First can't say enough good things about our trip to your Bowling Center. Food was delicious, haven't had a good burger like that in years, your ranch dressing is amazing. Tried the pizza and it was delicious. Service was excellent. Can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a fun place to bring the family this is it.

I had gone to the bowling alley with my husband and my husband?s dad and my little boy I had gone up to the counter to get a drink, and I had asked the guy what he had for drinks and you know what he told me that he doesn't have all day to stand around, even though I just asked him what drinks he had, then he went around the bar started cleaning stuff up, which was rude and disrespectful he had blue jeans on a black t- shirt and short grey hair and to remind you this was my first time coming here with my fa

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious (definitely try the cheese balls); they are out of this world. Bowling is so much fun and more affordable than the neighboring alleys. If you're looking for a great time, tasty food, and reasonable prices, COME HERE!

Good food and a fun experience would recommend if you are in the area. Expeasialy the funnel cake frys they are amazing

This is my home town bowling alley and it used to be great. I returned for a families birthday and the new owners were extremely rude, didn't allow bumpers since none of us were under 9 (claiming we would break them), and acted extremely rude when we came in with a party of 4 without a reservation (there were 7 lanes open). Would love to have the friendly atmosphere back. Severly disappointed.

Awesome small town bowling alley! Decent beer selection and great food. League nights are always packed and a lot of fun. The bar has its own entrance, so don't be afraid to go for just the food and drinks!

Order food the junior burger and I get home and there is nothing on my sandwich I call they was very rude and there words was it's just condiments!

The BPT was very good. The staff was great, we had a very large group and served quickly.

Have eaten here several times. Always fresh. Always quality. Of particular note, is their Reuben sandwich; get it with seasoned curly fries! I have tried several things across the varied menu; have never been disappointed. Their ranch is top notch.

I never write reviews but I was so mind blown at what I saw that I can't not. The people were very nice? however, we were placed right in front of the whole kitchen staff I began to notice that nobody, not a single person was wearing gloves, cooks, preppers nobody, not even the owner was wearing gloves or telling her staff to put them on, it was like she was completely okay with it. I then watched my waitress grab a lemon from inside the fridge with her bare hands and carry it into the kitchen to be placed

Apparently this establishment is under new management. The bowling alley itself is definitely what you would expect a bowling alley to be. Guys restroom definitely needs to be updated. We were grabbing a bite to eat and see some people in town. We ordered super nachos for appetizers. Every single topping on the nachos was cold. Cheese, meat, everything. I don't know what happened to service here. We dined here before no problem. We waited forever for our food, some of us got our food and the others at our table waited even longer for food. One order came wrong had to return and wait longer. We won't be eating here in awhile. And the salads could of came out first while we waited but they came late with meal. We had 7 people in our party.

What an awesome place to go. Had my son's birthday party there. All the employees were courteous and helpful. Food was fantastic. Very clean and cheerful environment. I forgot to bring candles for the cake and one of the employees ran to Dollar Tree to grab some for us! They went above and beyond to help our experience be enjoyable. We will be coming back more frequently to have supper and even bowl too! I highly recommend you try this place, even to just to get food.

Had not been to the comet bowl in quite some time. I took my grandma out for lunch today, and had one of the most unpersonable waitresses I have encountered in my 45 years. She did not say hello. Fast and friendly service, my husband Brent and I stopped in on his birthday for a bite to eat. Its nice to know that you'll always get great service and good food no matter what. Comet Bowl is under new ownership so the reviews you see that are 1 year or older are for previous owners. I've been there once since new owners took over not for the lack of wanting to go. I don't understand why they have the hours they have. Recreation time is Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday. All these times the bowling alley is closed. I would think they would get more business if they were open. The staff seems friendly but have no idea about the food now.

A must visit in Charles City! Great good and comfortable environs. Update: the quality of food has fallen off with the new ownership. If you read these comments, hire a cook who understands seasoning, please.

Wonderful place to get a tasty meal and to bowl a few games. My grandson had his birthday party there and it was great. My son said that it was a fantastic value for the money. I must say they serve the best Reuben sandwich in town. A+ business.

This is for my fellow Mason City residents. If you want to just do some bowling. The trip to Comet Lanes is completely worth it. The food is good and service for the bowling side and bar and grill side is great.

My double burger didn't have any mayo, ketchup, or mustard. There wasn't anyone there and the staff seemed sleepy.

I have relatives living in Charles City. When we visit, they all want to go to Comet Bowl to eat. It is no mystery why. The food is great and so is the service. Their burgers are terrific and you must try their deep-fried breaded tenderloin sandwich. None better.

one of the only food places open on a Sunday night... and I was impressed. good selection of food, super friendly bartender. bar seating as well as restaurant seating. 2 big TVs to watch sports on.... I would def stop here again next time I'm in town.

I was skeptical at first and was just looking for a close place to the hotel, but ya know the food was excellent! Great steak and sides. Even the lanes were nice and oiled. If I were in a league I would be more than happy to bowl on them anytime!

Clean, comfortable, good service. Had the walleye and other person had the sirloin" both were excellent. Normally I would expect iffy food at a place that is both a bowling alley and restaurant. The Comet Bowl was a very pleasant surprise.

I have been coming here for 10 years. It may not have all the bells and whistles of what you might call modern bowling alleys, the staff is courteous and the food is all expertly deep fried. They can accommodate large groups of over 100. This is always one of the teens favorite spots when we bring them here for youth camp.

Larger alley, 18 lanes. Set 3.50, shoe 1.50. Pool table, dart board, claw and arcade games. Actual restaurant in the front with 12 or so booths, several tables and counter seating. Prices very reasonable.

Good food. Like their soups and chili as well as pizza and meals. Always friendly. They still have the dining set with respect to social distancing which I appreciate.

The locals turned us on to this place. The restaurant is separate from the bowling alley and is more like a sports bar. The have great appetizers and sandwiches for a little more than MickyD's. Love the fried cauliflower.
