Customer Reviews

I had such a fun time at a graduation party at Dave & Buster's! The private room was a really nice touch, and even though the catered food was just okay, it didn't take away from the celebration. Our server, Lilli, was absolutely fantastic?super friendly and attentive!

Great place to have a great time as an adult or with the kids. Food and service are great, beer is cold and the games are fun.

After 5 years, I'm finally back in San Diego! 5 starts to 3 now. I'm so happy my girlfriends invited me out, it's their first time here, so I was really excited to join them and spend a fun Wednesday at Dave & Buster?s, even if I arrived a bit late after work. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disappointing. My friends waited almost an hour before someone even checked in on them or their food. Thankfully, I got my order faster, probably because I went straight to the bar and asked, since I was really h

Service was a bit rude and short tempered, unwelcoming people in the front putting your money onto cards. Drinks are overpriced for a chain, games are also very overpriced I paid $15 to play 3 basketball games and 2 games of skee ball. Won't be back. Will try coin-op or monstar soon and support more local business.

Food was great, prices were insanely high for a small glass, got a 6oz margarita for $17!!! wasn't worth it to add an ?extra? shot of tequila? service was mediocre atmosphere was pretty loud, but overall had a good time.

Entertainment for adults and kids. Nice to hang out, good beer, sincerely not the best burger I've had, GPT fries are bomb though

This Dave and Busters rocks! The food is great, the sports bar is always poppin and of course the best part is the games and arcade. It is very easy to lose track of time in here because there's lots of games to play and it's very fun. The prizes are pretty cool too. It's awesome for adults and kids alike! I hit the jackpot on one of the games and it was CRUNK!

The food was very good, our server brought it to us hot and delicious. Our server was very attentive, she checked on us often and was very nice to my daughter. The place was nice and clean like always. The games were working properly and there were so many options for prizes for my son to choose from, after he collected his points.

We ordered a shareable drink. Failed to tell us that they didn't have anymore of the shareable keg cups they use & just gave us a regular cup & we were so confused. Friend ordered nachos & had a plastic large object in her food. The waiter Arturo took it , then came back & said okay we took the nachos off the check? my friend was still hungry ??!! Didn't ask if she wanted it replaced or something else just nothing. She just agreed not to get anything so I shared my plate with her. This service was WILD! Gam

I don't know how D&B possibly has a 4.2 where yelp is a 2.8. Based on my numerous visits, from me they get a 1. Managers are shady as used car dealers. Have a problem? They tell you they can't help and will literally walk away. Ordered a pizza to-go, was burned when I got home and took it out of the box. Came back next day and manager tried to make it right, yet failed to tell his staff not to burn the pizza...again. I declined it and asked for refund, manager said "no refunds" and walked away. No worries

Always a great time at Dave and Busters! Great food and games, but service at the diner could be improved.

My family of four came here for Mother?s Day and it was a great idea. We took the trolley and the walk from the trolley was a bit wild but not too far. I made a table reservation since it was our first time to make sure we had a table. There was no need for a reservation since it was less busy. We sat where we wanted. We ordered the eat and play combo. We did the basic one and the forty dollar one and played many games. The waiter was knowledgeable and honest about the best deals. The smash burger was go

First time ever going to a Dave & Busters and the food was okay. We got the ribs which were a little dry but were still good to eat and the wings were tasty just wish they weren't cold. Our server was very attentive and the staff were all very helpful. The atmosphere and games are worth it! We had a bit of trouble with our card but all the staff including the manager were quick to help us. The drinks were amazing! I would definitely not hesitate to go again!

they advertise a 19.99 eat & play combo on their app, but when you arrive you see that it's truly 22.99. yeah i know it's only a $3 difference, but it's the principle of the matter. your app states what it states even when the location is set to San Diego. and i know I'll probably just get an automated response to fill the form on their site (which i did, check pics) but it's just a shame.

It was a little busy but the date went amazing a lot of fun and you can always get a buzz with a beer can't go wrong with the food either

I come here every Friday with my grandkids. I used to bring my kids when they were younger. Recently their service has been horrendous. I had 4 cards, and I asked the girl behind the counter to converge them into 2 evenly. She put the majority on one card and then said that I had to download the app to fix it. Poor communication and worse service. This tradition has come to an end.

The place has a fun mix of arcade games for all ages?everything from classic favorites to newer games. The gifts we could redeem from the points had a nice collection of items, which was a fun bonus at the end. We'd definitely come back for another round!

Very American childhood dream. You can buy onto your card and some games give you tickets and they can go toward prizes which is cool. They offer 7 dollar alcoholic drinks, which is great. Some games have a place to leave your drink and others don't, which is annoying cause you just have to put the drink on the ground. The food here is nice also we had the cheese sticks and boneless wings which were nice. Drinks and food overall good price. Toilets were clean, which is an added bonus. Would definitely go to

Arcade games are fun to play with family. Pretty much standard arcade entertainment like others. It's not so cheap, though price wise. Food is great inside if you are interested in playing and dining at the same time.

Games are expensive, expect $100 to let you play about 10-12 games and you'll probably win a pixie stick. The floor and bathrooms are really grose. Trash and dirty glasses everywhere, they should be ashamed of their bathrooms. Only redeeming star was my salmon southwest salad. Fun if your 21 and going on a date, or if you have kids and you want to enjoy a drink while your kids play.

I loved this place, it was my first time there, I went with my husband and friends and we had so much fun playing the games! The manager came to our table, introduced herself and was very friendly! They took some funny pictures of us that we ended up getting! We had some beers and some appetizers! I'll be back for sure!

Dave & Buster?s Family Visit ? Mixed Experience We visited Dave & Buster?s as a family of four (two adults and two kids) on a weekend afternoon. While the arcade ended up saving the trip, our overall experience was brought down significantly by a frustrating and disappointing dining experience. Dining: A Major Letdown Right From the Start We started our visit by trying to get something to eat, but it was a struggle from the beginning. We waited over 15 minutes next to a booth full of dirty dishes, trying

This D&Bs is in a super unique location. Under the interchange only adds to the fun. The location is spacious inside and kept generally pretty clean. However, the day we went it was a 30 min wait for dine in and open seating was limited but we found a table. Only one server for the whole bar area made service extremely slow. We never got napkins or cutlery. Fries were good and burger was ok. The game area was fun, I really enjoyed some of the games. Everyone had a good time. For what it was I would give it

First time going to a Dave and Buster's, and I gotta say, it's a very cool arcade and restaurant mix. The food was delicious, but what surprised me was how soft and moist the cake was. Absolutely delicious would get it again. The service was OK, but the server could've been a bit better. We had one who was real in and out and felt like we couldn't get the full order out properly to her, especially when it involved getting the drinks first. The arcade part was a blast, though some of the controls on the m

We had a great time. Our server was on top of everything. Food was hot and good. Although be careful when ordering, the portions are huge, we couldn't finish our food. The gameplay keeps the little ones happy. This is a great place to celebrate an event like a birthday.

It was fairly busy when we walked in. We sat at the bar to have some drinks and a little food. The bartender was inconsistent with serving all of us. My BIL had a difficult time getting a drink, but the rest of us got drinks timely. We both ordered the double pepperoni flat bread, and he got both pepperonis, but mine only had one type. We were too hungry to complain. This was a disappointing experience, for sure.

It was the best experience I could ever dream of in an arcade. Played video games, went on a motorcycle and ate delicious food. One thing they could improve on is having more than one area to use the bathroom and just basic safety. Kids were running around and they could easily trip. A good idea is to have a couple employees walking around making sure everybody is having a good time and not hurting themselves.

The staff here are not very friendly or welcoming. The woman at the front was more interested in dancing than answering questions, but she did help get us checked in. Our waitress told us our free appetizer coupon was already used (without checking) because it had a rip and kept insisting that was the case when I said it only had a rip, before agreeing to go check with her manager. Then she told us it was valid, but when the bill came the appetizer wasn't removed. I pointed it out and she left to go fix

Great place to spend a few hrs with the grandkids and play some racing gAmes with them. Don't get me wrong the place is expensive you need to go and purchase a game card we spend 60 on each grand kids not including food and drinks. The food was pretty average. They do have signs to let people know your still using the table, otherwise they clear it very quickly. the memories of Grandma and Grandpa racing motorcycles and shooting aliens with them will be remembered for their lifetime. Highly recommend it. Th

Dave and Buster's is located in the heart of San Diego's Mission Valley. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the area. The dining rooms and restroom were clean. The first visit can be a bit overwhelming trying to figure out where to go. If you are eating, there is a host stand tucked away and hard to see at first. If you are only playing games, you have to buy a card with game credits. We opted for dinner before playing games. They offer a nice variety of menu items including appetizers,

Went Thursday for the $21.99 all you can eat wings and unlimited games. The wings were decent with good sauce. They come 5 at a time. The waitress brought out two orders to get started and additional wings came quick. The games, on the other hand, were a little disappointing. You could only play about 20% of the games. Only blue lit games were available. Most premium games and games with tickets were not available. Still had fun though. Overall, it was still a good deal and fun.

Food was pretty good. Our server Carlos seemed to be having a problem with the tablet. Had to tell him my drink order about 4 times and he forgot my wife?s food. So probably won't be back.

Dave and Busters is my go-to spot for fun! I absolutely love this place! I spend way too much time and money here, but I love it so much! The coin ousher games are my absolute favorite, and I also win stuff for my wife! Highly recommend this for groups, families, birthday parties, etc. This place is so so so fun! They also offer amazingly good food and drinks! The garlic parm fries are my FAVORITE!!!!

Food was good EXCEPT. We received a dirty cup of soda that had a creamy white substance on the inside that we did not find out until my partner finished their drink already. Service could be better, the arcade was good. The arcade gave my review a 2nd star.

Catch the game and a cold one at Dave & Buster?s! Perfect spot for NCAA hoops with rowdy screens and a killer beer lineup. Happy hour (4-7PM Mon-Fri) made my IPA sips sweeter and my wallet happier. Cold brews, hot hoops, arcade vibes? MVP-worthy combo!

I did not order food, but when in a wensday to play games with my teenagers and they had fun. I'm upset that they claim to have rides, and only found one that bearlly moves and it was broken down, I thinks they shall remove the part of the website where it saids they have rides. if you are into video games it will be perfect, but if you you expect rides, skip it and go to a fair. Overall my teenagers had a blast, and I had a blast. service was amazing for staff was kind n patient in answering questions sin

Took my nieces for there birthday on a Saturday. It was super packed. We were told our wait time to for a table was an hour and a half. So we went to get lay games but within 35-40 mins our table was ready. Right in front of the big screen for my husband to sit and watch the game. The server was very nice and gave us some great suggestions. My husband Hawaiian crispy chicken sandwich so delicious. The slaw was spicy but good. The only bad thing about it was that they put the wet slaw on the brioche bun, so

Not very happy. Sat to eat asked for a highchair from our waitress, then the bartenders, and finally a 3rd employee after a while. Next we asked for the Padre game, same 3 people then security to call me a manager. When she came she said it's blacked out and there's nothing she can do... well.. I said actually there is... you can train your people to respond in kind and timely. Rudeness leads to bad reviews, you should know this miss manager.

The place is entertaining to go one day, but I wouldn't go regularly. For kids is definitely a place to visit often. It has a good variety of games you could play. The food there was good but we had to wait a lot to be seated and then around 30 min more to wait for what we ordered. The parking lot is big enough. The restrooms were ok.

We celebrated our Party last night and it was AWESOME!! GREG and his staff are top tier! It was my first time coming and a bit nerves due to some reviews but I had an awesome time! They are busy but check on you and help out!

Awesome place, just like all locations bt horrible customer service, just like all the locations I've ever been to.. Smh If it wasn't for my boys, I would bother. But if you have kids to take care of than it becomes a no brainer .. Shout out to the idea of Dave and Busters

Although we have not tried the food but the kids enjoyed games with noticing many chips are used per game which is kind of pricy! however it's a cool place to go. We may next time try one of many many available restaurants which is recommended to reserve before dine in

Parking spaces are kind of tight. It seemed pretty busy on a Saturday night. We were a party of 4 and stuck to playing games. Even with a crowd we were able to find games and have a good time. Kids definitely love it.

So much to do for families. My kids were on spring break Emma's a perfect getaway for a couple hours. The manager came by made sure we were doing well. The food was good and a lot of entertainment for the whole family.

I organized a group event to bring our team together, and this was the best choice for staff or teambuilding. Pricing was amazing and staff was always on point. From the booking process and the actual event I was so happy. 18% tip wasn't enough for these guys.

Been here 4x recently. Most recent we ordered the sliders, and for the price they were absolutely not worth $14. Maybe if they came with fries, but those are a $9 plate at best. We got the Brussel sprouts, and they were very tasty and a much bigger portion than I expected. Well worth it at $8. We also got the Crisps and Guac, there were 3 puffed wheat crisps, and about 1.5 cups of guacamole. We covered the crisps with a 1/2in of guac and still had a lot left over. Absolutely well worth the $6, I'm getti

I gave them 1 star because they brought my appetizer out with my food! Like really? Who does that? You order an appetizer to have something to munch on while your waiting for your food. And they have these $5 appetizers. See photo. I ordered the nachos. Terrible! They barely put anything on them! No guacamole, no sour cream. Supposed to have black beans. I counted one! That's right, one SINGLE bean! Maybe you can see that in the photo! Don't waste your money coming here. I won't be back.

This past weekend, I made my first visit to Dave and Buster's. Although I had heard of your restaurant and many of my friends have been there before, I was not too sure what to expect. I can truly say it was a fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a smile by the hostess and was escorted to a table. We then ordered several different appetizers such as chicken tenders??, fries??, Pizza??. The waitress brought them out quickly and they all ta

My son and i went to play games and enjoy the ufc ppv. They were extremely busy, but my glass never ran empty, and my burger and fries were on point. The vibe was awesome, and we only ran into 1 game that was down, but it was no big deal. I used the app and got 100 free chips, too, and an additional 15% additional chips when we supercharged. We played for almost 2 hours straight and left sweaty from air hockey. Great service, and it's reasonably priced. The connect 4 basket ball is addicting. My only grip i

Always a fun time. Me and my partner. Go here. All the time. And really enjoy that atmosphere. And also the new games . It has been really enjoyable, going for the deals that Dave & Buster?s provides, especially the date night one that was a fun, one me and my partner are very competitive, so it was a fun night for us.

Kid friendly sports bar. Expect loud crowds on game day. Great for group get togethers and large parties. Food is average, service staff is friendly, given the crowds they must serve.

It was an awesome adventure. The last Dave & Busters I went to was in Florida 21years ago. My friends treated me. First we had dinner, I had a Mushroom burger (medium rare on a lettuce bun) with a garden salad vinaigrette dressing and a Rootbeer. That burger was scrumptious. Then we played all sorts of different games

Kids had a blast. Good collection of games for every age group. Generally a good experience. There was one game with a family camping in for an hour. They should consider putting a rotation on games included in unlimited passes. Staff was Generally good except one front desk person. She sounded like she didn't want to be there.

Regular visitor to Dave and Buster's San Diego, can easily name a great deal of the staff, lately something has been different though in terms of overall atmosphere and service, even food quality and how functional some of the games along the Midway are. They do have the best happy hour around though without question. It's nothing related to cost, more the overall vibe feels off and has made me less frequently wanting to visit with so many changes to policy and experiences for both guests and staff. In the

I used to love this place. That has certainly changed. How long does it take to get help? There are virtually no workers walking around. -broke games? Good luck getting a tech -want a server at the beer kiosk? Asking for Help is hilarious, workers ignore you, pretend to get you help, or act dumb so you're forced to ask someone else -got a table? Good luck getting your food in a timely manner (on a non-busy day) -asked your server for a box, condiments, bag, etc? You'll get 75% of that ignored

Celebrated my nephews birthday here and he did have a great time. We ordered food that includes game cards and its all worth it. My parents were surprised how big their serving is, but i guess its all good to sustain you when you play after ??. If you wanna celebrate your birthday and have fun at the same time, this is the place for you.

Came in the morning. Very clean environment. Loved how well everything was maintained. Would definitely come again to try happy hour. Some games were a little too loud though.

Great place to drink and play games. 1/2 off games on Wednesdays is the day to get your moneys worth.

Been going here for many years.place definitely rundown. Stinks like rotten egg and bathrooms are disgusting.food taste straight out of freezer to microwave. Tables never get plates picked up.i had to clean my party's table since no workers were helping, but they sure due tax on a big tip. Definitely DONT recommend this place.

D&B YOU HAVE A SECURITY ISSUE 3/29/25 I took my daughter to D&B for a fun night (we arrived at 6 pm). I walked into men's restroom to young teenage boys brawling, when I tried to break it up they turned on me... it was straight out of one of those Instagram fight videos... it was ugly...I hate to be that guy but they need to have a system that holds parents accountable for their kids. They could give everyone in that group wrist bands or whatever. Bottom line is that I did not feel safe letting my 12 year

The service was extremely slow. The food was good. There were games available for different ages.

My 5 year old loves to come here. It's so much fun for the whole family and even better with friends. So many video games, huge tvs showing all the sports games, and the food and drinks are decent for the price. Our service was excellent.

Great place for kids and adults of all ages. Huges screens to enjoy the game or fight in the dining area and the bar. The food is decently priced and as always delicious. More options seems to be available on the app so be sure to scan the QR Code if you're like me and prefer an old school menu in-hand. The arcade games and ticket award system in pretty game. The VR experience is cool and allows you to choose five different VR themes but is an additional $6 paid at the front desk. Drinks are also good.

I wish they would keep more of the classic arcade games. Seriously, they're got rid of the best games. You run out of games to play after 30min. It's just not what it used to be. The food at the bar area is good and staff members are nice.

I had the Chicken Nachos . Less than 1 Oz. Of Chicken there! Mostly jalape?os and chips for about $20. Very Disappointed ??

I love this place it's very fun. You can order veggie burgers with NO meat that's something great for people that are quiting meat. Also I ?ike very much the arcade of Ghostbusters it's definitely for vegans I think, because the game show a kitchen and the ghosts are turkeys perfect for me and I think that teach us a lesson to respect animals.

Great place to go just to have fun or to hang out with friends and family! Some of the games have broken things like the guitar hero had broken buttons and strumming and the VR machine had broken head straps when I went. The food is good but pretty expensive. More expensive than I think it's worth. Service can take forever and they'll sometimes ask if you'd like a refill and then forget to come back with it.

Its a great place to bring your kids and all. But for me personally dont bring your coworkers. Boring ashell. But all in a i bet it would be a great family experience. Food was fire. Got the boneless chicken wing. I love chicken wings. And the burger i was told was fire. Didn't eat it or try caus eit had bacon in it but the presentation was nice

Was here for a work event & food was terrible. Chicken strips tastes like they've been fried in old cooking oil that's been sitting out, flat bread pizza tastes like freezer burn, chicken sandwich also tastes like it's been fried in old cooking oil.

I've been coming here for 14 years and never had issues until one of my recent visit, specifically on October 21 at 11am. My wife and I know most of the bartenders and typically eat and enjoy cocktails at the bar. One of the UFC fights was showing in the morning due to location, therefore we decided to sit and dine. The African American waitress asked how we were paying. She then asked us for a credit card prior to payment due to recent dashers. Although i didn't agree with this policy, i accepted. What mad

It's a fun place for whatever instance. Thus in regards to food it is on the middle price range. In regards to the games, the chips/tokens are more on the expensive side. Don't get me wrong, it is a great place with great atmosphere and food but if you are planning a trip here, bring plenty of cash and you are going to need it!

Always a fun time when we go to Dave and Busters! Food was really good, drinks were great and even got some tequila Jello shots! Games were all working! Only SMALL downside was the TapZone was not open, my husband really likes seeing the options of the craft beer! Otherwise it was a lot of fun!

Wow what an awesome place for family fun. Tons of new games and with a bar and sports games playing. There are no menus you have to scan the code. Also they offer 15% off for military but you must prepay your food order online so make sure you get the waiter before you pay.

This was a small Dave & Buster?s. Definitely more centric around the bar and drinking more adult, which was fine for us. Just not very many games.

Me and my girl had a great first time here, our server JD had excellent customer service and was very helpful he also made the vibe better by making us feel comfortable around here that guy definitely deserves a raise. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Decent food, great spot for family or friends, events and such games. The bathroom area had this stink smell one time. But the last time I went I didnt pick up the same smells.

Pretty good place for adult children. Games very expressive. Low lighting. Food is actually pretty good. Flavorful and good portion sizes. Lots of fried foods, crispy and tasty.

Ok place, nothing extraordinary, big screens to watch sports. Food was ok. Chicken wings are too dry for my taste but taste delicious. Cocktails were fine, didn't have all Cocktails available though. Kevin gave us amazing and friendly service.

I'm here right now and I have no problem with games service etc But, there is no sanitation station available it's very crowded and everybody is touching everything. I know restrictions are lifted up but at least I'd like to see some sanitation bottles are available for people who like to use it around game machines. I wish I didn't not forget my own sanitizer.

Less than average food, good mix of games, packed since schools out. Decent service. Read before playing each game, a few are always out of order and will still take your credits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
