Dave & Buster's Syracuse

Dave & Buster's Syracuse

Reviews Summary

Dave & Buster's offers a fun arcade experience with a wide variety of games appealing to all ages, though many reviews note inconsistent service, slow wait times, and inattentive staff. Food quality is mixed—some enjoy the menu, while others criticize it as overpriced, bland, or poorly prepared. Drinks receive praise for creativity but occasional complaints about weak pours or mistakes. Weekday specials (like half-price games) are highlights, but cleanliness and maintenance issues (dirty tables, broken games) detract from the experience. Ideal for group outings, though dining expectations should be tempered.

Got kids cheeseburger chicken Caesar salad and quesadilla peach tea and root beer. Also ordered the cauliflower appetizer. Salad came with no chicken. All the food was just slightly warm.cauliflower never showed up.peach tea was plain tea.cheeseburger delicious.salad was very good.condiments were generous.this was our second appearance with same results.got a great discount on check.

If you love to play games and win prizes, Dave and Busters is for you. The bar area has all of your favorite adult drink options. The food is good. Not spectacular, offers all the solid options you would expect from a chain restaurant. I recommend the burgers or the "all you can eat wings." The games are very expensive to play some costing 2 dollars per play. But they offer a huge selection of fun games. With a little something for everyone. Tickets won are automatically added to your card and can be redee

Place was absolutely disgusting to eat at! We sat down, dirty tables everywhere and we're like that for well over the hour we were there! Our waitress was terrible, she was off in a corner on her phone the whole time, she then disappeared for the longest time and by the end of the night she was yelling at someone then just left! A manager came and said she stepped away. Food was horrendous took us almost an hour to get our appetizer which was pretzel sticks, the cheese was cold pretzel sticks were too. 53 m

We came in on a Saturday night to kill time before picking up a family member from the train station across the way. The hostess working on this particular night was pretty quiet but got us sat immediately which was great. That's where the experience goes down hill. We were sat in a section with several dirty tables that were left full of dirty dishes the entire time we were sat. Our server, Mya barely spoke to us and brought out a different beer than we ordered, as well as completely forgot to bring the co

We went for dinner and we were greeted and seated immediately. Lots of TV's to watch the games. It was cozy-dark in there but the table was lighted well so we could still read the menu. Our server, Jason, was attentive and very pleasant. Everyone was very nice. The food was delicious.its a great place to eat, even if you're not going to play the games. The only problem was figuring out how to get back to the mall entrance we parked at. Take note of your number and color of parking area, because there are ra

Had a group event and we had fun, but it's a lot smaller than others I've been to. They had really top notch video games and no issues.

We came on a rainy day when we had some time to kill. We decided to play a few games and my significant other grabbed a beer. The bar area wasn't busy and no one seemed that interested in taking my husband?s order. Two employees walked by us completely and finally a 3rd person helped us, he wasn't in a hurry to help either. So that part of our experience had a lot of room to improve. I found it weird that there were no prices on the drink menu. Other than that it was a rainy Saturday so it was what you woul

The food was amazing! My burger was really good and they also have healthy options for those looking to eat healthier like in my wife's case. The atmosphere is fun and great for the full family.

Took 1 star off because the hostess seemed disinterested in doing her job. I couldn't hear her say anything. Waitress (Skyler I think) was very patient with me because I couldn't decide what to have. She was great. Food was great too!!! Fun times playing games too!

Great time! If you are really trying to get tickets and it is a multi-player type game where there is a shared bonus to work up, watch out for bonus/jackpot steelers. I played the zombie game and a dude walked up just before we spelled out zombie and took our 500+ ticket bonus and then he left for some other bonus to steal.

Good food and good service. Wider variety of games than apex. Would recommend checking out the dinners that include game tickets package. Other menu items without game tickets were pricey- assuming you also wanted to play games.

Wow. Dave & Busters has changed things up, and for the better! Food options are way better. Menu is inviting and fun. Food came out looking so fresh and tastes even better. I was blown away. We started the night off with the Loaded Queso Fries, and I seriously could have just eaten that as my meal!!! 10 out of 10 Then I had chosen the Cali Avo Salad. Only complaint I have on this is they were a little heavy on Dressing, so if...no, when I get this again I will most likely tell them to put dressing on the si

The service is better than the food and drinks. The Parm Crusted Brussels Sprouts 2/10, NEVER AGAIN! They were dry and hard, far from ripe! There was nothing special about the tenders. The frozen Margarita 1/10! Trash! FYI...I visited via Louisiana!

Smaller than usual but still lots of fun. Air hockey, games, and prizes.

The arcade was great, the kids had a ton of fun. However, the dining left a lot to be desired. They were short staffed on server's but when your server seems annoyed with you right from the start, should have guessed it would be poor service. The waitress was clearly annoyed with the fact that we asked for an actual menu rather than using the QR code. There were 4 of us at the table but she only brought 2 menus. Told us to let her know when we were ready to order but was no where in sight when we were. We g

Food was overpriced and under portioned, the games are awesome, very little staff which sucks for service. But at the same time at the mall it's difficult to maintain business due to the trouble makers that come there and ruin it for everyone causing businesses to vanish, because of increase in violence due to the hood trash that come there and ruin the atmosphere with fights, shootings and stabbings here and there occasionally, luckily it's usually not innocent people and it's just ghetto trash attacking e

It started out ok? we never got silverware I had to actually go up and to the bar to get silverware at the bar to get some. We only saw our waitress three times. One to take our order one to deliver and then to have us ask for the receipt. They didn't ID use when we ordered alcohol. All in all this was our worst service experience. Normally they where good but tonight it wasn't even busy.

We didn't eat here but we played the games and it was so much fun!! The set up is nice and there's a great variety!! Staff was hard to find when we had an issue but they took care of it! So much fun!! The only downside I felt was waiting in line to cash in tickets was super long!!

Place and setup was a little chaotic, though it was my first time at a D&B. Really liked a lot of the games, including 4-player Halo, Mario Kart, and Pac-Man. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try out any of the VR games. Also, I did notice some games required maintenance and repairs like Tomb Raider and the basketball game. Basketball wouldn't sync with the other machines in order to play together and the screen for Tomb Raider was faded out and hard to see anything. Lastly, the Hungry Hungry Hippos

Decent arcade -- to answer the question: when I take my 12 yr old Nephew I'm not a fan of smelling a weed vape pen. When I go to try to use tickets to buy a prize before leaving and I have to search for an employee... And after finding one, they couldn't get into the system, so time wasted. Finally, nothing about the "food" section made us want to try our luck, so we opted to eat elsewhere. Also, I believe operating a chainsaw has less decibels than walking around the arcade. Staff probably have hearing los

It's a bit of a drive for me, but I stop by 2-3 times a year. The kids loves it, and for the adults there's plenty of screens and TVs to view major sporting events. A wide selection of beers to choose from and their cocktails are amusing to look at and tasty. Food menu is equally vast, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Wednesday's all games are half off, and, due to that fact, D&B does not accept coupons for recharging power cards.

Sat @ bar...inattentive service..about 3:30-3:45pm on a SATURDAY..KNICKS VS CELTICS ON..figured I camp @ bar...sat almost 20min b4 " Dude" finally acknowledged me..hands me a menu, then b4 I could open it, asked, "what you want?"...ummm ..can I open the menu and look??. Look, I'm going to summarize.. No utensils Dirty salt/pepper shakers No napkins Got my order of ' garlic/parm fries Got an order of mozzarella sticks/ with ketchup impersonating as Marinara sauce, I never ordered that item..free ..mistake..I

Everything is cooked in the same fryer. So I couldn't eat. I didnt even get the drink i ordered. The service was snooty. But the games are fun

Went for Valentine's day dinner with my girlfriend and her parents. Robert was supposed to be our server but after 40 minutes of waiting and watching Robert going to every other table and just walking around i finally got up and talked with the hostess. We then got Skyler and she was great. She was on top of everything while picking up roberts lack of work ethic. 40 minute wait and not even greeted by Robert threw the evenings plans off.

This review gets 5 stars mainly because of Jason, the bartender that I see there most times when we go. We went on the tail end of what seemed like a busy Friday night to play some games and cash in a free app. Our original bartender got our drinks and a menu, asked if we needed a minute, then went on break (which is fine, we just didn't know or we would have ordered quicker) Jason covered the other workers break (I forget his name he is also there most times when I go and does a good job). Jason was coveri

2/2/25 We got seated by the hostess. We sat at the table for 25 minutes and our server never showed up. A random server walking by finally asked if we had been taken care of yet and we said no. Waited 10 more minutes and with no server in sight we gave up and left to eat somewhere else.

We had a blast. We came here after visiting the Rosamond Gifford Zoo; so, this was a good place to end our day. Food was good and the game selection was great. We prob could've spent a little less money but wasn't sure how many game points to purchase; so, we got the $75 card with 550 points...it was enough for 4 people to play 3 hours +, pretty much nonstop. The selection of games are good for small kids all the way to adults. There's a little of something for everyone. Tickets are saved to your gam

We waited 20 minutes for a hostess who was clearly disinterested in seating us. The table was dirty and no silverware. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody said a word to us so we got up and left. Needless to say we won't be going back... the most awful service and we didn't even get waited on

So, hear me out first. Took a few minutes at an empty bar to get some service, I was outnumbered by staff. The gentleman that took care of me didn't really seem like he cared at all (maybe he was having a rough day, I get it), but?idk a little more life and a smile goes a long way. Ordered the grilled chicken Hawaiian sandwich, and it took about 20 minutes to get to me; not great but not bad, for a place this size on a Saturday night. Sandwich was fkn awesome, made up for the wait, not gonna lie. Also, I as

Food is good, staff is great, unfortunately it's almost impossible to have a conversation and you have to shout your order due to the noise. That said, if you're going there exclusively to game, it's the place to be. If you're catching up over dinner, request a seat as far from the arcade as you can.

The food is okay it's typical bar food... We did enjoy what we got although. We had a ton of fun playing games. And will totally be back again :-)

Came here for happy hour and it was amazing. Such great deals on the drinks and the games. My first time here and it was incredible. I will definitely be back. Plenty of options all around the building; games, food, and drinks.

Group of 8 to the Syracuse location. Food portions were smaller than a fast food restaurant! Especially for the price. Most of group ordered burgers or chicken sandwiches w/fries. The chicken sandwiches were smaller than a mcchicken. Didn't even fit the bun. The portion of fries was smaller than the small order at mcd's. Service was good! Games were fun! Layout of tables was not viewer friendly. The people sit facing north and south while all of the TV screens are east and west. Constantly had to turn to w

They refused to accommodate my handicapped son for seating to eat. They made us sit at a high top table which is impossible for him to get on and off of.

It's a grown up version of chuckie cheese with alcohol and lots of tvs. I wish the food was better and they didn't have to have everything on Max volume. The host was too busy playing on her phone with a server to seat us and we asked for a table without a high top because I'm disabled and it's hard for me to sit there. So we get a high top booth. ?? Because apparently all the regular seating is unavailable (empty with no one sitting in them). I get that it's a place for entertainment but at least make the

A lot of the games were out of order my last three visits, this place used to be better. Its great for games but the food is terrible and overpriced. Don't even bother trying to order a drink here. The best thing to do is use coupons through the week and return on Wednesday when the games are half priced.

We went here for all you can eat wings and our service was awful! There were 7 people in the restaurant and our party was 5 of them. We were there for over 3 hours not because we ate that many wings but because the service was that bad. We would wait 45 minutes or longer for an order of wings. When they would come out they were barely warm. I said something to the manager but she "didn't want to argue with me. Never again will I eat there. I am also pretty sure that the waitress added in a tip without telli

I had the triple bacon burger on lettuce instead of the bun and it was fantastic, the garlic aioli was delicious. The games were a blast and they really have something for everyone, I can't wait for our next visit.

The chicken was cold and halfed cooked also nasty?.the burgers was salty but looked cute but tasted nasty and why is yall alcohol so high 50$? Is a little much the waiter kept passing us the table was still dirty?.left very quick didn't stay to play games

I only come here with a gift card. It gets boring quick. Kids would enjoy it more. Never tried their food

Worst experience we've had at this place. The waitress didn't know what she was doing. When our food came out, it came out 20 minutes apart instead of coming out together. THEN we look at our fries and there is a flipping hair on them. So disgusting. These cooks and waitresses should be having their hair out up properly.

One of my favorite places to eat! I love the games and the food! It is fun for the kids and the adults!

It's was an amazing time going here made me feel like a teenager again. Can't wait to go back and bring the family with my wife and myself

We were there during a weekday, and was surprised to find it almost full. Great bar but the staff had a couldn't-care-any-less attitude. The food came a little late, so that kind of fuelled our hunger. So, we kind of liked what we got .The price is slightly to the higher side (not much, but then anything in or from a mall is bound to be a bit more expensive than outside the mall). Great time killer for kids, although even that is slightly pricy (so be prepared to spend if your kid is a gamer). Weekends are u

The video games are awesome brought my niece n nephew and we had a blast!!! Get there early at 10 when it opens and you have the place to yourself for 30 40 minutes mornings and afternoons are best for kids evenings it's a Lil older crowd as my generation all grew up playing these games. Oh and they have a life sized hungry hungry hippo game!!!

Had a great time with the family. The games are fun and enjoyable. Ordered a jalape?o burger it was good but it needed some seasoning or hot sauce it was just missing something.

Fun place to go. Food is decent and so are the drinks. Lots of games to play.

Fun for all ages at Dave and Buster?s. What tops this great menu is all the games and activities while you are here. Steaks, burgers, shrimp, whatever you fancy can be had here. They have plenty of game, appetizers and drinks with special prices. You will love to bring the entire family here for sure.

Decided to try and had an amazing experience I went with my autistic uncle and the staff was just great and super helpful especially with how to play the games highly recommend coming here

Food was mostly great, Super expensive! 140+/- 170 for 4 children and 2 adults is crazy.

The food wasn't good at all and the game selection was boring would not recommend

The food is ok, but we go for the arcade. We are an arcade loving family and this location is clean and welcoming.

Not busy Thursday night took hour and a half to get our cold food. Had been plated so long had a skin on the hot sauce and spinach dip.

On September 4, 2024 I visited the Destiny Mall in Syracuse, NY location. I ordered Churro's to go. We went and played games while waiting for order. I would keep going back to order pickup area. My order was placed at 11:37. We were ready to go after forty minutes, with no order done. I went over and told a young man that my order was placed, and still not done. He went to the kitchen and returned with a box several minutes later. I was told that it was warm. I told him I would not accept something that

Great service and awesome venue for kids. Ordered fries, tasted good but they were cold.

Great time as a group.

I don't usually leave negative reviews but, tonight as a patron of Dave and Busters, I'm overly annoyed. Our waitress was not at all rude, but her non chalant attitude came off as she didn't care. I was literally starving tonight after not eating all day, so I could have eaten anything..first I ordered mozzarella sticks for the appetizer they came out, and I could tell 3 out of 5 were over cooked. After biting into the first one, I was correct, dried out. Again, I was hungry, so no big deal.. the second on

I was dissapointed with the restaurant and arcade experience. The cards for the arcade rarely was accepted the 1st swipe. Many games I gave up on and skipped altogether. The arcade are is littered with half full glasses of beverages and other garbage. The menu looks like it could be very good. The chicken sandwich I ordered wasn't terrible. My wife said her salad was average. The fries were cold and under a heat lamp for some time. My wife ordered a frozen margarita, it came to the table as a regular one.

This Dave and Buster's in the mail is the best the place is more massive then a regular D&B's we got the platinum unlimited games and the only bad thing about it is you gotta wait 20 seconds for playing games so if u have a party of 3+ It might take a while to play all the same game

Not liking this place at all. My husband and I have tried giving this place multiple chances. The service is slow and the food lacks any flavor or consistency. First my broccoli came out raw, then when reordered, it came out drenched in butter and cream which makes o sense. My steak was ok but my mash potatoes lacked seasoning and it came out cold. The drinks were over priced considering that you couldn't even taste the alcohol. We asked our waitress if we could buy an extra shot for our drinks, and she s

Came with a group of 8 people we had separate tables the place was empty but all their tables dirty, such a bad customer service so my table gets all the food the other one waited more than 45 minutes for freaking nachos. At the end we ask for their food to go but they gave us such an attitude to make it worse the nachos never arrived, so we asked a for refund and again management and server were ugly one more time. Will not becomend the place super dirty and stuff everywhere ??????????????????

I'm old, (over 60) and I had a good time with my granddaughters. They were games there for the little one who's four, as well as the older one who's close to 13. It was a pleasant atmosphere in the food was good.

Food was not very good. Service was the worse I have ever experienced. Food took forever to come out. They brought out one plate then 15 minutes later another. One person waited well over an hour for CHIPS AND SALSA! Waitress hardly acknowledged us. Had to call her down for everything. Doesn't seem like most of the employees care to do their job!? Gaming is absurdly price and half the games don't work properly. Place is going down hill fast!

The service was so bad that we literally could not stop laughing at the table. It actually kind of made our night better at how funny it was XD The first server we had was 100% on some kind of downer, could not could answer and questions, and there isn't even prices on 90% of their items on their menu. We ordered one of the big big towers and once it arrived all it was doing was shooting foam everywhere and it was also maybe only the size of a medium sized bubba cups. Manager said they never used them and

We waited in the entrance for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to approach us to get a table. I eventually went to the bar and asked an employee how we get a table and they pointed out a women who was on her phone standing besides us the entire time who said maybe 2 words to us during our entire interaction. That was extremely frustrating, but once we were seated, our waitress Emily was fabulous. We got an appetizer platter and wings, food took 20 minutes but came out hot and delicious. Would go again if

Great place and people had a Surprise Birthday party in the private rooms they were very attentive and food was great.

Great place for children and adults! I don't know who had more fun my boys or myself!!

Although I've never been inside a D&B before, my first time here was an amazing time! I can best describe this as an "adult Chuck E. Cheese's", to bring up my childhood. This place has all the newest arcade games from all different genres, ensuring that everyone can find something they love. Prizes are pretty standard for any upscale arcade, but I think the reason so many people come here is for the group entertainment experiences. If you're in the mall with a few hours to kill, be sure to stop by! If this

Any game issues were handled quickly and efficiently. The staff always had a smile for us. We had a small group of five adults and had an absolute ball hanging out.

BEWARE FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!! For almost 1k, I expected a bit more. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it's been frozen and then thawed twice, the chicken bites were an appetizer, the fries were actually the best part. We had a total of 27 people, the trays are supposed to feed up to 20?I had 15 children and they all BARELY ate, adults had nothing. Good thing I ordered two extra trays which are also WAY over priced at $60 a piece, I was hoping the ?dinner? that came with the package, fed at least the kids

Never again. We get in there pay like 65 for the card to play games. Go to play a game, none of them work. They said the system was down. Ok cool. Waited over 30 minutes and system still was down. Wife asked for a refund they said they couldn't because the system. But how the system down if yall expecting peoples payments. On top of that I sat at the bar for 5 minutes waiting on a bartender just for one drink.

We ordered food and reloaded our card. The server wiped years of built up tickets and play points. The manager then said to call a number to get our points back.

Will most likely not return to this location. A few games were broken and were not closed down.

Let me say the arcade was amazing. The food and cleanliness of the restaurant was sub par. The kids meals were disappointing and my burger was ok. But we will back again...just eat someplace else first.

I understand this country is overweight. But don't shrink my portion that I pay for.

The arcade was great! It was clean and no machines out of order. The prices to play games are reasonable. We also ate there and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great! The flatbread pizza as an appetizer was outstanding. The mushroom cheeseburger stood out as one of the best I've has in awhile. The Hawaiian chicken sandwich tasted great also but beware it has a spicy kick to it. Will come here again.

We were there visiting from PA with my family and cousins family who lives here. The waitress was pretty good. It looked like she was running all over as if they were short staffed. But it also didn't seem to busy. And I did see other workers walking around with little worry that they had anywhere to be. The games were fun. The management that put the points thing together was genius as you can't use them all.. My food was delivered to the table at room temperature. The bacon was so cold it was as if it

Fun games - terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for our orders to be taken, over 30 for the food to arrive. Literally didn't receive any utensils or napkins - no checking up on the food / service, nothing. D&B needs to pay their employees more if they struggle this much with adequete staffing. It looked like a manager was the only server AND bartender. Been to several d&b locations and spent lots of money, by far the worst one i've been to. Hopefully they get their staffing under control

Three times now. Find something new like every visit! Wedsnesday are half off games and Thursdays are $20 unlimited non ticket games and Wings! I'm unsure about the bar but when i visited, it was half off all drinks which was great!

Dave & Busters is finally open, although the arcade area will not be open until March 26th. This drink I got was absolutely amazing.. the ice cubes are strawberry infused and the rim is lined with sugar.

Food is ok. Definitely not "fresh" but there's an interesting variety. Have had a good adult drink or two though! Usually busy but not packed. Plenty of game choices. Most of the staff is very friendly. Only complaint is the lack of employees. There's ALWAYS a wait; to cash in tickets, order a drink, get a table, get help at a machine... game choices vary from little kid to adult-ish. There are a couple VR type games and activities also.

Service and food items were great earlier, but not any longer? games and other fun items are still available though? can be improved.

The waitresses and staff were really nice the waitress even brought drinks to us without asking them to I would rate them a 1,000/1,000 and I will definitely go back.

We just went to play games last time but have enjoyed the food as well. You can get some pretty good deals and staff is always friendly

Tasty food and good drinks. I gave it 5 stars. That 4 was a mistake. I always enjoy the food there and the drinks.

Took over 15 minutes to get a server and when we did it was the bartender ! Then took over 35 minutes to get 2 salads ! No silverware mind you I went up to the manger and she looked clueless ! Wouldn't let me do half a star so you get 1 ! The place wasn't busy neither . More ppl in for games then food .

Exciting place, lots of fun. Hard to get help if you need it.

The drinks were awesome, and the arcade is perfect. The rest? Ehh. We went here for my birthday, and on Destiny, it says D&B offers a dessert. They do not. We were sat at the middle tables, squished in against the backs of other people and so close to another that we couldn't sit on one side of the table. The food was lacking, subpar at best, with some ingredients tasting fake. Fries were cold and stale. Anyways, wouldn't recommend. Especially if it's a special event. I was super excited to finally go out

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
