Bartender was very rude. Interrupted me to ask for my ID before I could finish my sentence, and was very rude when I had to re-insert my card to pay. Came here to have a good night, not be yelled at for mine and my bf?s ID before I could even order. Also asked the table next to us for an ID even though she got her drink at the bar and had already given her ID. Very unprofessional, and I'm very disappointed.
Gave one star because 0 was not a option. Staff was rude with no sense of humor. To top it off lanes were dry as a pepper fart. No oil anywhere on lanes. The lanes were the dirtiest I have ever seen. There was trash on the floor and it was a dirty environment all around. I attached pictures of my ball below for reference.
I love this place I have been going since I was a kid and it the perfect place for me to relax also the first place where I got my first bowling ball amazing quality if you want bowling ball or amazing time you should go there! And also the customer service is great! 100% suggest go to place!!
We visit often and always have a good time! We also love they participate in the kids bowl free program during the summer. Can't recommend enough!
The kids and I had a blast playing the arcade games. We won stuffed animals, candy and some other stuff from a crane game. Pretty nice place overall but the food wasn't very good. We order 4 of the exact same thing and the portions were different on all 4 of them and 2 we're heavily overcooked. But, again, it's was a good time overall.
We had a great experience here on a week day. Were enjoying my son?s first day of summer break. The lunch and bowl special was terrific! What an excellent value! The center was clean and the staff was friendly. The lanes were in great shape! Made for some great practice for the KC Corporate Challenge I'm participating in next month. Definitely recommend FH Lanes for your bowling entertainment hot spot!
I'd recommend not wasting your time or money here. Staff is relatively unwilling to do their job for the most part, and every time I've been there have been issues with the lane I was on, and when i brought it to the staff they essentially said there was nothing they could do. Also a similar thing happened to me as another guy who left a review, and my ball got very messed up from the lanes. Also, the entire atmosphere is just completely outdated, from the computer system to the carpet on the walls. It look
They were hosting a public schools bowling match/tournament. They were charging a rather large entry fee. Now I don't begrudge them the ability to charge an entry fee as many schools do this as well but whom ever was on the door needs to understand (bowling alley staff or school official not sure which) that a school bus driver whom needs to communicate with the coach shouldn't have to pay almost 15 (1 adult and the drivers child school wasnt in session that day for my son) to just to have a 3-5 min discuss
Balls are chipped up pretty bad, can't pull the bumpers for children over 8 no matter the size of the child?, older machines so no special bowling games, very hot inside even if your just sitting watching and ceiling fans are running full blast, can't reserve the lane prior to showing up, and the floor is uneven.
We went bowling on Halloween. We were under the impression that there would be social distancing since we didn't have to wear a mask once we arrived at our lane. When we arrived the employees were not wearing their mask, two had them on but around their chin and one didn't even have one in sight. We payed, for our shoes and realized they had put us directly next to a huge group of people when the whole entire bowling alley was empty. As a group we realized what happened and nicely went up there and expresse
A couple of weeks ago Dalton assessed/serviced an issue with the score input board and handled it great!!! Along with the things that have turned around for the better here, from Management to customer service. They're doing a fantastic job; plenty of lanes, the new screens, food, facelift, people having a great time shows and the cleanliness as well!! Thank you Mark and great job guys, keep up the amazing work!! Looking forward to Regional Bowling this upcoming Saturday!!! Let's get ready to go Bowl!!!! ??
I like it because it has fun and the staff let me finish the game when the game was over and I don't know why people have to get mad at bowling and they should get better at it.
I called about a month a head to get details for having my Christmas party here. Originally I told the manager that I spoke with that there would be around 30 to 35 people attending. I was told that I would only be charged the $14 a person for the 2 hours that we were there for the people that were bowling. Then the day before my event I received a call asking for a confirmation that I was still doing my party and for a head count on how many would be attending. I told him the head count. There was no ques
Older property that could use a little TLC, but the sign on the door said new owners, so I am sure that is in the works. Friendly and helpful workers, nice snack bar, lanes in good working order. My group had a fun time!
The machines in the back took a chunk out of my BRAND NEW BALL, when it was brought to the employees attention she wouldn't even alert the owners or mechanics to the problem, let alone offer any consolation or solution to the problem! Her response was "it's under new ownership, so they're working out the quirks" What a cop out! They've owned it well over 6months, plenty of time to fix such a huge problem!
Nice place. The new owners are updating things nicely. The lanes were in good shape and the kids had a great time at the arcade which has plenty of action games like Dirty Drivin'..they loved that thing!!
Awesome experience we went there last weekend and the staff was so polite and attentive to our needs. I rate them 20 out of 10. Thank you Flint Hills Lanes for making my party a little more special!!!!!
Great Place This bowling alley is wonderful. It has plenty of lanes and offers great food and drinks. Has some arcade games and an air hockey table. Very affordable and enjoyable.
Cyber bowling is really fun, but I wish they had a water fountain.
Pretty great, nice place. Lots of events throughout the week, including Ladies Night (free bowling for girls 18+ with ID after 10) on Fridays.
Great place to have fun for the entire family. Friendly staff and great food!
I like this place and they added new tvs where you can see your score so thats new and thats all I have to say so..... have a good day:)
I was not impressed with an employee that was rude to our party. If you cant be conciderate to children, perhaps you could find somewhere you don't have to work with kids?
Absolutely terrible customer service bar staff extremely rude and unprofessional
Bad service. We were left waiting for balls that would get stuck and then our time ran out and we didn't even get to finish 2 games.
Glad we have this for the kids to do in Emporia. The arcade is fun too.
Under new ownership. New arcade games for the kiddies...pretty nice!
Friendly people, needs some updates but overall a fun place
Fantastic business and managment
this place ?? is the best.??????????
Love Flint Hills Lanes and the staff!
been there 3 times and never open
Great for family outings
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
