Took my grandson (11yo) for pancakes and pins. We had so much fun. Spent the 2nd hour playing arcade games.Highly recommend. Best pancakes I've had in a long time. Employees were friendly and professional.
Hey, we had a blast at that place! It was a last-minute thing, I was searching for a fun spot to take the kids. We found it online and decided to check it out. The check-in process was a breeze, and the prices were fair compared to other similar event centers. We got a lane right away, but the bowling shoes need an upgrade. Mine were all bent up like an old banana peel and super old. We ordered food right at our lane, which was super convenient. After bowling, we played some games and had an awesome time. T
Took my kids here yesterday for my daughter 7th birthday and my kids had a blast! We plan on coming back very soon the prices was reasonable and the food was ok. My kids really loved the arcade and laser tag and my husband loved the drink selection so overall it was a great experience!!!!!
We recently threw an event here that included adults and kids of all ages. It was the perfect venue for everybody and we all had a blast! Diane and Cora did a fantastic job fielding questions and putting together our event, and Bree and Robbie were excellent servers for our party and took very good care of us. Thank you all so much!
The main reason to go is for this really cute hostess, Haley C. She's so nice. The food is tasty and the service is fast, even when the restaurant is full of other people. My friend who got the pizza said it tastes just like Chuck E. Cheese pizza. My other friend got two jolly rancher shooters and loved them! They are so generous with their liquor that I had to drive her home after just two. The arcade smells a little funny but that is made up for by the bathrooms actually smelling fine. The bowling looked
First visit today with my boys and FDFC gets a GO. Did bowling first; loved it??. The arcade is mega uber awesome. But the pinball room? (In my Italian Goodfellas voice) Forget about it. ?? The mutant turtle pinball multi-ball experience is next level bananas ??. Like 7 balls at once. Insane! Definitely will return. ????????
It was a great birthday lunch for 10 year old. We all loved it! The pizza was good. The bone-in wings were delicious and the atmosphere great: relaxing, clean and inviting. A great place for both kids and adults. Oh, and the restrooms get an AAA+ rating. ????
It's a fun alternative to Dave & Buster's. In addition to all the video and arcade games, there's a full bowling alley. They have private party rooms for birthdays and other occasions, and there's a sports bar (full bar) area with plenty of TVs. It's more kid centric than Dave & Buster's, but this place is brand new and will find its audience in time. The wait staff are fantastic, friendly and very accommodating. I can't wait to see how Fourth Dimension grows.
This is Frederick's version of Dave and Busters!!! It is amazing!! Bowling alley, yup... pool, yup. Arcade games, yup.. a bar with a billion drinks, yup... amazing food, yup!!! What do they add?? Laser tag, and a WAY BETTER drink mwnu!!menu!!! This place is crazy awesome!!! The bowling is a great time, with up to 6 people per lane!!! 10 bucks for 3 games of pool is not a great deal, but not the worst... The pizza is great, and they make real crushes!!! Do not miss out!!! What a great tim
The arcade games are a fun experience but the bowling leaves something to be desired. The pins are attached with strings and are not real bowling pins. The kids had a fun time though.
Pricey and needs more bowling lanes..Not easy to get a lane. Been there twice and haven't bowled yet. Also needs more pool tables. The space the three pool tables are in is small. It's hard to play comfortably. Constantly asking people to excuse you because you have to extend the pool stick out to take your shot - oh and the rail....behind you that divides the pool table and the eating/bar area. Doesn't work well when using a pool stick.
Nice place pretty chill for a Sunday alot to take in the kids had a great time playing video games and laser tag. Food was better than expected server was nice and attentive. Will return again
Went for my boyfriends birthday and the arcade/bowling was pretty decent. The biggest disappointment and reasoning behind this 1 star review are the ridiculous prices that I was charged for mediocre food and drinks. The largest frustration was asking the waitress what alcohol was in the icee that was in the alcohol menu for $11 And being told we can have either tequila or vodka. After asking for tequila, getting our drinks which were ?okay? and then getting a bill of $12 for the drinks and $18 for the tequ
This place is so much fun - there bowling - pool tables an arcade a bar area a lounge staff are all friendly n helpful . Highly suggest going.
The food was ok. The wings and drinks are good. We celebrated my birthday there on Jan 26th. My son loved the place. It's a smaller version of Dave & Busters.
MAIN POINT/UPDATE: I tried this place out again today and I can confirm that it's simply "Over-Priced Dave and Busters at home". The service is slow, the obscured arcade prices are very high, and the drinks are underpoured (they use half jiggers to measure shots) . Please note, I was the DD, I arrived, and left sober. Frederick has SO much more to offer don't waste you time or money here. TLDR: DON'T BOWL HERE!!!! I really wanted to like this place, but had one of the worst overpriced bowling experience
Nice place. Little pricey but they have some good options. Kids enjoyed themselves. The bar is good too, decent food and drinks.
From a Frederick native that was in town to visit. I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your establishment. I purchased tickets for your escape room, only to later find out that a minimum of four participants was required to play. This crucial detail was not made clear at the time of purchase, and as a result, I was unable to use the tickets as intended. When I requested a refund due to this oversight, I was met with resistance from your staff. I find this re
Had a wonderful time with the escape room and arcade. Seems they've made some refinements with the menu, and simplified things. Most everyone was pleasant and made sure we were taken care of.
Had my sons birthday party. The kids really enjoyed everything. Party hosts could have been a little more attentive to our group but was a great time.
Nice looking facility, but would be nice if they advertised or posted on their website the bowling league schedules, or even a note in the bowling lane hours to call ahead about closures for league events. A note on the door doesn't do much justice.
This place is a blast! Check in was easy and there is so much to do. It can get quite expensive if you're not watching what you're spending but 100% worth it completely.
Fun place for the kids. They loved the games and the food is decent for a bowling alley. Bowling is super fun, but strange with curtains hanging to divide different groups of bowlers. I recommend familes visit the center earlier rather than later. Saturday night was very busy! Update- I went back on another evening with my kids and I wasn't so happy to be there. The atmosphere did not seem family friendly. I will not be back.
For a Spring Break Monday, this was worth the drive. Great service from Robert H at the restaurant area and there was so much to do and play. We will be returning.
Love this place. Great to take my toddler and let him play while my husband and I have a drink. My toddler also loves the bowling and they have the dinosaur slide things for kids to put their ball on. Highly recommend!!!
Our teenagers had a pretty good time here. Lots of options for all ages. Would totally recommend!
We really had fun here! We went here as family. The ambience was really Amazing and everything was very well managed. They have different charges for weekdays and weekend also at first half and second half. You get options to take a lane for hour basis, you can also take better package and play all the games. You will be charged 4$ for renting the shoes. Everything was really worth. Go for this place of you see this as an option near by.
Bowling lanes are super janky. Really tight lanes spacing and the pin system was a string type. The system glitched out and would claim gutter ball when we hadn't even thrown yet, it would pull the pins up mid-throw and call gutter, and it would pull pins early as they were falling and not count some knocked pins. The mechanic never showed up when I used the call button and the front desk never sent someone. Still had fun since it was for fun, but they seriously need to get an old-school system as this one
Came for pins and pancakes; everything was really clean and well maintained. All of the staff were really nice!
It is a nice place to take the kids, but indiscreetly charging 18% gratuity on the food and alcohol menu is very deceiving. They have signs randomly placed on walls but the way the bill looks When you get it Makes it look like it is an option. So when you add 18% gratuity to the bill, you're actually giving them almost 40%. I called this highway robbery. When I mentioned to the manager that I double tipped on this bill, he was very quick to refund my money as if it happens quite often. In my humble opinion,
Played a few hours of Arcade games and the Laser Tag, both were fun. Everything was fun until bowling, an hour of bowing at lane #15 we had 3 mechanical errors having us wait probably all together 15 minutes. Well they credited us maybe 10 minutes and we had 2 people left in the 10th and they would not give us any more time do to a reservation? It was 20 minutes until 7pm and we only needed a few minutes. Also they had messed up one of our drinks and my wife ended up not getting the drink she asked for beca
This may be the best facility of its kind we've ever visited (i.e., a family fun center with arcade games and other activities). Everything seems very new, attractive and clean, including the bathrooms. While some of the arcade games were familiar (generally fun favorites), many of the other activities on offer were especially original and interesting. The XD Dark ride was really terrific; we liked the Haunted Carnival one so much we did it twice. Several of the arcade games were very cool -- multiple ve
Well, first impressions on the outside weren't that pleasant, smelled like weed and cigarettes, but on the good side, bowling was very fun, but on the downside we got served to an unclean table, and the bowling balls got stuck a few times, I feel like you should get compensation like 5 more minutes of bowling time for having to wait for the balls to get fixed. Next we traveled to the arcade section after doing the push it game, where it spins a wheel and if you get the 100, 2x in a row, you win the jack pot
We went for pins and pancakes on Sunday morning. It's a clean well kept facility but it took over an hour to get pancakes, this is not the only time I've been and had trouble getting service at the bowling lanes, kinda frustrating
Well hidden inside a new business park where it is virtually the only open venue, Fourth Demension Fun Center is amazing. Bowling, pool, laser tag, and an arcade to rival the big guns. Not to mention good food and service to boot. Delight for the whole family. Worth the hour drive from Baltimore.
First time. Had a blast! Did bowling with the family. People were very nice. We will definitely come back! It was a packed house but didn't feel too crowded. Will do laser tag next time for sure
Great indoor experience for children. The arcade and bowling area is entertaining. The prices are reasonable and the weekly specials make it worth while. The staff is friendly and the food is of good quality considering the type of establishment.
Updated: awesome food, service and experience. I really think they fixes the initial opening issues and highly recommend going here for just about any event! Original: The arcade, bowling and escape rooms are awesome. BUT the speed of service is horrendous! When we sat down it took 3 hours to get food. And drinks took about an hour each to come out. Possibly the slowest service ever. If they can fix this I think it would be a 5 star facility!
Great place to hangout with friends and family. We did go on Sunday around 7ish and we were able to get bowling lane, but if you planning over weekend always call them and do booking. Also played pool and some other fun games. Did ordered food and drinks. Over all service was good and but food was ok. Definitely worth visiting to have good time.
They don't "support veterans or veteran organizations." Will never support them again which is unfortunate cause we liked the place. But not supporting a veteran cause to end veteran suicide is WILD.
It's like Dave & Busters, but it has more games. Like 4D VR games, bowling, escape room, laser tag, and pinball machine. It was a lot of fun!
We always have a good time whenever we stop in even if it is for a couple minutes or hours of fun. Facility is kept clean. Games are in good working condition. Staff has always been friendly to us even when they may be a little short handed.
Place was pretty good. Lots of fun. Food was not that great though. Drinks were very tasty.
On the website for ?April? deals it says $18 Weekdays bowling after 7pm. But because it's spring break, apparently that doesn't apply. Put that on you website ?????????
Lots to do! They have a somewhat decent restaurant on site. The bowling is string bowling but it's still good. You will probably want to reserve in advance unless you don't mind waiting for a bit for a lane on busy days. But they have a large arcade and even escape rooms and laser tag. The laser tag is loads of fun.
This is easily one of our favorite places to come! Food portions are generous! Love the quesadillas and salads! The bowling is very nice. It's clean and spaced out, it's not nasty like other bowling alleys. Prices are very reasonable! The arcade is also amazing! A great place for us old folks to have fun and the young kids!
Current lineup of pins. Great talking with the head tech who gave us a personal tour and showed us the "Easter egg" on one of them. I would love to get his contact info to stay in touch--nothing weird, just to say hi whenever I visit from Portugal and stay in the loop on the machines.
Completely unorganized. BAD: Food: - To start their water does not taste like water it has a HORRIBLE TASTE. It wasn't just tap water, it was worse. We switched to Coke and they brought us Diet Coke! Seriously! Finally we got regular coke about 30min from the time we originally ordered drinks. - We ordered nachos and waited maybe 40min for them to come out cold, with the cheese hardened and then less than 5 minutes later our main entrees come out. - We were rarely checked on. - Table was never cleared, our
This place is way overpriced. Went there for bowling, the area was cramped and the bowling pins were attached to strings (never seen this). Was forced to purchase bowling shoes although I didn't need them. Pool table area was CONVENIENTLY positioned in the walkway area to the bowling, so I constantly had to be careful not to bump into everyone walking pass. Hard pass for this place next time.
Price reasonable string pin not sure yet but the machanic was more interested in his cellphone then the lanes also the lanes not waxed almost fell forward do to no slide all in all I'll try other Ally more traditional
Boutique bowling isn't as fun as the real kind. The pins are on strings which changes rhe movement of the pins when the ball hits them. When you take away the transfer of momentum from the ball hitting the pins and the pins hitting each other, it's not as fun.
Great for a Birthday party. But would definitely come back for the food. Yummy ??
Absolutely a horrible experience during a birthday party for an 11 year old. The package included bowling, laser tag, and arcade cards. There was no organization when arriving. The ?host? did not assist in any way setting up the bowling lanes. There was no waitress (or the host) around for ordering any food/drinks for the adults. When moving to the party room, there was pizza and drinks already in the room, but no host. The host was not present in the room at all and therefore didn't help with giving out p
Its always a great time here. Theres so much to do. We always tend to do the laser tag and bowling. But there are alpt of decent arcade games too.
They were fighting the zombies we all did like 4 more rounds it was a lot of fun. The food was great the staff was very pleasant ?? ?? ?? you will love everything about this place!!!!
Pricy but fun. Food is really good. A bit disappointed the bowling was string pins. Overall, had a great time!
This place is so fun to come with family or friends. And just have a fun time. They have food, arcade games, a bar, sports shops, etc.
Great place, reserve bowling early. I couldn't get a lane they were full till the end of the night. Plus full bar
Yesterday, on a Saturday evening, our group of 8 went bowling for our daughter's birthday. Our server, Mikel O., was super attentive in our multiple requests for drinks and appetizers and then had a table ready for us and pizza on the way after we were done bowling. We then enjoyed a wide array of arcade games for all ages! A 10/10 experience the whole family could enjoy! Thank you so much, especially Mikel!
Eight members of our family went for bowling. $25, which included shoes, per bowler for two hours and two lanes. I felt this was overpriced. One of our lanes was sticky. I asked if the area could be wiped down. I was emphatically told ?No?. I've been to other bowling alleys. If you have a problem with the lane, they fix it. The shoes we crappy. The sizes were a half-size too big. I've never been to a bowling alley where the pins are tethered on chains. Ridiculous concept to whomever came up with that idea!!
We did the Family Fun pack. We all did the 4D ride. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it. We also got laser tag with our package and the kids really enjoyed that. It also comes with $10 worth of credits for each (4) person for the arcades. Of course the kids thought that was great as well. Staff was super friendly. We enjoyed ourselves and are already thinking of going back.
The three stars is purely related to the food quality. Ask for gravy and biscuits that was on the menu and I was informed that corporate had taken it off. Then I asked for the egg breakfast. Four big pieces of toast that were extremely dry didn't have any jelly for them. It came out with one small thing of butter. I had to ask for 4 more. The eggs were already pre peppered. in my case is bad because I have issues with black pepper. No salt or pepper was offered. The bacon was done reasonably well.
Pretty disappointed. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of going back to try and win a full set of spongebob cards for 9000 tickets. When we arrived the second time, the set was only worth 5000 tickets. After playing the game for awhile, a machine broke with countless credits already in it and countless waiting to be used. The machine was later fixed, then broke again. We only got some of our money back since we already "played" some credits. These plays were in effort to knock some cards down, so they w
Lots of fun games for the kids, nice bar area for the parents. There are several bowling lanes, but they use the detestable pins on wires, so no real bowling here but good enough for some fun. Unfortunately these are the only bowling lanes in the area now so reservations are basically a requirement. The food has gotten significantly better since they opened and is now pretty great.
Had a great time bowling! Great pancakes and Bacon ?? too. Yum! There are a lot of other games to play there. It wasn't too crowded. It seemed everybody was having a great time. We will be back to explore some of the other activities.
We were there for an adult's birthday party with about 15-17 people. The party part was so much fun!! We really enjoyed bowling. The food was really good and our waitress did her very best. However, a party of this size all had their food before we had anything to drink (and we just ordered sodas). It was unbelievable to the point that the manager brought us some pitchers of water and cups, but not enough for everyone. It leaves me wondering where exactly the sodas come from because it was very apparen
The kids had a fantastic time the games were really nice. The staff was really nice. The food took way longer to come out than it should have but it tasted pretty good. We would return
It's a fun time but definitely not like an old school bowling alley. This is always my second choice for bowling with my family.
We had a great time. The price was great. The 4D ride was so great. If you go, pick the clown ride! Your welcome.
Has a lot to do and is a lot of fun but overall feels more like a cheap novelty. The bowling machines get stuck and limited and way overpriced arcade games. With $60 we played for maybe 45 minutes. Food was okay. Not great and not bad, just average. But very expensive. It's one of the only arcades in the area so I'm sure we will be back, but only when we're ready to spend well over $100.
This place is pretty fun, but the bowling sucks when you have to request and wait on assistance to fix your pins constantly. Would be awesome if they converted to traditional legit bowling pins, no pins with strings attached. Otherwise, it's still a great place to check out for your kids or a date.
I would have given 5 stars but we had a bad experience with a manager named Dianne. Fourth Dimension is so much fun for all ages and usually the staff and service is exceptional! We have had 2 birthday parties here for our kids. The first time we reserved a table, ordered food, drinks, and played games, and had cake with no issues. We were never told about a dessert fee. This second time around we reserved a table for a birthday party and nothing was mentioned about a dessert fee. Our server was very nice b
Can't say enough good things. The pricing is reasonable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the whole place is clean, fresh, and new. There is something for everyone here, from the games, laser tag, bowling, to the full bar and restaurant.
Great food and activities. Really enjoyed the Off the Radar escape room. The male staff that I encountered were all pretty dry but the female staff were friendly and made up for it. The waitress with the colorful hair made me feel so welcomed and took excellent care of us. I'll definitely be back.
Love the bowling lanes - fully automated! Just a little pricey though. The grandkids love all the various arcade games. Great place to take the children on a rainy day.
The place itself is nice-clean, fun and the staff were friendly. The games were in pretty good shape, with only 2/3 being out of order. We went for the Arcade Spring Break Special 1 hour time play $18 + 500 tickets. I would say it's my fault for not reading the fine print on the special-that the card was maxed at 500 tickets pre-purchased, except there was no fine-print. We only found out once the hour was up that the cards were blocked from earning more tickets. I checked the website, the information wa
Nice place. Loved the bowling, though it needs better computer animations to make it more fun. They have arcades, pool, Foosball, etc. The beer and drinks were great. The food was not great. The onion rings were chewy, not crispy. The wings had little flavor. My companions enjoyed the pizza, though. Kids could have a lot of fun here, and there are some soft couches for parents to wait while their kids deplete their wallets.
My group attended an event here. The facility is a nice addition to the community. Several things to do for fun. Our server was amazing! She was taking care of several parties, but was fast, friendly, and or orders were correct every time. The pizza was good! Unfortunately there were issues our bowling lanes. An employee did come out to troubleshoot and tried to fix the system several times, but wasn't successful. The did give us some free play passes as compensation. I will say, don't use expensive persona
Went for a work team building event. Service was pretty good although the bartenders were super slow. It was easier to have the waitstaff bring drinks. Food was good. The lanes had a few issus where it would automatically call a gutter right after resetting the pins. But staff fixed that. We all had a good time regardless, as we really didn't care about real scores.
Too over price. And then on top of that, if you decided to drink they would automatically add gratuity!!! Really?! Wouldn't you want to tip in a way they served you. Forget it, that's why haven't been back since then. Is not worth the fun and you money to waist at this place.
Bowling was fun. Friendly staff but service was a little slow which was surprising because their was only a few people there during the early afternoon.
As a frequent visitor to Fourth Dimension Fun Center, I can confidently say that this establishment offers an unparalleled entertainment experience that caters to a diverse range of interests and age groups. The venue's comprehensive offerings include bowling, laser tag, escape rooms, an extensive arcade, a delightful restaurant, and a vibrant sports bar. This all-encompassing approach ensures that everyone in the family or group of friends can find something to enjoy. The bowling experience is top-notch,
Kids Bowl Free advertises as Mo-Thu open to close kids bowl free with their summer pass at this location. On the 4th dimension fun center website it advertises the same policy. However, once we got there, my family was informed that they no longer honor that policy and that the policy has changed. We checked the website and the pass. No changes to the policy mentioned above on their website. It's dishonest to advertise one thing and then deliver less. Very disappointing! If the policy changes it is extremel
Bowling pins are attached by strings which can lead to weird pin reset and pin counting errors. Service was slow and took 20 min to get 2 beers. Arcade is a lot of fun with great pinball and laser room.
We went for the free bowling when we signed up online. I didn't care for the bowling pins being on strings. The food wasn't very good, we got chips and salsa and the salsa was nasty. The onion rings were also not good. We went for the arcade special listed on their website to be told it was for uniformed industry workers only. And they didn't compensate us at all. I wanted to like the place but unfortunately with our experiences we did Not.
Our family went here for the first time a couple months ago. My son loved the arcade games. We then had his birthday party here in February for a very reasonable price. It was easy to reserve tables, get the kids game cards beforehand and order pizza at there restaurant during the party. The x ride was hit for the 6 year olds at the party! They are very flexible and accommodating. The food is delicious and always filling. Cora, Megan D., Allison, and another lady at the counter, I can't remember her name we
We went during spring break, one of the busiest times and still had amazing service. We waited about 15 minutes to bowl but it went by quickly because we played in the arcade. We ate while we bowled and the food was hot. My kids favorite was the mac and cheese bites and the mozzarella sticks. I thought the wings and onion rings were awesome. Good variety of arcade games as well as classic games. I loved the curtains that allow for privacy while bowling. My kids are already asking when we are going back
Great fun time for my grandsons birthday party, bowling, lazer tag and a huge arcade
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
