Reviews Summary

Dave & Buster's in Islandia offers a mix of experiences, with many praising the fun atmosphere, diverse games, and attentive staff, particularly managers who enhance visits. Food receives mixed reviews—some find it delicious, while others report issues like poor quality or service delays. Happy hour deals and half-price Wednesdays are highlights. Customer Reviews

A few friends and I had an fun Saturday night at Dave & Buster?s Islandia. We enjoyed fresh and tasty burgers, wings, and chicken strips. Despite being busy, there were plenty of games to play for all ages, thanks to their recent renovations. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, making great recommendations. The place felt safe with lots of staff and security around. Overall, a fantastic experience we highly recommend!

Dan Frye is a great guy! Anna at the bar is so awesome. Super friendly, sold us one of the best deals for when we come back later with our buddies Social bay is the way to go to have a great time later with our friends. We are so excited! Thank you Dan and Anna for the great suggestions

My basketball team had a amazing experience at Dave and Busters Islandia. We were able to have our awards ceremony in the vip room which created the perfect environment for our event. the staff was amazing and we can't wait to visit again.

Aside from the place being almost empty the service was terrible and they add 20% gratuity to the check after they don't give you a server they make you get up and go the the bar to wake the for food and drinks and the bartenders are nowhere to be found and the expect you to tip 20% on a check and they do absolutely nothing and the place was empty. So bad that no matter how much they remodeled the place and they were more focus on the service they maybe and just maybe people would return cause I would not.

I've been coming here for over 20 years. My son's 28 now and has had 9 party's there. Including his 21st birthday in the ballroom. We come sometimes just because and he comes with his friends. He loves this place! This place has truly evolved over the years. With a continuously amazingly fun experience year after year!

We absolutely LOVED mark! He is so very sweet and attentive. Brought our food and drinks super quick. He's a real hoot! We will DEFINITELY come back here!!

Went with some friends for his birthday. Had a blast and ate some delicious food. Server was attentive as well. I would highly recommend.

We had such a great time at Dave & Buster's. Food and atmosphere were great. We were greeted by Daniel at the front and he helped explain all the ins and outs of how everything works here and all the different gaming and dining options. Great management. Will definitely be back!

Wouldn't recommend eating there if ur expecting some good food, but the pizza and nachos (tho they were stingy with the toppings) were good. My family and I had a fun time playing the games, though. The VR game (which was $6) was fun, too.

It's always a great time here. The restaurant has a variety of food and drink. The food is delicious. And then it's time to play some games. There are plenty of free parking spots available.

This was the best Dave& Busters I have ever been too. From the start workers greeted our party with several drinks. When we walked into the game and prizes areas I don't think I've ever seen that many games. It was crazy and there were also so many prizes. Like I said we were with a party so they brought platters of food and the pig in a blanket they had was so good. Staff was helpful and changed the game when we asked them too. Easily the best Dave and Busters I've been too.

I really appreciate great customer service. My daughter lost her cell phone and we were frantically looking for it but couldn't find it. I spoke with Dan and he took my information down and assured me that he would give me a call if it was found. After about an hour or so, he called me. His level of professionalism as well and his staff was top tier. Everyone was so helpful. We are truly appreciative. Outside of the lost cell phone, we had a great time there with the kids during spring break.

Found up puking my guts out at 3 AM from some "suspicious" garlicy tasting tartar on my fish and chips. Sadly, my daughter who had initially altered me to the funky sauce, also got ill but to a much less degree since she only had a tiny bit. And the "unlimited" game card and dinner deal? Not so unlimited. In fact, very limited. I'd say a cap of 1500 tickets and a mandatory 20 second interval between card swipes is most certainly "limited". Definitely not meant to share, that's for sure. Place is shady, al

It was a fun time with my kids. Our server Alysia was professional, attentive and knowledgeable. And the food? The food was delicious! Those juicy burgers, gooey cheese stack, nice boneless coated oh so well honey bbq wings, and last but not least their crunchy but yet juicy chicken strips!!! Drooling thinking of it. For a Sunday it wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be and the games were always available when we were ready to play. Fun, clean and updated atmosphere.

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most poorly managed dining experiences I've had. We had a reservation for 6:00 PM for two adults and one child. We arrived at 5:30 to play some games and checked in with the hostess at 5:58. We were seated promptly, and we were told our server had been notified. Despite this, we sat at a visibly dirty table for 20 minutes without any service, while the waitress tended to multiple tables that were seated after us. When she eventually approached at 6:20, she claime

Food was fresh and delicious. Staff were so polite. Beer was cold ????

They've changed up their arcade floor to include more visual and physical interaction gaming. They've always been good for their late night fun. It's good to see they're adapting and making new updates.

food and games for 20$. Great deal. 100% gonna come back again. Highlight of the night was guitar hero. Gotta play reptilla or the metal. There was some renovation but I couldn't find the ski ball?. I might have missed it I will check back. Great place, has been for a while now. Thanks!

We went on a Saturday morning for my sons birthday. Just a family lunch not a full on birthday party. The waitress was nice and the food was served promptly. It was pretty good. Disappointing that they no longer have the deals where you can order food and get play cards for the kids. The kids had fun playing the games. One issue that was concerning was the fact that they only have one bathroom which is all the way in the back corner of the game room. It was very difficult for my father, who had a disability

The service is friendly, and the staff is generally attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The combination of great food, games, and the energetic atmosphere makes Dave & Buster's a top-tier spot for a fun-filled day or night out. Overall, Dave & Buster's is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a casual but exciting time, whether you're out for dinner, fun, or both

First time back in many years! The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and friendly. It would be nice to see a few more games geared to little kids and more options for prizes that aren't so high in ticket exchange. We were short a few points and my 6 year old nephew was so disappointed, but the gentleman helping us was so kind, he used his own card and covered the points we were short! It made his day! If you want to get the most for your tokens, go on a Wednesday! They offer half off. We went through

An Unforgettable Experience at Dave & Buster's Islandia Dave & Buster's in Islandia, Long Island, is an extraordinary destination that redefines what a night out should be, combining endless fun with a lively atmosphere and top-notch service. My wife and I have made countless memories here, and it remains one of our favorite date spots, especially around Valentine?s Day. From the moment you walk into Dave & Buster's, you're greeted by a vibrant and electric atmosphere. The sheer variety of games available

We have 2 teen boys. We have always loved D&B's and we go for fun and birthdays. They re did the place and it's better and nicer. The updated menu is great too.

It's always fun this place is fairly clean. The service is always good. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Wednesday is half price, so it's the day to play. Also, check out the food and play combos. Do your homework and work the deals. Have fun. I visited the Islandia location.

Clean and a safe environment for all. Plenty of staff and security to oversee your stay. Cards are tap and there's plenty of games and entertainment. Food and bar are available as well as corporate/event space. I recommend buying a value package to maximize your purchase.

What a experience! Disgusting! My daughter ordered Mac and Cheese and so did my son! His was warm hers was FROZEN! Her spoon was used and crusted. This was served. The manager came over and took off their meal. I was so/so about that! I still gave another order (salad) to get home to nastiness. Never again $115 of finger foods that tasted like garbage! I got the salad to go and look at it.

Pretty good selection of games. A few were broken but most in good condition. A little pricey for playing games but fun for date night or family. Wednesday is half price games. Restaurant is pretty good too.

Ordered my wings crispy they wasent 7/10

Good for drinks and games on TV. Food was ok. Bathrooms were disgusting. Sure you can blame the people using it, but I'm sure they pay someone to clean it. I guess that's a once a day thing. We had a 45 minute to 1 hour wait for a table. It wasn't that busy. Just a scheme to get us to spend money playing games or on drinks I'm sure. When my group of 4 adults and 4 kids were finally seated, they put us at a table with a small lake of soda, water and other unknown fluids under and around the table. It wasn't

The manager Daniel and our server Tom were phenomenal. Very attentive and the food was great. We are definitely coming back!

The staff and services is great, great games to choose from, and great place for kids. This is a great family place to come and have fun. Great family game night as well.

Went for lunch with my two daughters, and three for their cousins... There were seven of us in total. The service was very slow considering they sat us all the way in the back (not an issue) of the dining area and there were no other patrons in that section at that time. Once we got or order taken the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was good, all the kids enjoyed their chicken tenders and fries ?? I thoroughly enjoyed the Fish and chips... It was a much larger filet than I expected a

One of the best D&Bs this side of Long Island. Drinks were amazing, bartender was very kind. the food was out of this world, well prepared better than most restaurants around. Place wasn't too crowded. They are under construction right now so it's only going to look better.

Food and service was great. The place is newly renovated and very clean. Dan the manager is excellent to deal with, and the game room a lot of fun.

Food was good but the angry waitress got our order wrong 3 times. And we even had a dish missing that was never served. My son and I were in an excellent mood and were super polite and friendly, the waitress just hated everyone with a scowl on her face all evening. Games afterward were as expected. I wish it was a better experience on his special day. The employees in the prize section were 10/10 though- great people.

Sorry to say, but never have we experienced what we did last night. Me and the wife came in at 7:30 pm ish for some drinks and a meal. We get seated by the host and waited like 20 minutes to see waiter. Came and apologized for the wait, started taking our drink order and started walking away as he's taking it. I asked for mojitos and was trying to ask for shots. He forgot my wife BBq sauce which there was a up charge for, which he removed. My wife mojotos was all club sode/seltzer, had to ask for more syrup

Took my nephew for the first time and we had a blast playing basketball ?? connect four ,then got down on some halo then we raced did some axe throwing then we ate and went home.. awesome place to take the family

My kids had fun with the game, but the prices and points system are outrageous and rigged. I will not be returning. We'll stick to Chuck E. Cheese, at least the pizza there is good. None of us were impressed. We didn't really touch the food nor want to take it home. I will say if you're looking to get wasted and spend money, it's a great place to go.

My child had a birthday here (party of 25)and the food was beyond horrible everyone in my party agreed. I suggest you eat somewhere else before you go. It's not that the food was hot it just tasted very low quality. Never will eat here again but the games I will play and or drink.

Fun for adults and kids. Lots of games, TV. Personally I was disappointed with the food choices but otherwise we had a Great time.

We had so much fun! I came to town from Florida to visit my adult Son. We played games won prizes and had a great time!

Zero stars if I could. The games are sad, most worked, but there were a significant number broken and "working" or just not working at all. I played the star wars VR, lightsaber training, the right controller just didn't work. It kept freezing during play. The ghost busters game- one of the guns was completely broken, like, it could have been removed, still able to play... We decided to stop wasting money on the games and go get food. Oh boy.. OUR WAITER IS STONED!!??!! How do I know he's stoned? I'm aller

Great experience!! My nephew just beat cancer and our first visit once he rung the bell was to dave and busters..daniel the assistant general manager was a boss and treated him so nicely i was truly touched.. amanda the sales manager and the entire dinning staff were great! Thank you so much

I would rather drive to another than come here again, forget the construction, the inside of the place is falling apart. Bathroom was flooded, no atm in the building during a rainstorm, I'm 4?9? so I need to move up the seat for the racing games, all of them were broken! The scan pads were all messed up. Not comparable to the other locations. Not coming back (and I live to the east)

I recently celebrated my son's 10th birthday with family and friends, the place has a friendly and attentive staff, the food was OK and the kids had a lot of fun on their expansive and diverse game floor which is the main reason why we chose D&B and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend it.

Clean. Great atmosphere. Huge place compared to others I've gone to. Will go again.

It's was a good experience. We were here as part of a party. Servers were pleasant and readily available. Food was ok, typical bar food, but flavorful. The kids had play cards and even won 1,000 tickets from one game. On the bar side, good food, drinks were good, sports everywhere on screens of many sizes. Bartender was pleasant and made drinks well. Would return here again, but before the night rush hits.

Gotta say, I come here with my son. He loves the games and the overall atmosphere! We went today like normal. Got his tickets in and then we went into the shop & he got his prizes. Decided to get food, asked to be sat down & then the dilemma started. Asked for a manger and Ronnie or Ronny ( didn't get the correct spelling ) this manger/supervisor was a true testament to customer service. Speak to people with respect and they respect you back, he listened and took initiative. Treated my son with respect and

The revamped (it had been 6 years) D&Bs is perfect for when you want to have good food and some fun.

Daniel Frey was one of the nicest people I met in a place like this. He made it a point to come up to me a few times and ask if everything was ok and if I needed anything. I've been to a few places like this over the years and have to say I never have had a manager make sure my family and I were having a good time. The customer service we had was top notch . Plus they are under construction and I was thinking it wasn't going to be a good time but my family and I were very happy with our visit. We will defi

Sat at the bar while my son was hanging with his friends. Grabbed myself a drink and some wings. Service was fast and the bar staff was very attentive. My drink was fantastic believe it was called "Henny's Nirvana" . Wings and truffle fries were equally as delicious.

In the span of an hour, we had to ask for a technician multiple times because there was an issue of some sort with pretty much every game we played. There shouldn't be an issue if you're playing solo or even as a couple, but be careful thinking you'll get to play as a group

I came to eat and had a pleasant time. Great service and wonderful food at D&B rounded off a wonderful visit to Islandia, New York! The grilled salmon is awesome.

It's Dave and Busters! Eat, play and have fun. Last time I was there, there was construction going on but it didn't interfere with any time spent there. Whatcha doing there, D&B? ?? Food and service was great. Waitress was extremely kind and attentive.

Read fine print on winter pass Weekend starts Friday at 5 4 according to manager. And they're are blackout dates. I know it's on me to read but twice now I've come and pass is no good.

One of our friends came back from overseas for a few weeks and naturally we chose DnB for our welcome back get together, 10/10 always works for birthdays, chill days, welcome back, or even good luck. Whatever gathering you'll have a guaranteed amazing time for you and your crew

Ty is the best bartender ever!! On top of everything at the bar. Never had a wait for a drink. He is always friendly with the biggest smile. The manager Dan came over made sure we were having a great time. He was very personable and made us laugh. Even know they are going throw a remodel the service did not lack. If you are looking for a place to go and have a great time, I highly recommend Dave n Busters in Islandia.

The food is delicious my favorite food it the pretzle dogs and the breken burger, as for games they made a new game called arcade i definitely recommend it, i enjoyed it with my friends on my birthday and we have laughs

It was a nice time- we celebrated a birthday, party of 8. The food was good, the drinks were strong. Two people in our group have shellfish allergies, however the servers were great with accommodations. It wasn't very busy which was good. Definitely a great time

Another Dave & Buster's for regular relaxing. Order the seasonal beer, mozzarella bruschetta and Korean style ribs. Great food though the ribs are little salty.

Omg, horrible. I ordered Creole Shrimp dip, so salty and look at the oil on the bottom. We sat at the bar and the bartender did not know anything about the drinks and the drinks taste like juice. I prefer going to the one in Garden City instead of this one in Islandia.

Great spot for family and friends. Good selection of food and drinks plus game room. My kinda place????????

They are currently renovating so it's in the process. I like it here but it seems like they understaff. Hard to find someone to help you and service is a bit slow. Workers don't seem happy to be working there. Maybe they should consider more staff or maybe they don't treat staff well.

The service was fast and delicious. I would come back and the new games were really fun and entertaining.

Had great service, great company, and great food! Cauliflower wings were great! And the GIANT pretzel was just that GIANT and delicious! Both sauces were banging! Highly recommended next time! We will be back! ????

Restaurant area recently remodeled. The food was good. Similar to the old menu. Service was good.

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM MOMENT WE WALKED IN. TOOK OUR GRANDCHILDREN OUT FOR FUN AND GAMES GREAT CHOICES FOR GAMIING OPTIONS FOR THE CHILDREN. WE ORDERED MANY DELICIOUS AND FUN OPTIONS FOR THE CHILDREN AND FOR THE ADULTS OUR WAITER WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPASSIONATE. HE TOOK CARE OF ALL OUR ORDERS AND NEEDS IN A TIMELY MANNER .WE TOTALLY ENJOYED THE GREAT FAMILY ATMOSPHERE FELT SAFE AND THE CHILDREN WERE ABLE TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL TIME SAFELY .I WOULD RECOMMEND DAVE AND BUSTERS TO E EVERYONE SEEING TO

3 because we got a appitizer and received no utensils then waited about 20 minutes to order the rest of our order. The pictures below is a expected then the reality or what we got. It was still good though.

Our server Tom was amazing!??The whole crew, including Alba and managers Dan and John, were absolutely incredible! Definitely had a birthday night out to remember!??Can't say enough wonderful things about the service & food. Love the Islandia D&B!??

This is truly the best Dave and Busters. We choose the islandian location over Westbury because we've always had a great experience. The food tonight was amazing --and the happy hour drinks are such a good value. Most importantly the managers circulate often through the restaurant and the playing space. We got to Know Dan on tonight's visit and I cannot say enough kind things about him. He engaged the kids and adults and really ensured my children had a great experience. Even the baby!!! Cannot thank thi

We went there for my cousin's birthday. We were about 13 of us and the woman at the counter said if we all want to sit together it would be over an hour and a half. This makes no sense as there were many empty tables in other sections. Not wanting to wait I went to the bar and grabbed 2 seats for me and my wife and was basically ignored for 5 minutes. They were not that busy. A girl finally asked if we wanted a drink and we said yes and menus please as we wanted to order food. I got one of the specialty

The food there is great. The service is amazing, once you get a table for you and your friends, the waiters would come in get you set up.

I love it there, lots of fun. It could be more fun if there were more VR games aimed toward the older crowd, (Not 6 -12)

First time there I was overwhelmed by the shear excitement of the company I was with who played the dance off game. Since they are open till 2am I decided to bring my son and his girlfriend ( from Germany). They had a blast.

Had I nice time but the servers weren't particularly doing there jobs they seemed to disappear more then attend the tables. We thought at one point our server went home? Waited over a hour for food and we where one of three tables in the whole dinning area.

I was here for a birthday party, about 16 adults and 4 children. The Waiter and Waitress were AMAZING, very attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. The recommendations they made were great. Took care of us, and everyone received the correct food at perfect temperature The atmosphere here was AWESOME!!! The games were fun to play, and there were so many different things to choose from. Great for adults and children. All employees here we very nice and helpful. They have self-service stations for the D&B

Our server was fantastic, really helped with three young children. Everyone loves being there and the arcade is mind-blowing. Their menu uses to inclde a few healthier options. I hope they will add them back in.

I've had mixed reviews over the years, but they seem to be improving overall. Daniel, the assistant general manager went above and beyond to help when we had an issue.

Great place. Service has been been awesome and accommodating for children. I like their policy, children and teens need to be accompanied by and adult because it's basically a bar and arcade. Food is good, it's close to Applebee's but the menu is small but enough selections. I would recommend D&B for drinking, watching a game with friends then arcade. I visit here every few weeks.

We (party of 3) arrived at 12pm on a Sunday for lunch. The place was absolutely empty. There were 5 workers chatting in the "greeting" section. When we approached them to be seated, none of them wanted to take us to a table. They were all looking at each other upset because we had interrupted their chat. Finally, one of the guys said, "Fine, I'll take them." I could have understood if it was 9pm, after a long day of work, but the place was empty, and we were the first ones there.

We celebrated our son?s 11th birthday party today. The staff were amazing! Especially our party host and server, who were on top of things to make sure that our guests were well taken care of. The food was also amazing! Thank you for making my son?s birthday a memorable one. Would definitely recommend having a party here!!

Came down with a group of people, Ty the man was on the bar. He is always smiling and on top of my party. We never had to wait for a drink. We had a great time hanging and joking with Ty.

Ima regular here Love coming here food drinks food games all in one Managers are very friendly and always come over and say hello

Recently went to Dave & Buster?s Islandia for a networking event through Discover Long Island. This location is huge! So much hidden space available for parties, business occasions and more. There was also lots of space between the games which I liked, it made the space seem less crowded. Every manager I met was wonderful! The food was pretty good, your basic appetizers which were perfect for a networking event. Staff was attentive and kept the place super clean. We also got lots of coupons to come back an

I'm personally not into the limited or lack of real arcade games, but this is a great play date for kids. Expect to spend $ the $60 card is decent. Food is ok nothing to write home about.

They had people working while people playing the games were not working right. The manager seemed annoyed when we asked a question about te season pass

Food was ok, the buffalo chicken wings was warm and dry, looks like they mopped the sauce on the wings prior to coming out. All American cheeseburger was decent, except for the old raggedy piece of lettuce sitting on top of the burger. The Long Island ice tea was the winner of the night, super sour and hardly any liquor. The lemon in my drink still had the sticker on the lemon.

James is a great customer service attendant. He made our first time experience a blast. James was very attentive and informative of the variety of games which would be suitable for my children. It's very rare that there are people with phenomenal work ethic such as James displayed on a busy Friday . I look forward to coming back & enjoying these amazing games with my family.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers.
