I've loved the past few years coming and playing the tournament every Tuesday night. It has multiple pinball machines as well as great food. Although I wish they melted the cheese on the nachos. Other than that and it's Pepsi product this place is the bomb

First experience at a pinball bar. The atmosphere was good. Quite a few pinball machines. The prices for the pinball machines varied between $.50-1.50, depending on the age of the machine. You have to exchange cash for tokens and they do have an ATM on site but if you want to save on the extra fees, bring cash. The food was OK. It was my first time visiting this place. They had a pinball tournament going on, and I enjoyed watching and talking with the players. The staff was super friendly and the foid was good. I can't wait to visit this place again when I'm in town.

Excellent Pinball Barcade located in one of the most popular areas of Memphis, adjacent to the Crosstown Concourse! Great staff, 16 pinball machines (some of which are set to competition level), a full kitchen, and a full bar with a cocktail menu! A worthy establishment to visit and revisit!

Flip Side is that place all the adults want that bring back the nostalgic experience of the arcade, and then flipped on its head with a full bar, pool table, dart boards and an awesome food and drink menu! Catch live music out back on the patio or watch your favorite teams play on one of the many TV's and try to set a high score at one of the many awesome, well maintained pinball machines! The experience was really nice and also I was with my son. We had a good time, but the food was bland. They need some of the pinball games like Flash Gordon and those nostalgic pinball games from the past. Overall, it was okay. People who worked there were nice.

Cool new place with good bartenders. I liked the cocktails that they made (told them they could make whatever and they made some stuff from their potentially future menu.). Tons of cool pinball machines, darts, and pool. Fair prices on everything and a good location across from the Crosstown mall. Too bad I love halfway across the country or I'd be back many times! The only negative was that they allow kids, but I assume that's a positive for some. They serve food too but I didn't try any.

Amazing!!!!! Every pinball machine has a camera on the playing table showing the action on a monitor above the pinball machine. There were families enjoying themselves,a great hang for buds, or a date night. The menu was somewhat Limited. A definite recommend.

Really good experience, I was nervous bringing my son in because it's a bar, I guess I am just not used to it but since it was more of a early evening around 4 ish I gave it a shot, did not disappoint. Hands down the best pinball machines in Memphis. 15 or 16 machines, all functional and well-maintained. Great mix of older and new machines. The restaurant/bar, though, leaves a lot to be desired; when it's firing on all cylinders, it's a great spot; however, the bar often runs out of common beers (currently out of Mich Ultra 12/26). The very first time I went in was on a Monday very nice vibe cool people and bartender was very friendly , I went again on a Saturday and boy the service was not same the bartender charged us 42 dollars for alcohol drinks and dip the first and second time I was not charged guarurity but Saturday was charged 6 dollars yyyy when she was closing her shift and she wanted us to hurry and pay

Was a fan of this place until they got rid of the pool table and started using AI incessantly on their social media. When the city they operate out of is being destroyed by xAI, their audience is begging them to stop polluting the earth with trash content, and just pushing them to hire local and get a social media manager that doesn't use AI, they come back with cringey hateful posts about how they won't stop. I have been missing an arcade in Memphis for a while since the closure of the Rec Room. I recently stopped in to check it out and grabbed one of their new cocktails. I chose the drink hype man which was very delicious. It was early evening on the weekend so it wasn't crowded there but I will be back to game some and check out competition nights for a true sense of the atmosphere.

Charged my card an extra $25. Called and told me to wait 3-5 business days. I waited 2 total weeks. Never got my money back. Drinks were very weak and not worth the money.

Cool atmosphere. But bartender was way overworked. She simply couldn't keep up. She was super nice and professional about it. But the disappointing thing about it all it that it appeared management simply watched and did nothing about it. Best of luck to her! And management... get it together!

I used to like this place a lot, but ever since they've started using AI it's gone downhill. Instead of paying local artists and being a part of the community, they're polluting the earth and lying to our faces trying to pretend like they're not when it's soooo obvious. I will never go here again

This place is a "must visit" in Memphis. Great energy, music and drinks. They have good food and cool bartenders. A mix of patrons - bikers, business people, families and college students all trying to score the highest points. My favorite pinball is Star Trek and Godzilla!

First off I'm a woman of color. Wanted to go here to check out the vibe, maybe grab a bite to eat and play a game or two. I went about 10:30pm last night which was Monday. when i first walked in i went to the bar and spoke i asked which way is the restroom the man behind the bar looked up from his phone at me hesitated and said in a dry hesitant manner and pointed back there, towards the restroom. I was in the restroom 5mins then the music turned off. A guy opened the restroom door and yelled I'm closing

Walked in and it was very busy and unorganized. Beer menu was on s board in the very back. Couldn't tell if someone was waiting on tables or you had to order everything from the bar. There wasn't a clear space to place orders at the bar. Spoke to one of the bartenders and asked about the sour beers they offered that was on the board in the back of the place and was told she has no idea what's on the board in the back. Love this bar! One suggestion would be having an hourly/daily rate for pinball play. I have been to similar bars in other cities that are always packed and having to use coins is an outdated model. That being said, we bring our kids here regularly and want this business to continue to exist. This is the kind of business Memphis needs. If you are a bar person looking for a great evening out with the family, this place should be at the top of your list. Thank you for being awesome!

I went too the Flip on the 18th of Sept 2024 yesterday evening around 4:45 pm I had placed a to go order for 2 flip burgers withe ditty chips which was 10 bucks a peice order was on time got home I was furious the meat was thin did not cover the bun and it was burnt and the big bun was burnt all around the sides they were so burnt u could only eat the center of the meat and the buns was so huge i will never return their . Atmosphere of this place is really on point. Easy and almost always free close by parking Now I was so wrapped up in the plethora of beautiful and in pristine condition, pinball machines! All are in working order and a lot of fun to play. I think I spent a little over $5 in tokens and played numerous games. I really enjoyed it here, I've brought a couple dates here just because I know I can count on the vibe!

Pleasantly surprised! My family was hoping to find a fun place to hang out for the night before flying home tomorrow, and ended up finding a place with solid cocktails, super fun pinball machines, and a lively atmosphere without being insanely loud. Bartenders were friendly, and the Mexican food on the menu tasted great

Such a great bar with a handful of pinball machines. Great atmosphere, Vibe and staff make you feel welcomed. Has plenty of parking and a decent menu. A nice spot to go spend an hour or two and nerd out. Pinball price range from 2 coins to 5 coins(about a quarter each).

Really fun. Great place for a few friends to get together. The food was ok but, not what you come here for. Didn't have a burger so they may be better. They have several older machines and a couple of newer ones. If you like pinball, this is the place for you.

Talon and KP are the best bartenders I've ever gotten drinks from. They're so knowledgeable with the drinks on tap and mixed drinks they can make. The place is awesome if you love games, and has a great variety of pinball machines. As an out-of-towner, I highly recommend this place.

Really fun concept. This was great entertainment for two hours, and we could've stayed longer if we had time. they have several pinball machines, darts and a quarter pool table. Bring cash for tokens. Great variety of local beers on tap. The nachos are served on a big tray which makes it easy for all of the chips to get some of all of the toppings. The elote corn is very flavorful with some heat. I'll be back soon!

Bad service! Bartender questioned us about a tip after we asked for an update on our food order. This is not appropriate for customer. Service. A tip is optional and not mandatory! Unbeknown to this bartender we had already tipped the other bartender in cash. Horrible experience will never return or recommend to anyone.

This place is really neat. They have a fun selection of pinball tables to play on and one pool table. Their selection of beers is pretty good with your standard Memphis beers on draft and a good selection in cans. It is a small building, which is what you should expect from being in the crosstown area, so it can get packed. However, they have a cool camera system so that you can watch people play pinball. This is a great place to go with one or two friends or your date!

This place is amazing. There is so much detail into the atmosphere. I believe anyone and everyone can enjoy themselves here. The food was great, the service was probably better than any place I've been since before Covid. The owners were there and talked to everyone to make sure everyone was happy and the staff had everything they needed. Hearing the hard work and vision that was made was a reality in following dreams is inspiring to never stop reaching for new goals in life. We will be back.

We went on a busy Saturday afternoon and the bar service was friendly and quick. The place is full of varying ages of pinball machines, all working and super clean on my visit. There is also a pool table and a couple of dart boards. In addition to a full bar, food is available and there are 3 or 4 outdoor patio tables out back. Fantastic experience!!! Only came for the pinball machines, and wow. Great selection, fair pricing, plus huge screens with live feeds of every machine so my friends could watch easily. Very cool feature, left me grinning. Staff are also very friendly, definitely coming for another visit before I go back to the UK.

I had never played pinball before I started coming here, but now I'm obsessed. I have met a couple people there who are happy to show a novice, like me, the ropes. They have a good selection of machines to choose from as well as darts and a pool table. The bartenders always seem happy to make a recommendation if you're not sure what to drink. Really nice place with great atmosphere. We went with a group of friends and we all ate and had drinks. I had a chicken quesadilla and a vodka and tonic with a lime twist. They were yummy! Played some pinball which was super cool. Great night. Will definitely be back.

One of the best pinball arcades/barcades I have ever been to (and I've been to quite a few!) I love the monitors above each machine showing the action on the playfield in real time. The food is super awesome as well!

The setting was kool especially if you enjoyed playing pinball as a kid. Service wasn't as friendly. No one brings you a menu as you seat yourself then have to go to the bar and place an order. Then get ignored at the bar. The food was good though. Needs work on customer service!

My hubby and I live at Crosstown, so we walked over for lunch. We both had a rice bowl, customized the way we wanted them. The food was fresh, tasted great, and was ready fast. I loved the fried avocado and he loved playing pinball. Great local find.

First visit...lots of empty used drinking glasses on the bar and paper menus stuck to the bar. Had one beer and in order to pay my tab had to get up from my stool to walk down to the end of the bar where one of the bartenders was busy on his phone or yapping with a customer on that end. As someone who doesn't feel like they fit anywhere this atmosphere is so fun and comforting. I don't really do bars but I've found a lovely spot to enjoy. Come see this place, play some games have some tacos and have a drink but most importantly have fun.

Atmosphere and service was amazing but the food was dry. Like everything, we had the barbacoa rice bowl, shrimp tacos, and the quesadilla all dry. I think they need a homemade sauce or something. Great hangout spot!

Horrible service. Barely spoke up when taking our order, barely made eye contact, had to walk up to bar and ask for refills (we were the ONLY customers in there), never once checked on us, menu states it will have some type of kettle chips and was given a bag of lays chips, had to wait for the guy working there to stop playing a pinball game so he could take our order, and had to remind him we were missing a drink. Food was 8/10 at least. What a flop!

I was looking forward to the everything pretzel but the batch received was ROCK HARD and burnt. I asked the bartender if another batch could be made and he said they always come out that way....not okay because I've had their pretzels before and they were soft. Please do right by customer by making a new batch or giving a refund. No one likes burnt hard as a rock food.

We stopped in here while back while traveling, when the place first opened. We thought it was so cool that we came back today. We were disappointed to find the pin ball machines are more expensive now. I few required 2 -25? tokens, but Most requires 4 to 5 tokens. That's $1 or more for 3 balls. We tried to cash out our remaining tokens after realizing how expensive they have become, and the bartender said we are stuck with them. She said someone else owns the machines. I don't believe I'll be back.

We went there on a lazy Wednesday afternoon, which turned into a rainy stormy afternoon. Electric went out while we were (luckily) playing pool, (no fault of the establishment). I love the tall tables and counters made with old pinball games, and the CG video artwork. Staff were very freindly. The food was good. Drinks were good, too.

Walked in with my protein drink i have per my Dr. to have to be yelled at...no outside drinks. Ok so put it in car. Walked back in. Rude bartender then said I can't serve food till 11:30. Literally the worst customer service I've experienced which is saying something since Memphis in general is lacking in customer service. The male bartender is extremely disrespectful and aggressive. Was ok. Burger was good. Don't bring quarters as they only allow you to change bills. They did not have the dirty chips as advertised in the menu.

It's a cute spot to stop in for an hour or so and grab a couple of drinks. It's small and there's only pinball machines, but it was nice to visit

Flip Side was great. My favorite drink is not on the menu but the bartender googled it and did a good job making it. They could use a couple of more items on the food menu.

I loved the pinball related decor. Good food. They have some vintage pinball machines where you can feel the vibration of the scoring counter and that 'thump' when you get a match. That really completes the ambiance when playing the vintage pinball machines. I'll be visiting more often ??

The token machine was out of tokens. The bartender only had $3.00 worth. This was Saturday night 09/10 around 6:15. At one dollar a game, the time went by quickly and then we left. Apparently, someone had to be called on the phone to come into the bar to refill the tokens in the machine. Don't count on being able to play pinball at FLIP SIDE Pinball Bar, even on a Saturday night.

The pinball machines were amazing to see I had the chicken quesadilla, and it needed more flavor and not the burned flavor I had. I will go back to play, but I'm not sure about eating. I forgot to take the picture.

Chill atmosphere. Had a couple of decent games. Machines cost about a dollar a game for more modern machines, .50 for older ones. Drinks are pretty expensive, I got a local Memphis beer and a margarita and paid ~21 not including tip. 10 for the margarita, 8 for a space age sippin. And the margarita tasted like box mix , way super sugary. Like when you drink super sweet tea and it makes you thirstier. Spent a total of 35 bucks on 2 drinks and about 45 mins of pinball. Might come back in 8-12 months.

Absolutely rude! Told before we even stepped in that no outside food or drinks. Okay we can deal with that, sorry we drink protein teas for helath reasons. Then rudely and bragging I cant serve you til 1130 bc we had a 10k day yesterday. Okay we dont care and you are supposed to be open at 11 and it was 1105. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. Y?all this place is AMAZING!!! I had so much fun playing Pinball and darts all while watching a few games on the big screen TV!!! Now let's talk about how good the food is, not only did I eat the chicken quesadilla, elotes, calabacitas, and the horchata cake ?? I have ordered to-go 3 times since!!! A very unique offering in memphis. A wall full of pinball machines from the old school 60's n 70's all the way to the most current extravagant new fangled games. The food was ok but the atmosphere is great. Cool spot to drink a few beers and play some fun games

I went to Flipside tonight today for the first time. The staff was friendly, it's a clean place, and there's pinball! Great atmosphere to say the least. Then I got the food. Get the chicken quesadilla because it's the best you can get in town and I stand by that. I'm picky about chicken, too.

Great pinball place like only a true enthusiast can create. Machines priced and leveled for proper and fun play, great titles from the EM era, going through the first digitals, and the latest HD networkable pins. Pinball theme all over the place. Drinks and food an absolute ++ Conveniently located just outside the Memphis main city craze. Please open one in northern Georgia.

Great place for family fun (before 9pm) or adult fun afterwards. Play some pinball or a game of darts. The food is AMAZING! I would go back just for that! Don't forget to try one of the desserts.

A nice wonderful place tucked in the crosstown area. I had there Flipside Salad ?? with Chicken and it was so favorable. Simple but good.Made my soul happy.

The games are well maintained but there aren't very many, most are $1.00 to play. It's a cute place but more games would go a long way to making it a destination.
