Good happy hour with $5 Wells. Wish they sold merchandise... Would have loved to get a sticker and shirt or hat. Loved the games. You need to use tokens to play. The decor is awesome.

I went in when it was totally dead but the vibes were really cool and they had their own in-house DJ seamlessly mixing tracks. I didn't get a chance to play any of the games but I will definitely be back with friends.

The bar was cool but unfortunately it seemed a lot of the games didn't work and stole your money, had faulty buttons, etc. The place seemed more like it was a bar first and the arcade games were added as an after thought. It was very quiet on a random weekday night until about 9pm when a DJ and small crowd got there which was very very loud. Of course it's a bar in the downtown Tucson area, so that's somewhat expected and no complaint there. Just be aware if you're expecting a chill, cozy arcade bar vibe, i

Preface: i came in for the games and not much else. Cool selection of games, but they really need some maintenance. The pinball machines especially. Tokens got eaten, balls kept getting stuck, resulting in lost games. Would love to come back and play more, provided those issues were rectified.

One of my favorite bars in downtown. If I ever don't know where to go for a drink after getting separated from my group of friends, I always end up there to hang out for a bit and play a few games.

I love Cobra! The pinball machines are so fun. Drinks along with friendly bouncers and bartenders is a great combination. DJ is always on point too. They know what most of their 25-35 year old crowd likes! So keep on playing that 2005-2012 bangers!!

Good drinks, fun games, cool people with some nice vibes. The DJ did a great job and keeping things alive. I had a good time dancing and meeting new people. Cheers to the staff and security who never get enough credit for helping us all have an enjoyable night. I'll be back.

The selection of arcade games here is incredible. Pinball, Dance Dance Revolution, NBA Jam, Star Wars Trilogy, Sunset Riders, and many many more. Games use tokens and are very reasonably priced. This location is two story, large bar area with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Full bar and a fun selection of specialty cocktails worth trying. Great atmosphere.

About 10 pinball machines along with an assortment of 30 different games. Friendly staff and big selection of beers on tap. One machine had a bad coin slot and the attendant handed me some tokens while they fixed it. A must visit for the arcade enthusiast.

DJ was popping tonight! The place was awesome! If you're a single female, you could find your match here ??

This has got to be the coolest, freshest new bar in downtown! Never have I seen such an incredible concept and combination executed so beautifully in complete harmony! All the retro arcade games you could imagine, and played at the best possible price! Every game costs only a quarter, and the music played by the DJ is all retro hip hop, R&B, and the dance floor is danced all night! Looking for a fun place to hang out, look no further than the Cobra Bar, sick a great and fun bar idea, and there is a game for

During the weekend, they let more people in than they should. This is a very small place but as the night progresses, this gets packed. The dance floor is right on the way to the bathroom, so its almost impossible to dance and enjoy yourself because there's so many people just trying to walk through. If you're at the bar trying to get a drink, people are walking through to get to the dance area so it's just super uncomfortable and crowded here. The bathrooms are big but they're usually extremely dirty.

As far as their pinball goes...one of the most frustrating places I've flipped pins. Kinda sad considering they have quite a few of premium stern machines without the insider connect hooked up. There's no way to contact their pinball machine operator which adds to how bad the pins play. Besides Attack from Mars, that was okay.

Old school fun! Came here with some coworkers in town for the week, we had an entertaining time. Lots of old school games to keep you going for a while. Many are single player but also saw some two-player and maybe six that accommodate up to four players, so bring a small group and some cash. The ATM was broken and the machine to dispense tokens only takes $1, $5, $10, and $20. I put in a $5 and we (three of us split) had enough tokens to goof off for maybe 60-90 minutes? Be sure to end your night with mul

About half the arcade games are broken or not on drink prices for decent music was good

It's great ?old school? video game/arcade fun on 2 levels, with a nice big bar on the bottle level slinging lots of draft beers to help boost your game! Right on the corner of Congress and Scott in downtown Tucson. Great for a date or to meet friends. It's a little dark inside, but hey, the games look better when it's dimly lit. VictorB

This is not an arcade bar, this is a bar with arcade games. I think that is an important distinction for anyone looking for an arcade bar to understand. Game are cheap with is a plus!

Great hangout spot! I got the pleasure to work here for a few hours and the staff was friendly, and I had a great time! We had a Promotion where we were giving away free merch as well!

First time here and brought my friends for a girls week! The staff was AMAZING!! They were fun, easy going and kind after all of our shenanigans! When I'm back in Tucson I'm definitely coming back for more! Thank you for making our girls trip a memorable one!!

Fantastic atmosphere of a favorite childhood arcade accompanied by an awesome bar. The bar is very easy to navigate, meaning the specials and what's on tap is easy to find. The staff are very approachable and attentive. A great mix of modern and retro games!

Not a ton of arcade games. Saw a lot of vendors inside the establishment. Would go back for drinks, maybe, it was okay. Not quite what I was expecting.

Favorite party place they always take of us there. Love you guys !!!

What a fun place! They've done a top notch job with the vibe and decor at Cobra. Great selection of classic arcade games, pinball, nice drink selection, and staff was friendly and quick to serve. This is just what Downtown Tucson needed.

A great concept for Tucson. Enjoyed hanging out with my brothers and son. Nice game selection and drink selection. I like that I can play video games and there are no kids around. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the atmosphere.

More like a 7/10 than a 3/5. A nice space with some cool games, but ultimately the age of the games are really starting to show. Distorted CRTs, misaligned shooter games, and other subtle problems are creeping in. I love these old games just as much as anyone else, but I'd rather some of these be shelved until a thorough refurbishment can be done. They might benefit from some newer arcade experiences like Killer Queen and Mario Kart Arcade. As for the Bar - it's fine! I was drinking water, but my wife en

Best new bar spot in town. Deft get here early if you want to be let in. They limit how many people can be inside at a time and for good reason, place gets super packed and not a lot of room by the arcade. Keep in mind the games are cheap to play so there is always a wait for a game especially the popular ones. The games take tokens so bring them dollars to feed into the machine. The themed drinks are a good choice to go with if you want to experience it all. Love the covered patio if you need some fresh ai

As a fan of the Phoenix Cobra, I was shocked to find one in Tucson! I had no idea it was here! If you've been to the one to Phoenix, you know what to expect. If you haven't, you're in for a good time. They have a plethora of arcade cabinets, from old classics to some new standouts (They have a Cuphead cabinet!?). Check their specials in advance, as some nights are free to play, or offer tokens with drinks. Very cool.

I don't know about the food or service, because I was busy playing pinball and Centipede, like I was back in 1981! I will be back, lol.

Cobra is a go-to choice for having fun with a few friends. It's pretty laid back early in the evening, but becomes almost like a club by 9ish. The music isn't too loud and people are mostly drinking and talking, so it's more chill than other nightlife options. They've made good use of their floor space and have a good selection of games. There are some real gems here from the 80's and 90's. Plenty of great multiplayer game cabinets so you and three friends can hash it out. They have a small drink menu, an

Good place to play some arcade games while having a drink. The drink sometimes is a hit or miss I don't know what bartender confuses a rum and coke with a coke and tequila is beyond me. Other than that the music is sometimes garbage but must?ve been a mid night. Other than that it's a nice little hang out spot.

If you are a fan of drinks, atmosphere, music, people, bi-level bars and of course classic arcade games, this is the place for you. A great hotspot for all ages. We had a blast!

This barcade is pretty awesome; the drinks are delicious, the games take me back to when I was a kid, and the atmosphere is pretty great. My only problem is that after 9, you either have to stand outside to be able to hear yourself think or even talk to the person next to you OR be assaulted by the barrage of shitty DJ music that's probably more than 85 decibels. I'm trying to beat my high score on Galaga, not go deaf. It's like they're trying to be a dance club that has absolutely no room to dance. Be a ba

Very cool, trippy bar, wish they played more electronic music

Cool bar! Fun games, great staff, good drinks. Knocked a star for high prices on pinball and broken games. The bartender gave me some coin for the broken games and wrote down what I found wrong with them. Fun place to go if you want to do more than just drink.

Very cool place if you like vintage arcade games. They are only a quarter each and most games are functioning most of the time. Brings back lots of memories! I do wish, however, that kids would be allowed during day time hours. It would be fun to show them a bit of history of gaming

Old school classics from 80's and 90's. A must if you love old school and beer! An excellent Arcade!

Great Barcade! They have plenty of the classics like frogger, dig dug, galaga 2, donkey Kong, etc and some of the newer games like pac man 4p vs and DDR. Upper floor is mostly pinball with a few more cabinets as well. Drinks were good, maybe a slight bit weak, but worth it and you get free tokens for a certain dollar amount spent on drinks each time. Great place, loud and lively atmosphere, but so much fun and so worth it!

No food but can bring your own. Cheap plays on the games good selection and vaping is allowed inside. Just ask b4 you do and they appreciate it much more

If you want to play some old fashioned arcade and pinballs and have a great drink this is the place to go and I recommend that place to anybody

This place had a friendly vibe, but not enough space for what all they have going on. The arcade games need maintenance as they are hard to use with wobbly joy sticks and sticking controls. Some of the pin ball machines do eat your tokens. If they want a dance floor I recommend either putting the dance floor in the back were DDR is and moving those games to the front. They could also move all the games up stairs and in the open space to the left of the bar and extend the dance floor.

Went to play pinball. 1 machine ate 2 tokens, told the security, he gave me my tokens back, but wasn't concerned and just said there's nothing they can do about it. No out of order sign. Nothing. Played another machine that ate 4 tokens. I left. There are better places to go for games. This place seems more bar focused. I have no desire to come back.

Best music in town! The games are fun! The drinks are great and very very affordable! 2 drinks was $20 including the tip!!!

Looks like a cool place to hang out. Very well designed and creatively themed. I should spend more time here I just hate the parking situation downtown.

Me and some friends decided to check it out and it was very cool to be able to play some of my childhood arcade games. It was a fair price as well and when it got later it turned into a night club. The drinks are good and also fairly priced. Only issue was at night it gets so busy that it's hard to play any of the games. But all in all it was fun and I recommend it to anyone looking to re-live the good old times.

So much fun there! And their gm is a really nice guy! Helped out with everything we needed and made our experience amazing! He even gave me some tips on how to get better at some of the games!! Now that service!! ????????

Great place to have a cocktail and kill some time. They have a fairly good variety of drinks. Not overpriced. A bunch of good retro games and a good pinball selection. All of the games seem to be in good working order and the place is usually pretty clean. It can get packed at night sometimes and is more like a club but again a good place to chill with some friends.

The best bar/club downtown. The bartenders, bottle girls, and security are some of the best I've come across. They treat you with respect, have great prices, and never disappoint.

Went for the first time last night and had an amazing experience! Didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes for my drinks (which I was surprised since it was New Years Eve), the drinks were made perfectly! There was a great selection of games, and every game I played worked! Super cheap games, I was there with several other people, bought $20 in tokens and still have some left. Good music mix! Had an amazing night!!!

Never a dull moment at Cobra. Vintage arcade ..cool people... definitely an all around fun place. The Mexican candy drink are my favorite here. Plus they have cool things to check out by our local vendors and artists! You're a terrific crew. Keep up the Good times. Ty so much.??

Wednesdays are free play for ladies! Great atmosphere and friendly staff!

Good Lord this place is awesome! Gen x Mecca

My wife and I came here for our first time this past Tuesday. They had a special that night, so we got free tokens with every drink purchase. They have some fun drink selections. Almost all the games we played required only one token per player. We got there at about 8 pm and left around midnight. It was much busier when we left than when we first got there. Love the decor and style of this bar. Good vibes all around. This is our new favorite hangout.

Very nostalgic arcade located downtown pinball machines old school arcade games always relaxing place to go with great people

If you are expecting a legitimate arcade bar this won't be your cup of tea. I don't really know who this bar is really for but for the most part it seems to attract the weekend party crowd. People don't come here to play arcade games, people come here to mainly dance to late 2010 hip hop that is no longer relevant and to drink until they get kicked out or get into into a fight that seems to happen every weekend. In different occasions where I have gone with friends I have seen other customers kicked out for

Cobra was a great place when it first opened. Had a little elbow room at the machines, decent prices, clean and working machines, and a great place for retro gamers to mingle. Unfortunately, after about 6 months of opening, the place took a turn for the worse. Becomes jam packed at nights with little room whatsoever, buttons become sticky and joysticks just flat out don't work on most cabinets, and you can forget about meeting like minded gamers there. Just a bunch of party goers that are spilling all over

Visited for my first time this weekend, neat spot. Security does pat-downs which made me feel a bit more at ease about the crowd. They had some really neat visuals, classic games, some vintage Grandmaster Flash footage rolling behind the bar, and a DJ playing some newer stuff for people to dance to. Prompt bar service, wish they had some more games to choose from but I think they do a good job considering the floor space they're working with. Will definitely be returning.

It was an ok experience. Had fun with the pinball machines, quite a few weren't functioning though. Staff at the door didn't really say anything and caught us off guard when we first walked in to see someone sitting there with their hand out. Drinks were good and music was pretty good.

I love this place! Great vibes, and good selection of games and pinball.

First experience was pretty bad. The game selection was pretty cool and very chill vibes. What I don't understand is why I got charged $20 for one cranberry vodka that wasn't even top shelf and the bartender never gave me a receipt to sign off and include the tip? Does this place feel free to forge signatures and tip as they please

Extremely underwhelming. Saw all the good reviews and was hoping for a great nerd spot to hang out. I came from a town that was 1/5 of the size and they had multiple barcades that had a beyond superior collection of machines that were better kept (had a machine eat my token). Like this place is so weird, it's like the positive reviews are people that have never been to a decent barcade or just go there to party. It's small, the machines are in rough shape, and the drink I got was nasty. It's a barcade for j

Worst place in Tucson to go to if you're looking for a "club" experience. This place and zenrock must be in competition to find the worst bartenders in town. I always pay cash and always the exact amount and never tip because of all the times I've been overcharged or given wrong change. I'd say maybe a fifth of the games have malfunctioning coin slots and/or joysticks and triggers that don't work. Overall, it's a cool place to play video games. Not a great bar or club and very unprofessional and unpleasant

Always one of my favorite places to go when visiting Tucson! Very friendly staff at the door and bar. For the most part super clean all around (tables, floor, bar, bathroom, etc), but I always feel my shoes are going to stick to the floor. They probably need to switch the brand of mop soap or ratio. You could tell it wasn't from being dirty. Great selection of games. Excellent pricing on the games. Dig dug was set a tad fast but I suppose it makes it more challenging ha! Great place!

Great place for hanging out! Good drinks, lots of staff, nice venue, cool games. We went on a Saturday night, and the only uncool thing was that it was pretty warm inside (probably due to how crowded it was). If that was tweaked a little it would have been great. Nice outdoor patio in the front, entry on the right side.

Awesome arcade games at affordable prices with a good (initial will have to check back) rotating draft selection. The lights, the atmosphere, the details... they're awesome! The happy hour pricing is great, especially on Tuesday (today) when you get coins with your drink purchase

Games are great. Bar is good with odd requests. They make you convert to tokens but it's fun

I came here to enjoy a night with friends and they had the audacity to profile me for being Hispanic I couldn't believe it until i was at the front door and they would not let me in saying I was not fit to go into location. I was not inebriated in any way and they denied me entry. I was respectful and they did not care . This is not a place to go to enjoy your night don't even bother they don't want to deal with you . Go someplace else they are disrespectful and inconsiderate. Go elsewhere!

What a cool place! The bartender was really cool and very knowledgeable. The games were fun. The atmosphere felt very clean, safe, and open to have a good time. We aren't really in to arcade games, but wanted to check this place out- we totally ended up geeking out playing so many games. It was nice to do something different while we drank. Thanks, Cobra.

Awesome arcade bar. This is part club, part bar, and part arcade. The music is pretty loud, so if your expecting an arcade experience, modify it with a college town in mind. Sure I would love it if the music was quiet and it was more arcade than club, but it's pretty much as good as it gets otherwise. Probably couldn't keep a place like that open and busy. The games are a mix of my early 90's, and some later ones I don't remember. They have some earlier classics too, and even some custom variants. Th

Went for a work team building night and it was a lot of fun! I wish they had more non-alcoholic options for us DD's, but there were so many fun games. They all worked, and were all very reasonably priced. I had $10 worth of coins and played for about two hours. The Star Wars pinball and the multi-player Pac-Man were my favorites!

Great for classic arcade and pinball games. Very friendly staff and tasty drinks!

This place is poorly run. But because I'm slightly overweight I was denied entrance. It is not an inclusive bar. They should be shut down.

I love going to cobra and playing the games but this was the last straw and the second time the bartender charged me more then what my receipt was. $12 for two drink and wake up to a $30 charge. Very unprofessional I will not spend my money here again. Not to mention the broken machines that just eat your tokens. Don't waste your money

Tons of good classic arcade cabinets and pinball machines. 21+ admission, 80s music.

Irene the server was amazing, made sure we had our table ready and even took the time to ask each individual if they needed anything side from what was ordered

The first time I tried this place was on a Monday, it was busy but not to where I had to wait in line to get in. Never got a drink because none of the bartenders looked our way so we decided to leave. I decided to give it another try and went back on a Sunday with couple of friends. I waited about 5 mins for a drink. I decided that this would be the only drink for the night here. We did have fun playing the arcade games that are available. The atmosphere was fun and the staff on the floor are constantly wor

Really fun place. It is a good change to the variety of bars available downtown. I hate the music, but I am a little older than the crowd that this bar would appeal to. The bartender was cocky and rude, but he was one person out of many otherwise good employees. Love the arcade games.

I took my friend here and watched the stars appear in her eyes as she took in the flashing lights of the classic style arcade. Their selection of beer is good, and there are tables by every machine so that nothing spills. 25 cents per player for most games means you could easily spend an hour with two people playing for only $10.

We only stayed for a quick drink, dj was playing, everyone was dancing and seemed to be having fun. The games looked super cool also. The floor was super sticky to the point where I legit couldn't lift my feet off the ground so that was kind of nasty. I had one drink that was delicious, it tasted exactly like Hawaiian Punch. I'd consider going back on a night when it wasn't so packed or dirty to check out the arcade games.

Old school video games, pinball, and a well stocked bar. What else do you need?

Its ok. Got to be young and in the mood for loud party animals even if you just want a drink on patio. Security makes you feel like you are robbing the place. Other then that not much to say, don't know where the arcade is. 40ft of bar to wait. And see 3 bartenders, 1 struggling, and 2 talking and chilling about making orders to restock. Not really a place I would recommend for anyone trying to have a quick drink, some good service and a chill patio place.

Not really a bar scene guy, but I love arcade bars. I enjoyed the selection of games (I suck at DDR) but I just wish there was more of a selection of pinball games.

The place in general is pretty good, the art and vibe of it all is great. Now I minus a star for expensive drink prices and another for the pinball machines being $1 each game. When I say expensive drinks I mean $6-10 for a 8 oz plastic cup mixed drink that is 80% ice. After 11 PM on weekends you can barely walk around because it just can't handle the traffic of people.

Very packed the night i went but the wait to play some of the arcade games they have was a good throwback. Some games were from before i was born and some are from my childhood. But most of them are fun to just kick back and play or bring friends and challenge. I'd recommend this place.

Great bar! Better arcade. This place is a blast.

I loved it! It brought back my memories from childhood. But the downside to this place is it is a little expensive the games are a little overpriced and the cocktails just a little for my taste. But nothing against the place I love it. The pinball is awesome Pac-Man X-Men a lot of stuff that I love to play from the 80s in the arcades anyway that's why I ready did you guys 5 stars. Let's do a little price break on the drinks LOL. I appreciate what your business establishment is thank you bye bye

Good drink selection, good retro game selection. DDR machine is in disrepair though, and good luck hearing it on a night with loud music. Other than that, great stop on a night out!

Opening night was packed but the game choices are all the old school games of yesteryear that millenials and gen x grew up playing and they're all 25cents to play. The choice of the coin miners that get you 1 quarter at a time isn't lost on me but they're still the games that I love. Drinks aren't bad but really it's a place that you're going to for the games that also happens to sell you alcohol.

I had not even ordered a drink, I was dancing at the bar and got cut off from all bartenders. I dance SOBER to any music and was not being disruptive. I was simply swaying back and forth to the music. No explanation was given to me, all of a sudden I was just told every bartender had cut me off even though I hadn't ordered a drink

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
