So much fun. I needed an outing and this was it! Pure fun and escapism. Adults only hours, adult beverages and so many lights. Staff is helpful and friendly. A must do o. These cold, dark, rainy evenings. Pinballs, shooting games, hoops, and more.
Super fun! A good choice of new & classic games. They serve drinks all day but after 8pm its 21+ only until close & they check ID's
New arcade in town! My husband and I went in just to check things out for the kids and we can't wait to bring the whole family! The party room looks awesome too! Currently they allow food only from Ding How which is across the parking lot but all beverages must be purchased in-house at Coin Jam Jr even for birthdays. They do allow other outside food if the party room has been rented but it must stay in that designated room. We also can't wait to visit the 21+ Coin Jam up in Salem for a date night!
My partner and I visited with a couple of friends this past Tuesday, and we were very impressed! It really felt like we were getting a good bang for our buck, especially given that we were playing multiple games with four players, and it still kept us all busy for quite a while. At one point, my partner had lost his necklace and when we had gone to ask if anyone had turned it in at the counter, the bartender (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch) came and helped us start looking around and went as far a
The addition Albany has been waiting for? All the best games ?? Party Room (Free on Weekdays?!) ?? Large beverage collection to keep you hydrated ?? Bulbasaur ?? ^I'm petitioning for squirtle, though.
Great arcade with a decent variety of cabinets and pinball tables. Lots of neon. Nice selection of drinks alcoholic and non. Jessa at the bar was super friendly and very helpful when I had an issue with the card machine. Will be back to defend my high score on Metal Slug.
Prices were cheap and it was a good time! Good mix of new and retro machines. Claw machines were set up perfect.
Lame. This place does not have the nostalgic feel of the the original Coin jam in Salem. There's no wall of pinball machines, no corridor of retro games. No quarters. It's just lame. The storm put their servers offline and yet they still decided to be open and break the hearts of little kids who just wanted to hang out and play some games. I complained to the guy that was there a few times and he did nothing to make it right. He just kept saying ?oh I understand?. I know they have the ability to initiate
It was very fun, but the one thing I did not like about it is the transformers game
Please make Guitar Hero "buy one song, get one song half off". I.e one song is 6 credits, make the second song 3 credits. I humbly offer my 5th star and patronage as tribute. I beg.
Amazing concept for families. I'd give five stars except I have the following feedback: 1. Please include draft beers/cider. It's a much better experience to come and have a fresh poured beer while the kids spend a ton of money. 2. There are far too many "prize" focused games like claw machines and such. It seems like a 60/40 split. I totally understand the allure as a business, but we would have stayed at least an hour longer (therefore spending more on drinks) had the kids not spent all their money in 30
Great selection of games and bottled drinks. Staff is super cool and friendly. Big shout out to Andrew who immediately swapped out the damaged air hockey puck so I could continue winning. And I did.
I would rate higher, but the 2nd player joysticks on Super mario Bros wouldn't register the down movement. The games didn't work that I paid for and didn't get a refund. Also, after sitting in one of the game seats. I had some unknown black substance that would not wash out of my brand new pair of khaki shorts. The employees acted like they didn't even care.
We had so much tonight celebrating my future mom's birthday. Your selection of adult beverages was awesome!!! Voodoo Rangers and adult kombucha totally made our evening fun af!!! Thank you Sean and Andrew
Good prices and whatever but I was pretty darn disappointed by the assortment of games. No skeeball for example. And nothing gives tickets. :(
If you haven't come down yet you are missing out! So much fun! Brings back all the 90?s kid memories!
Old school to new school game, most age ranges would enjoy this place. You can have multiple cards with amounts on them without them affecting each other.
Staff were friendly. Some of the machines kept going down. It's smaller than you'd expect, & the games are pricey.
Really cool place to hang with friends and play some games!
Super cool arcade! Lots of new and old school games. My kids love it! Even fun for us adults!
Really overpriced for the games and the credits didn't load to my card and the attendant wasn't willing to make it right
Awesome to have another Coin Jam that allows kids. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very family friendly.
Clean facility. Limited on games, but enjoyed my time here!
It's awesome... Fun for adults and kids
Amazing place very fun for kids and adults
Friendly staff. Waaaaay overpriced tho.
Very nice environment, not too expensive and nice to be at
pretty cool place, canned/bottled beer and drinks avail for purchase, alot of good games, loved mario kart. place isnt huge, but had a great selection. really nice girls behind counter. $50 bought 220 credits, last 2 kids 2 hrs. average game was 6 credits. clean and fun. theres tables and chairs to sit at.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
