The food is amazing. I have no complaints on the food. Fast turnaround time. There are times that it seemed to be too packed in the dining and game area. The games are fun but the versus games last less then 10 seconds. The best bang for the buck game is bowling.
Dave & Buster?s Ala Moana is the ultimate combo of fun, food, and games! Great vibes, friendly staff, and a massive game selection. Perfect for date night or family fun. Eat, play, and win all day! It's right across the way from Foodland Farms and connected to Ala Moana. Lots of shopping and food options in walking distance. ??
Okay so I did have a good time there with my family but there were so many issues that didn't make my visit as good as a visit to Dave & Busters should be. First of all. Half of the games were not working. The photos I included weren't even all of the games that weren't working. I paid good amount of money to play with my younger siblings and they were mad/sad that the attracting games weren't working. Had to spend our time on coin push games and the luck based games. What's even worse is that the small c
While I am saddened that yet another business was leaving the Ward/Kaka?ako area, I was delighted to witness their grand opening at Ala Moana Center. Taking over the old Shirokiya space, I was wondering how everything would work within a single floor; every corner is something to discover, which was great for me to have an excuse to explore everywhere. The service was great, Robert greeted us as our server for the night. Definitely will be returning more now that D&B is within a mall.
We went in on cinco de mayo for the all you can eat wings. The space is pretty dope, I didn't think I would like it more than the old spot, but they did a good job. The reason for the 5 stars though was our server Sal. This dude was on it, super attentive and quick with it, anticipating our needs. I was straight up blown away at the level of service. I will always request Sal every time I go back.
The games side is good. The selection of games is better than it was at Ward. The ticket price of prizes has gone up a lot, but whatever?you shouldn't be there primarily for the prizes. They also have a pour-and-pay tap system for beers on the game side?pretty neat. The restaurant side isn't great. Food has gotten quite expensive while the quality remained the same. Cocktails have especially gotten crazy at about $16 each?thems Waikiki prices! And it might be because they just opened, but service is pretty
The new Dave & Buster?s at Ala Moana is slick?gleaming floors, a jungle of blinking machines, and people losing track of time and budget. It's flashier, better. The games are fresh, the air conditioning is generous, and the staff? Kind, helpful, cheerful. Like they actually enjoy being there. And maybe they do. But then there's the Instagram. Whoever?s behind it? Fire them. Immediately. If there's a contest for worst-run brand page, D&B Ala Moana would podium. No daily specials listed, no replies to message
We got seated right away. Hubby ordered the Red Bull Energy Drink which is $3.99 on the menu but was charged $5.49 on the receipt. The waitress who brought the Red Bull just left the can on the table with a straw and left. Don't even provide a glass with ice as shown on the picture on the menu. Hubby ordered the fish and chip with side order of salad but when his food came there was no dressing and the fries from the fish and chips were missing. The waiter said the Kalihi plate was huge and good but
Haven't been in years and wanted to check out the new location. Came for happy hour. The bartender told us "everything behind the bar" is half off. We ordered a shared specialty drink. When we got the bill though, we were told none of the shared drinks were half off. Also there's no prices on the menu for the specialty drinks which is deceiving. We were initially charged $50 for our drink but when we asked why it was so much, they eventually gave us the half off for HH. There's only drink specials for HH.
First impression of the new location was that everything looked clean and pretty new. A downside I'd mention is the entrance inside is really crowded (at dinner time, when I visited) and this could be due to confusion about where to go to be seated to dine-in. My boyfriend and I figured the obvious answer is to go to the host podium, but after speaking with the host, she pointed us in the direction that was off to the side to see someone with a tablet to sign us in. This wasn't a major delay in joining the
Lost me as a Dave and Buster's goer. In the past 18 months I have gone to Dave and Buster's numerous times for going away events and such. Since they have moved into the new location things have changed. We went as a group reserved a space, which was right in front of the bar. Which made it louder and not so private. - We were charged the normal 18% gratuity for a large party. Ok, that's fine. - They couldn't break the checks down to individual checks, even though they took our names down to separate them
Very busy for a Wednesday night. Very loud hard to hear server. Very big and lots of games. Food is good.
We did try to dine in and eat at the restaurant. We did get seated by a very nice hostess. But after that everything went downhill. We sat at our table for over 45 minutes. I did get up and talk with a number of waiters that were all just talking in a coasting we were ready to order. They would just say we will be right with you. We ended up just getting up leaving without even drinks or anything. We did play the game and overall the games were fun. But the place was dirty lots of empty drinks and garbage.
I was here for a birthday party and wanted to check out the place. The new and improved space is really spacious and the availability of different games. However the reception lady who is running the front had such a bad attitude and shouldn't work with customers. Me and my friends were here on Mary 21st on a Wed around 11:00am to 1:00pm. Didn't catch her name but she was being very passive aggressive towards us for no reason. Not only to us but for other customers. We were trying to just buy tickets for th
There was so many new games set up. You can use your phone to pay and play. We went there for the games. The line to eat there was 45 minutes, too long to wait for the food. But at least the games were fun.
This place is awesome! My son and I love it. I really wish the game prizes had a bigger selection. Tons of action. A couple of machines malfunctioned, and the attentants made it right for my son.....will return! A++++
The Remote Sales Manager Shannon was very informative, patient, and flexible. While I was unable to use the space due to personal reasons, she still helped me to find the best solution for celebrating a coworker. I look forward to working with her and the D&B team on planning my next event for team building. Thanks again Shannon, for your help! The new location is also very nice. My server Phillip was attentive and helpful on the games and ways to enjoy D&B on a budget. Thanks Philip!
Food was good, Service by waiter good, a couple of food runners good except for a black girl that gave me an attitude when I handed her an empty plate kinda telling "this is not my job" and yanking the plate out of my hand, I wish I would've looked at her name tag. They also seem a little disorganized but that's the case for every just opened place. It's nice of them to have a bar plus a separate serve yourself tap bar so if you don't feel like waiting for the bartender you can serve yourself. we didn't pla
Great food and atmosphere. My kids had an absolute blast! I had an issue with being charged for $80 in extra play cards but it was resolved 4 days later. Would return but would check my ticket 2x before paying.
The atmosphere was wonderful to have but terrible service wish. they did more with the way they make money .hope they keep track with most peoples spending .it costs 12 bucks a small stuff animal.then to really keep a good impression .if they value such customers with high expectations for such highly sought location.please make it easier on us to be winners.when that only should be highly expected .to view a customer as a winner to walk with a confident and healthy condition.spend almost 500 dollars thro
4/23/2025, 6:25p I was so excited to take a look at the new digs. I had a few across the way at Inhabitant and figured, since I was in the neighborhood, perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, literally, 30 seconds after walking into the place, I was scolded by an employee and his cohort. I was interested in the 49 seat bar and the natural pathway from entering takes you along the left side of the bar and comes around the back taking a right, then towards the gaming, or along the other long side of the rect
UPDATE: The broken kiosk that double charged me never refunded and they cant even find record of the transaction in their system, so I'm just expected to pay double for this event. Rating is dropping to 1 star as I'm going to have to take this up with local authorities to possibly get my money back. ----- Oh man. Where do I start? So the kiosk at the front froze and cancelled my $251.xx transaction, and I had limited funds on my card to take my family out but the charge was left pending. The attendant didn
This was an incredible experience! We went on Monday for their special?endless wings during happy hour from 3 to 7 PM. Drinks were also half off during that time, which made it even better. A big shoutout to Sal, our waiter, and ?Dude? an awesome guy in the prize center?your customer service was outstanding! It's been a long time since I've experienced such great service and a fun atmosphere from everyone we encountered. Highly recommend!
The "new" Dave and Busters is conveniently located, but the "new" menu is a big disappointment after the old one. The reduction of beers on tap is also a big letdown, so overall the experience for "grownups" is a disappointment. Used to be our favorite on game days to watch our fave teams. Not so much anymore.
You go to Dave & Busters to have a good meal and have a good time, plain and simple. The food is tasty with plenty of options for every palette. There are huge TVs everywhere showing all major sporting events. On the other side of the massive room are the games. Some of the games are games of chance where you play for tickets that can be used for prizes. There are 3 pinball machines, but lots of the games are high-end thrill shooters, racing, and several VR emmersive 'rides'. There are games for every type
I left a 1 star review because last night's experience was distasteful and displayed a lack of customer service. We got there around 8:30 ish, last night 5/31,went to the Host podium and asked for a table for two. Keep in mind that I am wearing a boot due to having foot surgery. We immediately got taken to a table upon checking in. When the host led us to our table, she took us to a table that had high barstool chairs. I looked at the host and said there's no way I could climb up to sit down. I told her to
this review is only for the arcade: I like it! Lots of space, games spaced out nicely. It makes Lucky Strike, on the other side of the mall, look small and cramped in comparison. I came on a monday, & parking wasn't too bad. Defn easier to find parking, than Ward imo. Only drawback, i thought prices were alittle bit on the high side, but that's the world we live in. Lots of security around, which is good. Thought the music was abit loud, but i could just be getting old lol.
The manager working on Sat 4/19/25 at around 9pm was amazing! One of the machines ate my money so she let me play free games and compensated like 300 tickets to let me get the pokemon cards. Above and beyond for sure!
Went for NBA game, busy, but great service by Phillip, super attentive and very helpful, best service we've had anywhere in a while. So kudos to Phillip!
Have tried to play here twice. Both times just one guy working a register. I asked why just one guy when the line is 30 min long?they said they only have one register. Finally got to the front and he couldn't take our money for a turn on the human claw without a separate card. Wanted us to go get one and return to the back of the line. This place is grossly disorganized.
Went there today, expecting at least a good amount of the old games to be there but didn't see much. What happened to games such as Tomb Raider, Injustice, or Marvel Contest of Champions? Some of the newer games were just okay.
They sat us at our table and then left. We sat at our table for, at least, 10 minutes without anyone coming to take our drink or food order. They kept going by us, but not serving us. One lady even went by us to take an order of someone that came in after us. We decided to walk out.
40 minutes and I'm still waiting for my salad??? 5 of us here and food arrives at 5 different times. I just got my salad and 2 in my party are already done their dinner! ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE IMMAGINABLE. Won't be back here anytime soon!
Bigger and newer than the last location at Ward, they were very busy but still were amazing all around. Cookie took good care of us at the restaurant section and the game section was a fun vibe
Horrible experience. Waited an hour to watch the fights and when they finally seated us it was the only table without tv viewing.
Didn't eat here. But the new location is bigger and offers more bars throughout so that helps cut wait times. It seems some of the shooter games are gone. Still plenty of things to do.
I am new to this island and coming here was amazing. The claw machine worker was so nice and friendly. Her name was Destini, she was really nice and friendly
If the arcade game options don't do it for you try the arena games- so cool!
Pretty good burger and fries. A bit messy, lettuce on the bottom bun makes everything slide around. But delicious nonetheless.
Pretty good food. The hamburgers are awesome ??
Great new location! Awesome service, Lots of parking. GREAT EXPERIENCE GO D&B
Great spot! Lots of parking compared to old location. Staff is great and very attentive
Everything is very good and I just want to be there every day
This is ridiculous I was trying to call and ask a question to the number that's was provided on the website and I press 2 no answer and I press 0 no answer like this is ridiculous yall need to do better when picking up phones
Didn't eat there. Just played games.
Love the food best place for dinner and play!
Very nice for family gatherings.
Much larger than the previous location.
Service very bad attitude and rude!!!
Super Fun ,Outstanding Place
It lots of games and food
Fun!!! Good location.
So cool silly face silly face silly face ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
We were celebrating my daughter's 8th birthday and we couldn't make a reservation so we had to just go in. Considering there was a game on, it was Saturday and it was super busy they still sat us pretty quick. The staff was absolutely amazing!! Our waiter was on it. The kids loved the Arena and Jessica (I think that was her name) was so patient and helpful with our young kids!! Great job!! Mahalo??

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
