I thoroughly enjoyed my "Blue Plate Special," which consisted of 1/4 roasted chicken and two side dishes. The chicken was moist, tender, and well-seasoned. I chose the house salad with Greek dressing and the collard greens. I loved the collard greens, although I would have preferred not being quite as salty as they were. The included corn muffin was a pleasant surprise; it too was delicious. I had no room left for dessert. The atmosphere is great for dining out, in general; but history and aviation en
Absolutely Wonderful Atmosphere, one of the coolest in Lexington. Tons of planes and war memorabilia and models all around. Our server was very very nice and our food was absolutely delicious. I would totally recommend, and my sister loved the arcade.
One of the most unique themed restaurants in the area! It was full of airplane and War memorabilia from the floor to the ceiling! The waitress we had was super friendly and got everything we needed plus stuff we didn't even think about! All the food was delicious and came out pretty quick! Also, I would definitely recommend to get one of their cake slices to go to enjoy after!
We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for numerous years. From in-house dining to comprehensive catering and private events, Flight Deck has consistently delivered exceptional food and services. Our children have matured in an environment enriched by the delightful atmosphere provided. Not a single visit has occurred without the owner personally asking about our experience. We eagerly anticipate creating Flight Deck memories with our grandchildren. Our affection for Flight Deck is immense!!
We've tried this place a couple times because the atmosphere and staff are very friendly and welcoming, but the food keeps us away. Without going into drawn out detail, it's just not good. The desserts look amazing, but again, taste bad like they're store bought at best or days old at worst, and at $30+ for three slices you expect better quality.
Flight Deck is a wonderful place for family and for individuals. The staff is extremely kind and the food is delicious. I am particularly fond of the blue plate special roast beef. We also love the arcade which is fun and full of great machines
Was pleasantly surprised with my dinner at flight deck. To be honest I had heard some mixed feedback about the food there but we ended up going anyway. I ordered the country fried chicken & it was excellent. Flavorful & crispy! My sweet potato fries & corn bread were also very delicious. However I wouldn't order the broccoli again. It was very mushy and watered down. The server was pleasant and did a wonderful job and the atmosphere was very happy and entertaining. I will definitely try again.
This is the Coolest Eating Establishment. We been several times. It's like some place you would see in a Tourist Town when we are Vacationing. We got The Large order of Onion Rings as a Appetizer. My husband, and I hadn't even started gossiping good , before they came out Hot, Piping Hot. I got the Philly Flyer w/ fries with a side of Au Jus. My Husband got the Teri Hot Wings. Food was Hot as Fire too. The decor is awesome. The lil Arcade is cool too. I'll have to bring my Grandaughters back . I'm proud o
First time visiting this restaurant. Attended a club meeting so we were in a reserved section. Love the d?cor,,, lots to look at. The menu was solid- a lot to choose from. I had the Hamburger steak with fries and mashed potatoes. Very tasty and satisfied with the overall experience. Would recommend to others.
Nestled in downtown Lexington, South Carolina, this restaurant is conveniently located with ample parking. We were here for kids birthday party, and individually greeted by the owner as we entered the private dining room. We only had one server, and she did a phenomenal job keeping up, and being in tune to our needs. The food and experience was as great as it has always been in the past. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and neat, and all of this staff worked harmoniously. If you like flight memorabil
Such a great restaurant. Food is amazing, staff is very professional and accommodating. My kids absolutely love the arcade. The owner Ted is a good man and very active in running a tight ship. The Flight Deck is a hallmark experience in Lexington SC.
This place is neat! A lot of aviation related memorabilia covers every wall. The food was delicious. I had the chicken cordon bleu and it was so flavorful, the mash potatoes were definitely from scratch and tasted scrumptious. My kiddos loved the cheeseburger and Mac and cheese. They have two life size super hero statues at the front that my 2 year old found to be so cool. The staff were very tentative and kind. The dessert case was stocked full of delicious cheesecake and regular cake. The cookies looked s
Well decorated and cozy place with; a great atmosphere. The service staffs were amicable. Overall the foods are great. The rib-eye steak was a bit too burned around the edges for my liking. Liked the sides of sweet potato waffle fries, fried okra, Mac and cheese, and the cornbread muffin!
I have been a long time customer and my review isn't necessarily about the restaurant but they host a monthly ladies bingo event that I attended Thursday night and my experience was humiliating to the point that I was in tears. They cram at least 100 people into their large room with barely any space to move. I use a scooter for mobility but can sit in a chair and move my scooter against the wall when I go to restaurants We had 2 people in our group not show so my friend moved my scooter behind those 2 ch
The food was great my service could have been better someone else was supposed to be waiting on us and the girl that waited on us told him that he was our server. I wish the guy would have served us. Because the girls service was not up to my standings not that I have very many staying is but at least I would pay attention to my customers. By the way you have the best pizza ever we ordered my daughter a pizza and she absolutely loved it and she hates Pizza it's so soft and I absolutely enjoy that my husband
Very fun place, an arcade to entertain little that is not bad priced. We were in our own room as we were a group of 11, but the room was not very decorated and boring compared to every other seating area. The food is good but nothing amazing. We got the Cordon Bleu, which was the best; chicken tenders were good and the Waffle fries were very good. Kids corndog and pasta were downed by my kids, and that is a plus. And got a free choclate chip cookie for a birthday and oh man it was amazing! I have cheesecake
Diner type food that was okay. The atmosphere and setting is fun. It was advertised as an American and "Greek" food restaurant. That's kind of a stretch since the only Greek item is a tasty gyro. Most of it was American wraps, sandwiches, and entrees. Service could have been better. Our waitress was very nice, but it seemed like she forgot about us and made our visit a lot longer than necessary.
A wonderful spot for a family meal! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff treats you like neighbors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy. A local favorite we'll keep coming back to!
I've been here quite a few times but never dined outdoors and somehow didn't realize the expansive outdoor seating. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of traffic noise and enjoyed the ambiance. They were very busy and our service was excellent. The food was good, nothing over the top but I will say we were all disappointed in the Greek potatoes. They lacked any discernible lemon flavor whatsoever. Although we didn't get dessert, the choices are vast & quite delectable. The interior of the restaurant
Unfortunately, my experience at the Flight Deck Restaurant in South Carolina was disappointing from start to finish. The food was subpar at best?bland, lacking freshness, and certainly not worth the price point. Even more frustrating was the service. The waitstaff came across as uninterested and unfriendly, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. But what truly pushed this visit into unacceptable territory was the manager?s behavior. Rather than addressing concerns professionally,
This place really needs to hire more mature staff, the atmosphere was very highschool, and i feel for any men who dine here alone, the teenage girls like to accuse men of harassment when all they're doing is trying to enjoy their time here, there are tons of status and art to look at here and they seem to think all eyes are on their bodies for some reason, very self conscious and inappropriate behavior from waitresses... not sure what is up with this new generation and thinking everyone is out to get them
The fried flounder and macaroni were OK, not anything I'd have to have again. The greek potatoes and hush puppies were really good. Now the country fried steak and sawmill gravy was bangin. My husband's food is always better than mine. The grandboy's spaghetti was good, and a large size for a kid. They have a full arcade and sing happy Birthday with a cake made in house. Great service and prices...I'll definitely be back to try other items.
We were in town for a soccer tournament. Our team came here for a team dinner. Service was amazing. The food was great. The arcade was a great addition for the kids to hang out and have fun after a full day of soccer. Great time all around!
Great place! I really loved the atmosphere. The servers were great. All the food looked so good I wanted to try everything. If I am ever passing through the area again I will definitely be back.
I got take out. I called in my order. The person was friendly and I had no trouble ordering. When I picked up my food it was ready and everything was piping hot even when I got back to my hotel room. It looked really cute inside and I would love to dine in next time. I got a blue plate lunch with country fried steak, mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. It came with 2 little corn muffins. I also got the chorisitos and a slice of lemon raspberry cheesecake. The blue plate was very tasty. Definitely peppery (m
This is the first time we've been into this place and the food was very good. The inside of the place looks like a museum, dedicated to various airplanes over history. This place reminded me of diners that I have been up in the northeast. Unfortunately it did not look like they serve breakfast. We will definitely go back at some point.
Fun place for lunch. Service was on the money. All the food was hot and fresh. Deserts here are FANTASTIC. Arcade was neat and kid friendly. Get you some jelly belly's on the way out.
In town for a lacrosse tournament and wanted to eat out with my son. Looked on Google for a few choices and we selected Flight Deck based on the reviews and photos. We were surprised how quickly we were seated at 6:30. We were waited on right away and even the owner stopped by to ask how everything was. Very good conversation with him! We ordered a dozen mild wings as an appetizer and a Flying Fortress for my son (big burger with bacon and cheese) and a P-38 Lighting for me (chicken burger with bacon and c
And and 2ic heard about this place. So we decided to go for lunch. We really didn't know what to expect.. the decor was different. It had planes and old photos of war beterans( pilots) it was really nice. They had a decent menu. I was very intrigued when I saw fried green beans. The one thing I would say was bad was the Arnold palmer was watery. It had a lot of ice in it. But the food was actually good. I say actually because didnt know what to expect. The server was nice. And the food was brought to us
Ted and everyone at the Flight Deck just restored our faith and hope in continued quality and customer service. The Flight Deck is a full-throated example of why we all need to continue to support the local businesses that are loyal to the communities they serve. To Ted and all at the Flight Deck. A sincere and heartfelt thank you for all the years you have served Lexington, SC. And at the end of the day. This place is just flat-out cool! SFMF (Semper Fi My Friends)
We love this place. As retired AF crewmembers, my wife and I love this atmosphere as well as the wonderful food and service. The owner stops by to say hello and thanks everyone for stopping by. It is worth t 1.5 hour trip for us.
Always great food and service. Large menu with many options. There is a game room in the back. Very family friendly. Great place for large groups.
Absolutely LOVE this place. The atmosphere is creative and fun, the owner personable and staff friendly. Then, there is the food. FANTASTIC! Great variety. Sometimes I'm sitting in another restaurant wondering why I'm not here.
We were in a large group (around 25). They offered us the "back room" for privacy. The waitress took very good care of us and the food was delicious.
This restaurant is suited well for families with that family atmosphere. It is dedicated to the promotion of aviation and the military with model airplanes and photos everywhere, it also has an arcade. The food is geared for most families and great for the family wallet, kids will love all the planes hanging from the ceiling. Enjoyed our meal and the service.
I love this place. I've been coming for years. I always get the Juggernaut sandwich (French dip) and I am never disappointed! The staff and owner are very friendly and the atmosphere is always nice and relaxing. I highly recommend checking them out!
Cool place, went there to sit in on the local H.O.G. chapter meeting. The food was good and reasonable price. Had a great selection of desserts. Game room was great!
Great place for families. Food was fantastic with a good variety to please various palates. The owner is extremely active in the care the customers receive. The arcade was perfect for the kids, young and teens. The only complaint was several machines liked to skim additional tokens or just simply would not work after inserting tokens. That being said, the young man in the back graciously refunded the tokens from the games not working right. We will definitely be back!
LIVE ROACHES IN THE FOOD!!! Do not eat here. There was a live roach in the salad, and all they offered was to comp the single meal or a free dessert??? Why would we want a free dessert after you just served BUGS. Disgusting and poor management.
So I really don't know where all these 5 star rating are coming from for this place. I can only think it's locals who don't get away much. The only positive about this place is the atmosphere. It has lots of sights to see inside and an arcade. Now to the actual reason you would come here?..to eat. The menu seems like it varies but it's just different versions of the same meal over and over again. For just a shade under $50 we got a small order of onion rings (frozen, not fresh, some were still cold), chick
Super cool aviation themed restaurant and arcade. The owner Ted was on it! He chatted with customers, seved food, made cocktails, I had the flying goose made with amaretto instead of melon liqour it was absolutely fantastic! Our server Sterling was funny, polite and attentive. In spite of dealing with a party group he kept our drinks full and checked on us frequently. I had the Lead Sled, Roast beef platter on open face sourdough bread with dark gravy, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato souffle. Everyt
Went in and they were hopping. Zero wait. Seated and checked on by owner repeatedly. Great staff. Food was super quick, hot and delicious. Great find!
We had a birthday party for one of our grandsons. We were in a private room and received excellent service. Even on a very busy Saturday night, the food was fresh and arrived quickly. I had the Marauder with delicious collards. My wife had a fabulous Rueben with fries. After birthday cake, the kids spent the rest of the evening in their huge Arcade. As always, Ted checked in on us to make sure that everything was OK. Classy guy that I've known for many moons. We first met at his original location across the
Nice atmosphere. It was visually appealing to our young one. But, the overall quality of what we ordered wasn't worth the price. First, we brought our child and the cup (16oz styrofoam) they gave her was way too big, too big even for an older child. Second, the meat for all of our sandwiches was clearly old and not the best quality. The corned beef was dry and lacking that juiciness that goes into a great Reuben sandwich. Plus, the bread wasn't covered all the way; which is a big no-no for sandwiches (see p
I visited The Flight Decked with my grandson recently and had a really great experience. Our waitress was Savanah, and she was exceptional. She rolled out the red carpet for my grandson and never left us wanting for anything for any length of time. The prices were reasonable and food was good, certainly not gourmet but it was good and we enjoyed it. Of course the arcades was a huge draw for my grandson. The arcade was not huge, but it was big enough and we'll maintained so that he had a lot of fun. He le
Always friendly, and the food is quite good. The atmosphere is one of a kind with the aeronautical theme and arcade. Great family environment.
Ted is an amazing person as he made sure our party of 15+ people had our own private room for a fun experience and delicious food! We highly recommend and hope to be back soon!
A Huge selection of delicious foods. Everything I've tried has been fabulous Staff always providing excellent service
Will not be going again unfortunately, server gave me a cup with a giant deli stick in my drink (giant toothpick) and kept forgetting what I was drinking?.i had mr.pib and she kept giving me Diet Coke?the food was good when leaving my daughter who's 3 was knocked down by at least a 10 year old who didn't have a parent with them. I love this place so upset we had a negative experience.
Been coming here for years, maybe once or twice a month and never had a bad meal. The atmosphere and service has always been great. This time I ordered delivery through one of the delivery services and still I was not disappointed. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu over rice with Mac and cheese. It's one of my favorite dishes from here. The flavor and portion is perfect. It was well packed and the the presentation was great. If you haven't been to Flight Deck, then you are missing out!
Had a group of 25 everything was perfect the owner came by several times to check on our service and food quality which was great
Always have a great experience eating here. The owner, Ted, is super friendly. I had never gotten the Greek chicken... it was excellent! I've never had anything bad. Service is always the best!
We've visited a few times now and each time we've had the same experience. The main dish tastes hot and fresh but the sides do not. Upon this visit, the sweet potato fries were like cardboard, like they had been sitting under a warmer all day which left them tough and flavorless. I love broccoli but this broccoli was not good. It tasted like frozen broccoli that had been sitting in its water all day which included a bit of butter, a lot of garlic and some red pepper. The flavor just wasn't good at all. The
We had a great time. The staff was so eager to serve our table we had 3 staff members check on our table to make sure we were taken care of THEN the owner stopped and I ask and I told him how AWESOME his team was. I asked him if the had read the book there is a picture of on this post. He told me to take it and bring it back even though he knows I am from Michigan. I guess I have a book to read and a trip to plan to take his book back. WORK HARD.....PLAY HARDER ?????????????
I don't understand the draw of this place. I decided to try it again because the first time I went there, it was literally overpriced cafeteria food that was barely editable, but that was 3 years ago. I came back today and got a salad thinking that you can't go wrong with the salad, their Greek salad, especially that was $15. The Greek dressing was unedible, it was literally just like watered down olive oil. So I asked them to switch and bring something different and they brought this thousand island dressi
I ordered double chicken breast with a side of mash potatoes , sweet potatoes mash and fried okras the okras was sooo hard and dried out you can tell they were extremely OLD and was sitting for hours the sweet potatoes mash was NOT SWEET AT ALL SO BITTER IT MADE MY FACE CRINCHED THE FOOD ALL IN ALL WAS A ZERO I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK the muffin they served with the food was so hard and dried out I almost broke a tooth this is NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL A WASTE OF MONEY!!????????
I ordered fried flounder with sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. Server was busy but took care of all our needs in a timely fashion. Clean, quite place to have a meal and enjoy conversation with your friends. Owner came to the table to check on us, which was refreshing. Great place to support local, small business!
Food was delicious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Desserts were amazing!!
This was a quick lunch trip that went very well. Severe storms were approaching while we were eating so I was in a hurry but the soup and salad were very good. The service was great as we were not bombarded with constant questions but not neglected either. The restaurant was mostly filled but I didn't notice a drop in service. The area where I was seated was clean and the decor is really cool! I mean, who doesn't love airplanes!
Stop by with my 10 yrs old daughter and she loved everything! We stopped by and grabbed cookies on our way out . Oh and can't forget the Arcade ! She had a blast on a Monday and is asking when we can go back!!! We had the blue plate shrimp special.
It was awesome. My volunteers from LMC was so pleased with the meal & the service was TOPS!! AWESOME cookies!
We all love this place. I have a 4 and 9 year old and every time we come here we all have fun, it's reasonably priced, and the food is delicious.
Wow, what a great place to bring the family. The food was great. The atmosphere was also amazing. Plus, it has an arcade for the kids. On top of that, the service was excellent.
This is probably the best overall restaurant in Lexington. I highly recommend the gyro and Greek salad for lunch. Their dinner specials are an outstanding value. As a pilot, I love the atmosphere. The owner, Ted, is a fine gentleman and a gracious host, who takes pride in every meal. Don't be surprised if he personally greets you during your meal. You MUST try it!
It's a funky place worth a visit. Fun decor and and the food was good.
We had my daughter's wedding lunch there and had a big crowd. Our waitress was awesome. The food was great. I can't think of any complaints at all. It even has arcade to keep kids entertained.
The menu was difficult to understand at first, but once their amazing staff cleared it up, it began to make sense. The sandwiches were incredibly delicious. The onion rings might have been the best I've ever had. The items to avoid is definitely the mac and cheese and the rice, both were below stellar.
Food is great and still reasonably priced. A little noisy at time, but oh well.....
I have been coming here for years and the food and service are always excellent. Today I came for a work center luncheon. I got the chicken fried steak with collards and Lima beans. The owner greeted us and was very friendly and helpful.
This place has great food. A different environment. And there wasn't a long wait. Rueban sandwich and fries were awesome. ??
Tried this spot for the first time. Decided to go with one of my favorite classic dishes (Country Fried Steak). When I tell you this was a top-tier meal... the lima beans melts in your mouth, the mashed potatoes with the Sawmill Gravy were great, and that crispy steak was to die for!!! And to top it all off, we had a great waitress(Krystal) that made everything all worth the trip. Definitely will be going back sooner than later!!!
They remade my burger without a problem! Thanks! Great family restaurant!
Flight Deck was enjoyable, my family members went out to eat on Valentine's Day. We were able to get a private room right away. Our food was delicious & our Server took good care of us..
Just had a delicious lunch and we enjoyed every bite! Our table had the Corsair and the croissant was so fresh and the ingredients in the sandwich were plentiful and yummy. We also had the Country fried steak with homemade fried okra, onion rings and fresh baked corn muffins (they were so tasty we had to request more!). Each bite was scrumptious! Topped it off with a lemon blueberry cookie for dessert and we can't wait to come back to try all the other amazing looking desserts! Our server Crystal was so kin
Always excellent food. Fantastic service. Beautiful nostalgic airplanes. amazing photos on the wall gameroom perfect place to eat.
Great friendly service and I love the military/aviation/history found all through out the building. It's fun for the kids with the arcade attached. The food was ok not the greatest but not bad either just a bit bland. Would still come back again
The best priced and tasting takeout we've had in a while!! No problem getting it delivered to our hotel room. The food was still hot and not soggy!!! We really enjoyed the country fried steak and philly sub!!!
Very unique and fun place to eat. A lot of cool aviation memorabilia on the walls, in cases, and in the tables. Very diverse menu, service quick, large portions of food and pricing in line. I ordered the gyro sandwich with fries with homemade taziki sauce. My husband had fried flounder with excellent onion rings and a salad. Flounder was a bit overcooked and too crispy. The onion rings, beer battered were very tasty. His salad was small but good with homemade croutons. My gyro was disappointing. Th
First me and my family came here. The food and service was awesome.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere!! The staff are very friendly and they work very hard, they do a fantastic job. Definitely a go-to spot for good food!!
Flight Deck is supportive of veterans as it has been for years. I started going there in 1995 and that has remained consistent. Service is usually great, but this last time was not. Our water wasn't refilled and we weren't 'checked on' by the waitress except during ordering and delivering the bill. This was an exception in the normal service standards. We will continue enjoying Flight Deck and its food and drink options.
Absolute great atmosphere! So much fun, our waiter was hilarious and the owner was so friendly and thoughtful of every customer! Food was great, but the pleasant environment and staff was what really stood out!
Food was great hot and fresh customer service was great and amazing atmosphere!!
The food is not very good the arcades sre fun gor the kids but they make you get cash which you need from an atm before the cashier would just get you the money you needed and the atm gives you smaller bill which give less for your money on the coins I found this to be a bit of a rip off I decided not to return
Flight Deck is a staple, a landmark in Lexington. The food is good and the owner and staff are so nice. I come for the best nachos in town. Free cookie, candle and embarrassing birthday song once a year! They also have a seemingly endless selection of desserts, jelly bellys available by the pound and a little arcade. There's also a few outdoor tables available! Pictured below: Nachos Grande; strawberry shortcake cheesecake and Birthday cookie.
Great experience and good. The owner is always very welcoming with a huge smile. Food always hot and delicious. Oh, and the bakery will have you going crazy with all the options.
Really enjoyed myself here, this is a place for the whole family to enjoy. The food was great, the owner was filled with a great spirit, and dessert was out standing!
I was with a group of 20 friends, and we had reserved a room which was set up with separate tables. We arranged one long table which was more to our liking. Our wonderful young man server was not phased by this. He took our orders and brought our food in a very timely manner and was very polite and cheerful. My French dip was very good and I opted for a salad instead of potatoes, just trying not to eat so many calories. Love French dip & this one did not disappoint. Took half of it home and ate it the next
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
