Small clean arcade with older games. They have multiple Skee-Ball machines. Fun for an hour or two. We stop here every time we're in VAB.

Very nice little arcade at the beach. Probably gets busy in the summer. Spring break was perfect. The cards start at $20 and lasted like 10 games. Would of liked to have known the prices prior to going. And save your tickets bc it takes a ton of tickets to get a sucker!

It's a clean, nice arcade with a mix of older and newer games and pinball. Main downside is that it uses a "points on card" model rather than coins and cash. Otherwise, its a nice place to spend some time on skee-ball or shooter games.

Love the positive vibes from staff. Daughter won her hat back?? thank you for that memory, ??

Great arcade located on the strip. Was within walking distance of our hotel which was a huge plus. Tons of games!!! They even offer laser tag. I purchased my girls each a $50 game card, and they were able to play for about 90 minutes and win a few cool small prices. They had a blast!

Came here for a birthday party. Have always been a big fan of Flipper McCoys since way back. Fun for all ages. Prices are a little high. Had a blast though. Love the target game in the very back. Wasn't crowded. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Been around forever, always a good time. Still have a good selection of 80's and pinball games. Everything else is mostly ticket games though. Just like everywhere else, can get like a pencil for 500 tickets. Claw games are set up that they couldn't hold a flea, but it is what it is. Dropped about $100 for the kids to play laser tag and the whole family to play games. Staff was pretty helpful, until there was an issue about how to turn in cards/coins for tickets. Told us how to do it, we do it as he

Laser tag has a best of the best description but not at all what you would expect. We still enjoyed the game but not a top tier laser tag experience that we were expecting with the description online. All of the arcade games in the facility worked and were clean takes alot of play to rack up tickets for prizes. Not a large arcade lots of open space so even when crowded not bumping into others, a variety of things for all ages to do, but lacked the excitement of a true beach arcade ...

We absolutely love this place. It's something to do for everyone in my family. They have games for me and my husband (Generation X) to our sons (Gen Z) to our Granddaughter (Generation Alpha). Thank you Fipper McCoys for the fun and prizes.

This Arcade was tons of fun, I cant name all of the different games you can play. That includes arcade, festival type games, and so many more. There is an old fashioned saloon shooting that is extremely fun.The place is lit up with lights flashing at all times everywhere.

I have loved this place for years. This has been a local staple for my friends and I since we were in middle school. I always enjoy the game they have to offer and their staff is friendly. I was realy excited to see they remodeled, updated some of their games (but also kept their retro ones), and even secured the upstairs for laser tag. With this being right at the Oceanfront, I highly recommend this arcade for absolutely anyone to enjoy especially families!

Awesome arcade with a great mix of games. All the games are well maintained and we had a great time here!

Nice arcade. Games are pricey, ticket prizes are wack. You have to get 3000+ to get a cool stuffed animal unless you want some candy you can just buy at a gas station. Spent $50+ and got a really little stuffed animal. Found a way better arcade called BEACH arcade. Spent the same amount of money and got CASHED out in prizes. My daughter picked out 3 huge prizes. If you have kids definitely check the BEACH arcade out towards the south end of the boardwalk! Check out the rhythm bar and grill too, while you're

Looks real nice but a lot of games are $3 a play $7 for the VR games kinda expensive. 2 hours in there you could buy a PS5

I've been going to this staple of the ?strip? (oceanfront) arcade since I was very young, a lot as a teen, and now bring my own kids. It's always a great time for us all. Recently visited with my brother who was visiting home from California. We had a blast. And we spent about $30-$35 and played stuff about an hour and a half. Plus took a neat photo booth pic $7 (for 3 pics with different poses). Our two favorites were the rubber axe ?? toss game, I beat him ??and the Jurassic World VR game?? (little pricey

Fun little arcade, using the card system with a dollar amount makes things very expensive fast but they have a nice little variety of games to kill a little time.

Fun place for the kids. Wish you could use tickets to exchange for some of the stuffed animals in the claw games.

We held my daughter's 7th birthday party here, and overall I'd say ehhhhh it was pretty alright! The blacklit party room is very small and not super private ? tucked into the side wall of the loud arcade space, next to the restrooms & laser tag stairs ? but you can see how a group of kiddos hopped up on Capri Sun and cake would find it totally exhilirating. The website currently doesn't work for booking parties (staff were open about this), they don't take deposits over the phone, and there wasn't a lot of

Brilliant little arcade/ Lazer quest place. They have really great deals on kids birthday parties that they will love, who wouldn't love unlimited 1 HR gaming and a round a Lazer quest. Most of the old games are pretty cheap with the more modern ones a bit pricey but they have to run a business. All in all this place is a great balance of old and new with low ticket cost for little prizes. A really fun day, let your hair down and reinvigorate your inner child or connect with your kids over some old and new

Loved the old school games. Great place to take the family and enjoy yourself, too.

Classic ticket prizes but huge ticket amounts for the cheap basic prize. This is ticket inflation.

What a great time! This place looks old school, which is a great elemen for nostalgia. Lots of games to play for everyone in the family. Laser Tag was so much fun! I think our game was 10 or 15 minutes but it felt like forever. Haha! It was a great time. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. Would definitely return here.

We had a great time. I loved the old cheap games in the back.

Awsome Place to go if it rains or just want a break from the beach. The games are not bad priced

This is a great arcade on the Virginia Beach oceanfront that offers a break from the heat in the summer or cold in the winter. There is a good mix of games that can be enjoyed by various ages. Like all arcades, the prices can be high. The associate at the counter is always friend and helpful. It's a good stop at the Oceanfront.

Great old school cabinet games like centipede, super mario bros, donkey kong, galaga, etc.

Love this place! They have it all! If your on vacation definitely come here! The atmosphere is awesome black lights and it stays good and cool in there and they have very unique games! Family favorite!

Nice arcade within walking distance from the boardwalk

Terrible experience and you need $1,000 for 2hours of games. Claw machines are definitely rigged... don't waste your time and money

Stupid claw machine game is r word as heck. Blew my life savings of 20$ on the thing and get the stuffed animals mid air but the claw purposely drops them. R worded game. Place also smells like a dog pooped on a nuclear power plant.

Flipper McCoys is pretty fun, had a lot of really neat games to play. Some old school games too, had a lot of fun!

Fun times for sure! Great selection of games for all. Seems to be pretty clean and everything was in working order.

Can't rate any higher. Walked in a quarter past 9PM and paid $20 for a card from the kiosk. Posted hours on the door say they close at 10PM. Before I can even walk up to machine employee says they close at 9. Uhhh what? Maybe shut off the kiosks, or put a sign up, or lock the door, or monitor the door, or literally any thing to let others know. Hopefully I have time to return tomorrow or I just wasted $20 for literally nothing.

Great experience for everyone. Reasonable prices. Our kids loved it we stayed for about two and half hours. Great for off season or when the weather isn't great to be in the water.

Loved this place! Some old games and some new. Nice pinball machines and enjoyed the ax throwing game!

Absolutely enjoyed this place. It rained on our vacation so I brought my parents and my teenage son. They have games for all ages, clean and affordable.

Best arcade around here! Always has fun games, good prizes, and friendly staff. Also has many older games, including lots of pinball! Is fun for everybody!

Overall good game selection, not too crowded particularly during a holiday weekend. Nice to see all the games were in working order which at arcade places is somewhat rare.

Great little arcade. 4 pinball machines and lots of old school games like Galaga, PacMan, Ms. Paxman, TMNT...

The vr games, lighting was great, everything worked and a great time was had, plus the old school arcade games were killer.

Love this place. It's where my daughter met her husband over a decade ago! Noisy. Lots of games. Even good old Ms Pacman

The remodel is nice? but the games are 1.25+ now

You don't see an arcade very much anymore! Great place to stop in and play an actual game instead of one on your phone. It's very well up kept and there are plenty of prizes.

This trip is the second time we've been to this arcade, and I'm just as pleased this time as the other. This is probably one of the only arcades I've ever been to that's fair. I don't feel like the games are as rigged, and there's great variety in games to play. I enjoyed Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune, and the coin shooter game. And I felt like I was awarded appropriately for the money I spent here. They even have pool tables! Totally recommend spending time and money here. I wouldn't waste money anywh

We have always enjoyed this arcade. Great family fun, reasonable $ and have never had a bad experience with workers or the crowd ! Pleasant environment

Typical arcade with tons of games. Kids had a blast. Most games are $1.50-$2.00 to play. So can get expensive. VR coaster was $7 per. Purchase and use game card only.

very fun old school Arcade. Go relive your 70's and 80's. good for all ages really. parking is severely limited like all of the area.

Not happy I had to pay $20.00 for parking to take my grandson's to a birthday party here!!

This is a great place to play games and super affordable to be able to do a lot!! We're a family of 5 and we all played at least 5 games each if not more. Not included the games we were able to play together!! Not one game was out of service! Super clean and the workers were so sweet, chill and informative!! They have laser tag and it's amazing!! The vibe and set up they have is top notch and affordable to play - we all 5 played together!

The games are great? highly recommend for evenings out, but if you're pushing closing time, be sure to cash in you tickets early because the staff doesn't care for late cash outs. We tried to cash out our cards 15 minutes before closing time and homeboy behind the counter had other plans. We just wanted to cash in our $80 worth of tickets for 5 airheads and he wasn't having it. I compare his customer service to that of the local DMV? poor at best. To bad too because the place itself is pretty good.

Caught them about 20 minutes before closing but we enjoyed every minute we had. Great selection of games.

My kids love it this is our getaway when we need something to do on the weekends. Friendly staff and cheap games

Me and my son had a blast

I really enjoy it down there a good variety of new and classic games. I am mainly into pinball but the newest arcade games especially the bowling makes it up. And all the employees are very nice people also. They enjoy talking with me because I go back to the 70?s. I mainly like going there on a Sunday but either way gaming has no age limit. Forgot too mention the huge Space Invaders is a blast not very good but very fun.

Great range of games. Still a small arcade but there is everything you could ask for. Way more games than the Apex place in the VA Beach town center. Prices for each game are pretty reasonable too.

Awesome layout, lots of games to choose from. The VR games are ridiculously over priced but they've got an amazing selection of vintage arcades for $0.50 each. Highly recommend for kids of all ages (including grown-ups!).

Fun place with a good selection of games. Every game was in service which was great and unusual for an arcade with this many games. Even at 10:00 on a Friday, Kids were here and everyone was behaving. You could feel comfortable bringing your younger kids here. Only complaint was the cost of some of the games.

Pretty fun place. They have alot of games to choose from. Some games are like carnival type games. The games are a little overpriced but when you go to oceanfront you should know what you are getting into. I spent 22$ on 3 ice cream cones next door. We had a good time for 40$ for 1 hour or so. Will definitely come back and visit again. They also have pool tables. Wish they had some parking available. We did enjoy the selection of games.

Fun spot to bring the kiddos. We found ourselves here on a rainy day and the kids wanted to go back after we left the beach the next day. Magnetic token cards make everything a whole lot easier to deal with. Great fun for the whole family!! I would have to say the SkeeBall and the Photo booth made the day the most enjoyable for me and added many memories.

I come once a year they are constantly upgrading and the games are awesome. My kids have a great time Everytime we go so they choose to spend their birthday there every year. The adults have fun too so we couldn't ask for a better experience. We love flippers!!

Had a great time and games are fun. We were invited to a party and the kids played and used the game cards. Went to cash them in and we only had the points from the last games we played and the tickets that were won on them. So out of 6 kids we only had 235 points. Kids were very sad and were only able to get candy...

Brought my son here because it was raining. I told my wife I didn't need a game card. After 20 min I caved and got one. Mannnn I spent so much time on deal or no deal like I was in Vegas and then bounced around like I was 7 years old. A+ Pros - something for everybody. Cons- my 7 year old got 2800 tickets. I got 300. Dads. My advice is share the same game card so the wife can't see how bad the kids beat you! ??

Older arcade machines; there are pool tables if you're so inclined; the staffing is what you'd expect from such a place; overall a good, safe location for younger children with cameras everywhere. It's G great place to stop and cool off the place has air conditioning if the kids are running you ragged. I'd love to see the addition of a concessions area. The AC is my reason for the thind and fourth stars.

Really fun place, great games at an affordable price. We had an absolute blast!

Very good experience. Very clean and nice looking. It's always great to see the employees cleaning and putting their best foot forward. Great place to escape the rain or kill some time for any ages. Good selection of games and can be played by most ages.

Absolutely love this place. This was my second time here and I had a blast. Went with my son for the afternoon and it wasn't crowded so we were able to play what ever we wanted along with we checked out the virtual reality machine and it was awesome. The snowball theme was the best out of the 3 to choose from I think. I definitely recommend and we will definitely be back here again soon.

Clean, games worked, attendants were friendly. My only comment would be to more clearly post that there are NO tickets and that all tickets will record to your card. The only time it feels a bit underhanded is when someone wins a roll of tickets you never are really told how many tickets you are actually winning in the roll you just selected/ picked up. That and the fact that it takes like a gazillion tickets to win anything of value. I know it's a vacation spot, but like, come on! Lo a

This was an overall fun arcade! The games were reasonable in price. The arcade is spacious and everything was clean. If a game was ?out of order,? it was clearly noted, which really helped in not wasting money.

Need to regulate these small rowdy groups in places like these.

Lazer tag was fun. Games were fun, although some of them were overpriced. Others were understandable. I got a 500 ticket jackpot on a game and the game didn't give it to me. Tried to tell the staff but the guy seemed lazy and told us to wait. Well we did, and suprise! Nothing. The game glitched I guess, I still think I should have gotten my tickets, because I spent an unreasonable amount of money trying to get the jackpot. It was disappointing to say the least. It smelt like weed at one point. But what can

Fun place but replacing the old arcade games with blown-up versions of smart phone games wasn't a great choice. The new games are not bad and they do still have many old games, but it's not the 5 star location it used to be. VR headset experience was incredible!

This is one of our favorite places to play games with our kids and friends. The staff is friendly, the air hockey table is awesome, they have fun games, and there is a pool table as well. The location is fantastic--right on the boardwalk, so you are surrounded by foods, drinks, the beach and the pier.

Kids had a absolute blast there was something for all ages... laser tag was just amazing experience. But tokens can get kinda expensive. Definitely if your like me. They should have a sale where u pay $100 and get 500 tokens or something cause that would of Definitely been easier on the wallet ??

Great place for inside family fun. Lots of games to play. Loved the old school games.

Was a little disappointed. With a name like "Flippers...." I was expecting a few more Pinball Machines. Only had 5 Machines and ONLY made by STERN. But on a positive note. Although its $1. per game, it is 5 Balls instead of 3. I won a few games. If they offered the standard 3 Games for $2...I would give them 4 stars Rating because their machines were in good working order.

Great assortment of games for decent prices. Staff is personable, but unobtrusive to the arcade experience. Prize selection could be better. Ticket payout to credit cost ratios are adequate. (If you have not been there in a couple years, systems have been updated to accept play cards similar to Dave & Busters.)

Great variety of games to play for all ages! They don't not have paper tickets they go on a card instead so it is better for the ecosystem! They have cute toys to rack in your collected "tickets". Adults will love it as well as children and that includes toldlers as well!

They have games from old to new which is a good variety for everyone. Parents and kids a like. Prices aren't too bad. $10 lasted me quite awhile. The wins you get for ticket exchange are pretty sad but if you are older I don't think it's really about the tickets but the experience. The night staff was ok, just don't expect much of them.

I liked this place! The day was a little dull until we came across this little but colorful arcade it really was spotless and many games me and my girl had lots of fun seeing and playing some games there

I was looking for a place to play a few cool games before heading back to my hotel. The games here are extremely boring and I don't want to get a card for a place I'll never visit again. What is wrong with using quarters?

Great selection of games (new and old). The prices are set pretty fair on all the machines. Not a huge fan of the card system but I guess it works, there is just something about the enjoyment of putting a coin into a machine. I really wish they would do something about the bathrooms for some of us that tend to hang around for a long time.

Great place for some evening fun! The arcade is small and can get pretty busy. They have a pretty good selection and they keep it pretty clean. The prices are higher but fair for the location. Will be coming back ????

Clean smelled amazing great games, pacman, Simpsons, pinball great games for my kids also.

We had big fun. Found my favorite games.

Decent size arcade. It was close to our hotel. Took the kids here to kill some time while it rained. All the games were pretty expensive, but thats expected at a vacation area. They had a pretty good selection of new games and they had some older more nostalgic ones. Also had a good selection for different age ranges. Prizes sucked, but thats the same at every arcade. We did not try the laser tag.

Garbage machines, always break on you. Prices are crazy

A pretty nice arcade with laser tag. The arcade is a fair size more retro arcade. The prices were a bit higher than other arcades. And, not the best prize selection. But, we had fun and that's what matters the most! Spend around $20 here I'd say.

The games were very expensive to play ($1.25 average) and there was a small variety of prizes. The tickets you earn on average from a game compared to the tickets required for prizes isn't worth it. Spent $120 and in return could redeem a teddy bear that was no longer available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
