Dave & Buster's Silver Spring

Dave & Buster's Silver Spring

Reviews Summary

Dave & Busters offers a mixed experience with entertainment often outshining dining. Many praise the fun atmosphere, wide game selection, and family-friendly appeal, though some note overly difficult game settings. Food quality varies—some find it tasty (especially bar items), while others call it mediocre or bland. Service is inconsistent: some staff receive high marks for attentiveness, but delays, neglect, and poor management are frequent complaints. Happy hour and event screenings are highlights, but racial profiling and ID disputes have marred visits for some. Overall, it’s better for games than dining.

Always love the foods and drinks at this place ??..I'd always come back just for the food. It is smaller than the one in Arundel Mills Mall but still offers so much fun with plenty of games to play.

When I tell you, I'd just come to Dave & Busters just for the food I'm not lying! It's so good. My husband and I split the barbacoa quesadilla that is served with guacamole. The guac was so fresh and the quesadilla was so yummy! Will come back for them alone. We ate it so fast that we forgot to take a picture. My husband had the Cajun shrimp pasta- swapped out the shrimp for chicken. I got the $35 game card with a fountain drink and the lemon pepper wings that comes with fries and celery. Wish it had more c

The service here is usually a gamble. We went for Super Bowl Sunday and it was actually fairly decent. Our server, Pablo (I believe that's his name, it was so loud), definitely tried to keep up with the demand. The place was fairly packed during peak game time and it was just busy throughout the dining area. The food was pretty good and didn't take too long. We tried dining at this location before and it was disappointing. We were seated by the host and the server never came to our table after 20 minutes a

Came in on 2/22/25 (around 6pm) on a solo outing by myself I am a woman of African descent, dark skin and aged in my 30's. I wore an orange shirt, gold hoop earrings, cat eye glasses, jeans, and had my hair straight. I came into the game room to play only. I lost my gold hoop earring. I went to the front restaurant area (adjacent to the bar next to the star wars game) to ask if anyone has seen my gold hoop earring. There was a group of lady waitresses that were in the 20-40's age group. I approached a waitr

The service at the restaurant needs to be improved. There is no motivation to works towards a good service, since you pay everything in advance through the app. Overall the food was ok , I'll recommend to stick with the appetizers. In general about the arcade: great on cleaning constantly the different games, good game options.

We had my son's 10th birthday party a couple weekends ago. They handled everything perfectly. Even leading up to the party, the people I spoke to were really reassuring (I'm a planner and they reassured me many times). The day of the party more people came than planned and they were beyond flexible. Peter and Walt were fantastic and I appreciate everyone who helped (whose names I don't recall). Highly recommend if you want a stress free, fun environment.

Took my family to Dave & Buster had a ball. Then went to eat the food and service was fabulous. Definitely will come back again. Omar was our server and he was magnificent.

Went for the Canelo vs Berlanga fight. Great screens to watch, can't say the same about the food or service. Understandably, it was a busy night. We (group of 7) didn't expect immediate service but we waited 40 min at our table without interaction from any staff. 30 mins in, we talked to two people- bussers, I think, if they could find our server. They never came back. Then when a server passed our section at 12:20, we asked her for the same help, and she said the kitchen was closed but she'd get the manag

Came here with my son to watch Wrestlemania 42. We had Lolana (possibly misspelled) for our server, and she was perfect! Respectful, well-spoken, positive attitude, and an absolutely beautiful girl. She made our night very special.

In-depth review as a gamer. I went with my wife and only played the co-op games with 135 credits (CR), plus the card fee at $28 with 15 bonus CR. 150 CR at 8 CR avg. per game equals 8.5 co-op plays within 40 minutes. Difficulty: They need to nerf the settings a bit, becuase these games are set way too difficult, when you just want to enjoy it. Each game should last 2.5 minutes, that would be great with the high cost, because you'll blow through your CR quickly. Game Reviews with credit and time estimates

If you can manage the longest wait for an elevator in modern American history (or just use the many escalators), this D&B can feel a bit tight compared to other sites but when you're there with elementary school-aged kids, that layout works in your favor when you want to let them roam free while you get a drink at the bar. My kids? biggest complaint is that the games don't get swapped out enough but we still find ourselves here every few months and the staff has always been patient and helpful and not in yo

A good place for games, food and sports. There's a large number of games, Aton of big screens and it's as loud as it should be. Prices for both food and games are more than reasonable. But you'll have to wait for the food. A long time. Overall well worth a visit. And make sure you test the Halo game.

The store is well maintained and most games are up and running. Wide game selections and the WIN at the location is one of the best in the area. Today's a slower day, a Tuesday and a no school snow day (1/7). We are just here for some fun as usual. However, a white male manager on duty in the afternoon was rude and unprofessional. The way he talks and his wording make people feel uncomfortable and not welcomed.

Arrived at 11am with my niece and nephew only for the door to be locked. Cool? Waited until 11:20 with the manager who check to see if the door was locked walking from the front to the inside and pass the door. If it says 11am it should always be 11am. Were on our way home now to find something else to do..

I had a great time here for happy hour with the girls! $5 drinks and affordable food! Who can beat it? Aj and Deven was a servers at the bars, or bartenders I should say and they did an amazing job! I loved the vibe, the energy and how they didn't hover over us. Gave us just enough service and time to order while being around for us to order more, at our own discretion. The ambiance was chill; they had enough seats for us to sit in and enjoy the time. So I will definitely be back to play games maybe and fo

Great addition to downtown silver spring. This place is spotless and very few games out of order. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Awesome place to bring a group of friends. They have a wide variety of updated games and the prizes are fully stocked. Parking and navigating around this maze is really simple

The waiter didn't know what was on the menu certain items I ordered I was told they didn't sell the item and they did. My food looked a mess and was not up to quality standard. They did not offer a replacement or anything. I was very unhappy with this experience. I left no tip at all. Teach your waiter to learn the menu as a part of their training.

Very good/strong drinks, good appetizers and a fun environment. The bartenders were all friendly. They are currently practicing social distancing due to Covid; you have to wear a mask when you're not at your table.

We went in on Friday 6/28 and it was fantastic!!! The Jell-O shots pair well with the Jameson Long Island Iced Tea while watching POWER SLAP VIII on gigantic TV's. Definitely going back for POWER SLAP VIIII

Went to eat and play with my family, Saida the manager went above and beyond for us. Rare to see to see people in the service industry who does their job with such love and dedication. Thank you.

HVAC must have been broken because the entire space was easily 80 degrees, to the point I felt bad for those that worked there. Many of the machines would take credits and end up not working. Hand sanitizers need to be stationed throughout because the touch points are never cleaned while guests visit. Didn't expect much from the menu - Food is typical bar food and quite salty. Overall subpar.

Completely ignored till we moved to the bar. Pat was very attentive once we moved. The food is blah. Probably would have been better if it were warm. Nachos were ok... but flat and nothing like the tower in the picture. Wings are SMALL and cold. The French fries that came with them, were cold and stale. Drinks (and Pat) were the highpoint. The area for food seems smaller compared to other D and Bs. You blow through a lot of money on the games... but that's normal. The prize area seems under stocked compared

The bartender gave me moldy orange slice and stuck it to the side of my Bluemoon glass. Didn't even offer to replace my beer when I brought it up with the waiter. Waiter was super nice and understanding throughout the whole meal when I showed him the slice. Eventually they discounted the beer at the end of the meal. But I wanted my beer more than a discount....

The food was really good that we ordered. Compliments of our waiter. Drinks were good. U want them to stay strong ask for a separate cup of ice. Place was clean. Games were good.

We had a bad experience with the food service at the restaurant portion of the facility. This rarely happens where I feel the need to write about it online, but it was that bad! However, with that being said, the entertainment section here was super fun and there was a ton of different games to choose from. We had a great time nonetheless. The 1 star review was for the waitress we had that night. It was terrible service. She was apathetic, brought our food and forgot to bring sauces which i needed for

I had an amazing experience at Dave & Buster's, largely thanks to our phenomenal server, Leilani! From the moment we sat down, she was attentive and full of great recommendations. She even did a last call for happy hour, which was a nice touch. My son absolutely loved his chicken tenders, and Leilani made sure to check back with us to ensure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was lively, and the arcade games were a blast. I highly recommend this place for a fun outing. Great food, awesome games, and ex

I go D&B quite frequently due to the kids enjoying the games and D&B having a great happy hour during the week. However, the customer service is lacking. At times you are waiting a while to be acknowledge, you have to wait a time to get a drink despite the place not being busy. The manager is not helpful or efficient when solving issues. Furthermore the food is lack luster . D&B needs to do better in the customer service department.

I have been around the DMV area for the past 6 years. I wanted to show my wife how nice this place is, because I have been here quite often recently and really liked it. But this evening, for the first time in the six years I have been in the US, I got denied alcoholic beverage service by the overenthusiastic, but mainly arrogant looking waiter Max, because he refused to acknowledge my completely legally Dutch Government issued Drivers license. He did not refer to any local policy, just mentioned that it H

Had some time to kill so wife and I got some cards. We each got $25 cards and gave us just a bit over 300 points, most games were in the 6- to 8 range of points. I only noticed one game that was out of order and we were able to get on a lot of two player games without any wait or only waiting on minute or two. Place was clean and not too crowded. We didn't focus much on tickets but did end up with about 400 and was able to get a wine bottle topper

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday dinner at Dave and Buster's and he really enjoyed himself. The staff is outstanding, very professional and very friendly. They made his day rememberable, which I truly appreciated. The food was on point.

Ok food. Great for kids. Not great for single-threaded mental focus! ??

Staff at the front were not welcoming. Ask a question. I never got an answer.. The food was really good.

Great place for eat, play, remember your childhood, the price are good. Awesome place if you just want to drink something and spend time with friends. Also can make birthday parties for kids. The food is delicious.

We had the most awesome two servers for my son's 13th birthday party on June 11th. They were on their A game even if it was for 14 jumpy, energetic teenage boys. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their time there. RaeAnn was extremely helpful putting our buffet together, making sure everyone was catered to. Would definately recommend throwing a birthday party here!!!

The salad was worth it... very savory... and well proportioned. I didn't give D&B 5 stars, because I felt like it creating a society of gamblers with every card swipe equivalated to chips like a casino...

Great location, a lot of fun games to play. Fun for adults and kids. The bar was very busy so the wait time outrageous. But understandable because it was fight night. Games are pricey compared to other places. If you have more than 2 kids, be ready to spend $$. We spent $160 in games only.

I have a minus in my account due to a system/error issue. My card was charged three times.

Was invited to a birthday party and it was really fun to play all kinds of games and arcades.

So we spun the proverbial block and they are still awesome! Ryan was amazing.also it's criminal for them not to allow us to rate that smash burger. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. Ryan was chill about my nieces when they were cutting up. Never wavered. I thought I wrote this review already but I realized it was under my other professional email. As yall know, I critique hard. This man checked all the boxes. I never felt without great service. Thanks for your service on my birthday sir.

This is super bad service... I made a complaint to Ely the manager or supervisor and the bad service continued. I invited my friend from Florida here to enjoy the game. We dont drink alcohol so we asked for our burgers and 2 cokes. Wanting to make another menu selection, we could never find our waiter. Our cokes were empty and no way of getting them filled... once we complained to Ely, he mentioned he was sorry and that they were busy... they were not busy. Most of the waitresses were sitting at the bar wat

Nice experience with my family ?? we have fun ?? my daughter was very excited about all the ?? We love it. We recommend ?? for all of would you like to have a good time....

Had fun playing games etc. Menu has been condensed... likely an effect of the pandemic. Didnt see much going g on as far as cleaning etc. But they had a few of the large sanitizer pumps out for people to use.

Half the machines are in various states of disrepair that affect the gameplay and it's really expensive for what you get. The only real reason to come is to play the halo fireteam raven machine

Best arcade in Silver Spring with an amazing food menu, a perfect Happy Hour, weekday PowerLunch Specials, and Industry Night Specials on Sunday nights!

Ryan was a phenomenal server. He kept the drinks flowing and was not bothered by my disruptive but cute nieces. The food was incredible and the shots were poured perfectly to the point where we got 3 rounds. The fries here are so good with the aioli

Celebrating bday with family service and food great

I come often but they have a habit of ignoring people sitting down . I waited 20 mins before anyone even tied to take my order. Suck to, cause I tip well. I've never had a problem with the food itself just the services.

The food is amazing, I practically had to roll out of there. I dont know who the manager was today but he is awesome. It's a fun place to be

As I currently sit here, I'm writing a review. The bartender has an attitude as if she doesn't want to be here but I understand management left her by herself which is unprofessional on their part. All around the bar are left over glasses and dirty napkins. Everyone came in not knowing where to sit because it was filthy everywhere. I even witnessed guest leaving.

The food is not really good. The ice cream was good, but the cake was waay to sweet and not really good. Customer service is good tho. And I had fun playing:)

This is our go to spot! There's never a wait, food is on point, and our favorite bartender, AJ...always gets us right!

Good for kids, food mediocre, stick with classic bar food, which is prefoctable. Slow and poor service. Salad had old leaves and while the manager asked about the food, he didn't do anything to fix it when I told him. Kids love the place, so for a special treat it's good. Next time I won't eat there. Cheaper on Weds.

Lots of fun games and delicious drinks. The signature shots are especially good. The service was very good as well. We had a great time.

This place has the worst service in a five mile radius. The waitress disappeared constantly but was clearly upset about not being able to accommodate everyone efficiently. Shout out to the waiter Nolan who completely helped us out. I believe that the management is the real problem here which would explain why every aspect of the restaurant seemed to be a mess. When we were walking around the bar looking to get some water, we were snapped at by a manager. We were just looking around the bar for someone to he

Our food was good. The service was great. We had a soccer team there and our waiter did awesome and was very organized. Our food came out quickly and was hot and accurate. The games were fun for the kids. We were bummed there weren't any deals for meals and game card combos, but oh well. The one thing worth mentioning is the location. It's in a mall. If you park at the garage connected to the mall, there's a walkway over to the mall on the 5th floor.

Had a nice time with my family. The waiter James was wonderful!

This was the first Dave & Buster's I've ever been to and it was so fun!! It's kinda ridiculous that the minimum amount you can spend on tickets is $25 they should have a $10 option at least. Do not do the photoshoot booth. ?? It was so disorienting and our pictures came out bad. It is not worth $5. We were taller than where the camera was placed so we had to kneel down. They don't even show you what you look like as the picture is being taken. Other than that I enjoyed the games, there are so many awesome

Location is great! Food keeps getting worse, somehow. The wait for service, at table or bar, is forever. Had fun at the games!

Ordered the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita for half price at Happy Hour and it is as so delicious! Went right up to the bar and the bartender was really friendly and made the drink super fast.

Slow service at the restaurant even though it was pretty empty. The food was also very bland and definitely not worth the prices. Not sure if this all D&Bs but the games are programmed in a way where you can lose A LOT of money! You can keep tapping the card before playing the game. My niece wasted 100 points playing like 4 games because she kept tapping it over and over again. They shouldn't allow the games to keep charging points after one round is played for.

Excellent tasty food served on time too. Cocktail mixture I haven't drank it anywhere else so perfectly blended and wonderfully made. Customer service was great manager doing a great job too.

This place is a scam. We have been to multiple Dave & Busters, but this one is done horribly. They charged us for more drinks than what we ordered and the drinks(sodas & tea) had stuff floating in them. We told them to just bring water and still got charged for their nasty tea. Their tablet kept getting an ?error? when I paid and declined because I would approve the charge for the amount then it would try to charge my card an additional $5. She finally went and ran it on a computer. BUT this morning w

This is a fantastic place. Very large. Food and bar is all the way in the back. Very advanced intricate games. Other are regular. Otherwise it has the arcade experience. The only thing I didn't like was the prize room, it looked like someone robbed the prize room. Everything was gone. Ha.

This is our second family birthday we've celebrated at the silver spring Dave and Buster's and we enjoy ourselves each time.. we're already planning on our next visit. Only thing is, they need more bartenders..

Screaming and cursing behind us not long after being seated. Security removed the offenders. Waited and waited at our table for service. No one even acknowledged our presence. Moved to the bar where things were much better and attentive service. Update* After completing on-line comments as instructed by D&B it's just like waiting for service at a table. Ignored! Still waiting! What a pitiful business plan. Avoid this D$B's

Great place for pre-concert drinks and food. Also is open after to finish off the night.

The bartender was great and very Informative, he also made good drinks. Wait staff are slow and seem not to know the menu. my food was cold. Oh and a glass of wine is 15 DOLLARS Unless you catch it on happy hour.

Such a fun place to go! The food was delicious and the games are soo entertaining! Great place to bring family and friends! Got an awesome light up cup too ??

Kudos to this staff. I came here to watch UFC 303 and have had mixed results at other establishments such as BWW when it comes to watching PPV fights. This staff was equipped and prepared to show the fight and the transition from prelims to the PPV card was seamless. The beer towers were incredibly affordable, a great deal. Our food was great too. My only complaint is that it made me really full. Terrific team work by the staff here

Welcomed by the ladies in the front. They were very nice! Self seating for food. Took 15 min for anyone to come to our table. Ordered 2 waters and asked if a hazy beer was on tap and told yes. Another 10-15 min go by and still no drinks. The server who took our order walked passed the table multiple times without bringing drinks or acknowledging us again. Finally a different server comes over with our waters and a canned beer that wasn't what was ordered. We didn't stay to order food. I would have understoo

5 Stars for Hosting the Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner Pay Per View Fight for only a 5$!!!! Only 5 bucks at the door with reentry and select unlimited Game cards. I am very pleased to leave this review and confident in such a high rating for several reasons. Number one it was a very visible police presence, and they was definitely about action not just chilling watching the fight. Second we arrived about 45 minutes before the main event and it was packed but they showed the fight on every screen so whatev

We got to D&B and it wasn't crowded at all. Took the youngins that were the host, 15mins to seat us. Now sitting down for dam near a hour before a waiter come and finally decides to take our order. Horrific service. So we decided to go elsewhere. Right across the street where the service and food was phenomenal. Thanks again D&B but never again ????

Go for games, NOT FOR FOOD/DRINKS. Went to enjoy late night Wednesday half price games and food & $5 drinks. Service was extremely slow, as in, it's hard to even get to place an order, but whatever, tried to give the single bartender the benefit of the doubt as he was nice when we did finally interact. BUT I have a gluten sensitivity and specifically asked for labelled, Non Gluten containing menu items. I even double checked allergen lists from D&B corporate to ensure I was choosing options I could eat. I

Upon arrival, we went to the host stand where we found two people on their phones. We asked if we picked a table or they sat us. One of the people sat us and left immediately. After about 10 minutes, she came back to get our orders. After another 30 minutes, two out of five of our meals arrived by a different lady on her phone while handing us our food. Another 5 minutes went by without the rest of our food and we went to ask and yet again, they were on their phones. After 5 more minutes we got the rest of

Lyell was very patient and courteous wait staffer. Unfortunately the facilities were dirty and the rest the staff was confused and disorganized. Definitely not coming to this location ever again.

Huge five stars for the staff on-site who went above and beyond to make sure that my 10yo had a great birthday party! We greatly appreciated how the team shared their allergen menu in advance, and the service we received in the private room. Thanks also to the managers for all their help with game cards and tickets for our guests.

Super fun for the family and kids! My nieces love it! Good food as well. It's a little loud but once you're playing you don't notice it at all!

Service was truly bad, they racially profile people that come in. I had a horrible time celebrating my sons birthday & asked to be compensated due to the foul treatment, the manager denied, also tried to Re Identify me, after going down stairs for air after i spent a great amount of money, my son couldnt finish his game because they wouldnt let me re enter to get my ID. Please fix the management & the way you all handle people & things, not everyone is from that area to know what goes on!

I usually don't dine in (I've had several bad experiences), but I had to because I was with all the kiddos and their friends and they were getting hungry. Word of advice if you dine here, GET OMAR AS YOUR SERVER. He went above and beyond with us. He even accommodated 2 extra people that joined us later on. He was very attentive and constantly came over to check on us. The whole experience was enjoyable. He most deff earned his tip!

My family and I came here yesterday afternoon. Surprisingly, it was not crowded at all, I'm assuming because of Mother's Day. Some of the machines were down, which was a bummer. We ate at the restaurant area and I have to give a shout out to Cordell (I hope that was his name), it has been a looooong time since we've had superb customer service and I was pleasantly surprised that it was at Dave and Busters.... Management, if you are reading, that man deserves a raise because the customer service that he ha

My son was completely scammed at Dave & Busters Silver Spring. We came in for President's day buy $20 get $20 game play. What they don't mention anywhere in the promotion that if you spend more than $20 then you don't get the extra $20. We bought $35 recharge only to be told that you have to buy exactly $20 to get the added $20. If those are the rules then that should be clear before you purchase. The management at this location is also the most condescending man. We're not ever returning here.

Had the livingsocial deal with unlimited games for the blue games. It was good but that got boaring fast. All the best games are other colors. Either way it was still a way to have budgeted fun with the kiddos

I had lots of fun hanging out with friends here. The staff was really friendly. I hadn't been to a DB in several years and was surprised by the the no physical tickets anymore. They have upgraded with the times so they use a card and saving on paper which is nice. The bartender asked for Id?s of all members of the party which is important too. Overall, it was a great experience.

Good happy hour and fun games. Here for the wings.

I had a birthday party for my two kids here in 2019 and the staff was ready and very organized! Everyone loved the food and drinks offered. Also, the kids had a great time playing the games. Well worth paying the extra for all day game pass with the birthday bundle.

Overall had a good time, the place was clean and seemed on the newer side, had fun playing the virtual bowling and clown throwing game. We enjoyed the prize selection and it wasn't too busy for a Friday night. My main complaint is the staff, they were rude, and apathetic. I enjoy Dave and Busters but probably wouldn't return to this location.

I really enjoyed the service I received here, but the food was somewhat bland and drinks weren't the greatest. Idk if it was possibly just an 'off' night. Bc of the overall good experience &how attentive & efficient the servers were I'd be willing to try it again on another occasion.

Kobe Bryant mamba out plaque rookie year and last game raffle I wanted that bad. Who ever when it sale it to me

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
