True nickle and dime arcade. We had tons of fun with the kids and saved so much money doing it here. We won so many prizes from the claw machines! The staff was a bit hands on, which gave it a small town feel in a not so small Portland. The jackpots were pretty easy to win. We won four or five.

I love this place, I've been coming here for years. The staff is always wonderful and helpful, however at my last visit I was very disappointed. Whoever was at the counter (I am assuming the manager, as I witnessed him completely berating another employee during my time there) was extremely dismissive and seemed inconvenienced by me just picking out prizes. He kept stepping in the way of anyone trying to help, and was reluctant to have any conversation with anyone around him. What happened here????

Fun place for a date with the wife. Relaxed atmosphere, and cheap games! Get to go spend $50-100 and have a ball. Few machines were closed and feels a bit ?sticky? but overall worth the price and fun

Awesome little arcade! We spent half an hour here while waiting for a restaurant table, but we could have definitely spent an hour. The games are by far the most reasonable in any arcade I've seen in recent years, we spent less than $20 across 4 people. Decent mix of games. Overall strong recommendation!

A real nickel arcade - you can play games non-stop for hours with $20. And somehow they are still kind and accommodating. Thank you to everyone working at this institution for keeping an amazing neighborhood spot for kids and parents alive!

This place is a gem. Every arcade I've been to, you really have to pace yourself to make use of the money you spent. Here, you can play so many games with your money! It was so satisfying to pay less than a quarter for most games! On top of that, you actually accumulate a ton of tickets and can get (relatively) nice prizes.

Looking for younger kids arcade? This is definetly for them. Two game rooms and movie theater. A lot of the machines are for getting tickets. 3 cover charge and you load up swipe cards for machines and games. One 5 dollar swipe card goes a long way since its a nickel arcade. Most machines range from 2 nickels to 6 nickels. I played a lot of 3 to 4 nickel games. We loved the coin machines the most! Staff was super chill and nice. We went on a Wednesday so it wasn't too busy.

Yes! Fantastic time making fantastic memories with my kiddos that are growing up way, way too fast- so thanks for giving us a place to go and all be kids, again!!! We all had a blast, but my kids had a total blasty blast!!! - only did the nickel games- but don't mistake the use of the word "only" there as meaning that we had anything less than a SUPERB time...because it was anything but "just good enough"! Fun nickel arcade with lots of fun games. There is a entry fee of $2-4 person, then you load your amount you want for games onto the card and swipe it for each game. Games are between 5? and 40? each and you get tickets loaded onto the card from most games that you can cash in at the end for small prizes. Takes about an hour or 2 to do all the games. We had fun visiting Wunderland with our 3 kids while in Portland. I also brought my small dog in her carrying purse and they didn't seem to mind at all.

Wonderland is such a gem! Their staff is awesome (and patient with kids); the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is full of fun. I take my elementary-aged godsons there often, but I would go there with adults too! Makes for good memories.

The Escape Rooms were absolutely incredible. We have played over 50 rooms across the region, and these two were some of the best. Murder in London is one of the most impressively immersive and clever experiences we have done. Our game master was a blast, gave fantastic hints, and really cared. It didn't hurt that we got to kill time between games playing the best-priced arcade games in the area.

Definitely not a bad place, but if you're looking for a variety of games to play you should probably go somewhere else because while they do have a fair amount of games, quite a few of them are out of order, and the selections of games is kind of limited. Other than that, great place would definitely recommend!

BEST PLACE EVER! ran into this gem randomly while looking for movies to go to. We saw a movie for 4$ and stayed for the 1-5 nickel games offered in the arcade! This is like heaven on Earth! Really reminds arcade places in Japan! We spent there a few hours just having fun! Would definitely come back to score some more tickets! ????????

My kid lives coming here she squeals with joy as we approach. And us parents love how cheap it is to let her run around and play games when it's too rainy outside to play. She also loves the tickets to trade for little prizes. Very cute

Took my 10-year-old daughter here and we had a blast. She loves claw machines and games of chance/skill, and it was amazing to find a place where she could try all those games at nickel prices. It's not prohibitively expensive to play a favorite game multiple times until you hit it big. (My favorite is the milk jug toss, personally.) Went for my boyfriends 46th birthday just him and I and we had a blast. Nickel games is crazy, they estimate around $10/hour for game play and that was plenty. Went here to day had much fun but ran out of the game points had a blast playing the nickel drop games racing simulators and the claw machine I missed out on pinball but.... I was soo happy that skibowl was working as it wasn't during my last visit

It's basically like Chuckee Cheese without the mascot and silly show. Fun for the kids but I don't think parents should have to pay the entrance fee. I would have spent more if I didn't have to pay to just be there.

The games are great and fun silly. This isn't Dave & Buster's or Chuck E Cheese's, the games are simple, classic arcade fun. But for 2 dollars entry and only a few nickels per game, you can't beat the fun you can have here for such little expense on your wallet. A few weeks back, my son chose Wunderland for his birthday celebration. Sometime during the visit, his friend misplaced his backpack that contained his allergy medication. After searching on our own for a good amount of time, the manager noticed our distress and jumped right in to help checking surveillance footage and dispatching just about the whole staff to look in different zones. It's a classic location but the choice of games has gone really downhill for some reason. A lot of the best classic arcade games they used to have are missing, and there seems to be an extra abundance of cynical and cheap gambling style games that look and play like brainless mobile games developed for soccer moms. Also a full arcade without a *single* classic fighting game in it??? How is that possible??? BOOOOO. Letting my dissent be known!

Me and my son were visiting from Washington and Cahlil, Finn and Liyah were amazing at helping understand everything and were really respectful and polite. They have never had so much fun as a parent at an arcade than I did here $20 gets you a lot of play time and best chances at getting the most amount of tickets. Stopped in on a Saturday at opening to kill a bit of time. For twenty bucks I got to play tons of coin pusher games (my favorite) and dabbled at a few other skill games. My partner enjoyed a few video games, was hoping for more throw-back arcade video games however. Passed our ticket cards to a kid on our way out after getting a souvenir each, great value for money.

Best arcade I've ever seen! Great selection of fun games and pricing is really cheap, my girlfriend and I only paid $20 and had enough credits to play games for an hour. The prizes were really reasonably priced tickets-wise, and all the employees were so friendly and helpful, one of them even showed us the trick to getting the jackpot on one of the machines. This place is unique in that it used to be an old theater and they just ran with that. Honestly loved what they did with the place only wish it was bigger as there aren't many game options and can get crowded quickly. The dark ride is awesome and is located on the "stage"!

Customer service here sucks by in large. The ladies behind the counter don't listen and answer questions your not asking. Plus the 2 dolloar cover charge to just stand around while my kids play is stupid. Yea it only 2 bucks but I am not playing any games and there is no seating area to wait in. Over all not a great vibe.

My family really loves this please and the staff has always been pretty great. Even today the guy with the light up bowtie was really nice and super patient with both my boys even when they were taking forever to pick thier prize.

Absolute anus arcade. Lied about military discount online, mean lady up front, and half machines are broken. Dream absolutely shattered, go to beaverton location if you wanna have fun.

I've been going to this arcade since I was a kid and now my daughter loves it too. She and my brother loved the VR game they brought in too. Can't beat the prices either. The affordability has been unwavering since I was a child and it's a great alternative to the bigger corporations.

Had a blast here! Games were awesome, staff was helpful and very pleasant. Only issues I had were a couple of the games stopped working or jammed up but still a very fun experience (not to mention, I walked away with 900+ tickets lol). I highly recommend giving this spot a visit.

Super cheap and fun. Unlike other bargain or even regular arcades most all of the games work.

Staff is nice but gaming machines were so dirty you could feel the grime on everything. Screens with grimey smears, a film on everything we touched. It would be nice if games were wiped down but you could tell they haven't been in a very long time.

This place was popping on a Veterans Day, but games were still available and fun. I've gone here since 1983, still holds up.

Your kids will love it. You will, too! This place is mostly ticket games and light gun shooters, but there are a handful of arcade games. I think you are mostly here for the prizes. Years ago this place was more of a straight up arcade, with many obscure Japanese games and multi-system cabinets. Still fun, but RIP Big Rig Truckers, you will be missed.

Would have given it 5 stars if it had one or more additional arcade classics or even just another modern 4 player game. A slight too many gimmicky ticket games. But even with that said it is a good arcade that is actually reasonably priced for play. QuarterWorld on Hawthorne is a complete rip off compared to this place. I'll be back for sure.

My 13 year old nephew was in town and I took him here. He loves the XD ride! If you haven't ridden it, it is a 3D virtual roller coaster. You shoot enemies and targets while going through a very exciting thrill ride. We paid admission, two XD ride tickets, and a $20 game card for $30 total. We spent two hours there and he had a blast! Very economical way to spend some time entertaining tweens and teens. Also a great place for a date! The air hockey game is my favorite!

I've gone to the Avalon since I was a kid and now love coming here with my kids. It's affordable and they have good games. It might be a little heavy on the ticket games at this point and it ain't fancy, but it's also not a buck a game like other places nowadays. This is way more my style.

I visited Portland for the 1st time from Fresno, California, for Thanksgiving. My five year old granddaughter could not wait to take me to the arcade. I would say the visit was not disappointing. I was surprised at the small cost to play a game.

Doesn't clean enough. This is the third time in a row my son and I have got sick from this place. The milwaukie location doesn't have this problem just this location. With increased traffic there should be increased cleaning done. If you get sick easy or are immune compromised don't go here.

Fun but definitely something of a GenZ and younger arcade. Expect a lot of redemption games (win tickets), mobile games writ large (win tickets playing flappy bird), and sit-in-the-thing shooting games. If your early arcade experiences were at Dave and Buster's you'll feel at home. If you remember arcades prior to the vg industry refocusing itself on home consoles in '96-97, you'll appreciate Quarterworld more.

Plenty of street parking. 2 adults had an entrance fee of $2 each. 2 year old was free. All games are 5 to 40 cents and took us an hour and a half to get thru $10. Wide selection of games. Ticket ?? earning games loaded on card for trade in for prizes. Great fun!

This is the cheapest place to play a bunch of games. It is one of the only arcades that I feel like it's feasible to take kids and let them run wild for a long time, even if they generally suck at digital gameplay. I've been here before but I had never done the dark ride before. I highly recommend it, we did one of the medium scary ones and it was amazing.

Electric Wunderland, this place was a Portland gem...then they got rid of the nickles and the tickets! Now, you get a card with pre-loaded money on it. Great place, cheap prices! It really is fun! The price was 1-5 nickels (but usually 2 or 4 nickels). The arcade games were good, and the ice hockey was extremely cheap! You should definitely go there sometime soon.

I'm 30 years old, so keep that in mind. This place was disorienting to start, fun when I got down to it, and I was ready to leave by the end. I'm a first person shooter fan and there were plenty of those around. That and children, lots of teens but not crowded for a Sunday evening. Grass was definitely helpful. This would be a hilarious date night, and really fun.

Kids had a great time with $15 each, quite a few out of order games

Took my 9 year old daughter, since she'd never been to a proper arcade before. She had a blast and we spent over an hour there for more than $10. She rates it 5 stars. The value is great but some of the games could be better. There's a lot of "win tickets"-type pseudo-games, which I'm not a fan of. I can't speak to the movie screens, since we didn't watch a movie there. A great value and kids are sure to have a great time.

Understandable policy goes too far. My 7 year old was invited to a birthday party here. He's never been before and doesn't know the birthday boy?s parents, so I want to walk him to the party tables so he knows where they are and introduce him to the supervising adults so he knows who they are if he needs help. So, so much fun. You can easily spend 6 hours here without a problem. Movies are great - I personally watched Zombieland, absolutely hilarious. The staff is so extremely friendly and genuinely seem happy and like they're having fun. The games are fun and it's super, super easy to get tickets. Always a great time here! Every visit to Portland, I make sure to stop here. Everything is super affordable and $15 of nickels will keep you entertained for HOURS. They do a decent job of keeping the place clean for having such a small staff. My favorite games are definitely balloon pop, Hop Star and Let's Go Jungle. The 3-D chair experience (forgot what it's called) is totally worth it! I always have a great time and then I get rewarded at the end with cool prizes! Literally just the best place ever.

Love this place so much! A few of the old games weren't working and all of the skeeball games are out of service BUT we got fantastic service from the guys at the counter and had a blast. Spent like $20 on games for three hours, 6.50 entry fee and do be prepared to wait up to two hours in line because they do have a capacity limit inside.

Games are less than 40 cents per play! That includes the light gun shooters and racing games. Good times. There is an entry fee and we loaded 10$ per person. Had a blast. Can't bring food and drinks in with you to the arcade. They also have a small movie theater.

Electric Castles Wunderland is very Family friendly. The employees who keep the building clean are also helpful to the children and family enjoying themselves. I've been bringing 3 of my grandchildren to Wunderland on Belmont in Portland, OR for 15 years, watching Movies to playing video games. Highly recommend this place for all families!

Been going here for 8 years, I bring family, friends and dates here. Very cheap for arcade and movies. Fun old school vibe. Some of the game machines are coin eaters but thats okay too. kettle corn is yummy. I recommend saving up some of your own nickels as well. It's more fun to bring a group no matter the age

Super fun arcade your can go to on a budget. Spend 15 bucks and you will be busy for 2 or so hours. They had a nice mixture of old and new games along with ticket winning and not for prize games. Would definitely recommend to anyone that likes arcades.
