Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the fun atmosphere, friendly staff (especially Lauren, Seth, and Matt), and good food/drinks, with many highlighting great experiences for parties and families. However, several 1-star reviews cite rude staff, maintenance issues (faulty scoring/pins), strict policies (water bottles, time limits), and overcrowding. While bowling is enjoyable, multiple note high prices. Clean lanes and arcade amenities are appreciated, but inconsistent service and technical problems frustrate some patrons. Positive experiences often mention exceptional service, while negative ones focus on unprofessional staff and operational shortcomings.

Customer Reviews

Had an amazing time here! The atmosphere was fun and family-friendly, and everything was super clean and well-maintained. Lauren, Seth, and Matt made our experience unforgettable. They were super helpful, extremely friendly, fun, and always around to make sure we had everything we needed. The lanes worked perfectly, and the food and drinks were surprisingly good for a bowling spot. Whether you're just stopping by for a casual game or planning a party, this is definitely the place to go. We'll be back soon!

I always go to this place with my kids, but lately the points can't be counted correctly. You try to reset them and you waste time. The truth is that it's become a frustration. The staff doesn't understand and doesn't try to help you. On the contrary, they tell you to keep playing. I know they don't work properly (because sometimes the pins don't come back correctly). More maintenance or maybe telling the customer that it didn't work properly from the beginning. (Obviously, it's not all the lines, but no lu

One of our favorite spots around town! We always know we're gonna get the best service and smile when Lauren is on shift! She never fails to bring a killer attitude and to keep you laughing. Don't forget to stop in for fight nights!!

Atmosphere isn't bad, but after paying around $70 for 1 hour of bowling, an employee wouldn't let me get a drink from the bar unless I paid $5. Meanwhile the two girls in my party were told by what seemed to be the manager they didn't have to pay because they were bowling. Crazy how that works right? Safe to say I just had the girls order my drinks since the guy kept insisting I had to pay $5 cash only, even after explaining my group was already told they didn't have to pay because we paid for bowling he ju

The bowling alley was incredibly fun. The music was nice. The food was great. The sports bar being right there in the bowling alley was very convenient and not overcrowded. Overall I had an excellent experience.

1/24/24 (Wednesday) 8:30pm Only bowling alley in our area, luckily it's a great one!! No wait @ 8:30 for a party of 4. $69 after tip for four people for up to 3 hours on a lane. We stayed for just over 1.5 hours. $17.25 a person for shoes, 3 hours on a lane, and water. A great deal! Lanes were roughly half occupied at this time, beware however that weekends and holidays get extremely busy with up to a few hour wait on a lane. You can play your own music if you pay, which sadly means some of the songs pl

Recommend the bar. Ladies make AMAZING drinks and even better customer service. We went on a busy weekend and we're still able to get lanes no problem. The food is made super quick even while parties are happening all around.

This was my first time bowling at this place. The bowling and the lanes were fine. The floor was sticky and dirty. The girl working on Thursday 12-12 in the morning was very nice and helpful, however the gentlemen working seemed very annoyed if you asked him any questions or asked for help. I would definitely return as it's not that expensive and it's close to the area.

Fun music and lights. Drinks taste really good. Affordable food options. I was also able to take advantage of half off Tuesdays.

Wonderful experience with our family! We loved the couches, the personal checkins on our wellbeing, and delicious food. Best bowling experience place we've experienced

Scoring doesn't work. Impossible to keep score. Frustrating. Needs maintenance. Understaffed

Kind of a bit pricey but definitely worth it! Great place for some good ole family fun! Food and drinks were perfect! We had an amazing time! We will be returning!

My husband and I hadn't been in here for years, but went in last Friday night and ate the spicy chicken sandwich. Wow! We were impressed! We've been on the hunt for the best spicy chicken sandwiches, so we're glad we found this one. We would rate this one in our top 5 We've tried in and around Folsom. Yummy!

Had a great birthday party here ?Jeremy and Chris really took care of us thank you so much!!!!

No outside food or drink, and no expectations for medical reasons for even having your own water bottle. And staff attitudes are very standoff and rude (eye roll and huffing). Facilities are nice but I wouldn't want to deal with half the surly staff.

Decent bowling alley. Nice bar and the food was decent.

Great place, expensive though. But cocktails are expensive but really good.

Fun environment and good pizza with friends. Bowling lanes were okay.

We showed up for a pre-booked Sunday 2-hour slot for our family of five to find the lanes very crowded. Our greeting at the counter was cold, basically what's your shoe sizes. We were put with another group of 3 which meant very tight quarters and having to weave around each other every time we went to bowl. We had to go into the bar around the side of the building to order food and drink--kids are not allowed in the bar, so the adults were playing servers for the night which wasn't super convenient. The p

Denying patrons the flexibility of bringing their own water bottle to the bowling alley is something I'd never heard of. Not wanting patrons sneaking alcohol in or out of the bar is one thing. Keeping an individual with medical conditions from bringing their own water bottle to a children?s bowling party is ridiculous.

We had our party there for the company it was fun we had a blast open bar pool table bowling alley pretty fun

Nice place . I love it

Always fun to spend some time with friends, and coworkers for a round or two of bowling.

Machines are broken and keep knocking pins down. We were forced to leave with only one frame remaining.

The bowling is fine but the customer service is absolutely terrible. Tried to call to confirm my reservation because I didn't get an email confirming my online reservation and I was on hold twice for over 10 minutes each. They charge a fortune for their bowling to have such bad customer service.

It was expensive. 43 for an hour, just me and a friend. But everything is expensive and it was a lot of fun. The employees were awesome. Nice and helpful. They made sure to be around but didn't disrupt our fun. The music was odd. It started with upbeat music (appreciated) and then suddenly fell into sad, slow music, which just killed the fun vibe.

Bowling was really fun!! That was worth it. The drinks or the food? .... Not so much. Service was alright. Overall we had a great time bowling.

Fun local bowling alley and sports bar. Great sound system and lighting for late night bowling. Plan on spending about $50 /hr for a lane in the evening. Open late every night.

They provided everything we needed for birthday party. It was a little awkward being out in open. It would be great if they had private rooms, but employees top notch.

I bowled here a couple times this weekend since it was the closest place- Once at night, once in the afternoon. They have 16 lanes but never saw more than four lanes occupied at one time. This is because their lane conditions are bad and their pricing model is even worse. What they do have is an awesome environment, great seating, and lots of attractions. Sadly this bowling alley seems like more of an afterthought to the entertainment center. If they took it seriously, oiled the lanes, and charged reasona

The facility has undergone extensive renovations (the star for it), incorporating latest technology, however, the level of customer service provided falls short of fostering loyalty and repeat business. The manager's (Melissa) demeanor conveys a sense of impatience and a lack of hospitality, creating unfriendly atmosphere and tension. Based on my experience (2 pizzas + 2 pitchers of soda at $332 for 2 lanes 12 people bday) I do not intend to return to this establishment and would prefer Fireside Lanes in

We attended a birthday party here. The facility was clean and nice, food and drinks came quickly. I will say that when the allotted time was up, they were extremely strict and LITERALLY kicked everyone out of the room and off the reserved lanes... on the dot. No extra 5 minutes or so to gather your things, or say goodbye. I did NOT appreciate that.

We had a lot of fun with coworkers playing bowling. I liked the dark lighting.

We had my Granddaughters 8th Birthday Party on March 12th here and everyone had a great time! The staff was awesome! I highly recommend booking a party here the food was good and the party room and set up was great! We called around to different places and the cost of the party for 12 kids was so much more reasonable than most places. Thanks FLB for a great party!!!

Had our teen daughter's birthday party here. They had a lot of fun eating and bowling. Pizza and fries were quite good.. Staff were extremely helpful with odds and ends throughout the party. Definitely a great place to hold an event or party!

Came here to celebrate a work related Christmas party, food was ok, music was not the best very outdated, and the brunette woman and blonde woman with tattoos that worked at the bar were incredibly rude. I was the only person out of my male and women coworkers that was asked for my ID in a rude tone as well so I didnt even order. My coworker had brought me a drink later on in the night and as we were mid conversation the blonde approached us and said she needed to see my ID which I gladly showed her. All in

It was a fun experience being there. It wasn't crowded or too expensive either. They gave me the options of paying for 1 or 2 hours, granted it was a Sunday night, I still had fun there. You can buy some alcohol and other non alcoholic beverages while there. I didn't get to order food so I am unsure what type of meals are served here. It's worth checking out. They have pool, bowling, and various arcade games at this location. Go have fun!

Nice and clean place. Booked FLB for a bowling birthday party and everything went off smoothly. Food and service both were good. Everyone enjoyed the party. Bowling lanes were maintained properly. Staff was paying attention towards cleaning. Overall a good experience.

We had our employee Christmas Party at the lanes and had a fantastic time. Everyone enjoyed it and hosted a great event. Great food and bar service with great cocktails on the lanes! A very surprising and laid-back event, 100% recommended!!!

Today I came in with some family to bowl as a party of 3. The blonde woman who helped me upfront was very cordial and seemingly friendly. She asked for our shoe sizes and assigned us lane 14. I was told the rates were hourly and that was fine with me. One could tell there was a party of some sort planned being there were balloons spread throw out the alley. After only TWO games which took us roughly an hour, I went up front to ask if we could put the bumpers up on my lane, and I was notified I had 15 minute

Non refundable reservations. It might state no refunds online but booking online its just so quick and you don't really have time to read everything. When I called in about the cancelation I was met with an attitude like as of I was the 100th person to call about this issue. This is my first time calling and I've never even been to this establishment. This is no way to treat first time customers. All I have to say is whomever is answering phone should not be answering the phone. They will ruin your busi

Kids had fun bowling two rounds after homecoming. They were able to get a lane immediately when we got there at 10pm on a Saturday night. Facilities were clean. Bought snacks and they delivered them right to the lane.

Lanes are clean and well kept. If you need lessons or any bowling supplies (including new bowling balls, shoes etc.) be sure to stop in and see the pro at "Mark of Excellence". He is very knowledgeable and a kind, caring and gracious man.

Excellent modern facility with lots to do for the entire family, as well as date nights.

A foundational establishment in Folsom. Lake bowl delivers fun, food, drinks and entertainment. Beef sliders are fantastic, happy hour deals, so much more. I love this place. Large outdoor patio is fantastic!

This has to be one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever seen The blonde lady who refused to give her name at the main counter was rude arrogant stuck up and very unprofessional. And she wasn't even interacting with me it was a situation I witnessed at another Lane the owners really need to do something about this woman before she cost them even more business

A really fun bowling alley with great food and drinks!

Paid 200$ for 2 lanes, for 2 hours. The lane malfunctioned the whole time. Wouldn't reset pins, constantly dropped pins, pins were stuck in Gutter. But the food was fast.

Garbage bowling alley with terrible staff. They make excuses on what lanes are available and then give them away to friends. This place has been terrible for years and remains so. Find a real AMF alley and stay far away from this dump.

Mark of Excellence Pro Shop is great! Always friendly service, and extremely reasonable prices. They also periodically run specials on their equipment! Be sure to check them out.

Bartender ignored us until someone sat next to us, then he waited on them first. My beer was about $8.30. I gave him $10 and he never brought change. I was going to give it to him but let me make that decision.

Great drinks, great food. However it was a little smoky on the side we were on. That won't keep us away though.

Probably good for families but as a hard core bowler it was a no go. Lanes super dry, tight confined space between lanes.

Best sports bar in the area! If you havent been there for football, then you haven't been to a real sports bar. The staff is awesome, prices are good and the food is bomb!

Been boring here since 1994. Never done me wrong ??????

Bowling was ok bad music played loud. Bought $70 worth of food just to have server\cook be rude get my order wrong then tell me he will get to the re make eventually. Really bad service

It's a fantastic place for family fun time or great place to hang out with. Nice clean shoes and great music!!!

Fun day of bowling with family following Thanksgiving..

Super friendly owners and staff.

This place is run down only had a handful of lanes open and the service was extremely lacking the the heavy set blonde at the register was very rude and unprofessional. I will not be returning with my family

Very nice employees they even set up bumpers for me because I kept getting gutter balls. Definitely going back.

Fun time for a reasonable price!

Very fun, entertaining place! Great for parties, easy to schedule and reasonable prices.

Fun place for bowling hours. Enjoy with a glass of beer. Good service. Clean place. Parking available.

Great new menu great drinks and the friendly bartender Kevin who had been there for years

Had a Great time hanging out with the crew! Thank you FLB for your hospitality!

Great atmosphere, fun bartenders and LOTS of TV screens for this coming football season!

Fun for the family. Not crowded. Food is reasonably priced. Lots of parking.

Great time was had by all. Food was awesome and service is exceptional.

Had a ball! Went bowling for the 1st time in over 25 years! Great food, good drinks!

Awful people are working there. Such a rude staff and manager who are not professional at all.

My granddaughter had her birthday party here and the kids had a ball! Party was hosted perfectly @

Good wholesome fun. Arcades and a party room. Place where you can eat and have a beer and Bowl too.

Nice place organized good food just wish it had more lanes

We go in to get some practice for our Thursday night scratch league. It sure is great too be bowling again.

Went bowling with my son for mother's day early. We had a great time but it was kinda pricey.

Great family place clean Great pro shop.Good food managed by Melissa she does a great job

BEST LITTLE BOWLING ALLY ON THE WEST COAST. CLEAN AND SAFE WITH GREAT FINGER FOOD.

Fun for the kids. Bowling was good. The lanes are in good shape.

Nice bowling facilities. I haven't tried any of their food yet.

Fun place to bring to kids with specials including food , bowling and shoes in one package

Great place! The staff were great!

A typical bowling alley. There's an arcade and bar. Wow! Bowling is expensive.

Great place to go with the family. Just a tad bit busy.

Music was great, food was what youd expect, had a great time :)

Really nice bowling alley. Good atmosphere, friendly staff.

$52 for one person to bowl for one hour, not impressed at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
