Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise friendly, attentive staff who enhance the experience, with many highlighting exceptional service. Food quality is mixed—some enjoy it, while others criticize overcooked, overpriced, or cold dishes. The arcade games are fun, but ticket redemption and game costs frustrate some. Cleanliness and atmosphere are generally well-regarded, though noise levels may deter those seeking quiet. Negative reviews often cite poor management, slow service, or billing issues. Overall, it’s a popular spot for groups and families, but food consistency and value divide opinions.

We went here today and it was very busy. My husband ordered shrimp Cajun pasta without sausage. When the food came out the pasta still had sausage in it. We waited for about an hour before my husband could get the correct meal. When the shrimp pasta came back out there was a piece of meat in it. How it got there, I do not know. My son ordered the rib-eye meal. The ribeye was charred and when he started eating the mashed potatoes he realized he was chewing on something that was a different texture and spit i

Booked a party for an elementary graduation. Process was very easy, Barb and Shay were very helpful over the phone with questions and changes to party before event. Joseph was phenomenal as our host, food was ready on time and all of the kids enjoyed it. Kids loved the unlimited play cards! Joseph was available to help with any questions or issues with cards. Our servers were also attentive and helpful. Overall great experience and we will book a party here again!

It was fun. Waitress was very good. Wife had two drinks, and I had two beers. We shared an appetizer. $70+ with a tip. Games were really fun and most all of them were working which isn't normal for this type of place so it was very good. Tables scattered throughout so you can drink while gaming. Again, very fun.

Wife and kids decided it was finally time to try this place out. We were sat immediately on a Saturday and our waitress was very friendly. The food came out quick and it was pretty good. Not a single complaint from a full table of people. We enjoyed some games after we ate. All the games were functional and it was not very busy. The gift shop leaves something?s to be desired. That's the only complaint. Overall we will return in the near future.

Absolutely amazing service from Alex at Dave & Buster?s! From the moment we were seated, Alex was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our experience better. He checked on us regularly without being overbearing, got our orders perfect, and had a great attitude the entire time. He even gave us awesome game recommendations which made the night even more fun. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and it shows. If you go to Dave & Buster?s, ask for Alex?you won't be disappointed!

The games are fun BUT DO NOT GET THE PASTA , the chicken was burnet and the pasta tasted like pure grease. Plus the fried pickles were goid but for 10 dollars I was expecting more ,instead we got a handful of pickles

I've gone here once before and told myself not to return but the last experience we had was when they first opened so I chalked it up to it maybe being a fluke experience. I was wrong. I don't know how this place stays open. Cajun pasta tasted charred, A piece of toast is an additional 2$. My kids took one bite and wasted the rest, the waitress noticed and apologized, took the entire plate from our table and yet I'm still we were charged for it. All of the meals were sub par, but what took the cake was the

I had a great experience at Dave & Buster's! Our server Alex Hines was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Our food came quickly and was just as ordered. The atmosphere was lively, and the games were a blast. Great service all around?I'll definitely be back!

This is a great place to take your kids. The food was really good. We had a great waitress. She was so nice and really catered to my son. The games were lots of fun. My son also got decent prizes from his tickets. We had a great time. You will not be disappointed.

If it doesn't turn into a teenage daycare, it will definitely be a fun place for adults to have fun and play some arcade games. The food is comparable to like a buffalo wild wings or main event, but definitely much better much much better. They normally do very well with consistency of service and very well trained and knowledgeable staff. Corporate will be here to lead the restraunt so the true test will come a couple months down the line and we will see if the consistency is still there. That being said D

A great family atmosphere. Food was really pretty good. Service was fast friendly and attentive. Lots of games to play. Watch several tvs for sports. Bar too. Like most places like this can be pricey.

We had lunch here this past Monday 7/31/23 . It's a little loud but that's expected because of the type of restaurant it is but other than that it was great! Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the manager came by to check on us a couple of times. The best part was the food. It was hot , fresh, and cooked very well. I highly recommend going for the food and games and we will definitely come back.

Had a great time here for fathers day! Their food and service where amazing! Well definitely be coming back for a good time even if the drives an hour and half away. ??

I took my wife and our 7 children to this establishment on a Sunday at Five o'clock. The Rude and Obnoxious waiter that we were so fortunate to get said that they were out of Steaks and Ribs. The only appetizing items on the menu were the burgers and wings. I was ready to leave there even before we placed our orders, if it wasn't for the kids wanting to stay and play games, I was ready to take my family to another family entertainment center.

We came for Trivia Night!! Had a fantastic time at Trivia, Derek was awesome! But DAVE AND BUSTER's staff absolutely the WORST!!! We were told we would have to sit at the bar because the tables around trivia were all full. There were 12 tables EMPTY in that area. We sat at the bar from 730pm to 903pm without being acknowledged or asked if we wanted anything!! We were never even asked if we wanted to get drinks, food, water or anything despite waitstaff and managers walking by but refusing to even make e

You will surely have a great time at Dave & Buster. Lots of arcade games to choose from and great prizes too. And if you're hungry, they have big servings to keep you full.

It was a great place and I have always good time there.

I meet friends here in the evening. They were slow and we were offered a ?free? appetizer. I had only eaten my normal breakfast so I gladly accepted. My girlfriend and I split the wing, sliders, and pigs in a blanket appetizer. My girlfriend ate one of the sliders and I ate rest. I am truly convinced based on the days occurrence for both of us that those sliders gave us food poisoning. She threw up once the following morning and had an upset stomach for at least 72 hours. I however puked at least a dozen ti

I had an amazing experience at Dave & Buster's! The managers were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. My server, Ashlynn, was fantastic?quick, personable, and made great recommendations. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was so fun. Highly recommend for a great night out!

I had Alex and Morgan as waiters; they were very attentive and patient with our large table. The manager was also attentive to needs! The food was delicious, can't wait to come back!

Marques was such an amazing and wonderful server! This was my first time here and I would not hesitate to come back again for the amazing and exceptional service that Marques has given me my party today! Deserves a raise for sure! He is the server id want every other server to learn from in every food service industry! Thank you Marques for making my first time going to Dave and Busters one to always remember!

Took a youth group there for dinner on a Saturday night. We reserved a buffet set up. The food was good, but our servers Marques and Jordan were so patient and gracious with all of us especially JH and HS students! Thank you Dave and Busters!

Nick, Nielle, and Joseph were all so amazing!! We had a party of 7 and Nick took such great care of us, Nielle and Joseph were so helpful while we played games!!! Honestly the best time we've ever had at a D&B!!!

I called in advance to book a table for my daughter?s birthday, the guy that took my call said I had to do it online but that sometimes it shows unavailable and I could always go in as a walk in so of course couldn't make a reservation so we went in as a walk in. I had a party of about 10 I asked before being seated if we could have a booth close to the game area since it was for a birthday and kids were going to be playing. The host apologized and said I had to go to a table and order whatever then after I

The spicy chicken sandwich and regular chicken sandwich are delicious! Marques was an amazing server! Nicole stopped by our table and was a delight! Games were fun as well!

Only 1 issue, the fries were cold but the manager came and fixed it and heated them up, they were perfect after that, our waitress came over quick after the manager checked on us, not cool, she should've solved that issue not the manager. The other

My son and I sat at the bar. Bartender barely even acknowledged us. The few times he did acknowledge us he was friendly and responsive but failed to follow through. I would say on a scale of 1-10 of his list of priorities we ranked at the very bottom. We took my vehicle. My son had left his wallet in his vehicle. 100% understandable he wasn't served alcohol but wasn't even offered a alternative beverage even after ordering food. I had to ask multiple passers-by staff for ketchup, directions to bathroom, a a

The whole experience was AWESOME!! The workers were great and the food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was just right, delicious and hot. The server was on time with drink refills. She even offered to help with the purchase of game cards. The Atmosphere was phenomenal. It was fun and very family oriented. I will be back 2 or 3 more times before this week is done.

This place is new to Lubbock, Texas and we are all so happy to have such a fun place!! We went on mother's day and they were super busy. They do have a few bugs to work out, maybe try being patient with them, sometimes good help takes a little time to train. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a game type place. It has a old vegas vibe for adults and kids as well. It's loud but fun! If you are looking for a quieter place, don't go here. The food was delish-IOUs. They have a person who gre

This review is specifically written for one employee, JOSEPH, at Dave and Buster?s of Lubbock. He was working in the ticket/prize area this evening, where you redeem the tickets for prizes. Joseph went above and beyond for our 4 year old little boy to assure that he felt seen, heard and important. It was getting late and our 4 year old was in between being in meltdown mode and super excited to pick out what he could buy with his tickets. Before we began looking for items, Joseph had a line of people he was

I'm not sure what's going on, but from living in Denver and eating at the Dave & Buster?s all the time my favorite thing was the garlic Parmesan truffle fries with the a?ol sauce.I came to the one in Lubbock and I got the smallest size of fries, which is supposed to be an appetizer And they tell me they no longer have that sauce. We had a table of 10 and it literally took us two hours to get our ticket and another hour for my sister to sit there and wait for her ticket after everybody had already left. The

The only problem tonight was the way I saw the manager her name started with a L scolding Dakota for not being positive in front of us. I was in the prize area with my kids when I saw this. And he was very helpful and made my experience very good! I agree with the post below

We took our grandson for Saturday lunch. Food was flavorful and we had a great time playing games. It was fun for everyone.

The host were AMAZING and ambri was an amazing server and bri made sure to make our experience memorable!! Love it here!!!

Date nite spoiled by Chuck E Cheese vibe. The amount of kids and birthday parties happening here on a Saturday you're better off having a night out at that dang Milestones place. Food was good and waitstaff was actually greatest one we got a table. 30 minute wait for a table is what we had.

The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of Dakota, he had the most positive attitude in the building and always greeted us with a smile. We needed assistance multiple times & Dakota never once hesitated to be friendly or go above what was needed.

Dave & Busters is the Disneyworld of Lubbock. Games are larger than life. Great family atmosphere. Plenty of staff ready to assist you with any questions. This is a major ?WIN? for Lubbock. Highly recommend visiting this new location. -Matthew

We came here today for my son?s 10th birthday and honestly had the best waitress (Nessa) and manger (Nicole) create the best memories for us! Thank you for all yall did for my family today!

Bar tender was male and me and my wife and two daughters and son are accustomed to females servicing us and find them crowD pleasing when we go spend are hard earned finances!

I understand a lot of people go to have a good time, enjoy the food, etc?.. but if u don't make a reservation, u have to wait? I see plenty of empty tables, but since I didn't reserve one, I'm S.O.L.. this place loses business because of this. It's not that fancy in here.

1st off if you are sensitive to light and sound do not go to this establishment. If you aren't sensitive this place is super fun!! Expensive but fun!! If you want about an hour of fun it will cost you about $50, that's not including food. Food, my caesar salad was VERY good, the nachos were probably the worst I've had. About $15 a plate.

Tremendous experience! Our company rented out D&B for an appreciation party over the weekend. I cannot speak highly enough about how kind & courteous all of the staff treated our employees & their families (86 total). From the management to those supervising the arcade floor & food service areas, everything was well-organized & enjoyable! Specifically, Javi accommodated our families with arcade play & jokes, and Harrison ensured that our families were accommodated with food & drinks. Excellent customer

Great place great staff! Grandkids love it!

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I placed an order online and when I picked it up, the bag was stapled. I get home and HALF of my order is missing. I tried to call the store but the call center says there is no ?direct line? to talk to them. They didn't offer a single solution, just asked for my name and number to have their ?customer service team? call me back within 48 hours. How can you not have a way to contact the store to try and offer a solution?!?? I think it's ridiculous and reflects TERR

Was excited to give Dave and Busters a try. Not that great, sadly. Service was extremely slow. Our appetizer made it to us before our drinks, then the drinks were wrong. Decided not to stay for more. The atmosphere is cool, and plenty of excitement. Could have been an off day. I'd give it another shot, things happen.

Food was served fairly fast but was not even warm so not sure what was up with that. Decent service and was clean. Alot of the games weren't working as well.

Food good Server i think Aleeya was phenomenal. Balloon guy so nice gave ALL the kids what they ask for

Great service! i loved the manager his name was isaiah he was very attentive checked on us and made sure everything was good. i will be back soon

Amazing place. The place was packed, and they stayed on top of everything for us. Kept checking in. Atmosphere was great and the staff were very helpful and reliable. Coming back for sure. Great Job

Alex and Morgan were our servers and did a great job. They were friendly, attentive, and fast with our orders.

The food was fantastic!!! And our server Marques was fantastic! He was fast on refills and on top of everything!!! 10/10 experience will come again!!!!

Marques was our server, very polite and friendly. Food was delicious, we will definitely be back.

The manager Nicole and our server Kyli were absolutely amazing! They were super fast and the food was delicious. Defiantly recommend coming here! Came back and the manager Emily and server Sonny were amazing too! We got seated right away and had a server there within a minute! Food was amazing just as last time!

Been sitting at the bar Got our regular drinks Order the burger and truffle fries Horrible Burger was burnt And the fries was like drenched in the garlic sauce It was just not appetizing Cancelled our burger The fries we didn't even eat Was waiting over 15 mins for a refill Which I didn't even get Got charged for the drinks only Do yourself a favor don't come here Maybe for the games only And drinks Not food

Food was not good! The cali sandwich I ordered had old avocado, old lettuce, old tomato and the pasta that my girl?s ordered was greasy and had burned chicken in it

Our server, Alex, was awesome! He took great care of us! Go see him, you won't be disappointed!

Ari was a great server. Very attentive and accommodating. Made the whole visit more enjoyable.

Everyone was amazing! Nicole, Peyton and Olivia! Wonderful experience will come back.

The manager Kristin was very sweet and helpful! She suggested the strawberry watermelon margarita and it was so good! Brady the bartender made it perfect!

I went to Dave and Busters with a very large group for my granddaughters Birthday. It was 25 of us. I arrived an hour early to get seating arrangements since we didn't have a reservation. The manager, Jake, did an awesome job getting us seated on time. Another manager, Kristen, and our waitress, Veronica, also did an awesome job taking care of us. They were constantly at our table making sure everything was alright. I had a great experience there.

Aidan was great. New server and did a very good job. He handled 2 tables witb 12+ people like a veteran. Thanks! The food was better than expected. The classic buffalo bone in wings were really good as well as the nachos.

Food was great! Morgan and Alex are great servers! Eat and play combo was a great deal!

I had an amazing experience, Mackenzie and Bri were awesome! 10/10 would come back!

Desiree was amazing and took care of us and went above and beyond please make sure she is recognized and the best employee with great respect and service

Great place to play some games and drink a beer. Lots of kids running around though. Basically like being at a theater with no movie ?????????

Had an awesome time tonight, came from Amarillo and was not disappointed! Denim was so helpful from the very beginning, he seen how lost we looked and explained everything to us and set us up with our game cards, the place was very busy and we had to call on him in the game area a few times for a game issue, each time he came with a smile, fixed us up and went back to helping others. The dining area, game room and restrooms were all clean and well kept. We will be coming back, thanks again to Denim, such

My family and I visited Dave and Busters for the first time and it was a great experience! Our server was Lexi and she was very friendly and helpful. She bright out our food fast and made sure we were good the entire time. We also met Kristin the manager and she was very sweet. She was walking around checking on all the tables and helped Lexi bring out our food because we were a large group. We will be coming back again!

Food took forever as usual..and portion of fries sucks for 5 dollars they hardly give u any..also food was cold for the price of the food please go eat some where else this place is only good for the games next time I am going to eat somewhere else then go play games here

If you're looking for a place for a decent meal, drinks and some good fun, this is the place. A venue for adults and family alike. Although there's an age requirement, families abound here, where the adults have drinks and conversation and the kids while away the hours with myriad arcade games to play, from the latest driving games, to good old air hockey. I highly recommend you give Dave and Buster's a try. You won't regret it!

The manager Nichole made a visit and made it feel more like a family and friends feeling. Our waiter Isiah was excellent and attentive. They both made our birthday party more special.

bri and zeke were so friendly. it was my first time here and i had a blast! definitely coming back

The food was great, the service was great, and there's entertainment

Always a fun time here! Me and my girlfriend go every Wednesday as we have slowly started becoming regulars! The best part of our experience every week is Raul. He's always got such a great attitude and is a super down to earth guy, we definitely always look forward to saying hi to him! Food is good, we haven't ever had a problem with it. My only complaint is the beer selection, there's not much to choose from other than your standards. If there were more options or local beers I'd be coming here a lot more

It was my husband and my first time here and we were confused how everything worked. Denim was amazing he helped us get play cards set up so we could start our fun! Then one of the machines was being stingy and kept freezing and Denim was happy to help each time with an amazing spirit the whole time! The other guys in the prize area were very nice and helped too! But Denim great job man you made our first time here an amazing experience!!

I always enjoy my Dave and Buster?s experience when I travel, from the food to the atmosphere but The best part of the Lubbock location is the service. I have received exceptional service every time. I had Mary as a server and she went above and beyond. I had everything I needed so quickly and even a few things I didn't know I needed. She has even made a few suggestions on trying new things that are now some of my favorites. She has even gone as far as to help me get the TV that is closest to me to show th

We had a great birthday experience thanks to Ari?s help in getting us all settled and served. Thanks again for everything!

Emily, the manager, is amazing! Max, the other manager, is good too, but Lili is outstanding! I had a flat tire, and bro paid for my Uber home. Plus, when my kid was sick, Lili even gave her some meds. She is truly something special ??the TVs are huge you can watch the Cowboys lose on a big screen! ?? It's a win for me! The games are really fun and unique. Emily, the manager, totally beat me in Mario Kart! James, the General Manager, also played with me. He's super chill and doesn't need to say much; he j

Me and my amazing boyfriend went here for our first date last year, yesterday we went again for our 1 year anniversary and recreated our first date, it was perfect! Just as magical as the first time. Avery served us our food and took care of us ?? The place is good for kids and the food is great, slightly on the pricey side but very fun!

Pretty good food and the games were great. Cleanliness 10/10 Service 10/10 Food 8/10

I had fun! Although there was food, let's be honest, the games are the reason we go!

I'm not one to write negative reviews. So for me to be here says a lot. Being a bartender myself, it's really sad to see how the day shift works here. Host didn't greet us at all, bartender would rather chat with his co-workers IN FRONT OF PEOPLE TRYING TO GET HIS ATTENTION. Food was somewhat decent at best. Hopefully this can help change the atmosphere and make the place a little more lively. At least the drinks we COULD ORDER was good.

Me and my family came in for a birthday lunch celebration and were not greeted by friendly faces or friendly staff at all. If I could give this establishment a 0 stars I would. There was absolutely no kind of passion or friendliness throughout our experience. The food was over cooked and over priced for the quality and serving size offered, when we could get the servers attention it was very passive aggressive and condescending. The manager was also very rude when we spoke to her. Our server was very obviou

Went in with my family it was close to 10 at night we were seated fairly quickly for 5 of us and the server was amazing. The whole family had a blast playing games and racking up points. At the end of it all I would definitely recommend Dave and Busters and will be returning!

Loaded a card with credits and let the kids run wild they had a blast while me and my lady hung out in the dining area. They played all the games and had credits left, really cool. Ordered Cantina nachos and they were drowned in nacho cheese. Now, I'm a person that enjoys a lot of cheese and I was like? this is too much cheese. Waitress attentive to a fault. I mean she check on us every single time she passed by, which was like every 3-5 minutes. A bit smothering. The dining room was super cold but my bigge

Went for the games, wish I could?ve tried the food but maybe next time also they have MARIO KART. Literally all I went for. I love it here

The only complaint I have is that some of the games you do not get much tickets for even if you win and you have no idea how much your going to win until you win, the prizes that are for small ticket amounts are like dollar store toys that you could go buy for a 1$ and then the bigger toys that are 1,000 tickets or more are things that you could also just go buy at the store for less than you would spend playing their games. You also can't load anything on the car less than 20$. Other than that the food is

Came for the first time, waited 45 minutes to be seated, which was fine my grandkids were playing the games. My Philly cheese steak sandwich wasn't very good, really dry . My grandson's pizza was hard bread with sauce on top. My granddaughters chicken alfredo was good and so was my husband's burger. Total ticket price...not impressed Might try another day, hope the food will be better next time

Sonny and Emily are the best! Sonny was an amazing server, Emily checked on us multiple times and made sure we were good. Victoria and Kay were amazing also, checking on us every time they got! Will be coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision.
