Didn't have any of the food, but you can bring in your own food in if you having a party. Drinks are drinking, they was good and strong but flavorful. They are a good prices for the Drinks. Also very packed, and it was a long for also every game. It was taken tokens and not letting you play certain games. The DJ was good and I just wish she just played certain song through without going over the beat. All the games are retro, also beautiful graffiti on the walls
Awesome place with a great vibe. I didn't get to eat anything but the drinks were very good. Bartenders were on point and quick with the service. The photo booth was cool, and having movies play on the big screen was also cool. My only issue is i wish there were multiples of certain games. For example, there were only two basketball games, so if 2 people were playing already, you would have to wait, so when I went, there were lines forming for some of the games. Also, one of my favorite games to play was br
We held our company party at this place. I was one of the guest DJs. This place has it all. The games, the bar, the dance space and of course the stage. We enjoyed it all. The staff were all cool especially the sound and lighting tech. I can't wait to come back.
A cool blend of bar and arcade, this place is huge and has plenty of options for games. The drinks were alright. Be aware: When I was last here, some of the machines weren't functional even if they looked like they were, and they ate our tokens without a refund.
Emporium arcade bar is great but not on the weekend! The music was way too loud, but I did like the array of songs that the DJ played! There should be some type of limit on how long people can play certain games because there were people hogging the pool table for way too long and there is no enforcement so they could just stay there for a long time?. I love the multilevel aspect and I love how they play different films to go along with the DJ set. It really adds to the vibe! It's great that they have no co
I loved this place.. "I was truly impressed by how amazing this place is, offering a perfect blend of old-school classics and exciting new games for everyone to enjoy. The pricing is fantastic, making it accessible for all ages. Just remember to bring your passport to get in!"
Had a great time. Music was good. Just pay attention to some of the machines, some of them ate our coins.
This was a great location to hang out with friends. Enjoyed great tasting drinks and loved the variety of games available! What a great location and so much fun. They have security at the door and bags were checked. I had to leave my bottled water outside but was able to pick it up when I left. I definitely want to visit here again!
I love coming to this arcade?it's always such a fun time! Even if you're not playing games, you can still run around and enjoy yourself like a kid again. The only thing I'd love to see is more access to hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes throughout the space. That small addition would make the experience even better!
THIS PLACE IS FIRE. YOU WILL NOT BEAT IT. Rave nights are amazing and they play old timer movies(WarGames, Final Destination, etc) movies of that genre. It deserves a Neon Sign that illuminates it outside. If I become a tech billionaire, I'd invest in that for them. It's well deserved. My dad's old timer favorite game, Defender, is still in there, I play it once every time I'm in there.
Emporium is a great place to have a fun evening with friends. They have tons of games and options for you to have a gala time with your friends. They maintain it quite well, the service is amazing and the ambience is nice. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants a little fun in their lives with people you love.
It has a DDR arcade and a bunch of retro arcades plus some modern ones. Also pool tables, air hockey, futbolitos (soccer game).
First time in Emporium, and it was a vibe. There are fewer games than I expected considering the amount of space available. But the game selection was pretty decent, ranging from old school 80's consoles to more modern games. The upstairs balcony area was nice and uninhibited when I visited. Overall, it's not too bad, but the sheer level of noise can be a bit overwhelming. The crowd was varied, and I saw people from all walks of life hanging out. I'll definitely return.
This place was a blast! My wife and I were in town only for a couple of days and wanted to check out an arcade bar and this checked every box, it was a little difficult to get to because there's no place to park specifically for this business, so we had to walk a few blocks, but once we found a spot we were able to have a great time and enjoy a couple of delicious drinks. 100% percent recommended!
Amazing barcade. James is the man. He got me my phone back before an international flight, after a particularly wild night. Give these good people your money. (Also everything was truly off the hook. Not just saying that!)
I love how open the bar and arcade are with an awesome variety of old school arcade games and drinks. The second floor is a nice spot to chill and to watch whatever is playing on the tv?s/projector. Definitely worth planning a night out with friends and hitting this place up.
This spot is right next to the Independent so I was hanging out there before a show. I like that they have plenty of restrooms. The games are coin operated, lots of old pinball and other classic arcade games. A couple games are my coins but overall it was cool. I would come back again with friends so I could get on the pool table, air hockey, foos ball.
Places is poppn. And the staff there are 5 star. No food but there is food truck outside. Definitely recommended. Pool tables are free. If you read this and see me there, come say "HIGH" and I'll buy you a drink.
We went here to celebrate my friend?s birthday, and everything turned out perfect. Everyone was happy, we laughed, played, and everyone found something they enjoyed.
My friends and I were doing an SF bars tour and ended our night dancing at Emporium SF!! We always love to dance!! My friends are great dancers, even better when there's great music!! It was low key and not too crowded, so it was perfect for us!! Just vibing!! Thanks Emporium!!?? I had a few others hit me up in my ig asking about this place!! We'll all be out that way again soon!!????????
Cane by on a Tuesday night for a pinball league. A great spot to come for date night or with a big group of people. The machines all take tokens instead of quarters. The drinks were surprisingly good. We enjoyed a slushie and mule. It gets pretty loud in there with all of the games and music, would probably bring some sort of ear plugs to dim the noise next time. I've been before on the weekend and it was very busy, definitely recommend a week night to get to enjoy all the games without lines.
First of all it's Free! Did you get that? Free Wi-Fi, free entertainment, free water, plenty of seating, capacity 900 ?? lots of charging stations omg bathrooms, in this city lol. The staff let's just say they could supervise a mental house and I'd fit right in lol. There was a wedding party last night for one of there staff and the atmosphere couldn't have been more festive there was plenty of love to go around. Haven't said enough lol just go there and yes they server alcohol and non alcoholic beverages.
Gotta take a star off of atmosphere just because it's goddamn loud but I wanted to give security here a shout out. Just witnessed a fairly decent sized fight between four or five people and the security handled it great. Tried to usher people out, tried to deescalate, tried to separate the two factions, got shoved around a bit but kept their cool and got everyone in the group out to let them hash it out on the street. I'm sure they were frustrated as hell but managed to get everyone out despite a lot of eye
very cute spot, the most fun ive had with $20 in a while. I have the frozen raspberry margarita and was pretty good too. Some games were a little outdated but still worth a shot *pool tables are free* but shhhh Will return again for sure
This place is so much. O lot of nostalgia and the games are really cheap. And the cocktails are AMAZING
Always love the emporium for a fun evening activity! Great spot for groups big or small, and very fun date night activity as well.
Very cool bar arcade!!!
Didn't try any food but the drinks were good, the games were fun but the counter on basketball is broken & air hockey shut off on us half way through one game it wasn't even 3 minutes but the plce was overall fun, great people, great atmosphere. Be careful which women's stalls you go in, one by a window lacks privacy.
My friend and I stumbled upon this place to kill some time before leaving San Francisco and it was definitely worth the stop! We had so much fun and wished we could stay longer! The bar arcade is set up with a bunch of classic arcade games and a few newer ones as well as some pool tables and shuffle board. We also loved the cool neon aesthetic and our drinks tasted good.
Went last night after dinner, got there just as the live dj was setting up! Of course we love the games but the drinks were greattt and so was the overall vibe! Music was fire too!!!
Super fun place to spend a little money. Not super expensive to play games but the drinks are pricey in my humble option. The space is amazing though definitely a good place for a date night or to hangout with your buddies. The guy at the door on Halloween was very nice too.
The games are cheap. Drinks cost about as much as any other bar. They always have movies playing with subtitles on. The staff is friendly. The arcade machine all worked and they have numbers to text if you have any issues.
Went there for a company party and had a ball. Filled with old school games, the ones I grew up with, pinball, air hockey, pool, etc etc. The layout was nice and the large movie screen adds a nice touch to your good times. We had unlimited tokens so I'm not sure of normal pricing or drink prices but I would go back to spend my own money for sure.
This is a cute bar. It definitely caters to the straight, tech bro community, but it is fun to go with a group. I went on the Friday night after Halloween, and it was pretty sparcely packed so it wasn't difficult to get a game in on even the most popular games. The music was great, although this is definitely not much of a dancing venue. Overall positive impression and would return with friends, although this is more of a stop along the way than a final destination.
Really love this venue, love the layout of this place. There are arcade games littered throughout, plus pinball machines, billiard tables, and even air hockey! All the games run off tokens which you can convert your bills and coins into tokens! Great late night too, usually a DJ on stage. The drinks are quite tasty too! Don't forget if there's some sort of event running there, there's usually cover as well.
I really really love this place, and they even have Joust! However, the player two flap button on the Joust machine has been broken for over a year with no fix. I've mentioned it to them a couple times. Good thing they have other great retro games: Galaga, Ms. PAC-Man, Tetris, etc. One of my favourite things about this place, is the sound system. BOOOMINGGGG! And what great music they play. Fun interior too; all dark with great art, including wall murals from Sam Flores. Well done overall, Emporium. Let me
The most fun I've had at a bar in San Francisco. Lots of fun machines to play, and a great vibe that encourages meeting some new people! The classic arcade machines are an absolute blast and the drinks are on point!
San Francisco abounds with entertainment options. It's the type of place you can enjoy solo or with children as part of a family trip. I visited here most recently with my family, but my wife and I made it a point to get away on our own at least once and one of the places we visited was The Emporium, an adult arcade. Walk inside The Emporium and you will notice a large movie screen on the back wall, an upper balcony, and seats that are curved and oriented toward the screen. It should be obvious that this w
Emporium is a very cool space with great beer options and great arcade games. However when we went for the Niners game last night and the speaker volume was unbelievably crazy loud. The stadium seating for the game was amazing for the big group I was with but everyone was complaining about the volume and how no one could talk without screaming. When we left all our ears were ringing.
This is a very cool, laid back place! It looks like something from the past as you walk through the neon paint under the black light towards a huge open space filled with air hockey, foosball, a shuffleboard, skee ball, pool tables, at least a dozen authentic, vintage, pinball machines all in perfect working order and even more classic arcade games from the past! I felt transported back to my teenage years with the same enthusiasm for the games except that the bonus was that it's a 21+ arcade so not only is
I love to be at the arcade these days! Love the pool and air hockey tables, on multiple levels. Good drinks as well. Also, love what's playing on the big screen, and the PC fighting games with arcade controllers sometimes. Unfortunately, too many of the machines are out service, including cool pinball machines like Rick & Morty. BTW, the drinks (dishes?!) list is out of date here on Google.
It's been a while since I've been here but I'm glad it's still lively and as much if not more than the last time I remember. Love the space, love the games, love the music and vibe. Yesterday everyone was in costume since it's Halloween weekend so the decorations were on point. Staff is dope from the security, bouncer and bartenders. Everyone is happy, I feel safe and noone is rude. The drinks are so dope. Creative and tasty. They aren't that far off from traditional cocktails but the different flavors a
I had been here twice on different occasions... Pretty cool arcade place in the heart of SF... It's really big in size and has a bunch of arcade gaming machines and the console in the center which is connected to the huge projector screen can be set up to play old multiplayer games which is nostalgic and pretty cool... Talk about 90s kids' wildest dreams... That's this place.
I like bars/arcades like this . But seems like more than half of the arcade machines were down or out of order. Unique place but needs more of the 'vibe' for another date here.
If you like games then you'll love emporium. They have a good mix of old-school arcade games, newer titles like Mario kart, and standard active games like basketball and just dance. They allow outside food and they have a great selection of drinks.
So much to see and do in this rad setting! Great music, atmosphere, games, great drinks, and amazing art!
Fun time! There was a guy who approached our group who was being a little aggressive. I flagged down security and they were super kind and got rid of the guy. Really appreciated them.
Beer, sports and old school arcade games?!? You had us at all three! We came here for Game 5 of the NBA Finals and it was an awesome place to be. It brought back some childhood memories when arcades used to be in the malls and we would just keep putting quarters into these machines. They have the foosball tables in the back and once you enter the building they have the shuffleboard. The place also has two floors. You must check it out! Just a side note: they will check bags before going in. Don't bring any
Really awesome place to hang with friends, and relive old school arcade games while having some drinks (full bar, beer, liquor). They allow food to be brought in. You can host/reserve parties there. It is treated as a bar, so 21 and up only. Some great SF artists also decorated the walls.
I went to an event here, and it was a real standout. Great drinks (loved the alcoholic slushies) and the selection of games was fantastic.
Emporium is great! The staff does a great beverage service. Our pinball tournaments are top-notch. The ambiance is always inviting.
Terrible cocktails in a crowded, confused atmosphere. It's more bar/club than arcade, but I felt the games kind of got in the way of it being a good club, and the club got in the way of it being a good arcade. Too many people in line to play the games. Not my favorite scene, but I can see why other people would enjoy it.
Keep in mind that this is a barcade, so make sure everyone's at least 21. Other than that, you'll have a great time playing classic pinball machines or things you would only find at laundromats.
Fun spot, great for crowds, music starts early, gets really crowded and really loud. You literally CANT HAVE A CONVO at 7pm. We only stayed for an hour cause it was just loud. But fun spot. Beer is good. Bathroom was meh for the way this place was build.
Nice selection of pinball machines in excellent shape and for a low price (.50? a game). Also got a decent amount of old arcade video games. Cannot comment on beverage or if they got any food since I haven't got any so far. Will come back for more pinball!
This place was SO FUN! We went on Halloween weekend and it was free play on half the games. Beers are decently priced and drinks are a little pricey. The tokens are also expensive but that's San Francisco what can you expect!
It's a fun place to visit and play games. Some of the machines doesn't work after putting in coins and have to wait quite a bit to get assistance. Haven't eaten here but the drinks are fine, nothing fancy.
Great ambience, comfortable and clean. There's ID check up front and alcoholic drinks are sold. Many retro arcade games like street fighter, space invader or puzzle bobble to relive your childhood memories!
Great atmosphere. Ok service. I feel like this might have been the most stand offish bartender which is weird for that profession but maybe he was having an off night? Drink was decent.
Pretty awesome barcade. Lots of space to hang out, cool atmosphere and good selection of beers. Some fun arcades and pinballs that you can play with their tokens (0.25 each, some games will cost 2 tokens). Best one in my opinion is Time crisis 4! Eat before getting there or bring your own food (they don't serve any) and don't forget your ID.
adult kid zone with nice brews and good affordable games crosssection. a nostalgia trip.
Saw a great wrestling show here...lots of video games like Joust Qbert..couple pool tables ..very friendly staff
Some games need a little upgrade or fix but very cool place to check out, lots of retro games and pool tables and cool bartenders
Nice Location. Old arcades + pool, a movie on the big Screen, good Drinks, music, free entry. We were there on a sunday night. Not many people, I think saturdays its full.
Bring your own food! They do s have s full bar. Arcade games galore. Huge space.
Renovating an old venue into a barcade? Pretty brilliant if you ask me (and you didn't, but you're reading this so??). Great set up, great drinks, and the screens are utilized wonderfully. I went for the soft opening so it wasn't perfect but am giving it five stars anyway just cuz it's got mad potential to be a beast spot. All love!
So many fun games to play, random good movies playing on the screens and if you just want to chill and talk you can upstairs. Also, had to add that the staff are fun people. It's one of my go to spots!
What a venue! Definitely a cool space to hang. Can be a bit loud with the DJ, but it works well with the space. So much fun to be had here. All of your favorite arcade games, plus air hockey, pinball and more.
Awesome video game bar?i have been to several bars like this and this one actually had Soul calibur 2?thank you for that. Other ones only have mortal kombat!
awesome unique spot! tons of games, but on a saturday night you're going to be waiting in line for things like skeeball, air hockey, basketball, and pool. music is also VERY loud. games cost between 2-4 tokens. there was an awesome taco truck right in front of the venue
Great place for a fun night for a date or group of friends, the drinks are weak but the atmosphere is great.
A few games would eat up a few coins, but overall a great experience
Loveee coming here and seeing what new games have been added. They have fun night for karaoke and event and you can reserve tables for events too!
I had such a great time at emporium ! I came here on a Wednesday night expecting less people but it was actually very lively ! All the games are so much fun and the environment is really different. The inside is very neat and clean. However, they do not allow any outside drinks just as a heads up! Their mule cocktail is really good, but I disliked the black rose. The ginger liquor is not really my type of drink. The only tequila they had was don Julio. All the games take about 2 coins to play so it's very w
Serious fun. $20 goes a long way with the games. Love the movies in the background playing while you get down on some NBA Jam or pinball. Drinks on point highly recommend the Kirby slush or the SpongeBob themed pineapple mojito. Be the cool guy or gal and take a date or friends.
A fun collection of retro games, alcohol, and vibes! Drinks: A solid mix of beers and cocktails. Hard for me to say you could wrong here but I'm a beer guy and loved their offerings Atmosphere: loud music and very dim/dark but all good! The best games are the pinball machines, NBA jam, NBA blitz and the pop a shot. Mostly because I'm a sports guy Food: no food except in the vending machines so not here to knock them here And a good reminder: bring a non-expired license! You can't enter without one.
A better Dave&Busters. The bar and alcohol was great which is the main reason to be here. The game choices were average. Nothing special and a few machines were out of order. Atmosphere is great and that's what matters
With three floors and plenty of space,.ovee crowding should not be an issue. I docked them a star though because this place just opened 3 days ago and they already have broken machines. However they have some killer old school arcade games that will totally keep you coming back for more.
Ugh definitely the most bridge and tunnel place on Divis
Horrible place. Kicked my boyfriend out because they claimed he brought in something he didn't. said it was in the cameras and everything. they never checked. they never cared. spent lots of money. bullshit. don't go.
Great Space with fun games. Was there for the soft opening, so a few things needed a bit of work. The token dispenser machines were mostly not working and a few games were broken but I think they will figure it out and things will be good. Good beer selection and cool spot.
Great bar arcade room! I've been to emporium several times and love the vibe. The games are fun and no expensive. There is a great collection of games such as pool, basketball, air hockey, and some nostalgic arcade games. The drinks are good too.
This place is super fun. Great drinks and fun arcade games. There are lots of pool tables, and they're free (every day, i think). Bring your own food from the outside, so grab a pizza or something nearby.
Pretty cool place! Happy it opened, security guard was super nice and drinks are reasonable. Wish they had a few more games, went at a slow time and still had to wait to play (more than 5) games we had our eye on.
I been to 3 emporiums, San Jose, oakland and here and This Place takes the Cake and RAISES THE BAR! The place is a cool theater, night club, bar, restaurant and adult arcade wrapped up into one! They got movies playing, a dance floor and Mario Kart. It's got a bit everything for everyone! A must go if you wanna do something with friends!
This arcade bar is very fun. Great ambiance, the drinks are delicious and well priced, and the games are both new and retro. A great time for sure.
Heads up their change machines and games use TOKENS, so don't break a huge bill thinking you can just carry extra quarters. Overall, Pretty cool place. Lots of machines, good mix of newer and classic. Most things were in good working order, but a couple of soggy pinball flippers and the odd finicky old cabinet input. Had a good time visiting!
Spot is def A1 official drinks are great and games are awesome Two levels of utter bliss
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
