We did just the arcade. A handful of games weren't available which I get things break but I found it super weird that none of the games gave back tickets. You just played and that was it and some even advertised winning tickets. Overall my kid was stoked so I can't complain but it would be cool if there was an option to earn tickets/cash them in.
Destination Fun is hands down one of the best spots in the Outer Banks! ?? The Laser Tag arena is next-level with Delta Strike equipment?feels like you're inside a video game with the epic sound system and glowing battlefield. ???? The Hot Rod Bumper Cars are a blast too?fast, smooth, and super fun for both kids and adults. The arcade is packed with brand-new games, from racing to claw machines, and everything in between. The vibe, the energy, the setup?everything is just amazing. Whether you're local or vi
Understanding this establishment is undergoing a change of ownership is the only reason this is a 3 and not a 1. Half the games either didn't work, took your credits with no play, or broke halfway through playing. Ontop of that no employees to help and the prize machine not operating properly.
Very fun arcade! Lots of games like a dave and busters for anyone who might be familiar with that. Also has bumper cars which arent too fast, but can still give you quite a jolt and are a lot of fun.
Amazing bumper cars , Boys had so much fun , Very nice Arcade
This is an enjoyable spot at the beach to spend a few hours with the kids out of the heat. They won't break the bank either and are really well maintained and clean. Large variety of things to do and plenty of parking. The laser tag here is really great! So many levels and areas to hide and transit from, and it last a solid time, not one of these minute to play places. Super cool guns too, they have two modes for sharp shooting or up close battle. I don't even play laser tag and this was really fun for me a
This place has it all! Laser tag, Mini glow golf, arcade games and bouncy houses! The only thing better than this was the prices. We went on a Sunday so it was a bit slow. No competition for Laser tag. The owner let us take a quick look at the arenas to let us know it might not be as fun without other players. we opted to try. Still very fun since the arena was large and well decorated! Highly recommend. *pictures are of the Mini glow golf, didn't get any of the laser tag
I'm 41 years old. I came with two friends of the same age and one of our 10 year olds. We played laser tag and a bunch of video games. It was wild and fun and sweaty. Lots of yelling (and unintentional running). Well worth the coin for a healthy bit of fun. Hope to bring my family back next time we're in town.
I use to love this arcade but now I HATE it half the games don't work there is only one worker the prizes are crappy!!! Not recommended
We had so much fun in here! It's a smaller, quieter place that is perfect for our small group. The outer space mini golf room was sooooo darn cool! The artwork on the walls was amazing and it felt out of this world. A cool experience for such a low price, and a great place to take pictures with aliens and spaceships. The arcade has a lot of good new games.
Terrible No employees! Went to OBX Laser Tag down the street and it's much better!!!! Go their if you want to have fun!!!
Fun time, fair enough price to play games and helpful staff
The arcade area is clean and there are plenty interesting games that I have never seen before (eg: digital beer pong, giant screen pac man, and many more). I like playing the skeetball and air hockey the most. I would just point out that the games require a game card that you load money onto. To buy a game card you had to use cash only and the machine wasn't excepting credit/debit cards. The atm was also out of order. That could be bummer if you don't carry cash with you.
Half of the games weren't even on and when they powered up they just shut off again!!
No laser tag, no bounce house. Just a loud arcade
This place straight up is not fun. When we asked to pay to go mini golf, the hostess said, "are you sure? It's not that great". Confirmed: it is not that great. Everyone is rude, no one wants to be there...it's just....not fun.
"3D" golf was difficult to navigate, not clear where holes started, where they go etc , arcade games ran out of tickets multiple times, bounce area missing balls for baseball, staff seemed to not really care about anything
I'm not sure if the several 5 star reviews accompanied by no text are fake, but this place is not a ?fun? destination. There really aren't that many games, and several of them are broken or didn't work properly. My biggest complaint is the price. It's about $20 for only 80 credits, which comes down to about $3 a game! I've been to arcade bars in major cities that are wayyy less expensive. It's a ridiculous price for how small/dysfunctional of an arcade this place is. The prizes?they are just horrible. The s
We paid $5 each for Bumper cars.....and it lasted 2 MINUTES ONLY!!! Pay to Play: $10 for 40 credits, etc., and games are 4, 8, and 10 credits each. I get it, it's the Beach, but this is RIDICULOUS!!
Great fun for the whole family, bummer that laser tag ends at 8.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. But half the games are out of order and only bathroom working.
A lot of the video games weren't working properly. They wouldn't keep score, so you couldn't get your points. The employee said, " It was OK because it's just to have fun." The bumper cars area is really, really small. Maybe only big enough for 2 cars, maybe 3 cars.
If I compare it with other game place, it is a very clean, high quality and beautiful place. It was worth every penny we paid. Especially Laser Tag is definitely worth seeing. Next time I'll go just to take pictures. Time flies, every minute was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend!!!
Decent enough place. Only has one bathroom and the credit card readers on the places you get the cards to play arcade games at were broken. The selection of games were nice. Laser tag took a while to cycle through and it took a while for the numbers to cycle through, and the laser tag tickets were easy to lose. Overall a good place to bring your family.
Kids and adults had a fun time playing games.
It's expensive and pretty small. The average game costs $2.00 per play. Game cards where 1 credit was$ .25. The prizes were cheaper than Chuck e. Cheese's. Bumper cars were way too expensive, $5.00 per driver, the kicker was for a child or passenger, and it was a $4.00 fee. My advice was to save money and play a card or board game it would be more fun.
This is a great place! Fun for all ages. The staff was very friendly. We got to check out the mini golf before playing and we loved it!! I had such a good time in there and felt like I was in space. Such good art on the walls. The bounce section for kids was down but we played in the bouncy house and bounce top that was up. The arcade is great too! Awesome new games, several racing games, halo, and so much more. Come by here with friends, family or by yourself for some fun! We didn't do laser tag yet but ma
Lazer tag here was awesome! Under 10 bucks a person. The kids and I had an absolute blast. The arcade on the other hand is a bit of a gimmick. Games are pricey and the point system on the cards is a bit shady. The prizes are also cheaper if your into that. The lazer tag arena was the reason for the higher rating. The place is clean and staff was friendly
We have been going here when we came down for years and it was decent however, this year it seems like the cost went up to buy points, the game prices went up, and the prize tickets prices went up. Maybe the laser tag would be good, but avoid the arcade.
Some employees were very rude and left our experience of a fun game negatively, I would not recommend. We were stopped early for the laser tag game and the workers were in such a hurry that they did not even display scores and we were yelled at when asked to view scores. Then were told that we were not able to exchange our arcade credits for prizes. The woman working the laser tag was unprofessional and rushed through instructions and when a player asked nicely for clarification she said ?Just wait?. Our gr
Fun place but rude workers ruin that. Arcade games are fun but very pricey and not working. We played laser tag and the woman running it was pushing us in and out and would not let us view our scores at the end. Overall, my experience was disappointing and there are better places around to go to. Save your time and money.
Guy working the prizes was very patient kind and fun. Many games were out of order so you lost expensive credits on them if you didn't know before hand. Lady running laser tag was extremely rude to everyone including the kids. Lots of fun games when they work, cool place just several rude employees. Again the one guy was great!!
Short story: poor customer service and waste of our money. Long story: We were looking forward to a family friendly outing for our oldest son to enjoy some arcade games and laser tag. It went well at first until time for laser tag. We paid for two passes, one for me and one for our son. We were told to watch the number above the door that leads to laser tag. When it matched the number we were given, head to the waiting area. The number said 7 at the time we got the tickets. We were given an estimate of 35
There are a lot of machines out of order ( especially the ones that just pay out tickets) the machine to buy game cards are out of order too, so you have to go to the counter. Okay for rainy day activities. We did Lazer tag which was fun and bumper cars. Arcade is lacking for the price
Lots of fun games, 3 stars for lazer tag and arcade varitey. -2 stars for urine smell, as well as it being overly crowded. There are so many people for the space (a lot smaller inside than it looks from the outside)
The machines costs 7-8 credits per game. Not worth the money. Prizes are all garbage and too expensive for the amount of money you put on the card. Do not bring your kids here for the arcade. Laser tag was fun but everything else was no good.
Loved the arcade area and putt putt (3year old played free) start points were faded. The bounce house area is only blown up for 2 kids min however there was one small house for kids 3 and under for free. Overall this was a great, cool place for us to get a break from the sun. Not crowded on this lovely Sunday. Had a great time !
Half of the machines are out of order. The max capacity is 134 people and there were definitely more people. No one was wearing masks. We paid $30 for "credits" and we're able to play like 6 games, which we had to stand in line for because that place is so small... All in all, we spent 15 min here.
We went to play laser tag and had a great time. It was just the 4 of us and the game was a nice length. Workers were friendly and got us into our game quickly. The facility was very clean.
We went here initially for laser tag. We played a 15 minute game. It was fun. Then we went on the bumper cars. They are faster than most bumper cars we have been on. Which was fun. But then our mistake was buying cards for the arcade. $100 lasted maybe 15 minutes and that was stretching it. Most of the games took 6 credits. Some took 15. There were a couple that took 3. But the money went way too fast to even get any playtime. Way overpriced game time. And we would know. We go to arcades everywhere we go. T
Seems great enough, but truly isn't. Arcade games are alright, credits are overpriced and a claw machine is like a $4 play. Bumper cars was not working when I went. Employees are irate and rude, slow to offer help. Played laser tag and the girl running it pushes us in and out with no guidance and when asking about scores at the end I was shoved out. Overall not the greatest experience. Probably would not go back.
Conplete rip off do not go. This place needs to be shut down. Absolutely the worst arcade I've ever been to. The machines are all rigged to not give you the correct amount of tickets. Had to argue with staff when pointing out issues with all machines. Clearly not a broken machine as several different games diddid same thing.
Went here while in Nags Head on vacation. Great spot for some family fun! We were a bit disappointed that there were no inflatables up when we went- aside from a small one. Other than that, the games were fun! This may be a good spot for older kids (8-15), as my son was too young for the laser tag and mini golf. Thank you for a fun time!
such friendly staff, they helped all my family & were so nice with the kids. Lazer tag's so much fun. It was our firsr time there, we won jackpots on the Ticket Monster, twice, it was amazing! Prices & prizes are reasonable, I love it, Kids got what they wanted ??
Don't be fooled by their rating, they give out free tokens if you show them you rated them 5 star. The arcade was cool but a few games were out of service. The main reason I'm giving it a one star is due to their advertisement for a kids play area similar to a McDonald's play place. It does not exist. They replaced it with a VERY small bumper car area.
Very underwhelmed. The black light mini golf was cool, but hard to navigate because the holes weren't clearly marked. The bounce area when we went was non-existent (most deflated and not running). Arcade was cool and we didn't get shorted on any tickets. We were there with our 3yo so we didn't check out laser tag.
Please update hours, came at 5:00 on a Wednesday and doors are locked.
The staff who attended us was very nice. We had chosen to do laser tag and she let us know that it would be dark and loud in consideration to my daughter. Friendly and clean environment. My daughter had a blast.
Great staff! Lots of fun activities!
Went here for mini golf but that's closed because of COVID. Ok, went to the arcade for a little while instead. It's the usual tourist trap situation. The games are insanely priced but I guess that's what you expect on a vacation. Staff was very nice but we probably won't be back just for the arcade.
Just visited the arcade. Was clean. All games worked well and most were modern. Many "ticket giving" machines with basic over valued prizes for ticket redemption. But games were fun. Bounce house zone seemed nice but we did not utilize. Also later tag and 3D mini golf not utilized. Staff was on hand also. Bathrooms too.
Pretty cool entertainment spot, a bit small on the arcade side, but still a great trip overall
I came in during Spring Break and it's practically empty so my 4 girls don't have to wait for a game. People are slowly trickling in. I will say, this is a small arcade, but what I'm impressed by is the cleanliness. There is a Happy Birthday area near the bumper cars that would be great for a small party.
Was visiting the OBX it was rainy so we went here for something fun to do. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The prices were very responsible. My nine year old had a great time playing laser tag and in the arcade. If you are looking for something fun to do on a rainy day I would highly recommend going here.
4 people had a very enjoyable time with Laser Tag, Bumper Cars and Arcade Games. Laser Tag was $9 per person. It was quite appropriate. We played two games. We paid $16 per person. Bumper Cars was $5 for 3 minutes. The person working was very kind. Discounted for 2 rounds. We bought game cards for arcade games. Games work with credits. 1 credit was 25 cents. We generally preferred video games. It was between 4-6 credits. In fact, 20 bucks is enough to try all the games. But if you want to play more, 50 is f
Nice place with at little something for kids of all ages. Decent arcade but ticket payout is the lowest I've ever seen. No $0.25 games that I saw, seemed to range between $0.50 and $3.00 per play, golf and laser tag are each separate and reasonably priced considering location. All in all its a decent place, as clean add one would expect, nut bring plenty of sanitizer, booger eaters are running rampant and I see no antimicrobial cleansers being used.
Great arcade for all ages! All of the employees there are friendly as can be too. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to have more fun than they already will while at the Outer Banks.
ridiculous, that's all I can say. claw machines are rigged, prizes are way to over priced, I blew 60 bucks here and got 1000 tickets and I left with a keychain. do not be fooled my the reviews, the arcade in the place is not very good. now the bumpers cars are fun I will give them that, and I haven't done laser tag so I can't say anything about that. but I'm and very disappointed with my experience here.
Bright lights and colorful atmosphere was very attractive. The ladies at the prize counter were friendly and helpful. Only improvement- more restrooms. The unit available was clean and well stocked, but there was only one and a line formed quickly.
Run down in areas of rides. Pricey for using the games. The rewards under 400 tickets were ridiculous. $20 used in ten minutes. Workers very unfriendly. Bathrooms were not well kept.
About 20-25% of the games are broken here, and there are no staff members visible to fix them. The only two staffers are at the counter, which has a long line and is the only place to get prizes and ride tickets. I'm presently sitting on a game that's accepting tokens and not working, so that other people don't get ripped off. They gave us tickets for bumper cars, which are not working. The women's room has one stall out of order, and is kinda gross.
Just left the place....About 20% of the machines are broken or out of service. This is right after they just extended their hours/days. Make sure your machines work before extending the amount of days you are open....very poor ownership and decision making there. Ticket redemption prizes (costs) are extremely high compared to nearby arcades. Website says they have mini golf, but they do not. Lady behind the counter said they can't update their website and it's broken. Can they fix anything? Save your time a
Bit slower at counter side, but during peak afternoon times there was plenty to do for a 3 attraction place. Easily kill an hour here just doing laser tag and mini golf. The arcade is a fair size and lots of games and skill for all ages
A good time for a rainy day at the beach. Inflatables for kids to play on (one for child 3 and under!), 9 holes of black light putt-putt and then lots of arcade fun. My kids especially loved the DC superhero game called ?injustice?. Could have been a bit cleaner and well kept. Overall...a fun time!!
I brought my 2.5 yr old here, I was a little disappointed that they don't have the bounce house area anymore like you see in the pictures but there was still plenty to do. The guy working was on his phone the whole time and didn't even greet us when we walked in, I walked up to the counter and said "excuse me" then he finally walked over (still on his phone) and then stood Infront of me and finished his text before he even looked up at me.
My wife and I carried the children here while on vacation. There are lots of games for kids of all ages. My family enjoyed the games and the laser tag. The staff was very friendly and very kind to my children. Overall, we had a great experience.
Nice bounce area for youngins while older kids play laser tag. Arcade only takes cash though. You can rate on Google maps to get $5 free in arcade, but they make you rate 5 stars.
Laser tag was a lot of fun. Two levels with lots of space to move around. Kids and adults had a blast! Highly recommended! On a rainy day, get there when they open to avoid the crowd.
My husband and son loved the laser tag!!!! The arcade is super clean and has a lot of fun games. Also a nice place for mom to sit and hen she's tired from the beach hahahah!!!!
This is a nice place, but can get WAY overstuffed with people. When it's rainy, the place has 200+ people and a small staff of three people at the counter. However, the facility is nice and the games are all operational, as well as the laser tag and putt putt golf. I would recommend going on a weekday or when it's not rainy and you're sick of the beach.
We brought our 4 and 7 year olds here and they had a blast! The bounce houses aren't available due to COVID, but the arcade games and bumper cars are worth it!
It was ok. People were Great!!! Didn't take long to go thru all the games .. no blacklight golf. Atmosphere needs something and more games would be good. Again the ppl were great!!
Destination fun is a really nice place to hang out with younger kids and let them bounce in inflatables, or go enjoy some fun laser tag and great arcade games! Every year we come down we stop by here to beat the heat for a couple of hours and have some fun out the sun. Great place for family as well and employees always do a great job and happy to help and assist in any way they can. Place is very well Maintence and clean. Good fun for the family visiting OBX!
I decided to take my family down to the Nags Head area for a nice day trip, and we all agreed on laser tag as one of attractions we wanted to visit. The laser tag part was super fun!!! They also had an arcade area. There was this one game where you had to knock the clowns down. Well, this one customer decided he was gonna hog it the whole time & my daughter really wanted to play that game, so I said something to the owner about it. He did ask them to play other games so she could play, but his demeanor was
Amazing Customer Service! Went to play Laser Tag, 4 adults and a 9 year old. When we were ready to play my 9 year old daughter got scared saying the music was too loud, the young man working the Laser Tag over heard my daughter and calmly walked up and asked her if she would like the volume turned down. He went in a backroom, lowered the volume, and asked her if the volume level was ok. She decided to make another attempt to go in, this time she stated it was too dark, without any hesitation the young m
We went to get away from the rain and so did everyone else! They were packed! I understand they don't dictate the traffic flow there but you could hardly walk through. It was probably a fire hazard! There were a few games that were down. I had at least 3 games take my quarters. My nephew had 2 games run out of tickets and a few take his money too! I understand things happen but there weren't enough people to help remedy it! It took forever to get someone to come over! Oh, worst part? The is 1 toilet for the
Fun place, friendly helpful staff. Arcade games are a bit on the high side, but that's just about all arcades. Great new games in arcade. Did not do laser tag or indoor mini-golf, but sounds great for a rainy day.
If you want to visit an 'arcade' where you can part with your money and get little enjoyment in return this is the place. No true arcade games as you might expect but rather games that pay out credits for utterly worthless trinkets. If you understand this you'll be better off.
Did the 3D Minigolf with a group. It wasn't the most amazing thing, but the cashier made sure we looked at the course before we purchased tickets so we knew what to expect. That was a nice thing to do, and honestly for $6.50 it was a good value! I recommend it, but don't expect too much!
I'm giving this establishment one star because that's the lowest it will allow me to rate it. A solid negative number seems more applicable. To be fair we did visit in the off season. The one staff member that was working was unatentive. He seemed to be determined to spend the most time sitting around as possible. No other employees were present to supervise use of the golf and laser tag areas so he suggested my group check them out independently. We decided to play arcade games instead of laser tag or golf
My kids and husband had so much fun here! The parking lot looked busy but once inside things are spread out and there is plenty of room for everyone! A great place for some fun at the beach when the weather isn't ideal.
Came here at 1145 and the doors were shut and locked. Another group with 3 vehicles came by as we were leaving and left after us. If you are not going to be open at the very least write a note on the door. This place clearly doesn't care about it's patrons. We went to the children's museum instead and had a great time.
A bit underwhelming. Website said they had over 60 arcade games. I counted and counted 28. The bounce house was pretty small and was $8.50 for the day. All of the equipment was outdated. Won't go again.
Was thoroughly unimpressed. The kids bounce house area had one option to play on, my 3 year old got bored fairly quick. We also tried the 3d laser tag...expensive per person and very simple. The blacklight effects were pretty cool, but the course itself was about as bland as it gets. Once again, my 3 year old was very bored very fast. Seems like a entertaining and good idea, but for us it definately was not worth it!
Not much to do here. A lot of the games we tried were broken. Laser tag was fun, but the equipment was faulty. One of our players had to just sit out because they gave her two different vests and neither worked. She had already missed a good chunk of the game arguing with the tech about the equipment not working, so she just sat out. The rest of us had similar issues, only ours worked intermittently. We were able to play, but our equipment, though placed an inch from our opponent would not work. We found ou
Bumper cars were fun, some of the arcade machines were enjoyable, but the point to cost ratio is awful and the prizes were boring even for an arcade. The windows are also blacked out making it so walking outside hurt our eyes.
It's a great place for kids (or all ages ).. and plenty to keep the kids entertained. . I would say great for kids party's, as we observed at a grandsons party. As well as you can bring in your own drinks, snacks ect. And to rent for 2 hrs. Is close to $100.00 but I would say ,check out any coupons, or even go on ... Groupon' to get a better deal. But all in all, it's a great place for the kids to have fun and even adults, in some cases.. so I'd recommend for family and party groups, on top of, not fo
I brought my 2 year old because there is a photo of a bounce house. We got there, waited in a long line (there were 2 people working on the same register), just to get to the front and find out the bounce house has been closed since 2018 because of COVID. We tried a few games, but there's not anything for toddlers to do there.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
