Great Updates & Fun for the Whole Family! Fort SK8 Family Fun Center has done an amazing job with their remodel! The arcade looks much nicer, and the entrance is more open and inviting. The skating rink itself is well-maintained, with great music and lighting to keep the energy up. The food options are solid for a skating rink, and the jump houses in the back are a great bonus for kids. Overall, it's a fantastic place for family fun! Highly recommend checking it out.

Brought my grand & her friend here on a Saturday afternoon. Staff friendly and family environment. There is also a play area for the littles, & a party room in the back.

Wow such a fun spot ! I was surprised at how cute it was. The only thing that I think is weird is how the sinks to the bathrooms are on the outside of the bathroom it's self but hey at least you can call people out when they don't wash their hands and tbh I've seen weirder. My kids had a blast we really enjoy the play to you win duck game ! The playground was super awesome also.

I loved coming here. The common areas were clean and kept in good condition. It's as if the employees care to make sure this business is run top-notch. The music from the DJ was high energy and very family oriented. The staff were so friendly and accommodating? it almost felt like family. ???? I would recommend large families like mine to come here and enjoy what Fort Sk8 has to offer. The price point was great. We will definitely come back.

This family owned business treats our kids great and skating here feels like a community. We see our neighbors and friends and recognize people! The price is reasonable and my kids get so much exercise and enjoyment. I even skated and my watch said I burned 400 calories!! ??

We had an amazing time! Came for a birthday party but will definitely be back. They have skate assist bars. They have employees out there to give you pointers on how to skate. The atmosphere is fun and a great family vibe. Food was good, arcade was fun a d my kids liked the climbing area! 3 hours went by quick!

This is a skating ring and arcade activity/ entertainment center. There's also an ice cream parlor and concession stand selling hot food items. You can get a skate only pass or a combo pass that includes a pass to play in the arcade game too. For 2 adults and 2 kids to skate and 2 $20 dollar game passes it was $65. It was also another $10 to rent two skate plastic things to help assist the kids skate. That's not included in the skate rentals FYI. The place is clean and spacious. There's also a playground wh

My daughter just had the best 12th birthday party. Everyone was so professional and made everything so easy from the DJ to the party planner to the manager everyone was just absolutely wonderful we did not lift a finger and it ran so smooth. We have had birthday parties in Destin Crestview Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola and this is by far the easiest and best one we have had.

This was the perfect place for me to take my kids and get them out of the sun. The skating was cheap, the food was cheap and we could do it all day. I had a blast, my kids had a blast and it was so worth it.

The place was super fun!!! My son loved it. It is super clean I didn't even see a dirty spot. My son loved that you could do song requests. The arcade was fun too.

We just had my son?s 5th birthday party here and I am always so impressed with this facility! The center is kept clean and tidy, there's great options for kids even if they want to take a break from skating, and the employees are so kind and professional! The skating rink provides all decorations, paper ware, pizza, and drinks. All I had to bring were favors and the cake. I forgot to bring a cake cutter, but they had them available! Leah was our party contact and checked in regularly to make sure we had eve

Really fun place to skate for all ages! They have lots of game machines as well if you don't feel like skating you can play games all night! Handicap parking handicapped entrance. Really good staff that takes care of the skaters and their issues. Very cool games while skating as well.

We had so much fun here! Definitely bought my childhood memories. I skated, but I fell once and got up. I kept going. It's a family-friendly atmosphere! You can either pick skate and play or either one. If you do pick the skate and it's your first time, you'd have to purchase a helper device for 5 dollars. It helps you skate and prevent falls.

Visiting friends in the area and this place was a must for me. We did the play for two deal that includes skating, the soft playground and an arcade card for two for $36 (and some change). The play space was smaller than I expected but it was still large enough to entertain my 11 year old. I didn't even go in the playground but wish I had now. The arcade games are all fun but the ticket wheel claw games were the real deal. We all left with junk in our hands and smiles on our faces. The music was a bit loud

What a fun update on an old childhood haunt! The changes were great, and the prices were decent if you don't allow your kids to fleece you in the arcade. ??

It's ok. You pay for every little thing separately. You need a walker to help you skate, "gimme money", (which doesn't encourage returning or having people learn to go skate more). The "playground " which is small and short ( how many times can they go thru before getting bored?). Ice cream selection is limited to non regular flavors just weird names like blue panda something. Used to be better years ago.

So thankful to have this wonderful business in our town. The employees are always so friendly, and my son always has a blast. Every time we visit I think it's amusing that you can go around in a circle for 2+ hours and not get bored, but every time we visit no one wants to leave.

I took my 8 year old daughter here and she LOVED it. What a great experience. The staff were super friendly and the place is really kid friendly. The games were so affordable to play and easy to win prizes. This place is definitely geared towards the kids having fun. We will definitely be coming here for years to come.

I grew up on this town and loved going here as a kid. For some reason they now have VERY unreasonable rules. I brought my girls (12 yrs) for a school skate night and because I could stay with them, THEY COULDN'T STAY. (I have other children who cant attend) What happened to signing wavers or letting them stay with another adult??? For Christ's sake, there were even TEACHERS there to supervise. I'm suggesting Liza Jackson go somewhere else. My girls are DEVASTATED!

We went here after an outside birthday party had to be moved due to rain. It is a really cool and fun atmosphere. The arcade was fun and the food was ok. The music was on point also.

Went with the wife and kids and had a blast. Took me awhile to relearn how to skatebl but it was fun once we had it. A little steep on price but they have a lot to offer in terms of things for the little ones and adults! "We will be back!" 10/27/18 Had my daughter's 10th Bday celebration at the skating rink. The party felt a little rushed since it was a Saturday but everyone was friendly and helpful and most importantly of all my daughter had a blast! Thank you!

Was pleasantly surprised how organized it was inside. Friendly people, great music, games didn't cost so much-kids were able to actually Win ! They even have an indoor playground ??. We had so much fun and will be back !!!

It's a great place to take the kids for skating and other fun games, and parties. Customer service is great!

Well lit, great floors, awesome sound system, only change it would make is better seating to watch skaters.

Courtney is a beast! So helpful, so professional - my phone died in the middle of the call and she made a point to call me back ? follow up! The facility is clean, too - perfect little spot for kids and adults, too!

Grew up in this town- seeing they have new owners. You should train your employees better. Came to bring my son and his 3 friends for his 16th birthday. His 3 friends were dropped off to us as they are leaving with us. Because they physically didn't see them drive with us, she stated with a smirk ya can't do that. Went to speak to ?manager? who hardly looked old enough to run a skating rink. He had a straight attitude- and stated if I chose to walk out and walk back in with them I would forfeit the money w

I took my two kids last night (4&6). We paid $10 for 2 skate helpers, which is fine, but we got there at 7 pm and purchased them about 730pm. They didn't tell us they collected all the skate helpers at 8 pm. I feel like that should be disclosed before purchase. I didn't see anything on the website or a sign anywhere. If you want it adult only after 8 make it clear. Very disappointed in our experience last night.

Good for variety for young ones. If you are a serious skater that throws down, this is not the rink for you. Floor is small and not a lot of seating.

This skating rink is so fun! It gave me nostalgic vibes being there with the arcade and nice skating rink.

Went to buy nachos .No one at counter for 10 minutes. Nice young ladies say we don't have chips. NO CHIPS. On a Saturday, WTHell. I guess that's how they sell 15.00 cheese pizzas. 65 degrees outside 45 degrees inside. Nice and clean but freezing inside bring a parka and hand warmers

Fort SK8 was a very fun place to go for a birthday party! The staff were very friendly and it overall one of the best places I've booked for a party. 10/10 would definitely recommend for all ages

Well came here most recently for a birthday party and the updates/renovations to the entire place were really great! I'm not sure how the typical prices compare to other skating rinks but they seemed reasonable and the snack bar prices were fair as well. The kids have an absolute blast here so it's worth it either way. I can imagine a few bad apples forced their hand on some of the drop off/supervision rules.. but it would be nice to have more comfortable seating for the chaperones required to stay and sup

My 11 ur old had a blast skating and my 3 yr old had fun on the bounce equipment. The staff was very nice and the young lady working the play equipment area 1was very patient and friendly even when some of the other guests weren't being very well behaved. She kept her composure through all of it. I was impressed!

I actually put on Skates and didn't fall once! Woo-hoo! The building was clean and lively. As a 90's teen they did play a good mix of music for the older crowd and the new aged teens. We all had a blast and stay til closing. FyiThe snacks suck so eat before you go

We went for a birthday party. It was fun. Unlimited skating. The only problem I had was they try to rush you with your party and if you rent skates for adults when you are there for the party, they make you pay an admission fee.

The absolute best!! Their employees are awesome & the floor is sweet! Always a great trip to Fort SK8!

Great amenities excellent staff good vibes. Those dj?s have some serious skills.

The atmosphere was great me and my family really did have a great time

We love it here on Saturdays during the afternoon skate. The staff here are beyond amazing and super helpful. I have my own skates that broke while we were there and the DJ took them apart for me, figured out what was wrong, and told me how to fix them. The staff in general, literally all of them, are like that. They will give you 3 different pairs of skates if your kid just can't decide which size fits better and they'll do that without rolling their eyes or making you feel like a giant pain in the butt.

This place has the most rude staff ever they all was mad at the some of the customers that came in they were on they phone more then anything they really don't deserve my 1 star the food was cold

Thank you for offering me the opportunity to visit and to recall memories from 50 years ago when I was a student at Choctawhatchee High, next door to you. The music has changed. And, it is a great joy to see your generation carry on the legacy and dreams of your patriarchy. God Bless you all. Thanks for the fond memories.

We absolutely love this place. Great vibe. Great for both kids and adults to have active, indoor fun. The arcade is a blast. So glad we frequent this place.

Great place people always doing good events good my son loves it very helpful with 1st learner skates nice bouncy house for younger kids play while older skate clean and nice people run it we can say we well go often

Love this place! We've been coming here for years! They have since updated the floors, added arcade games, added a toddler play area, added ice cream, and added seats. We are super happy with the upgrades & love coming here.

Had such a nice time here for my daughter?s birthday! Clean and not too crowded even on the weekend!

I hate to leave such low reviews, however, I was not impressed at all. Paid for a birthday party, $400+ for just a couple fold out tables with no privacy from the other parties there. They gave each kid one card to play in the "arcade" area, cool, except it only allowed 2-3 games per kid, so that lasted a whole 4 min. Money is not the issue, I have spent much more for birthday parties, but at over $400 you would think they would do a little more than a few, mediocre at best, pizzas, and a few arcade games.

Why does the pricing online say 1599 for 10 and older but when I got there, it was 1799 and why did y?all get rid of the rollerblades???????????

The rental skates are really good and don't have a wore down bias that other skate rinks might have. Very clean, doesn't smell like feet or cheese and very kind and welcoming staff. If nothing else they at least have a good DJ.

We went to do something fun on my sons last day here before having to return to wisconsin. They had a blast, playing good music, and the skates were in great shape. Plus they have a little arcade and food.

They remodel the place and looks way better. They have little play ground for kids 8 and under and my daughter loves it. Staff it's really friendly and helpful ??

My daughter wanted to have her 16th birthday party here. It was great. The party host Annabelle was a great party host. Attentive to our needs and engaging. My daughter had a blast.

Love this place! It is very clean and reasonably priced. Great for birthday parties. My 6 year old loves coming here.

Love this place! Very family friendly and great place for kids to learn and for roller derby people like myself. We come all the time and highly recommend. Very very very high standards of behavior and family friendly.

Been here in 1980s now 2023 with my kid and niece. AWSOME!

Way too expensive and the music is wack for the price. Too many rules that doesn't make sense. You can only skate in certain areas? and the bathroom is in the no skate zone so if you about to pee your pants you have take your skates off to go. Do they know how long it is to untie?Lol Then they said you have to have a toe stop on your skates in order to skate, and I told them I do a T stop that's why I don't need one. But rules are rules. Never going here again. Great floor but the atmosphere is too up tigh

Its a nice size ring with a nice even skate floor the prices were kinda high for a tuesday nite skate. Making a parent stay the entire time for my 16 year old daughter and her friend is kinda overboard but besides that n the horrible uncomfortable seating for the adults that are forced to sit there while there teenagers skate its okay. We wont be going back anytime soon.

Good music, could use an update. We had fun. They UPDATED IT!!! The DJ is awesome ????????.

It's very fun they have food and tables if parents or others want to relax and your able to have bday parties and have them play your song requests but other than it's amazing i think their policy is absolute trash they say you need a 17yr old to accompany children without adults but it can't work because they have to drive themselves their?? that's stupid if you ask them to leave they'll walk. stupid stuff like this makes me hate fort walton even more.

Very clean, nice rink and video games too. Lots of upgrades to the concessions too

Great place to skate and have a birthday party!

Thanks for making my granddaughter?s birthday special. This place is beautiful and the staff was amazing.

The staff were really nice and I really like that they have lessons for free. They served me really well and I plan to go back there as a regular customer. Thanks so much for the fun!! Also the waiver was really easy to sign and no hassle. The location is convenient for me to since I live near by. So I hope to see more smiling faces when I come back next time

Great place to go skating. Love the new layout! Friendly staff and still the same family who owns it. Good to hear that Ms Marie is still with us!

Great place, awesome pizza, great prices. Been skating here since forever, love it! The dj with the curly hair was great too, she played all my song requests!

This place is very clean. They allow personal skates but not if they have been used outdoors. They have a DJ. Good for parties since they have a back room.

Very clean and organized. Friday nights are a great time. Music was very good and got you moving. The rink is a bit small but has amazing games and a play area

Very happy with the variety of fun this place offers ? my five kiddos always enjoy coming here. The jungle gym was such a nice touch to this place since my toddler gets tired with skating quickly and the arcade games can add up fast.

If I could rate this with 0 stars I would. First when I was skating and an employee was skating very fast and ran into me and I fell over onto the ground. This has happened to me and my friends both times when we went. Also I went to buy a pizza and it cost money. Too expensive for me personally. I requested a song twice and both times it didn't play :/....maybe hire a DJ who can remember requests. Do not go to this rink, too expensive, and my brother, who is just leaning to skate, wanted to have one of the

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is ridiculous. You cannot go in unless you have an adult over 18 with you. Oh and if your late to a party or group of friends you have to make sure you bring and adult so that they can get in and you have to stay. The over 18 person that is with the rest of the group can't add them to it. So stupid. Makes no sense. This literally takes everything always from these poor kids and gives no break to parents.

Family friendly and decent skate scene on Friday nights.

They got new skates, yah!!!! The last skates were cheapo plastic ones. These are much better! Also, the owners are so so nice! It's a nice clean skating rink. Much cleaner music than the Pensacola rink. This is a family friendly place. Their daughter is a sweet pea! ??

Clean and fun to watch all the little ones. My only complaint was the area to rent the skates should be in the front. Otherwise it was a great place to take the children.

A skating rink has been at this location for many years. My children came here, my grandchild and now my great grandchildren are learning to skate here! Stands are available for those who need support learning to skate. The music is great and the disco like lights make it exciting. There's also a bounce house room. There are several packages for birthday celebrations and two birthday party rooms. There is a small cafe for snacks. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The price is ver

Daughter just had her bday party here, was a lovely time!! Ms. Avery was super sweet & They just recently redid the skating rink floor too.. ??

Great facility not the best customer service. Waiting on a party of 12 and was told I could not put my skates on at the tables cause of a new floor. Okay my bad was directed to the benches cool. Put my skates on and wait for the party that is literally purchasing wristbands. Another associate then states I can't skate without a wrist band. I was like I know I'm not skating then she's like well u have skates on. And wanted me to take them off. Nope told her I'd wait out side but just dumb rules for someone o

GREAT GREAT FLOOR!!! This place is AWESOME!!! Skating, arcade, food, party room, and mini play area for the littles!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Never had a rink more unfriendly to career rollerskating been skating for 15 years of my life all over southern california and ever few months I come to this rink something changes that us more restrictive. I will not be coming back and will not be recommending this rink to friends sorry I've been coming to this rink for 3 years and literally all the time they have been adding rules and rules and rules. Tired of it not a place I can relax and have fun now if you are a once in a blue moon skater that's just

I went here almost every weekend while in middle school. I took my little sister recently and I was a little intimidated because I remember how kids were acting when I used to go 10 years ago. However there is now a sign that says anyone under 16 needs supervision which made it a completely different atmosphere. We had such a great time. It was her first time skating and she cannot wait to go back. The company was very friendly about her switching between skates and blades trying to find her style. Only co

My kids had so much fun the only thing it is a little pricey but it's like everything else right now

Not your typical skating rink! Took my kids last weekend and they had sooo much fun! So worth the price!! By far the most affordable Family Fun in town! The new remodel looks great and the staff is so great with the kids! Definitely will be making it a regular outing for our family!

My kids and I have been going here for almost 2 years now and each and every time we go it is amazing! Its so much fun and the music is amazing, they even play some oldies that I grew up listening to going to the rink on the weekends with my friends. I am so happy that Fort Skate is here because I can share this with my kids. The staff is always amazing to us, alot of them know us when we come in. The owners are so sweet to us each and every time we visit. Sunday family day is our favorite day! The renovati

Just had my son?s birthday party here. The woman that monitors the party (and is also a teacher!) is an amazing asset to your team, Fort Sk8! She was my right-hand lady throughout the chaos that is 3 hours with a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds. Couldn't have done it without her! The kiddos had a blast & my husband was pleasantly surprised with their supreme pizza haha just a great, local place for kids & teens. Thanks for making my sons birthday party a success!

We had our daughter b-day party there and I was very impressed with the service they provided. If i had ANY questions or concerns they were immediately answered or taken care of. I would definitely recommend them to host a b-day party. I went to one of my daughter friend b-day party at another place (will not mention name) and their service was non-existent. They just provided a room and maybe 5 minutes of help at the beginning and then nothing. Compared to Fort SK8 they were a "1". That just reassured to

Great deal for 4 tickets, pizza and drinks during the week. Had a great time while it wasn't so busy.

We loved this place. Skate rentals were good quality and the littlest loved the playground. Admission was very reasonably priced and we loved that skate rental was included in admission price too.

My family loves to skate here. We are so excited that you have ice cream now! Don't miss this gem!

These people who work here are so rude!! They are way over priced and very uptight. They made us throw away out food and drinks. also, I had to help my boyfriend cage h?_

The stars we gave Ft. Sk8 go to the DJ and to young man who issues skates for customers (Bauer). Both are super nice and make a skating rink what it should be. Outside of that, Ft, Sk8 turned out to be a disappointment, even after given the opportunity to redeem themselves. The counter sales girl made a mistake on a transaction which wasn't a huge deal, we all make mistakes. However, in seeking to have it corrected she made no attempt to correct it nor did the first crew leader we sought resolution with

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
