Dave & Buster's Friendswood

Dave & Buster's Friendswood

Reviews Summary

Dave & Buster's offers a fun, energetic atmosphere with a wide variety of arcade games, though some machines occasionally malfunction. Service experiences vary—some staff are attentive and friendly, while others are slow or rude. Food quality is mixed, with some dishes praised and others criticized for being overpriced or inconsistent. Families enjoy the kid-friendly environment, though a few note issues with staff behavior toward children. The recent remodel and new games are highlights, but drink service can be unreliable. Overall, it’s a popular spot for group outings, but service and food inconsistencies may affect some visits.

Recently renovated with all the latest games, including the human crane! I've been to this location over 40 times, it's clean, safe and they are always adding the latest games. Games are well maintained and the times I have had an issue with a game staff quickly fixes it and reimburses me the lost tokens all with a good attitude. The food is consistent, drinks are good. I really don't have anything negative to say. One rule they strictly enforce is anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are looking for fun while you eat this is a place for you. If you're looking for a Sports Pub atmosphere you can find that here as well. Excellent food, lots of TVs, lots of games to play, and excellent drink selection. An awesome place for you and your children to spend an afternoon. So much here to do and not too expensive.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge Dave and Buster's fan. I'd been few times, and enjoyed myself, but always felt like most arcades were the same. Not only that but, living 40+ minutes from one has always been a small resistance to visit. That being said, when our 8 years old asked for a Dave and Buster's birthday, my first question was, why there? He said he saw it on YouTube. We have local arcades, but it was quite a simple request. So, we said yes. Now, though I had been to this location years before, the place

Fun place to spend an afternoon...make sure you bring money to load up play cards.

Very quiet atmosphere, we spent a very fun time, very safe place, spacious, the food we liked very much, I ordered a steak with asparagus and pure potato, and really loved it! , very friendly attention, recommended! ?? ??

Not so wonderful service. We were seated and after 25 minutes I had to get up and walk to a few waiters standing around the bar to ask if we can get service. I was there for a bday party and people who arrived after us in different sections were seated and served food and drinks before we even placed our order. The place was crowded for a saturday night of course but the staff had no idea what was going on. Food was bland nothing special and was cold of course. Eat before you go.

Was here yesterday to celebrate my nephew's 3rd birthday. I ordered the Philly cheese steak eggrolls, everyone in the section received their food, and I was still waiting for mine. The server was very sweet , she noticed I hadn't received my food she kept checking until I received it and removed it from the ticket. How about the were still COLD! VERY DISAPPOINTED

Took my son. It's always a good time. Get out of the heat for a little bit or go spend the evening and have some dinner and play some games. We even had an incident this time where a game messed up and we were helped quickly. And, they have deals going on all the time. Plus you can use game tickets for certain foods now. Most places get worse as they get older. Not here. They have improved greatly since they've opened.

Huge shoutout to Manager Izzy at Dave & Buster?s! From the moment we walked in, Izzy made sure everything was running smoothly and that guests were having a great time. They were friendly, professional, and clearly cared about both the customers and the staff. It's rare to see a manager so hands-on and approachable. You can tell Izzy takes pride in creating a fun and welcoming environment. Thanks for the awesome experience, we'll definitely be coming back!

I hardly do any reviews. It has been a long time since I came here. They did an awesome job for the remodel. Everything had changed. Added new games and food on the menu. The food was great and so was the service. Our waiter Doug was very awesome! Love how the managers came up to see how our service was.

Always a favorite for us. I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures this time but Jay was our server this time and he was really on top of things. Great guy so ask for him if you go soon.

Bring the kids here for a delightful weekend filled with small, enjoyable activities. We all had a fantastic time. Although this location isn't as large as the one we used to visit on I10, it's incredibly tidy and well-maintained. The staff is extremely friendly, providing exceptional customer service that surpasses anything else. Oh, and guess what? They're conveniently located right next to the mall! There's a playground area, restaurants, and a shopping center nearby, so we can extend our visit and make

I had an amazing experience at Dave & Buster's tonight, and I owe a lot of it to the fantastic manager, Izzy. From the moment we walked in, he made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly stood out. Izzy was our favorite bartender, and now as a manager, we love seeing him thrive in this role. He went above and beyond to ensure our group had everything we needed and were having a great time. It's clear that he genuinely cares about his customers and his te

Very disappointed payed 50 dollars for a play card just to get $2000 points sat down to eat we're never waited on after 8 of us sat at a table for almost 30 minutes than when we spoke to a manger did seem like he tried hard enough to even offer us any compensation all we got is that they could not find the server would give 0 stars if I could. For my first time ever was not a good impression. Than both machines froze up on us when we tried to get our play cards.

The salmon was great, very moist and seared to perfection. The butter that came on it was extremely salty, I had to take it all off. The asparagus was well seasoned and semi soft had a great crunch to it. The All American cheeseburger was great my son had no complaints. He said it was one of the best burgers he has tasted so far, and we eat out A LOT. The balsamic dressing tasted homemade, was a bit two vinegary (tart) and two sweet. Tasted and smelled like real wine on my salad ugh I didn't eat it. Food wa

We came to Dave & Buster?s to watch the fight and had such a great experience! Kenyatta was our server and even though it was a packed Saturday night, she was amazing! Super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. We never had to ask for refills; she was already there with them! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and acknowledged us right away. We had a big party, and the hostesses were great at getting us situated. Huge shoutout to managers Israel and Nico?they made sure everythi

We're semi-regulars at Dave & Buster?s, and every time we visit, Izzy makes us feel like VIPs. He always remembers our names, EVEN OUR KIDS?, and welcomes us with such genuine hospitality. Izzy makes sure we're taken care of from the moment we walk in, sending servers over constantly to check on us. It's service like this that keeps us coming back. Thank you, Izzy, for always making us feel right at home!

Overall this was a great experience, the bar Tinder was pretty good. The food was not very good and we had to have the pasta remade because it came out cold the first time, and they didn't bring out the appetizer we ordered. The games were a blast, until more and more kids started coming into the building and yelling and screaming. But this is the best Dave and Busters in the Houston area.

This place is usually a little busy and if you stay after 8-9 pm it getting craziER but needless to say the times I've been here with family we don't tend to stay those crazy hours and enjoy the day time hours there. Adult drinks are always good and food is a little wait sometimes but definitely okay food. Staff always seems to be available throughout D&B and the games usually working too. Bathrooms usually clean and there's always someone walking around cleaning D&B too so that's nice so it's not messy. Th

Oh Dave & Busters, a solid place to throw back some drinks ?? and have fun with the family. Where the food is good, and the games are enjoyable. The down side is certain games are down, time to time. The unlimited pass allows you to play select few games that max out your tickets at 1500. For the price you pay, you might as well buy your tokens to earn tickets. The service was amazing. You will spend roughly 100 to 200 dollars for drinks (four), dinner for four, and game time to play. But for your smiles of

When I wrote this review, I wrote it for the wrong location. So I ate here last month, and the food was delicious, our waitress was pretty nice, the floors were clean, the music were awesome jams, and my game card even had a smiley face drawn on it! Even though it's kinda crowded and loud, I had a blast! Got a chance to play some Mario Kart Arcade GP Deluxe which is my favorite game here. (I'm not lying)

Went here for a birthday party for my granddaughter. It's in a shopping mall so parking is wherever you can find it. Not enough handicap parking spaces, but we both were feeling pretty good (health wise), so we wouldn't have used them anyway. So we had a nice long walk. Huge game room, restrooms were plentiful and clean, food can be ordered ahead, draft beer in a tall glass was $5, fountain cokes were free (maybe because of senior status), and seating for food and drink was plentiful and clean. What a gre

Great place for family fun great place for date night great place for All ages above five. We were invited to the birthday party at one of their function rooms It was fantastic The food was great hot and delicious fries were extra salty The staff was extra friendly. It's not cheap to have a party there but if you're looking for a party that is going to post high quality friends and family it's a memory definitely a place to consider. They have a huge game selection and all of the popular games they have mor

Employees are extremely happy to help. They are well educated on games incoming and current. Clean, with a bit of construction ?? currently going on adding new interactive social experiences. Darts ?? and Shuffleboard. They are building a beer ?? wall. Exciting things coming soon.

It's always fun night at Dave and busters. Date nights are never boring!!!

The Dave & Buster's location was great. The waitress was very nice. I think I would have loved it better if I could have gotten to the 15% military discount that was posted on the door. But after ordering the eating Play Combo and presenting my ID when it was time to pay, I was informed that you cannot use your military ID for Discount since according to them that is a discounted rate. The thing is that, that price is the price that everyone pays and if you are honoring the military military should get that

This D&B is good. They are a little understaffed especially in the dining and bar area but they're trying their best. ? I tried their food for the first time last night and it SLAPS!!! Really good. We were able to use our tickets ??? to redeem as coupons for food. ?? Saved so much money (well we've spent a lot on playing but you know what I mean). ?? ? Go on Wednesdays to save a little money ??! ??They have DDR and PIU for rhythm gamers out there. ?? Could have better organization about who or where to

My family visited at very late hour due to traveling a long way. Staff was very attentive. Unfortunately one of appetizer dishes was not cooked thoroughly but management did REMOVE the charge from our bill.

This Dave & Busters is great! Very happy with how games and tickets were handled. Our food did take 25 minutes to come out even though we only ordered wings and a burger and there were only two other tables seated. Food was still tasty and service still good. Great experience!

Had a great time at Dave & Buster?s yesterday. A few of the games weren't working right, but Bennet I think was his name was super helpful and got everything fixed. The food was amazing and tasted great, the whole place had an amazing atmosphere. A little loud for my liking but definitely coming back!

Food is good, drinks are egh...but kids always have fun when we go. It's been redone inside when we've gone again recently. The kids plates are a good size. The kids burger was same size as adults chicken sandwich for half price

5 stars everything. Just absolutely love Dave & Buster's! The food, arcade, and all the other stuff they have to offer! It's definitely one of the biggest Dave & Buster's ever!

Took my sons so they could use their Christmas gift cards here and I bought them lunch. They have a lunch and play game special over the holiday break.

As a restaurant/bar, this place is pretty friggin awesome, if it was just that I would give it 5 stars. The food is fantastic, the drinks are great, the waiters/bartenders are a great bunch, but the actual arcade is mid and expensive. I rate the arcade part a 2.5. I would totally take my friends here for the food drinks and atmosphere, just not for the arcade part

It wasn't terribly packed, perhaps because it was a weekday. The food was actually pretty good! I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. My son had a burger and my partner had a pasta dish with shrimp and steak I do believe. I'll add the photos. I had a cute cocktail but I can't remember the name and it was a little bit too sweet for me. The flavor was good though. The games were a lot of fun, we went to celebrate my son's birthday but I think people of all ages can enjoy themselves. We had pl

Great date night. Be ready to spend at least 2 hrs or more eating and playing. Our waiter was Doug and he was great at helping us make our dinner choices for the night.

I went here for my birthday and it was pretty cool. I love the arcade. There were some different games like axe throwing, and some new basketball stuff. The food wasn't the best. It was kind of the worst part of the experience, but the arcade is the main attraction.

I went early hours on spring break but it wasn't as busy as I thought. The hostess was very nice she sat us at our table pretty fast. The server was prompt and attentive. The food was priced pretty high I got 8 wings for $16 and it came with no fries or side. The arcade area was ok it's not many games to play especially when busy so you'll find yourself the same games over and over. The area where you redeem your tickets the people that work that area were pretty rude I stood at the counter looking for help

Went to celebrate my nieces birthday and to me everything start with the service our waitress was awesome sorry can't remember her name but she was friendly and always check on us , food was good and everyone was happy , I didn't give it a five starts because the chips were old and you can taste it ,hopefully the have fresh one next time , but I always enjoy Dave and busters with the family and friends great place :)

The food was very good. Ordered the Smash'd burger, i don't rememberexactly what the name was called. But it was about $15-$20. The games were beneath my expectations compared to other arcades I've been to.

Food was very good. I had the triple bacon burger. Daughter had the philly cheese steak, other daughter sliders and shrimp. Wife had the chicken. Kids and wife.really enjoyed playing games

I love this new location. Very good size gaming area. The restaurant has above average food. I ordered the Avacado Club Sandwich which is served with fries. Our Server was fantastic and very helpful. She patiently explained the menu options with great detail. She also checked on us periodically for drink refills. I believe her name is Samantha...a genuine sweetheart of a human being.

Dave and Buster's is always gonna be a great place to go due to the games and drinks. The service however is severely lacking. It takes forever to recieve a drink, no matter what time of day you visit. The waitress and waiters will gather behind the bar and talk instead of attending to their tables. During my visit, I overheard a customer complaining to whom they said was the manager on duty at the bar area, and the supposed manager was the utmost rude and disregarded his concerns about the service. This pl

They have completely remodeled. The new layout is super clean and great separation of the bar area from the games. Staff as aways was nice. Kristen had the chicken Cobb salad. She said it was meh. I am never gonna hear the end of of the cobb salad short comings

Brought the family out for a good time and everyone had a blast !!! Highly recommended for anyone looking to have a good night out !! Pool games food and drinks !!! Staff was very nice and professional!!

This place was great ??. I went here for my birthday with Friends and family. The place and decor is amazing lots of colors and games to play. The food taste amazing and the server took a bit long to check on us. But the server had a happy energy and was nice ????.

The food is delicious and the drinks are good. If you pay 3 dollars more you get a shot with your drink. Great for the kids to have fun and for adults too!

We had a fun party. We played some great games and food was good stuff!!! Piggies in a blanket was savory.

Yes two stars because I came in there with the family. The place wasn't busy but still took over an hour before a server even came to the table. In my opinion if it wasn't for my wife asking a passing employee no one would have came over.

Enjoyed my mother's day out me and hubby. the waitress was very attentive to us good quality time.

We had our son's 18th birthday celebration here tonight. The staff was amazing and very accommodating!! The prices were reasonable and we came in under budget. I definitely highly recommend this location for an event, casual night out or a family fun night!!

Check Groupon! ?? It was our first time here, we got a good deal on Groupon. The place was very nice & organized. The arcade is not huge but has a good amount of games to play. I would love to come back another time!

To the person who replied, the day I went a manager & someone else came over to be nosy & make sure I could pay over $400 for the game cards I asked for. I had gift cards from Costco plus added more there than I had some others from a previous time. But whatever I did not say anything but I'm no fool. He was hoovering over the employee assisting me,I was there to have a great time so i decided to ignore it & keep it peaceful. We played for hrs, ate, then went back to play. You tell me "what you can do". I

Why do I need to find a human to scan a coupon barcode for buy $20 get $20 in free game play? You're telling me all these fancy touch screen terminals can't scan a barcode? Hopefully AI doesn't respond to this. And don't ask me to email you more details as surely you can figure out what I'm talking about...

First let's just say I waited 25 minutes to be greeted when I sat to eat second the host tried to put me way in the back alone not seen It was no one in there still no service Was not satisfied

We had the best waiter.....he was very polite and respectful. Thank you Charles for a great experience. Fun place, always busy....be ready to spend money. Bathroom's are filthy, bring hand sanitizer.

Waitresss was great. Food was quick. Place is clean. Will come back later

We went in the middle of the week for my granddaughter's Birthday. It was nice bc there weren't a lot of kids running and screaming. The food was good but the service was slow

This is our favorite spot to come have date nights. We will continue to rack up Dave & Buster?s Points because it's what we love doing.

This was my first time ever going to any Dave and Buster's, and I will definitely be returning!! I had a blast!!

Had a blast not to crowded had great service in the restaurant. I was very surprised at the quality of food I will definitely be going back!!

Love what they did to the place. There is much more room and feels way cleaner. There is still the arcade section it just feels separated from the bar area, which is nice.

Our girls had the best time with their friends. Some good appetizers and had a blast playing the games in the arena.

For my first time experiencing dave & dusters, it wasn't bad. The service for the drinks could of been better, very slow and unorganized. Didn't try their food. Had fun at the games w/ my girl and her daughter. I'll definitely be back though. Loved the atmosphere!! Sry my phone ended up dying so only pics of our drinks. ??

We had a ton of fun with the kids and the drinks were fantastic! Staff is super friendly, I haven't had a bad experience here whatsoever

David & Busters is always a great place to unwind. They have some great games. Almost all the games earn points that you can use in the gift shop. Their is the typical stuff and some more expensive items like PS4s and GoPros. On top of all the games they have a full bar and some great food. I literally ate most of the items off the old menu, the new menu has a few of the old items. It also has some new items that are very tasty. My son decided to try one of their originals. BUSTER'S CHEESEBURGER Let

Took the kid to play some games. Still won't waste my time eating here, after our last experience. Now we'll be looking for a different arcade to go to. I waited at least 5 mins at the bar, while the bartenders & servers chatted it up. One bartender & server saw me waiting but never bothered to ask if I needed anything. They both just stared at me like I was some kind of foreign object. We left cause I couldn't even get 1 beer.

Always have a blast. Was on the way to Galveston decided to stop in for lunch, staff was friendly, food yummy, clean and fun atmosphere!

Nayeli was amazing loved her she was so attentive and very nice gave us all the options always made sure our drinks were full and that we had food in front of us

I recently visited Dave & Buster?s, and it was a fantastic experience overall! The place has a great mix of entertainment for both kids and adults. The arcade games are top-notch, with a wide variety of classic and new options that kept everyone in our group engaged for hours. The food was better than I expected for an entertainment venue, with a decent menu selection and some surprisingly tasty dishes. The drinks were also well-made, though a bit on the pricier side. The staff was friendly and helpful, es

Food was really good and the price for everything wasn't bad!

you don't go here for the food. service was great atmosphere is great. great family place. the arena was absolutely great great family game would only suggest four players at a time. it is a live interactive game

We had my son's 13 the birthday party here and we were a little late, they extended our party time and gave us a party rm that we didn't order for free!! The atmosphere is excellent, my kids love the prize selections, and we were able to add on anything with no problem. My kids love coming here.

We decided to spend a day of fun with our son before he had to return to school following Christmas break. We played games, competed against each other, shared some laughs, enjoyed some much needed time out.

Good atmosphere friendly welcoming staff wide variety of games and entertainment Restrooms clean well maintained $$$

Take your kids and let them run around, while you do your adult thing at the bar from one hell of a week, yeah this a okay place to let them bad kids get chased by employees while u down some triple shots ?? I can honestly say make this place a last resort if anything

Great games and activities unfortunately the system is in and out and they no longer have the eliminated wings all week it's only on Mondays.

This place is absolutely perfect! They rearranged and remodeled everything! Better games more space! Over all this is the new spot to kick it for weekends! I give this place a 5 out of 5. Great customer service, great food and great games.

Very nice! Like all places some of the servers are rude. But they also had some that were very professional. The new look is nice!

We enjoyed my Grandson's birthday. Nomar was on it. Our toddler was happy also with his prompt service to our table and the games atmosphere. Also they offer military/first responder discount. It's definitely a plus.

While at the gift shop i was met with a very very nasty attitude from one of the employees. Honestly ruined my whole night. We had to very rude encounters with her. The employee that caused this bad experience had blond short hair. I tried reading her name tag but my vision is not very good. From what i could make out from it was Gabrielle?or something like that. When we first arrived to the counter she already had an attitude with us giving us rude orders. We let it slide but then the second time, hours la

I took my boys, 10 & 18, there for an afternoon of lunch and games. The food was delicious and the service was great. After we played games. There was a great selection of games that entertained both boys. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because a LOT of games were broke or out of service which was disappointing. Overall we all enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere.

As always a great atmosphere and games are always a blast with the family. However, the service and food was absolutely atrocious. Myself and multiple other people in my group asked for multiple refills, some didn't get it while others did. We watched as other people around us who got there up to 20 minutes after us get their food first. When we finally got our food it was all cold like it had been sitting there ready for quite a bit. We love Dave and busters for all the games and memories but damn the

Came for a birthday party in one of the private section. The service was great more games were available to play then there was before due to covid.

It's fun there is lots of games you can play but some games were not working but in general we went there for my friends birthday and I hit some jackpots so in general I suggest you go

Went there on 07/01/24 around 10pm. Baybrook location. We had a group of about 10 people. In my group there was a table of kids under the age of 14. The waitress not only took forever with the drinks but when the kids asked for more drinks she told them the machine was broken. The kids didn't say anything until we left the place but how could someone lie about that. Also, why do that to kids??? Because they won't speak up??? I know it was a lie because the other people around us were getting drinks.

We went for the power hour and spent $10 to play unlimited arcade games. I thought we would have a lot to do but we can only play the blue light games which seems to be 15% of everything there. I understand not allowing unlimited play for games that only give you tickets but there were some games like fruit ninja or cut the rope that we couldn't play either because they were green light. We couldn't even play the marvel game or dance dance revolution because it had a purple light (whatever that means). Eith

This was a good family entertainment place Little pricey but a lot of fun

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
