Dave & Buster's McDonough

Dave & Buster's McDonough

Reviews Summary

Dave & Buster's offers a fun arcade experience with a wide game selection, often praised for entertaining kids and families. Food quality is mixed—some enjoy dishes like salmon and pretzels, while others report cold or mediocre meals. Service is inconsistent; many complain of long waits, inattentive staff, and poor management, though some highlight exceptional servers. Cleanliness and restroom upkeep occasionally fall short. Teen crowds and fights are noted concerns, especially on weekends. Overall, it’s better for games than dining, with service and food being hit-or-miss.

We were mostly ignored and it took over an hour to get this food. I liked it but it could have been better for $50 Games were fun. They have tables in good locations to set items on while playing. All the machines we tried worked

This was my first time at this location and I was pleasantly surprised. Upon walking through the door, we were greeted by an employee. He explained how getting a game card worked and if we wanted to go to the restaurant how that worked. This location was very clean. I loved the game selections and how many they had. On top of that every game worked. We had a ball. We finally went to the restaurant. I wanted nachos but they were out of them. So that was a bummer. I then settled for the creamy chicken pasta.

Took my son here for Spring Break and he absolutely loved it! This place has something for the entire family! The staff were attentive and knowledgeable! I highly recommend giving this establishment a visit!!! You won't be disappointed! ??

We had our grandson?s birthday party here and everything was perfect. Professional, organized and atmosphere was top notch. Expensive but worth every penny

Took pre-teens for Bday ?? fun. Scored Bonus Points. Rashad in wait staff was great & patient with the young guests trying to decide.?? Note: I'd appreciate full disclosure if extra sauce or others adds are billed separately. TY

Came here just to let the kids enjoy the games, but it actually turned out to be something else. Never knew they had a full sports bar and restaurant. Albeit it's a gaming place for kids and families, the adults can enjoy all these televised games, food and drinks, while the kids play. It seems to be the best way to do a family day. You have to buy cards to use the games, and they can be pricey, but family times are worth the money. And you won't go wrong here. While the boys were away, we went to th

I booked a party at the Mcdonough location for my son's 11th birthday party. I arrived at Dave and busters at 12:45pm. I searched for a manager or host for 16 minutes before someone came to the host stand. My guest were arriving at this time wondering where to go and where to sit. We finally were able to get a waitress who was not my waitress to hunt down the manager Jeremy. Jeremy came to the table discussing the contract and introduced us to our waitress Justice. I asked Justice if we could have the plate

First time at Dave & Buster's. I was blown away when I first walked through the door. It definitely surpassed my expectations! There's so much to do and the atmosphere was nice. The food was pretty good but a little pricey. My kids enjoyed the games. My only draw back was the waitress. She was unpleasant from the beginning to the end. She never checked on us, and when we flagged her down we were met with a frown. I will return, how ever I will make sure we do not get the same waitress again!

Went for my grandsons birthday he's a pre-teen. He, his siblings and friends all had a great time. The adults were able to have just as much fun as the kids did.

Went to play some games and have a drink. The manager accommodated me by transferring my points from the app onto a physical card. HOWEVER; this is a family friendly environment but also a combined sports bar. So when the person I was with cracked a harmless joke to the manager, they refused to serve him by assuming his humor was intoxication. Otherwise, fun time and great place to watch sports. Get the pretzels as an app!

Although the staff is friendly and they continue to apologize for being short staffed and overcrowded, service still moves slow, and orders still get mixed up. The customer service is good, and the food is great, and the games are what they are. In the end, my only complaint was the time spent was waaaaayyyy too long during late hour visits. My return visit during early evening Happy hour was another story! My server Rashad was the best server I've experienced in a long time. He suggested items on the menu

My employer rented the location, closed the the public? it was for our families and it was amazing! We had 800 people RSVPing, but it didn't even feel busy! There was a buffet for the kids and one for the adults. The screens were set to our company and all the important games of the day. The staff was courteous and invisible. Looking to host a corporate event, I would recommend it.

The grandsons love to come here for their birthday, and they are very accommodating for large groups. The food is decent for sports bar food and the calorie count is on the menu (ouch!) Be aware, you have to be 18 to go to the restroom alone, and if you're not, you must be accompanied by someone 25 or older. Bad news for a single mom or dad with kids of the opposite sex. There is one family bathroom as an option, but just one.

This was an absolutely delightful first experience. I am not an expert on this exact chain of entertainment. All I can do is offer my personal opinion on my visit. Go!! You have to go! This place is absolutely the best. Once arriving, it was so simple to prepare oneself with the accommodations to enjoy your adventure for the evening, that a caveman could do it! The bartender was a pleasure. He made every drink I request, including one not even on the menu to perfection! He allowed us to keep an open

Date night with my husband ?? We ended up winning over 5,500 tickets. It wasn't busy when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Food did take over 30 min to come out, and it was just the 2 of us. However when the food did arrive, we enjoyed it. The games are a lot of fun. We enjoy channeling into our inner kid and forgetting about any adult stresses we may be having.

My family had the newest worker as a waiter, his name was Myles. He was absolutely, 10/10 amazing! He was very kind and gave us great service! I would come here again!

I have not been to Dave & Buster's since leaving Florida over 10 years ago. So this place brought back a lot of nostalgia with the atmosphere and family time/experience still being the same. We need more locations like these in more major cities. Family friendly spots that you can really get some decent amount of R&R without having to travel far, spend a lot, or sacrifice a whole entire day just to get there or to really get some type of enjoyment out of it. Me and my brothers enjoyed the games especially

We had an amazing time! There were lots of games for the kiddos to stay busy. The manager, bar staff & servers checked on us regularly, were friendly & very accommodating. They also cleaned equipment throughout the day, which made us feel much safer. A+ all around!

Today was an unpleasant experience with the bar/kitchen/bar management. The kitchen failed us on two attempts and the manager refused to even acknowledge the issue. After patiently waiting an unacceptable amount of time for our food to arrive, one dish was great the others was cold. The server asked her manager Shawnta to remove the wings and expressed that the kitchen was ?messing up all night?. The manager Shawnta refused to speak with us told the server she would not remove the wings. She didn't even sp

Was a good experience but it was crowded with little kids all over the food was ok nothing special

DO NOT EAT HERE * This place is all about games and fun, not so much about eating. When we came for a meal, it was a mess. We got seated but waited 20 minutes before someone took our order just for drinks, and then the food took forever to arrive. We had to go to the host to ask someone to get us a server. The pretzel sticks were the highlight, though?the sauces were amazing! But then things went downhill. The salmon was covered in huge chunks of raw onions, which is not really appetizing. My Hawaiian chic

Very poor service. I was seated in the restaurant area at 3:02pm and told both my daughters to go play and I'll order for them. I sat and not one waitress/ waiter even asked if I needed a cup of water after sitting for over 20mins. There was only one party going on at that time and they were already cleaning up to leave. It was not busy at all. Then when I went to address the issue I was told that the waitress/waiter probably just forgot. After sitting and watching all these workers walk right pass me to as

We went to D&B to celebrate my nephew's birthday! We had a great experience! We didn't have any wait time from getting our play cards to getting seated for food! We were very lucky! The food was delicious! I love the fact that we scanned our menu and placed our orders from our phone! I think they should keep that! Our waiter LaTrez was awesome and attentive and our food and drinks came out quickly! I say all that to say, we had a great time and we will be back again!

I would like to see more healthy options on the menu. There was no wraps, bowls, or vegan options. The entire time I was at the bar, not many people came to eat, they purchased drinks and left. Service was good, my bartender was on point with her drinks. I would recommend to eat elsewhere and drink here if you must.

The food was pretty good the atmosphere was definitely great definitely recommend coming early while it's quieter the games were great but the game Family Guy Bowling needs to be fixed I did my card and it didn't do anything but it said it accepted so I did it again and it still didn't work so that definitely needs maintenance or something but overall great experience. PS KEEP GUITAR HERO

Don't pay for nothing at the kiosk. They take your money then act like it's nothing they can do once you spend your money. Terrible customer service. I spent over $100 per kid and didn't get too play 1 game. I had to pay more money because of false advertisement. They might as well fire the employees because they tell you go to the kiosk to do everything and then when you have a problem it's nothing they can do to help.. Shoutout to Izzy though. He apologized and showed sympathy even though it was nothing h

I went on a Saturday. The food was mediocre. The drinks were watered down. The wait was super long (expected for a weekend) but the service was amazing. The thing that got me was the disgusting bathrooms. I even went out of my way to inform a manager (a woman named Stanley) about it but she did absolutely nothing to address the problem. Come expecting the minimum. This whole place was a money grab. The way those bathrooms looked proved that they are underpayment the staff. How packed this place was, they h

We had a great time at a friend's son birthday. He had so much fun and we had so much fun eating. We ordered the sampler trays, and everything was delicious. I ordered a burger because the waiter suggested it. He was spot on about it, and my daughter took all of my bacon. It was delicious!

My family was sat down at a tabletop in the dining room by the hostess only to never be served by a server. I know they saw me sitting there with my menu raised high and still served others who sat down after me. I gave it 20 minutes and left. Had I not bought tickets to play games on the app, I would?ve left. The dining area was not packed and the other servers were busy on their phones.

Went to enjoy this establishments' gracious complimentary veterans meal. For some reason, this location had all the vets standing in a line for over 30m and wouldn't let us be seated. Of course, the only hot meal I could order was the soy bean burger on the menu since I don't eat meat, fried foods, nor dairy, as with 90% of the veterans' meals offered on that day, but I adore the comradery. Why is this an 'upcharge'???? I guess this company thrives on unhealthy eating and penalizes those that can't or don

There is a kiosk system for you to get your card or reload your card if you already have one. Restrooms were clean. Yes they have a family restroom. But it didn't have a diaper changing station (maybe it was in the women's restroom). Bar area looked nice but we didn't get anything. The gaming area is large. We spent around $150 for 3 kids. No food, no drinks. The dipping dots machine was out of order. There is also some VR games here. (Seperate price though. We spent an hour here. It's right next to BJs who

One of the best and cleanest D&B's in Georgia. It's never over crowded. I haven't tried their food, but I'm sure it's ok.

Came for a team buillding event with my job and had a great time!!! Will definitely be coming back

This place is a complete joke. I have never been to this particular location, but frequented locations in California. I made a reservation for 2. Upon entering the facility there was a long time. Even though I had a reservation, I had to wait in line for 25 minutes. After waiting in line for 25 minutes we had to wait again for them to find a table. The hostess was rude, and very unpleasant. The food was mediocre at best. Paid $1.99 for a tiny piece of what appeared to be frozen garlic bread from Walmart. Th

Upon arrival, 2 employees held the doors open for incoming and outgoing guests (classy). The front desk employees were very polite and efficient. About 95% of the games were in great working order. I saw a slew of new games I've never seen,(a mega plus)! The only issue was that it was a long wait for a table to eat at, BUT, it's half price day and a holiday, so sweep that under the rug. But I was impressed with the system of downloading the Yelp app and holding your place in line via a welcome text. The wai

The food was good. Chicken was kinda dry. The appetizer was great. Service was very slow. 45min to be served, so if you want something fast, this isn't the place. Games were clean and all worked. Overall, it was a great place for little family fun time. I did find it very strange that children were still in there with no supervision after 11 pm. Children do not belong around adults drinking in a bar, in my opinion.

I was very disappointed in my tenders and fries meal. the fries were fine, but the tenders were small and over fried, definitely not worth the price . My boyfriend got the wings and fries, and they were nice size wings . The mozzarella sticks were good and very chewy. Someone had the smash burger it looked really good . We were there for our grandsons birthday. The kids had a ball . Our waitress was great . We had 15 people, and she did a great job taking care of us all . There were lots of games for the ki

They refused to accommodate my handicapped son for seating to eat. They made us sit at a high top table which is impossible for him to get on and off of. The server was amazing, but the hostess (Tammy) had a real problem, even laughed at the thought of accommodation of my handicapped son.

We had a great time celebrating my niece's birthday at Dave & Busters. The games were fun for older teens and even the prizes were nice!!

The waitress Christy was truly outstanding with her service. This will definitely make me and my partner come back with very soon. The food was good we both had pasta so it was awesome.

I am CURRENTLY having a horrible experience here! Made a reservation for my son?s birthday at 1:15 and after we drove 2 hours and was almost here when we got a call saying ?oh has anyone called you? We have an event that is going on and we will be closed until 3. ? With that being said since we were so far from home we had to waste time so instead of eating here we spent that money somewhere else. Once we were finally able to get in the door. My son and his friends are having a good time playing games. My w

We had a fabulous time here. Our waitress, Kirsten, was phenomenal. Some of the games took our money and didn't perform. We still enjoyed those that functioned properly. Food was delicious and the arcade and restaurant were very clean. Bathroom also clean. Keep up the good work.

8 of us... all ordering shots and food and apps.. and where was our waitress? Idk... but she lost a ton of money. The food was lousy and 145 bucks for 2 salads and 4 drinks? Nah..

Arrived at 11:35 PM, and we were told that the wait time was 20 - 30 minutes. It is 12:30 AM, and we are still waiting to be seated. No assistance was available for 20 minutes, as even after four of us standing at the front of the seating area, there were no available staff for that time. When we were finally attended to, we were denied a table and put on an indeterminate hold, despite multiple table areas being open ? apparently, there weren't enough servers, which was not made clear on arrival. The lack

The staff here was super helpful when I needed assistance with power cards for birthday party guests and a problem I had with the app. They went above and beyond. The teenagers had a great time playing games. We went on half-price game Wednesday, so their chips lasted forever. We didn't eat here, so I can't review that part, but the entertainment was perfect for teen girls.

I wouldn't recommend going here on the weekends with children. It seems like there are too many teenagers there to start trouble. Last weekend a big fight broke out amongst the kids where every responsible parent grabbed their kids and left the place. Food and drinks are pretty good overall but the service is on the slower side and the customer service is a hit or miss.

Rico was amazing. The lackluster and dryness of the host , bartender , and manager is insane. All the money that was put into remodeling is pointless if you don't train staff. Middle of the day with customers at the bar. The bartender has her butt sitting where glasses are. That's disgusting as well as servers fixing hair on the floor. Training needs to be done here or go find other places of employment.

My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at the Dave and Busters in McDonugh Ga last weekend. It was my youngest daughter birthday. We had dinner, drinks and played games, we had an awesome time. Will recommend this location to others we know. Food & Drinks was great. You want be disappointed/You can thank me later ??????

Maybe it's the norm now, not being greeted when you walk in an establishment. We proceeded to the kiosk and made our purchase. This location is smaller than other locations. I had a concern about my card and it took a minute to find an employee on the floor but the one I did find was a pleasant older guy and that's was the one good interaction from an employee. Toward the end of our adventure we opted to get food and it was something I would never do again. We came in on a Monday and there weren't that many

Don't come if you're hungry. It's almost impossible to get the 3 hosts to acknowledge and seat you. When you do get a seat good luck being waited on. If you're just here for games it's great. This isn't a one time experience, it's every time we go. We started bringing a flask and snacks so we don't need service

Food was good. But horrible service. Took a while to be greeted by a bartender but when we finally were greeted, she was reluctant to even clear off the trash laying in front of us, had to ask for a menu and took 10 minutes to come back and ask for a drink order. Before we were even greeted, she walked by us twice not even acknowledging us or even 5 seconds to say, ?I'll be right with yall.? Customer service was non existent. We ordered food and my boyfriend asked for a honey mustard when he orders his burg

Really like the food here. I think my server was new. She didn't mention any deals and it took forever to realize we were seated and waiting to order for the 35 min we sat there. No worries she was really sweet. I got the watermelon strawberry margarita and the Hawaiian bun chicken sandwich but removed the Saracha sauce. Omg so good! Slaw on a chicken sandwich is genius. My kids loved the arcade games. I had to drag my oldest out kicking and screaming because I spent ENOUGH $ reloading his play card. We wil

We didn't eat at the restaurant. The experience playing games was nice. Some games need to be replaced. There are several games with balls coming back very slow, and your time runs out. There are also some games that glitch, making it difficult to play.

The food is very good, the drinks are very bad, I have been there 4 times to take my children, but unfortunately the drinks and cocktails are too bad, they never bring me what I ask for with good flavor, I always have to change it.Because it is very bad, and it is a shame because it is a place that lends itself to spending a good time with family and friends. Last time we stopped to eat and drink at a restaurant and then just went back to play with the kids.... They should spend a little more and bring in r

Great atmosphere. However service is unacceptable. Was seated by the host. Waited 20 mins, still no waitress. I approached the sever only to be told that whoever seated us here was not supposed to because the booths were closed. I am hungry. My kids are hungry. This ruined the experience of Dave and Busters. This is definitely my First and last time Visiting this establishment.

why on nfl sunday with the falcons playing are the falcons not on the prime lower tvs at the bar. we're in ga and we have the cowboys on the prime tvs? Update: seem like there was a misunderstanding that day and they are now making Atlanta area teams a priority. The bartenders are Awesome!!

Is it me, or did the patties on the all-American burger shrink in size??? This pattie came out so thin all I tasted was bread and toppings. Smh. This is more in line with a Wendy's burger than one you'd expect from Dave & Buster's. Not to mention, some of my fries came out half cooked. This was definitely not a good experience. The food here is normally good.

Great place to go have some fun, and grab a bite to eat at the same time. The service in the dining room was a bit slow, but the food was pretty good. The arcade is always fun to play at and they have a large selection of prizes to use your tickets on.

Our server was Ashley. I cannot describe a more awful experience with a waitress than her. After we were seated by the hostess 15 minutes went by before I had to wave another waitress down to inform her we have not been greeted by anyone yet. She goes to get our waitress took about another 5 minutes. She takes our order then takes her another 5 minutes to bring our drinks. So to be seated for over 25 minutes and not have our drinks at least was terrible service. Then while we are waiting for our pizza we ar

Visited D&B's on a company event. It was a Friday afternoon at lunch time. It was empty for the most part as expected. The place was very clean at first glance. The staff that served us in the private room was so nice! They have a variety of games and a bar if you want drinks. I will visit again and order off the menu. The food we had was buffet style. I wasn't fond of any of the meat options which were chicken with cheese and bacon topping, salmon, and beef. Overall I would visit again

Brought my family here to celebrate my daughter?s 12th Birthday. We did reserve a table, when we arrived it wasn't crowded at all so we really didn't need the reservation on a Tuesday. We were seated and our server was Kyman. When I tell y?all he was Absolutely Amazing ????. Very attentive, very welcoming, very helpful, very entertaining, just an all around wonderful Person. His Energy was Wonderful and he checked on us all night making sure we didn't need anything. If you are planning an event here please

Our family had fun at Dave & Busters yesterday! They are remodeling the place. I like the new look. They are bringing out better prizes too. The only thing that was not the best were the restrooms. They needed to be a little cleaner. Maybe they didn't have enough staff. Our food was awesome! The staff was kind. Overall, everything else was great!

We had a such a good time at the VIP PARTY prior to GRAND OPENING! The layout of the facility is amazing with the game area being very open and exciting. There are areas for private parties and comfy bar seating if you just want to watch a televised game. All of the staff were friendly and super excited for the evening. The food was great with a good selection of tasty and healthy choices! And, Dave & Buster's were kind enough to gift us with a souvenir tumbler and coupons to come back. Thank you Dave & Bus

The bartender was having a bad day and it showed. We didn't get our fries with our meal. I had to ask her about them. She charged us for items that should have already come with the meal (per the menu description). We had to ask for things such as soda refills repeatedly even though the cups were empty. And she treated us like we were bothering her. The bar was not full so I expected better service. But that didn't happen today. I'm very disappointed with the service.

Played a few games but spent most of my visit in the "Restaurant" side of Dave & Buster's. Tried the pretzel dogs which were a 10/10 and the triple bacon burger which was 8/10. Overall everything was nice. 4/5 for overall experience due to slow service but also it was a prime Friday night. Would recommend for family outings our adult outings.

Lots of games and attractions for most age groups. Although somewhat crowded, there was no long lines. The food good but small portions. The blue is self seated for the restaurant. The red side you wait to be seated. The service was good on the blue side

I hardly ever give an establishment 1-star. Dave & Busters earn the 1-star based on their food and beverage service. Games side is ok. Food is not bad but if you serve it COLD it turn good food bad. You need to serve beer within five minutes not 20 minutes. If it takes 20 minutes please consider bringing water first. People generally enjoy beer before and with the meal not after it. Our waitress did the best she could. It is clearly Management's fault when the kitchen brings cold food to serve and bar staf

The dining experience and gameplay was awesome. That being said, we noticed a high presence of police enforcement. It was obvious that there was a high teen presence, and unfortunately, later in the evening, around 9:30 or 10 a fight broke out...

I had my daughter?s baby shower in the cheer room. Bree was our server and Teri was the mod. They were sooooooo Awesome! I had for food ( bacon chicken panini and philly panini, garlic Parmesan fries and salad? All Perfecto!!! I love Dave & Busters and would have any event there. ( it was my 1st experience at this particular location) Clean, bathroom was sooo clean as well. Service was impeccable! Daniel (Gm) was awesome too!

We actually planned a party here. The only thing that was off putting was that the food comes out within 15 minutes of Arrival and sits for 2 hours. It would be better if the food came out after an 45 minutes.

Dean(manager) - NO!????????????The person I was with expressed her need to change seating because she was fat & needed more room & Dean did not want to change our seat because he didn't want his employees on another section. He walked away came back & said since you're fat & don't like the seating you can move to another table. I looked ?? & waited for him to get the menus & Silver wear??he told me I can pick them up & take them to the bigger table?? I Did Not! Afterward, Lelo took care of us. Dean walked

There's a new Dave & Buster's in town, and it's probably one of the best ones yet. Located in Mcdonough, a short 15 minute drive is all I need for some good, old fashioned arcade fun. Navigating through the initial parking lot is a bit of a maze, but you definitely can't miss the building with the big, bright sign. Plenty of parking, always a plus for me. Well lit at night and easy ways to get out once you're there. Customer service was great, there was staff at almost every corner and desk that needed the

We went there to celebrate our daughter's birthday. No on came to clean our table until 30 minutes. Kids were hungry. Four waitress said they be right back to take orders but no one did until we had to complaint to the manager that we have been waiting for some to take our order for 1hr. and 20 minutes she apologized said it's little busy but someone would take it. She had someone came and finally orders of nine people was placed. Food was good but wish they have more responsible waitresses to take c

Went there with family to celebrate a birthday. Enjoyed the games, food and drinks. I ordered the voodoo pasta and the Henny's strawberry Nirvana. Both were delicious! Next time I'll ask for no siracha on the pasta or just have it on the side. And I finished it all off with the big daddy chocolate cake! Yum!

I can't say enough about the service here. Ms. Kim was amazing!!! She made the day exceptional. Her warmth and patience with an autistic individual was unprecedented. The establishment was clean. The food was delicious. It was a great birthday celebration!

The Bartender Rebecca was extremely rude and had no customer service skills what so ever, while ordering when I was ordering for me and my child a simple drink . Seems like the qualifications here are minimal. Miss Chante addressed the issue with me and was very professional. Hire more people like her .

It's been a minute since the last time I've been here. The food menu was much different and had wayyyy better options when I visited back then. I was a little disappointed. I ended up getting some boneless garlic parmesan wings with fries just to start off. I had the chicken parmesan for my entree. It was pretty good. My friend had the traditional buffalo wings, fries, with a henny and coke. I ended up trying the strawberry watermelon margarita.....it was good and strong ?? The game selections were ok, and

A lot of games were broken or down. Lots of kids running wide open and almost ran into multiple people. No staff intervened.

It's cool for playing games but not for cocktails. 13-32 dollars for water down drinks. No thank you. Food just ok

All the employees seemed very friendly and professional. I think our waitress may have been new because she didn't know how to add our points from dinner to our play card. It's a fun place to go with friends but I wish there weren't so many kids running around. It's starting to feel like a super expensive Chuck E Cheese. 15 years ago when I first went there were no kids at all. It was so much nicer. The fried cauliflower appetizer was delicious. I got the salmon with cajun butter. It was really good

I had a birthday and it was the worst service given I had a party of 13 and once we were done with the games for the children . We finally sat down 30 minutes later . Ordered food from the app (in which you are required to do) all of the food came out cold . Spoke to the manager and he offered to bring out only the pasta warmed . They bring out the pasta cold (warmed in the microwave) because the plate was warm but pasta was still cold. 3rd time I'm not sure . Drinks never came out untill halfway finished w

If I could give this food 0 stars I really would and I'm a person that's hard to disappoint I am far from a picky eater but for these prices the food should be half way decent ITS NOT?hard dry wings that are not FRESH wings they are frozen/pre-made wing as you can see in the picture from all of the skin and bread around the meat..I bring my kids here all the time and the games are awesome the customer service is A+ but this food is horrible eat before you come don't waste your money or your time?maybe somet

I came to Dave & Busters on January 18, 2025. The one in McDonough Georgia. The only reason I come here is to watch the UFC pay per view events. Today, the UFC 311 came on but when I arrived, this place didn't even have it playing, until I had to asked someone who works there are they going to show the ufc event. They only played the ufc prelims. The prelims is fights before the actual ufc 311 event come on. After the prelims went off, the pay per view event didn't even come on, I'm like what, this place al

This is the best Dave & Buster?s I have been to in the Atlanta area. Recently opened and very clean (saw the manager at this location mopping, which is rare of people of tier level so I give major props!) the bartender was very attentive as much as he could be; as he was the only one running service. They have a great selection of games as well and they are doing their very best of social distancing during this time.

Great experience only reason I say three stars for service is because we got there fairly late and it was our first time there so I was not familiar with the rules I read over the package I purchased the unlimited food and play for $59.99 and we just started playing not knowing you had to play certain games for unlimited so after 6 games it said our card didn't work so we left to eat and I asked the waiter how it worked and then I understood and had smooth sailing my 6 kids had a blast??

The atmosphere is energetic, fun and entertaining. There are activities for both adults and children. The food is fantastic, and eating area clean. However, customers service in reference to providing information to customers on all service offered was poor. I paid over one hundred dollars for game chip card, only to be informed after we sat to eat, there is a dinner-game package that would be budget friendly. I was disappointed. Despite the poor information, my family and I enjoyed ourselves. We will be re

I had to get up and have someone find me a server after waiting a while before someone came. He came , seemed to not be in a good mood, face looked bothered he took our order and checked in if all was well when we got our food. Other than that the food was good and we enjoyed the games.

Dave & Buster's is fun, always a good time. This was my first time at this location and it was nice. 2 of the games went down that we were playing and was quickly serviced when I notified the gaming rep. We were compensated for our tokens lost plus some extra for the inconvenience. We did eat lunch, we both had the American Burgers which is always good! It's about the only thing I get when we go. I wish my server was more present, I got 2 sets of dirty silverware back to back. The guys cleaning the room af

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers.
