attentive sometimes, floor workers are awesome but the games there and some of the managers are awful, would not recomend to have a good time at his place and would not leave your bike near this arcade because they slice your tires and cut your chains.

A go to spot when visitng Jenkinsons, loved this one poker game they had.

To many crane games,, but had a great time with the non crane games and didn't play 1 crane game. They had space invaders, basketball, skee ball, and Jurasic Park!

Been going here since I was a small child with my parents. Now I have a child of my own. Decent, but small arcade with all the normal games you would expect to find.

A lot of winners here. Didn't feel like I just blew all my money on nothing. 11-year-old loved it.

Can spend a whole day here. Lots of different machines to choose from. Tons of games. Different prizes or lots of ways to earn tickets to choose your prize. Neat stuff.

Always a good time at Frank's.

This place was great. Lots of smaller kid games. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I have been taking my kids there forever. Now my kids are adults and they still like going there. We love it.

Machines are not great and are over-priced at $1 and up per play. Not a lot of prizes also. Note- they list online as open during winter but are not during week. Only Pavilion was open during winter last 3 times I was in area and went there.

Kids had fun with the machines there.

One of my favorite places to go when I'm down at the shore.

Had fun here with the kids they won lot's of stuff ?????? check ?? it out

Great place....cuuute prizes! Good prices and deals on games... scored a cute Bob Ross plush toy

This is our favorite arcade down the shore. The staff is helpful and we always have a blast!

Great place . Me and my wife Jean had a great time today. Staff is very attentive

There are a few nice people working here, but whoever owns this place does not seem to understand that it only takes one rude employee to lose a customer forever. I will NEVER spend my money here again.

Always have an enjoyable time here. Staff is friendly and patient with children choosing their prizes.

good staff and very nice games just lower the payout rate of the claws and get better prizes and make the good ones less expensive

Meh overpriced lame arcade. Total tourist trap. I.E win ticket games are the big thing. But its the Boardwalk what can you expect.

Frank?s... Pay $25 to play 5-6 games and walk away with a Bon Jovi brand toothpick for a prize.

Good place for young kids to regain some sense of normalcy amidst all the coronavirus restrictions.

Great place that has half off games 11-3

Really gone down hill prices doubled and staff not as friendly as in the past.

BEWARE USING A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD THEY JUST CHARGED MORE $$ ON MY CARD MULTIPLE TIMES WITH SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS AFTER I LEFT!! SCAMMERS!!

Games are less rigged then jenkinsons. Frank's is the best arcade in point.

Great arcade and a nice assortment of prizes.

We had a blast! My son with autism played with daddy for hours!

Classic games to modern games!!! I really felt like I was a kid again!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
