Customer Reviews

This place is a joke.. all the photos showing a LAN or gaming center are non existent. We drove an hour and a half to find 12 computers tucked behind a shady divider. Upon talking with management, I was told those are old photos and the place is ran down and doesn't look like that? avoid this place? don't waste your time going here.. Very unprofessional & lacking accountability

Terrible games......too many pinball machines.....games won't work.......if you wanna waste $20 and have no fun except regret......COME HERE......if I could post videos I'd show the amount of trash going on in here

Pretty disappointing experience. I'm from out of town and wanted to try out the different things the Sandbox Social had to offer. Everything was a blast until I tried out the PC gaming. Any game I tried, even the super popular ones like Warzone or Apex Legends, needed to be updated. I paid for an hour and spent 50 minutes just trying to update the systems. Eventually I just gave up. To be fair, this issue happens for a lot of similar kinds of places. I wish you didn't have to pay for the time that you spent

At least it looks like you cleaned up a bit in the gaming area but you care more about the rest of the establishment than about there.. computers still slow, prices raised (as predicted) and kids still allowed unsupervised if under 16. You're in the mall and NOT above the rules. Congratulations on the food and drink stuff, yeah not anything affordable and it's family friendly over there? I am glad this is working out for you guys but it's not a place I'd recommend to anyone.

I love this place! This place could use better internet connection sometimes as the pcs are slow, but that's fine as you can do other stuff while the games are downloading/updating. This place can get a bit loud on the weekends sometimes, but honestly I bear through it. There's this very specific group pf people, I don't know if they are above 18 or not, but they are very racist sometimes and it bugs me. But other than that, this place is ok. They made sure you can't bring in outside food or drinks which is

I have held my both my sons' birthday celebrations at this establishment, and I must say that for any of you with children that love to game, this is the place for you. I really felt like I got a lot of "bang for my buck". My kids and their friends and cousins all had a blast. They let us order pizza to have delivered and even offered me the napkins and plates we needed as I had forgotten ours at home. The guy working the counter was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was so great with the kids!

So I took my step son there on 01/27/2023 @ 5pm for his birthday. Also had two of his friends come as well. The price for all of us to play for 3 hours wasn't terrible. I payed the fee and the gentleman took our info for the logins. We chose to play on PC and proceeded to walk over to the pc section. Upon arriving at the stations, I first thing we all stopped and noticed how disgusting everything was. The mouse pads, the tables and keyboards looks as if they never get cleaned. There was crumbs, debris and j

Waited until I had been there a couple of times to write a review. And I can say the staff and facilities are great. Plenty of PC's and consoles for people. Two things you should consider, if you bring in food, you can't take it back to the gaming area. And they don't have to many pairs of headphones so you may want to bring your own.

This is a great place for kids to meet up and play video games they may not have, or if they just want to talk in person. Prices are not too high, and the lock-in is great value. The only problem is there have been some rude employees or some that do not seem to care about the customer as much as they should.

This place has a wonderful environment with an incredible manager and excellent staff members! The prices are fair as well! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who just wants to unwind after a long day to some good video games

Really nice place to go if you are stuck in Terre Haute for a day. Lots of available consoles and PCs with a very attentive staff. Not all consoles will have the exact same games but the big multi-player ones like overwath and many CoD versions will be in all machines. Some cussing around so be mindful if you have a small kid.

Beautiful new store front. Good selection of games. Slight mark up due to being in the mall. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be sure to ask for Simon!

So, i took 2 8 yr olds and a 12yr old. Staff was extremely friendly, the atmoshpere was very relaxed and clean. Not recommended for much smaller children than that, but definitely a family friendly atmoshpere!!

Took my cousin here for the Christmas party. He loved it. He had a blast. Cody was extremely courteous, kind, and helpful with whatever was needed.

Love the environment lots to do adding more all the time. One suggestion though please take dance machine out of gaming area. Very distracting when playing.

The simple fact that the staff actually pay attention to the gamers and will let them know when they need to leave makes me more than happy to give five stars. On a side note, the 17+ section is a little used way to get away from the younger, more disruptive players.

Place is fun, usually gotta download them update whatever you play, seems like that should have already been done...but friendly and cheap

Above and beyond what I expected. Pinball, arcade, axe throwing and mini golf all at reasonable prices. I

A very fun place to take the kids and play games. They have many computers, Xboxes, and Playstation 4 has to choose from. Great staff. They also have snacks available that you can partake in.

This place was really fun me and my friends had such a great time but the only reason i give it four instead of five is cause a lot of the computers didn't work and were super slow we eventually got some to work and had fun all night

The White Bantha Christmas lock-in was awesome, the white elephant gift exchange was a blast and the 3 Free Day passes I received from it was even better. Just wish the games were downloaded more consistently throughout the consoles. It is a pain to sync a controller to 23 different Xbox Ones to find Division 2 on only one console in the entire establishment. But all in all its a blast.

Very,Very fun gave me something to do while my mom, dad, and sister were all busy. Plus when you do buy your game time you can pause it whenever then start it up again for example the next day.

My boyfriend and I came to Ebash in March for our anniversary because we love video games. We drove 3 hours to get there. We thought it would be really fun to check out. When we came in, the guy working told us we could only have 5 hours for $15 each since it was a lock in and it was their busiest night. Which was fine, til we realized their "busiest night" was like 8 elementary schoolers. There were plenty of places to sit left and we weren't bothering anyone. I don't see why we couldn't have stayed til mi

Ebash is a great place to go for a birthday party, D&D session, or any special occasion for a videogame lover! they have games from every consle, oved 30 PC's available for customers, privat rooms for a party, and large tables for D&D players! they also provide snacks for your gameing experience as well as purchaseable items like dice and tradeing cards. lastly, they have 24Hr and 48Hr lock-ins for a party or special occasion, both at a affordable price. if you want to game all night, or gave a good time wi

Very nice gentleman at the desk. And the 2 youth that came enjoyed themselves Thank you and your new location rocks!

A great place to hang out for cheap you can play on computers and video games for 20 bucks all day good if you are a gamer and your kids love the play games

Didn't know what to expect before going but it was nice and my kids enjoyed it but it was also early morning on the weekend so it wasn't busy.

Really cool place with a HUGE selection of gaming systems and computers with most of the top games you'd ever want to play and the staff are always very polite and friendly.

This place was fun and there were plenty places to sit and plenty games to play, the staff are generous people and I really recommend going there if you love games.

Very impressed with the staff. I took my nephew to the Friday Christmas part and was blown away with how well mannered and great everyone was!

I love to come here to spend time with friends who can't afford to own a console. This place has a lot to offer with a cool atmosphere and great employees.

Its was great quite but had some good people there playing games. Employee was very nice and chill.

A great place to take a break and relax. Family friendly atmosphere. Cody and the gang will take great care of you.

Very clean, modern, and well ran operation. Nice PCs, comfortable chairs, and high quality peripherals. Will visit again!

Very casual, including at the door. Advanced equipment ready for use. Food&Drink are gas station prices, be warned.

Great place to take the kids and if you like video games "like me" there is plenty to keep me occupied to

Great machines and a plentiful selection of games. They're selling table top board games as well with a decent, if small, selection.

would recommend for anyone travelling across to meet up with other gamers to sit down and eat white castle for a week straight.

My sons love this place. We have done several birthdays here and many many lock ins.

Awesome place for entertaining several or just a few hours alone...Great and reasonable prices too

Great and safe place for kids. Very affordable .will return .staff is really polite and informative

Love the gaming area but the night shift guy from 7:30pm to 12:00am was extremely rude

I remember going in the past it was fun, hope my next visit is even better.

Complicated to sign up. Not usually a worker inside. But overall pretty good and friendly.

Needs 2 rooms for older customers. Hard to deal with younger crowd when busy. Especially for the lock-ins.

The facility is clean and has a good staff. More important great gaming PCs.

New start-up in South TH, grand opening soon on DEC 30. Come support this new installation in TH!

I love the variety of games they have and I believe that any gamer could walk in and find a game they like

This place is not what I expected and they can give you some paid overnight with their video game lock in

Very clean and friendly environment, the worker was very attentive

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
