Great overall experience for my daughters birthday. Wish they clearly stated that each parent needs a wristband just to watch their kids. That was an unexpected cost. Parents that don't do anything aside from keeping an eye on their younger kids (8 and younger in this case) should be allowed in if just keeping an eye on their kids and nothing more, but I understand it could be hard to monitor that as well. The place was clean, and the food was pretty good. Party host did a great job as well.
Good place for kids or teens. $20 a person and you all share the games so you may or may not have to wait to play what you want to play. You also might be joined by other people. Decent amount of games.
Reviews about bad service are pretty spot on, Brittany (supervisor) was extremely rude and was pretty much taunting my friends and I while we were trying to enjoy ourselves. Made it super uncomfortable. The games are pretty fun, I recommend larger groups to truly enjoy them. You will share games with others, guests were super nice.
The price to entry is not bad. I wish they had Cheaper non chemical drinks...But its Fun for the whole family... They have a few games that were really fun...ware comfortable shoes!! And get ready to burn some calories without even trying... The kids loved it and 2 hours may not seem like a lot, but It is a good number...
One of the worst birthday experience we had . Upon entrance, front desk person told us to place our birthday cake on a table. Unfortunately table broke, and cake messed up. She laughed and said this table has broken four times already. Was the cake 50 lbs? We called the manager, most impolite, doesn't know manners or how to solve a problem or kids birthday cake ruined. First thing came out of our mouth, ?why you placed your stuff here ?. This table is a show piece , not to place stuff or valuables. We polit
It was a fun and very immersive and kid friendly. It was busy but there is plenty of room. Definitely a sensory overload tho. The food was pretty good. There is a full bar as well. I want to go and try the drag brunch they host. Definitely will be back!
We had our son's birthday party at Electric Playhouse. We booked a private party room and the "Megawatt" party package. My child is autistic so we reached out to the event planner and asked for an accommodation to play first when they are a little less busy. We were not sure if they would be able to do this for us but they were more than happy to set up the party to make sure my child had the best day ever. On the day of, my child ended up a little overstimulated and was ready to move to the party room a li
Do not book a kids party here!!!! When I booked the party I was under the impression that it was for 12 kids. Once I got there and people started to arrive, I was told that all parents had to have a wristband as well if they wanted to be able to watch their children (these kids were 6&7 and required parent supervision). I did not feel comfortable asking parents to pay for themselves to be able to supervise and ended up having to pay for an additional 10 individuals causing a huge cost burden I was not prepa
The Electric Playhouse is a joy - and in a time when it seems increasingly hard to get your kids interested in a physical activity, this is a place where the whole family will be scampering around. It's a marvelous digital gaming experience that actually reminded me more of tabletop board games than it did of video games; a welcome chance to physically explore interacting with the video world, whether it's gently playing with interactive lights or racing around in a competitive game. But there are probably
Came for my grand-niece's 5th Birthday party. I was delighted by the whole environment, the interactive tables, the play areas, and the friendly staff. The food was fresh and tasty and I liked the fresh fruit platter lots.
I went with my 9 year old son, parents and 3 month old daughter we had an amazing time! It was super interactive for my son and loud enough that I didn't get anxious when my baby cried. Double win! The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
My husband and I took our 3 grandkids ages 9, 6, and 3. They had so much fun without being overwhelmed with a big crowd. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They took the time to explain games and even played with us at times. Definitely worth it and a great experience for us all.
I went to Drag Brunch on 1/5/25. I had a wonderful time! The food was very good, hot, fresh, replenished quickly. The staff was very friendly, helpful and made sure we had everything we wanted throughout the event. The Drag was excellent! Such a variety. There was Broadway, comedy, dramatic, creative dance and expression performances. That's entertainment to start off 2025 in a positive direction!!! Thank you Electric Playhouse!!.
It was a first time and we loved it. There are several interactive games that a group can play together. Not really knowing what to expect, would wear gym attire or cooler clothing the next time, it got warm from running around.
Awesome experience! I liked playing all the activities and interactive games. Really do recommend to go there. If you do go do the dodgeball area. There you can throw the balls to either hit aliens or cans with random stuff in them. ???? there is screens where you can choose to play different stuff. Such as saving the climate by collecting water. Or painting a canvas by running around and collecting blobs of paint to beat your friends. But you have to book a reservation to go inside. When you're tired just
That is so much fun!!!! I already recommended Electric Playhouse to family members and friends. It is truly for the entire family. I am 50 and i had a blast playing the games!
I was here on December 4th 2022 I know I'm 2 years late But this place is amazing and brings me good memories I loved it From mexico
This place is a blast. The visuals are incredible, and the interactive experiences are on a whole different level. It's not just for kids either. There's something here that grabs everyone?s attention, no matter the age. I spent a couple of hours exploring and didn't get bored once. Everything feels well thought out, from the lighting to the motion-based games. You can tell the team behind this put real effort into making it fun and immersive without overcomplicating things. Definitely a great way to spen
Such a fun venue. The tea time was great! All the actors and our server, Taylor (I think?) were fabulous! Will definitely be back
What a blast! Our group of two adults and one 6-year-old spent almost two hours playing as many games as we could. Every game requires physical participation and most of them needed mental processing, too. The price can't be beat for the entertainment factor. Another visit is already being planned.
We took my 8 year old daughter here for her birthday. This was a hidden treasure. Every single member in my family of 5 and our daughter?s friend had a blast! The staff were very attentive to us and very friendly, the building and rooms were very clean, only criticism was the pricing(but I blame that on our current government). It was an over all great time with my family. Thank you Electric Playhouse.
The Sunday Drag Show is the absolute BEST!!! The venue is awesome and clean, the breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. The performers are our best local talent, who give their all for a fantastic time!! If in doubt, go and see the some of our local greatness entertain you, you wont be sorry!
I went on a date and did the Drag Queen Brunch . It included a fabulous show and meal! We had a blast! It was interactive and the food was good! You cannot not go wrong with going to experience the shows here at the Electric Playhouse!!! I'm looking forward to my next experience there!!
Had an amazing time. It was my husband and I with our two kids 13 and 4 years of age and each one of us had a lot of fun. They have an area to sit and eat and have drinks as well, not badly priced and the food was good. Truly enjoyed our time there.
It was a great experience. The food was excellent.Just wish we would've got to keep little props that our cookies and our drink me potion came in and it's not like they were super expensive for those props especially for how much we paid for this experience. But over had an amazing experience
Interactive gaming gets you moving your body while having fun! Educational and a physical experience. Fun for family and friends.
If you go when they aren't busy or book a party you will have a better experience but going when they are busy will leave you sitting in lines to play games. Sitting in the lines will also take forever as there is nothing to stop the same group in the game from playing again and again as much as they would like. The games they do have are fun when you get to play them and the price is good when they aren't busy.
We're visiting from Scottsdale and the kids had a blast. Wish we had something like this back home. We did have a small issue with them not letting us sit at the dining area to order drinks. The staff acted a bit cagey as to why we couldn't, other people were dining... they never really explained themselves. Other than that great time!
Electric Playhouse has such a wide range of Events. Off The Ropes Pro Wrestling showed out for Game On!!! The venue was electrifying and the live event was so entertaining, I want to go back for the next one. I will be on the look out for your future Pro Wrestling events.
Great place for family fun. Interactive games involving projections on walls or the floor, such as virtual soccer and Wipeout wheel. Entry fee is pricey for 2 hours and adds up quickly for a family, $18 adults, $15 kids & seniors. We loved it.
Fantastic service with a smile. Kiddos had a blast! Would absolutely recommend for anybody looking for a fun spot in Albuquerque! McKenzie is a fantastic bartender! And a pleasure to talk to
As an adult, I think I had more fun that my 2 young daughters. I initially though it was just lights to see but there are so many games to play and they keep changing. You can take a break and head to the food and grab a bite or a drink. It was very fun.
I was here for a show the other night and the staff for electric playhouse were very rude and disrespectful. They for one was rude when it came to id's, and then we had security following us all night even followed my boyfriend to the bathroom. On top of that they were very rude to those of color and gave them hard times on entry and being there. The staff needs to evaluated on how they treat people entering the electric playhouse as I can tell there is a lot of bad reviews on the staff and treatment it's s
We went for the Drag Brunch this past Sunday & this was the perfect place to have it. We didn't get the brunch but it looked like there was a variety of food available for everyone. Bartenders & staff were very friendly & professional. Looking at the website it looks as though there are lots of fun activities. Will definitely be returning for any events that interest us. Once again, we went to the Drag Brunch this past Sunday 1/7/24 & it was phenomenal!! Amazing performances, the energy was great & the foo
First we had to buy tickets online. They would not take our cash. Second, it is impossible to enjoy the games with so many other children running around. And last....it's too expensive for a cuppa hours. And no I will not go on Wednesday's. I'd like to give no stars if possible.
It's a great idea but the execution is horrible. There is no structure to getting people through the center. Kids run around unchecked and unsupervised. Every time we tried to do one of the games kids jumped in front of us and then left a few seconds later. If that wasn't unenjoyable enough, we tried to get a couple of sodas at the "bar". I stood there waiting for about 15 min and the host never came out the back to seat me. I walked up to the bar to order and was met with a very rude waitress. I ordered tw
I had a blast! I wanted to attend drag brunch for my birthday and Im so glad I picked this show! The team at electric playhouse was so accommodating when my dad surprised me that weekend and came in town. They added a seat to my table for him so i got to celebrate with my whole family. Im so grateful for this experience. All the queens were amazing and Vanessa Patricks is such a talented host! I will def be coming back!
"Electric Playhouse" The name sounds like it describes what's inside, but it becomes confusing the more you ponder it; "Do we watch plays?", "Do we play with electric houses!?" In reality, this is a large, mostly open space with projectors mounted to the ceiling. Technology is used to track the player's movement so that they can interact with games, competitions and so forth. If you are going with friends, you should expect a high level of activity, wear cooler clothing than you might expect. If you're the
Fun experience. Wife and went as a spur of the moment date. Paying online was easy, as was the check in at the door. We had burgers, carne fries and a drink before we played games. I had a 7k draft and my wife had a cocktail. Food was ok. Burger was kinda bland, but not bad. Server was fantastic. Really on top of it. The games were fun. A neat concept I had never experienced before, especially so close to my house. We played about two games per room when we could. The games kept us moving and we broke a swe
Quality for the price is. 3/5 star. Recently had the pleasure of visiting the Electric Playhouse for their grand opening and attended the interactive dinner. It was a 5 course, $55 dinner or $75 with wine pairing experience. I got the wine pairing. The main disappointments were (1) the video advertisement for the dinner was much more beautiful than it was in real life. I expected butterflies to be fluttering across the table; at most the animation would vibrate slightly when I held out my hand. (2) The food
I'm not sure who was working 02/01/25 around 430pm but the person answering phones as well as upper management need some recognition! Both ladies went above and beyond for me. These are the type of people you want representing your company. The amount of empathy and customer service they gave was amazing. I truly appreciate them!
Hosting yoga classes here with Traverses yoga Thursday-Sunday starting at 8:20 am. The staff is super helpful and kind. The immersive experience is like non other. I recommend this place for a fun date night or an place to let your kiddos explore
Whenever I travel to a different state in the U.S., I make it a point to attend a drag show. I've previously been to a fantastic one in Albuquerque, but unfortunately, this particular experience fell far short of expectations. I attended the drag brunch with a group of friends, and while there were multiple performers, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The performances were lackluster, with minimal effort or creativity. Instead of engaging or entertaining the audience, the performers prim
Fun time! It's not a super large venue, so you do have to wait to play different games, but it's an experience. I like that both 9 year olds left tired lol
Best $15 for 2 hours I have spent. You would suppose it's not enough time but with all the activities available and the physical activity, it's more than enough. Restaurant and bar available inside, all delicious and well priced. Definitely will be returning.
This place is absolutely amazing!!!!?? I was there for NYE Hello Futurewas the vibe and every was so amazing, I didn't check out nearly everything but I will be returning. Staff was great and very clean establishment as well. So I recommend anyone that want to have a fun unquie experience like nowhere else, then come play at Electric Playhouse??
I've done several different things at Electric Playhouse. To date this includes three different Immersion Dinners (Halloween theme, Chocolate and Coffee theme, and Vara Wine pairing), general play, and yoga on the weekends (which still surprises people). The instructors for yoga vary, but I've had a positive experience with all of them (and I am not a big yoga fan, but need to keep it up).
My daughter had a birthday party at Electric Playhouse, and it went great! The host was above and beyond, and both kids and parents had a wonderful experience. I only wish we were given the correct information from the beginning - that we actually have three hours of fun rather than an hour and a half. Other than that, kudos to Electric Playhouse! We'll come back!
Very fun place to go. Especially for birthday parties!
Fun place to visit. Perfect for kids and adults. If you are sensitive to lights, probably be wary. Shared a brownie a la mode which was delicious. Overall a great place to visit for really any occasion
I had my son's birthday party here & the staff went above and beyond! Sonia, Scott and John were absolutely amazing - from Sonia helping to plan the event from beginning to end, Scott being one of the best server/host and John overlooking the entire production to ensure everything went perfect! The games and food are excellent as well!
It's was the best birthday for my son ever. Very reasonable price for what I got. An our host was amazing thank you guys for letting me make memories for my son on his special day and memories that will last forever ????
First time here and have to say now in my top 5 places to play at in Albuquerque!! What a blast! Spent about 4 hours here they serve alcoholic drinks, which were fantastic, and non alcoholic along with a decent menu. The games are all interactive and change to different ones as the time passes so always something new to check out! Bring your sneakers you will be doing lots of jumping, running and dodging? great for any age!
A very interesting form of entertainment here I must say. So you enter a brightly lit room to pay for entry?.and then you go into a tunnel of neon lights and immediately are submerged into a neon maze of fun! There are several different activities to enjoy along with a drink station and bar. My son and I went and paid $18 a ticket for a pass for a few hours. Some of the games where really fun and interactive well others where kind of meh. The dodgeball space invader game and the larger than life breakout ga
I went to the show last night, paid like 30 dollars to get in. I stood in line to get a drink for 45min and only got half way through the line. I didn't feel like standing in line for another 45min so I left. They had another bar that wasn't serving drinks. Not sure why they thought they wouldn't need that bar for a busy show. Needless to say, I will not be going back.
Really a fun space. The games change on rotation when you are there. They are interactive which makes it fun for all ages. There is a bar. One in the play space and one in the lobby. I suggest buying tickets ahead of time.
Very interactive and fun. Went to the soft opening and the place is not completely full. Great place for families and friends. There's food and drinks in the vacinity but didn't try it on this visit. Been told that there will be "adult hours" on the weekends after 9pm with live music and DJ's. A bit pricey but worth it
This place is amazing!! We had such a great time! Perfect for the whole family to get active and play! We're from out of town but this is a good reason to come back soon!
My husband?s company chose this location for their company Christmas party. We were rudely received by the staff serving us and practically forced into a room to eat dinner. If we got up to order our drinks at the bar the waitstaff rolled their eyes, huffed and puffed and threw dirty looks, the bartender was the least friendly person I had ever tried to converse with. The entire staff acted as if they had better places to be. The food and ambience overall were good and fun to be in, you just had to pretend
Had an amazing time here attending a show. Security was good everything went fast getting our ids checked and tickets scanned. Inside it was a joy to see so much color and how many rooms were interactive and immersive. My favorite part was the dance floor that made colors when you stepped on it.
Booked a birthday, kids had a blast. One adventure kept stopping and we had to exchange some cups that didn't seem clean. other than that it was a good time!
Very fun, my expectations were way off the mark. I figured it was just going to be a gimmicky "fun house" with laggy response times. I'm happy to say I was wrong. And don't be fooled it's easily an adult destination, not just because they have a bar, but that the games are fun for kids and adults alike.
We had my son?s birthday party here, and it was a great experience! They have delicious salads, great pizza, a phenomenal fruit tray. The kids had so much fun playing, and the adults had a great time too!! Brittany was a great hostess, and she was on top of our every need.
I thought it'd be bigger inside but it's still really fun, and there's plenty of games for kids/adults. Pretty good food for all ages, and a bar ??
It was very fun for my children! They had so much fun! I love that its so interactive. Very fun. Need to add a few more games! Loved the GIF photo booth!
I agree with Andy Lee's review. Why am I paying for wristbands for people that want no part in the activities. They just want to be there for their grandchild and here I am paying double then expected. The people that I called were very rude and unprofessional. Oh yeah if you want to cancel you can't they have a no refund policy (which is my fault, I admit).
This place is super-cool for all ages. A hyper-immersive art-based visual experience rooted in game-play, interactive projections, and sound. They have a bar (nice drinks) and food offerings (didn't order food on this visit).
First time here and we loved it! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and guide you through initially to explain all the games. Once inside, there is a space that you can take selfies and they email you the pictures! The activities are never ending...just when we thought we had visited each game/activity, we walked back around and found new games. They also provide complimentary iced water which was much needed after running around bopping aliens with balls. The Electric Playhouse can best be descri
It was fun for about a d hour or so with teens, the games if they changed a little quicker it might keep their attention a little longer. The price was reasonable but not sure we would go back without some kind of discount. Had too high if expectations
Firstly, they offer a 10% military discount ask for it at the door. It is a digital Meow Wolf style experience with food, bar and live DJ. The space provides an interactive digital entertainment for the whole family, first date, or friends. It can be very fun but I could imagine with a lot of people it could make for a busy experience with lines or frustration attempting to use an exhibit. Most exhibits are like playing a VR game such as Beat Saber or a VR style Atari Pong while others are interactive or vi
Great concept... Immersive Dining Experience has a bit to improve upon. Descriptions of courses and pairings would be a nice touch. The way the light show and courses correspond to one another would be interesting. The actual "theme" of the dinner would be helpful, as it corresponds to the ingredients of the courses. Otherwise... it's definitely different than anything else in Albuquerque. Think Meow Wolf meets Vernon's meets an acid trip. Totally cool and worth the night out, but still very young in
Fun place to experience something new. Cool games. Interesting light interaction. Now, the drink menu was nice, but i felt like it could have been more creative. With the elements of playhouse and the unique situation you are experiencing, the drink menu needs a revamp. Different glass ware, bright vibrant garnish. Drinks that have can change color.
Very cool concept!! Lots of fun for the family. For some of the games, you really need to be in shape to play! The only thing that bothered me was that most of the games didn't have designated lines to wait in; people would just stand around it, so you kinda had to know whose turn was next. And of course this means that some people cut their turn because they're not paying attention to everyone else who is there.
This was the best thing I have done in a long time. We had so much fun! My two year old could do almost every game too. They have a ton of variety of games, in each room. The colors were amazing and despite the sensory experience being intense it didn't feel overwhelming. We got there when it first opened and we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday morning. Such a unique cool experience!
The grandkids, their parents and I enjoyed the visit. We had a little trouble understanding how to play the interactive games but we had fun. Food was good.
This place is really cool. Everything is interactive , fun and a nice little work out! Staff was amazing and helpful. Bring comfy shoes!!
Me and my husband went for drag brunch and we came from ruidoso. It was a three hour drive but it was soooooo worth it !!!
We had booked here for an event. And there were multiple things wrong with this: 1. They DON?T allow cancellation AT ALL even if you call months in advance to cancel. In our case, we tried to cancel 2 months in advance 2. WE COULD never get ahold of them to cancel or reschedule for the party after calling and emailing for weeks on end 3. They never answer phone or emailing 4. They are very rude on phone. When we didn't show up to the event because we had talked to a manger about getting a refund they had
We were looking for something to do as a family and I found Electric Playhouse. We booked for 10am and it was super convenient. I would suggest book online. My daughter was so excited and my whole family, myself included had an amazing time. My daughter wants to come back for her bday. We will see. Thank you to the staff for being amazing and helpful.
Super fun, but I'd look up the games before you go. Not a ton of instructions, but fairly easy to figure out. Our 3 year old made it about an hour, then crashed. It was an hour straight of running though! We'll be back when the kiddo has a little bit better attention span.
This place was fun but be careful of the security guards they don't seem right, the main security guard tried to follow my toddler in to the restroom , and when confronted about it he got defensive and left me to talk to the manager. Not very cool
I went one of the younger staff members was nice , the older ones were not. They ignore you. I ate at the little restaurant and my burger was uncooked. Pink in the middle.
This was the perfect spot for the large commercial gathering that I attended. While the interior itself is showing a little wear from usage, it's not so noticable with the projected atmosphere. I'm not sure if the also handled the catering, but if they did, I'd recommend them also. Overall a delightful experience with plenty available parking.
My family visited Electric Playhouse on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the interactive games, especially our 6 year old. It wasn't too crowded, so we didn't feel rushed or have to wait for anything longer than 5 minutes. The cafe is right in the center of all the action. A unique experience in Albuquerque!
electric playhouse was a terrible venue to do an event at. i won't say much but they treated every single performer like garbage. not going to support them ever again. thank you!! for more info, follow _.bad.wulf._ on instagram
Would not accept a native woman's tribal ID and did not allow her inside. Extremely rude staff. Gave performers an exeedingly difficult time during entry for an event would not allow performers more than one trip for props/costumes. Let performers inside over 30 minutes late left to wait in the cold.
The hours flew by in this mesmerizing, interactive light playhouse. It was easy and engaging interacting with other visitors in the various multiplayer games. Extra stars for dodgeball alien invaders. Oh and of course my son loved it too.
Definitely looks better in pictures. Advertisements make it seem much more fun and interactive than it was.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
