Customer Reviews

I've visited several times Since Dave and Busters has opened. Usually it's to watch a football game, UFC fight or boxing. Every seat is great for viewing because they have so many screens available. They have a full bar and a great cocktail selection. Food is tasty. I visited 5/3/25 to watch a Pay per view boxing match. They charged a per person $20 fee to sit in the dining area which had the biggest screens. To me this was a very reasonable price for the event. They were seating people as they arrived. I'm

All the workers are super nice and have amazing customer service!! Our waitress was super sweet and always had a smile on her face! My family really enjoyed eating and playing in the arcade! I forgot to mention that the manager gave us free mozzarella sticks!

First of all, I must say their service is horrible. When you walk in there it takes them at least 10 minutes for them to even say hi to you. And then when you go and move to the bar they move to the other side and don't take your order. Then when they take your order they let your drinks sit on the counter for 20 minutes. If I could give them a -1 in service I would. The games are fun..

Last night 3-26-2025 we went to the modesto location and were very very very disappointed. 1st and last time! The wait time for 2 appetizers was 30 minutes. Cheese sticks which was the best tasting thing we had and pot stickers that had so much oil. It was like eating a flavored oil ball. Wait time for our food was over 45 more minutes. My son ordered a burger with no tomato or onion and it came out plain. My wife ordered chicken parm. The sauce tasted old and the cheese wasn't really melted. I ordered a c

If you love indoor gaming, this is the place for you. Atmosphere is rather noisy, but I guess that's what you get when your the only Dave and Buster's for 50 miles round. Never ate here so I can't rate the food sadly. Games are actually fun, and on Wednesdays everything is half price

Employee Mia (if that's their real name) was very rude working the counter by the prizes yesterday on Father?s Day. I needed a card replaced for the unlimited season pass and he laughed and said ?we can't do that, I'm not going to do that for you? so i asked for someone else and he refused to get someone else. My husband went over after noticing I was visibly upset and asked the same question and after some unnecessary comments from said employee , they then gave the card to my husband but refused to help m

I was very surprised at the wings we received. I've eaten there before, and the burgers were great. I wasn't a fan of the wings that evening. Love all the game options and hours they're open. Reminder to waitress/host, bartender, etc. Please don't put your hands/nails in your mouth. It's gross.

Food WAS BETTER than I thought it was going to be. All in ALL, IT WASN'T BAD! But i wanted billiards, sadly ?? none. I would make reservations!! The Hubs and I took 4 of our teens on a Wednesday afternoon for "Mommas Happy Hour," AND someone's birthday treat... LOL Always ask the staff what their favorites are! HEIDI was awesome! She made great drinks, had awesome suggestions, and gave much effort to correct an oops by another server. Heidi tried her best with all her many tables packed to be quite attent

Had a GREAT experience at Dave & Busters on Saturday the 22nd.Booked a table for 10+ at 5pm and it was ready and waiting for us. We were celebrating our son & daughter-in-laws birthday. The food was really good and our waiter Cliff was awesome ! He handled the craziness of 12 people like a pro ! Cliff got our appetizers & drinks out to us right away and our dinner orders soon after. Cliff was very friendly and catered to our every request...THANK YOU CLIFF for a great evening and we definitely will be back

We did not eat or drink here. Review based on vibe and gaming only. All machines were working properly. Looks new and the 2 boys had a great time. Will be back soon.

The food was quite good. I had the chicken cantina nachos and found that the topping to chip ratio was about spot on. Only had a forkful of topping left after the last chip. That's excellent! My husband had fish and chips and his only complaint was that he expected more food. Our son didn't complain and said his steak bowl was good. The reduced rating was for the brief period when we were waiting for my husband?s coffee. It seemed that it had been forgotten. I know, who orders coffee in the afternoon when i

Updating my review because the recent times I've gone it's been great EXCEPT this time. I ordered tenders and fries. The tenders looked so thin and sad I could not believe that was for $14. I asked waiter, "are these supposed to be this thin?". And she flatly said yes. And not in a nice way. I expected a we will give you a new order but she just stood there stupidly. Then comes some blue haired woman, who I assumed was manager and said there was a complaint about tenders. I said it was ok I wasn't intereste

This place is not my favorite. The whole place is loud, dark, and really overpriced. No one who works there ever really wants to help the customer. But the last time I went, my server Will was amazing! He was kind, helpful, nice, attentive, and respectable. He had a great attitude the entire time we were there. He'd be the reason we even go back!

The manager, Tina, was exceptionally attentive and ensured we had a remarkable dining experience. As always, the food was outstanding, and she made certain that every aspect of our meal was perfect. We will certainly be returning, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Tina.

I went here on a weekday afternoon and the service was slow and terrible. I had to ask for iced tea 3x, and the tea was hot - so I had to ask for ice every time the tea was brought out. The place wasn't even busy, but it was over 45 min for simple wings and a burger. Then we told the waitress that the Sprite didn't taste right, so she brought water - and never brought out a Replacement Sprite but charged me for it . That's the other thing that's super annoying- you only get to see an itemized receipt after

I reserved a table for my daughters Birthday my server Cliff he did an AMAZING job HUGE shout out to him for accommodating us making sure we were okay making sure we had everything we needed being patient with us being so kind to us making my daughters day so special!! I highly recommend him as a server! Dave and busters Modesto has been open for 3 years now out of the years I've been coming Cliff has given me the best service by far he made me want to come and eat with my family again he made me rave about

The food in this place was Amazing hats off to the chef ! I enjoy a good Keto meal and the grilled chicken protein bowl was to die for! Seriously Great place to catch a football game with many huge screens while your kids run wild and spend your money. We had a party of 21 the food was great the service was great. We will be back It is a little loud You expect that when you go Video games and screaming kids We all enjoyed our rainy day inside here at Dave and Busters

This location has just opened not too long ago. The place is great. You will have so much fun. They have many games and some of them are new that I haven't seen before. The bar and restaurant are good too. Their food is delicious and the portions oh? HUGE. We had some non alcoholic drinks and they can make everything for you. The team in there very friendly and kept checking on us. The prices are very good compared to the quality and portions. Amdwat did an awesome job with us today. Thank you

The food was good and the people are great; we played a couple of games with random people. Victoria was really helpful with all the questions me and my gf asked. Victoria was also quick to bring out our drinks. I would recommend a visit here!

Came in with my family around 8:45 and was seated with my toddler, no booster chair offered, and the host said our server would be with us. About 10 min later another worker came by and said our server would be out soon, we left at 9:20. The whole time workers were standing around. Three were at the front just laughing. It was not busy at all in fact I'd say there was more workers than tables, I watched some tables be serviced so I was able to pin point who was a server and who was a host. Completely unacce

Met my daughter here for lunch on Sunday and it was my first time ever eating at Dave & Busters. We sat in the bar area. I really liked the way the tv?s are set up to enjoy any game that's on. As for the food, I was impressed. I had the spicy jalape?o burger with an egg added and it was delicious. The fries were seasoned and crispy to perfection. For appetizers we had pot stickers and cheese sticks. Both were delicious but the cheese sticks stood out to me because they were bigger and more rectangular shape

I was hosting a youth event for my church and decided that Dave & Buster's would be the best option. The event staff (Jaqueline and Christian, I think his name was?) did a wonderful job. The FUNction room was beautiful, and everyone from the babies to the grandmas had so much fun on the games! The wait staff (Patrick and Emily) were attentive to our needs, and the food was delicious. If ever we're in Modesto again, we will definitely be back.

Came here to celebrate my daughter?s birthday. The food was delicious and my kid was never bored with all the different games to choose from. Thanks to the manager Melvin for being so kind and making this a day we'll never forget.

Great place to enjoy a weekend out! I was highly satisfied visiting this location. Food was hot and to my liking, drinks were made well, and service was fast! The kitchen manager even came out and introduced herself to make sure everything was good. 10/10 will be visiting again.

I recently visited Dave and Buster's in Modesto and had an awesome experience, thanks to the amazing manager Melvin there. He was super helpful and kind, making sure everything went smoothly. Their positive attitude and willingness to assist really stood out and made my visit extra special. Highly recommend this place, especially with such fantastic management! Thank you!

Our waiter, Joaquin, was spectacular! Constantly checking on our table, as well as others. His timing was impeccable, he always knew when we needed drinks next and just showed that he cared. His attitude was super respectful and professional, while also being human and chiming in with good jokes and humor. It was quite an enjoyable experience because of this. He even provided his own recommendations for drinks, and turns out that my friends and fianc? loved them! Will definitely be coming back just for his

Server Nadia, was rude. Does not let us finish saying our full orders. She served our food, then asked us if we're ready to pay because she's already going to be off the clock. What if we needed something else while we're eating? No server checked on us once she left and after we paid our bill.

Food is better than the one by SF and the servers are phenominal. Very friendly, attentive but not overbearing. It's smaller than other Dave and Busters I've been to and very loud that it's hard if you're a lounge a d talk kind of person but overall very nice experience

Visited for the first time and the food was horrible. I ordered a well done burger that was pink inside, had to send that back. The Voodoo Pasta was horrible my daughter took one bite and had to send that back. The creole shrimp dip had too much bread crumbs on it even the server was shocked. I would add photos, but they took the plates. I think the only decent thing that came out right was the fish and chips and the salad. I will only be back to have my kids play games, but not to dine.

There needs to be a training on rotation and bussing tables. There is an hour long wait for tables and I'm literally looking at seven that haven't been touched in a half hour. By the time we sit down, the kids cards will be spent. This isn't the flow one should expect. Even once tables are clear, they sit for over ten minutes as the lobby continues to fill up. Bad communication between staff and it's too much money spent for such subpar service.

I love the fact the front server lady allowed us into the big room (even though it was closed) for our own booth due to the fact she saw us struggling with our crying two year old daughter. To top it off she even brought her a plush doll. They went above and beyond to help us enjoy a meal out with the family which is very appreciated. Thank you for being a friendly family fun place for us locally. We drive from Merced and would love if they opened one there.

I recently went here for some fun, after work. I forgot to tab out. Happens to all of us. No worries I'll get the card in the morning when it opens. They charged my card already how much I spent. But when I went they told me they lost my card. The closing manager apparently didn't know where she put it. The higher ups were giving g her excuses ?she has sleep paralysis, she must have put in her pocket? ummm no. She shouldn't be putting anyone?s debt or credit card in her pocket and not answering the phone w

Great place for the whole family. Food was average. I would go back for the fun, not for the food. We spent 350 on games and food. We stayed for 3 hours.

This place is beyond my expectations!! The service was quick and the staff was friendly. Soni the server did such an excellent job, great communicator, and overall such a kind soul. Melvin the manager shows such pride in demonstrating proactive improvement, and encouraging continued engagement. The customer service team went above and beyond! Definitely coming back again here soon!

I had the Carolina Style Bbq bone in wings, side of fries and a Tres Tequila Margarita from their Happy Hour Menu. The wings were ok, the Carolina Style Bbq sauce has a bit of a spicy flavor.

Great mix drinks and cold beer I love their spicy hamburger.

I didn't think the food was going to be as good as it was. I was pleasantly surprised of how good it was! Definitely dining before playing next time I visit again.

The restaurant has been disorganized and ran poorly from opening. Figured years after opening the service and logistics would be better, it remains the same, establishment/management does not have a clue of how to run a restaurant/bar. No plans to go back or recommend to anyone. At least food was decent, but don't have any expectations of decent service.

Go on wensday, not a lot of people and service was fast server Sidney was the best would recommend him 5 ??

The food tasted great but it is pricey! Service was good once our server noticed us! We had fun playing all the games!

Had a good time with my family. Other than that, there is no service after receiving our food. Plus, trying to make me pay gratuity for service I did not receive. The only issue I had.

Service was amazing the Cajun pasta and pretzel dogs were delicious?..kitchen manager was making her rounds and made sure everything came out phenomenal . Not only do they have games they have amazing food and drinks will definitely be coming back

Its gamer food ?? ??. So do t be surprised ?? lol. I go for entertainment, games, games and games. Lol , football game 49ers fu! N of course video games life. FYI, BTW kids serve your food so dont expect them to be in a big ol rush to get your order. Haha!

TERRIBLE place to eat, host and server no professional on what they are doing what so eve- Do Not eat here. Place to play Great for the kids! Just waiting for food to come out hope good things come out of there. Finally is here, Food looks like you are going to feed a dog. Unbelievable please change management.

We went to check out the place, but we decided to eat while the kids played. The food is pretty good. The Korean sticky ribs are very good, and the salads too. The service is good and food is very affordable.

ITS BY THE MACYS !! LOL BUT ITS A LOT OF FUN AND HAD GREAT SERVICE WITH VERY KIND STAFF. I don't know why there's such a low rating. We did go on a Monday and it was late (9:15) we showed up. Overall it was great though - had the chicken avocado club !!! Very very good!!

The service is always good the food is always bomb (sometimes I hype my kids up to go play games just so I can get the potstickers lol) for a family four we spent about $120 and that included game play unlimited (in this economy that is a win!) we will definitely be back!

Good food. Ok adult drinks. Kiddos love all the games. Always clean and smells nice too.

I went on my 21st birthday and the waitress forgot my food. She didn't once remember to check on if I ordered anything that was coming nor try to make the situation better. Customer service at the bar was fine but not at the dining.

Food was good, I had the steak salad and was happy. The steak was a little over but no big thing. My wife had the garlic chicken parmesan and that was very good. Had a blast playing the games and some good Smiles for the evening.

Dave and Bustwrs is so amazing! Super family and fun with friends place! The staff are extremely nice and attentive . The games are huge and amazing!!!

It took more than 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the bar . I ordered chicken nachos and there was barely any chicken and they were burnt. In addition , I finished my first drink and I was not being offered a refill nor was acknowledged again. I came here for the second time and 3rd time and same thing happened . The service here is really bad and there's definitely a lack of communication between management and staff and / or training of employees. McDonalds even has a more rapid service than this place.

Horrible experience on my first time here. Our 2nd bartender Tyler was the only saving grace here at this establishment... happy hour drinks are priced decently. Paid $4.75 for an old fashioned and I belive $6 for an IPA on draft. Our original bartender left without announcing she was going home for the day. I never received my food until I asked what was taking so long after 40min within ordering the stout burger with garlic and truffle fries. Have to say the burger deserved a 2 out of 5 which is surprisin

This was the 2nd time here with the kids and we all had a great time again. Food was good and the games were fun. I'll be sending the kids out to the road medians to beg for money in order to recoup the family's financial losses today, but it's worth it.

Service is hit or miss but the food is good. The drink menu is amazing especially during happy hour. And of course the arcade games are what really brings us in. They also have a bunch of TV's everywhere. And they even show UFC and other PPVs.

Manager Christian was awesome!!! Very friendly and inviting met us by the elevator and welcomed us in and made sure to say if we needed anything to let him know will 100 percent be back because of him.

Went to order lunch for work and my order was messed up. Tina West went above and beyond to make things right. Truly appreciate her for fixing the issue at hand and look forward to going back because of her.

The arcade is the best part of this place. And I'll definitely pass on the food next time, just go for the drinks.

I had a very good time at Dave and busters at VIP event opening . Lots of game options and lively atmosphere. I enjoyed the food I tried too! Service at bar was a little slow when I went to get a drink but I understand it was busy. All the staff seemed very friendly

Only reason doesn't get a 1 is food is decent other than that just trash. Game prices are basically 8-11 points. $22 gets you 100 points. You go through that in 15 minutes. Spend more money. Just a pure rip off.

Good selection of games, though some of them don't work properly, such as this one that said 46 points was worth 100 tickets but only paid out 80. They didn't let my friend bring a water bottle inside, which I wouldn't have minded, but she was pretty upset since she likes having her own bottle for health reasons.

Great food. Fast service. Fun games for the family. The managers, Tina and Elona, are fantastic. We will definitely come back again.

One persons beer didn't arrive until 20 minutes after everyone else?s. Hot wings and fries were cold. Server kept trying to take them to another table. Overall nice looking bar but wouldn't go back. Taking kids to Bowlero or TenPin would be a better experience.

Avoid eating here if it's busy! You'll wait over 1 hour (we personally waited 2.5+) for your food. We went during the game and we expected slower service but not that slow. Manager rectified the situation and the food & drinks were phenomenal when they finally arrived to our table but it left a bad taste in my mouth since 4 different servers and the manager assisted us & we still waited 3.5 for our entire meal.

We went on aTuesday evening around 5, it wasn't busy at all BUT our party of 4 still waited for TWO HOURS for our food to arrive. There was maybe 3 tables filled (see the photo), but apparently only one single server scheduled. It took 30 minutes just to get drinks & the appetizer came with the meal.... The games of course were expensive but we expected it because we've been to other D&Bs before. Next time, we'll go on a Wednesday (1/2 price games) & just eat at the mall food court before we go.

Service is horrible. The food was good. Wait time is awful as well. The server started with an attitude till the end. Had over 15 people as guests. The Server disappeared after our food had arrived. Never saw the server after 40 minutes didn't bother if we wanted refills or anything else. I had to get up and ask the hostess for refills but she was horrible as well. Didn't excuse herself saying I'm sorry for the wait I'll bring them for you. She just looked dumb with no customer service. These workers need t

If I could give this place a negative -100 stars I would? This Dave and Buster's in Modesto was an absolutely bizarre experience, and I can safely say I won't be returning. The security guards there were not just weird, but downright disrespectful and appeared to be acting strangely. My little sister and I were visiting with our parents, and we briefly stepped out into the mall. As we returned, we noticed the security guards were watching us closely. When we tried to re-enter, a male security guard greeted

The nachos I ordered arrived very quickly. The chips were a bit dry and browned.

Took fifteen minutes to get a menu. Took another fifteen to get a drink. Wasn't greeted. Two different servers didn't want a table so I was just pawned off. There was only four people at the bar. Didn't ask me how I was or welcome in. Ordered three different t things and they didn't have it. Tried to pay and the server didn't help me. Had to pay cash cause she wouldn't help me with my card. There was a manger with her I guess. If he was, he was zero help. Drink okay. Service was awful. Food didn't even get

First of all, tho is just my option of how it was my visit to Dave and Busters. The place is like what you would expect from a sports bar that has video games and is open to family and friends to handout. They do move fast and bring the food quick. They make it easy to access their amenities and if not too busy, you can sit by the video games or away from them which it helps if you want to have a conversation with your party. You can buy the game card from the table if you wish, I would not recommend it but

Came from out of town and will recommend to my coworkers great drinks ask for Caleb

My wife and I had a gift card and were traveling through the area. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Our server, Joaquin, was quick, friendly, and attentive. Ryan in the ticket both was also a lot of help and very friendly. We're happy we stopped by and look forward to a future visit.

We go for 1/2 price games on Wednesday. Not too crowded. We had burgers & they're were delicious. Our server Sabrina was amazing. Definitely fun for all ages. I would recommend this if you are looking for game night.

We arrived and placed our order. It took about 1.5 hours to get a kids macaroni and kids cheese pizza. The macaroni tasted like it was made when I ordered it one and a half hours ago. Cold. I also had ordered a steak bowl, but the server let me know that she was "just told" that they were out of steak. After waiting 1 and a half hours.

Horrible service this time, our very elder waiter was more interested in talking to the young servers then helping his tables he was told multiple times.aftwrb35 mins waiting had to go to the bar to put in an order, horrible way to start my kids birthday

Enjoyed my meal immensely. Philly French dip sandwich is like no other sandwich ever. A touch of savory horse radish to top it off. Great chicken sandwich for lunch

One of the managers, jas, was super nice and helpful, she told me about the $10 promotion they had for the games and the service was great.

We enjoyed an awesome lunch with some cold beer. I had the spicy chicken sandwich it was very tasty. We wanted to hang out for a while playing some games. It was a Tuesday, so we were able to play games 1/2 price. I'm 60 yrs old and my son in his 30's. We had a blast for 2 hours playing old school games . We will definitely be back!!

Amazing time! I've been to different D&B location. My first time at this specific location. Great employee staff! ???? Shout out to Bartender Heidi for being an awesome bartender ?? ask about her special ?? it was absolutely delicious. We ordered Chicken pasta (Good quality with balanced chicken and pasta) quesadilla nice size cuts very flavorful. Fried chicken wings nice size and crunchy ??. This D&B seemed a little smaller than other locations I've gone too but it was perfect for us and it wasn't as crowe

Took my my son and a few family members her for my sins 15th birthday. We didn't do the whole birthday package. Just an intimate family dinner with games. Joaquin was our waiter. He provided is with excellent service. Food was good, however they could step it up on the ribs, chicken parmesan. and Brussel sprouts. Bacon smash burger was divine. Over all great time and good food.

First we were told to wait 1hr because there were no available tables but three tables just needed to be busted. After 25 minutes of waiting those tables still weren't cleaned. After an unnecessarily long wait, which resulted in no assistance, we made a 9:30pm reservation. Upon returning for our reservation, they were out of 90% of their menu items! Still wanting to try this place out, and being what appeared to be the only customers in the restaurant area, we still had to wait 15 minutes for a waiter to ta

Stopped in for a quick bite ended up staying a few hours. Great environment, great service, food was great, and drinks were amazing!

Came here for a birthday dinner with friends. Our food order was lost and when it finally did arrive, the food was lackluster. Pretzel appetizer was soggy. Only thing that looked okay was the kids Mac and cheese. We redeemed over $40 worth of credits through T-Mobile and couldn't upload it to the DB app. Went to customer service and they seemed to have an issue with how much we bought with the redemption offer (which said up to 3 of them). Then we got charged an additional $3 for an actual plastic card. On

We entered the dining area & was seating for a while. No one came to offer menu so I had to literally go ask for them. My dish was taking long to come out. My spouse & our children?s food had been served & even after they ate I was still waiting for my dish so I cancelled it & we left. I feel like they need to work on their customer service. So personally I wouldn't recommend

Me and my husband make this place our go to spot on Sundays. We always have the best time. Our server Lawrence is great we try to get him on these days. Always a blast. Let's go Raiders

This place was fun. I took the granddaughters there for some games. It's really a one-stop entertainment shop, as it has a restaurant with a full bar in the middle of the establishment. We just played games for a bit. I recommend it. I do miss the quarter based 1980 arcades, though, lol.

Had to wait a really long time at the bar, we visited on Juneteenth and they weren't staffed appropriately. The bartender was really sweet, just stretched way too thin. Eventually her manager came out for support. I wish there were a bigger variety of games as well. Was disappoint there's no skee ball. We put a ton of $ on a card, so we will be back!

First time at this location. Came in the afternoon not busy at all. Food did seem to take a while for not being busy. Lots of games. Didn't come to play but would like to come back and try out a few.

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers.
