My girl turned 9 and we had her party here, SUPER easy. I got the 2nd tiered package, we had 10 kids. The party host was on point, I also ordered their cake, it was nicely decorated. Much easier to have them do the cake, it was $24.99, it was the larger cake. Pizza was good, the slices were TINY, but it was a good size for kids! The table had party hats, cups and plates. We had two hours for our party. The package I got comes with 2 slices of pizza per kid and a pizza for the adults, kids drinks are

We recently attended a child?s birthday party at the Chuck E. Cheese in Frederick, MD, and were genuinely impressed with the entire experience. As a parent, I've been to a fair share of party venues, and this location stood out. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the event. From greeting us at the door to helping the party flow smoothly, everyone was welcoming and clearly enjoyed working with kids. It made a big difference in creating a fun and stress-free environment. The ambian

The new games and the new adult menu are awesome. The kids had a great time playing the arcade and the adults too.!! Everything was clean, neat, and the food was delicious, not to mention all you can drink beverages. Also, the kids were all excited about Chucky Cheese showing up several times and walking around them. The music was excellent. We had a blast!! Great atmosphere, all the games working. Employees were always wiping the games and cleaning the area. There is a dance floor with a projector where th

Went for my son's birthday. Pizza wasn't the best, but, it was better that I expected. Very clean, well kept. The service staff were friendly and helpful would go again

It was like being transported back in time as a 90s kid and then some! Such a wonderful experience for my family of four. Dancing to music on the big screen, tons of extremely easy to use and age appropriate arcade games, great food, and even regular pop ins from Chuck E Cheese himself. It made my day seeing how much fun we all had at a place that meant a lot to me as a child too. Extremely clean facility, great staff; will definitely come back soon!

This chuck e cheese has recently been remodeled. I love that they now offer an assortment of games for older kids. The games are high quality and a lot of fun. My son ended up earning a decent amount of tickets and he had such a good time trading them in for little toys and candy pieces. It's a safe environment for the kids to run around in and the door is constantly monitored. The food is always really good. I adore the pizza. I've had my son's birthday parties here several times although this time around

My 7 year old son had a great time. Spent $21.00 for 1 hour of unlimited play. The cost drops to $18.00 with the purchase of a pizza and drinks 'meal deal'. All of the games were working. The entire facility was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. My son was able to score 1,300 tickets in an hour, but he got lucky and hit a few jackpots. When entering, I felt that $21.00 for an hour was a little bit over priced. But we both had a great time and it was money well spent. We will definitely be go back agai

My grandson loves going to Chuck E Cheese. So we celebrated his birthday there again this year. The staff is always so pleasant and the pizza is very good. The only issue we had this year was leaving. My grandson's number wore off his wrist and the young lady (in training I believe) had to ask my grandson if he knew us. Well anyone who knows my grandson, knows he gets fixated on words for a few weeks. Guess what his word was NO. Lol! I understand taking caution, but what would they have done if he truly

Disappointing experience ordering pizza to go from this location at 8pm. When we arrived to pick up the order the doors were locked before 9pm when it stated it would close. People and employees were inside, although no one noticed me trying to get in to pick up our order. This was about 10 minutes before 9pm. I had to then call the phone to get an employee to open the door for us and go inside. Unfortunately it did not get much better from there as they said the order was not received, even though it

This Chuck E Cheese was a little different than others I have been to. Granted, it has been a while since I'vebeen to any. But this particular one seems to be the cleaniest one I've been to. I also think it is larger than others I've seen. The food is good for Chuck E Cheese standards. The sweet chili meatballs were pretty good, but the salad and pizza were better. There seems to be new activities for the kids, like the trampoline section. Which my friend's child really enjoyed. Overall, I'd recommend this

Not bad for a special outing but it has gone down hill. Two years ago we had a huge party (30 kids) here for my son's 5th birthday. Everything was brand new and clean! We came yesterday and after just 2 years the place is showing wear, tear and lack of upkeep. Several games did not work and should at least have an out of order sign on them. Also, the trampoline is an extra 12 bucks and takes up too much room. The dance floor only worked on about a quarter of tiles. It was just kind of sad to see it look so

Though very crowded and loud, a very enjoyable experience. Our server was so kind and polite. We celebrated my sons 11th birthday and he had so much fun

Chuck E. Cheese is an absolute paradise for kids and a delightful experience for families. My recent visit to this entertainment center left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere of joy and excitement. The bright colors, cheerful music, and the signature Chuck E. Cheese mascot create an ambiance that's perfect for celebrating special occasions or just having a fun family outing. Now, let's talk about the entertainment ? it's nothing short of fantastic. C

The young adults they have working there are providing the worst of customer service. They took over 45 mins to make one order of pizza, highlighting the extreme lack of customer service training they all have. I put the remaining half a box of pizza on the table and they threw it away because the table was vacant. I approached the staff to provide some perspective about how that was not the right thing to do especially since it wasn't closing time yet. They were all very dismissive and the manager insisted

Had a birthday party, which my son loved. The manager, who was the party host, did a good job. It would have been nice to have a dedicated party host and not the only manager on duty due to him getting sidetracked a good bit. And your party is timed. All the kids and adults had a blast, though. I would definitely do another party here. It was worth it. I do wish they would have kept some type of play on area instead of adding a trampoline that costs $10 extra per kids with the party. That was a little bit o

My boys had a blast and was pleasantly surprised to see new video games, rides and a new ball air machine (like the ticket blaster)..this alone was worth it. They do not have the tubes in the ceiling like some and only Chuck is an animatronic but its a truly nice location

The place is amazing for kids to play in any season or age. Birthday parties are also a hit amongst the kids and the arcade is a good mix of games for both young and little older kids and sometimes adults too.

Bought the gaming wristband for our little one and had continous fun until the pizza arrived. Glad we could pause the timer on the wristband. Next visit I'll request the pizza baked to well done to get a crisper crust

Great for kids under 7. Game prices were okay It was a fun time and easy playing games for under 7 years of age. I wish there were more games for pre-teens. I like that there were instructions on the game.

This place is well-lit, clean, and well-staffed. It runs like a machine. Not like Chuck E Cheese from when I was a kid. The pizza is also decent and the salad bar is pretty good too. A good place to let the kids have fun in a controlled environment.

Fantastic service and game selection. The location is relatively small and was quiet this afternoon, making it perfect for a casual visit. I did not eat here so I have no comment on the food.

This place is good just for the games but the food is trash. I took my nieces and I wasn't aware that the pizza (Hawaii pizza) had jalape?os and my nieces didn't like it (also it was too sweet) so I asked the manager if she could change the pizza but she ignored me and told me that she couldn't do anything about it. I'm in the military and I was happy that I would have a great time with my nieces at Chuck E. Cheese but unfortunately this event with the food make us feel disappointed.

A bit pricey. Clean. Pizza is decent. Music is crazy loud but I believe they have more sensory friendly hours and we didn't visit during that time.

We go there often to have fun with the grandchildren! Nice, friendly and family atmosphere

Always fun place to visit for kids, we did attain birthday parties, food and service were good, and all games were working fine.

We went for a birthday party. Kids had a blast and will chaotic, the service was great and the kids had a blast

Very loud but kids love it. Good for birthday parties for little kids.

Running joke about how gross Chuckie Cheeses are, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Every single time I've been since 2019 to date, I have always seen staff wiping down tables and games, even if we are the only ones in there. The bathrooms are clean, they remodeled at least 3 times and have gotten new games. The pizza is good, but a little pricey.

I was a little skeptical at attending a party here for my granddaughter, but i was surprised in the BEST way. It was clean, efficient, safe and the staff was top tier. The set up with the wristbands instead of the old system of tokens and physical tickets makes all the difference. The games were fantastic for the kids, the screen and floor displays added another level and even the food was good. The standout of the day was the party person assigned to us, her name was Lily and she made our visit phenomenal.

My two sons had an amazing time celebrating the oldest' birthday. Our dedicated staff member was great. Had so much fun with tons of play points left. Definitely taking them back

Go in with low expectations and you'll be fine. It is a great place to let the kids roam for a while. The "dance party" is nothing more than a costumed character making a single round. My biggest frustration is the low staffing means the person that is ringing people up often has to also check families in and out, meaning you can often wait several minutes to just enter or exit the building. That really needs a dedicated employee. Definitely get the summer fun pass if available as it pays for itself in a

The staff is always so helpful and beyond friendly. Our kiddos love going there!

My kid had fun. Great customer service from staff.

I'll give it 5 stars because the family fun pass it worth it. This one in frederick is super clean. The pizza was good and fresh. Sometimes it seems like they're under staffed but my daughter loves it.

Went for a party my son was invited to. The food was actually really good. The staff was very friendly and kept on top of spills, food and making sure things were good. Been years since I have gone and no tickets but you get cards that get loaded with e-tickets and much easier. Kid still gets to pick out the trinkets they want so he is happy.

There was a lot of new things however, they're missing what our kids loved the most, which is the climbing gym. The pizza seems to be better which will be a good thing for future visits.

Closing hour for this location should be changed to 8- 8:30PM since their employees always want to lock their doors at that time.

I tried to go with my niece and nephews on a Saturday. It was very crowded and extremely expensive. $35 for a pizza and 4 drinks. Games were $20-30 for 2 hours. We left after seeing prices and being told food wouldn't be ready for an hour. I couldn't rate good since we didn't get any.

The trampoline is popular and highly recommended. Advise your children to be careful and safe, they will have a good time.

This Chuck E. Cheese location is clean, bright, and perfect for little ones. We went here for a birthday party and were really impressed by how new and clean everything looked. Definitely worlds apart from the Chuck E. Cheese locations we've been to near us. This location doesn't have those jungle gym play areas, which was a bummer,l. However, the amount and variety of arcade games make up for it. Definitely a good option for kids birthday parties.

I purchased the bronze summer fun pass for my 4 year old and brought him to this location. He was super excited to play his favorite games but was extremely disappointed to find out that 3 of the games he tried to play were not working and there was no sign that it was out of order. I brought this to the attention of a front desk worker and said she'll call someone but nobody came to look into it. After waiting about 20 mins, we left and went to monster golf in Gaithersburg instead. I regret purchasing thi

We decided to have our sons 5th birthday party here not too long ago. Talk about a blast from the past in the best way. The kids had a ton of fun with the variety of games offered, there was something for everyone. I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults reliving their own childhood. We all had a great time and it was nice to enjoy the moment vicariously through the kids. The host on hand was fantastic and patient through all the craziness. My only stipulations were that there weren't too man

This location was doing construction, but it didn't impact the experience. The staff was very friendly. My daughter and son have fun every time. I wish you could get more tickets because it's hard to get more than a pencil as a prize for each visit. I also wish there were more things like lights or music to improve the vibe. Overall my kids love it though, so we will return.

Super clean, lots of games for all ages & very friendly staff. This is our third visit in six months with the same level of service during each visit. Glad to have a place for our little 18 months old to go and have fun!

Had a birthday party here which comes with a 2 hour play card per child. They deliberately made sure not to tell us that the cards don't start to use their time until scanned so that all the kids played for 15 minutes before pizza. This wastes about 45 minutes of the paid for play time available via the party. If they had properly informed us everyone would have waited until after cake. Pizza was good, games were fine, service was adequate and the kids had fun but the way the cards were handled leaves a so

Extremely crowded on the weekends. The tables that didn't have patrons at still had the trash on them from people who were sitting there . We were going to order food then found out there would be an hour wait.

The girl working the counter was very patient and attentive. She helped us and the other customers quickly and was very professional. The play area was well maintained and had employees sanitizing the games and tables and chairs. The games all worked well and our kids had a great time. We will visit again when we are back in the area.

They have a new trampoline zone. But you have to pay for. Chuck E. Cheese is already expensive 84 dlls for 120 min play, medium pizza and 8 wings, plus 12 more for trampoline zone. 96 dlls for just one kid.

Great place for granddaughter's birthday party

Its ok, it was for my kids and they enjoyed it so that was important. The only thing I didn't really like is when I ordered the pizza, I had to pick it up and it was on an aluminum tray which was very hot and didn't seem too safe. The person giving me the pizza didn't even give me a heads up. Guess I'll know for next time ??

A bit pricey but the children really enjoy the atmosphere and game options. Food is decent. I did find out the reasoning for the stamping of hand upon arrival and adamantly checking stamp when leaving...its to make sure the adult is leaving with correct child. I think that is a great safety feature.

Just experienced the Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Bash for the first time and we were not disappointed. Our hostess, Caitlyn, was professional, friendly, HELPFUL, and absolutely perfect! The price, the food, the experience, the hostess, and Chuck himself made memories that will last.

Had my daughters birthday party here today, staff were very attentive. They were ready for us 45 minutes before the party started. Our hostess took care of all our needs. The Birthday Girl was over the moon happy and the other kids had a great time. So much more affordable than other places or having it at your home. I'd definitely have another Birthday party here!

From an adult view, the games are sparse and the place is kinda grungy and needs updating. The kids don't care though, and they love it. The staff are friendly and the pizza is better than I expected. The cheese crust pizza is the best I've ever had. The crust was so full of cheese it was like they injected the cheese to fill it instead of just rolling up a cheese stick. It's been 25 years since I was last at a Chuck E cheese, so I don't know when they added the child security, but I appreciate that they gu

It's a chuck e cheese in mid 2021. It's fine get a table load a card up let your kids go crazy for an hour. The bathrooms are clean and they employees clean the machines regularly. I'll also add that the employees are very nice. I never felt like they were seconds from going postal or pushing us to leave

Few games didn't seem to register tickets. Jump station is $12 extra from playing games. It made games more crowded and few of our favorites gone.

My kids loved it (ages ranging 5 to 1). They had games for everyone. The place was clean and it had plenty of room to move around. Lastly the pizza was good, over all it was a great experience.

My kids always have a blast playing here. Plus they love the pizza. So if they are happy, then so am I. Edited!! This Saturday visit was upsetting. Filthy, not enough staff, games were out of tickets, manager stayed on lunch break entire time. The guy up front had never seen our coupon, needed help, manager told him he was on lunch break so we were unable to order the food we wanted to get because they never seen the sprint rewards coupon. Disheartening

Decent entertainment for the 3-year-old. Sometimes the games or rides don't work, don't have tickets, or are no clean, and you won't know until you spend your money. Generally speaking I've found good value for the entertainment, but I go elsewhere for food.

Not a fan of the card system rather than the tokens. With the tokens the kids have a tangible way to assess how much playing they have left, it was a way of teaching fiscal responsibility. Now it is setup to play until it doesn't work anymore... great lesson. Also this location had wayyy to many unsupervised kids. Maybe it is me but I don't treat it like a day care for my 3 year old. I had about 7 kids her age wander up to us with no adult in sight.

I saw employees wiping down the games very frequently and they made sure everyone used hand sanitizer upon entry. Masks are also required. I loved that every kid gets a surprise upon entry! My daughter won a souvenir cup that she gets to refill for free every time we come back, and we definitely will!

So this was a new experiment for me because I've been going to Chuck E. Cheese?s since the 1980s. My old age aside I was very disappointed taking my kid to OTHER branches of this establishment. Those locations (all closed) were fun for my little girl and a treat, the conditions of those places were rough if I were to even begin to be kind. We never ate there and although my little girl LOVED visiting the atmosphere service and cleanliness was something to be desired. Fast forward to last week and my move to

Love the pizza here even though it is crazy expensive. Reason for 3 stars is that we went right when they opened at 11am during the week and their maintenance workers from corporate were still working on fixing many game machines with them wide open, tools, small parts were all over on the floor. Had to tell one of my kids to put down a large piece of one of the games! I don't understand why they think this is okay and not a HUGE liability with having customers (little kids) playing and potentially choking

Josh was amazing!! He helped with the kids and helped my son have an awesome birthday again big shout out to Josh keep ip the good work..

The staff here is really fantastic. That was truly the most impressive portion of my evening. From the front door, to the register, to the ticket redemption, everyone was stellar. I really appreciate good customer service, as I have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. To have young people doing such great work is AMAZING. I would absolutely hire any of them at any of my bars, (when they are of age, of course, lol)

It's spacious and the staff tries to keep it, it's an old place. They are constantly bringing new arcade machines and the staff is friendly. They also have "quiet days" where the sounds and lights are tuned down for sensory sensitive children (ASD kids and such).

Wow, the new look at Chuck E. Cheese is GREAT! It is so much cleaner, and there's more games and rides to play. Love that they have gone to an "all you can play" system. We can't wait to go back!

Our great granddaughter's 2nd birthday party was at the Chuck E.s in Frederick yesterday. It was so perfect!! The place was very clean, the staff was so friendly & helpful. The kids loved the games and Chuck E. The pizza was delicious. Wouldn't have changed a thing.

Clean, family friendly place to visit. Not really great for smaller toddlers

Update:. Place is still good during Covid. Plenty of available hand sanitizer and the employees are still super nice and helpful. Customers must wear masks of course and there are some other changes. The employees honestly are fabulous. Super nice employees & clean. 4 year old daughter had a great time.

My daughter loved it but on the parent side of it all the machines that you can get the cards from were empty. They also weren't on time with the Chucky appearances. My child is three and the TV counts down the time with it and she would look all over for him. A few times he didn't even show. That was a big part for my child. Keep in mind it was between 11-2 when we were there.

We had a great time and the kids really enjoyed it and the food was good. However, there is something I need to warn you about. Their team there says that you are not allowed to use the app. To order your food. You can use the McDonald's app to get food at McDonald's and the Burger King at to get food at Burger King. Seems like the only app you're not supposed to use to order food is the Chuck e cheese app. This is a very weird situation and I will probably contact the corporate office about it. What the he

Today; November 3rd, my son Josiah had his birthday party. My son had an absolute blast. Our server was Alyssa and she was awesome. I used manage a few restaurants and I love customer service. I would hire Alyssa off the bat from the way she served my son and the family. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this Chuckie Cheese in Frederick. And Alyssa; with all the restaurant s I go to, she is my server of the year.............

A very good place for kids , best thing is the policy for the place that you can change tickets you collect to choose toy but if the kid want another toy but it's need more tickets their is no problem to pay for that.

Where do I start. Where are the jungle gym areas? For a birthday party , first we were canceled without notice and had to re sign up day of party??? We had to ask for plates, plastic ware, candles. No one saw if our party was going well or if we needed anything. Staff couldn't be bothered. Hardly any games, some games didn't work. Just awful. People, find somewhere else to go with your kids. McDonald's would be betterment

Very clean the employees clean after every game almost every 5-7 mins a always seen someone cleaning off a game. The place is even less empty than usual. Instead of putting the number stamp on your hand the tell you to take a picture with who you come in with and you have to show them at the end when you leave, if your phone die when it's time to leave they let you use a charger just so you can clearly who you came in with. I like the card method that they now have like Dave and busters so not ever one ends

My grandson had a great time. The place was packed we only spent an hour. Bathroom service needs more ATTENTION,. Overall appearance of business is tired and grundgy looking needs cleaning up and remodel. Food counter not great.

Cleaner than any chuck e cheese I've ever been too and less broken equipment. Cards instead of tokens is an improvement but with small kids you have to spend a fortune to win anything more than a piece of candy or dollar store trinket. Loads of fun for a birthday party and ot overly crowded. Kids like their pizza and could play all day.

Loved new look. Also ability to pick how you want your game plays. Buy the points or timed. This way you can taylor more to your child's personality.

Pizza and games. Gone is the token meal deals where you get a number of tokens with your meal deal. Now you get a not quite large pizza and 4 drinks for around 25 bucks but you can purchase a game card and 30 min of unlimited play for 11 bucks. Took 4 kids and myself spent over 60 for 2 hours. Not bad, not great but got the kids out of the house.

I went to this place to celebrate my daughter one year old birthday and I and my guest were not treated well by the chuck E at all. When it was our turn the chuck E was at another table instead of ours for like 30 seconds. I hate to say this but I am going to say it, this place are racist, I felt like they treated us bad because we were black people. I will not recommend this place. They will not give equal treatment.

The mini trampoline park is great for the little one. No Chucky unfortunately.

Took my son and wife here for lunch and games. My sons first time, he was thrilled! Almost as thrilled as my wife and I with that pizza! Good Lord it was good pizza ?? ??

Outstanding service! Terrance was awesome, he made our baby niece feel so special on her birthday and went beyond to make sure everyone was happy. He shows genuine care for the guest, Thank you very much :-)

Several games not working. Only 1 ticket taker functioning. Spoke to manager about my concerns. He asked what machines were not working, did nothing about it. Spent 2 hours there. My nephew went home w/ a gummy ring and cheap tiny magnifying glass. Total rip off. Will never go back!!

Wow, I'm very impressed! CEC has been on my list of places to avoid for a while now. After today, it's no longer on that list ? at least this location. It was clean and they improved the flavor of their pizza. There are not as many games available to play and there is no climbing gym and ball pit. However, the games they had actually worked which is a huge improvement. And the ball pits were always a cesspool of germs, so that's not missed at all after living through over a year of COVID. We will be back

Had the best help during a birthday party for my daughter in August. They are amazing and customer service is amazing!!!!! I recommend them for birthday. The packages are great for the amount of stuff you get with it. And the service can not be beat.

Chuck E. Cheese is a nightmare for parents, but the little ones love it. This one doesn't serve beer, unfortunately! However the service is very good and the food, just as they claim in the commercial, is significantly improved. It's a fun experience for kids. Parents should bring ear plugs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
