Dave & Buster's Providence

Dave & Buster's Providence

Reviews Summary

The consensus from reviews is generally positive, with many praising the fun atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff, particularly for family outings. However, some note inconsistent service, slow wait times, and occasional food quality issues. The arcade games are a highlight, though some feel the venue is overpriced or lacks variety. Cleanliness and system glitches (like QR ordering) are occasional concerns. High ratings (4-5 stars) dominate, but lower scores cite poor management responses, weak drinks, and logistical frustrations. Overall, it’s a popular spot for entertainment, but experiences vary.

Customer Reviews

Love coming here. The staff is always so friendly and kind. We never wait long for our food. And the food's always phenomenal. I think this place is underrated. It's a gem. ?? And I like to visit the mall whenever I can. Brings back some nostalgia. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I came for my sisters birthday, (06-28-2025) and had a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time! Specifically Angel by the gift shop at the register, and Eric at the bar. They were both very attentive and helpful! Give the both of them a raise!! It was a make or break experience, and they made it. Thank you!

The customer service, atmosphere, and food were all phenomenal at this Dave and Buster's!! I went to watch the Patriots game before going to work and got the Cali Caesar Salad Bowl which was absolutely delicious!! The HD big screen was excellent and a tremendous picture. They had surround sound as well!! I ordered a BBQ Chicken Flatbread to go also to take with me to work for dinner that night and accidentally left it on the table since I was in a rush. I called them to see if they had a policy regarding if

We love going to this place. The games are awesome, and they have many options to choose from. The food is always delicious and their prices are not bad. The service may be a little slow at times, especially when it's busy. This place is also great for watching games. They have TVs everywhere and a very nice bar. I highly recommend it!

I had Jenn as a waitress and I can't express enough how enjoyable the experience was. She was patient, kind, funny, interactive and just a joy to have. She was able to answer all my questions I had and a smile never left her face. Excellent customer service! She is so funny and nice, out of all the servers I've had there she was the absolute best. My sister and I loved her and it made the experience one thousand times better. We'll be coming back to see her and making sure she'll be taking care of us again!

Had a blast here! The food was very good, flat bread pizza was the bomb!! Drinks were mixed very well, and then the gaming... a good variety of games, and it's always fun to win tickets to cash in at the end of the night.. a must do for anyone just wanting to have fun with or without kids.

I must say coming today to Dave's & Buster in providence place mall was an incredible experience from start to finish! The ambiance was simply delightful, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The service provided by our host, Vincent, was exceptional. He greeted us warmly and ensured that we felt right at home throughout our visit. His attention to detail and genuine care for our experience truly set the tone for the evening. Our waitress, Yasmin, was nothing short of amazing. She was attent

Not a bad little arcade. Kids had a great time. I loved how we could play unlimited blue games with our passes. The ticket counter is a great setup. You shop like you're at a store and checkout at the end. This way the attendant isn't locked while children make their selections. Tons of games and not too many broken ones

I am a regular and come here often unfortunately i came today for my birthday and the bartender she gave me half full drink and my partner so i told her if it can be remade you cant serve a half empty drink she was rude said why should she for a 20.00 tip the fact she was rude and didn't even do her job correctly and then she tried to top it off with lots of sour , who does this? I am completely disappointed and disgusted and want to speak to someone higher up

Came here today for my son's birthday, the one thing he wanted to do today, and took the day off of work to bring him. We get here and the ENTIRE arcade is closed from noon to 7PM for a private event. That shouldn't even be allowed. I can see renting a room or two, but the entire arcade? You guys suck...

Our party of 5 (2 kids under 13 included) did not eat inside the venue. The 2 kids had a good time and enjoyed the games. I remember visiting here when I was in high school, in the early 2000's and the entire place seemed much bigger with more interactive games vs video games aimed for the younger generation. Fast forward to 2025, I was glad I went to the venue, but wasn't overly thrilled. I really wish there would be more interactive games for the late teens into early adulthood ages..not just strictly ga

The only thing I will return to this location for is the games. The service was absolutely TERRIBLE. We sat down and she came over about 5 min took our drink order and then disappeared for a half hour. Another waitress came over with water and said someone will be with us. I asked for our waitress after another 10 min. She came over took out food order (still no drinks). After that the drinks finally arrived. Our friend got her fried pickles and my chicken wings were no where to be found. It took another ho

We had so much fun, my kids enjoyed the new games l. Food was good too ??

Had so much fun celebrating my 38th birthday with my boyfriend!! We played so many games!! The place is great!!!

We went here today for gaming only. Did not realize that going on a Wednesday was going to be so busy. Waited about 10 minutes in line to get a card for games. Found out after we could have gotten a card on the gaming floor at a kiosk or online. If you are planning on going, download the dave and busters app and sign up for their rewards to get some free extra play. We had a good time overall despite being super busy. Lots of games, entertainment, dining areas, and fun.

Worse bar i ever sat at. Sitting at the bar on a Saturday night and the place wasn't super busy. Not one single bartender acknowledged us. Had to ask for a manager. Manager took our order for food & drinks. Had to ask for plates & napkins. When the food arrived not a single member of the bar staff approached, acknowledged nothing about the food. Not even do you need anything else like ketchup? Nope.

The staff was very nice, so welcoming. The gaming area was fun and energized while the dining area was still far away enough to be calm and still hear each other. Great for all ages

I liked that this Dave and Buster?s was inside the mall. Did some shopping and could go in. Located above the food court (technically level 4 of the mall, but level 4 is just Dave and Buster?s and the IMAX movie theater). Been to a couple other locations and I liked that this one had a decent separation between dining and games. There was a second bar I missed the games area, wish I knew about that as it would be great if not ordering food. Did not order food here so can't comment. Was a little crowed in th

We came to celebrate an adoption. We were able to order our drinks & food in a normal amount of time. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. It felt like we waited almost an hour before I went to the desk to check on our food. They said they would check with our server if he passed by. Then we waited some more. We did not hear from or see our server for at least 20-30 more minutes. When the food finally came, nobody acknowledged the slowness. There were errors (missing a side dish, missing some fries). The

This place is great and lots of fun. However, it can be quite pricey so plan accordingly. The food here is good and the games are entertaining to say the least.

My daughter and I ate boneless wings on 6/24/25. We both were puking all night. Definitely food poisoning. Don't eat the food!

Great place. I really appreciated the diaper changing table in the bathroom. I do wish however that there were more toddler/little children friendly games or tiny sit down moving cars. Overall though great place.

This was my son & my last stop of our 11 states in 11 days trip, so I'm focused on judging fairly. The food was good, but a little expensive for the portion size. Staff was pleasant, but it took a while to get acknowledged; but great news there were games near our table, so it was easy to keep my son occupied until we could order. I almost want to give it a 3 because of the game quality selection and the prices per game. I took advantage of the best value package which was over $100 and we blew through

Very busy place, there was an hour wait for a table, but the bar had a couple of seats open so we sat there instead. Food came pretty quick. I got the Bacon Burger with fries. My wife got the French dip and fries, It was delicious. The service was really good. The bar guy kept checking on us and refilled my beer my only complaint is the noise from all the kids running around. I'm surprised they don't separate all that out from the bar side.

Updating their menu was the best move! We were not a big fan of their food since covid, now it's amazing. Dumplins 10/10. Creamy chicken pasta 10/10. BBQ flatbread 10/10.

As far as the restaurant portion of Dave & Buster's goes, it was pretty bad. The system is awful. They sit you down and then you look through the menu and order through a QR code. They even ask you for a tip and to pay before you are even seen by a server. There was a problem with the system so it wouldn't let me order 2 drinks, and the drinks for my children came out much later than the meal. My drink actually never came out at all. Kids didn't care for the food (pizza and pretzel dogs.) My steak was prett

The food was way better than I expected. In fact it was great! The menu host something for everyone. Management more than patient and helpful when my son lost his loaded game card. Down sides VR wasn't working properly and the new avocado and shrimp appetizer hosted 3 pieces of shrimp and unattractive chunks of avocado that we fork cut to enjoy with the chips.

I am very disappointed in Dave & Buster?s in Providence, Rhode Island at the Providence Place mall The advertise the WWE pay-per-view on the website in Dave & Buster?s They were kind of refusing to put the paper view on. They said it wasn't a sport. Wrestling is a sport. They should?ve put something on their website if they're not allowed to play at that restaurant or any Dave & Buster?s they need to get that fixed and taken care of trust me the service was perfect and the food was great it just that they

Food was pretty good! Buffalo chicken was awesome ! Wife loved the chicken parm. There isn't really a huge selection of games I'd say 60-70% of the games are like slot machine type games , the corn hole and are throwing games were down I really wanted to try those. They had a VR star wars game that was pretty cool.

Server was very friendly, food came out fast, drink selection was good. Our son loved the arcade games and laid back atmosphere.

Trash experience. I went on 5/2/25 and more than half the games were broken. I paid $50 to play most games that are broken, and the app situation just makes everything more complicated without adding anything to the experience. I will never return to here and do not recommend it to anyone. The workers are also rude and very unhelpful. Before you ask, I have reached out to Dave and Buster?s corporate and never received responses.

While the dish was flavorful, it was served deconstructed and the vegetables were an awkward choice. My daughter enjoyed her pasta and the garlic fries were tasty.

Really frustrating experience at this bar. Dirty tabletops and drinks that are consistently under-poured. I have given this location 3 opportunities on different occasions to get it right and they have fallen short all three occasions. Their mix drinks have virtually no alcohol and the service is B rated at best. It's a Dave and Busters so the arcade is at least fun.

We had a wonderful time! The staff was nice and helpful, the lady at the front desk was amazing, as well as a gentleman who worked hard to get the virtual reality game up and running for us, even after it was turned off. My son was so excited, and we really appreciated the staff going the extra mile for us! Food and drinks were great, and they have an amazing military discount that we were able to take advantage of. Both the adults and the kids had a great time!

The beginning of the experience was a little awkward with a party in front of us. Mainly as they didn't differentiate themselves enough for the host to realize they weren't with us. But that's not exactly the host's fault. The food was tasty, although with so few people in attendance, the 35 minute wait time for 2 burgers seemed a little excessive. When I say few, there were only 2 other families eating and maybe 2 people at the bar around 1230-1pm. But it was still a decent enough time where that was only

As someone that was a server for quite some time I like to consider myself to be open minded. My party of 11 (3 families) showed up a little after our reservation at 5:10. We put our food in right away with the trainee and server. Most of the table order was bottomless wings or off the kids menu. It took a while for drinks but we didn't get half the groups food until 6:30. The second half of the group didn't get their food until after 7. During this time we were practically ghosted; no offer to refill endle

Overall experience was fine. The service was unacceptable. Waited 45 mins for food ,after being told the kitchen isn't busy. Then after our wait, 4 out of 6 plates came out ready. Two of my children's dinners no where to be found. Manager named Josh finally came out to see what's the matter. He then talks to my husband and I like we are 5. Saying he's not going to take the time to explain how the kitchen works to me. How rude! Finally the missing meals come out as the rest of the family is finishing up. Jo

Met with Jamie ahead of a company event we have coming up and he was very helpful answering questions and providing insight into how my team is going to have a great time. Side note, the burger was also delicious.

Maybe I should have called before I came but I didn't think I'd have to. I litterally came here just for the Ancho Caesar Lettuce Wraps, the Parmesean & Bacon Brusselsprouts and a Strawberry Henny Nirvana. The food items aren't even on the menu anymore and no longer available and the drink was sold out. I ended up getting salmon instead and it was good but not what I wanted or what I came for. Steak & tenders were good too. We decided to play games after. It was close to closing time with about 30 mins to s

Definitely a classic, however it hasn't developed much and some of the games are showing their age. The food was awful, but I shouldn't have expected too much so that's on me haha. Being an arcade, it is very loud and flashy, as to be expected, however the game floor itself is too crowded together and doesn't add enough space for navigation. A bit overpriced considering the experience, but definitely an option if you're in the area! It is accessed through the Mall so if you're staying at the Omni you can ge

I had 35 dollars in gift cards needed to use. Drinks are good but looked on the smaller side and maybe the reason my old fashioned was $10. Food was just ok, but I expected it to be from a chain. Good for apps, beer and games. Entrees are mediocre at best.

The fries were good, service was good. The drink had no taste and no alcohol in it but the Manager came over and got me something else which was better.

This place is probably the only cool place at the mall. Games are fun, the food is good. It was a let down when the Jurassic World VR is gone but overall you will never be bored here. Food is good too with any sports to watch.

The food was super good, and I enjoyed watching football on the massive TVs. The Manchego chicken and churros were ??. The churros had caramel and chocolate inside ??.

Best night i?ve ever had!!! Eric at the bar was the most attentive and friendly! give Eric a raise!

Fish and chips were like old oil sponges tasteless not recommended ?? buffalo wings used to be really good no more well that my own personal opinion if you want to find out what is like go there yourself and let me know your opinion

Had a burger was cooked perfectly and the garlic aioli had an excellent garlic taste and was good. I'm not to sure about apple wood smoked bacon though like it says in the menu, seemed like regular bacon and was under cooked which didn't bother me much because I enjoy my bacon chewy. French fries portion that came with the dish was tiny considering it was a $15.00 plate. My son's side of mac and cheese was straight up Kraft Mac and cheese out of the box! Watery and tasteless just like when you make it at h

We had a great time having lunch and playing games! There is a pretty big selection of games. The food was great for an arcade.

While it was alot of fun and we had a very good time there were some hiccups we visited on a Saturday night it was very packed there were ALOT of unsupervised kids running around throwing things and tampering with games my daughter got hit in the head with a basket ball while just walking no where near the basket ball games hard enough to have a small welt when I notified staff the man looked me dead in my face and said what you want some ice what you want me to do about it lady I let this moment roll off m

Jenn was my server and she is amazing !! she made my experience feel very welcomed , loved the service :)))

Went last night for my grandson?s birthday (he chose the place because of the games) we had reservations for 6pm. Got seated right away the table right in front of the bar.. thinking ok this is great?that's when everything went wrong?6:30 no one had even come to the table yet? my daughter went back to the hostess and asked they said that someone would be there?10 minutes later 3 people come by our table to say they'll check who our waitress is? finally a waitress comes over and states that they sent a waitr

Great day with our 4 ur old granddaughter. She loved sitting at the high tables to eat. It was busy at 1 pm when we arrived. The young lady at the desk was super helpful and friendly. She gave us information and directions that made this a smooth process. We placed our order, which was sticky ribs, cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and kids meal. The food was very good and a lot at a responsible price Our little one was just running from game to game. She had a good time and walked away with a few prizes. Yes

Way to many games are constantly broken. The food is overpriced for what you get. $12 dollars for 4 tiny pieces of chicken tenders? I was shocked when they brought it to the table. The pizza tastes like frozen pizza. Not going to be rushing to go back here anytime soon

Food was pretty good, and games are fun. They do not have many choices for ticket redemption and it's EXTREMELY loud inside.

Nice family place watch alot of tvs lol and play some games.

I LOVE the new games that even a Boomer will recognize and play, except they've kicked everything up a dozen or two notches! Also, this D&B is one of the Nicest! Great Staff, Service, and Food! This is an especially great location for getting your friends together- frequently.

This was around the 4 day holiday weekend and I wanted to take my babies to Dave and Buster's right after the movies ???? They had a wonderful great time and the only problem I had was that the restaurant part we had to wait the least 20 to 30 minutes before we got to our actual table but it was worth it at the end because the service was fast and we got our food I'm glad that my babies had a wonderful time and so did I because I felt like a big kid ?? but thank you Dave & Buster's for making us feel welc

I really like it! We went with some friends. We had a great and fun day. We ate first ( although I didn't like the food that much ??) but the appetizers and lemonade were very good. I give 5 starts because our main goal was to go and have fun and that's what we did! My favorite game in the picture ??

We had a good time today here. When traveling with the kids it is a familiar place. It is always a fun time. We ordered food, the wings were warm to cold. That stunk, your better then that D&B. But hey good times with the kids, well be back.

My food was very salty. My son food was good. I had a great time playing. I will come back to play not to eat.

We recently celebrated our grandson's 17th birthday there and we all had a really great time !! The food was great, the games were fun and the atmosphere was non stop ?

The service was not good at all. Our appetizers came. We didn't have plates or napkins. Our server kept walking by not asking how things were. We needed water, and he kept just walking by. The food came out it was cold. He started to walk away when we asked if we could get 2 glasses of water. Sorry to say we will probably not go back.

Went there for a birthday will go back again

Just celebrated my son?s birthday here ! It was the absolute best experience! Our waiter in the party room was amazing I believe her name was Sheila. Sheila went above and beyond to help set up the party room ! The manager kept things simple when going over the bill and making sure we had the best experience !

It's the greatest fun place that I go to with friends and others!! It literally has a lot of arcade games and great food to eat there!! I highly recommend to people who never been there to have fun there, you'll have a blast and the power card prices are not bad!!!

The drinks are AWFUL. It tastes like a juice box. The bartender said 1oz per drink! You can not taste the alcohol at all

Took us over a half hour just to order. Multiple times approached and left by the waiter. Did not receive drink a friend ordered. Not the best experience at D&B.

Great food options. Varied menu with gluten free options available.

Most of the games here work. Place is clean. Service is just beyond horrible. If you are coming here to play games that than 5 stars. But if you want service for food or drinks. Good luck. They don't know the specials and they charge different prices.

I was there for my daughter's birthday and we had fun

I went there last night with my family. The host sat us and no one came over to take our order, we ended up leaving and eating in the food court.

We went on a Wednesday. We thought all games were half priced. But they weren't. Prizes need a better variety.

Had a great time but it's a bit pricey. Staff have to work on cleanliness because there were empty cups left everywhere. I haven't been to D&B in years & front desk was rude when I was asking questions. Overall my family & I had fun.

Every time I go to Dave and Busters I am not disappointed. The games always working and up to date. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been here several times and never disappoints my grandchildren or myself

Attentive waitress and food was reasonable in pricing and speed. One star down since the food had no 'wow' factor in taste or presentation. But perfectly acceptable and filling.

Games are really fun just wish the staff would be more attentive

Great food excellent service and a fun fun game room took my daughter for her 15th birthday she had funnnn!!!!

ok, 5 of us for dinner. 4 meals came, one was all wrong and the other never came. waiter came around when ever he wanted. approached the waiter told.him the issue and he never came back. asked for a manager he was very helpful. don't know why but it sucked

Food was great, atmosphere was great, but our server came by once every 30 minutes.

Went to good Ole D&B's to celebrate a family member's birthday. I haven't been to D&B's for many years, like well before covid-19. I gave the higher star ratings because it was a family thing, and I enjoyed gathering with my family. The games and setup are quite different(remember I haven't been in years). It just felt unorganized and very chaotic in there. Most of the games were not functioning properly. However, those who service the games responded promptly. Literally, every station in there was overcro

Can the picture speak for it self? Friendly atmsphere, very quiet during weekday lunch time. Service is timely and environment clean.

The only thing; it feels Dave & Busters is dying.. they need to revamp some of the games, especially the only that pay the ?tickets?

Great games, just wish every game gave you points, some are "just for fun." The bar was good, but we barely touched our dessert, it was just plain ice cream and the brownie was rock hard.

I gave D&B a chance to make my experience right. I contacted corporate, and now being ignored. Corporate wanted to refund me the money for the amount my family and I paid for a game card, but I declined and here's why. My fianc?, my 7 year old daughter and I went for a fun night out at Dave and Busters in Providence. We sat next to the game room so we could go back and forth from eating and playing games. We all ordered food. Played a few games and came back when the food was ready. We ate a little bit, th

Amazing place to take adolescent children and blow some money on games and candy if you find a game you're good at keep playing until you hit that jackpot you'll get it

Great restaurant with good entertainment for children. Keeps them busy with the games there.

Omg so much fun. So soo much money:(

Always an awesome time at Dave & Buster's. Food and fun with family and friends! Definitely a must if visiting Providence or surrounding areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge.
