Customer Reviews

My family and I enjoyed our time at Fun Zone Deep Creek, the establishment was conveniently located close to our Cabin so it literally took us minutes to get there. Plenty of parking was available upon our arrival. The staff explained gaming, outdoor play and food combo specials to meet our needs. Indoor and outdoor seating is available for dining which is a good thing if you don't want people walking past your table too often while trying to eat. Credit had to be given to the Fun zone staff for the clean

Thank you, Deep Creek Fun Zone, for hosting the annual Fike Family Christmas ?? You and your staff are always so welcoming and friendly every year that we are there. Perhaps that's why we have kept coming back for the past 7 or 8 years. Thanks again, and we will hopefully see you next year! Merry Christmas

Had a great time at the Fun Zone! Huge thanks to Kilie and Maddie for all your help ? you made the day even better. Such a fun experience for the whole family. We did the Old Day Pass and highly recommend it ? awesome time for all ages!

My 8 year old daughter loved the kid go carts. It was so nice that they had go carts that kids can drive themselves. My daughter and I also drove the 2 seat go carts together, what a blast!

Went on a weekday in June, bought two unlimited passes for my kids. Demi and Izzy were very helpful guiding us through all the activities. They loved the go carts and bumper boats.

Lots of fun activities for the entire family! Better than average mini golf, with fun spinner challenges on multiple holes to make things even more fun, silly, and challenging. Decent sized arcade. Good food. Hard to have a bad time here!

We only mini golfed but we had blast. Definitely a fun place to stop, their other activities looked like a ton of fun too. Definitely worth a stop.

Great little place! Tucked away up in Deep Creek Lake, this place is a great way to spend an afternoon. The Go Karts are fun, the minigolf is challenging, and the arcade is great. The buffalo chicken panini isnt anything to shake a stick at, either. The staff is also super helpful, and really awesome with large groups.

Well did a review on the arcade and can't help but to mention the food and service at the grill upstairs. Food was fresh and hot and came out fast. Only issue I would point out is the fries were burnt. Maybe take them out of the fryer few min sooner. But pizza was good and wings were on point.

Came during the winter, employees were really nice and friendly. They let us stay roughly 30 minutes after closing because we had extra credits and didn't realize the early closing time, and when my friend left her phone and didn't realize until 3 hours later, the manager drove back and let us back in to retrieve it. Everyone should come here!!

Bumper boats would not start. Unable to get whole group together so some had to sit out. Go carts were ok but rude workers cut our stay there short. $12 per ride per person,....expensive and truly not worth the stop. Will not return.

We enjoyed the games, pizza, fries, and friendly staff. Everything was clean and a great way to spend an afternoon!

We had a blast. Fun games, laser tag and a nice looking bar.

Cute local arcade. Many games out of order. Games also do not pay out tickets it appears. Daughter played spin the wheel game, landed on 500 but it gave her 3. No biggie for an adult but a little kid.... We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food. Worth a stop for the kids if you're in Deep Creek but with reasonable expectations. Overall, fun place, little run down, friendly staff. Good for a quick trip while in DC.

Great place to have some fun and some drinks. We went there when it was raining out and the 13 people in my group really enjoyed ourselves.

This place has laser tag, arcade, food, and mini golf! Oh ya and little go karts and bumper boats! My 8 and 4 year old had a blast!

We had our rehearsal drinks at Fun Zone the night before our wedding and we had the best time. The manager was so friendly and accommodating, we had a group of about 70 people and he ensured we had an outdoor space reserved for that size, as well as an indoor space in case the weather was bad. Ultimately, I don't think our group utilized either of those spaces very much because we were all scattered everywhere playing games and hanging by the bar. It's such a fun environment, the deck has a great view of th

Tired to play a game of mini golf. There were 6 of us! A group of kids was running around the course on the greens while we were trying to golf! I asked poiletly for them to stop but instead it got worse. NO parents to be found! When we finished our game a few minutes before closing time the doors were already locked. We had to leave our putters on a picnic table outside.

Had a blast with Izzy and Kylie! Thank you, Deep Creek Fun Zone!

Miniature golf could use some upgrades but otherwise nice course. The family enjoyed. We also liked the additional challenge.

They added a updated laser tag since last year. The kids loved it. A good place to hang out with the kiddos when the weather isn't the best and you cant enjoy all the great outdoor activities of deep creek. (They also have outdoor activities to.)

Title: Exceptional Customer Service and Fun-Filled Experience at Deep Creek Fun Zone I recently had the pleasure of visiting Deep Creek Fun Zone in Oakland, MD, with my two ladies, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the staff, setting the tone for a fantastic day ahead. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Danny, Izzy, Kylie, and Zach for their exceptional customer service. They went above and beyond to ensure

Really this should be 3.5 stars but that's not an option. The arcade is alright and the Go Karts are cool but the Mini Golf could use a touch up and the girl behind the counter was up selling in a way that was a bit rude. I understand businesses need to make money and telling customers what's around is helpful but you can only say "No Thank you" so many times. This place is good for children if you're in Deep Creek though, good entertainment for a couple hours.

Great place for a rainy day. Friendly staff, fun games, clean, nice time. Would visit again!

Kylie was extremely informative upbeat and really awesome with my kids. I recently took my sons to Deep Creek and decided to play mini golf and arcade games with a sprinkling of the ninja course. Everything was really clean and orderly, and the staff was very cool, but Kylie was a stand out with how informative and helpful she was about explaining everything. Thank you! Great time?..highly recommended.

Deep Creek FunZone was awesome, staff was awesome, bartender was on point with the drinks. Good selection of drinks and food. Food was good and came out fast. Reasonably priced for everything. Myself, wife and 5 kids had a good time.

Great place! Isaac was working at the kiddie carts when we brought our 4yo daughter. She was having trouble pushing the gas pedal down and he was helpful and sweet to her!! So impressed by his kindness and willingness to go above and beyond!

Fun place to take family. Mini-golf is fun. Rock climbing wall, go karts and best pizza in town right next door.

We went there during the winter for a family day and it was well worth the trip. So much fun for adults and kids. I liked that you could carry adult drinks with you anywhere in the building. The pizza was fantastic. Every worker was very nice and every interaction I had with someone there was lovely. Good times.

We did the go-carting and mini-golf here. I love their mini-golf course (not because I smoked 15 other dudes), but some of their holes are really challenging. The cave hole is straight out of a horror flick. Really the highlight of this trip was the customer service. We got joking with the staff as one employee relayed her record Go-Kart time, and another explained how he had the high-score on mini-golf. They were very personable and friendly to our large group. This location was formerly "Smiley's" and I'

Had fun wish the arcade was a little bigger but all in all had a great time.

Pretty expensive for the very few activities they have. The bumper boats were pathetic and not worth it at all - smelled horrible and one of the boats kept stalling out. Same with the go-kart course, the karts kept stalling and it just wasn't fun. The mini golf course was crowded (space-wise... There was no one there) and small and pathetic compared to any other mini golf I've ever been to. Sad that we spent over $200 (a gift from a grandparent) here and the kids were left very underwhelmed.

I had my kids here years ago and they loved it. I was going to take my nephew, so I checked out the website. I can't believe how much the price has gone up since I had my kids there! I saw $75 for an all day pass and I almost fainted! The place is nice, but $75 is insanity. We won't be going here anymore. It was fun when it was affordable. Sad.

Noah Schaffer and his crew today were absolutely amazing. They were more than accommodating with our kids. Even made our birthday boy feel special. We love Deep Creek Fun Zone!

We held a joint birthday party for my sons at the Funzone and it was a great time. They were very accommodating and worked to personalize the party for our intended themes. Dave was very patient in working with me, even though I was sending him updated headcounts just hours before the party began. We bought a party package and it was just the right amount of food for the attendees and the kids loved the unlimited game passes. Our server Urijah took great care of us and so did Joslin, the bartender. Thanks s

Great experience! Kids had a blast..

If you go make sure you buy the whole day pass and spend the day. Very expensive otherwise. A lot of fun and great staff.

This was a nice mini golf course near where we were staying at the lake. It was a little unclear on how to pay and do the mini golf at first (and where to return the clubs after), but the staff was kind and answered our questions. We liked that some holes of mini golf had a wheel to spin for silly modifications to the game.

Absolutely fantastic experience for my son's 11th birthday. Dave, Riley, and Jozlynn were a pleasure to work with and helped make my son and his friends time at Fun Zone a great memory. We got the 2 hour arcade pass that includes laser tag, and the kids had a blast. The pizza and bacon ranch fries were phenomenal, and the service was awesome. Thank you for all of your help in making our time at Fun Zone a great experience!

Nice track. Even the two seater we were in was fast. The length of the ride was long. Great people. We will come back to this track.

D.J. hooked it up, he deserves a raise. The place is cool for the lake and kids. Reasonable prices. Maybe buff the ticket values.

Fun for the whole family no matter what your ages People there were polite and easy to get along with and the ice cream was excellent

Our family always has a great time at the fun zone-awesome staff, atmosphere, and pizza! Shout out to Urija- a huge help setting up laser tag and excellent service for lunch!

Not the best but still a good time. Many of the arcade games were out of order and a few robbed us of tokens but all in all not a bad spot to take kids but a far cry from an 80's arcade. Mini golf was nice and had some fun holes. Didn't eat or ride go karts but they offer them. Plenty of parking.

Fun for the whole family - Mark at the bar makes great drinks and is super friendly! And, Kylie was so patient, kind and helpful as my nieces where deciding what prizes to pick out! ....also, clean and all the games were a big hit with a 5 and 7 year old!!!!

This is a wonderful place for kids of all ages. Kylie in particular was amazing, so kind and patient with my 5 year old who was having a very hard time choosing prizes! Can't thank her enough and highly recommend Deep Creek Fun Zone!

Kylie was great at the counter and made my son?s evening by helping him pick a prize! Clean and fun arcade, my son LOVES it. Thank you, Kylie for being so accommodating and awesome ????

Go karts and laser tag game is fairly priced, well maintained equipment, very helpful staff. Arcade games are overpriced in my opinion. Kids has so much fun overall. Will definitely visit again.

Fair prices, food is comparable to a chuck e cheese, lots of fun and games for the whole family and great frozen drinks

Minigolf is a good course BUT paying to play is laughably cumbersome. They are a no-paper-money establishment which means you cannot just hand money to a guy and get clubs and golf balls. You first must find the kiosk upstairs, exchange cash or use a card to buy a Game Card with points on it. Golf is 120 pts per player which is $12. (You gotta figure out that conversion yourself.) Make sure you use the Any Amount button when loading the card, then enter how much you want to put on the card. Be careful, it w

Our Family had so much fun! Putt Putt to go carts to lazer tag to playing games, definitely worth going. Make sure you try the IPA's too!

This place was a blast. We got the day passes that were very reasonably priced. Played as much of every activity available as we wanted as well as their arcade. We enjoyed one of their pizzas for lunch. Will definitely go back again

Too windy/cold for skiing and we were looking for something to do with 6/11/12 yos. Worked out great for us - adults had some drinks upstairs while kids had some light food and treats and played arcades and laser tag for a couple hours. Staff were friendly and was a great experience for us.

I was a little concerned at the all inclusive price but it was very much worth it just for the go carts alone. Everything about the place is small, so if it's really busy that could be a problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. My older kids pretty much rode the go karts for 4 hours straight and rarely had to wait in line. If you need to a kill a day with the kids, this is the place to go.

Was just there this evening and I hate to say that after the years and memories made there, this by far was the worst experience and one that will probably prevent us from going back for a long time. I ordered a Buffalo chicken panini and fried ravioli. The pricing is outrageously expensive for the subpar food. $13.99 for a panini that looked like someone threw some bread in a toaster and made regular toast before slathering some chicken and Buffalo sauce on it. I love buffalo chicken everything, but i didn

Go carts were super fun. We really enjoyed them. We enjoyed them so much the first time that we went a second time. Unfortunately, one of our cars wasn't performing as well as the first time. The golf course needed a little TLC. Some holes were updated and others had torn carpet. Laser tag was super fun. No issues with that. Overall, a good experience, just a little worn down.

I went here as part of my friend?s bachelor party and we had a great time from the go-karts, lazor tag, arcade and mini golf course. Ashlyn help me n my friends out because we were too dumb to know how use the card machine and cash in our tickets. Definitely a fun time to be with friends and family here.

Overall, it was pretty good. We did the late night passes (7-10pm), but didn't realize you don't get points/tickets from games with the passes. The putt-putt golf was a decent course. We got to ride the go-karts before rain closed the track. The cars were quick and well-maintained, but the track is kind of small and gets boring quickly. The laser tag equipment was well maintained and enjoyable with a decent sized area to play in. The downstairs game room, however, was HOT! I don't know if they had an AC pro

The new 2 hour all-inclusive deal is why i give this place a high rating. Great value IF you go during the week. Didnt give 5 stars because the arcade is frankly too small to handle lake crowds on the weekend. The new layout post-remodel is much better upstairs...well done. Surprisngly great pizza and drink specials!

Rylee and Daniel were very unprofessional kids almost got hurt on the ride. They were very disrespectful and they were getting frustrated at the kids for being exited once the lady told the kids to get on the carts when kids where pulling in to park. They were very very rude and I will not be back to visit with my group of kids and staff.

Our kids had a blast here on a Sunday afternoon. The entire mgmt and staff were amazing. Great spot for parents to decompress with a drink and food while the kids have fun playing the different games.

Noah S and Cameron and Raleigh were awesome! Super sweet and very understanding! Best time in Deep Creek!

This place pretty much has everything you want and the prices aren't too bad. They have two different go cart courses. A more basic one (figure 8) or one that's way bigger, the putt putt golf course was nice and creative, there is a ninja warrior obstacle course, a nice restaurant and a beer/wine spirits place. My family spent several hours here and had a blast!

I went with some friends and their two daughters. We all had a great time. The go-karts, bumper boats, and miniature golf were particularly fun. Well worth it if you are in the DCL vicinity.

Our experience at smileys was great. Madyson f and urijah were very helpful and pleasant doing our visit. We love fun zone!!!!

We enjoyed playing several games and had a great time.

Just stopped for a quick game of mini golf.

Fun place!! It's pricey but worth the smiles and giggles, from the kids. It's cheaper than Funland down the street and has a much better view. If you go in the evenings it's a lot cheaper!! Instead of $42 it's $22. If it gets crowded, which on rainy /cooler days it does...you may want to stay clear if you don't like crowded small places. It's a cramped place to start inside. The putt-putt is NOT wheel chair accessible. The batting cages were not in working order, when we visited. Also if it rains and you've

Very fun! Lots to do. Very nice staff!! My kids love it there!

It was more than I expected you walk into the restaurant. And you would think nothing else was there. But at the counter is games and price range. Then down stairs is a wonderful world of games. Mad I didnt take pictures. Sorry . But awesome family for ages 4 to 80 and it also has a few benches to sit on had fun with my daughter and her teen children

We just went to play Mini Golf and had a blast. The course was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed the Chance Spinners that were set up on a few holes. Our kids had a lot of fun, looking forward for a return visit for the other attractions.

Best place to go to for a fun day. Prices are very reasonable and the staff was just so helpful and kind. I don't leave reviews too often, but this place deserves it. Definitely will come again!

It is a great place to have family fun. So many ways to enjoy yourself here. Expect to pay for that fun though...It is easy to drop a few hundred dollars.

Me and my son went there today to race gokarts. He had bought a day pass ($60) and was only able to do one race due to the people that were racing with him ramming into everyone and everything, making it a terrible experience. Additionally, the carts were rough and the steering wheel was in a very awkward place to ride. The only reason this isn't a 0 star review is because of the manager, who had given us a full refund on the day pass. Thank you to the manager, we really appreciate it.

First the kids loved it so that is important and number one. But staff was very "don't care" kind of attitude. Would expect more excitement for the kids and stuff. Then again, hiring people now is extremely difficult. So bumping to 4 stars because the kids had fun, place was clean, and prices were not terrible.

Fiance wanted to treat myself and our 2 year old daughter to pizza and games for her. When we got there, there was 3 or 4 employees, no other customers, we had to seat ourselves while the employees were standing around. No one welcomed us, took 4 minutes for our server to come give us menus. Our server was fine after that. Once done eating we wanted to play games. The card machine to buy a card upstairs was broke, had to go downstairs to load $ on the card. People were down stairs playing in the arcade, whe

Beware the point system. We spent $50 for two cards, only to end up using $10 for one go kart race per person and then $8 per to play a round of golf. The rain ended up closing everything down outside, so we didn't get to play the golf, so of course, we asked for a refund for the points we did not get to use. The staff was nice, but the owner was a complete jerk about giving a refund and insisted we should come back the next day. After explaining we would not be in the area for another day, we ended up gett

Izzy and Demi were great

With a party of 6.. they refused to take my order at 6pm in the evening.. 4 of us ordered and 2 could not... What a joke!! Took 2 hours for the food!!.Yesssss actually 2 hours and 12 minutes! My 5 inch Chicken sub had a trace of chicken, few spoonfuls of sauce, and 3 small pepper rings for $10....awful.... we will Never Eat there again! We carried our food back after receiving a notification. Never saw a waitress. You are on your own. Not sure why they ask for a tip?

Fun miniature golf course with beautiful views of the lake. Felt safe as everyone was following covid safety guidelines

After years of coming here, we were sadly disappointed with the restaurant. The menu is now very limited, there's no service (you order at the counter then pick it up yourself), and the music was loud and was not the radio edited versions (not fun when you have your grandparents). The food that we did get was good which is the only reason I'm giving this place any stars.

Older rude gentleman working the counter. For working in a children's place, you think the staff would be friendly or able to speak to kids... the cranky old man got upset my kids didn't know how many points they won, and was very short with them. They had a great time until it was time to cash out their tickets, then we felt like the cranky old man was upset we were cashing out tickets they won? Get a new job if you hate yours, people come there to have a fun time, not get attitude from seniors. Also, he s

Pizza, wings, and fried pickle spears were delicious! Staff was very friendly! Go carts were fun. Arcade and bowling looked fun but we did not use. Highly recommend stopping here!

The staff is o so friendly and helpful...the go cart tracks were a blast but could use some work I personally think they should be completely flat not like side walk you walk on the fast track that is ,the slick track was fun as well...the matinence man fixed the batting cages for me which was very nice he was very friendly as well ..the bowling alley could use some work even though in lane 1 I got 2 games on for the price of 1 on lanes 1&2...the stairs to the batting cages could use some work the wood is d

Just left there.. not worth the time or money. Their award winning fries were skimpy. The basement smelled funny. The arcade games were a joke.. they are priced like $.26 to play a game or $1.05 for a game and you don't receive the tickets the game says you recieve. The laser tag area and bumper boats area were so small; the laser tag could be standing in a circle with no room to run and play. The boats didn't have enough room for a group of seven to play and get some speed to bump into someone. Their bathr

My husband and I were looking for something fun to do while staying in the area and thought this looked fun. We played putt putt which was super fun, holes were unique, they had some fun games to play during the putt putt which was different and cool. We rode go karts-also really fun. Staff was friendly and the inside arcade/restaurant area was clean.

Great family establishment. My children never wanted to leave. The all day pass is worth every penny. I hope your family finds as much amusement here as mine did.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
