Great place to play pinball and grab drinks. The machines are well cared for, except for that earthshaker that was filthy, and priced really cheap. New games are only two tokens. It got a little hot as more people came in but that might be a me problem. Worth checking out.
I love the vibe of this place, there are plenty of bars around the area, which I really enjoy, and where can you play Marvel vs Capcom or Mortal Kombat with alcohol? Pretty chill spot with friends.
Love Love Love this place!! First time there...if you are a person who loved the real old school video games, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Astroids, Frogger, Cinapoede and Pin Ball this place is for you! They serve just drinks (so grab dinner before your get there) and the bomb diggady atmosphere, you have to see this place; very clean and cool vibes!
The most amazing arcade bar in the world where they still charge you less per play and have amazing drinks and amazing prices. Real love letter to arcade games and my favourite place in the world . We were visiting from London. They have some really rare machines. I could stay here for hours. Much love and thanks for keeping this alive , I wish you all the success in the world.
Good entrainment there, they really know how to make a cocktail no fights beautiful girls there. All type of music there to mix like house music mix with hip hop R&B.
Great spot for a chill time if you go early or a more lively spot if you go later in the evening. It has a large variety of games and they all work! There is a live DJ there on the weekends and the music always maintains a cool atmosphere throughout the night. Of the arcade bars I've been to this one is my favorite.
Recently went to this bar and it has been one of our favorite bars the drinks are good and they have some good vibes love the DJ but on our recent visit bartender got bothered just because we didn't tip him what he want and threw the recipe back to us and was basically telling us that that's not enough of a tip for him and it wasn't even him that gave us service he just happen to grab the receipt once we payed and basically shamed us for tipping him what we did yes we might have tipped less but he didn't ev
This place can be booming, and with good reason. It is very busy on weekend nights, which is kind of cool. I love that throwback feeling of a good arcade. It is awesome to have a bar with something to do besides just sit and drink. It can be very loud and chaotic on super busy nights, especially when cold and no one wants to go outisde...but it is definitely worth going.
Came for the pinball. Was not disappointed! They have 22 machines, which is glorious to behold, and they're kept in great shape. My only complaint is it's too loud! I wanted to be able to hear the alerts & other noises from the machines, but the bar was blasting music over everything. Please, just turn the volume down in that room?
Nothing more nostalgic for the millennial in me like a good old arcade bar. This place gets crowded at night, but early in the day is easy playing. Trade in some cash for tokens and you have the options to play video games or pinball. They serve cocktails and beers as well. Good service, clean, and well-kept!
I'm a regular here and won't be anymore because it's painfully ? LITERALLY ? loud. This place is such a great part of our community and has been for a few years now. The games are awesome, the staff is a little moody but so nice and great at what they do, the DJs play awesome music, and the patio is so nice. However, they have began playing music insanely loud over the last 6 or so months. Many of my friends used to meet up here, host get togethers, and have birthday parties here. But they all now refuse
Date night here is so much fun! The bartender is super sweet and makes drinks that are not on the menu. There is a DJ playing music next to the bar. I will definitely come back again.
Went to 82 last night with husband and friends. We were having a great time until the end of the night when one of the bartenders gave my husband attitude when he just asked to close his tab. Having worked as a bartender I understand that it gets busy but I believe giving quality service is very important and when you let your attitude get the best of you, you end up getting a negative review like this.
Been going here for a few months, really cool place. The arcade and pinball selection is great. I wish the pinball machines were in a better state. A lot of them have major technical issues. I guess that's the trade-off for 50 cent plays on pinball.
Had a wonderful time there for been my first time. Will definitely be going back. I was from out of town like the place
Games were great. Pinball is one of my favorites and the machines were in great order and only ~50 cents a play. Staff was handing out tokens too! Super fun date night.
Great to enjoy drinks while playing arcade games. They have street fighter, dozens of pinball machines and several arcade classics. My favorite was Arkanoid with its original controls. Music is a bit too loud for my taste and the security guys could be a bit nicer.
Cool bar and ambiance. Rude bartenders. Our drinks were $30 and we didnt tip. The bartender proceeds to ask for the remainder of my canned drink and pours it out because I did not tip. Bad customer service, and unpleasant experience because of the rude bartender. Will not be returning.
50 cent games are wonderful. Thank you for them. But the pinball machines are in a dismal state. Almost all of them are too broken or off kilter to enjoy. This is not a good place to play seriously and try to get high scores.
This spot is always fun to explore and bring people to. My brother was visiting and didn't care for any touristy spots or nightlife. However, this spot hit the spot for him with all the old school games. All of the games were 25 cents except for the pin ball games. I haven't played video games with my brother since we were kids, so this was definitely an amazing experience together as adults.
Favorite bar that I've ever been to hands down! So many amazing games and great atmosphere with tons of space and huge bar with great selection of brews too, highly recommended
Fun place good vibes, plenty of places to lounge and also has a fun dance area ??Great place for hanging out or date night, music is good! Also the games are cool. Berta was a sweetheart ?? Please be nicer to the cleaning ladies ?????
Fun old school arcade bar. Older arcade games on one side and pinball on the other side with an outdoor area as well between them. One bar on the arcade side and it gets crowded.
Obsessed with Eighty Two! The atmosphere is great and the games are so much fun. Fair warning that security will search you and maybe pat you down/wand you before you enter. I'm OBSESSED with the Sopranos pinball machine. The Princess Peach, El Burro and Kill Screen are my faves! FYI games shut down at 1:45 AM.
This spot is always fun! Around 10 is when it starts getting crowded. Always fun, true barcade. Giving it 4 stars because the drinks are a little pricy there's no atm. You can go to the bartenders and they charge you 0.50 for every 5 dollars you get cashed back.
Bar with kick of old school gems....arcade classics. Great place to visit within Art District. Plenty to see...take in. Ambiance is casual...not dress to impress. The impetus of where it's located...much to desire. Drinks are good...games are rolling...save your quarters. Many classic games to choose from...Street Fighter...Centipede...Donky Kong...Gallaga....Mario Bro's...other Favs....but mainly a hang out destination. Area litered with who's who? Young ambiance....cool collective. Watch out for panhandle
It's a cool place for hangouts over the weekend but not 100% satisfied, because all the game was boring not really crazy about it, Also the crowd was much bigger than the arcade games so probably you have to wait more but the vibe for grab a drink and sitting and hang out was very nice Also it's not very safe around there, and hard to find a parking!
This is always a fun place to visit. Great retro arcade and pinball machines. The drinks are inexpensive, DJ with dancing and plenty of room to lounge and chat with friends. They sometimes have food trucks inside, but if not, there are plenty of food trucks outside with other nearby food spots. It's definitely a go-to location.
Cool little barcade my cousins brought me too. The environment is nice and they have a cool games to pick from. There is a food truck next to it and some food choices around to choose from, plus cover charge is free so you can go in and out as you please.
This is by far one of the coolest arcades ive been to. Chill vibes, cold drinks, and lots of retro games to choose from. Also the fights are shown above the bar so you can watch live matches!
Theres no food service just drinks is all you get and retro arcades for $0.25 ping pong for $0.75. I enjoyed it so much if you just want to drink and play thats the place.
A great social environment with bunch of pinball machines and arcade games. Drinks are decent. Overall very fun but a long wait time to get in if you get there late on the weekends.
Love this place. My only grip would be to get Super Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III and either Alpha 2 or Alpha 3. But they still have a great selection of games. Definitely recommend checking this spot out if you're in the area.
Great bar, great arcade, and great drinks. Prices range from 7$ to 9$ for drafts and cocktails on the 15$ to 17$ mark. However, this is an amazing bar/arcade with great seating (indoors and outdoors).
Fun pinball spot, drinks are okay, but make sure to bring something warm. The place is half outdoor half indoor, so it does get pretty cold!
Love his place. Love pinball and old arcade games. I am not very good, but it's fun. Get ready to spend $20 on games ... they are quiet addicting. A bit loud, sometimes you have to wait a little for the game you want. Definitely recommend!
I don't normally write reviews but this is a really awesome bar with one (the only lady working, not to be pointed, but just to be clear) security person who really makes it suck otherwise. I ended up leaving my card behind the bar because of how unbelievably aggressive and unfriendly they were. For reference, I put my drink on the ground for genuinely 15 seconds to get something out of my pocket before they rushed over to reprimand me and essentially force me out. I also spoke with the DJs for the night wh
Chill vibes, Music ?? & environment Staff was amazing! Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice chill night out
My go to bar. It's a fun great place to drink a beer and play some pinball and arcade games. They've changed it since Covid. No longer do you have food trucks or small food vendors there. They expanded space for more guests do it's not that crowded. The only negative thing is that they don't really care if you have a mask on or not and it gets extremely crowded near the bar and the arcade games.
Very cool place with a ton of arcade games. Went with a group of people. There are two separate rooms with games and one is dedicated only to pinball. Nice sized courtyard in the middle. Bartenders were fine, not super nice but fine. Came home to find out I was charged completely different things for the same item on their own drink menu by two different employees but since it was so dark and not itemized I have no idea what was wrong. Or they charged like 4 bucks for a glass of water. Which makes no sense
Great place to either pregame or end the night at. We got the boom town hazy ipa and a mojito
Great place to play video games! Lots of fun! The DJ plays great music!
Really cool spot! Great music and great vibes. 25 cent arcades and all the old school games we all know and love like Galactica and Donkey Kong. This is a great place to have drinks with friends or hang with someone special. The outdoor area is a nice spot to sit and have a great conversation.
Really cool spot, but they need to do something about how they manage their bar, I have never seen a small bar packed like this, was pointless to attempt to buy drinks when there were 70+ people packed in front of a small bar, the other issue was just having to be searched by metal detector / wand, I appreciate the safety aspect , not sure what happened since they didn't do this before, but it does take away from how you feel being in the area.
Great spot to meet friends, hang and chat (outside area) and then play a large array of pinball or retro arcade games! You swap USD bills or quarters for their tokens to use. They had a DJ on Saturday night when I went.
Best Arcade Bar! Lots of Pinball, Strong Selection of video games, nice outdoor area :)
One of my favorite places to visit in the Arts District! Definitely a must visit if you like arcade games. Beautiful outdoor seating. Music is always great and cocktails are delicious.
Cheap arcades and high quality drinks. No cover and pretty chill during the day. They also had a great selection of pinball. I can't wait to go back.
Great drinks and solid selection of arcade classics and mainstays. Pinball lovers welcome!
It is crazy how when you get a little older you appreciate places like this. Such a fun day I had at this bar. Retro games, not as crowded on a Sunday, security was super nice. Bar tenders were nice they got a little more cold around 9pm. Which was kinda a bust. But overall fun place to bring friends to hang and play some games!
Arcade bar with pinball machines. Drinks are good but the bar can get busy after 8pm. Food is stumbling distance away. Be careful, Fighting Game pros can be sighted here so bring your A game or wait for the machine to clear. Either way, you'll have a great time.
Always a fun time! A great place to go on a date or with a group of friends. Classic arcade games and pinball machines combined with a live DJ, full bar and open air seating.
Awesome scene, great execution of the pinball vs arcade themed areas!
The pictures don't really do this place justice. This arcade/bar is such a great vibe on weekend nights. The drinks are good, and they rotate out the pinball machines regularly so there's always something new the next time I stop by. I love grabbing a drink, hitting the pinball arcade, and grooving to the live DJ music. I gave it 4 stars for food because although they don't serve food here, they are right in the middle of an awesome food district. Plenty of options to walk to, grab a quick bite, then jump b
Very busy spot on a Saturday night. Great beer selection with a full bar. Didn't order any drinks besides beer that night. So unfortunately I can't comment on them. But the bartenders are fast and chill. Especially great considering how busy it was. The space is divided in Three areas, one indoor space with arcades a different indoor space with pinball machines and one outside seating area. Solid arcade selection. Classic beat em ups to quirky games from the Atari era that will basically eat one of your to
Really great fun gaming bar. Lots of really popular arcade machines including metal slug, virtua cop, ninja turtles and of course street fighter and mortal kombat. Fun selection of pinball machines too. Some more modern and some more vintage.
Very cool place! I would definitely go back. Great drinks and fun games. I highly recommend!
Never seen pinball machines in better condition. Good cocktails and drinks????
Perfect place for a large group or a date ! The arcade games are really good and not expensive!
This place is a blast. Good drinks, fun old school arcade games and around 20 pinball machines.
A gem in DTLA. All the games work and are surprisingly clean (considering everyone is drinking and eating). The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, and just an overall good vibe. This is the kind of place you can go with your girl, or your boys, or by yourself. lol Great location in terms of parking, restaurants, and other places to go before/after visiting here.
Fun game bar but crowded and wish there were more games.
Spectacular destination for vintage gaming. You better brush up on your street fighter skills before you go, because they project your game on the big screen over the bar so everyone can see Ryu juggle you. Flawless Victory!
I have wanted to go to this place for a while it was not too much of a disappointment it was a nice place especially a good selection of pinball games games. 2 of the arcade games didnt work, and of course, some if them took ur coins without giving u credit. It brings back childhood memories of games that took money without play, lol. Otherwise I would go back there.
I love you ?? ?? But the staff told me they were once locked out because the security forgot about them ??????
Well stocked bar and video game themed drinks. If you come right when they open you have easier access to the game machines but later on it's packed. Overall a fun place to game and have a drink.
Pinball plus arcade and tasty drinks!! It's always fun!! And staff and bartender service is A+++++
I was surprised how near this place was from Little Tokyo! I actually wanted to just walk towards there to check out the place, but lots of homeless people kept approaching me, so I turned tail and just drove. I parked across the way in an automated parking lot. Was approached by another homeless man right before I reached the door. There's a bouncer that checked my ID at the door. Inside, the place is divided into three: the atrium, the bar, and the back. The atrium is where you will be after crossing th
Loved it! I've been here a few times. It gets pretty crowded but has lots of arcade games. They have tokens available at the bar & in token machines.
I was skeptical about this bar, considering how many trendy arcade bars are popping out to cater to the poser hipsters, but to my surprise it had a well balanced crowd. Drinks were reasonably priced and had a decent arcade selection. I'd definitely go back there.
Love this place, every time I come back home to visit my parents I make sure to stop by this spot, I love the vibes and that it's 21+, they sell food and drinks, the pinball machines are so much fun. The best part is the location and how it's walking distance to other cool places around the area.
The bartender stole my card and went on a shopping spree. He seemed to be mad because I didn't give him a giant tip.
Definitely a vibe, best crowd ever. DJ 10/10
This place is the paradise of every child or teenager who lived in the 1990s. Original 80s, 90s, 00s pinball machines all working perfectly. For those who did not grow up in the United States, exchanging notes for coins to play pinball is unprecedented, not having to buy special coins or credit cards, just tossing a 25 cents coin and playing, personally was a dream come true, I felt being teleported to the 90's, I miss what I didn't live. In addition, there is a bar to get drunk, food, DJs on the lounge,
This place is cool ash but the drinks are overpriced. 2 shots of (regular) tequila $30. I recommend drinking beforehand. The games are fun and the crowd is usually vibrant.
I love the 80s video games and pinball machines. They also have a full bar.
Beer and pinball. Great little spot. Love the arcade games and the pinball. Make sure you bring some cash to get tokens so you can play. Great fun I'd agree with others comments about security - the young guy who insisted on carding me was young enough to be my son and the entire search and scan rubbish on the way in was just plain nuts.
i always have a great time in this place; good drinks, beer, amazing classic video games and if youre hungry they normally have a food truck outside.
Good selection of arcade games. Very good beer selection.
Place is cool. I token games, and I mean cool old school arcade games. Definitely recommend this place
A friend and I went to Eighty Two for her birthday. After grabbing our drinks we went to go look for an ATM but for some reason ET does not have them. However, Chava, the gentleman helping clean up glasses was able to hook us up and save the night. Thanks bro
It was tough to find parking around the area. Parked in a lot for an hour and paid $20. It's more of a playground for youngsters. Not my style and ambiance were ghetto. The DJ was good, though. Tbh, I love playing those vintage video games, too. But if I was younger, it would be fine. Basically, I'm trying to turn something positive to not feel like a wasted night.
Really love this place! Good drinks and vintage video games ftw! Wish people would respect the machines though. We literally had to tell a couple to chill out as they where drunkenly punching a pin ball machine.
Cool vibes at a retro arcade/pinball bar. Lotta outdoor space too - but a section of it is quartered off where you can't bring in your booze which is kinda annoying.
I didn't know there. Love the fact that they have the layout all open with there outside patio and smoking area and how it's all open to the two rooms of games. Chill spot. Played Street Flights, Mortal Combat, Mrs Pac-Man, and you have your pic from the big room of pinball machines they should really update their games in that room cuz it's always empty.
AMAZING place if you're into arcade games and you want a change from the regular bar experience. Has many interesting arcade games vintage and new, an entire section of pinball based games.
Great place to hang out with good drinks and retro arcades :)
A lot of fun, great games, many pinball, vaping area and a lot of beers
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
