Here is my original five star review before I was assaulted by one of the "Owners": This place is amazing! They have at least 67 pinball machines, many classics such as pinbot and spectrum, as well as many newer machines. They have great food, live bands and a full bar with great drinks. I will visit again! After writing the review above, I went back the next day, I'm a fairly quiet person and make friends easily. I played in the tournament and was doing pretty well out of 65 people I was close to making f
Electric Bat Arcade in Tempe (check out their Flagstaff location, also) is a fantastic place to play pinball, undoubtedly one of the very best pinball locations in the state of Arizona! The machines here are well-maintained, and therefore all operate as intended and expected. Old-school tokens (.25 each) are used, with most newer games playing for $1.00 or 3/$2.00, and older games generally set at .50 or .75 each. At the time of my visit (July 2024) there were no less than 62 pinball games here, with only o
Possibly the best pinball arcade in America that also had a bar but is separated in a way that people bring their children comfortably. I've been to pinball arcades in Seattle,St Louis, Las Vegas,Houston, Michigan and some place in New Hampshire. The machines are meticulously maintained. There is a mix of both classic and the Newest games with several being from Stern so you can track your scores trough the app. I met the owners and they were super cool and welcoming. They claim to have the largest League P
I went there with a group from the Worldwide Women's Film Festival. I loved the arcade. The pinball machines were cheaper than I thought they would be. I put a $20 bill in the token machine. I got so many tokens that I brought my grandkids to play the next day and I still have some. The pinball machines have different prices. You have to look at each machine to see how many tokens you need. They open at 6 am every day. They have pinball leagues. The bar has a nice assortment of non-alcoholic drinks
An amazing arcade with 60+ pinball machines that are kept in top notch condition! This is hands down one of the best places in Arizona and the United States (probably the world) to play pinball. The arcade is attached to Yucca Taproom and has its own tiki bar as well so you can have some beers or mixed drinks while you play. If you're looking for a new hobby or something to do I highly recommend visiting and playing pinball here. There is a large and fun community of people who play and they are more than
Amber was so nice! She made my friend and I drinks and they were delicious!! While she made us drinks we had great conversation. Very wonderful!!
This was a great place to eat, drink, and have some fun with the arcade machines. My initial impression when I walked in was (am I in the wrong place) type vibe, but the bar tenders were amazing, food and drink was great, and the pinball/arcade games were outstanding (this is the first place I have been where all the games actually worked; all the buttons functioned). They have some unique rhythm games from Japan, which are fun to play when your buzzed. Definitely will make it a point to return the next tim
Great arcade with retro pinball and newer games. From Tekken to Dolly, there's something for everyone. Most games are .50 - $1 making for an inexpensive outing. Ample parking with a lot located on site. Entrance through Yucca Tap Room (bar attached next door). Restrooms on site and fully stocked bar. 10/10 recommend
I always make sure to stop by whenever I'm in Phoenix! Friendly staff and fun pinball machines! They really seem like they take care of their machines and they always have new ones come in!
Amber at electric bat is the absolute best! She is so wonderful to be around. Such good vibes and service in general! One of my favs:)
Game on! If you love the lights, sounds, and feel of classic pinball machines the Electric Bat Arcade will delight you. It has such a fun motif with bats, monster movie posters and decals, and tiki bar. There isn't much competition for pinball palaces these days, but that doesn't stop the Electric Bat Arcade from keeping the games fresh and providing great service at the bar!
Very cool place! Friendly staff and the pinball games were fun lots to choose from. $00.50-$1.00 average for one play.
Very cool arcade located inside Yucca Tap Room. There are plenty of pinball games that are all connected to Stern Online and there is a leaderboard for the month of high scores on the TVs inside. There is a bar inside that is separate from Yucca and it's pretty good. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in arcade games to check this awesome place out!
Great stop for any pinhead! Every game played perfectly. Great beer selection and af full bar.
If you like pinball, this place should be on your bucket list.
Largest tournaments in the world every Tuesday night at 6:30. Amazing place for friends and families. Love the energy and environment.
Just had a great pinball experience tonight! People who work there are so nice and helpful! It's my first time playing on real pinball machines. There are lots of pinball machines and the new ones with great design. I just love the vibe there! Definitely will go there many more times!
Personally, I think this is the best pinball arcade In the Valley. Not the most games but without doubt the best well kept and fun variety of games. It's connected to a bar that has crazy open hrs witch means the arcade is open stupid early in the morning till waaay late at night ??. Electric Bat is SUPER involved with the community and brings friendly competition every week. The owners of EB are absolutely loving, fantastic, cool ?? humans and I'm proud of them and will continue to support them in what t
Hard to find. Located inside Yucca Tap Room inside, make a right at the stage,. Good part: lots of vintage pinball machines (2 small rooms). We were there in the day, kind of old and depressing. No one there. Seems to be a night time bar scene place. Person in front was very nice! Enter from parking lot in back.
If pinball is your thing, this is where you want to be. From classic machines to modern games. All of the machines are well kept and in excellent playing condition (which is not an easy task considering the number of machines and the players playing hard - nudging, bumping, etc). If you like to compete, there is usually a pinball tournament on Tuesday Nights. They've been getting 100+ players for a mid-week tournament, which is unreal.
Attached to Yucca Taproom.. so many amazing pinballs in one place.. come on Tuesdays and play in the tournaments.. only $1 plus the coin drop and so much fun.
Best pinball arcade ever! Amazing collection of machines which are always well maintained.
Great arcade. It looks super shady from the outside but inside is a treasure. It's a pinball destination for pinball fans and I can see why. Cheap drinks and cheap food.
What an awesome place to hang out. Staff was super chill, friendly, patrons I spoke to we're regulars and pretty cool too. Food was yummmm, drinks were good and reasonably priced. Will definitely frequent this spot to play their numerous pinball machines and play what I hear is the largest weekly pinball league/ tournament on Tuesday nights. Top notch ??
Really nice little arcade with great games! There's a lot of pinball machines, but I'm more a fan of the rhythm games. Groove Coaster and Jubeat are great rhythm games that you won't be able to find anywhere near by!
A great arcade with a cool vibe and owned by two of the most amazing people you will ever meet! Lots of tables and happy happy joy they are all lovingly maintained and work great! They have many classic machines AND The best and newest! It's adjacent to the legendary Yucca tap room so you just can't miss
I'm so happy that I found this place. My Mom loves pinball so while she was visiting from out of state, I had to take her. So many different pinball machines to choose from. Additionally, the drinks that they serve in the attached Yucca Tap Room were good & reasonably priced. Only downside, some games cost $1.00 per play, so it can get a little pricey when four people are playing.
VEGAN DEATH TACO IS SO GOOD ordered like 6 of them!! Super cozy place, not too busy during the day, good selection of games. Everybody is super nice. Love it here :)
A ton of different pinball machines. I introduced my grandson to pinball. A little pricey per game though
Within the Yucca Tap Room, we had a great time playing an awesome selection of pinball machines in three different rooms.
This place is legit. If you love pinball, it's really the best place. Not too expensive and definitely not pretentious. Attached to the Yucca Tap room, it's very punk, but that is cool. I guess some game tokens can get you a beer?? They have pinball machines from the OLD days and machines that are brand new. I will be back for sure.
An AMAZING place. Great machines, in working order, and a huge variety. I try to stop by once a week. my only suggestion is a cold keg of beer.. If the balls aren't dropping my way...i'm drinking...and the warmer beer in a can ain't cutting it. I've been grabbing my drinks in Yucca and I want to support you guys more, for sure.
Singlehandedly the best place to stop for a beer and some gravity therapy during happy hour.
This place is awesome! The machines are well maintained and in great condition. There's a great selection of classics and the latest.
Good beer ... good pinball ... what more to say ... enter through the Yuca Tap Room
Huge variety of pinball. There are machines that span around 50 years of pinball history. They have all the bangers you'd hope they have and new ones you've maybe never seen. All the machines are in great mechanical condition and are so shockingly clean. They also have fun arcade machines too if you need a pinball break.
I come here two to three times a week just to play Sound Voltex. There is also an online scoring system for local players. Five dollars can go a long way.
The best place to play pinball in Arizona. Some of the pins on site are unusual if not rare finds. Excellent culture, art, tasty food and a tiki bar. If you haven't been there, do it.
EBA is a great place to visit, often. The games are kept in top notch condition. Issues with a game can be reported to the crew and often will be fixed right away. There is a full selection of games including new games, currently being manufactured. Rachel is very good to talk to and Cale too. Come in and drop $40 on games and enjoy some cocktails. Tempe is on fire with heat, but the EBA is a COOL place.
This place is fabulous I have never been in an arcade this side of the West
Place was a little sketchy on the outside but the arcade and service was awesome! Would go again!
Great options of pinball games and nostalgic atmosphere...and the staff are always awesome
This place rocks. The owners are awesome.
This is one of the coolest arcades that I have ever visited! It has the coolest vibe, and the owners truly know how to run a successful and fun arcade! If your In Arizona this is a must see!
Typical barcade. They seem to have many rare pinball games. I mainly came for the music games. The sound voltex machine was impossible to play on as the right knob did not work at all. The machine should have been turned off completely. There didn't seem to be anyone to talk to about it either. The popn music machine was in good condition. The live music after 9pm is much too loud though. Because of the live music, I am not sure it is a good idea to have music games there anyway, although I know you can use
Played a pinball tournament last week here in Swiss format. Had an absolute blast! Out of 60 players I was in the top 30. Not bad for an amateur. Yucca tap room next door had live bands as well. Really enjoyed the death metal band , they had full make up, long hair, blood coming out mouths and spiked cuffs! They sounded great ????. Another highlight is the Bulgogi Bao buns ! Crushed 3 of those to myself with some mango cider. I recommend this place if you are looking to try something new on Tuesday night
Place is bad a$$. Mostly a pinball arcade with older and new machines. The owners are super cool and the machines are kept up. They hold a fun pinball tournament on Tuesday nights which is a lot of fun. They have expanded and have even more pinball games now. Biggest pinball arcade in the valley!
Cool place to go play pinball, have a few drinks and maybe catch a show. More of a dive atmosphere (which I like). Very well maintained pinball machines and a good selection of popular titles. EDIT: Went back recently after their remodel and its even better than before. More than twice as many pins now! Great place.
Came here because my bf loves old pinball machines and it's one of his favorite bars/arcades. Good drinks at yucca tap, and excellent bartenders.
Eclectic Bat is where it's at. I've never had a problem here and have enjoyed all the pinball tables. Thanks for all the variety and maintaining the tables so well and so often. Stand-outs for me include The Getaway and Metallica. The selection is fantastic. I haven't been here for the tournaments, but I hear it's fun. Once I get good, I will enter and beat everybody out of existence for the championship. Thanks, again. Much appreciated.
Never had a bad time at the E.B.A. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and also do a great job keeping the games in working order. Speaking of games, E.B.A. has a variety of not only pinball, but classics and modern games too. The tiki bar is sweet, the prices are fair, and definitely check out Tuesday tournaments:) Pro tip: next time you're up in Flagstaff looking for something fun to do, check ?em out! There's another Electric Bat off of N WC Riles St.
Huge selection of pinball games and an attached bar. Art everywhere nearby. Take my quarter!
Pinball machines are in great shape. Super cool atmosphere, makes me want to duplicate it at home in my pinball room. Played pinball for 2 hours and bought a couple of their cool shirts. Very friendly staff. Love it.
You can have it all! Amazing aesthetics and environment, gargantuan selection of well maintained games, and extremely kind and supportive staff. You cannot go wrong spending an hour or an entire day here!
Pinball machines for days....plus hidden tiki bar
This place is awful. 99% of the machines are pinball and the only other games don't work, but there's no out of service signs so your money is just gone. Extremely boring and the inside is messy and disgusting filled with slobs at the bar at 6 PM. On top of all this, there is a $4 service fee to even take money out. Worst $20 (plus the 25% service fee) I have ever spent and I am saving you the disappointment from going here.
Super solid line up on pins. Played a few pins I've been wanting to buy. Probably saved me from buying something I wouldnt have liked. Attack from Mars is definitely getting picked up. Games are well maintained and as a matter of fact I think they were just waxed because the ball had some funky spin at times. Bought a shirt and had a beer..great time. Thanks guys.
Shocked to see a LE Turtles and Monster Bash there. A lot of nice pins there. Definitely will go back. Have to go through the bar to get to it it the only negative for me. Bar felt sketchy to my daughters as the area. But great time playing some pins. Great line up.
This arcade is part of the famous Yucca Tap Room that has been here for decades. Great, well maintained pinball machines. Live Music, beer and pinball..What's not to like?
Love being a part of the pinball arcade tournaments on Tuesdays. Really great atmosphere, amazing security and staff. Can bring kids before 7pm
Sick dive bar. Lots of pinball machines but they are mostly $1 per okay. Video game arcades are limited. Connected to Yucca Tap House so you enter from there. Unassuming, overall cool place to have a drink, watch a game and play a few games.
My wife was in HEAVEN and couldn't figure out which one to play first. Great selection of pinball games in great condition.
Great place for pinball but not if you have youngsters as you have to walk through the bar area. We had a little drunk show when we walked through but the pinball was worth it. From older to brand new machines can be found here.
This establishment has a fine selection of quality pinball machines and drinks. Tuesdays are tournament nights. Steer clear of the occasional aggressive asshole who shakes the machines. Better to beat the machines than his lover at home, I guess?
A few machines malfunction, & some have the incorrect price. There is a note pad available to document issues with machines, which is nice. Some of the tokens are special and can be worth a beverage, which is awesome. Still need a way to document if people are just coming for pinball instead of music shows, haven't got that dialed quite yet.
My favorite arcade in the city, such a fun environment and the regulars are so nice. My comfort spot.
Outstanding selection of pinball here. Been meaning to visit for a while now, was not disappointed.
Place is cool with really good service, but bring cash or quarter's. Pinball machines are in great shape with the newest and best titles. Great lineup and ill be back for sure!!
Arcade attached to a dive bar that gives you the feeling you will be murdered. I felt like I was in the saw movie. Games were well maintained and had a few gems. Staff is very friendly.
Reasonable(12 I think) selection of the most popular modern pinball games, walking dead, acdc, Metallica, black knight, etc. 1$ per play or 3 for 2$ Replay high scores are within reason and I seem to be at about 1 in 10 for random free games. Occasionally you win a free beer too.
First time here and was very impressed. Great selection of old and new pins that are very well maintained and lots of fun to play!
Great coin-op arcade. Sparkling clean machines. Hand Sanitizer located throughout. A completely woman owned business. Brought my son on a Saturday afternoon and we had a blast. There were about 30 machines (two-thirds pinball; one-third cabinets). Some games at time of review: PINBALL: Rick & Morty, The Getaway, Jurassic Park. CABINET: Battletoads, Mario Bros [1983], House of the Dead 2, Ms. Pac Man/Galaga, and a few fighting games (iterations of Mortal Kombat & a nice bench-seater of * Vs. Capcom)
This is now a part of the Yucca Tap Room. There are a ton of old school pinball games here. I felt like I had stepped back in time to the 1970's! It was awesome.
Outstanding collection of new and vintage machines
Strange things were afoot at the Electric Bar Arcade...the first time I've ever witnessed a pin ball tournament. Cool dive bar!
Electric bat and yucca hand in hand greatness. Extremely large pinball selection, add in solid eats and I want to stay hours.
It is a nice place to go and have a drink they have new pinball machine and some old one and a few video games Ms pacman and Galaga and a few others and the bartenders are nice and friendly street tacos are awesome
Great collection of very well-maintained pinball machines. Leans more toward newer tables, but a lot of favorites from the earlier eras as well.
Best pinball in Tempe by far. All the machines are in great condition. Love Godzilla, Metallica, and Jurassic Park.
$1 a game for pinball, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The list star is due to a severe lack of employee presence for issues with the machines.
Super fun! Lots of new and classic games. Great drinks. Great place for a date.
Reasonably priced pinball and an amazing assortment of machines! Definitely worth a visit, recommended for sure
I love it when Georgie drowns my mac and cheese balla in aoli sauce. Best cook at Yucca/Electric Bat!
Had fun, went to a concert at the Yucca Tap Room.
It's the pinball arcade at Yucca!!! What else is there to know?? But, really it's a blast. They have tournaments and such too. Check their Facebook page or stop in and check them out!!!
Super solid arcade - lots of different pinball machines, plus they had bubble hockey too
Machines all in pretty good nick. MM left troll is out, but very nice selection of games.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
