My boyfriend and I always have such a great time here. The vibe/atmosphere is always fun which makes it very easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. The bowling alley inside is one of my favorite things to do. It's perfect for families or just adding something extra to the night. Drinks are affordable, especially for a downtown spot. We loved this place! They were very accommodating after a weather change during our elopement. We had the most memorable time bowling and dancing the night away. The band even let my sister and best friend sing with them for our "first dance."

We were doing some Christmas shopping this weekend and picked Downtown Social as our new place to try. The menu looked great, as we're the reviews. Went out for some food and drinks on Friday evening. Drinks are somewhat expensive but the overall vibe is nice. The rooftop seating was comfortable and chill vibes.

I love this place. It's a great place to hang out with friends and families alike. We had so much fun playing ping pong. Next time, I'd like to try bowling and something from their main menu. We had the beignets as we had already had dinner when we arrived. They were phenomenal.

We were there with friends so that made it fun but getting a drink from the bar was almost impossible later in the evening. We waited a good 10 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged us. It wasn't her fault though. She was working hard & made good drinks but she had way too many people to serve. They need more bartenders.

The best, most flavorful burger in town so far. It was juicy and large. The bun was exquisite. The fries had a unique seasoning that had sugar in it. The waiter was very pleasant and quick. This place is a must see. Part bar part restaurant.

This place was a lot of fun. They had games and bowling along with a bar, tables and a stage for live music! The atmosphere and staff were wonderful. Perfect for a date night or a night out with friends.

The first thing that stands out from our visit was the great customer service. Our waitress Sydney was amazing. Herself along with other staff members kept checking on us throughout the night. Live band was playing. Beer was cold. We got the fried pickles, pizza and then a shake. Fried pickles were good, they are a tad spicy. Pizza was ok. Milk shake was great! Very spacious place to watch games, bowl, or play games like pool or arcades. Def recommend this spot!

A bit pricey and the food was ok. We went with a group. My food was fine but a couple others had to send back theirs. I ordered fries with my burger but never got them. The service was great and I personally left a 10.00 tip, but then a girl in my group pointed out that the tip was included in the bill!! I won't be going back.

Downtown Social is a bar in New Braunfels. They have music nightly, either live music or a DJ. It also has a mini bowling ally inside. How great is that? If your not a bowler that's fine, there are video games great bartenders, drinks and great atmosphere. I went on a Thursday night. Definitely a great date night place. They have bowling and ither games but its pretty pricey so not sure if we would take our kids since we are a family of 7 and that can add up. But drinks are amazing especially the Smores Martini and the food is good.

Nice place for dinner and drinks. Has three separate areas for dinner, lounge, and games. Food is pretty good too. Had the guac burger and it was really good. Draft Bier selection was a long list. Wish they had Guadalupe brewing Co though. Lots of parking around area. Next door to Pour Haus which is also awesome for live music after dinner.

Has a blast spending the day at Downtown Social watching College football. The bartender, Jacob made our visit so much better. His attitude and friendliness was a great addition to his mastery of making drinks. Long live the mixologist!! We will be back soon!

Awesome place to catch Roots and Branches. The pizza we had was delicious and fairly priced. The service is always excellent!

This was our FIRST time and it is a great place on the weekend for Kid's Birthday parties, family fun days, or any other event. On weekends you can park across the street as those businesses are closed and do not mind.

Fun, lively environment. Young staff, good service. Ordered the large size for one of their specialty pizzas and we agreed that it was one of the best pizzas we've had in a long time. Fried Chicken and Beignets were incredible as well. The Downtown Social also has one of the best mojitos I've ever had. Always a good time here!

This is a go to spot that always has seating, good service, food and cold beer on tap. Lots of room for the kids to keep occupied by the games, shuffleboard or bowling. A family friendly place.

We went there last night for a date night. We wanted a quiet but fun dinner. We have been here years ago & the menu has gone down hill & so has the kitchen staff apparently. There were also a whole lot of kids RUNNING everywhere. I felt bad for the hostess as she was playing babysitter & cattle herder all night. We reserved an area for an evening gathering for our Symposium attendees. The catered food was very good (roasted brussels sprouts were my favorite!), drink options were great, and service was outstanding. The only complaint was the food that was vegan and/or gluten free was not labeled and placed in a slightly separate area.

Great place to go with kids or without! We went with our two young boys and they had a blast playing all the games and bowling. The food is slightly above average bar food, the drinks are amazing though!

I loved this placed 09/22 the DJ kicked my boy friend out because he requested a song and didn't tip him. So unprofessional and all 15 of us left. The staff said they had to listen but really ruined our experience hopefully this never happen to anyone won't come again. You shouldn't either.

This was my first time here, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great, the service was awesome, and the drinks were on point! Then a DJ started playing, and that kicked up the atmosphere even more! I enjoyed this venue and will definitely be back! Highly recommended

The burgers are great. Disappointed that they no longer have higher end items on the menu. The atmosphere has become more like a warehouse. It used to be more cozy with couches and such to hang out.

Very fun place for a party and the atmosphere was very live. Customer service was a tad slow but always good. It smells like a dirty, wet towel in there. Probably, because it turns into a club after 9 p.m. and a bunch of drunks spill their drinks everywhere. The floor was so sticky. Definitely not the cleanest place to have a party!

It's a cool spot to hang out with friends if you don't want a complete bar setting. There are games and a bowling alley. Had my company Christmas party here. The atmosphere was amazing and my employees had a blast. I can't for the life of me remember our waiters name but he did an amazing job. Great place! Good food. And fun for everyone with a massive bar, bowling lanes, video games, etc. Overall great spot. Like anywhere service is hit or miss depending on who you get, but they mostly do very well.

A Saturday night. Seated at 7:45. Ordered a rare burger and got it well done, and nothing else on the plate. Busser who promised to bring the fries didn't for 20 minutes and the waitress didn't come back in that time. After we finished eating we didn't get out check for an hour. Server spent a lot of time at other tables. Seems that because we were 4 adults and 7 kids she didn't pay as much attention to us. (No alcohol so smaller tip?). I can only guess.

It's all what you make it. Was there for an event so it was great! However, a lot of their games are out of order and broken so only one skee-ball, no pool, one bowling lane out of order, another bumpers inoperable. It would be great if they could fix some of those things to be more kid friendly. Also maybe an ATM on site for the games. We are new in town and looking for a happy hour place. We read on their website about the happy hour specials and decided to give this place a try. (There were 4 specialty drinks listed for $6 each and 3 apps also for $6 each) When we asked about these specials we were told that the website is ?in the process of being updated? and that none of these are actually valid. What a gem! Large space but not crazy loud. Lots of places for different groups to gather. We had a little holiday party for our office and it was perfect! This is going on our rotation of monthly happy hours!

This is a great bar restaurant with lots to do. The food is delicious and will fulfill all your desires for greased good and delicious burgers. The waitress, Samantha, was managing a party of 20 and I couldn't say enough good things about her hard work and ability to accommodate so many people. My family have frequented Downtown Social for years and I literally cannot think of a time we've gotten together here and had a bad time. First of all, the layout of the building is great. It's very open and inviting and the atmosphere is hip and modern. Secondly, the food is delicious. Ample options and great service from the staff. Finally, there is so much to do here! I went with my boyfriend on St. Patrick?s Day and it was so packed my phone got stolen and then the bouncer said I had too much to drink and kicked me out. Took extended family of 12 here. Rented two bowling lanes. The pizza?s were delicious. They have that real fire oven flavor, great fresh ingredients and super flavorful sauce. The cocktails were well priced and very good. The staff was super attentive and helpful with ordering and the lanes. Definitely coming back to this playground. Love it.

It's a fun little place. Have a small bowling alley, arcade, pool, ping pong, and a decent selection of beers. Prices are about normal for this type of place but nothing is excellent or eclectic. The place has a stage and bands play there on weekends, with probably 150 people able to cram in. Not a bad place at all.

Bartenders are rude. You stand at bar for 10 or more minutes and the bartender has a friend come up and they immediately help them and when you bring it to their attention they claim you are yelling at them. Never mind the loud music that you have to yell over, but because the bartender is wrong and you have been drinking so you are the one in the wrong and guess who goes to jail.

The food is always good here. However, the last time I was here I had to inquire about my drink 3 times before it was finally served about 35-40 minutes later. I was with a group of about 12 people and when our food and beverages were served they came without napkins, utensils, straws or even plates for the starters. Love this place! We just celebrated my daughter?s 16th birthday there! The staff was AMAZING!! She had the best time bowling & eating GREAT food with her friends!!! A special thank you to Dylan ( one of the staff) who was so attentive to ALL of our needs!! He was super fast, attentive, and did it all with a smile! First timer at this great spot downtown New Braunfels! I loved it! Bowling, private events, a patio, and I was told you could take your food to the popular bar nextdoor! Fun place, music not too loud. Our server was very friendly and attentive. My foid was good, too! Good portion sizes for a big eater like me. Prices were average. $12 for a burger meal. I definitely wanna return and spend more time there. Oh yeah and they have a stage for bands to play, too!

Perfect spot for every text in regardless of age. You'll see folks better happy and enjoying life in their '80s and kids playing on the arcade games. The pizza is definitely worth stopping in even if you're not a social person. Did I mention they have an arcade and a bowling alley!
