Customer Reviews

Fantastic arcade our favorite place! so close to home, I would pick this place over cidercade any day, we absolutely love the atmosphere the drinks were good price. My husband was talking with the owner, great hospitality!!! Hidden gem!

A++ local owned Freeplay arcade. They have everything from rthym games and fighting, to classic beat em up or shoot em ups. The pinball selection is amazing. All the latest stern tables and A bunch of other amazing pins. they rotate them out to have new stuff when needed. It's great. They have indie games and racing games. Basically any genre from old and new. They have food, beer, soda, clean restrooms and the price is very reasonable. If you go more than once a month just get the membership. It also works

This pace is great for all generations. Lots of games for us old timers 65+ and our kids and their kids all enjoy the variety of games. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. Nice area to sit and relax while the youngsters play hard. You can play all you want. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The games get changed out over time, so the young ones never get board going back. It is a very fun place for all ages of gamers. My wife likes challenging the young ones on the games we played years ago.

I love this arcade and want to give it 5 stars but on 5/16, my friends and I didn't have a great time. I love the variety of games and little holes you can go into if you want to chill. Food is good too, the hot dogs have always been my favorites. I think there needs some work on the layout and speakers though. The front area when you enter isn't used, and everyone has to congregate to the front bar to buy admission, food, drink, and it was very crowded by the new mortal kombat game and tournament. Trying

This is a great place for you people young and old for those of us that grew up in the '80s and '90s this is definitely revisiting our childhood they have a great selection of games awesome snacks and food and a very friendly atmosphere complete with the original game such as Tempest, Tron, and joust and a great selection of pinball games definitely recommend going there and at least doing a day pass you won't regret it on top of that you're supporting a local business and not a big corporation which is alw

The hubby and I wanted something different to and found this place closer to home than some of the other arcades. It's super affordable and even offers a monthly pass. I loved it and look forward to going back! After 8pm is 21 and over!

So my husband and I had date night last night (2/1/25) and we wanted to do something different. We came here after seeing it a few months ago. I absolutely recommend coming here! We got the $12.00(per person free play all games) day pass and we had the best time. They serve snacks, drinks, beers, and the staff is kind! They have several pin ball games, old school games and some new ones(early 2000s)! Highly recommend coming here and bring friends and who ever else you can think of! I'm not sure kids would l

Atmosphere is straight bangin'! Great retro decor and blacklight placement makes this arcade alive with visual appetite. I didn't try any food/snacks but has a good variety of whichever type of drink suits you. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Games are well organized in sections by type. Free play is worth the cover if you're there over an hour. Occasional live DJ!

It was clean and had a lot of great games from my childhood. All the games were in good working order and it was a fun time with friends. It was also nice that it was 21+ after 8pm so there weren't any screaming and running kids. We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy even though the Google busy-ness bar was pretty tall. I don't think I ever had to wait for a game to get on. It's a great night out!

It was actually very nice in there! They had many different kinds of games, and I didn't expect them to serve food here too! Plus, you could even host a birthday party here! That's wonderful! I'll definitely tell some people I know about this place! ????

Very nice arcade that really caters to everybody. I feel very much at home here and it reminds me of the arcades from back on the day, but nicer. Their animatronic is a must see. Everyone should check this place out.

We had so much fun as a family here. From open to 8, it is open to kids, but from 8 to close, it is 21+. You pay an upfront $10 for each person to get a wristband. This gives you free range to all of the "vintage" 80s and 90s games you want to play without having to add or buy extra coins to play each time. Young kids will also enjoy playing these games. They also had nachos, hot dogs, drinks, ect.

Me, my family, and friends love going to this spot. Mike and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Great variety of games mixed with classic and new. $20 price point for a month pass is well worth it.??

Very cool arcade in middle of strip mall. $10 a person gets you unlimited action to all the games. There's pinball, arcade games, classic 90?s and newer. The sit in car games old and new, dance dance revolution 2-player stage, golden tee, the list goes on. Literally something for everyone. They even had a room set up with some old school consoles. One ski-hockey table which was definitely the most popular. Even better you can purchase from a nice selection of adult and child beverages. Will be back

This is a great place. All of the arcade cabinets look really good and work like they should. Will definitely go back on return trips to the Dallas area.

Had a great time. Lots of old school games. Guitar hero. They have a room with classic console games. Super nintendo. Shooting and driving games. Good pricing on drinks ans snacks. They have day or monthly passes. Will be back. Owner was nice. Next to Braums ice cream too.

Go visit Electric Starship Arcade. They have many new and classic Arcades to play. The whole family had such a good time here. We could have stayed all day and night, but there had to be a stopping point. I recommend you all go visit, and have absolutely unlimited fun.

Best retro arcade I've been to hands down! Such a carefully selected and curated variety of old and new games . I love the pinball machine! Big screen TVs, tons of ambiance, great selection of drinks. Hours are open late! Owner is great guy and has excellent staff. I'm really blessed that they're . They have a great deal for a monthly pass . I almost didn't want to write the review so it doesn't get too popular? oh well I want them to succeed.

It was my wife and I?s first tune at ESA tonight, and it didn't disappoint! Lots of great retro arcade games, whike they also had some of the newer games. We'll be back!

Bathrooms (female) clean. Marios kart went out. I let manaement know. Loved him explaining thing. Nba, mortal komat, pac man, galaga, lots of 90d games

Very good selection of arcades , low price and cool staff

This arcade is so awesome! It was such a nostalgic experience that made me feel like a kid again. They have just about every game you can think of and I love that you just pay $10 to get free rein! We will definitely be back in the future. ??

Had a BLAST ! Great vintage arcade. Clean environment and Super friendly staff , oh and for entertainment... Bruno was pretty awesome! (Not "Mars") Highly Recommended ????

Late update on Dec 23 2023 I was in the Haltom city area rode on go-kart at Route 377 Go-kart before heading down the road to Electric Starship Arcade first step into the building is a hallway seem if I was entering to movie theater once in side I was greeted to the counter to purchase wristband by very nice employees, there's classic 80s/90s video games in good shape, hot food, drinks/alcohol beverage, chairs and table, clean environment, Spent like 3 hours there I had a blast spending time with my son I w

Clean facilities. Good snacks. Great family fun. After 8pm is adults only. Interesting selection of alcohol drinks. Always have fun when we go.

This was the arcade you dreamed about as a kid growing up in the 80s...and you might believe it was if you didn't see the Stranger things pinball machine ??. We got there early and glad we did. Even early in the PM on a Saturday (1pm) this place was rather busy and they only have one of a lot of things (such as air hockey, that my 8 yr old daughter loves). Since lots of people are so self gratified thanks to social media, the concept of sharing has gone out the window. So the subtle hints like standing nea

We brought our Hurst United Soccer Association U11 boys team here today for their end-of-season party & trophy presentation. What a great place! The boys loved it, and the price is extremely reasonable. Open vibe, very clean & organized, ample places to sit, and the staff were all so happy & friendly! The great craft beer selection & cool seasonal Santa & reindeer scene were icing on the cake. We'll definitely be coming here again back soon!

It's an Electric Starship full of old and new games. One price gives you access to tons of electronic arcade games, including Donkeykong, Mario, Space Invaders, and all the others you remember. It's dark. It's LOUD. The staff is friendly. Everyone has fun. There's a party room for hosting birthday parties. Jump on the starship and explore where you never thought you could go again..

This place is friggin sweet! Tons of old school games to play and lots of variety. Owner was super nice and welcoming when we first got there $10 to play all day is an awesome deal. Especially with the Texas heat. We spent 4 hrs there today and seemed like we just got there. Snack bar and drinks is a bonus also. The kids will love the fresh cotton candy! It has that retro 80s/90s feel to it for sure. Like when you would be dropped off with a bag of quarters for the day. If you're looking for something to do

A really fun place to enjoy some old-school arcades and pinball... I love that it is a local business and they also support local breweries... Monthly passes are certainly a way to go during the summer months

I was skeptical about visiting this place since I am not into video games but I am glad my husband convinced me! My 3 kids 14, 10 and 7 had fun as well. We got to talk to the owner for a bit and he was so approachable and nice. We will definitely be back!

Great selection of pinball and amazing selection of arcade games. Machines always work and it never feels crowded even when it's busy because it's huge. Been going for years and don't plan to stop!

This place is the real deal. Ever since learning this place existed I was chomping at the bit waiting for the weekend. My son and I hit the place at around 12:30 and closed it out at 8 PM. Everything was top notch, the facilities, decor, games, staff, food and refreshments, and the prices! Let me talk about the staff. Talk about people who enjoy what they are doing and enjoy sharing. Have a questions, they are eager to answer. Need assistance, they are there to help. Just want to jabber, they chip i

This place is awesome! We have a membership and live closer to the bedford one and thought we would give this one a try too! So glad we did! Will return soon! This one had more game options that we enjoyed! ??

Wife, 18mo old daughter, and myself went yesterday, May 12th, and absolutely had a blast!!! Was not expecting the type of games as well as the amount! They are all refurbished to like new condition...took a huge step back in time...felt like a kid again...was smiling so much that my upper gumline dried out! LOL...Food is made with care and beer is COLD?? Environment is comfortable and welcoming...i swear, you feel right at home...the air conditioning is good and crisp and on point for that atmosphere...the

Simply incredible! I was blown away with the quality and selection of games. Hands down the best arcade I've ever been to. The only issue I encountered was that I didn't want to leave.

I have been here a few times! Staff is always friendly and helpful! If a game is not working they are right on it! Beer is cold and yet to try any food but my son has and is very happy with his selections! Great for getting away! Its like knowing your body is in 2020 but your brain is looking at an arcade that simultaneously sees 1986 to 2020.

My family and I spent a couple of hours here on a recent Saturday afternoon, and were not disappointed. As first-time visitors, we were impressed with cleanliness, game selection, layout, and overall vibe of this arcade. Every game we played operated correctly, the staff was friendly, and although we didn't order from the snack bar, the food and drink selections were impressive. I noticed a birthday party happening in a private room, too -- what a fun place for a celebration! We'll be back.

The Starship is the absolute best Arcade in DFW. We hosted our son's birthday party here and all the kids an amazing time. We regularly bring the kids during the day for an inexpensive outing and thoroughly enjoy 21+ with our adult friends after 8:00 PM. The owner Mike is incredible to work with and I can't say enough how much we appreciate him and his awesome staff.

By far THE best arcade in DFW. Been a regular for over 3 years and have never been disappointed! From the games to their amazing customer service, I haven't been to a better arcade! I think EVERYONE should come here at least once!!

Came here for a birthday party today. I never knew this place existed such a cool experience. I wish they had newer games but I was still amazed and had a lot of fun with my son. The place was set up super cool with a few things on the wall that make it look that much cooler. We will be back ??

The best arcade of it's kind in DFW. The staff work hard to keep the floor clean. The owner cares about the quality of the games and it shows. Also try the month pass! The pass will work at Time Rift in Bedford. Time Rift is also awesome.

Brought my kids here and we had a blast. It's $12 per day now, or $20 for a whole month, and you can play for free. It's a great deal! All of the games are well maintained. Good old 80s 90s games, if you're tired of the arcade, theres, Foosball, air hockey, pinballs. Awesome place!

Great place, great staff and great prices. A truly authentic arcade. They have all the classics you can think of, new and old, but also big new machines that look and play great. Not to mention the amazing pinball lineup that includes Godzilla, Stranger Things and Deadpool. Can't wait to go back $

Great arcade variety and the staff were great. I enjoyed the adult only atmosphere in the evening. You can tell that the machines are well maintained.

First time there, but will definitely be back very soon. We were welcomed and chatted with as soon as we came in. Machines are very clean and functioning perfectly, plus the Pre-8pm environment was perfect to hang out with our 6yo in.

Cool place. Godzilla pinball is actually online which is a plus. Bat top machines for capcom fighters aren't for me though. Was just asking if turbo on ST could be set to standard of turbo 3 but was told they didn't know how to adjust it on the Japanese version of the game. Drink prices way better than other arcades in dfw

Rented for a private event. Everly was really good, until the owner tried to start nickle and diming us. We would have rented this place several times over the year for our group of He hadn't done this. So now we'll find another place. Probably would have left a tip bigger than what he was trying to nickle and dime us with. Poor decision on his part. Positive, the games were a lot of fun and brought me back to my early days of life.

This place has a large collection of old games that have been meticulously refurbished to be like when they where new. Have drinks food and a party room with good deals. They are constantly updating their floor and have awesome events high scores and competitions.

We finally made it out to Electric Starship and absolutely love it. My son and I love retro gaming/arcades and have visited most of them in the DFW area, but I feel like this one captured that arcade feel the best out of all of them. The decor was great (I need to find out where they got those wall tapestries, especially the Joust and MKII ones) and getting to play Space Harrier again after over 30 years was worth the admission price alone. There was also a nice assortment of foosball, bubble hockey, etc.

We had an incredible experience hosting my son?s birthday party at Electric Starship Arcade! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and allowed us to set up 30 minutes before they opened. The arcade games were a hit with the kids, and there was a great variety to keep everyone entertained. The venue was clean, organized, and the perfect setting for a fun celebration. Highly recommend for anyone looking to host a fun, stress-free party!

I loved it sm! I was driving around with my friend at night and we didn't know what to do so I started googling places to go. I found this arcade and we just went there. There is a big variety of games! For just 10$.We got there super late so we didn't have much time but we still had a lot of fun????

I spoke with Mike about some ideas for opening my own arcade in my hometown and he was very open, informative and kind. Check out their great youtube content and visit them at Electric Starship and Time Rift. I haven't been yet but will definitely drop by and say hi when I'm in that area next time.

I had two hot dogs and Frito chili pie there and I got home and started throwing up! I'll never be back. I've never been more sick in my life.

Great place!! I have been to many of the other arcades in DFW and this one ranks as the top. Every machine was working as it should and the place was very clean with just the right amount of lighting (couple places have been too dark). Staff was very friendly and good prices on hot dogs and beers. If you are looking for an arcade to visit, go here!!

Born in the 70s loving the atmosphere. The origal vintage cabinets remind of the 80s game play. Pinball machines are epic.

Fun and cheap thing to do. They had a lot of nostalgic games and cool pinball machines. I went during the day so I'm not sure how it is at night but it was a mixed crowd of younger kids and middle aged people. They had cool art work and posters too.

This evening, I finally decided to check out an arcade I had been wanting to visit for a long time, located behind Braum's. Before heading in, I stopped at Braum's and purchased a double-dip waffle ice cream cone. I was already halfway through my treat when I entered the arcade to explore the place and get a membership. Upon entering, I was directed to check in at the bar. While I was in the process of doing so, the bartender, Summer, informed me that ice cream was not allowed inside the building. I asked h

Awesome place for family and even an adult night/day. Very friendly service, good beer prices and snacks. I've been back 2 times in the past week and it seems like there isn't a game I don't remember from back in the day out on the floor. Very much a good time.

Electric Starship is probably DFW's best kept gaming secret. Here you'll find an awesome mix of classic and modern arcade games. There's even console gaming and pinball, and a bar! Ten bucks gets you in and all the games are free. If you're a fan of arcades the way they were back in the day, you'll love Electric Starship. Come on over, I'm sure there's something for everyone's taste.

This place is always a blast. Hidden gem here in town. I e been to plenty of "barcades" and electric starship is definitely in the top. I've been several times and one of my favorite things is, it's ALWAYS clean. So often these places can be sticky and dingy. Starship isn't, the staff really must put in extra effort. Also, I don't think I've evern seen a broken game, usually at these type of places you get a handful of broken machines which is always such a bummer. - really great place, great staff, and p

We had such a great time playing all the fun games from my childhood and some Crome today for a reasonable price. Mike and his whole family were spectacular hosts! Will definitely be back!

This is a truly special place, with such amazing heart and soul in its creation. A family owned and operated example of the American dream at its finest. All the games always work, and are meticulously maintained. The selection is second to none, with some of the best pinball to choose from. There is deep and sincere personality from the game selection to the decoration and amazing artwork that is very uplifting and inspiring. The staff is always very friendly, and the owner is a true class act.

I really wish this place wasn't so awesome, so I could have it all to myself. Unfortunately I have to write this review and add these pictures and share with the DFW metroplex what an amazing place this is. The current pictures from other reviews don't do this place justice, so I'll try to right this.

Dope place! Found some machines I've always wanted to try like The Punisher Arcade game. Had some of my favorites like Galaga and X-Men. Only snag was House of the dead 2 having player two?s gun not working, and the calibration being off. Me and the wife will be coming back frequently for sure!

Awseome place. Food, drinks, and unlimited arcade play. No tokens or quarters needed. $10 gets you unlimited access to every machine in the building.

Awesome. Took my 6 year old son and we had a great time. Great game selection and friendly staff.

My favorite spot in town. Incredible selection of games, fun atmosphere, cool bands, great drinks and food, and super nice employees who treat you well. The staff is knowledgeable about the games and they put a lot of care into making sure they run well. I love it there and highly recommend it to anyone!

So there I was, minding my own business, when aliens abducted me. Classic flying saucer situation?bright lights, weird noises, a probing sense of confusion. But instead of experiments, they dropped me into Electric Starship Arcade?proof that extraterrestrials have excellent taste. This place is a neon-soaked wonderland of retro games that made me forget I was possibly part of an intergalactic misunderstanding. Pac-Man? Nailed it. Galaga? Practically a spiritual experience after being on a spaceship. The vi

Family of four (kids 7 and 9)- we all enjoyed this place and had an awesome time. Will come back for sure.

Awesome and very fun arcade, the aesthetics and decor were amazing as well as the games themselves they have everything from frogger and Galactica to air hockey and foosball definitely worth the price I recommend the monthly pass because you'll absolutely want to come back even if just to pose with the giant clowns ??

Incredible spot to soak in the nostalgia, play until your heart?s content, and be transported into a realm of pure entertainment! We were there for over 8 hours and I felt like we barely scratched the surface of what the Starship has to offer. Packed with games, but it doesn't feel cluttered. Great mix of classic, upgraded, and newer arcades, pinball machines, and other fun games. The staff was excellent, and went above and beyond to give us a memorable experience! If you're in the area this is a must hit f

Electric Starship Arcade is an absolute blast! With a huge variety of games, there's something for everyone to enjoy, from fighting games and sports titles to shooters and a great selection of pinball machines?all free to play with a day pass, no need to fuss with coins. It's a gamer's paradise! While the food is solid and the drinks are decent, the real highlight here is, of course, the gaming experience. The atmosphere kicks up a notch after 8 PM when it becomes an adult-only space, making it a great spo

I loved it. $10 all day pass or $20 for the whole month. They have all the best games, all the classics, and a full bar!

So fun! This is a hidden gem. Lots of cool retro games including pinball machines. Full snack menu, beer, sodas, etc. Great for all ages!

Im looking for the Marvel vs Capcom game. Any one know which arcade has it?? This arcade has the Marvel vs Capcom 2 which is good but not as good as the first edition

Had a great time, they had all the old school favorites and more. Place was clean, staff was helpful ??

Today was my first time here and it's one of the best arcade places I've been in a long time! ?????? Staff was awesome! Music was great!

I never knew this place was here. I didn't eat or drink here. There were plenty of games to choose from. Prices seem reasonable

10 bucks for an all day pass. Great place to take the kids to let them just get out of the house for a bit... and if you have a sitter after 8 is 21 and up only. So double score. Update. 06/13/25. Went in a few days ago. Talked woth a Richard. Good guy, lots of knowledge and love for retro games. Not sure if he's new or not but a truly great guy. My kids loved him. Double 5 stars for him

We went after 8 pm when it was 21+ only and the games will make you feel like a kid again. We had so much fun and we stayed for hours. The price is perfect for an all day pass and they had drinks and snacks but we didn't order anything. The only thing that kind of bothered us was a funky smell like the place needed to be aired out but other than that if you remember spending hours as a kid in the arcade then this is the place! The variety of games is great!

Amazing arcade that takes you right back to being a kid! A huge variety of games for all levels. Great price to play all day and monthly memberships are totally worth it. A great way to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Awesome Arcade, awesome price! We had our first visit and had a wonderful experience!

Very cool place. Friendly staff, and a nice selection of games, including pinball, home consoles, bubble boy hockey and foosball . The only thing I have as I have as a Suggestion is, if you could swap out the controls in the Big Blues on Street Fighter. The cabs are great, clean & responsive ,however anyone who plays a lot of ST or 3S is used to the Sanwa buttons and stick. Its just different having the American set up on those 2 games. Love that custom cab you have with Street Fighter X Tekken in it.

Super friendly staff! Makes you feel like family. Great prices and a great selection of classic arcade games.

Ohhhh man. All I can tell you is JAWS PINBALL is here!!!! One of the best kept arcades I've gone too. It's cold and dark and has BEER!!! Any place serving a Shiner you will not find anything finer! All the staff is nice. Can't wait to try the food next visit when I sign up for the monthly membership.

Smells like the mid 90's and it is amazing in there. It's worth going back. Reminded me of a place called Texas Games in Arlington. The first free play place I can remember. If you like Arcades, you need to go here.

Love this place! My favorite neighborhood arcade to bring the boys to!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?
