Dust Bowl Bar and Grill

Had an SOLID green chile burger along with the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. I was a little apprehensive that the food was gonna be off due to it being a bowling ally / family center. The menu was also large but they delivered on the food. Ordered the burger medium rare with the sweet potato fries. Absolute heaven. Glad I stopped and my only gripe is that I'm only driving through.

Stopped in on a cross country roadtrip from Spokane to San Antonio. Ordered some food for lunch - was greeted and treated with a smile. Recommend the patty melt.

My family used to own the bowling alley when it was Dalhart Bowl. So I was shocked by the changes and renovations when I first walked in. The food is some of the best in town. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They saved the original lane markers and have them hanging up throughout the bowling alley and restaurant as wall art. They have an updated arcade for the kids where they can go play when they're done eating or waiting on food. I'm just really impressed with everything done to change and modern

This place is a fun little place! Seems similar to Pinstack/Maine Event/Dave & Buster's. We stopped here during a long road trip and my friends did NOT want to go in! They said it looked too sketchy from the outside! They said, "There are no windows!" It was hilarious because when we went in, it looked super cool and fun! We just ate there and didn't play any games but the food was good! I enjoyed it.

We had our parents 50th Anniversary surprise party there. The wait staff the food the atmosphere was just all great and of course I definitely recommend it

A pleasant surprise. I had the green chili burger and it was delicious. My son had the dust bowl burger and it looked like it had two 1/2 lb patties, just huge.

Maybe it was the great food (the Reuben is heavenly). Maybe it was the service- the waitress was phenomenal. Or maybe it was the atmosphere, because the people I was with are some of the best to ever walk this Earth. Anyway you put it, 10/10 will absolutely be back!

They have a varied, interesting menu. The Reuben with sweet potato fries was quite good. The Southwest Chicken was very good. It is loud in there, but a fun place for local people. There were people of all ages and it was a comfortable, down-home atmosphere. The Map told us to drive around the back from the east through a small RV park... don't go that way! Friendly service and fun atmosphere! It would have been great if you could have put a smaller amount on a gamecard but $20 was more than I wanted to spend passing through. The food was tasty and we ordered the special, hamburger and steak fingers. I did not like being hit with an uncharged for a substitute of removing fries.

In the top 3 of the chicken fried steaks I've had in my life. I'm a professional big back, so I've had lots.

The food was okay. My mashed potatoes didn't taste right but the waitress was too busy talking in the back to come and see how our food was. She was very rude and when I told her about the potatoes she just dismissed us.

Went to dust bowl for fish and chips and it the best fish around here. The waitress made a mistake. She apologized and I told her no problem we all make mistakes. I love eating fish and chips at the fish bowl. Thanks so much for everything.

Highly recommend, we were passing through on a road trip from East TN, service was great, I ask for food recommendations from our waitress and ordered the green chili ham and cheese with onion rings, it was one of the best sandwiches I've had, my hubby ordered a burger with fries and it was great as well. I came expecting it to be "ok" and entertain the kids for an evening while traveling. Wrong! It is AMAZING! The food is so much better than you would expect. Totally blown away to have the best wings I've ever had. For real. Cold beer, good pizza, clean. This place is a diamond in the rough.

The best chicken fried steak I've ever eaten! And I am a CFS connoisseur. The crust was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of crunch and the meat was so tender it almost melted in your mouth. The green beans & onion rings were also very good.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years and it is always dependable. The food will be good, the restrooms and the restaurant will be clean. Has a small town feel, everyone knows everyone in the place.

We stopped overnight in Dalhart, Tx on our way home to Abilene, Tx from Colo Springs last night. My grandson picked The Dust Bowl for dinner, Monday, 8pm. I had a generous portion of chicken fried steak/gravy, green beans and onion rings. The chicken fried steak was hands down the VERY BEST I have ever eaten! It was sooo tender and the crust was light and crunchy and a large portion. The green beans were seasoned very well and the onion rings were fresh and crunchy! Wow! This is a five star place! And

went in there to eat we were starving plus we were from out of town. Went in to order. they took the people order of food in front of us. But when it was our turn we couldn't order. they said their kitchen was too hot and were way behind, but you could order appetizers. cute place but if u see a lot of cars there don't go cuz they get too overwhelmed

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was at the Dust Bowl Bar and Grill. Arcades and bowling alleys are not known for their food. From the chicken fried steak to the salmon salad this restaurant is a 5 star place.

Spending half your time in an over priced bowling alley waiting for lanes to be serviced was kinda lame. At least once a frame with 5 people we had to wait on a high school kid to try to fix issues, scores were irrelevant because it would randomly assign strikes and spares. Lane beside us was having the same issues as well. Food side was good but nothing could make up for the bad bowling experience, I wasn't even the one that paid and I still feel ripped off.

Take out! Coming from Maine , never been that keen on tacos or any Mexican foods! I love salads so decided to try the taco salad bowl. It was one of the best foods I've eaten here in Texas. Any side I wanted ! Excellent!!!

For the title to be "Dust Bowl" & (as a person that loves to bowl) you would think the pricing would be more bowler friendly especially in a small town as well as it being during the week lol. (Common sense ain't too common these days I played myself on that one) I was kind of excited to be passing through town and maybe get a game or two in (which I do often), But unfortunately @ almost $30 & after asking the 4th employee I finally got the pricing details ??. This place was awesome to me. I was passing through town and had to find a place to stay and something to eat. The young lady that answered the phone was my waitress she made everything wonderful as far as having options help me find their location when the GPS failed,the pizza I ordered was great. I will definitely be back whenever I'm coming through dalhart and I recommend everyone to come to this place.
