Walking into Eric?s Retro Arcade is like stepping into a Time Machine! Every game is meticulously restored and maintained to keep its original glory. Eric is truly passionate about his games. He greets every customer, giving a feeling that you are important to him. For an entry fee of $15 with unlimited play, it is truly a bargain. My middle school aged son said experiencing Eric?s Retro Arcade is better than playing his PlayStation! Thank you, Eric, for sharing your hobby with us!
What an absolute cool experience to bring my kids too. Wall to wall games just like in the old days. Owner is super nice and you can tell his he has so much passion getting and restoring old games so they can be enjoyed again.
Era is incredible!!! I definitely recommend this if your looking for a early 80?s-mid 90?s arcade experience it made me feel alive compared to a few other retro arcades I've been to their usually boring but ERA was incredible the owner is nice and I know him now! And the environment is incredible I definitely recommend going there if you're into retro arcade gaming like me a kid born in the 2000?s but grew up making it like the 80?s! And I got to see NBA JAM glitch out!!! Overall ERA gets the best review po
Eric the owner is a super cool guy. We went for a birthday party and this place did not disappoint. Pretty fun playing all the retro arcade games. Take your kids or your parents, everyone is going to have fun.
I brought my super picky 10 year old to Eric's Retro Arcade a week ago, and here we are, back again just a week later. As an elder millennial, walking in their door the first time was like taking a step back in time. The bright neon lights reflecting off the CRT screens and chiptunes ringing in the air. The owner welcomed us with a warm smile, explained how things worked and off we were. I had no intentions of indulging myself, however, when we reached the back of the arcade, I spotted the N64. I turned rig
This place is great and I will be coming back! Seeing my kids play some old school gamer stuff was awesome.
If I had to describe this place in one word I would say INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Walking into there for the first time yesterday was like being a kid in a candy store!!! The vibe is awesome and it feels like taking a step back into the 80s. I have always wanted a place like this since I was kid and this place delivers big time. The layout is well thought out and the selection is awesome!!!! The owner, Eric, is a fantastic dude that has a passion you can feel the moment you start talking to him!!! My girlfriend and
Comfortable way to enjoy an evening activity. Local and welcoming environment with plenty of different retro games to enjoy!
Went to this place for the first time today and I had a blast! There is a great collection of old school arcade games to play and the price per person is extremely reasonable. It is nice to know that I don't have to keep pumping tokens into the machines if I repeatedly lose. ?? The owner is also very friendly. I had the pleasure of speaking with him today. You can tell that he is very proud of the business he created. It makes me happy that was able to support his business and I will continue to do so
This is an awesome place. I expected to run into the older nostalgic crowd but I was pleasantly surprised to see kids and adults alike. The selection of games is excellent and will transport you back to a simpler time of trying to beat each other?s high score. The owner Eric was available the entire time I was there. He was talking with customers and really passionate about the games. Pay one price and play all you want for the entire time they're open for that day. You could leave and come back and still b
Eric?s Retro Arcade isn't just an arcade?it's a time machine. Our family has been to countless places that claim to have an "arcade". Most end up being a few claw machines, ticket spitting games, and some shooters & racers. But Eric?s Retro Arcade? This place gets it right. From the second you walk in, it's clear you're somewhere special?retro carpet, neon signs, LED marquee's, and a giant high-score board set the tone immediately. And then the games? wall-to-wall authentic upright arcade cabinets, in gre
Eric orders new games often for his game room. He is awesome keeping up with the maintenance of all his games. He also makes sure all his games is warm up and ready to go when he opens. The customers are completely satisfied and love bringing their friends and family to spend quality fun time with memories.
Brought my niece and nephew in to experience. It was a great time, a variety of games, and the vibe was amazing. We stayed for several hours playing but definitely did not feel like a few hours. I know Eric put alot work into this dream and he killed it! Congrats and keep gaming!
We hosted a Christmas party at the arcade and the whole group really enjoyed it. There's a table in the back room next to the console game for setting up food, and the games are all free-play so just check in and start playing. The nearby pizza shop has a discount for Eric's customers, so be sure to check with Eric before ordering pizza!
Great little place. Owner is Super cool. Very friendly and inviting. Let us tour the place before purchasing and let my lady stay even though she wasn't playing.
Great trip down memory lane. Only thing missing is songs from Journey or Hall and Oats blasting from the speakers. Great place to bring the family or most definitely. Friends who appreciate the vibe.
Eric's a great guy with a great gig with this great arcade. For me personally, it's a dream come true to be able to go to a retro arcade. In short: AWESOME! Will go again.
Nice little arcade! Thank you! It was great interacting with you. OK? I'm glad you liked my voice impressions and conversations about 80s and 90s crap. See ya next time! Your Friend, Cruise The Autistic Boy
Eric is super passionate about all the games in his arcade. The place takes you right back in time, and it's a shame I haven't discovered this place sooner.
The only place to visit for the greatest line up of games in Rochester NY in my opinion. Eric is an amazing host and owner...highly recommended :)
My family went to Eric?s during Winter break! Great games and fun atmosphere. We are definitely going back!
Really affordable & family friendly. The owner is very passionate & polite. 10/10 recommend
Great place, cozy, clean, very friendly owner with a clear passion for games. Fantastic for old school gaming vets to feel like it's the 80s/90s again.
Great place! The owner is very friendly and the games were a lot of fun. Wonderful place to take the family.
Awesome place ! The interaction with the customers is top notch ! He has live feeds and videos on Facebook
Amazing place. What's even better is the family atmosphere and guest service. Eric and his family are incredibly
My boys had a great time!! So much fun and The owner is great ??
Awesome place to relive your youth
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
