Dave & Buster's Hilliard

Dave & Buster's Hilliard

Reviews Summary

Dave & Buster's receives mixed reviews, with many praising the fun atmosphere, well-maintained games, and friendly staff, especially for group outings or special occasions. However, food quality and service are inconsistent—some enjoy the burgers and appetizers, while others find meals overpriced, greasy, or served cold. Slow service is a frequent complaint, even on less busy nights. Families appreciate the entertainment value, but several note broken games or unclear pricing. High costs are mentioned often, though some feel the experience justifies the expense. Negative experiences often stem from poor service or unmet expectations. Overall, it’s seen as a good spot for games and drinks, but dining experiences vary widely.

Customer Reviews

The games are fun and there are a good amount to choose from. The food and service wasn't great. We had to wait at least 10 min for the host to come sit us down and then another 20 min for our server to come take our order. They weren't very busy so I'm not sure why everything took so long. This was my first time trying the food here and it was alright but nothing I would go back to get. Honestly I would recommend just going for the games and skipping the food overall.

It costs a fortune, a lot of the games didn't work and the ones that did were pretty lame, the food was greasy and bland, and it was hard to get any service. I don't know how they stay in business. I can think of a lot of better ways to blow $100 per person in about an hour and a half, but at least it wasn't crowded.

First timers, around 1pm was a 25 min wait, no issue we got to play while we waited. Took actually 45 mins for a table for 4. We got drinks pretty fast menu had loads of options. Our waitress informed me that we couldn't do any upgrades that was offered due to I ordered the play an eat on the kiosk. Her service was very lacking. I being new I ask alot of questions usually was having a hard time getting any answers from her from menu options to refills. I snagged a passing employee Antwan he turned our trip

Very fun games spent probably 7 hours there plus we didn't have to stop and go somewhere else just to eat to come back... the human crane was a pretty cool feature being your own hook on a GIGANTIC claw machine

Cardinal Bus Line has their 25th Anniversary party there. I hadn't had that much fun in years. The owner is a Top Tier kinda employer.

We came all the way from Chicago and decided to stop at Dave & Buster?s for a fun break. The games were enjoyable, but the dining experience completely ruined the visit. Our server was incredibly inattentive ? he took our order and then disappeared for what felt like 30 minutes at a time. Not once did he check on us after we received our food. Our appetizer was missing and didn't arrive until we had already finished eating. No apologies, no explanation, and no refills were ever offered. It felt like we wer

We came in with a group of 7 kids, thinking we were going to be purchasing a lunch special. This special was discontinued, despite being told via phone that it was available. The manager, Ryan Erbe, gave us a great offer and made a stressful time much better! We ended up spending 4 hours playing games and eating lunch. We have been here many times, but never spent more than 2 hours here. He made our visit AMAZING! The kids had a great time and were exhausted. I have no words for how much we appreciated Ry

Went for a birthday party. They were not busy at all when we got there. There were 15 to 20 of us that ordered food. I understand that is a lot to cater to. But it took almost an hour for us to get our food. When they finally brought the food, not everyone got what they ordered. So that took even longer. Some liked their food, but the majority did not finish their meals and were not happy with the quality. After dinner, we all went to the gaming area. The games were the best part. But there was a pretty st

Came Last Minute For my daughter?s birthday due to weather messing up our other plans and the whole team made the experience amazing, especially Melissa. Even though it was short notice for them it was as if we planned it everything was amazing and went perfectly without a question or hiccup Melissa helped and was constantly making sure we had everything we needed and helped with cleanup. Really amazing. Food was hot and my Kids really enjoyed it. Staff was Great Big thanks for making my daughters first bir

Yo Justin the manager is Amazing he truly took care of us. He went the extra mile to make sure that we could enjoy the boxing fight that way it was meant to be enjoyed.

We went as a party of 7 on a Saturday evening. We had a blast. The food was great, as always. Our server was excellent and the food was delivered quickly. We played games for about two hours. We ended our evening in the arena. The ladies working the arena were helpful and really encouraged the kids. We had a great time and we'll definitely be back.

Extremely slow service , wasn't a busy night at all. Took forever to get a table and then to get the food and bill was over an hour.

This location is absolutely a decent D&B with various game machines, large party rooms, big screens and clean dining areas. My girlfriend and I spent a great after-lunch time around Monday noon here. There are not too many ppl during weekdays, but all the machines and screens are lightened and ready to play. It must cost a lot of power. It also has a great game day vibe. Service is always good. WiFi is available.

The remodeling was done very well. Our group of ten was very satisfied with the portions and quality of the food. The games were great and all of them seemed to working, no out of order signs. We will definitely be back.

My kid loved doing the human claw ? we paid $100 to load her card but that didn't cover this ride I had to ask 4 different employees how to pay for her to do this and none of them knew until I got to a manager - food was okay ? my pasta dish was like $25 and I thought that was a bit much kid had fun

We didn't get food but we did hang out in the arcade and spent some time in the arena and the arena is DEFINITELY worth the money!!!

We came here for a birthday party. Overall, it was fun for the children, but it was stressful for the parents. They did not have our party table ready when we arrived 10 minutes early to set up. The service was very slow and scattered. We had to ask about our food and hunt down silverware. The food is pretty mediocre. Some of the games were out of order. I will say the children enjoyed the atmosphere and really liked the human claw attraction! The workers at the ticket/prize checkout were really nice and we

We didn't eat this time around, but the games and people were nice, didn't have any broken games, we spent $194 and got 2 rides for the human crane, 3 gaming cards, and 9k worth of tickets at the end. Kids had fun, me and my spouse had fun. Good times. And they also have gluten free food options on their menu.

Everything took a little longer than expected. The food was good, but the fries were ice cold. That burger was amazing. The new interactive darts and games are really cool.

Took our mom out for her birthday on 9-28. She loves playing dart games, and our family is very competitive, so it was a blast. We were able to have our room for 2 hours, and the waitress took very good care of our group. Recommend this experience.

We decided to try out the ?new? Dave and Busters. Less than 10 people playing games and drinks cups on most of the tables on the game floor. Bartender asked us if we really wanted the garnish for our drinks because she would have to go in the back to get them. Games were broken and prize room was lacking for sure. We were there for over an hour during the week. I'm being generous with 2 stars Definitely a bust.

The food was average. Our server was fantastic. The redesign was a success in my opinion. The atmosphere was fun and positive. There were a few computer issues where the correct amount of tickets weren't awarded, but that's nitpicking.

Too many servers walking around. We nearly got up and walked out after waiting a while to get drinks ordered. Finally someone came. Appetizers were over cooked and burnt on the bottom. No plates for them until we nearly finished them then they brought plates for them. Needs some management. Too many people walking around doing nothing. Pretty disappointing after the restaurant was recommended to us

For those local to the area, this one is much better than Polaris, which is fine, but this one is huge with plenty of room between games and a lot to do. Open areas so you aren't just bumping into everyone all the time. Lots of TVs to watch whatever sport is going on.

Awesome customer service. And the manager was really nice and in tune. I brought my special needs participants with me and they were all treated with respect. We come here once a month and every time it's a wonderful experience I would recommend this location to anyone.

I would not recommend this place I recently was considering going here for the new years eve event they were having and so before buying some tickets which were showing a cost online of $81 without 2 drinks and $101 with 2 drinks I wanted to check the place out and ask some questions so I drove over. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot I saw the sign was missing and there was alot of construction and its kinda in a tucked away sketchy area which is really sad. I thought maybe it will be better inside. I

Judging just for myself and my likes and age I wouldn't pick here. With that said for my grandchildren this was a big hit because they like video games and these are on a very large scale. The grandchildren thought this place was the best so I gave it higher marks than I usually would.

It seemed like they completely turned the air off in the gaming area. Everybody was sweating, half of the games didn't work because of the new scanners they had for the games and for the ones that did work they only operated at half the pace they should have been. Also, somehow, a double Jack and Coke and the dangerous water's punch was only $13. But then my wife and I got 2 Jack and Coke's that equal to $20.

Drove a little over an hour and arrived at around 4 p.m. today. It was 82 degrees outside. It was oppressively hot inside. My wife has major health and breathing issues so we had to leave without being able to do much. I couldn't handle the heat either to be honest. Also, many games were unfortunately down. We ended up going to Chuck E. Cheese.

This is my fav Dave & Busters to come to! The location is kind of far from me but it's always worth the drive. The bar has amazing drinks and the fried pickles are fantastic! So crunchy and a bit spicy ?? the games are always so fun! I always have a good time when I come. The staff is also very awesome and sweet!

If I could give zero stars, I would. We arrived at 5:30 PM and didn't finish our meal until 8:00 PM?an absolutely ridiculous wait for mediocre food that was barely edible. The seating arrangement made no sense, and to top it off, our receipt was completely wrong. The service was painfully slow, the food was disappointing, and the whole experience was a waste of time and money. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values its customers. We ended up leaving before even playing any game

This D&B is so nice!! The games are top notch, it's clean and everything is new. I've been to a few events there as well and they have several large areas to rent. The staff is so nice and helpful too!

We really enjoyed Dave & Buster's Hilliard. The atmosphere was very family-friendly. Their facility was clean, the staff were courteous and professional, and their service was timely. I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends.

Came here to play the new interactive ?squid? game with my cosplay group and it didn't disappoint! It was so much fun and we played multiple rounds. I will say that the machines glitched a little bit but staff was very quick to come and assist us to get us back to gaming. It was also very well maintained/clean.

Recently visited the Hilliard location for a teenage birthday celebration. We were informed by our waitress, Dave and Buster doesn't do anything for a birthday person. We accepted that and had our dinner. During our dinner, the table behind us was greeted with a lit candle and song celebration for a birthday guest. Then time to pay came, our table of six was charged the bill of a table of 14 ( directly behind us). We brought the over charge to the waitress?s attention, and hour later of waiting to speak to

It's so disappointing because this place is not cheap for food or games. When you come in, the hostess at the counter are on their phones. They'll help you but not initiate it and kind anniyed you interrupted their phone time. When we sat down to eat, we were all served our foods at different times, so we didn't eat as a family. Irritated because we waited 45-1 hour for our food just for it to be warm. Waitress wasn't really attentive. We had to call here every time we needed something, not like she's comin

The most fun and amazing place to be with friends, family, or take someone on a date ?? I come here at least 3 days a week and it never gets old!

There are a row of tables by the beer taps in the gaming area that do not have any "Reservation Only" signage on them. After sitting for quite a while, a group of people arrived at the table next to us and were greeted by a server and their orders were taken. My father-in-law went to the bar to inquire about service and a server came out and took he and my mother-in-law's order. While waiting for their food to arrive, an employee came to the table and told us that the table was reserved seating and that we

The bartenders and the staff that maintains the games are excellent. Also the most FIRE quesadillas ive EVER had. Mind the spicy chips though. I almost did. (Would've been worth it though )

We went during the course of a car show walked around didn't play any games but did have a light meal. The place looks nice after remodel and our waiter/bartender did a great job. The food was actually better than I was expecting we had pot stickers and the barbacoa quesadilla, there was plenty of beef and cheese in the quesadilla but it did lack a little flavor and heat but it was alright, the chicken pot stickers had more flavor and a nice crunchy garlic garnish on top..

This place is so much fun! No matter what age you are there is something here for you. They have coin pushers, arcade axe throwing game, human claw machine, actual claw machines, VR Studio, skee ball, basketball, and shooting games. The prize area is always filled with so many prizes and the food here is good and not overly priced.

We didn't come to play any games only to grab a bite & watch the game. I'm giving 2 stars because I feel u have to set your expectations when going to a place like this for food otherwise I would have given 1 star. The food was actually better than I thought it would be. We had guacamole & chips & cheese sticks as appetizers & the bacon smash burgers & fries for meals. All were decent, the burger was actually very tasty. The issue I had was the service & our server. He was pleasant when he first came to us

The reason I didnt give them 5 stars is.. 1. I wish all the games had been available to play and I wish the cards and coins were explained better for people who have never been there before (like me)... and 2. Their food is pretty pricey and pretty terrible with hardly a selection. There wasnt 1 thing food wise that was enjoyable and between me, my daughter and best friend there was plenty to try. Other than that I really had a nice time, the bathrooms were clean, Covid policies were displayed amd they had

All in all we had a really good time. Party of 12 for a 12 year old boys birthday. Reservation made weeks prior to arrival. A little hectic when we first got there. The girls at the front couldn't locate the reservation we made with Emily W, the D&B party planner. I will say you all need a second bathroom located in the front of the building and the building needs to be more handicap accessible. My father who recently had spinal surgery came as he would not miss his grandsons birthday. He was using a walke

Yeah everything was great but I had a full good card with about 250 credits and within the span of 4 games I was down 248 when I asked to see what I played they coldly responded with the time stamps were within 30 seconds apart and they didn't do anything so great service and good but games suck

I was at bar friday night and got me some wings went with my cousin and he got a burger next thing a roach was on the water of a drink asked for manager the manager Justin come looking at us like we should explain what's going on and he was already told there was a roach then had the. Erve to say that they sprayed yesterday abd now they are going crazy what type of explanation is that then goes to give us 2 25 game cards no gift cards nothing. This place was disgusting and down right rude he just apologized

Went to a birthday party there and it was fun, very spacious with a lot of seating options very clean with a lot of parking space?Good bartenders, delicious foods and cocktails fast service? My only problem is the fact that the bathroom wasn't clean but I understand that cause it's a lot of kids going in and out from it.

Went to the Hilliard location for our sons birthday. We had an issue with recharging one of our cards. The staff was AMAZING. Not only where they helpful and resolved our problem quickly, they went the extra mile to make our sons birthday special. Recommend!

Took two hours to get my son lemonade add a birthday party. It took our food even longer our pizza kept being given away to other parties instead of being brought to our table for the birthday that was reserved, so yeah, don't waste your money.

We had a great time, and our waitress Missy was on her game today. We were blessed to have her! ??????

Honestly a dope experience. A little on the expensive side. Especially when today was supposed to be 50% of on Wednesdays. But family had a great time.

Came in around 3:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. Not too busy considering its Christmas Vacation for the kids. Food was great. Lots of games to choose from for all ages. Lots of options on the drink menu.

I came in and was seated in a high traffic area. We asked out server if we could just moved over a few tables. He said he would have someone move us. We sat there for half an hour while the server walked past us over and over again, ignoring us. We finally just decided to leave. We had already spent $50 on game cards but we just took the loss on left because the experience was completely ruined. Maybe my niece and nephew can use the cards. Such a disappointment, I will never return.

Fun for all ages. Great place to feel like a kid again. Food was good. Their cocktails are nicely made with some impactful flavors. Nice staff. Parking available near the main entrance.

Great time with our kids. It's gotten a little pricier but still reasonable. We enjoyed the new Jurassic VR and it wasn't too crowded. Only negative was that bathrooms were like mid-renovation and there were no changing tables/stations in either men or women?s bathrooms.

I would like to thank the general Manager Antwan P. For taking care of my family and I. Justin the supervisor for giving us a great experience tonight. He made sure we had everything we needed. They welcomed us with welcoming arms due to a small discrepancy from a previous visit. Thank you to the server Naiomi for the great service. This place is so much fun and my daughter enjoyed her 5th bday. We will be back again .

For the price they charge they only had one guy walking around. Many of the games malfunction, and you lose your money. The one guy can't help everyone when the games malfunction. And the ticket count was way low than it should have been.

Got the Flatbread it was sooo good and tasty definitely getting it again. Also got Strawberry Watermelon Margarita on servers recommendation and love it! My friend got the Frose version and liked it. Overall fun and great experience. I will say the games area is really loud and I don't remember other D&B being that loud but all in all amazing experience. Can't remember the name of the server, the receipt says Lil Waugh, she was soo helpful and informative ?? thank you

Food was as expected, service was better than average, the absence of Pre-COVID HAND SANITATION stations is a fail. This is a public hands on activity center with no cleaning cloths, wipes, or persons cleaning gaming surfaces. The potential for commutable disease and viruses passing to all persons is high. Pink Eye, Flu, Colds, infections, etc. I didn't feel safe. There used be several stands or wall mounted sanitizer and an attendant wiping surfaces. Complete community failure. Irresponsible to the comm

Great food really good waiters too! The lemon pepper seasoning was great too which is hard to come by. Kyle our bartender went above and beyond as well. Had a lot of fun convos with us and was attentive to all of the customers as well. Helped us with understanding the drink menu and food options as well!

The website says that they open at 11 am. The doors were unlocked, and there was a young man in the lobby cleaning the glass on the kiosks, and there were three people behind a counter looking at us as if to say; what are you old people doing here? It was our first, and last experience at a Dave &Busters. Prices on the kiosks were different from the website, and once I read that I had to pay a $3 activation fee to get a card to load credits on, I'd seen enough. Don't patronize this rip off joint.

I went to speak to the Event Planner, Mackenzie...she was awesome. This location is clean, spacious, and the architecture details are beautiful. The games are current and exclusive to Dave and Busters. They use reloadable cards. The food was good. I had the chicken taco with nachos. Very flavorful. I recommend this place.

The remodel of this place is Awesome. It is now a place I would want to come and hang out with my adult friends and not just my children! The "arena" was super cool but the attendant wasn't very talkative and we kind of had to figure it out on our own, but WELL worth 10$ for 30 minutes, a total steal!!!!! Food was better than was been before the renodel ( we visit often) Still in serious need of staff it seemed. But all in all a beautiful venue with lots of cool game options

I love Dave and Busters, and this location is never busy. It's also probably the biggest in the metropolitan area. Great happy hour deals. Well maintained games and friendly staff.

my date and I come to this location often to watch sports. Service is usually excellent. Not tonight. I just sat at the bar for 20 minutes. Had 3 servers look me in the eye. And never said a word to me. I will not be returning.

Bartender 10/10. Food 10/10. I had a Hennessey Strawberry Nirvana!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We were here for 3 hours, and could have been here longer! So much to do for all ages.

It was such an amazing experience I had trouble with my Groupon code and the employees were so nice trying to help me I will 100% come back to this location the food was so good and the service was incredible with everyone I talked to. Huge thanks to these workers for making my day off less stressful.

My kids absolutely love this place. I would suggested downloading the app as you get free playing chips by doing so. The best day to go is Wednesday as ask the games are half off. Also, they email me free playing chips all the time. I also enjoy the cheap $5 food plates and other specials they have. Just for guessing the right Monday night football game, they give you 50 chips. So many deals to make it a place that's fun and affordable!

We empathized with our waiter, but after two hours, only three out of nine of us had our food. The manager arrived and informed us that they had run out of salmon for one of our meals. He graciously said he will remove the food from our bill. Despite this gesture, the overall experience was VERY disappointing. It took over an hour to drive here, and most of our party left feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Honestly very sad.

I'm appalled by the experience my family and I had at Dave & Buster?s. What was supposed to be a fun outing quickly turned into an incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting situation due to the actions of one of their employees. The employee in question had a long ponytail, wore a mask, and glasses. He approached my 11-year-old brother regarding a concern, but instead of handling the matter professionally, he did something completely out of line?he touched my brother. This was not a brief or accidental brush;

It was okay spent a lot of money. Food was okay and it's fairly little inside compared to the ones we have been to. If you wanna watch or sports well this is the place to go

This dave and busters has the best managers they're incredibly helpful. Groupon did me dirty and the manager even talked to Groupon to try to help me. It's got great food, so much fun and great employees!

Had a good time can be sorta pricey though.

Had a fantastic experience all thanks to our server Kyle! He was very attentive of our needs and gave us great recommendations on the food options.

Very busy about a 35 to 45 minute wait around 5 on a Saturday. Cute drinks which obviously aren't made to get you drunk. The price is pretty steep. Food wasn't all that good EXCEPT for the chicken nacho appetizer. A lot of the games are out of order. No deals on games and food after 5 so I ended up paying around $60 for about 2 hours of play( for two people), $70 for 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 4 of those "cute drinks" definitely a once in a while type of outing.

I attended a corporate event at Dave & Buster?s recently, and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. Despite being part of a large group, I was singled out as the only person asked to provide identification when ordering a drink. While I understand the importance of verifying IDs, the way the bar manager handled the situation was unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive. The manager I spoke with insisted that an ID on my phone was not acceptable, which in itself could have been fine?had

Took us 43 mins just to get our drinks. I don't blame the server I blame the person in charge who didn't hire enough staff. She was slammed and looked ver overwhelmed. I personally wouldn't go back.

It was ok however I had a life changing experience..I thought I was ordering regular o fish n chips..however I received what I thought was a whole live fish freshly caught, Batter dipped, n served..YUCK!!! In fairness i didnt fully read the fish description on the menu..didnt think i had too..Also the chicken strips were So small my Man said they gave him 1 Chicken Strip n split it in 4???? I asked to taste 1 and it tasted like grease..the VR ride was down, and 1 of the basketball machines was broke.

Didn't take the food but some arcade machine seemed broken. A decent variety though

Amazing place they make sure you are taking care of I had a machine jam 2 times and they fixed it fast and gave me all the cards that dropped inside the machine

Always a great time at Dave & Buster's!

The building has a separate area for eating that is gorgeous. You can easily walk across to a "normal" dining area by the games, also. This particular D&B's has pool tables that only cost about $6/hr for both people. Best one I've been to. Food was EXCELLENT

My Family and I were there over the weekend. Ordered my steak medium rare, received it way over cooked. Really would have been no big deal Had the Manager Mike been more professional when it was brought to his attention. Instead of being a complete jerk. Cussing as he's walking way to where my kids could hear him. Then continuing to talk crap to another employee. To the point that we felt so uncomfortable that we paid and left without finishing our food and or playing games. Very upsetting and disappointin

Absolutely amazing time! The staff was caring and always ready to help! Excellent work guys! Will definitely be coming back!

By far the worst service ever!!! Reserved a party of 20 and payed deposit and they could not even find our reservation we had to wait for other people to leave before they could accommodate us!!! Over priced and food and service was the worst ever... would never recommend or return!!!

Alot of fun for all ages. Kids will leave there happy. The prizes are alot of tickets but we saved up from previous visit! Celebrated 3 birthdays! All 3 of my girls

Dave and Busters is definitely doing their part in making sure their customers are safe. Hand sanitizer set out in numerous places for use and every other game is shut down to keep up with social distancing guidelines. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!

We had such a blast. Our servers were friendly and helpful. All of the food and drinks were amazing. We have only been to another D&B in Seattle and that one didn't have the social lanes and group game box thing that looked awesome. Can't wait to go back.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?
