I had the best waitress. Very attentive to our needs. Kept coming around to see if we needed anything. Our drinks were kept full. She explained the menu in great detail. I recommend you ask to get seated in her section. Her name is Angelina?.service with a beautiful smile. Food was outstanding.
Today we celebrated a birthday for my son. The experience and service were amazing. The kids were able to be themselves, enjoy great food, and play games. Our server Angelina was very patient and sweet with us. The manager on staff was amazing as well. He constantly checked on us and ensured we had a wonderful experience. I will be back for future gatherings.
?????????? We had an awesome experience at Dave & Buster?s thanks to our server, Eric. He was amazing ? super attentive, respectful, and made sure we always had drinks and anything else we needed. His great attitude and professionalism really made our visit special. There was a small mix-up with the tap, but Eric handled it with so much grace. We were so impressed with how he managed everything, and we just want him to know how appreciated he is. We're definitely coming back and will be asking for Eric a
Went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't packed out. Didn't wait for any games. Played about 10-12 games for the $20 that I got with the eat - play combo. I would like to go again
The new renovation was absolutely fantastic. The new rentable game stations for groups are a must-get for a get together of multiple friends or a family. The arcade games are also high-tech and great. Drinks are good too, and food is very enjoyable.
Place was remodeled and updated,, atmosphere was amazing and inviting, crew member by the name of josh was extremely helpful in answering our questions and knowledgeable about games. There is new games very amazing a must play.
My boys enjoyed the games which I think are pricey. The food is decent and pricea reasonable. What I didn't like was the noise on the eating area. It is too loud, not good to have a conversation.
Dave & Buster's in McAllen is the ultimate fun spot for all ages. The arcade games are diverse and exciting, and the food, especially the burgers and wings, is surprisingly good for a gaming venue. The atmosphere is lively with a great mix of entertainment options. Service can be hit or miss due to the crowd, but the overall experience is worth it. Perfect for family outings or a night out with friends.
I truly enjoy the food from this place, is actually what makes me give it two stars, the games with the ambience and the food. When it comes to customer service, it's always bad! I've gone a lot of times and every time the service provided by different waitresses is awful, I stop have the decency of tipping but not anymore, good service or nothing, games aren't cheap and neither is the food. It seems like they recently made some renovations to the place, it looks nicer, and as I mentioned before, I love the
Today we were celebrating my son?s birthday and one of the very kind employees recommended a special ?no limit to play? card that also gave you a discount on food and drinks. We accepted that package but when we wanted to continue ordering more drinks or food they told us that we had to buy another ?package for $59.99? at no time did they explain to us that you could only order everything at the same time!!! and I think that is not right? the card that came in the ?no limits package? said that you would get
The bartender (male) who is usually always there on Wednesday?s when we go is amazing he's always super attentive and friendly! The game room attentive (female) is also super amazing always helps us with anything that happens in game room! we love coming to d&b its our go to !
My first time at Dave and Busters and it was a blast! The food was good and the games were so much fun! I even got the highest score on the axe throwing game. I suggest downloading the app before heading to Dave and Buster's so you can see what deals they may have going on with their games or food.
Great atmosphere. Clean and welcoming. Perfect for spur of the moment trips with the kids.
We arrived at opening time on a Friday morning; we made a trip down from San Antonio specifically to visit this location because it's a big thing we like to do while traveling. We met the General Manager, Pedro, when we arrived and he was SO NICE, and his staff were all kind, quick and attentive. This location felt like it was slightly below average in size, but that's with comparing to a lot of the older, much larger stores. It felt like a relatively newer store as well, but it has been remodeled so they
The food at Dave & Buster's was not great, but that's not why most people visit. The atmosphere was fantastic, and overall it was a great experience. Perfect for anyone looking for entertainment and games in a lively setting rather than a culinary adventure.
Food was good. Game area and management needs some work. My little cousin hit the jackpot on a game and won 14,442 tickets. After she went to cash in and pick out all her prizes, the manager said the game had a glitch and took away 12,000 of her tickets. Then proceeded to smirk when I told him that it's not her problem, it's theirs. Very poor customer service. The machine malfunctioned not her, she should have gotten her tickets. Store #109
Good service, food is always solid, great drink specials too! Try the spicy green beans!
The place is great. I didn't have any food, so I won't comment on it. No complaints besides the fact that the Kung Fu Panda game was messed up. I would hit one pad and it would hit the pad below it as well costing me the Jackpot. The same thing applies to the pads not working at all. Would come again.
A clean location undergoing remodeling. My wife and I had a blast playing games till it got too noisy. Then we had a drink at the bar. Friendly staff. Fun games.
Terrible terrible terrible. The waitress brought our menus and didn't come back for at least 20 minutes. Now it was 3pm so there was hardly anyone. So not an excuse. We had to flag another waitress down. They got our drink order from the bar wrong. Not once but 3 times!!! The food took 38 minutes to arrive. Sliders were cold n I got a house salad, which I did NOT order. My food was ok. Nothing out of this world. When our waitress finally did arrive, we asked for our check and she didn't even offer a receip
Next level sports screen. Tones of great games. ?? you can use points for meal items too. Very cool place .
Awesome server. Treated us like family. Made sure that we had everything we needed from drinks to napkins to extra plates! Game selections are excellent and Awesome! Definitely recommend and will go back.
Love going to this establishment. The vibe is fun and my kids love it. Food is ok. In my opinion, the Salmon plate is the best however portions are getting smaller. My favorite drink is the watermelon margarita it's super delicious. I can't shut up about it! Games are a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. For me, the experience is 8/10.
Great place , good games, but would like to see like other restaurants a piece of bread , oh and yeah took my son to eat and celebrate his birthday today and no little complimintary ice cream or cake was given. At least the birthday song.
Great atmosphere! Awesome wait staff! The food was good. It has alot of games to choose from. Everything was clean. Girls restroom has plenty of stalls just needed some upkeep, but it was close to closing time. Overall a great place. Definitely recommend!
We come here almost every other weekend. My son loves it here. He absolutely enjoys the new addition to Dave and busters called ?the arena? the attendant Josh was awesome and helpful. We will definitely be doing this game every time we come here now. We also love the flatbread pizza !
I was bar-hopping just to grab a beer and didn't realize there was a UFC fight going on, every bar I walked into was charging cover just to get in. I wasn't even there for the fight, just wanted a chill spot to relax. I stopped by Dave & Buster?s thinking they probably weren't showing it? but to my surprise, not only was the fight on, it was totally free to watch. Talked to Ricky at the bar (super cool bartender) and he told me they're always free for UFC events because they're sponsored by the UFC. No co
We were looking for something fun to do and grab a bite to eat. A bar was a must. Neither my boyfriend and I had come to D&B before. FOOD: I had the Chicken Avocado Club. It was good but a bit cold. My boyfriend ordered the pizza. I wish I had ordered that instead. It tasted great! DRINK: I had the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita. It was surprisingly refreshing. I was disappointed the cubes were not watermelon slices like I thought. Instead, they were ice cubes made of strawberry juice. I later used them
Phone staff confirmed there is dance dance revolution, but it is pump it up.
Is this burger worth $15? I don't think so. My dining experience at Dave and Buster's was a huge letdown. The lettuce bun, in particular, was a perplexing choice that didn't work at all. We had chosen this restaurant based on online information about various vegan options, but the reality was quite different. Supposedly, all Dave and Buster's locations should offer a wheat bun without egg or milk, but this particular one did not. This was a disappointment, especially considering the number of people with eg
Worst experience ever!!! Nobody greeted or served us. Was inside for over an hour just to get someone to take my drink order. Then the girl refuses to serve me because my ID was slightly bent. Never in my life have I ever heard of that and I was TABC certified Customer care is lacking and I will never come back again. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days for a refund. Don't even get me started on their POS menu for the pay and play. Do your mental health a favor and don't come to this establishment
1st time attending this location! Loved it! I ordered the steak salad trying to feel healthy XD? It was ok, looked awesome but taste was ok. I wouldn't order it again it wasn't for me? Wife ordered chicken Parmesan and that was awesome! Big enough to feed 2? But I will be going again!!
At 1st they were ok. The food was ok. But I see they stepped the food game up and also there video game selection is great. The staff from the bar to the wait staff did a excellent job. We had a great time . I will definitely come again.
Super amazing place, went there to eat and had the most nicest and kindest waiter ever her name was ale she helped also learn more about the game and answered any questions me and my husband had. Everything was awesome!
Mia was our waiter and she did an amazing job at serving us today. She was kind and quick. Loved the food she recommend. 10/10 will come again. Kroli at the arena was also super amazing at explaining the games, it was so fun. The hostess Delia was also so kind and such a bright person. They also now have bays, didn't get to try them out today but for sure will next time.
Love the food and games. The size of the meals are big and pack a ton of flavor. The new pizza is amazing with crisp pepperoni slices. I definitely plan on coming more often for just the food alone lol. Your kids will have a blast and love the food as well. Definitely a must go to place for friends and family
Josh at the new Arena play area was made the experience outstanding! He is very attentive and professional, I will come back because of his service! On the other hand the server by the bar area was non existent, she showed up to take the order and never again. I had to ask for my check at the bar. She needs to get more training in customer service.
We went in to check it out on a Sunday at 8pm.The place had people wasnt overloaded, got my kids some of those expensive reload cards to pay.. Heads up its $2 extra for the card on top of what your paying. Food is on the pricey side. We went to the bar and a waiter passing by helped us out got is sone sprites right away. We didnt eat, just brought the girls to play. Each game costs minimum 6.8 credits Pretty pricey. The music was loud but i rather hear music than a bunch of kids crying and running around. R
Josh helped us out today and he was awesome he is the one assisting the arena and he was friendly and energetic 5 stars for him!!! thank you!!
Had a better experience like all the new features renovations. Employees are extremely helpful. Great front desk service. Alot cleaner game room it makes a difference. The Deadpool game I'll you decide
Overall pretty good. I didn't like the salad but the wings and the pretzel.dogs were good. The games were pretty good but I don't like that you get charged $3 per card on top of the fact that you have to buy a large package of games in order to get a better deal.
Great place for food and fun, the sandwich was really good and well served. Service was excellent and attentive.
Took my friend there for her bday and let me tell you the food was the worst the chicken tenders and boneless wings were terrible like the size and the taste we paid alot just to get the worst wings n tenders ever
I had a bad weather day off so I took my son to Dave and Busters. We had a great time, there were game's that we both could enjoy together. We had fun on the air hockey table as well. Some of the games are basically the same thing just the theme is changed. We didn't try the food be cause we had dinner plans at home. So I'm rating the game room. I would have given Dave and Busters on more star except, I have to give them a thumbs down on cleanliness and the lack of Covid protection. There was nobody wiping
We ALWAYS have a good time at Dave and Busters. The drinks are amazing, the bar staff is great and the food will speak for itself!
After years of waiting... we finally got our own Dave & Buster's in the valley! This place is jam packed with games, LOTS of big screen tv's with all sorts of sports available to watch, and fantastic food!! This place showcases what the arcade has evolved to. State of the art games, Over the top burgers, pizza, wings, and all the fixings, but just wait... D&B's takes it a step further than your standard sports bar foods... they offer quality foods such as steaks, ribs, fish platters, barbecue platters and
This is a great place to eat, drink, and have fun. Their alcoholic drinks are so good here.
Grandson's 16th bday with close friends...1st time here..had a blast!
We had an amazing time at Dave & Buster's! Josh was super helpful, especially with the new game called The Arena. He made sure we knew exactly how to play and gave us some great tips. The game itself was awesome, intense and exciting! Big thanks to Josh for making our experience even better. We'll definitely be back soon!
Great time. Good food. Lots of fun, games were awesome
Since we got here early when they opened we had the whole place to ourselves for quite a while and then we ate at 12. Our food was great. Their clubs & burgers are bomb!
Games are fun for about a hour or so, food is ok but definitely not the best. Bring plenty of money to come here and have a good time.
Mia was my waitress, amazing service! I recommend asking for her. Managers even came by my table to make sure everything was okay. I also recommend booking the Shuffleboard social bay or the Arena with Ale, they were so fun.
Nem took amazing care of us!! definitely ask for her next time!! will be coming back??
I've gone on many occasions. I love it every single time. Can't wait to go again.
I wanted to say a special thank you to the manager Samantha and the Bartender Nemesis. They went out of their way to accommodate my child and I being vegan and to make my child (who is severely cognitively disabled )birthday special. They did this all before they even knew we were homeless living in a hotel..it just us no one else. Kindness is not something I'm shown often and was feeling like a failure because I couldn't give my child a better birthday/life...so from the bottom of my heart thank you for ma
1st time here and it was soon amazing, Erika our waitress was the very best, helped us with food and drink choices and explained everything just perfect.
Overall experience was great, the service to take our order was a little slow, the game play was pretty cool and worth the price. The food was alright felt to me that it lacked flavor although it wasn't expensive however they do lack variety to choose from.
The food and service was great! Spicy Korean boneless wings and the fish & chips was so good.
Cant wait for the remodeling. It is going be that much more fun!!@
Had a great time, along with the rest of the Texans fans
I came when it wasn't busy at all thankfully so I got to play alot of games, it's very fun and clean here and they provide tables near the games in case you have any bags or drinks you don't want in the way when you're playing the games. The bathrooms were also clean.
We had a great time at the McAllen D&B! All of the staff were wonderful and the food was delicious!
Great atmosphere and plenty of games to choose from! Also, Wednesday's are half price token cost for all games!
First time here. Went around 1pm not much people we figured it was perfect for my children to enjoy games.(heavily raining). We got seated and waited, waited and waited and saw the servers walking around, but we never got acknowledged like no one came to serve. Realize 35 minutes had passed by... Decided to step out and went to Bubba's across the street. No opinion on the food wasn't able to taste but the menu looks pretty pricey for basic food. Regardless a family of 4 got to pay $90 at bubba's. Thanks for
A lot smaller than I would have hoped for in a Dave & Busters. I ate near the bar and the food was decent. Nothing horrible and nothing really stand out. The pretzel pizza bits for an appetizer was pretty good. I was there during happy hour and thats the only time I would but a drink there. Half price cocktails and your still paying 5$ a drink. The first drink I could not even taste alcohol. Second was good. The games were decent but as I stated, it is not as big as I would have expected. 20$ lasted me long
Everything was good ... food could be better but I get it ... its mostly about the games...
Brandon, was our server. Got to say, very attentive, on point with all 20 of our guests serving the food, getting our orders correct and making sure everyone got refills with out asking. We need more servers like Brandon. Cameroon area young Guy JR. I believe his name, also very attentive great customer service. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN BRANDON,and Jr. Made my daughters birthday party!! A blast!!! Everyone should try this place. Great family and friends place to enjoy.5 STARS For Brandon
It was our first time there. The food was delicious and my daughter loved the game room.
Great family fun. We used to go to the one in Nashville TN all the time. Now that we are in the RGV I'm glad there is one down here where we could go to have fun. My kids love it there.
Stopped here on our drive from South Padre Island to Laredo because they had the football game on. Came here on a Sunday and was not too crowded. They are social distancing the tables. The cheesesteak sliders were delicious! The pretzel hot dogs were also good. They were very accommodating and allowed my service dog and also changed the TV to the specific football game my husband wanted to watch. Great service too.
Under construction and the people paying for it. Service was good but 3 adults and one child, 2 ate, for over $170. NOT included in the fee were the cards to play games. Never again unless I take out a loan. Staying home and playing bingo or Xbox. Dang!
ERICK IS AWESOME!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Had a situation with a game and he was able to fix it in less than 3 minutes!!!
Not very good in handicap accessibility we had to wait about 30 minutes for a low table
Food was ok don't order chicken wings not good quality meat I had to return it but they did replace with chicken tenders they was so good try the dry rubs and games was funny even got a free gift for the bday girl and a welcome to McAllen gift it was very cool to watch him go in the giant machine to get the bear and my son got a McAllen basketball ???????? we will be back to try other stuff hope I can come change to a 5 start
Went here as a treat for my birthday. Friendly staff, good service, a clean environment and great food and drinks! The games were fun as well! :)
Very busy and packed place but alot of fun and tasty food but it is a bit pricey so be aware and bring ur wallet for a good time.
Great service the bbq ribs were awesome ?? I liked the new chairs and giant tvs even the game section were kool.
There are many games in here including VR, claw machines, and arcade games. There is also space to order food with reasonable prices. I really had a good experience overall.
Great games for all ages. Service was very good, prices are bit high. Clean dining room as well as restrooms. Overall place is good for family or a date
My gal and I weren't hangry as usual, so we shared some nachos. Order took so long, I became hangry, and didn't even snap a pic of the plate. I was so hungry I didn't even take a pic of my awesome nachos! My son had a Philly cheese-steak sammie, and loved it! OMG, I had no clue how hard those dancing games were! After some delicious nachos, I challenged my 14 year son to one of those dancing games! FML .. Food was good, games were awesome & building was clean. We'll be back!
I had a great time. There was so many fun games to play and the food was amazing. Plus it has a great atmosphere u can watch so many games at once which is great. Also it's great for family and friends to catch up.
We went on a Friday evening + there was a good amount of ppl but not too crowded. Which was really enjoyable. The didn't serve any large platters (like in other cities) which was a bummer + the food was kinda pricey.
Let me just say as soon as those doors flew open my husband and I were astonished. The remodeling is EPIC. They now have 3 Social Bay spots where adults can get together and relaxl! Ale, one of the managers was amazing she took care of everything we needed and was so kind! Alinah was our waiter and she was lovely. Nobody does it like Dave and Busters ??????
The staff were very friendly when they received us. I was serve by a young lady that likes makeup, her name is Alexandra and she made my family experience at Daves and Buster very much enjoyable. Alexandra was informative of the menu and recommended the best choices that this restaurant offers. Thank you Alexandra!
I have nothing to complain about the games, this is all about the restaurant. As soon as we entered, they forgot one of our drinks, waited 10mn for it, and one of the appetizer plates was broken in half. Then, the wings were overcooked and hard. The 'crispy' chicken tenders had nothing crispy, they were soggy and $11 for barely 5 tiny tenders? As for the 'truffle' fries, there was no sign of truffle. Simply too much garlic. The spicy korean wings were just covered in soy sauce. And even though it was a s
You get an extra star for the awsome games. The food here is horrible, the dough on the pretzel rolls was raw. Dont even get me started on the pvc tasting thing they call a salad. Ughh
Got to try the new arena game and got amazing service from Joshua!! I definitely recommend! He made it very fun and easy to understand! I would love to come again
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
