????? I recently hosted a private event for my team at Fare Game, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Angel, the manager, was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Lynn, Paul and CJ, who were all so welcoming and made us feel right at home. My team of 30 had an absolute blast, and we couldn't stop raving about the delicious pizzas?they were to die for! The best part? They even boxed up ext
Took my son to play games while i had a couple beers. Great time, great pizza, great atmosphere, great service and reasonable prices. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is there were zero TVs for me to watch football. Besides that love this place and so did my son. Updated: giving 5 stars now. Not only did they get tvs but my bartender Voltaire ( Sp?) was awesome. Great suggestions and very knowledgeable about the menu (expedition pizza was on point) and very friendly. Will definitely keep coming back.
We had to pull together a last minute birthday party and Fare game made it happen. We needed seating for 20 people and they delivered! I can't thank everyone enough for making our party a success. The manager, Angel, was phenomenal as was the service. Thank you again for making today special for my son. You all are wonderful and I'll keep you in mind for future parties!
We tried Fare Game tonight. My wifes pizza (Expedition) was delicious. I had the JoCo's finest which was like going to Jones but the hot dog on a pizza. Good draft beers (12 on tap). Staff were great. Very friendly and informative. Bartender Voltaire was amazing. If you're downtown stop by and give them a try.
We came here today for my daughters 9th birthday and I was blown away with how amazing the staff, cooks, and GM was. We were immediately greeted and taken care of!! I highly recommend coming here!!
It wasn't terrible. I will definitely be back but I will day the bartender with the ponytail seemed to pick and choose who he was friendly with. He engaged and talked with some. For me and others ?everybody good over here?? It wasn't a bad experience but it was definitely an experience where maybe during the week I'll like it more.
This place is amazing! Such a great addition to Downtown Clayton! Video games aren't 100% my thing but are fun for family and friends. However?the pizza is 100% legit. Such creative menu items and by far the best ?non-traditional? pizza in the area. The staff is always so helpful too!
Speaks for itself! Great pizzas and chill environment. My spot when I come downtown Clayton. Ask for Angel at the bar!
Great little local spot. much fun, i enjoyed it. bartender/manager ?Angel? was not the best. ignored us and then split 2 shot into 3 and wanted to charge us full price for all 3 shots! shady to say the least. so afterwards we went to another bar and spent over $200. his loss! but very chill spot otherwise!!
Pizza ?? Drinks ?? Atmosphere ?? Games ?? Date Day ?? We will be repent offenders ??. We had a blast! It wasn't pricey! They have awesome specials! We got 80 tokens for $20. We spent about hour and half there and brought home about 20 tokens. Favorite games: Pac-Man & skee ball Favorite Drink: B.O.O.T Favorite Pizza: The Expedition
Location is not handicapped accessible. No spaces in front or back of the location for a wheelchair. I had to ask a complete stranger to help lift a wheelchair onto the back patio and to push the wheelchair through the thick rocks in the back of building. Disabled wheelchair bound people must not come here.
Sweet arcade bar that just opened up. The pizzas are unique and they look delicious. We had Jocos finest, wow it exceeded all expectations. They have a great variety of games. It's worth the trip.
The Grandma pizza is great, but the Pick-Y People pickle pizza is THE best!!! Fun, nostalgic games, great claw machine prizes, and delicious food.
This is a fun, spotlessly clean pizza joint with great beers on tap and bottled. But the very best part is the strippers dancing on the bar! They haven't been there any of the times we've been there but we are always told they are en route! If you get a chance ask for Destiny to be your bartender, she is fantastic!
Had a great little visit on Cinco de Mayo. The games were fun and reasonably priced. The drinks and service were friendly and fast. We will be back to try the food!
Nice venue, but they stop admitting anyone under age at a silly early time (like 8pm? Can't remember). Maybe its a town ordinance or something. Mixed drinks are bad. Games are fun but limited. Pizzas are cooked the right way, which is hard to find anywhere, but the flavor was unimpressive. Maybe it would be better ordering plain pepperoni instead of one of their fancy ones.
Had a great time here on a date night with my wife! The Bambi bites (pretzel bites) were tasty and the pizza we had (pickle based) was really different and yummy. Skiball was fun and played lots of air hockey. Will definitely go back again!
I appreciate the variety in their food menu. Not just a basic pizza menu. The flavors are interesting and unique. Our favorite is the pizza with hot honey pepperoni. They have the essential arcade games (time crisis, racing games, pinball, skeeball, basketball, guitar hero, air hockey, some joystick games).
Pizza and drinks are great, the games suck. Skeeball doesnt give u a full game, it stops keeping score after the 3rd ball, as is the same for basketball..wont be back.
A friend and I went for an early birthday celebration and we had the best time! The pizza was delicious - and I was so thankful to see a gluten free crust option! I got the Cosmo on Ice as well and it was so good! The games are all fun - from old school to newer stuff. I'll definitely be back!
This place is great with a good selection of games and beverages. PLEASE consider installing acoustic panels. It's so loud you can barely talk to someone right in front of you. I had to yell for the bartender to hear my order. A small investment in accoustic panels would go a long way to making it more comfortable.
This is such a fun addition to downtown Clayton. My husband and I visited on a Saturday around noon with our two boys. This barcade/restaurant was really well-executed; It was easy to figure out how to play the games and order food + drinks. The pizza was actually good, and we appreciated the easy, self-serve access to water. There was a great selection of games that were all in working order, and my 8 and 4 year old were able to navigate them without much parental assistance. The atmosphere is really nice
Super fun place to hang out and play arcade games. Food is delicious and drinks are fairly priced.
We love this place. We have visited a few times now and excited to have it so close to home. The pizzas are very unique and of course you can't go wrong with Deep River beer! We will have our adult and kids birthday parties here going forward. Also, the staff is great, especially Angel. Definitely do yourselves a favor and check this place out!
Pizza was great. Staff are all very nice and accommodating. $1 per game? Ehhh pinball ain't that fun. It's a bar first and games fifth. It's difficult to justify staying longer if a game lasts for such a short amount of time. However, in this economy I just hope you all do well and continue to improve.
Our family members met here for an "old school" video games outing. We enjoyed it, the beer was good and the pizza was excellent from their stone oven! Good selection of video and other games. Fun had by all.
I hosted a work event on the back patio and we all had a great time! The staff was very accommodating and helpful while planning and everyone loved the food and games - even the young kiddos that tagged along. Great place for a fun family night or hanging out with friends/co-workers!
This place is the best!! Great peeps. Great attention. Amazing! You gotta make it out here if you have to have a good time. Family friendly!!
Best wood fired pizza in the triangle. Very polite staff and great place to enjoy some games and drinks. We come quite often
This is one of the coolest places to open up here in Clayton. I had so much fun here when I visited with my husband! The pizza isn't your average low-quality arcade pizza; with how delicious it is, it's clear they work hard to earn your dollar. It's a small arcade, but you'll find you get the big arcade experience. It is slightly more expensive to play here than at some other arcade bars, but not exorbitantly so. Thanks, Fare Game, for a very fun evening!
This place is just.. WOW always a positive experience here!! I went today for some cheeseburger pizza (which was so delicious!) for lunch. I didn't want alcohol because I had some work meetings afterwards, the bartender heard me and suggested making me a mock tail that turned out to be DELICIOUS!! Such caring people here. I 100% recommend Fare Game for everyone in the Triangle and beyond.
Loving this place! Such a fun place to take kids that's still fun for adults. The food is exceptional which was not expected knowing other barcade foods. Very open space with a great outside area as well. We take our 6 month old who loves the lights and all the noises
Wow. Was really looking forward to trying out this place. Save your money and drive to Raleigh for a friendlier experience. We put coins in a few machines and the games did not work. What's the worst was the customer service. Don't you dare drop a glass by accident and clean it it up to be nice... You will not be served anymore. The staff need better training on customer service if your going to stay open long.
Pizza is out of this world. A high temp pizza oven and good ingredients make all the difference, perfect char. Bar is insanely clean and laid out well. Bartenders all worked like a team and hardly no wait for how busy it was. The games are an awesome addition to Clayton?s growing event scene.
Great place to play games and eat. Food was great. Just wish they had beatem up games!
I can't begin to explain how amazing this place is!!! We were lucky to get here before the public really finds out about this gem. Tons of games. Modern bar. Outstanding food. And let's be honest, if it wasn't for the charismatic bar tender ?B? and his compadre Angel the night would have only been a 10/10. But because of them, it was a solid 11. Lg.
The Pizzas are incredible, made fast and delicious. The topping selections are awesome; classics get a fresh twist and the specials you won't find anywhere else. I really like the Southbound and Down and the Lady Bro, but all of the other premium pies are an interesting new take on pizza without getting *too* out there. The entire menu is worth trying and it comes out fast so you won't wait long to do so! The drinks are great- the establishment is partnered with Deep River so half the taps come from just do
Clayton really needed this place. I went in shortly after they opened and fell in love with the place. By far one of the best staffs I have ever seen. From the bartender, to the cooks, to the machine guru. Sam, Sam#2, Jake, Angel, PJ, are awesome people and very accomidating to customers. Pizzas are to die for. Very original. The mac and cheese hits different, in a good way. Love the selection of games and the fact that they actually require tokens!!!
This place is so fun!!! Honestly, what makes it better than barcades in Raleigh is the bartenders! Specifically B!!! I never had to wait for a drink and they were SO GOOD! He hustles for sure but still takes the time to talk and be personal. Customer service that I feel is lacking from most places. I'll be back on the nights he is working!
Atmosphere 5 ,staff 5, food 5, service 5 Cannot think of anything that they could of have done more for me the day I came in. A for effort in every aspect. Keep it up!
Such a fun experience here! Our bartender Trevor really knew how to take care of us and his vibes were amazing, such a kind happy guy! Definitely will be a go to spot!
Checked out the new barcade and was intrigued by their food menu. Bigger menu than most bars so it feels like you can just come for the food if that's your thing. lots of local beers on tap too. Brandon greeted us at the bar and gave us the low-down as first-timers: pizza recommendations, game recommendations, even gave us a dollar in coins to try out the Foo Fighters pinball machine (we ended up spending another $10 in games afterwards). We got food, Brandon sold us his killer margaritas ?? and was just o
This place is awesome... I'll start by saying I go to Barcades a few times a month, mainly for pinball but I enjoy other games too. For some reason, I assumed being in Clayton it would just be "alright", and the kind of place I'd go on occasion when I didn't want to drive into Raleigh. But I was wrong, in fact, I will rarely be going to Raleigh anymore. I was very surprised by all of the games they have along with the condition. Its not uncommon to see a skee ball machine that needs some work, or Pinball ma
It had guitar hero. 10/10 Really recommend for anyone who want to play games or hang out. Look for my guitar hero expert high scores.
The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are great, but you have to try the especially pizza. Good set up and location.
Great experience. Good food, great drinks, great atmosphere, fair priced games
Chill spot. Good addition to downtown. Glad to see Clayton growing and making downtown a fun place to hangout. Games are a little pricey, but worth checking out if you're looking for something to do.
Very cool place. Had a lot of fun here. The pizza oven is a serious piece of hardware, next time we're in town we will be back.
Love this place! Great food, great service from great people, great games!
Place was clean and the layout of the bar and arcade games was nice. My only two complaints was the Deep River Kolsch tasted like straight carbonation. The Bar tenders were great. Don't think I will be back unless they fix how loud this place echoes I don't think they will. I have another complaint I don't won't to post it here cause I don't want the place to get in trouble.
I love their selection of games, and I really enjoyed the pinball machines. The beer was ice cold. The pizza was incredibly bad. It tasted like someone poured sugar all over it. It's entirely too sweet. They should use that fancy pizza heater for totinos pizza. Here's a small list of pizza-like things that are better: pizza pockets, pizza rolls, pizza at Shakey's Pizza in Olongapo City Philippines, pizza lunchables, ketchup on crackers. We didn't try any other food. No sweet tea.
This place is a fantastic addition to downtown Clayton! We visited during the family hours. I highly recommend checking it out. Food is great. Kids had a blast! Staff is friendly and accommodating. What are you waiting for? Go check this place out!
Love this place! If you're looking for something different, this is it! Great service, great food and even had GF Crust that my wife and daughter could enjoy Games were super fun and atmosphere was enjoyable!
A nice place with improvements to be made. Will definitely be back in the future and improve the rating if they improve. Half the machines tell you how many tokens they need half don't, me and my father tried the pinball machines and the coins were inconsistent. The machines just said 0/1 and he inserted one token and was able to play, mine also said 0/1 but I had to insert 4 tokens to play. Then next round my father needed 2. Most other machines clearly started how many tokens they need on the screen but t
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Fare Game! They have a self order kiosk for food, which was cool. There was also the option to order online, following a QR code. The following games were available when I went 05/29/2024: Classic Arcade Ms PAC Man/Galaga Donkey Kong junior Centipede Joust NBA Jam Session Pinball Jaws The Munsters Foo Fighters Deadpool Elvis House of Horrors Guardians of the Galaxy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Venom Claw machines Toy Soldier (stuffed octopi) Toy Soldier (stuffed animals)
This place is awesome! Great drink prices, friendly staff, awesome nightly deals. Our favorite date night spot to have some fun!
Staff was great. Voltaire and Angel are awesome. The one thing this place needs is TVs. Other than that it will be perfect.
Great food, drinks, and games. Voltaire, behind the bar, was a great bartender and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend this spot.
Highly recommend! Great, unique pizza. Friendly staff. Cool atmosphere.
Just what downtown Clayton needed. Food was a nice twist from the traditional options. The gluten-free option was delish.
Awesome atmosphere and amazing food! The bartender B did not disappoint with his margaritas!
Love this place!! Even brought my 70ish old mom there to play skee ball. She loved it and said my Dad would have loved it there too
First time there and the service was amazing! Trevor, the bartender was excellent. Very friendly and great service!
Family atmosphere. Kids win prizes, small lil arcade and pizza good. Nice sitting outside
Great food, great service and an all around fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Great family place. Terrific pizza ad beer.
I went there for the games, and I will be going back for the food! Fantastic place, awesome atmosphere
Awesome place, the staff is super friendly
Voltaire made our afternoon wonderful. Great drinks and conversation
Great games, and a great time! Good variety of games and the service was awesome.
Awesome place, lots of great working pinball machines! Great location downtown.
This place reminded me of my childhood at the arcade. Thank you for bringing this vibe to Clayton.
Kids had a great time!
This place is awesome, so cool that Clayton has something like this. The games are all over the place ... we'll be back!
Absolutely amazing food and environment. Great addition to downtown clayton
Great pizza, fantastic games, and awesome service!!!
The staff needs to be replaced. I have never been treated so rudely.
great atmosphere and the best customer service from B!
Friendly staff and unique menu items!
Good crust. Has galaga.
Awesome place to take the whole fam!
Place is awesome, B is the man!!
This place is fire, Clayton needed a place like this.
Great games and drinks
Nice to have something new and fun in Clayton. Great time!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
