a good selection of machines but most needed major maintenance. Fireball was in the best state but still had lights out.

Cool place that's clearly a labor of love. It's got a lot of potential, but the cabinets need serious attention. As an 80?s kid, a trip to the arcade was topped only by an afternoon at Six Flags. This place was full of happy memories. Get these cabinets tip top, freshen up the decor, and fund it via kickstarter or Patreon, and you're filling a sorely needed physical location for social activity. I applaud your efforts!

Great place. Friendly at the front desk. There were a few games not working or half working. The hockey table does.not have the air to move the puck. Great nostalgia games throw back to the 80's arcade fun!

We drove 45 minutes to play pinball and only one of the pinball machines was working correctly. Skeeball and a number of other machines were also down. Advised the young man at the counter that the one wasn't working but he did nothing about it and didn't even put a sign up. Would have appreciated a warning before paying $10 to go in and walk back out. Will call next time before going. What a shame.

Awesome arcade right in the middle of Main Street Front Royal. 10$ admission for adults, 5$ for kids, unlimited all day play! You can leave and come back as long as you show your hand stamp upon reentry. Awesome games! Dance dance revolution! House of the Dead 2!! A whole wall of pinball machines. Games with 100s of game pages to choose from, literally could not find a better or more fair deal at any arcade. We have had multiple family game nights here and our group grows every time we come back! I can't re

Always come me here when I come visit family in Front Royal. A lot of high quality games and machines. The whole family had a great time!

Love it. When I went year before last, it was 5 bucks for an hour. The games were free. It was clean, and there was a decent selection of games.

Really cool little arcade. A good amount of machines were down for maintenence or had some defect that affected the game. Overall a great place to play some games

A couple of the games were out of order but the guy was nice and it wasn't expensive. I didn't expect the place to be so small, but I understand there aren't a lot of things such as local arcades these days anymore. It's like they renovated the entrance of someone's house and put a bunch of games in it. Dance Revolution was fun.

What you would expect for a small, hometown used arcade. Prices are affordable for all day fun, $5/kid, $10/adult, and include unlimited play (no cost to play machines). Staff member was very friendly and helpful. Two restrooms, some seating available (upon request), and private party rentals. Several machines were out of order (which is pretty typical of any arcade game shop), but all in all, this a great place to hang out with the little kiddos (or big kiddos like yourself).

Love this place, very affordable. Plenty of games to keep kids entertained for a few hours.

Finding a genuine arcade these days is akin to stumbling across a unicorn. The blanket all-day, all-you-can-play admission fee is a bargain at $10 for what you get. As someone who travels long distances to visit arcades and locally owned retro game stores, I can't recommend Fireball Arcade enough. The space isn't huge but it has a great mixture of game cabinets from mostly the 80s and 90s. I especially appreciated the addition of late 90s titles such as Marvel Vs Capcom and Street Fighter III: Double Impac

Spent a couple hours here enjoying the pinball and videogames. It was a good price for all you can play. Its located near restaurants and other stores so it's a great addition to any exploration day of Front Royal. If you love pac man, 90s fighting games or just a lover of pinball this is the place for you.

A pleasant way to spend 2 hours and $10. I had way too much fun on the pinball machines. Do I know what I'm doing? Nope. Is it fun anyway? Yup. The tide of people ebbed and waned as I played. Sometimes it was just our little duo playing and sometimes it was a fair amount of people. Appreciate the inexpensive sodas and snacks too.

What a great idea! Our kids (range 5 to 15) all loved it and the wife and I had some great battles over skee-ball (sp?) and pinball. Plus, it was great to watch the teenager struggle at the old games. Everyone should stop by here.

My daughter rented the place for my granddaughter?s birthday party. Lots of 80?s and 90?s arcade games. Family fun

I had a lot of fun at Fireball Arcade. A great value for only $10 for an adult to play all day. They allow you to leave and come back the same day. The Star Wars Trilogy game was worth the price alone for me. Though, I wasn't thrilled with the pinball selection. I get the 80s vibe, but that Star Wars game isn't from the 80s. I think any pinball machine feels like the 80s so some newer ones would be nice. They have a spot to hang jackets in the back by the bathrooms. The bathrooms were in great shape.

Best 3 hours I have spent having fun for a while. Family and I had planned to go to a festival but with it raining all day this was a much better option. Steve the owner was very friendly and made my family and i feel welcomed in his establishment. Very clean machines with most of them in working order. All of my family had positive things to say about this arcade and we are interested in returning.

We came down to the area to go to Shenandoah for our anniversary and this was honestly the highlight of our weekend. $10 for free play all day! A great variety of games as well :)

Old school nostalgic fun, kids loved it and it took me back to my childhood. Great set of games to play

We had our daughter's birthday party here. The owner was prompt in answering questions via FB messenger. He and his employee were helpful and did their best to assure everyone had a good time. Even partnering some of the kids in two player games. Everyone had a great time. You won't run out of different games to try! The price was extremely reasonable for having the whole place to yourself. Many of our guests said they would be back again!

Best 80?s themed Arcade in the area. The budget friendly family entertainment is perfect for all ages. $10 for adults and $5 for children over 6 years old and Veterans or First Responders is a deal. No need to bring quarters! Dog friendly. Limited parking in front of arcade and more parking in back by the Beer Museum. Plenty of games and a good variety of fun. ********Updated Hours********Open Wednesday - Friday 7-11 PM Saturday and Sunday 1-10 PM

Really great experience! Old school arcade, just like my mispent youth (and only a quarter just like my youth ??)! Really looking forward to visiting again soon!

I absolutely love this place! I have been here twice now and it is worth the 45 min drive from Gainesville. This place is a blast from the past and they have so many awesome games to bring back some nostalgia. This place is great for all ages! The $10 entrance fee is new but definitely more than worth it! The staff is absolutely amazing and so nice! Becky was wonderful and would assist us quickly if we needed help. My family will be back again soon.

What an incredible place, 10$ all day play is absolutely mind boggling and one heck of a deal. I've been looking for an arcade that has more vintage machines and Fireball Arcade in Front Royal, VA has just that. I took my daughter and she absolutely loved it! I highly recommend for anyone who's chasing that vintage arcade nostalgia.

My daughter go here every so often to hang out and play some old school games. There is no time limit to how long you can stay or how many credits you get included in the door fee. Staff is-- well they are present. The games are not always working all the way or at all. The range of games is rather niche, sure there are some old school classics, but also B squad games. All on all it's a pretty neat spot. Also birthdays parties are catered there so that might be a solid cheap option. Go check it out.

Took the fam to fireball arcade to have some fun and not break the bank! Mission accomplished! We had a blast at this arcade! The employees were super helpful and were playing super fun 80s music videos! This place is packed with nostalgia and has a super fun vibe. Some of the machines glitch but the employees quickly fix them! Great place for some family fun! Not to mention this was the only shop on Main Street open everything else was closed due to some snow ??. Thanks for the good time!

Where to start, I'm ashamed I hadn't discovered this place sooner. It is truly a blast from the past from the moment you walk in. You walk in and it's like you're back in the 80s! Great selection of games and awesome era appropriate music. The lady in charge was very friendly and welcoming. I wish them the best and hope they stay in business for decades to come!

Great place to kill a few hours playing old school video games. Great prices... Pay one price and free play all games all day.

Super cool place! Went last night with my family and as soon as we walked in the owner turned on the black light's for us and the kid's thought it was the coolest thing! It's nice to have an affordable activity for the whole family! Every game is only 25 cents. We will definitely be repeat customer's! P.s. I read on a poster on the door they do birthday party's for 30 bucks an hour. Amazing price compared to chuckie cheese!

Ended up coming here while we were visiting Front Royal. This place is AWESOME!!!!! The owner is a great guy, & the games are so fun!!! You can lose track of time with how many games there are to play. You can't beat it for the money, not to mention in the shooting games you can just keep getting more guys when you get killed....lol.

Family fun! The arcade was clean, with plenty of hand sanitizer; bathrooms also very clean. Nice assortment of pinball machines, more machines in there than I expected! Only negative, was the broken air hockey game, but, these things happen. Otherwise, all other machines where in working order. Staff was very friendly and helpful, stamped our hands as soon as we entered, Incase, we wanted to take a break and walk through town. IThe arcade has a set cost per day, so no need for quarters. Looking forwar

Such a great spot in town! My boys and I love going and the owners are amazing. All the games are $0.25 so $20 let's us play for hours! Lots of great original 80s and 90s games.

Love this place and my kids have a great time too ;) Good for 5 and up or tech friendly 4 year olds.

This is truly a highlight of downtown Front Royal! Such a great collection of vintage arcade games and friendly staff. This place will take you back to your childhood. Some games break because they are vintage but there are so many to choose from. Call first if you have your heart set on a particular game. And I love the 80's music videos! A true blast from the past!

Outstanding! So cool to play an arcade game with my wife. Just a cup full of quarters and memories from being a kid!

Great place to play classic arcade games. Don't let the photos fool you there's a lot more games there now then before. This place has vintage pinball machines, 3 to 4 different Pac-Man arcade games, and much more to choose from. Hoping they can get their Star Wars arcade game up and running because I have been looking everywhere for this game and can't find it any where else. All in all this is a great place to spend a couple hours reliving the arcade games you fell in love with long ago.

Fun place with lots of classic games. It's definitely small and not all the games work so don't go in expecting Dave and busters but still great and would go back again!

I'm absolutely smitten with this place. After a night at the brewery, my sister and I had stumbled on this place. It's small but brings out all the nostalgia. Very comfortable environment to hang out.

It's been a few months since we've been here. It's a fun place to hang out, was there with the kids. They can't wait to go back. Once covid is under control. It will be nice for kids to go and socialize.

A fun, retro arcade with classic video games and pinball. A recent layout change enhanced the flow through the arcade, Also paying a single fee for unlimited use of the facility is really convenient and a nice way to try out games you might not normally. Fun!

This is a great place to hang out with your friends and a great place to hang out with your kids with classic arcade games and pin ball, Ive spent hours there and always look forward to going back. This is one of my favorite spots in town.

Very friendly! Feels like I'm back in the 80?s at Lindenhurst youth center... ?25 plays, keeps kids/adults busy for hours. 80?s MTV brings it all home... thanks for the fun times #SupportLocal

truly one of the best arcades I've been to. cheap entry price, free games and all day entry. absolutely phenomenal place to go with friends or family.

Loved this place. First time visiting. Play all day for one price, AND pinball machines!! I felt like I was a teen again

These folks work hard to keep kids 9ff the street, and huge collection of old games going strong. The pinball selection is amazing, and who else can keep you and a few kids entertained for a hour for 10 bucks? No one.

Great place and great price, kids love it and we love the retro games!

You can't beat an '80s themed arcade where you can play any game you want, as many times you want (which includes you leaving and coming back in on that same day no extra charge) all for $10! And veterans get it all for only $5! Galaga, Pac Man, Tekken; All Eighties! Check this place out for real!

Just had my son's 15th birthday party here. I highly recommend. The kids and adults all had a great time!

Cool place for us 80's kids!! Definitely recommend! All the CLASSIC GAMES!!

Absolutely amazing place, the owner and his wife are amazing people and I've got nothing but positive reviews for it. Great music, fun games, definitely a good place to be??

Awesome place. Brings back memories when I was a kid. Now, I can share something with my kids that my parents shared with me. Best of all, everything is a quarter. Can't beat it!

We recently revisited Fireball Arcade and my family loved the changes made to the admission and arcade use. Now you only have to pay $10 for adults, $5 for veterans and $5 for kids.

There was a mix of games and enjoyed Transformers pinball very much. Small arcade with good energy. Came during tournament and fun to see the competitive spirit.

A lovely place, a real sense of community here. ??We always enjoy being here and the kids go gaga for the games.

Great place to dump the kids. They love it, parents love it and you can't beat the price.

This place was awesome, the owner was super friendly, $10 to play all day, with a wide variety of classics

I take my kids to Fireball Arcade every Saturday. 25 cent games, classic pinball machines, friendly staff. It's my favorite place to go in the evening in Front Royal.

Very good local arcade, you just pay to enter - it is definitely worth it if you plan on spending a while in there.

Flashback! Great games from a wonderful Era. Nice staff. Anyone who grew up in the 80s and on you will be pleasantly happy.

My kids love this place! Very inexpensive and very well kept!

Great Games, Great Atmosphere and Great Staff. I loved the patience the staff showed to my 2 autistic boys and How kind they were!!!

Locally owned and operated by a veteran who thought kids should have something to do outside of hanging out online. So very cool.

Cozy arcade in downtown with a nice assortment of games and a nostalgic 80's atmosphere. Several of the cabinets were under maintenance when I went, looking forward to coming back.

It's a lot of fun, all games are 25 cents and my family of four spent $8.00 in one hour playing nonstop.

Great to have someplace like this in our town! When I went alot of machines were out of order, but price was right and we still had a ball!

Great place my wife and myself wanted to show are son what it was like in the 80s and he loved it. Thank you and I hope you will be here for a long time.

Very close to the Gazebo parking area. A lot of different types of games. Every game is a quarter which is cool.

Amazing place. Brought my friends here and we had a blast.

Great family experience. Something for everyone!

i thought that shooting fireballs were allowed here but apparently they didn't have the proper fireproofing and i set the place on fire on accident and they banned me

Super fun old school arcade where you pay one price to play all day

Great value. Packed full of the classics it was like going back in time 25 years.

So much fun (as an adult) to pop in with my husband and challenge a few rounds and games!

Awesome owner Awesome games. Awesome some arcades are still around. Relive my youth

super affordable and a fun place to spend your weekend

The Historic District has their own Arcade! #FireballArcade

Because of a birthday party, every game we played was free!

It was really fun but lots of the games where out of order

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
