As a family of three Australians with no knowledge or experience with firearms, we had a great time here at the Cody Firearms Experience. Bruce was very welcoming and informative and very knowledgeable and helped us choose which guns to shoot, as well as explaining their history and how they worked. They had a great range to choose from. It felt all very safe and professional as he guided us how to fire a gun. One of the highlights of our US trip.

Fantastic, Bruce had a great level of knowledge about everything I shot and I could tell safety was a top priority here which didn't take away from the fun :)

It isn't every vacation day that an event will leave an enduring fond impression on you and your family. We were so impressed with how much knowledge Junior had of all the weapons and even giving us anecdotes about them as well. We felt more than confident after he talked and walked us through the firing process. Junior helped make our trip even more memorable with this excellent experience. Cody Firearms Experience Wow! We stopped in to see about shooting a Gatling Gun and a WWII 30 caliber machine gun. Alex was great! He was friendly, fun and informative! Alex explained each gun as we stepped up to shoot. I loved his idea of shooting our new t-shirts with the Gatling gun, great souvenir. Definitely an anniversary gift to remember! So much fun!

Love going to this place. It'll be my second time in two years. I recommend everybody to go. The fire arm displays are just out of this world. The native Indian display was awesome, too. It's a must-see.

The crew at CFE were phenomenal! My son picked out a couple old west guns and I got on the Browning m1919. Through the entire process the guys were professional, knowledgeable, safe and good natured. If you find yourself in Cody with some free time check em out!

A wonderful, safe and professional experience. The selection of firearms you can choose from is impressive. Wyatt was a great instructor, explaining the history and function of each firearm. I would highly recommend the CFE. It's more than a gun range with history, as well as the taxidermy on display. Being able to shoot full auto was a blast. What a cool experience! We are a family of firearms and history enthusiasts and this was such a fun day! Took the whole family (kids ages 10, 12, and 14) and the kids each shot a couple and the adults did as well. Jim was our RSO and he was FANTASTIC! So patient with the kids in teaching them how to fire each one and encouraging them all the time! We stuck to some of the more "historical" fire arms (except our 10 year old). I visited here to shoot a 1851 Navy cap and ball. Junior was my guide and had a wealth of great information about the gun. I mentioned I was thinking of buying one, and he provided insight on cleaning and the do?s and don't?s of having a powder gun (you put gun powder in the chamber along with a small wad and finally a bullet as opposed to a cartridge). We stopped in after driving by. They were able to accommodate us. My son and I both chose 3 guns and he chose to shoot the Gatling gun. The staff was friendly and gave us background on each gun we were about to shoot. Safety was A HUGE part of the experience. I would recommend this place for anyone. Experienced shooters or people who have never shot a gun before will enjoy their time here.

Nick is just of another level. Nice person, humble and professional he got us information about each firearm. We were beginners and he helped us to choose the right gun for every of us. The place was clean and neat, and the shooting room was real, real safe. They made up everything to let us shot in the safest conditions. Worth a look. Shot a tommy gun and worth every penny. Got the holey t shirt as a souvenir, great for anyone - any age - gun enthusiast or not. If you like the old west and history you will get a lot from the staff and the small museum inside at no charge!

I have to admit my husband ?talked me into ? going since I'm not exactly a gun enthusiast but I had a blast! Mainly due to our instructor Wyatt who was so friendly and very patient. He made it a great experience. The showroom was very well done with something for everyone. Overall a great thing to do during your time in Cody.

This establishment is incredible! Staff go above and beyond and are so knowledgeable and professional - plus the prices are fair. They took their time to explain, and walk us through which firearms are best to use per each person's experience. 500% recommend, hit this spot then the brewery after!

As Aussies, this was a cool experience! Our guide Matt was just wonderful. Careful, supportive and excellent with people who have never had the opportunity to do this. It was such a great experience shooting the Gatling gun that I ended up buying one for myself! Paul and his staff are the best! I highly recommend you go visit and shoot with them, throw an ax (so much fun and easier than you think) or see their collection of animals. Electric shooting range for the whole family. I just can't say enough about how great this place is. Even if you don't participate they have a comfortable and relaxing seating area to just visit. If you miss it you're missing out!

It was an excellent experience. I was able to fulfill my dream of shooting an M16. The facilities are amazing. The instructor was very careful, nice, and they have a very good level of security. I hope to come back someday. Thank so much!

Saw the place on google while looking for things to do in Cody and I'm very glad I took the opportunity to visit. They have very friendly and welcoming staff, a big assortment of guns to chose from at a great price, an appealing range with easy-to-understand range rules and great gun safety. Overall an amazing and very fun experience, I couldn't ask for a better first time shooting.

Loss of fun stuff here with a staff that is knowledgeable and confident, but not arrogant like a lot of gun shop employees. Ace throwing is a good time as well, and the arcade fun shoot ( uses laser technology) is fun for kids

For someone that has never shot a handgun before Junior made me feel relaxed and knowledgeable about how to properly handle a handgun the right way. I was very scared but having Junior there talking me through it helped a lot. My husband reinsured me that I can do this and having him by my side helped me to have the courage to be able to do this experience. Thanks for a good experience.

Coming from Australia we have tight gun controls so when we spotted this place from across the road I thought it worth a look. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the opportunity to shoot firearms that we don't have access to in Australia was great fun. A big thanks to Junior for not only making it fun, but giving me an education at the same time.

My Girlfriend and I had never shot a gun before and were interested in shooting some western era guns. With great instruction Alex helped us calm our nerves and we had a great time shooting a winchester and a revolver. Fantastic experience would absolutely recommend to anyone. Fantastic experience! My instructor Mathew was extremely knowledgeable about the guns I shot and made the whole experience amazing. As a Canadian we are limited by our government as to enjoy activities like this so thank God for places like Cody Firearms Experience and states like Wyoming that still believe in the 2nd Amendment.

What a blast! Although I've shot many firearms, including Class III (?machine guns?) before, I had never fired a Thompson submachine gun, or a Gatling gun. That's right, a Gatling gun! Scott was my RSO, and did a great safety briefing, and a pre-shoot briefing on each weapon, without either talking over my head or talking down to me. Cody Firearms Experience was one of the best things we did while visiting Cody. Our instructor was very nice and explained everything we needed to know about the shooting experience and the gun we chose. For being a beginner I felt very comfortable and relaxed with this experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and it is a good bang for your buck! We booked an appointment, came in and got to shooting! Definitely recommend even if you are a beginner!

This exactly how a shooting range should be ran. Customer service and staff are excellent. Very friendly and accommodating to brand new and experienced shooters alike. They make you feel very comfortable and safe during the whole experience. The price was very reasonable in my opinion. Considering the cost of everything now day I believe it's a very good deal to shoot some very expensive firearms. Put your politics aside and go experience some very cool pieces of history at this place.

Had a wonderful time! The guide was easy to follow and really nice. He helped all my kids shoot the Winchester and was very patient.

First time shooting for me (Glock 9mm) and it felt very safe. The staff was very helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. Good recommendations too for my partner who wanted to try something bigger (M4 full auto). Overall fun experience!

First time shioting and it was the BEST experience. They are extremely knowledgeable about guns and safety is their priority. It was so much fun. Our instructor was Casey and he was awesome!!! His instructions on how to properly handle a firearm, the safety precautions he gave us and all the rest of the instructions made me feel completely comfortable handling the firearm. First time ever shoot a gun, had a great time for a low cost. I got a great explanation from a personal guide who ran me through the process. The gun I shot got a barrel issue which couldn't be fixed so they had me pick another rifle to shoot for free. Excellent customer service and good safety and security.

I took a brief class and fired off some rounds at their indoor firing range. My instructor was very knowledgeable and I learned so much! They are very safety conscious and friendly. This is a great place. I also bought bear spray and they gave me advice on that too. The service you receive here is amazing. Most places these days just don't have time and don't care about you. Its rate to find such great service.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to CFE. Visiting from the UK, it's just not possible to access a place like this back home. I chose to shoot an M1 Garand, the Thompson sub machine gun and a Glock 38 pistol. The staff were excellent. Calm and patient with their instructions to a slightly nervous, novice shooter. An experience many might like to try, whatever your views on firearms. Thanks to Junior in particular.

This isn't you're every day experience. It's hands on with history. Our family had an exceptional time with Levi and Craig. They thoroughly explained the origins and use behind our selection of historical firearms and answered a bevy of questions. And while treating us with charm, safety was front and center. I'd definitely recommend this as a must stop, as it was such a unique experience!

Amazing experience! The gatling gun was pretty underwhelming, but who's going to pass up a chance to shoot a gatling gun? The Tommy gun, on the other hand, was an absolute riot. Matt was the expert that helped my partner and me, and he was knowledgeable, funny, and very professional. Place is as western as it gets and you should definitely check it out if you find yourself in Cody!

Two years ago I shot an ar15, this year I shot a dmr700. My kids shot a glock. I will always make arrangements to stop here every couple of years. And yes, you can shoot a gatlin gun

No possible complaints from our experience. My wife and I went here on our vacation. We had no issue booking an appointment. Immediately upon our arrival, the two gentlemen were exceptionally professional and personable. Each firearm we shot came with a historical background and instructions on use. The facilities are excellent for recreational shooters or folks, like us, trying to shoot historical firearms. We can not recommend CFE highly enough.

The range master was excellent at instructing my kids who have different levels of experience. The history lesson of the guns we shot was great and so was the shooting. Would recommend this for anyone.

Had a great time experiencing what it felt like to fire both a Thompson machine gun and an early model gatling gun. Quite an unique experience. Bought my son a "Cody Firearms Experience" tee-shirt full of holes created by my firing of the gatling gun. Definitely worth your time to stop in and fire a round or two.
