I made a last minute decision to come to this new location while I was visiting Gulfport, MS from Atlanta. I really enjoyed my time here. I didn't eat but had a lot of fun on the games. I got the high score on some of the retro games in the Pac-Man's Pixel Bash machine. If I ever come to Louisiana again, I'll definitely come back here!
?????????? Absolutely loved our visit to Dave & Buster?s in Lafayette! The food came out hot, fresh, and so delicious?and surprisingly fast, too! Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The games were a blast and kept us entertained the entire time. We had so much fun and can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend!
Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When the drinks arrived, there were no straws, and it took over 10 minutes to even flag down another staff member for assistance. Despite signs promoting happy hour all over the restaurant, the waitress informed us they no longer honor it. With only six tables occupied, we still waited an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, both my burger and my wife?s chicken sandwich were cold to the touch and yet somehow my burger was burnt. To
I had an awesome time at Dave & Buster?s in Lafayette! The food was delicious?everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether you're in the mood for wings, burgers, or something a little different, they've got you covered. The games were just as impressive. Tons of variety, all in great working condition, and the entire arcade was super clean and well-organized. Whether you're into classic games or the latest high-tech ones, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was lively and fun, an
My kids love it here! I do find that the games are a little pricey (be prepared to spend a lot in the arcade) but the games are great and there is something for all ages. It's our go to for a family outing.
Rachel was our server and the bartender's name was Peter. Our service was horrible and the drinks were very weak (lacking alcohol). As we waved our hands in the air to get Rachel's attention she continuously stayed behind the bar with the bartender not acknowledging the attentiveness that was needed. The crazy part is this was Tuesday, December 3, 2024 around 8 pm and they were dead. My friends and I do not understand why our service sucked so badly.
Great place to hang with the kids. The food was good but the service really sucked took about 20 minutes for waitress to even make it to my table and it wasn't that busy. Often times we had to get other people to find out waitress. My son loves the games which made it worth it but don't leave home without your wallet. They have some really good oldies arcade games and new stuff. The gigantic PAC MAN was fun, as well as the air hockey which my son beat me at. They have a full bar and good variety of beer on
This location is pretty nice. It was very busy when we went, and we had reserved a table 4 days in advance and still had a short wait. We were initially told it would be an hour, but after a short conversation with someone at the front door, we were seated within 10-20 mins. That night, there was actually a 3 hour wait without a reservation. So be sure to make a reservation if you intend to eat at this location. The food was actually really good. I had a cheeseburger and fries that was delicious. My wife h
Came in here one time with my friends, when we entered, it just happened to be close to their time of shift change. Due to this, when we were seated at a table, none of the servers wanted to serve us because they did not want to stay over their shift. We sat for 40 minutes waiting for just a drink. This was just the afternoon and was not busy at all. They were all together talking and not even bothering to check on us. To finally get served, I had to go to a bus-boy to get their attention. Finally we had a
For the child or adult who enjoys stimulation, this is a wonderland! The service team is top-notch. Everyone was so kind. Get the PRETZEL STICKS (and bring someone to share with!) I am definitely ready to return.
The gameplay was definitely fun. My 7 year old son and I enjoyed ourselves in the arcade! The burgers were a lot better than most arcades! As for the service, Andrea was as sweet as could be and was very attentive! Will definitely be taking my son there again!
I have gone twice so far. I'm not a fan of the food. Way better places to eat in Lafayette. Next time I think we will just eat nearby and then go play games. Lots of games are all still new, so nothing is broken yet. Wednesday is usually half price. If you do decide to eat there, don't get your game card at the table. You have the gratuity for total, including card. Download the app before going reward and deals on there. If you do eat there. Do the survey on receipt, and will give you a $10 reward. take i
Upon walking in, it was really loud. I could barely hear the hostess. We sat in a booth and waited what seemed like quite a while before we got a waitress. Once we were waited upon, the young lady was very helpful and friendly. Several items (like fried pickles) we tried to order we out of stock. We settled on wings , they didn't take too long and they were served while still hot. The offers in the app are not working, a manager did take care of it for us, but there really isn't a reason the app shouldn't
I give a 4 star overall because there was confusion about earning points with purchased food. There was an ad for it but no one but the manager knew anything about it. The food was delicious. We got an app, kids pizzas, wings, and burgers. The kids had a blast playing the games too! It was nice to sit back to enjoy a drink while they played. The atmosphere was great. Super clean and everyone was nice and helpful. Oh and Wednesday is the day to go for half off games!
Fantastic place for a date night!! Went in for an all-you-can-play for 1HR deal and ate a surprisingly good meal all for less than $50. Games are fun, the energy is great, and the restaurant staff are friendly. One downside is that it is extremely warm on the arcade side with all the games running. It was also very strange that the guy just reloading our game cards would ask for a tip?
My husband and I went to Dave and busters in Lafayette 6/19/25 around 6:30p.m . We sat at the bar. We noticed a foul smell, we asked the bar tender what that smell she stated?our pipes are messed up? we said ok. So we noticed a couple that was sitting at the end of the bar was finished with their food and left. We told the waitress that we will sit at the end because we couldn't take the smell. She said that is fine. So as we moved to the seats, the area was still dirty. We was just stating behind the sea
We Never have any issues at this location. From service to food to games everything is always great and either meet or beat our expectations. Our kids always have a blast. Everything is generally clean even during busy times. We usually get the smash burger!! Always hot and fresh. We will definitely be returning.
This place is what it is. It's a place to take your kids to play games and you can also get a decent meal. The food came out hot, but nothing special. My daughter and I split the appetizer sampler. It was kind of overpriced for what we got. $31 for 3 sliders, 4 wings, and 5 pigs in a blanket. We had fun playing games though. The server we had was very nice. They have a lot of tvs and is a great place to watch a game. As far as food though, average is the word.
It was a absolute great time! ?? Our waitress was so kind to me and my husband toddler boys who themselves are a handfull! I forgot her name but sweet girl, yellow bangs and a flower clip in her hair. Love that even with a stressful job and the world falling apart around us she still found happiness in the moment with two overly stimulated toddler boys. The food was amazing facility was spotless. Just a blast thank y'all so much we definitely will be back to this location.
You'll be amazed walking into this new dave and busters. Check it out as soon as you can because it won't be new forever. Every Wednesday is half price game day all day. They don't accept game coupons on that day however. Football season, they have all you can eat wings every Monday and Thursday after 4pm. Happy hour is Monday thru Friday 4-7pm. Late night happy hour bites for $5 are sunday-thursday 9pm- close. The staff is new and amazing and eager to serve. The kitchen is visible from your table so you ca
Our 10 year old had the day off from school today so we took him here for lunch and to play some video games. We had a lot of fun playing the games;' the money spent on "chips" seem to go a long way playing the games and surprisingly seemed like good value. In addition the service was good and the place felt new and clean. Recommended. - Tim Gallagher
First time to dine and had my kids in their little heaven ! My server she was wonderful .. need to work on the host tho.. he was kinda off.but the manager came and apologized,I don't mind as long as the management already know maybe can talk a little to the host to be a little nicer next time.again my server was great.??
As far as Dave and Busters locations typically go, I'd say this one is about remarkably average on all fronts. Service was ok, maybe they're a little understaffed for the amount of people. Food isn't that great, I'd recommend eating prior to coming and enjoying some games. Drinks have an unusually large mark up price. As far as the games, there's a decent assortment to enjoy, including a couple VR experiences. The lads and I personally enjoyed 4 player Halo experience. Worth checking out if you're looking f
It's an experience, but it's probably best to leave this one to the tourist. The food is good but expensive, definitely not casual dining prices. Serves are lovely but wait times are long. There is a lot of noise from the bar area and the game area, which I've always been sat in between the two so there was not much casual conversation going on. This is not a family restaurant type of establishment which is what I was expecting from my experiences at other Dave and Busters. This is an entertainment center.
Food was great but they still put onions even though I asked not to. Everything else was great. I'd blame that one on the kitchen staff. Place was clean and games were fun.
Waited 25 mins at the table just simply waiting for someone to ask me what drink I wanted. No care in the world when it comes to the the service of the customers food wise. As a tier 4 member I sat and waited with zero regard from any workers. I simply got up after 30 mins of zero service provided and left! Do better!
I didn't order any food or drinks at my first visit here, I just played in the arcade and it was a blast. Huge range of games from a classic Pac man arcade cabinet, several VR games, lots of racing games and my absolute favorite 4 player Halo shooter. The prize corner has actual good prizes and that's awesome.
Way too loud and the ?shareable? appetizers are are for one person. Comparing the food we got from pictures at other locations you can tell they have reduced the food you get at this location. Aside from the food and noise level the games were fun and different. About 80? per person per play for a value buy of the credits. $7 for a pint of blue moon beer. Take that as you want. $11 and $12ish for each ?shareable? app. They tasted great though.
Ordered 2 margaritas at **HAPPY HOUR** Expecting to pay 5 dollars per drink.... 36 DOLLARS for 2 of the smallest margaritas I've ever had. Staff would not fix my tab either. Arcade is fine but stay away from the bar, menu does not display prices and they clearly do not honor the happy hour prices.
While our very own Dave & Buster's Entertainment Center is still in the construction stage, based upon my experiences in several other D & B's, there will be plenty of interests, good food and what should be a safe place for all to forget the cares of the world and simply have fun! No, like anything else good in life, it's not a cheap excursion. The positive side is this can be a great family event.
We played games and then sat down to eat and the other was messed up by cooks not waiter. We just ate it because it had already took too long. The manager came by and asked how was everything and we explained to him and he just said there is no guarantee unless we go back there and tell them every special order. Needless to say we won't go back to that location. I was superised since it is newly opened.
Very fun place to eat drink play and watch. I won a lot of tickets and everything worked great and nothing was malfunctioning. All the games are new and inexpensive. Games are around 3.7 to 7.5 chips and then some are 8.8 to 11.9! The food was fresh and delicious. UPDATE: (DECEMBER 6TH) ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE APP IS GLITCHY RIGHT NOW BUT after contacting them they said that they are working on fixing it. 5 stars will be back soon
I was with a party. They brought all the food out at once and while my food was not cold some of it was. My food was delicious. My citrus passion was watery and there was no taste of alcohol. The captain Jay tried his best to help. Marquita was a wonderful and accommodating host. There were no coke, sprite, not root beer. They brought food to the table and then came and took it back. I would not recommend going on a weekend after 6. There was a two to four hour wait. There was even a wait time with a reserv
This is a place that you take your kiddos and enjoy time together. It is not really a place you would go to enjoy a quality meal. The food is bar food, so it's a hit or a miss. The games are fun but some are broken at times. The staff is like the food, hit or a miss. We have had some really kind and helpful staff but we have also had some pretty terrible and unattentive staff. Edit: $12 for a (ONE) glass of wine, ummm, no thank you. Oh AND a $3 ACTIVATION fee on a game card?!?! Kart Ranch or even Cajun fas
Wonderful place!!! My Family and I had so much Fun!!! The employees were so nice and friendly, everything was so clean and the selection of games were amazing! We can't wait to go back!!! Highly, Highly Recommend to everyone!!!
Went on a Tuesday night. It wasn't crowded, which was great. A couple of games weren't online to use but still had a nice selection. Have been twice since they have opened and will be back. Have not tried the food or seinks at this location yet but will be back.
The staff was amazing! They were quick with our food and very attentive. Our waitress, I think her name was Liz, she was awesome! I was very impressed!
Not for me but great for kids , lots of games and lots of noise. Fifteen dollars for a nasty mixed drink is nuts . Only double burgers , too much food for this old man. It did taste good though.
Excellent customer service, Excellent food, Great prices! The Store manager is an absolute dream to work with, the servers are attentive, fun, professional, and definitely deserve raises. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of and satisfied! We've held a few of our company events there and every time we go they level up even more than the last time. We'll definitely continue coming back!
I want to preference by saying I've only gone when the business isn't packed. The waitress who served us was very nice and attentive, games are fun, and awesome prize room!
I honestly didn't expect a place like that to have amazing food but it did. The games were fun! We had an absolute blast. Just wish it didn't cost that much to play.
The one in Nola is far better then this place! Nothing I mean nothing is right from the workers to the food! I don't know who is running this place, but if they want to stay open better restaff quickly! definitely wouldn't recommend the Lafayette Location, not even to my dog!
Took the kids for a fun hour of game play. Afterwards, we ordered the delicious Cheese Stick Stack appetizer (we had a redemption code). Peter helped us out and went above and beyond. He has exceptional customer service, was friendly, and our food came out really fast. Thanks Peter for representing what the atmosphere of Dave & Busters is all about. We will be coming back!
So disappointed. The system is off in the dining room. So much confusion in the drinks and food coming out. We brought friends and I was so embarrassed. We probably won't be back
We went there recently and emily was our server and she was phenomenal! So attentive and the food was fantastic! Will definitely return!
Zero stars! I booked a hotel for 2 days based on the Dave and Busters being close. Big fail! We were in there 20 minutes after being sat and never saw a server on the floor! We walked out and left and spent several hundred elsewhere. This place needs help. How can you have a restaurant of this size with 1 server! They were slow too and it should not have been this way
We went 3/19/24 at 9:30pm for a date night and we had a blast! Our waitress Lace was phenomenal and very attentive! We got the blueberry lemonade cocktail and it was really yummy, but would be even better with a little more blueberry! I like a lot of blueberry tho?? We got the $75 game card with the $8 power up and played till 11:30 and still have 140 more credits! Overall, our date was very fun and we enjoyed our time!
Stood at host stand for 10mins with no one acknowledging us. Finally someone walks up still didn't even get a ?hello how are you today??. We were then brought to a table, sat there ANOTHER 10 minutes with nothing. We finally walked out. Worse service EVER!
Went Saturday at open, didn't eat there. But spent two hours playing games. It's a bit pricey for my budget, and the game credits system is weird... You can get the same amount of game credits for $30+$6 if you choose to "supercharge" your card(the +$6 is supercharged price), that you would get for a base rate of $50, (which is roughly 300 credits...) Games were fun, though, and the prize room has some really cool stuff. Plenty of "gamble" type games for tickets and a lot of variety of first person shooter
Went with my son it was fun only problem they have is when the machines start counting out tickets u can't ise them until its done and that kills to much time this is something that needs to be fixed other than that had a great time. Did not eat here so not sure on the food
I enjoyed my visit! I reserved a table, so seating was quick, but there was a wait before a waitress came to the table to take our order, but once she got there our waitress was awesome! The food was good! Came out fresh and hot and the strawberry watermelon margarita was awesome. It was loud but I expect an arcade to be I wouldn't expect anything different. I enjoyed my experience and cannot wait to go back.
This is only for the arcade side** Haven't had food/table service here, so can't comment on that. This has been a fun place to wander and play on casual dates. ALmost all the games are functioning when we've gone, everything is clean and there is space to move around even when it's busy.
Loving the new funko pop machine they have there. A bit pricey per swipe but a nice skill game that let's you leave satisfied with what you get.
Small for a dave and busters. Crowded on a Saturday night. Cool atmosphere. Had to wait in lines for each game kinda killed the mood. Not enough variety on the tvs. Service was alright, seating was limited so we sat at the bar. Clean up staff was not on point there were piles of trash and plates from previous customers everywhere, we had to move some as well just to sit. Not to mention I got a rash on my arms and elbow, I can only assume it was from the bar.
First time at the Lafayette location and it was nice ???? We had a couple appetizers (cheese sticks & pretzel dogs) and they good! I would recommend them both. (Garlic aioli sauce for the dogs) Waitress and manager were both kind and helpful! The gaming area was cool! Fan faves were Connect4 ??, dodge ball & ?? game. ??
The only good part of the experience was our server doing her best with having three big tables. Food wasnt great one of the party got a dirty cup table was kinda nasty bathroom was gross pretty sure they forgot that we where waiting for a table when one of our party went get a beer at the bar. Host acted like he didnt see one of our family members at the stand for a solid minute this place has given two sub par experiences definitley not going back the wait staff is the only thing there that deserves 5 s
Wonderful place with great food and awesome games. They some of the newest games and entertainment available to play. The trade in area has some of the best products to select from than any other entertainment center in the city and you can earn them very quickly. The staff were extremely nice and quick to take care of you while you ate. The food was a lot better than I thought it would be. My only issue was they didn't have Yuengling available at the bar. I hope they bring it back so I can continue to vis
Dave you were truly a great experience, gonna miss you. Claw machine is rigged
This five star reviews is explicitly for Elizabeth Parker the bartender at Dave and Busters. She is so funny and she made some of the best drinks I've ever had. Even if I wasn't going in for the games or for the food I'd come here just to have another Dangerous water made by Elizabeth. She gave me some great game recommendations and let me know what I could eat on the menu with my food intolerances. She definitely made this experience worthwhile even though the prices are kind of high :)
The arcades were awesome, but then we wanted to eat some nachos and getting a table was impossible. Almost all tables were empty, but they made us go through the host, register and wait 15 minutes even though we already had been there playing for an hour already. When we asked for our table after waiting for a while, the host said: ?I need to see all the people that will sit in that table?. After listening to that, we just decided to leave. I don't know why it's so complicated just to sit down and eat.
We arrived a little late for a birthday party. We told the hostess that we were there for that party and asked to go sit with them. The person just stared at us mumbling something. They did not move whatsoever so we went to join the party. Ten minutes after sitting down the manager comes to us and says we would have to go back to the hostess so that we could be sat somewhere else away from the party because the people at the party had checked out two minutes after our arrival. All this even though the table
Something has got to get better! I don't think all the franchises can be run like this one. The hostess took down my number to text us when a table was ready....there were 5 occupied tables and ALL the rest were empty...she said it would take 10 minutes...after 15 minutes, I inquired and she said 75% of the people for my table had to be there with me...HUH???? We WERE there, waiting!! After 20 minutes waiting. We left and won't be back. There are too many other places in Lafayette to take kids. Don't waste
Lace is the best!!!! We love coming here and everything she has recommended has been phenomenal!! She definitely makes our dining experience awesome with her kindness, super cheerful attitude, and attentiveness! There are plenty of games to keep the kids occupied so I can enjoy some beers. I used to go to the Dave and Busters in Hawaii, and this one here in Lafayette does not disappoint! Ask for Lace!!
We went today for lunch. Both of us had the chicken strips and it was enough food for me. It's a small food menu and very big drink menu. The bar is huge, the vibe is cool, and good music. The most comfortable chairs too!! The service was just okay, and not anything like you would expect for an opening week. I had a bottle of Dos Equis, and for some reason they were already out of draft. My boyfriend had Stella on draft and said it tasted watered down. The server wasn't friendly, but she also wasn't rude. W
Glad to have something new to do in Lafayette! Went for the first time and ordered drinks and food the first time the server came to our table and waited 45+ minutes for drinks to come. A manager came over and made it right which was appreciated. After this we went to purchase game cards. I asked since it was half off Wednesday?s if I got a certain ticket option I would be paying half the price. The cashier gave me my ticket after running my card and I realized it was full priced and he said the games were
I wish I could give this place a 0 star review. I had reserved a table for my kid's birthday party. I get there and they told me there were no tables available, didn't matter I had a reservation. Didn't give any estimated time, never apologized, never texted me to give me a table. DO NOT go to this place, they don't care to leave you standing with people coming for your birthday party. They do it on purpose, they want you to go spend money on the games while you "wait" on a table they won't ever give you.
After being seated and placing our order, we waited an hour and a half for our food. The burger tasted like a greasy grill and the wings were dry. The food was extremely over priced for the quality. Our waiters barely checked on us and we had to constantly try to flag her down for basic things. At the end when paying our tab she then kept the remaining amount that was on the gift card as a tip without asking. Over all the dining experience was absolutely horrible and would not recommend.
The worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. Stated they couldn't sit us at a table for 45 minutes. We asked if we could sit at the bar. Sure. Walking to the bar we could see about 60% of the tables were empty. Waited at the bar to get menus and a drink for 15 minutes. Wave a bartender down and ask for menus and she slapped them down and walked off and didn't even ask me if she could get a drink for us. Finally a bartender from the other side asked if we had been helped. This was about 25 minutes int
Extremely overpriced, the arcade is absolutely nothing special and the portions of small. It's nothing but capitalist degreed and will not last. For Friday night there were less than 18 people in the building. That's not a good sign
It's a nice place in a great location. The layout is quite a bit different than other D&B's I've been to. In my experience the food was awful, but let's be honest..... who's going there for the food? The staff was very polite and tentative. Would definitely visit again.
Came for Mother?s Day 2024 and it's the ABSOLUTE WORST 1st experience ever! The hostess couldn't be bothered and didn't want to ask the anyone to clean either 2 of the empty booths when we asked for a booth and lied to us about why ? (we have a little one so don't like sitting at high tops) we sat in the restaurant for 10 min and no waiter come to our table so we left. This was soooooo disappointing and for a holiday? No excuse. Top Golf if right next door. I'd suggest you go there. The menus were sticky an
We dined in last Sunday. All food was excellent. We had nachos and pretzel dogs for app and burgers. Delicious burgers!! We even ordered Togo tonight (Friday) for burgers and they were just as good! Very surprised! The kids enjoyed the games when we went too!
First time there side where all the game are was good. Went we head to eat was horrible they seat us on a table a the waitress never show up. We ask to the girl in the front where was our waitress she says checking on that. Well she never came back to us at all. We wait 10 more minutes for them to came check on us never did. We ended living with out taking care.??
I give it a one star due to the fact the waitress wasn't really polite they was laughing and joking taking orders it makes y'all look very unprofessional tables with kids and adults it's not a laughing matter workers should take their positions more seriously and another reason I give yall a one star it's because of the fact that the manager interviewed me for an interview for a boh position face-to-face interview this guy never calls back today I found out he hired two dishwashers after meeting me that is
Racist as hell! Definitely in the top 10 WORST restaurants in Lafayette. I asked for a booth because I had my child with me and all the other seating is elevated bar stools and located near the blinding LED big screens. I was told only parties of five or more could use the booths (even though several booths were empty). We sat at the bar table and before our food arrived, separately for two people, they sat a two parties of less than five in the empty booths. Apparently, we aren't the right color for D&B.
All tables were booked, so we sat at the bar. Bartender Elizabeth was only worried about the 5-6 people in front of her. Ordered the pretzel dogs, came out almost still frozen, sent them back and waited another hour to get fresh ones. During our long wait trying to get Elizabeth's attention we waited about an hour in total for 2 drinks each 4 total. The bar was not full or overcrowded, just did not seem to be a priority or even a customer. Also was presented a check eveyttime we tried to order, weather it w
I brought my two boys who are both over 18 and we had a blast
Disappointed. Our 20 yo granddaughter wanted to come for her family birthday celebration. We arrived about 2:30 pm and we're told there would be an hour and a half wait. We noticed lots of empty tables but gave our name and number. After walking around watching the others playing the games, I went and sat on the bench by the hostess stand. When we were seated and I ordered a Dr Pepper, I was told they were out of DP. I asked our sweet waitress what else they were out of and she said root beer and lemonade.
My husband and I only played games this time around, so I can't say anything for the food. The games were really fun, though. I love the variety of games and the time you get to play them. There was a lot to do! Of course there were a lot of people, but it was Saturday, so that makes sense. Not so many people to ruin the experience and keep us from enjoying our time, though. The only two things were the front desk area. I can see where it could get bottlenecked. Not a lot of room on either side to get to wh
The service was atrocious. We asked the bartender, what was on tap and she came back and said "happy hour is at 4." They ran out of french fries and then were going to charge us for fries. If I had not said something, we would have been charged. It took almost 40 minutes for us to get a sandwich. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone to eat. If anything, bring your kid with some quarters and let them play the arcade.
The arcade is fun for the kids but I would recommend eating before you come. Hostess seated us and we left after 20 minutes of just sitting and waiting. Server never came to our table. If it was bust I could understand but there were only a handful of tables with people.
We went at 4pm on a Friday for a Christmas party. The food was delicious and the drinks were good. Gaming was fun however, once 7 o'clock hit the games were packed. We'd have to stand and wait for something to open. I honestly expected the gaming portion to be bigger. The facility was also extremely hot, we were sweating on the bar side before playing games.
Walked in on Saturday evening, seating was still available? hostess informed us that there is a 2 hr wait at 730pm. Asked to join the waitlist, she gave a spill about 3 texts and then we will be off the list. 2hrs passed? nothing.. 3 hrs passed nothing. Place closed and still nothing. We ended up leaving with children. This place needs new management, diversity and inclusion education and customer service training.
Service and food were horrible. Burgers were burnt and the management was extremely rude. Friday December 15th at 10:33PM was my first time going to Dave's and Busters. I wanted to treated my fiance to a nice fun time. Everything was good until we had to sit at the bar and wait for our burnt burgers. When we confronted the manager she acted as if a refund was to much ask for. I don't understand how she didn't understand that our burgers were burnt and we ran out of patience to wait for them to have to thaw
I've been waiting 25 years for Lafayette to get a Dave & Buster's. After giving up on the idea that we may ever get one, we finally got our very own. Tonight I took my daughter to check it out. Here's how it went: We walked in and were greeted by staff. They seemed genuinely happy to be there and to help us. We told them we wanted to eat before we went to play, so we were seated at one of the tables in a large dining area. This particular D&B has that atmosphere you get from the ones I've visited before (
So I know it's Christmas and things were probably crazy for the workers, but this Is the second time we have went and didn't like the food or service. It took forever for us to get a water and when we finally got our food, it was cold. Asparagus was not cooked all way ??. The beers were great, but really expensive. Also shareables are not enough for 2 people, we got the chips and dip and we had to order more chips(which they charged us for!) Just ridiculous that we only had one main meal, 4 drinks, a side o
Made reservations for a birthday and received confirmation. That afternoon. We had a few others wanting to join made attempts all day trying to call. 1 number did not work. The other number no one answered. At 1pm I went in to talk about the reservation and were very nice which is a completely different story when we would return. When we came back at 6pm we were denied our table, and refused to seat us until after 8pm. I tried to explain I made reservations and I even came in earlier that day. They didn't
2/10 experience. The games were fun but cost a lot of points. Some machines took our credits but were broken. The prizes were terrible. I spent 23 dollars for a small octopus plush and rubber bracelet. Everything was over priced. Why was a small candy 200 and up? Absolutely ridiculous. I want a refund.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
