Cidercade Austin

Cidercade Austin

Reviews Summary

Cidercade is a popular arcade venue offering unlimited game play for $10-$12, featuring a wide variety of classic and modern games. The atmosphere is lively but can be loud and crowded, with sensory overload noted by some. The outdoor patio provides scenic views of downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake. Food options, especially wood-fired pizza and wings, receive praise, though some find portions small or flavors overwhelming. Ciders and beers are well-liked, with flights available. What a fun place! $12 all you can play. Nice river view from the outside patio, cocktails and pizza. Our kids had so much fun, wish we got there earlier. At 9pm it's 18 and up!

First time visit. From out of town. Joined my daughter & her young family celebrating a nine year old boy?s birthday. Pretty overwhelming at first taking in the enormous array of arcade games. I made a beeline towards the old-school pinball machines ? talk about a college day flashback! This venue had indoor & amazing patio seating (with views of the Colorado River, boardwalk, and Austin skyline. The pizzas were actually pretty dang tasty. Adult beverages are available.

Booked a table for our son's 10th birthday not knowing what it was like and we were NOT disappointed! Facility was very clean and well maintained. Awesome selection of old school arcade games. The cider flight was a great deal for adults. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend ??

Walked in on Sun of Memorial Day weekend. Smelled like diapers and kids. Lots of kids and parents. Some games didn't seem to be working (or we couldn't figure it out), and it was $25 for 2 of us to enter. Upsides: good range of games, lots of old school games, cool pinball machines, helpful bartenders, nice location (parking and lakeside views).

Was fun, has all kinds of games , some that I haven't seen in years. We had fun w/ Mario Cart, but no pool tables tho or darts tho. Other than that has everything. Pizza was delicious.

Love Cidercade and now they finally serve beer! Arcade games are much more fun when you don't have to pay for them (other than the cover charge). The food is good too. The wood-firing makes for good pizza and wings.

The pizza is fantastic, cider is great, and the atmosphere and games are awesome! I also met my (now) husband here on 6/15/2021 :), we played games till literally closing time lol, and now 4 years later we have a family. Thanks for such a fantastic place, we make it a tradition to come here for our anniversary ??.

Went here with my best friend to enjoy a great night of pizza and old school games. He even showed me quite a few that I was very unfamiliar with but had a good time with nonetheless. It's one of those places that never fails, and I hope it sticks around for a long time because I'm definitely going to be back sooner rather than later. The meat lovers Pizza was absolutely delicious, not something I typically go for but again the weather today cook that stuff in their little kitchen area is top notch.

Games are nostalgic and almost all of them worked, that was a win! The downside was it was SUPER crowded and there were parts of the building where the AC wasn't working well so it was stuffy. The outside view is pretty and if the weather is nice, it's great to hang out and kick your feet up. Although busy, everyone was nice and respectful to one another so it helped with having to wait for a game. I'd go back if I felt like playing some pin ball, Galaxy, or Pac Man. The price of the wrist band is was $12 a

A great time for the family! Lucky enough to sneak away during the weekday, to beat the crowd. Not many food choices so be sure you aren't heading there for a real meal. Love the pay once fee and get access to unlimited games. Definitely be back.

I really enjoyed this place. I have been to several different arcades in the last two years and this one wasn't my favorite, but still really solid! Pinball was super fun, and lots of other games were great. Phenomenal atmosphere for pretty cheap price to pay. I wish they had some food of sorts. Will go again!

Great outdoor seating, a little too hot not sure if the Ac was broken but good for all ages & group size.. I definitely highly recommend ??

This place is super fun. You pay one fee to get in then you can play all the video games you want. It's a great model. The place is clean, and right on the river so there are great views outside plus a deck to take the views in. They have a real pizza over too so the food is better than expected.

Love this place! Lots of games options including guitar hero, pinball machines, driving games and loads more. Drinks were good & staff were friendly. The view from the outdoor area is stunning and I really enjoyed the swing seat table.

All of the old games brought back a lot of childhood memories. I've never seen a collection like this. Super fun for me and my daughter while we were visiting Austin. People are nice, and the drinks are cold. Highly recommend.

This place is everything! Low price to get in and the pass is for the full day. You can play then leave and come back to play with no additional charge. $4 unlimited foundation drink. Tons of games!

What a fun, unique place! Cover charge gets you free, unlimited playing on one of the most extensive arcades we've ever been to. Also a full bar and kitchen! Even a lovely patio out back that overlooks the river. Perfect for anything from date night to a huge group; there's even a game that can include up to 10 players at once! Was fairly busy on a Thursday night, but never had to wait more than a few minutes to play any single game, and often just walked right up. Cannot recommend highly enough!

The only thing better than all the ciders is the selection and maintenance of the video games! They have all your favorite games. They were on free play with a cover charge at the door. I know I got my money's worth of game time. But none of the machines were broken or in disrepair. Everything felt new and clean! I also really liked their back patio area.

My beau and I had a really enjoyable time here on our first night in Austin. Would come back. They have lots of interesting ciders to try and lots of fun nostalgic games to play. They also have some cool games from Japan(I think) I just wish the menus were in English so you would know what settings you're touching.

I recently visited and had a great time! The games were fun and brought back a lot of nostalgia. The atmosphere was lively, with plenty of people enjoying themselves. There were quite a few kids around, so I decided not to take any photos. One downside was the condition of the floors?some areas had missing tiles or sections that were sticking up, which could be a safety concern. Outside, the view was beautiful and the seating setup with swings for chairs was nice, my son absolutely loved it! Overall, it wa

This was a real fun place. The experience is practically wrapped up in the title. You pay to get access inside where you can play the arcade games at no additional cost, and you buy tasty locally brewed ciders. I did see and smell several people buying pizzas and they were very enticing. The only drawback is that once you've played a few games and had a few glasses of cider, you've basically done everything. It's loud even outside on the patio so getting a chance to talk with friends is minimal. But i

Great selection of games, handmade food and booze, and a patio over the river! It's not just old arcade games either, there are modern rhythm game cabinets and plenty of physical games like their pinball selection and air hockey. Well worth at least one visit!... You'll be back

This is my new go to arcade in Austin great for kids and adults. It has a bar that has ciders I've always wanted to try cider beer YUMMM!! there is some really good flavors. Best part you pay to go in and it's unlimited old-school games to much fun! Plus pinball machines so many choices to choose from. I was a big kid ?? The people there are always so kind giving that great service and fun vibe every time I go! Oh can't forget about the pizza! It's delicious wish it was a bit bigger but it's just enough.

The pizza ?? was very delicious. Cooked to perfection. I ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and added caramelized onions and mushrooms, and it was really good. I was here for a work Christmas ?? Party. I love that all the games were included in the wristband purchase. Unlimited arcade games for the price of like $12-$13 dollars. Well worth the money spent. Clean place plus a nice view of Lady Bird Lake. I would come back to this place for sure! It was a fun time.

Is this a good arcade? Yeah it's pretty cool. Is this a good place for a drink? Absolutely not. The drink prices are 30% too high. Everything that you'd be able to get in pints, is only 12 oz pours here. I've even mentioned it to staff before that it's cheaper to buy the to go 6 pack of cider and drink it in the parking lot than it is to buy their draft drinks. So as an arcade, it's a decent value. I would rate some place like pinballz the same, but the opposite experience. They have reasonably priced d

Visiting Austin Texas and came here from looking it up on google maps. We're from SC so this puts us in the mind of Dave's and Busters except this a smaller arcade vs the franchise we have..but I liked the setting, the environment and the nighttime scenery especially sitting on the back patio and overlooking the downtown Austin Texas area and the Ladybird boardwalk.... Children under 18 able to enjoy this arcade up until 9pm ...and it's $12.99/per person

Very cool spot located next to ladybird Lake on Riverside Drive. Very fun, great for families, except after eight when it becomes a 21+ venue. You pay $12 for the entrance, and that includes all of the games available inside. They only sell cider and bar snacks like pizza. They have the best views of Austin downtown as well.

Right this may sound like a mental post, but it's been 2 months and I'm still thinking about this place, it has changed me. So we were in Texas from Northern Ireland & I really wanted to see real racoons in real life while in America, we were half way into our trip with no luck, so went on Reddit and someone had mentioned this place, so went planned to walk down, (we stayed at Austin motel and its only a 15-20 min walk which is great as America is weird you have to drive most places) so not only do I get to

I had never been to this place so we decided to go for my birthday. I paid for entry for myself and my family online. That part was easy. We arrived, got our wristbands at the door and walked in. We were met with quite a shock. The place was very loud and crowded. We walked around inside for about 3 minutes and left. Didn't touch a single game. This place sucks. Too many people, you will likely have to wait in lines to play the games you like.

Had my bachelorette party here, it was amazing! The staff members were very accommodating, friendly and helpful and the games are fun. It's very nostalgic, reasonably priced and the pizza is delicious.

Great food, lots of fun. More arcade games than anywhere else I have ever been. Great family atmosphere. A must experience for all gamers young and old alike ??

This place had me like a kid in a candy store! I couldn't help but just be happy to play all the old school, great arcade games! Awesome pinball games! Really good alcoholic cider drinks! Pay at the door, then it's all you can play inside! Every game was free to play. The table top, 3D Pong game was so much fun. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we stayed till closing! Will definitely be back for more!

We love this place! Every time we go here is so fun! It is very loud though and kind of overwhelming so anybody who can't handle that should probably stear clear. Luckily for my family and friends, we don't have to! The pizza here is also fantastic! I was very surprised by how good it was for an arcade! The sodas there were also so fun for kids to get! They had things like blueberry soda and other wacky flavors! And the games are so fun and bring back memories of my childhood! It's so nice that you get unli

I can't believe an arcade venue had one of the best pizzas I've ever had?the pickle pizza! We went during Halloween, so there were lots of cool decorations and a great vibe for fun and games.

A lot of good games that work well in a cool environment. It looks cool and there is nice beer and cider. It is good to hang out here and go on a date. Its not modern stuff. It seems nostalgic. Having a wristband to play makes things convenient but I don't like having the minimum price because I don't always want to play a lot. A lot of cool people of all ages like meeting here so I've had good times talking to people.

I'd say worth it for a day's entertainment. Our family of 5 had a really good time playing all of the games (they have old ones, new ones, off brand, and foreign ones). It was a pretty big place, and most of the arcades worked. Found some new favorite ones, too! My son said the inside was too loud and after a while, he grew weary of being inside. It is a sensory overload. The pizza serving is rather small (personal size) but tasted good, the chicken wings were huge, and their ciders were ok, but we are beer

Great atmosphere and vibe.. a bit claustrophobic inside, but the staff is great. View in the patio area is beautiful and the pizzeria is good.

Super fun! I love the concept of this place, and the ciders and pizzas are really good and decently priced for Austin area. Location is beautiful and overlooks the lake and city. It is 18+ after 9pm I believe. It can definitely get pretty packed but there is lots of parking!

I found this place from a suggestion by a bartender in Round Rock and I am so happy I was turned onto it. The concept of the open arcade is amazing and the variety of games was incredible. All the old favorites and plenty of pinball too. While I am not a cider guy, they still had some great beers on tap at reasonable prices. When your wrists need a break, there is a huge terrace on the back side over looking the river. Perfect break on a sunny day. The staff was attentive and cool and a big thanks to Tom fo

I've been wanting to go since they opened years ago but just made it out with some friends. Felt it was overhyped for what it was. It's probably good for families that want to hit a cheap arcade with retro games so kids can play all day. But it's so stuffed and loud because kids are screaming most of the day. We ordered drinks and they were good but I also saw the bartender tip himself after someone walked away and didn't realize they hadn't selected an option on the screen. Felt that was kind of weird..

Cidercade is awesome! Amazing ciders, tasty pizza, and an all you can play arcade - all under one roof with views over town lake. What's not to love?!!

This was our first time here as a family. We got here at 5 and stayed until 8. We all enjoyed ourselves and the pizza was very good! There is an outdoor area that looks over the lake, very nice! Sooooo many games of all varieties!

What a great time! A few games were broken but still worth a visit. Will be back

Pretty good 99% of the machines work. Thr food and atmosphere is good. Great place to play old school games. The floor is uneven in some places and there was a few people on drugs near the entrance where the bridge is. Overall would highly recommend

Games: super fun! With the classics, you won't be bored for a second Food: smoked wings gotta try (buy at the bar) pizza has good flavors (pickle pizza was yummy)!

Easy $12 entry fee, unlimited all day games. Pizza is delicious. Inside gets quite loud during busy hours, but I see people of all ages having a blast here when I bring my teens. Recommend reserving a table on the back patio if your group is larger than 3.

This super fun spot is a must visit for everyone in Austin. It offers a blend of classic arcade games, foosball, mini netball, and Guitar Hero with a family-friendly atmosphere, despite being technically a bar. The delicious, piping-hot pizza, ample parking, and convenient location near the boardwalk and Ladybird Lake make it a perfect family spot.

$12 for all-you-can-play video games? Count me in! We had a lot of fun playing the wide variety of games here. I only ran into a couple of machines that didn't work right. Tried the cider, and it was good too! Amusingly, our favorite game in the whole place was a physical Pong game that I've never seen anywhere else.

Tons of fun. Of course my favorite game is Jurassic Park but such a variety. And they now have beer. Tried the wings for the 1st time...smoked and meaty. Definitely worth it. Always have fun here.

We came out on a Saturday with a group of nine. It was so much fun, definitely coming back! Felt like it was endless of games to play. Such a blast! The food was all so good, the pizzas were a hit and also loved their salad. Purchased some beer to take home too. Tried a flight while there. Cute patio area with plenty of lounging chairs and tables. Kiddos had fun on the swings while they ate. We didn't know until we arrived it's Cashless. We arrived at noon and left at 5pm.

Card only, might be an inconvenience for some. Most of the games work really well, very surprised at the upkeep of it. Came on a rainy day, but was probably the best thing to do since I'm not from here. Great drinks and staff is really chill. Restrooms are decent.

Good games big crowd. Do not plan on eating cake within an hour of eating the Alfredo Pizza. Good on its own though

Can't recommend this place enough for kids and adults, great games, yummy pizza, and picturesque views.

I love the one time payment for unlimited games! That was great, and the fact my son was allowed in before 8:00PM. I'm getting old so I found it overall a little loud, but that didn't stop us from playing pinball and other arcade games. Their cider is pretty tasty, and the teen approved the pizza. Overall, it was a great afternoon and I would go again.

Made a trip up from San Antonio. Cidercade had a great selection of pinball and classics. Food quality was very good. The wings were super smokey and fresh. For $10 unlimited play, it was an insanely good value! Restrooms could've used a little attention, but we'll definitely be back. Update 4/24/24 Price has gone from $10 to $13 for play access. The games and attention to detail have gone WAY DOWNHILL. Literally, 3 years has gone by, and not a single game has been updated. Chicken wings are no longer fre

Rating: 4.6/5 Cidercade has a simple and fun setup?just pay a $12 admission fee, and you can play unlimited games with no time limit. They offer a huge variety, from classic arcade machines to newer high-tech games, including both single and multiplayer options. The layout is well-designed, with different sections for various types of games. They also have a bar, serve food, and offer a great view of the river from the outdoor patio. We only had an hour before closing, which definitely wasn't enough. I'd

You can play all day for $15 which is a great deal. Really good place to bring kids (before 9pm). Mercifully, they started serving beer instead of just cider. The pizza is pretty solid too.

Fun spot to hang out for a few hours. A wide variety of games. Parking on site. $12.00 for unlimited play. Just watch out for the floors its a tripping hazard. ??

Had a ball today. Played some new pinball tables I didn't know about. The food was good! Wish there were more options, but the drink I had was good from the bar. Will be back.

I wasn't expecting this place to be so cool! It had all the arcade games from my childhood, like Area 51, Pac-Man, and Time Crisis. The arcade was incredibly clean, and the entrance fee was super cheap, I think it was around $15 to play all night. And, to top it off, the pizza was amazing! Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and playing those old games brought back a flood of childhood memories. Thanks again, and I'll definitely be back!

I can only give this place a 2 star rating because the handicap bathroom for woman is closed off, door is taped shut. I had to park my mobility scooter right outside a stall, and have my daughter help me into the stall, which is small and has no hand rails/bars to hold on to. These bars are a "must" for many like myself. Unfortunately, that was a bad experience. The food was ok, pizza had way too much garlic. I wish they had a few more choices. On a positive note, there are a good variety of pizza

My husband and I wanted something fun to do before I flew back to Japan. Tons of fun! There was so many games that it didn't matter too much how many people were there. All of their ciders were delicious. We highly recommend the Boys?n the hood.

Really fun way to spend our last day in Austin and watch the total solar eclipse! For one set admission price of $12, play all the games you want. All the old games! Yummy thin crust supreme pizza and generous flight pours. Really great mix of ciders, we liked the tart ciders the best. A few different "dining rooms" inside and out to choose from, including a very nice outdoor back patio overlooking the trail off Lady Bird Lake. Could play games and take a nice break, even leave and return same day with wr

I always have a good time when I'm there. The atmosphere the games I grew up playing 10 outta 10. They could have a better drink selection and fix Ms. PAC-man, but I would recommend it's family friendly in the day, and a great adult place at night

Visited Cidercade on Labor Day and shortly after their opening, so it was pretty busy. However, my partner and I really enjoyed ourselves. We got memberships. 10 dollars gets you all the plays you want, 15 gets you a months worth of plays plus member features. Packed full of a huge variety of games that?ll appeal to all ages. $4 unlimited fountain drinks by Main Root (YUM!) Super cool lounge area, cafeteria, outdoor seating including tables with swings (NOT JOKING) Oh, and great view from the back patio. H

Cidercade, Austin's joyous retreat, Games and laughter, a perfect feat. Downtown's vista, a breathtaking sight, With food variety, a culinary delight. Pizza perfection, a slice divine, Ciders aplenty, a sip so fine. Pinball wonders, rare and grand, Godzilla's presence, hard to withstand. $10 entrance, all games set free, Unlimited play, pure ecstasy. For $15, return again, Discounts on food, a sweet refrain. Cidercade's enchantment, a vibrant scene, Where happiness blooms, in Austin's sheen. An oasis of

Cidercade is an activity center and a bit of sensory overload. It is jam packed with pin ball machines, video games, many from the 90?s and 00?s including Guitar Hero, Area 51, Big Buck, NBA Jams, etc as well as a few more rigorous games likes skeeball, pop shot basketball and air hockey. I would say everything is in okay quality, not good, not bad. There is a door person upon entrance collecting a $12.99 fee for unlimited play and braceleting those 21+. Kiddos are welcome but get booted at 8 pm. The food

My favorite arcade place from now on. Frankly child dream come true. All the classic games you can imagine and for $10? Nicely located on the river bank with great view, makes it better. But the unexpected surprise was the food. Great pizza, wonderful smoked wings. Damm I'm coming again!

Great place! $10 to enter and all games are free! From old to new. Wall of pinball and a wall of driving games. There are shooters, dance, tap, drivers, pac man, they got it all! People under 21 have to leave at 8pm. Pizza was good and you can see them cook it. Wife said all the cider alcohol she tried was awesome. Highly recommend checking it out!

Good Pizza and all games are infinitely playable. Check out their large pinball machine collection!

Such a fun place! LOTS of different ciders on tap to try. Food is awesome. We had the pear and procutto pizza (Delicious!) and the buffo wings. Husband had the butter beer cider which tasted as sweet and butter beer like as you would guess. I had the skill check and loved the dryness and hint of pear flavor. Family friendly, blast from the past of growing up in arcades. Fun decorations for Halloween. Recommend booking ahead and purchasing ahead!

Great place. Worth the $10 admission. An N amazing collection of newer pinballs. Many LE Stern models. Pizza was decent. Crowded on a Saturday, but not too crazy. Lots of fun. Don't miss the DeathBall game. It's unique and fun.

Fantastic for adults and kids! Food and drinks are Hella expensive but good. I'd probably skip the food next time. I had so much fun tbh. Highly recommend! Took my kids and had a good time. Just me and my man went and we had a great time. They have an outdoor patio too which is great for anyone who gets overwhelmed easily like me.

Great arcade, paying a cover fee and then having free play is so much better than what I'm used to. Lots of classic arcade games, a few newer ones. Pizza was good, too.

Buy an entry pass for $12.99 and all the video games you can play is included. If you love cider and pizza, you'll be in heaven!!! Ample parking and close to major freeway near downtown Austin.

Overall good experience. Service was friendly at the bar and you can sample the cider if you're struggling to make a decision. Food was good, although our pager never went off to notify us our food was ready. I didn't like the wings as the smoke flavor on them was overwhelming. We originally ate outside but then there was a raccoon visitor that was basically begging for food so we retreated inside. Games were cool and there was a great variety. We went in the early evening and there were a lot of families a

Good place to go and kill a few hours! Games are fun, plenty to choose from. The view of Lady Bird Lake and the Austin skyline are beautiful. Haven't tried the pizza, and the ciders are "OK." Wish they served regular beers and mixed drinks. Overall, it's a place that we come back to on almost every trip to Austin.

Fun arcade with a variety of games. Our group was obsessed with playing Killer Queen. I didn't try any of the ciders, but their thin artisan pizzas are yummy. Air conditioning is on full blast, so bring a sweater! It also gets pretty loud inside, but they have seats outside overlooking the river, which are perfect for taking a relaxing break. The parking lot is pretty big and we had no issues finding a spot on a Saturday evening.

Fun arcade to hang out for a few hours, and it's only $10 for unlimited play. Cidercade also has a nice outdoor patio overlooking downtown Austin, so it's a fantastic place to grab some cider and pizza and enjoy the views. It's a popular spot so their parking lot gets full really quickly.

Had a good time, went at like 3 pm on a Friday to beat the rush (don't know if there is one but you know how Austin is) the pizza was decent, more like a flatbread tortilla but good flavors. There honestly isn't many games compared to the amount of people in there but enough you can't blame them that ppl were hogging the same games over n over. Me and my wife ended up breaking away from the kids and just rode a couple scooters around downtown? that's prolly my favorite thing to do tho

I really like this place, though I'm sad to say it's become very overpriced. I think it's really only worth it to go during happy hour or on a day they have specials. That being said, the views are beautiful and I do really enjoy gazing out on the balcony/playing the plentiful games they have! I'd reccomend to only come on a weekday after 8pm, as that's when there will be the least people and no children, as is my preference.

Always a great time here - even more so when you can come earlier and beat the crowds! Games are mostly in great condition and I really appreciate they have hand sanitizer readily available. Will definitely be back!

Phenomenal, the best collection of arcade cabinets I've seen at any barcade. Full of kids and very family friendly on Labor Day but I can see it being very nice later in the evening. Food was surprisingly good, they really know their cider. Will definitely visit again if I come back to Austin.

$10 for unlimited arcade is an amazing deal! The pizza and Wings were fabulous! Parking is kinda limited so show up early. FYI, 21+ after 8pm

We went on a weekend, so it was packed! The cover fee was not unreasonable ($12), and it covers unlimited arcade games. They had a wide variety of choices of games. The choices at the bar included a wide array of ciders and wine. I'm not a big cider drinker, but I was pleasantly surprised with the dreamsicle! Plus, the pizza rolls were really good!

The pizza and cider would make it worth the visit, but it also has an awesome retro arcade! $12 for unlimited plays. Fun for kids and adults.

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
