Always a great experience when we go! Freddy was amazing! We go every couple of months. Their food is amazing! This place knows how to do crust! The crust and crunch on the fish and chicken tenders are superb! Medium prices, but if we want a great fish experience, Dave and busters really delivers!! Also new this time we visited was the super charge! Very worth it in my opinion! Oh and the garlic aoli is amazing! I'm a big sucker for it! Best in Madison!

Kid night or adult getaway, this is your place. It is such a fun date night location! I absolutely love this D&B ! The manager, supervisors, and staff are incredible and nice! They are always there to help and take care of you! I can not say enough about how great the staff is! The food is good! I always enjoy a great burger here! Drinks will not disappoint! Get in on their happy hour!!! The games change to keep the atmosphere fresh. They keep some classics so you can keep on the hunt for the coin pusher

I don't usually post bad reviews, but today I am compelled to. We went to D&B be cause it was convenient to another stop, and because I had a coupon from the Bucky Book. Those were the only two saving graces of the meal. While we did not expect a fine dining experience, we got much less than that. We were seated right away. My better half ordered a raspberry ice tea and I a Diet Coke. My drink was fine, but hers tasted nothing like raspberry ice tea. When we mentioned it to our server, I will not be mention

I had only been to D&Bs years ago. My Daughter had a birthday party for fellow Special Olympian. What a blast was had! Pretzels were divine and rootbeer was in bottle?not tap. Joe Beck, who's been doing balloons for 9 years, even taught me a magic trick. The owner/manager who looks like a young Antonio Banderas really made my visit fun! We will be back!

Love this place and they have updated it from the past time I was theere. I just wish there was pool tables still. Unless I missed them. Great place to spend with family friends or game alone and still have fun. Employees I had interactions with were all respectful and helpful. Food got 4 ? 's because it's kinda pricey but very tasty so it takes sense.

My family goes all the time! Games are amazing to play and they all work! The workers are very nice! Food is great every time. What made me write a review was that I brought my family and parents on easter Sunday at 2pm. I did not plain on coming on easter but it rained and I wanted my parents to try the new top gun game they have. We got their and everyone was super nice! They had an easter egg hunt and my son got lots of candy! In lots of the eggs they gave out free food. We got a free meal and a free app

This Dave and Buster?s location has plenty of fun games to play. Everything works properly and it's easy to get your old cards reloaded with the credit stations throughout the arcade. My suggestion is to use the credit stations rather than use the front desk to purchase new cards or reload old ones. My dad got charged extra when he recharged his card. As fun as the games were, a lot of them can have steep skill curves. Practice makes perfect. Also, the noise levels can get to you after a while. Maybe

Super fun!! We came here for the games and were not disappointed. The prizes are a lot better than most arcades too!

I had a great date night with my girlfriend she really enjoyed the food and the delicious churros. The food even looked great and tasted great! We were able to watch March Madness basketball as well on multiple TVs. I will be coming back and Maggie was Fantastic!

I've been to many D & B and this one is my favorite always clean and the staff there is amazing. A good selection of beer on tap and cocktail menu. A ton of arcade games and their prize room is very good.

Went here with my boyfriend for his birthday present and had a lot of fun gaming and I even tried the VR! It was easy to get a card for the games and download the app and use my phone too. Very impressive decor and drinks. Bartender was quiet but he knew what he was doing when it came to making a good drink. So many games to play and had so much fun. Made me feel like a kid again! Definitely will come back here when in town.

The food was way overpriced and not good. The first set of fries that came out tasted cold and hard. The server even tried one and was not impressed. My son's pretzel Dogs came way overcooked. I had Philly Sliders. They came cold with the buns being hard. I asked for a replacement with reg burger sliders. Pretty sure they weren't happy I complained, considering the way they came out. Service is extremely slow. I have been sitting here for 30 min trying to get a refill on my water. I'm sure this will cost me

The overall experience barely gets to 4 stars because the food is pretty good. We had the pasta dish you can get if you redeem tickets for it and it was delicious. The machines in the arcade are fairly run down. You can tell they are old. Almost all of them do work, but you find the odd feature of some is they are all kind of dirty which changes how the games play a bit. The people are fine and helpful and don't seem to hate life while they are there so that's good, but there weren't many of them when we

We went to Dave & Buster's for a family meal and had a great time! Our server, Ty, was so friendly and attentive. The kids had a blast playing games and the food was excellent, especially the funnel cake fries!

4-Star Review for Dave & Buster's I had a great time at Dave & Buster's! The variety of games was fantastic, and there was something for everyone in our group to enjoy. The food was pretty good, especially considering it's more of an entertainment venue. The drinks were fun and creative, adding to the overall experience. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get a bit pricey, especially if you're planning to play for a long time. Also, it was quite crowded during peak hours, makin

Brought my son and his friend here for his birthday. As soon as we put money on the cards to play games, the internet went down. Tried to order the kids special drinks we got during our last visit, the waitress said she couldn't make them. We ordered food?3 flat breads. Asked the waitress about the status of the food after waiting 45 minutes, her response was: ?I have no idea what's going on.? After an hour, we left with no food. Overall?awful, such a bummer of a birthday.

Me & my daughter came in to eat and play games. We waited almost 20 minutes before we were helped and the people that were seated after us were helped immediately. By the time we had our food order placed the other people were getting their food. Our drinks & appetizer came quickly and our meals came within a decent amount of time. I had ordered truffle fries but received regular. I asked the waiter about it and he said he'd go get some. He never came back with any. He never even came to check how our food

Went in with my family on a Sunday. Everything was going fine we ate first. After waiting 30mins for the bill after eating. No one showed. So after looking around I see customers had left their coats and drinks at table. Which left me the impression you pay your bill once you're done playing games etc. which is true. Having fun playing games. All I hear is , hey!!! I turned around to the front counter person. Saying they thought you ran off on the bill. ppl looking at us. I ask the lady don't we pay before w

Had fish & Chips, loved the batter. Fries really crispy. But the place is loud for us old folks. Great for young families. I got my meal free for Veterans day. Will be back with ear plugs.

The place was pretty large and very fun with the right group of friends. It was full of drinks, lights, and tons of video games. It took a little time setting up the digital card through my phone to play the games but once we got that figured out It was very fun. The food was amazing also I can't wait to go back next time.

New Dave and Busters opened In Madison today. Portion size on the Chicken Tortilla soup was a little small, but the Bowl size is only $1 extra, so I'll do that next time; flavor was very good. Mac and Cheese and Short Rib Stacker also had very good flavor; could have used a little more sauce since it was a little dry. Picture doesn't show that the stack was very high with a huge portion of tater tots. Nice ambiance in the regular restaurant area, sound level in the sports bar section was a little loud f

Trevor was our bartender he was awesome. Gil the general manager was more than accommodating. Barbacoa quesadillas were top notch. 10 out of 10, we will be back.

Great fun was had by all! 5 year old Grandson won 1000 tickets on his first spin!

I usually come and in head straight to the machine reloader, and the staff recognizes this. I'm not one for a ton of interaction, so the fact that the staff acknowledge my presence but aren't too pushy about going to the counter is phenomenal. I'll have to try the food at some point, but I'm sure it's as good as the variety of games! PS, never let a rhythm game player near the piano keys, I slaughtered the high score of 71.

The food was never even given the chance to try atmosphere and look like it would have been a nice place had me and my friend would of even given proper table manners when you go to an establishment but we were told to go to a table sat there for 10 to 15 minutes and didn't have one single person asked us if we wanted something to eat or drink now remind you I drove almost 2 hours away just to go to this place. Just to be disappointed ??

First time there. It was an exciting experience with my family especially my Grandkids. The kids kept busy and were happy to be there. We dined there as well and food was delicious. The noise level was a bit overwhelming at times but managed thru it

They have all you can eat chicken wings two days a week. We go there order they all you can eat wings the waiter told us we can only get honey Sriracha or mango habanero. So we ordered they kids are playing having fun oder more wings she tells me only 3 orders allowed in total. I said how is it all you can eat if there is a limit. She said that's just the rules and everyone knows it. When I asked where is said that on the menu she said it's just the facts. Then I noticed you can order any flavor you want.

Friendly staff and good parking. Lots of games spread out. Food was good. Not the best value arcade/restaurant but still a fun place to enjoy a few games.

Lots of broken games, it ate up our credits and staff was pretty sure people were intentionally breaking games. The staff was unavailable or completely absent when we needed them for questions or help. The baby changing station was completely unusable, it looked as if someone tried using it as a seat. This left my husband forced to hold the table up with his knee. My family still had a fun time, that's why I am giving a three. However it's very disappointing to see that this establishment has really gone do

Amazing place! Great place to watch football or baseball. Food is good, plus they have a black bean burger for the vegetarians you might know. Always a stop for me while I'm in Madison.

Update 2024: after my review they changed the baseball machine rules; made it so a strike or a foul is counted as 1 out. Didn't really appreciate that. Went just for gameplay, the staff was awesome and patient while I reviewed their deals. I spent around $60+ for Me +1 person. Only thing I didn't really find great was the ticket payout on most games is very low for the credits spent to play. There's very few machines that will guarantee a bigger payout on tickets. I cashed out with some nice gifts from the

Excellent atmosphere and selection of games. Very clean. Service is ok, but could be better. I didn't have food, but my friend Chris Carlton (also a local guide) said it ?wasn't anything to write home about?.

Food was ok. Drinks are spendy. We found 4 games that didnt work and 2 more that didnt work how they should. When getting game cards at your table they factor those into the tip price on your bill. $220 for a family of 4 and that includes two drinks each for adults and two $40 game cards for the kids.

The service was fantastic. Freddy was a fantastic and super helpful employee. He helped explain how we could get more points on our card using the supercharge process.

The games are slightly better priced than spare time and there are a lot more but holy bananas is this place loud. Its almost intolerable. Food is mediocre but if you're going here for the food you're doing it wrong. Many games are half price Wednesdays but it is based on the color of the token reader.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was great and our waiter, Ty, was super friendly and went out of his way to make my kids happy!

Good overall, though extremely loud in the arcade room. Have been to other arcades where machines were not as loud. So I know this could be improved.

Site Ref: Spicy Smash Burger Add a bit of spice with?Cajun-spiced patties crowned with pickled jalape?os, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ancho lime mayo & fried jalape?o on a toasted potato bun.

Big establishment.. Clean and open spaced. Can accommodate large groups with private areas. TV's everywhere.. Food is simple and good. Don't expect to have a conversation in bar and game area..Very Loud!!! Had a great time for 1st time visiting..

Truly heartbreaking experience, my family and I drove up from illinois to visit. How we were treated I would never recommend to anyone to spend ur money to be treated in such a way. It was 4pm when we arrived and the bartender was so rude from the start, I had to ask a few times to get his attention to try and get a game card. When he did walk over I asked about the cards and he picked a board up and slammed it down in front of me and the others with me. Mind you I had my autistic child with me and this is

Worse service I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. Had to shout the length of a the table because the server wouldn't come to the other end. Was never offered a refill on my drink. Food was served cold and it took 20 minutes to get salt. And the place wasn't busy. Maybe 25% of tables were being occupied. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Later it took 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar. If you go, go only for the overpriced games.

Food was ok. French fries were so salty we couldn't even eat them. The service was horrible. You couldn't even hear the server because she talked so quiet. It took her forever to come back to see if we needed anything and then took 20 minutes to bring our bill after we asked for it. As for the atmosphere the music was so loud that you couldn't even have a conversation.

Worst service ever! The waitress brought the drinks and never came back. A waiter took a long time to take our order. We ordered another drink, they never brought it. After a long wait, I had to ask for the check. We are never coming back to such a disorganized place!

The experience would have been far improved if the staff had better service-orientated attitudes. Bartenders had poor service and were downright surly. Drinks were good, but I felt like an obligation to the bartender, who appeared not happy to work. Multiple misfunctions occurred on gaming machines and the front desk employees was not overly helpful. When the game tech did arrive to help (he was tied up in another area through no fault of his own), he was good and friendly. The employee running the prize se

Food was great and the games were a blast. Some of them were either rigged or not tuned properly. One of them no matter how hard you pull the lever back it won't actually move past the first spiral. The server for us literally would not speak to me. He frequently would stand behind my shoulder and ignored me. My wife has bad social anxiety and when we go out, I tend to give both of our orders so she can minimize peopleing. The server literally would stand over my shoulder and behind me and then lean past m

My friend and I drove 2 hours to try something new and exciting as we are both in our 40s and we were extremely excited when we pulled up to go spend money on this awesome arcade and hopefully eat some good food.. HAHAHA The treatment the moment we walked in was uninviting we sat at our table after being sat and waited for a waitress for a drink order was 10 minutes so we decided to leave. When outside getting in out car this other gentleman starts talking with us about how he had to walk out also because o

I found a hair on the tooth pick that goes into the burger. 2 of the arcade games were also down. The service could have been worse but still pretty bad considering our waiter kept walking away when we we're ready to order. Overall it was a pretty crappy experience.

We come to this location often and always have a great time! Staff is friendly and food is good. Freddy always greets us with a smile when we arrive!

Loved the food, although some of it was a little spicy for me. It was a little pricy but it was well worth the fun! I will be returning later on even if it is just to play games in the arcade area.

I'd like tp give it a higher score as we love this place, fun and affordable if you deal hunt (certainly cheaper than the casino and cleaner than ChuuckECheese). Services is just slow or they feel like they don't care. If you can try to sit at the bar and always speak up, goes on way. And this is important if err I mean when a game screws you or breaks you have to advocate for yourself. They understand.

Our kids absolutely love this place. The appetizers are great and it's a fun environment. Happy we have one in madison now. The prizes could be better but the kids don't seem to care.

Went here with friends, place is super nice and a great way to spend time! Freddy works front desk and he is always a reliable and hardworking person!

I'm from out of town & my family and I had a great time! We would definitely come back for our waitress Amber & the woman working in the ticket spot. Unfortunately, we didn't get her name but she was amazing!

The food was very good and the games were very fun and the person helping us was Freddy he was very helpful guided us and did a lot of things for us

The arcade part is fine. Expensive, but you probably already know that before you get to a Dave n Busters. However, the food part is one of the least comfortable dining experiences you can have. As if the arcade isn't loud enough, they decide to blare music at a volume that causes actual hearing damage and makes conversation impossible. You can definitely tell it affects the servers, as the service is routinely bad, but I genuinely don't think it's the employees' faults. It's so loud they can't even hear yo

We were there for a total of 2.5 hours. 2 of those hours were waiting. The other 30 mins was us eating. We waited forever for the waiter (not his fault) they were super short staffed. Then we waited for the bartender (too busy doing 10 jobs because they're short staffed) we got our appetizer after 30 mins, it was ok...it LOOKED amazing, but was too overpowering from the Pineapple/mango. It said it was spicy and it wasn't even "spicy" like black pepper. The menu super sucked because it was VERY limited (we w

I'll have to ask his name, but the man that used to wear the monsters inc hat, works at the front desk a lot, always goes above & beyond! wouldn't be the same without him? appreciate the effort. Good food & lots of tv?s

I came here with 3 friends and the menu had something delicious for each of our different lifestyles. I got the southwest salmon, it was so fresh and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was educated on the menu and was prompt with her service. She checked in at reasonable intervals and ensured water was never empty. I was quite impressed with the entire evening. I definitely recommend.

Catered buffet was well cooked and presented... Dishes never went cold or empty. Gaming room was clean and bright and electric with excitement. Bar service was good... Speedy and well made drinks.

The place was very big and yet inclusive thanks to the employees. Freddy at the counter is amazing and can help be very welcoming. Definitely coming back often!!

Very enjoyable, good customer service and all. Enjoyed my time with my family and friends. Fully recommend to go. - Best dude Freddy at front desk.

So much fun! Better than knuckleheads in the dells, and definitely cooler than taking your kids to Chucky Cheese. Great food! The shrimp dip is a must order, drinks were delicious, even the kids slushes! The game choices are amazing, and unless you're like my fiance and myself and crack out on coin dozer you get a lot of game play(and tickets) for your money!

I seldom give an all star rating but it was easy to do here. The first person we talked to at the register when we first walked in was so nice and friendly that my wife at first thought he might be the owner. We took our daughter there for her 11th birthday and he made sure to interact with her and make her feel special. Our waiter was even more awesome, if possible, with her as well as all of us. We were so impressed that I tipped more than the suggested tip price. Good service goes a long way with me and

Great games, reasonable drinks, I wish I could win more game credits instead of just tickets but other than that this place was fun. Didn't have any food

Fun. Had a great time. Food menu kind or blows and it's expensive food but still dropping 5 stars cause it's an arcade and arcades are cool af

Me and my familia had a great time the food was good nace and hot my sever was Lexii, very helpful and hay a big smile,

Server was very nice but had a lot of trouble taking our order. Food was mediocre, not excellent but not horrible. A handful of the games were broken and would take credits without actually working properly, kind of ruined the vibe. Overall it was a decent time, just could have been better.

i?ve been here multiple times with my family and it's so much fun the food is so great here and the staff is very kind to make sure that you always have a great time!

Came in with my family for Christmas An employee named Derrick was very rude & Obnoxious & VERY unprofessional with yelling on the phone In front of my family But overall, I had a good time in the food was good. They need to get rid of that guy and they were had a better place for business.

We just came for the arcade, so I can't speak to the food or drinks yet. The arcade is as good as advertised - everything feels premium and is a blast to play. But if you're used to say Chuck E. Cheese, be prepared to spend more for a similar amount of time. Although there we plenty of older kids or young adults Ithe floor I had no concerns taking my 11 daughter there (she had a fantastic time). Given the cost and the types of games I don't think I'd bring young school-aged kids, although nothing is unfrien

Had a great time, Legacy our waitress was great, games were fun but some were not working due to social distancing....over all I give it a A ...

This place treated me like family, which his awesome because I come here with family every other weekend (my 8 yo son). Kitchen manager Mr. Tony set me up for success, and dang does he cook a good burger. Appreciate this place and highly recommend.

The food was ok, but the presentation was horrible. I ordered the Dip Trio and was thoroughly disappointed. Everything looked like it was just thrown on the tray. The white queso dip bowl was half full and there was about 6 pieces of pulled pork. Not even close to the picture in the menu. The bloody mary I ordered was good although it had a bit too much ice for the price. I didn't game while I was there but I walked around the gaming area. It seems very clean and new. There are some really neat looki

Everything here is so delicious! The food is always hot and fresh and the cocktails are awesome. The games are fun and they have much to choose from for people of all ages. If you have the chance, try the impossible burger - tastes just like a real hamburger!

I work with special needs adults and took my client to D & B's to have some fun and play some games. The workers there were super helpful and made us feel very welcomed. My client especially liked the "claw" game and won a Wolverine pendant. After about 30 minutes, we decided to get some appetizers - which were really tasty! The manager delivered our food and also listened to my client's story about how he conquered the "claw" machine. I appreciated the way this manager took the time to listen and also aske

It's alright, nothing fancy, and I so wish the food looked like it was in the menu. The drinks are good but a bit overpriced. I've been here twice and the first time the chicken on my pasta was burnt and then I tried the pulled pork sandwich which did not have much taste. The games are alright for a night out, but nothing special.

Freddy working on Wednesday night at the host/arcade card was amazing! He was so kind and handled the rush well.

Manager was very nice but one Hispanic waitress who had her eyebrows drawn with very thick eyeliners was mouthy with us when we told her we wanted our check split up saying ?we never told her we wanted our check split up etc? ???????

I've stopped in here a couple of times on my way to the SpareTime nearby just to see if anything's new enough to justify giving the place another shot. Consistently, there are at least three machines out of order, we see few if any staff members, and there tends to be a nauseating odor in nearly every corner of the building. Totally unfortunate. SpareTime on the other end of the West Towne Plaza is in much better shape.

We came here for my birthday, just my boyfriend and I. He had never been to a D&B's and was psyched for this! The welcoming/credit counter had only one person working it. The line began to grow and two other people jumped on to help customers. We only waited for about five minutes, which was perfectly fine. There was still nobody working the coat check in, so we decided to carry our coats around instead of taking them back to the car since it was snowing. We purchased about $120 worth of credits on our card

My boyfriend and I love going here for fun date nights. We love competition. That this place definitely helps us bring out our competitive side. The food is always amazing. Plus with the servers being so funny and nice to us. Definitely will be back for more games and food.

Freddy was very welcoming when we came in, he helped upkeep the friendly and fun atmosphere of Dave and Busters!

A good arcade experience. Same games as anywhere else, but nice lighting, the guy at the door was very nice. The food looked good, but I ate before coming.

As volunteers for Make A Wish, we hosted a wish delivery event at Dave and Busters. Dave and Busters donated the event, inclusive of free dining and gaming for our wish kid and his family group of 10. The team there, from servers to management, went the distance to accommodate our group. There is an entire wall of donated items up for auction where 100% of the proceeds are donated to Make A Wish. Please keep in mind the charitable priority of Dave and Busters when considering where your next fun adventu

We decided to give D&B another try for diner after a poor visit 7 years ago. The 50% off is what enticed us. I made reservations for 5:30. We arrived at 5:25 and didn't know where to go?the food ?hostess? stand was empty and looked like it hasn't been in use for years. So we got in the counter line (what I was trying to avoid by reservations). We wait behind 4 families who are just getting play cards. Finally we get to the counter and are seated. We waited 15 minutes before ANYONE even approached us. We ord

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers.
