Coin-Op Game Room Temecula

Coin-Op Game Room Temecula

Reviews Summary

Coin-Op Game Room is a fun, nostalgic arcade bar in Old Town Temecula with great drinks, retro games, and solid food (especially fried pickles and gluten-free pizza). Many praise its family-friendly hours and free game Sundays. However, service is inconsistent—some bartenders are attentive and creative, while others are slow or rude. Machine functionality and space limitations occasionally frustrate guests. High ratings dominate for the unique vibe, but poor service or policies (like outside food restrictions) lead to lower scores. Ideal for groups seeking playful drinks and games, though hit-or-miss experiences affect some visits.

Customer Reviews

My husband and I went here on a Sunday night for a super rare date night (toddler parents), and we were pleased to find out it's family friendly until 8 pm! The games are super cheap. Free gaming on the last Sunday of the month. Margarita was ??????!!! The gluten free pizza slaps - had to take it to go because it got late. But, the service was amazing!!! Janel, you're great and we appreciated meeting you!!

The female bartender wasn't friendly. She was actually low key rude. We ordered a madori sour an a beer. She didn't even add the vodka to my drink. Went to play the skee-ball game an it took our money. When I let her know all she gave me was 50cents an was like she was by herself an had no one to help with games. Was excited to try this place but ended up disappointed.

This is my favorite place in Temecula! We brought the family to meet up with my in-laws for Wine Tasting and once I found this place, I couldn't wait to come back. My kids (16 and 8) are having a blast and actually eating! The beer on tap is great. My wife loved the Strawberry infused Gin mixed drink. Pizza, garlic knots, fried pickles and mozzarella sticks are all amazing! Makes me wish there was one in Phoenix! Anytime we come through in the future, you can be sure that the kids AND adults will want to co

This place is awesome. They let you taste beers before you order one (make sure you enjoy it) I also asked for a citrusy cocktail recommendation. The concoction was spot on!! Of course the arcade games are great as well

I love this location. On the corner, not hard to find. It can be great to come to during the week with not a huge crowd; Enjoyable to have openness to play a variety of games. On the weekend can be quite busy with lots of guys from the base there. Not a problem if you know how to put them down easy and don't have a jealous partner. Other than that the staff was friendly with a smile on their face. Lots of security to be prepared for anything. The bartenders always have great energy with spunky personalities

Just left here on a late-night Sunday. Found out the spot is family-friendly til 8 pm every day, and they have free games the last Sunday of the month. The margaritas are bomb and gluten free pizza was delicious!!! Janel is dope and we loved talking with her! We will 100% be back with the family.

First time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Great game selection for a smaller place. ALL of the staff was very inviting and knowledgeable about the menu. Bryan was our first encounter and he's was nothing short of spectacular and provided excellent service. This place dies not have your average bar food, you can tell the cooks put a lil love into the food they make. All in all this was 10/10 experience and we will most definitely be back when we are in the area. Thank you to the entire staff for m

Please for the love of god maintain your pinball machines. If you can't afford to hire someone to maintain them every two weeks at the least, then just don't have any at all. I understand wanting it for aesthetics but the longer these machines go undermaintained they will continue to deteriorate and be even more useless. Bar staff was incredible though, you guys are awesome.

Haven't tried the food here, but the drinks are the best!!! Hands down my top pick if I wanna play coin arcade games while drinking a cold beer or 1-Up mixed drink. Recommend going on the last Sunday of the month (might be wrong) to play free games. Cool hangout with friends and have a date here.

OMG. If you're in Temecula... YOU HAVE TO COME HERE. NOT ONLY the drinks fukn amazing.. BUT THE BARTENDERS make you feel like you're their long lost cousins. I came for one drink, stayed for 3 hours. MY first time here, definitely WON'T BE my last. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU bartenders ??????

A great place to bring family, friends, and couples for coin games, tasty food, and drinks. Ask for Mark as your bartender. He'll be glad to help you with a cold beverage and food . Overall, we had a good time, and fries were great ??! .

Modest little arcade-style bar in the area. Generally enjoyed my stay there and the selection of drinks and craft beers were exceptional. My only real reason I'm taking off so many stars for the review is the way one of the bartenders began yelling and lecturing both myself and my friend in front of our group because he asked if there was a certain liquor available for a cocktail. I understand that bartenders are supposed to break the ice with their fellow patrons but the bartender in question was a little

Totally awesome! We didnt know it but!- On the last Sunday of the month, it's free game play!???? We enjoyed food, had drinks and a bunch of fun! Tried the fried pickles and Nacho Pizza Pie- fried pickles could've been slightly more crispy but still really good and the pizza was definitely something I've never had before and was great! Either way, it was a great stop for a few hours where is 21+ (only on Sundays). The best part was having craft beers and craft seltzers plus food and the bill only being $64

The pizza was great the cocktails or mixed drinks they have there are delicious ???????? I was thinking it was going to be ah little bit bigger but it's fun and good selection on games. Definitely would go again!

Interesting new place in Old Town Temecula, the Coin-Op Game Room / Bar. Burger was good, place is filled with old school video games, pin ball machines and ball toss games. Definitely different, fun and glad my friend talked me into coming out to check it out.

What a legit spot! Got invited to check this place out on its soft opening and I can't wait to go back. All their games work, down to the last button. I hate going to arcades and finding out after you pay that the buttons or joysticks don't work. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, Pacman, the Simpsons, Deadpool Pinball, the list goes on. Mixed drinks are legit and original. Crafty beers on tap. Wings are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and flavorful. Staff was super friendly and the cliente

Fun little spot in Old Town Temecula with plenty of retro games and libations to choose from. Make it a quick stop for a game of SkeeBall and wager on who picks up the next tab or spend some time playing the pinball or video games and relive your childhood. Awesome place to visit.

Best adult arcade I've been too. The cocktail drinks and food were great. Whenever I come back this way. I'll definitely have to stop back at Temeculas' Coin-op.

I'm always hunting down barcades whenever I travel, and I'm happy that Temecula didn't disappoint. The vibe of this place is on point, I LOVE the decor, the chill open space, and of course the games and drinks! Definitely a must if you're bar hopping in Old Town????

Unbelievably rude customer service. Save your money. Food is OK, Games are nostalgic. Could have been a great place. Love the idea. Obviously poorly managed.

Good cocktails. Fun vibe. Not pretentious. A place to have a good time

I was in absolute awe when I walked in to this place! ?? Complete flashback to my childhood; 80's & 90's arcade games (Burger Time, Off Road, Mortal Combat, Street Fighter II, Simpsons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Froger, Galaga, and more!) full bar with wine, craft beer (great selection) and fun cocktails! 21 and over only! YAAAY! We have a place to be a kid! What really tickled me, not like everything else wasn't a flashback enough, on the TV'S they broadcasted old school WWF, Bob Ross, Gummie Bears ca

This was a super fun place. Took me back to when I was a kid. I loved the coin ops and the drinks were excellent. The crowd was mixed with young and gen x. I highly recommend that you come and try it out. You'll have a good time.

Such a cool place to go in Old Town Temecula on a Friday or Saturday night. Old school games. Fair prices. Good food, and great service. The bartender Sharaya was so sweet and friendly. Would go back just to get drinks from her. The staff was extremely friendly. I appeared to be in a little trouble, and they came right over to offer assistance. Definitely a great place to stop by and have a drink before going to dance.

Dope spot As an out of townee I loved it I'm old school so I played the Simpsons arcade and NFL blitz. Met some cool locals and chopped it up with them for awhile.

Excellent food, cocktails, drinks, and vibes. Great place to have fun as well as chilling with the environment. The staff is attentive and aware of the service they provide, and they deliver

Awesome atmosphere! Great food and really good drinks. Went there for a small birthday dinner and fun with my gfs friends and they all had a blast.

We went on Sunday (free play day) and had a great time. The space is a little small once it starts to get crowded. Regardless a good time for going out with friends or your significant other to relive some old school fun

Amazing drinks from the incredible Tai the mixologist. A one of a kind chemist/bar tender. Very creative with his specialty drinks. I've never considered alcohol as refreshing or delicious until that night.

These Coin-Ops are the best! It's a great atmosphere. Five dollars has never gone further in 2019!! Perfect for date nights or out with the boys

This is always my first pick when coming into Old Town to yo drinking. It's basically an adult arcade/bar. It's always busy enough to be fun, but not too packed that you can't play on any of the games. The bartenders are good at what they do and the food is pretty good from what I've tried so far. They also have an outside area connected to the bar that you can sit at, as well as tables around the building with a few pinball machines and things like that to play on if the atmosphere is overwhelming for some

Good fun for a couple hours. Cool pinball machines and Skee-ball!

Total nostalgia!! The drinks are good and the vibe is fun. Make sure to bring your ID, it's 21+ here, and they're strict!

Young Enimem bartender and I'll-climb-you like-a- tree security guard: you're hot! Thanks for a great night!

Fun place to stop by for drinks, food, and some old school games.

The Mario Kart machine wasn't working right, I couldn't throw my weapon's while I was racing. I got first place and had to use a coin to continue, What a rip off.

This was a different experience... If you have some good friends that you want to drink with and make up drinking games then this is a good fit. The bar was excellent, the food was good and the games were fun. The only issue I had was that the set up was lacking a bit. We had a larger group and we were not able to be at the same table, but we still had a good time.

My sister and I went and had a great time. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable when we were picking our drinks. LGBTQ+ friendly experience.

There was a very friendly staff there and they seemed to have an endless supply of everything me and my party needed.

First experience was really positive, the bar tender was nice. The second time visiting, it was still fun but it took us 20 minutes to get a couple beers and there were a lot of people but it didn't seem like it should have taken that long. It's decent overall, upbeat popular music and the games are fun but a little old.

Fun date idea to have a drink and play some arcade. Unfortunately there isnt much gaming and some of the games eat your coins up. ?? The bartender who served us was in a bad mood and looked tired of our shiz.. it was our first time there ??

First time visiting this place. I was hungry so I ordered a pizza slice not expecting much just satisfy my hunger. OMG I was blowned away how delicious this pie was, thin crust, crispy upper crust NY style! AMAZING pizza better than any around town. Never judge a book by its cover!! Highly recommend it!!

The last Sunday of the month is free play. 40 bucks on drinks for my hubby and I. We had a blast. Second time coming here and will definitely be back. Games were great and nostalgic. Bar tenders hustled and were friendly.

Food was tasty. Fun atmosphere, only place to eat in old Town temecula after 8 or 9 pm.

Small/easy to explore in one night. Delicious food and large variety of drinks. Friendly bar staff. Clean and maintained. Beautiful atmosphere. Felt like a kid again. I had a party of four go on a Thursday night. We were able to hop from game to game, even when it got busy. The crowd they attract are also friendly. My group wanted an alternative to Round 1 and this place won us over. There's no where else like it in the area. Please give it a try. We loved the drinks at the bar: Falcon Punch, Princess Peach

Good beer and fun games!! A must go when in Old Town Teme6

Second time at this barcade and the team never fails to give us an amazing time with a great atmosphere. Big shoutout to Ryan and Daj! Two of the BEST bartenders in the area.

Great craft cocktails. Amazing food. Always fun atmosphere patrons staff. Menu changes every months to keep it interesting. Family day weekends w free play games also great time with the kids.

I went into this establishment with four of my adult family members at 7:00 p.m. on a Wednesday evening. There were four men working behind the counter. After waiting for them to acknowledge us for much longer than it should?ve took, I spent $70 on five shots and a drink. Not ONCE did I receive a thank you or smile. The four men working continued to talk to each, ignore our group. I walked up all of our drink glasses because we never got acknowledged, our table was full of empty glasses, and we were essenti

The craft beers served are overrated. The bartenders can take a customer service course every now and then. Not everyone enjoys a gimmicky craft beer and would prefer a "regular" beer sometimes. Leave the attitude at home and simply say those aren't served. The food is disgusting. The classic arcades are great on the otherhand.

Not a ton of games as far as barcades go but enough for kids to have fun. Possibly the worst food I've ever had at any restaurant. I paid $14 for a 3.5" chicken sandwich with a stale bun and single "nugget". The chicken strips were mostly breading and black from being overcooked.

Service was lacking. Alot of the machines ate quarters. Small place with not much selection. Wouldn't let me eat a cookie I brought in from a local shop.

Came out here for the first time. Great atmosphere, great people, staff is very attentive, security guys are real cool great personality. Food was great, we ordered carne fries, pepperoni pizza and lemon pepper wings, it was the bomb!!! I will definitely be back with family and friends! Very welcoming. Met Pete, the owner very nice guy. Awesome place you just hang out and chill and play lots of games! Had a very great time. Come check it out, you'll definitely enjoy it all! ????????????????????????????

Great atmosphere, bartenders are super awesome! Drinks are professionally made properly which is a rare thing to find these days. The games are pay to play and the only reason for a 4* is there's not a giant selection of games but still had a great time!

If you're not a regular they treat you like you're a nuisance. Was ignored even though I was told I was next to order, he must have seen the annoyance on my face because I had one drink comped. The machines aren't really taken care of, tmnt arcade has unresponsive joysticks. Location way smaller than SD location and has the temecula culture that sucks.

I don't go here very often, but it's always a favorite when I hit up downtown Temecula. The drinks are always good and the staff is always fantastic. Good times can be counted on here.

Old town needed a place like this! Flashback arcade games to my youth while I am drinking a cocktail is the perfect blending of two parts of my life into one. Drinks are handcrafted and the food is awesome too. Kudos to the chef! Such a cool vibe and did I mention the games are only $.25? Well except for the pinball but come on.

Ran across this place randomly after brunch and stayed for 4 hours with friends. Had a great time playing old school games and having good beers and drinks. The mixed shots were premade and kind of whatever, but all in all a cool spot

This is a fun joint with an AMAZING bartender. We came here to grab a drink while waiting for a dinner reservation. The bartender made me a mocktail on the fly that was possibly the best thing I've drank this year. THANK YOU!

Came here expecting a similar experience to the one in San Diego, boy was I wrong.. I wasn't impressed at all. It's larger but with okay game selections. The photo booth is 5 dollars for 3 photos that give you no time to smile and look cute and it's super close to your face. The bartenders were not the friendliest. The 2 girls working on Sunday clearly saw us waiting and served everyone else before us. Didn't let that ruin our time though. We had a good time because we wanted to :) but the bar and environme

Spent new years at this place and it was an amazing night. All the games were free to play due to New Years which was a nice, especially with no cover. The rounds of drinks where reasonably priced and fast. All the bartenders were quick and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a night out.

Nice Arcade Bar in Old Town Temecula. It's not the biggest arcade bar you've been to but it's nice and fun. The food is really good, we had the Corn Dog Bites and Loaded Tots. The corn dogs are thick with a really tasty batter and quality dog inside...comes with an Ale Mustard (tasty) and ketchup. The tots are basically a "loaded" baked potato but on tots...cheese, bacon, green onions, and sour cream. The drinks are fun and unique. Ask for a "Dealers Choice" and you get what the bartender feels like...we ha

Fun place for all ages, great games and drinks

Friendly Bar staff.. games are old school classics. Eat at tables or bar top! For a gaming room prices were

Awesome!!! Wish they had more variety of street fighter 2 games, nut it's understandable, those games are over 3 decades old and hard to come by. The machines are in good conditions and buttons are responsive. Food and drinks are good, and speedy bar tenders that are very attentive.

The four games I played were broken but they did give me a refund service was great drinks were good okay priced when I'm back in town yeah probably stop in and have another drink and probably try Street fighter again

Fun little arcade, but games need some maintenance. Bartenders could also learn to serve those there instead of talking it up to the people who only ordered one drink. If you want a better experience, and probably better beer, go to 8-bit on Jefferson Ave instead.

Drinks were not very good to be honest. We tried several of their signature cocktails and they tasted bad. Food was OK bar food. Nothing great but it was edible. The games worked and were alot of fun.

Service was super slow food was like yoy ordered food at Chuck cheese. The atmosphere was like a poor arcade.

I always walk in when im in Old Town. Friendly staff with a good selection of beer. Love the bartenders and they always make great recommendations. Got recommended a german beer last time that I couldnt say greater things about, and for only $5 dollars a pint its a steal. Game selection isnt on par with places like Round 1 but its not trying to be. Best hangout you could go to for the price.

Such a cute arcade bar with amazing food! The fried pickles and corn dogs were absolutely delicious!

Adult friendly video arcade, bar, and grill. Had a blast. Highly recommend.

This place is a must spot to check out. We went there with our daughters and a friend., greeted immediately and felt welcomed into a totally new vibe for entertainment grab seating outside facing the side walk warm comfortable and spacious. The menu was excellent for sharing , drinks and bartenders were on point. Honestly my wife and i decide to invite friends who usually drive down to Oceanside to cone join us at Coin-op in old town Temecula . Wow

It's an amazing attraction bar, like if you're.looking to hang out and spend money..my bartender poured heavy so I can't say it's overpriced! But my date and I were quick to move on in our bar hopping adventure

First time here. Food was on point. The Asada Fries we're nothing special, it's what you expect from asada fries except everything is on point FRESHLY made. Fries was crispy and hot. Toppings felt freshly chopped. Meat delish. Good tap choices. Great bartenders. We didn't have cocktails but we sat at the bar and if looks indicate how good something is, my god they were tasty and made with love. One bartender stood out as the heart of the line, I didn't catch his name but he was black, muscular physique,

Never got to experience unfortunately. We walked in and it was VERY full. No place to sit, no chance to get anything at the bar, or ever hope at the games. We had to walk back out after trying it out. If only the place was a bit larger to accommodate the crowds they allow in. This was a Saturday night for reference. Might try a week night instead.

Super cute, loved the games.

Such a cool chill place to get drinks and play some retro games. Love going here!

We hada good time. It was a little difficult to get bar tenders so we could order drinks but once we did it was fast. Busy night didn't order food this time. Maybe try next time.

Had a little date night with the wifey about a week ago here. It was our first time here. Went straight to the bar to get some drinks before acting like little kids with all the games around us ahaha good vibes all around and I highly recommend this spot for date night/kicking it with the homies!

Very fun and on the last Sunday of each month all games are free. Drinks are very good, the "adult capri suns" are fire!!! Definitely check it out oh and the staff is great!

Love love love this place what a great concept. Brought me back to the 80s with pac man games ...had so much fun I even got along with my ex husband here. Fun environment. Great drinks. Fun games. Brings out the child in you again.

My first time at coin op was not impressed bartender was super rude. Selection of games ok. My first impression started with the bartender negative attitude and condescending personality. At that point I hung out for an hour and decided to leave along some folks I meet there experienced the same thing .

This place is alot of fun but my only issue I had was with the bartender who was more focused on putting on a show than serving. Took forever to get drinks even though it wasn't busy.

5 of us tried to go in and get something to eat on a hot afternoon but two of us had water bottles so they weren't allowed in. Very disappointed

Their food is awesome, their staff is electric, their drinks have variety, and the games are sincerely exactly what I personally miss from a classic 90s arcade. You've got your side-scrolling brawlers TMNT, your SF2/MK, freaking MEDIEVAL MADNESS pinball, the best pinball machine of all time hands-down, Area 51, Blitz 2001 (the definitive Blitz), so much more. I may be biased, but these sincerely are exactly the games I've always had fond memories playing. Only thing that could possibly make it better is if

A really cool place to take into your inner child, except you can drink a beer when you play now lol. It has plenty of nostalgic games to choose from. A very chill atmosphere. My husband and I had a blast.

Super cool and fun place! Service was slow tho. This was on their free game night. Literally had to wait 20 min for our first drink. Other nights the service is better

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
