Waited 45 minutes for someone to go to the arcade room to be able to buy an arcade card. Saw one staff member who immediately walked the other direction after seeing me waiting. Staff member came back, walked past me and ignored me again and began mopping 40 minutes before closing.
I had a delicious bowl burger, it was fantastic! The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. I will definitely be going back again. Maybe I'll check into getting into a league.
New in town, so this was our first time here. Friendly service and looks like they are going to start a 9 day remodel tomorrow. Had a good Family time and we will have to come back and see what they will look like after remodel.
We love this place and have been coming for years. Lately though it seems the maintaince in the arcade has been pretty disappointing. Today out of 42 games 20 of them are non functional. Wait, make that 21, one of the pinball flippers doesn't work either. Would love to see this area actually taken care of. *** The remodel is nice, but comes at a price, literally. All the games are now more expensive. Inflation I guess.
We had our daughter's birthday party there and honestly it was a good experience. Price was good. We had a private bowling lane and a pirate room with some arcade games included. Would recommend. Staff were friendly as well.
For Hermiston, not bad. They have updated, but now it feels very blocked off and closed away inside. Was there for a birthday. The arcade was okay. Half the games didn't work, and most were just ticket grab games. The pizza is 1 step above Little Ceasers, and the drinks are not free refills.
We had a great time as a family going and playing. We bought 2 games and could sadly only stay for 1 and they refunded us our money for the unused game. Thank you for a wonderful family night out. I recommend it to any one
This is the best place for family fun! ?? The kids are always entertained and so are the adults ?? ?? But really it is made for a nice weekend trip especially when it is raining cold or you're just plain bored!
Amazing service!!! Drinks are always amazing and always a great atmosphere for kiddos!!! Definitely recommend this place!!
Plenty of parking, easy access. Modern lane systems. Can actually play "horse" with pins. Family friendly. Engaging and courteous staff. Pizza, nice menu, full bar. I know I will back.
Always a good time here. The staff are great, food is yummy, and the arcade is a blast. Kids love coming here to play.
I love coming here to watch our Athletes bowl, they always seem to have so much fun!! And the food, from my past experience is oh my yum ?? I can't speak about the Lounge (Bar) as I've never been in there..... Highly recommend to family and friends alike- grab your partner(s) family friends kids go have some fun, it's a great experience and a grear place to make memories
Great food and my son loves to Bowl there..
It's fun for the whole family and the pizza is good
Bowling, video arcade, and pretty decent food. Also a separate bar with Oregon lottery machines for the adults.
Owner Ray is such a blessing. Thank You for helping with our group for lunch. We'll keep coming back & I hope to use that little private bowling room someday!!!
This place is amazing. My wife Lindsay and I went last night with our local na group. We had a blast!!! Cool light and great music. They have bumpers for the kids and even a little dinosaur to help the kids roll the ball down, kinda like a slide. We had pizza there and it was FANTASTIC. They even have a metal rack with a heat lamp to keep them warm. The fun does not stop there!!! They have a wonderful arcade with lots of games for the kids that don't want to bowl. Really clean bathrooms and two family bathr
Was great for our family party!
This was the perfect place to celebrate three of my grandchildren's birthdays. Ray and the whole staff were amazing to work with. From 1 year old to well in our prime, everyone had a blast!! I highly recommend bringing your party to Desert Lanes!!
Great food and Plenty of arcade games as well as bowling fun for all ages. Company event and the staff was nothing less than Amazing with every small request!!! Will definitely go back for a night of great fun when back in town again??
Haven't been here in awhile and the service was awesome as always. The pizza is GREAT! So happy I order it! If you haven't been in for awhile and tried the pizza?? go! I can't say enough good things about it ! Service- awesome!!! Thanks for keeping it t a great place!!!
The food and service are excellent and the staff are great! My wife and I enjoy coming here for dinner on occasion as the service is friendly and the food is good. We enjoy watching sports on the big screens in the bar while we are eating dinner. Overall, the bowling alley is a solid choice for a good meal at a great price!
Super nice people good food and lots of fun
Great place. They let us bowl at 9:15 even though they closed at 10p. Staff where friendly and helpful!
Staff was fantastic, accommodated us with a last minute reservation so we could come down from Tri-Cities. Had a great time and at half of what it would have cost us to bowl in Kennewick.
If you're looking for a family-friendly place to enjoy some good old-fashioned fun, Desert Lanes Family Fun Center is the perfect spot. Located in Hermiston, Oregon, this popular destination offers a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. The bowling alley is a great place to start, with plenty of lanes available for open bowling. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. The arcade is another great option, with a wide variety of games to choose from. And if you're feel
Love going there for lunch and dinner. Their pizza and lunch wraps are the best! Doug always provides the best customer service when we go!
I admit it. I wasn't there for the bowling. Their staff always make you feel welcome and the food is really good. I decided to treat myself to a yummy chili dog lunch. It was a perfect finish to running errands and settled me in a good mood to handle the rest of a challenging day.
It was very nice and clean. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Would love to bowl here in a league.
The arcade is new but you'd think it's been run down. 75% of the machines either didn't work or just took the money and never played. Atleast 4 of them took my money and I thought I just didn't slide it so I probably lost close to $15 from that alone. I wouldn't suggest going there for that anytime soon. The bowling alley is decent though and the employees are really nice.
Decent arcade selection, good service, adequate lane selection. Live band performances aren't exactly every customers desire for genre but matches the league's request so I assume it fits the location. All around a good bowling alley experience!
I like all the new upgrades they have made. A closed off first few lanes in case you have a party and want a more private yet easily accessible area. The new oven for pizza. Makes them faster and so crispy. Just perfect. Speaking of the food. I have eaten the caeser chicken wrap and tastes so good with fries and ranch sauce. The other is any of the club sandwiches. Plus once again, the pizzas are so tasty and have great flavor. This is a part of hermiston past which needs to be enjoyed by all.
Desert Lanes is new and they are also hi-tech. They have a lot of different styles of games and a lot that engage kiddos. I took my kids and they all had a blast and want to go back! I also ordered wings and fries and they were delicious ??. They made a room so if you want to have Birthday parties its very private and you can have your own lanes in there. I recommend everyone to go check it out and see for yourself!
This has to be one of the worst bowling alleys I've ever been too. Came here to visit family in Hermiston, stayed late spent $50 in the arcade to be told the prize room is closed at 7pm even though we're here and the place doesn't close til 9pm. So in Order for my kids to get their prize I would need to drive back again. The owner literally said yes you can play we close at 9pm. I asked him to please open it and he said no. So I asked why did you let us buy an arcade card if you don't plan to let us use ou
Was here for a team building event for work and the service and experience was great. Would definitely recommend for some friend or family fun.
Way to expensive for what it is. 42.50$ for an hour is retarded and price gouging. The only moving entertainment in town and you charge an obscene amount. Just went back to the site where it says 42.50 an hour. Regardless, why would anyone pay more than 3.00 a game per person. It's a ball down a lane. Yes before you get into semantics I used to work at a bowling alley that actually had more that 12 lanes. You shut down for the last half of summer in a town that has absolutely nothing else going on. And we
Great place to bowl. Automatic gutter bumpers for kids. Very pleasant experience.
Bowling is so much fun here and so is the arcade room and snack bar. They also support the charities in our community who need to do FundRaisers.
Love this place did my kids birthday party's there . we are celebrating my grandson there family fun place
Clean, nice people have been going to this bowling alley since 1990?s. We love it and the kids learned to bowl here
Came here with my family while visiting for spring break, bowling was great food was good but when it came to the arcade i was very displeased. Literally half the machines took out money but didn't work, and when we confronted the staff about it they were VERY rude saying "all games are play at your own risk" even though there were no signs indicating such. I will never spend money at that arcade again. Also they need some nicer staff because the way we were treated was absolutely disgusting.
Had a great time today at the local bowling alley. I had signed the grandkids up for "Kids Bowl Free' once again. 2 games a day allowed and all you pay for is shoes and eats that you get. The bowling alley has been remodeled and the arcade has new games. Although we do miss a couple of our favorites. Good clean fun for the whole family......
38.00 for two Reubens sandwiches with fries...charged 1.50 for fry sauce and 1.50 for ranch. Ridiculous price. Will never order from there again
We went here to celebrate my son-in-law's birthday. We have such a great time.
Always a great place to go with your family. The food is so so and 30.00 for a not so good pizza. I'd say eat before coming here. The food use to be better.
Fun bowling center. They have an arcade for kids. We usually go to the bar after bowling and order a pizza. I have had five pizzas from there, and all have been great. Fair pricing as well. Good drinks in the bar also.
This place was one of the worst bars I've ever been to. They charged me 9 dollars for a feathered drink, and made me feel as though all they wanted was for me to leave. Unless you're a local, don't bother.
Bowling alley with smooth lanes, cosmic bowling music great food and strong drinks. The arcade is nice for the kids.
Good lunch today with the Hermiston Lions, their first in person meeting since COVID hit. The bowling alley is a great supporter of community groups like the Lions. 11/2/2022 Still a good place for Lions to meet. I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger ?? today.
They changed it up alot on the inside and dont keep the lanes clean. I don't see how a professional league can play here compared to other bowling houses within a 50 mile radius. It's small, especially since they walled off the first 4 lanes. It's great for hangouts and family friendly activities. However, it's no longer a good place for leagues and professional bowling.
Love desert lanes . Great place to have bdays for the kiddos or even for the beer drinking buddies to go have fun . Great pizza and nachos for the fam and the arcade is decent size to keep the kids entertained for a while . I travel from La Grande to visit there and to have bday parties for the fam even though there are closer lanes it's worth the extra drive time for the peace of mind of knowing you will have a great time !!
Had so much fun at my grandson birthday party. We bowled and amazing food. A for sure I will go back. Thank you for making for a special day.
Great staff, very friendly, lots of fun!
Great prices! Fun for everyone! We really enjoyed our experience. Very updated and clean.
Helpful staff and clean lanes with lots of customization. Great, well priced food and a mn engaging arcade section. Can't wait for my next trip back.
We have been going there for years and we have always had a great time! Friendly people and very clean. And good food.
Good price, a game for me cost under $5, nice food. There are ocasionally blacklights so wear neon and white. There is also a nice arcade room and prize isle. Very fun with groups. There is a kids bowl free thing in the summer you can sign up for, all you pay for are the shoes $2.
It was super fun. The food was good, and the employees were very friendly.
Fun place to spend time with family. The Nachos were big enough to feed 6! The staff was nice and everything was clean.
We came to bowl and the the guy getting our shoes was being so mean to every customer here idk his name be he has long grey hair. Would be nice for a change to go out somewhere with good customer service
First time here came with a big group. Staff was awesome. Had mozzarella cheese sticks, pepperoni pizza. Both were good.
Amazing food and service!! Can't say enough positive things about this place!! Just awesome!!
Had a Great time with my co workers and we had some great food, the pizza is good but their hamburgers are REALLY DELICIOUS. HIGHLY recommended going for lunch or dinner
I was really impressed. Nice and helpful employees plus the food is good. Great place to have fun
Are family always comes here to get our competition goin on. We love the family oriented environment. Music is great and food is good price. Arcade is fun for after ??.
Fun atmosphere, friendly staff. Great food and drinks. The service is great and it is a nice place to bring the family.
Me and wife took son to bowel. Staff was nice and friendly. Ordered chicken strips and fries which were delicious.
They let us have our emblem club mtgs there, and we eat and have a wine or beer good food!! Doug and Ray are great!!!!!????????????
Best pizza in Hermiston! Lovely and polite and very attentive staff, cold and fresh beer!
Great coffee, brewed to perfection. Staff is awesome. Will be back, every Thursday, till I can't no more. A big SALUTE to all.
Wow, what a great place. The staff was always around and cleaning. The lanes were nice. Had a blast
They have 16 lanes. You can get the aim assisting dinosaur ramps for the kids or choose automatic bumpers for specific bowlers if you want also. They serve good food also.
Prices even for small town are High. I can drive 45 min one way to another town and still spend less overall...even with having to spend gas money to go. The cashiers were friendly.
The food is awesome and it's a fun place
Very Awesome Bowling Alley, only bowling alley that provided Pizza for the Richland bombers girls bowling team on there visit to play the Hermiston Bulldogs
Took 4 preteen - teen boys to celebrate a 13th birthday. A few gutter balls a couple of strikes. It was a blast!
Great customer service and great food. Love the new improvements on the inside. The fish and chips were awesome.
Child's birthday party went great. Love the party room spaces.
Staff was very friendly, atmosphere was very up beat an inciting. Had a really great time would recommend it to friends and family.
This location contains a bowling alley, arcade and a slots casino. Food is mostly appetizers and things of the like. There is always pretty good help available, but one unfortunate time I was forced to wait for upwards of 10 mins to pay for a bowling set.
For the area it's pretty fun. Kids really enjoyed the arcade. Hopefully next time I can convince them to bowl.
Nice place to play a game with family also has a bar for 21+ with good drinks. They have some delicious food as well along with a game area for kids.
Our group meets there and the service has far excited our expectations!!
A nice place to roll into! The staff is knowegeable and kind to its patrons. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind for a while...
My friend just shared a picture of a medium pizza, you literally put 4 sices in a box, what is that about! He called you and you had no resolution for this, so that being said we will never order from you again
The place is clean and the staff excellent. Had a little trouble with the ball return and the pin setter hanging up, but they would get it back to going quickly
Great place to take the family or even just date night w the wife!
Great place to go with the family. If bowling is your thing they offer free bowling for the kids all summer and if you want to join you can also play all summer for a low price of $30.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
