Reviews Summary

Chuck E. Cheese receives mixed reviews, with many praising the fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and variety of games, especially for kids. Positive experiences highlight clean facilities, energetic birthday celebrations, and good weekday visits with fewer crowds. However, common complaints include overcrowding on weekends, broken or malfunctioning machines, long food wait times, and overpriced or low-quality meals. Hygiene issues, particularly in bathrooms, and inconsistent service due to understaffing are frequent concerns. It was better than I thought. Tables weren't cleaned regularly enough but food was good, games were fun and it was overall really nice. I'll take my kids here again

The entire establishment was a little too warm for my taste. We celebrated my niece?s birthday and she had an awesome time. I had a great time too. Unfortunately, I contracted the flu ??

Louie & his team really made mine & my family?s trip to this location a 10/10 on 3/3/25. Store was clearly understaffed but Louie & his team managed to solve my issue super quickly & efficiently. The entire staffs courtesy of was great. Thank you Louie & Team for a great visit! We love Chuck E. Cheese !!

Absolutely Disturbing Female Bathroom Needs extreme improvement It's always the same everytime. It's unfortunate because this is the closest to home but I won't be taking my children there anymore. Rude Staff, Their always so distracted and talking amongst each other instead of doing their job at the register. The check in person always on their phone not paying attention to the front of who comes in and out.

Natalie that was on the trampoline side was absolutely amazing. My son is only 2 and is autistic and had a hard time doing it alone. Natalie went out her way to guide my son through the course and the trampoline and was so patient with him. Thank you so much Natalie for your kindness you made his first experience worth it!

I'm writing this review because I am extremely upset about what happened today when my daughter went to a friend's birthday party at your location. While playing in the trampoline obstacle area with slides and other features, my daughter was pushed by another child. She came out of the area hysterically crying, saying she felt dizzy. When I asked to speak to the manager, Marcos, his response was careless at best. He simply said, "I'm sorry that happened to your daughter, if you need anything, just give us a

The staff was handpicked from heaven. Knowing to deal with children on all levels!! EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. Our host was exceptional BRANDON because Of YOU I WILL BE HAVING MY OTHER 12 GRANDCHILDRENS PARTY WITH YOU & MR CHUCK E CHEESE!!! MORE CHEESECAKE TO COME??

When I first walked in it took us a while to get in, there was no one at the front. The employee who took our order looked so miserable and her energy felt as if she didn't even want to deal with us. The food wasn't that bad, a bit greasy and the salad tasted a little old. What threw me off the most was the bathroom, it was early in there day it should never look this bad .

Not clean or maintained. Chucky looked sad when he came out for the birthday party. Food portions are ridiculously small for the price.

Definitely could use some renovations! The ceiling had holes and was covered with plastic. The tables were unkempt and ALL the napkin holders needed refilling. The bathroom was not clean, and one stall had an overflow issue, so the floors were covered in water. Paper towels were stuck inside the machine. However, the staff was friendly and professional.

This is our go to place on most Fridays after-school. I'm concerned about the cleanliness. We were there on January 17, 2025 and all of got sick with the flu. It took me longer to recover due to my asthma. I didn't see anyone wiping down the games with so many kids sharing their germs. We returned yesterday and we had a great time however someone stole my grandsons hoodie. Thank God they didn't take his coat. Just sad.

Came here on Saturday July 13 for a birthday party. Its was extremely hot in here. Even though they have about 3 portable AC units it did nothing for the temperature. The temperature on the AC unit read 82 degrees. They shouldnt even open when the temperature inside is soooo hot. Once the kids started running around they were dripping with sweat. Many kids ran around with wet sweat on their shirts. The temperature outside is 87. Dont order the boneless buffalo hot wings. For $20+ that is all you get. They t

The kids loves their pizza as much as the activities . However the staff omg u have a mix of ones being so overwhelmed literally mentally breaking down as she charged me for our order . Others who will look pass you and never acknowledge or directly answer you question . Some just mean personality ?.

A bit under staffed and overpriced but my kid enjoyed fully. Food is delicious but expensive. Overall i would recommend this location. Friendly workers.

Lots of fun for the kids, but not sure if the games get wiped after the night dull of germs. My baby caught a stomach virus. Had my daughters 5th birthday and this time it was great our host was extremely attentive and our guest was satisfied as well.

I went here with family, was not happy about the experience. I spent $100 on food to wait two hours for my food to come out. The chicken wings and fries were cold. There was a birthday party near by, where was the host ? Playing chuky cheese mouse and also working at the tampoline section at the same time. A party host should be available. This location needs more employees. I find this place to be a low class arcade/small children venue. You have to wait to find an employee for help or at the prize booth.

Every time we've gone, there's literally barely no one there maybe two families other than myself my partner and my daughter and Chuck E. Cheese literally comes out for five minutes if even that and they say it's once every hour, but I've been there longer than that and got lucky for me to see him about 20 minutes before we left. They do have a trampoline and play structure but they charge a separate$15 to use both.

Very great experience for the children, they do not accept the Walgreen vaccination app. But had a photo of my card and it worked. They are out of slime and mouth for the boo cupcake...sad. kids got free candy from Chuck.. and were happy..and they loved the cups...food was blah.. but went for the xp so that was ok

We visited over the weekend during and to my surprise it was actually huge, this place is always good to hang out when the weather is bad. They also have a trampoline, but only small kids can use it, they have a height limit. The games were pretty nice and a good variety, I don't recommend buying the timed option to play, im glad my husband told me to get the regular points card. I think we were there for 3 hours and played every single machine. I enjoyed playing the games aswell. It gets crowded after sch

Come in early on a weekday and you'll enjoy a Chuck e cheese that's not crowded. Good size and plenty of activities for your kids. You'll spend 2 o 3 hours easy.

Chuck E. Cheese Grand Reopening Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party, 5-7pm September 20th, 2023 My son Ethan and I always attend Chuck E. Cheese at the Bronx Exterior Mall. We have had multiple parties at the location over the years, both for him and his little cousins, so we are familiar with the place. Ethan is autistic and has other disabilities, so it's hard for a single mom like me to find suitable places for him to play and enjoy himself. I received an email invitation to the party and showed up at 4:30pm

Is a medium size place. They have variety of machines. All the machines worked. They have bathrooms. They have a soda machine where you could refill. The staff was great . Didn't buy no food is over priced u rather go to bjs and buy something or come full already. The pizza looks cheap. I did buy the chuck e cheese cup that was 4 something almost 5. They have the machines where u buy the card. The time goes very fast. I had a great time and my son too. I will be coming soon.

It was very musty and crowded in there, but the pizza was good overall. I went for my little cousin?s birthday, and it was fun.

The Animatronics Make me think of William Afton's Creations I don't know Why But I am A Nerd for Fnaf Yall me and my friend been here

Major improvement since the last time I came here. It's a good busy, clean, employees ate conscious of the customers of all ages.

Got to give Chucky five stars! Those kids will sell their parents just to meet Chucky!!! The place is spacious and clean but don't let your child run around barefoot or without shoes. Overall the place is a hit! Perfect for birthday parties.

This place is really good for the kids. It's a place where you can eat, play and have fun. Pizza is really good too ??

This location was awesome. Brandon made sure we had enough pizza, juice, soda and game cards. He was polite, kid friendly and patient. The kids had so much fun, they didn't want to leave. I made reservations online and it was pretty much empty other than my students. Thanks

Was super good the people was super nice when we did not ask been here for are needs the food was good but a only got to get pizza

Wheelchair accessible, but only booth seating, that I have noticed. Food was good, much better than other Chuck E. Cheese's establishments that I have visited. Service was quick. There are a variety of games to choose from and the area is fairly clean. Bathroom is wheelchair accessible with a good size stall for wheelchair users.

My son's favorite place when he goes he doesn't want to leave

Great place my kids always have a blast food service was a little slow and took long other than that it was good.

The best location in the Bronx the staff here actually try and do a pretty good job. The machines don't seem to break down as often either also it's a very clean location considering it's a place for kids.

One of my kiddos classmates invited us to this soiree here. It was a typical Chuck E Cheese experience. The games are ok, the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. The food isn't bad it's standard fare for the environment. We had a good experience. I didn't see any crazy or unhinged parents or bad kids. I only wish we would of won more tickets.

Sadly, it's open ONLY FOR ?TAKE OUT FOOD AND BUY GOODS?. Deserted at a moment due to COVID-19. They don't know when they'll fully reopen. So, when it says OPEN, call first to learn the updates under of driving for nothing.

This place is a mess very, some of the machines don't want, out of 8 tickets changing stands only 2 working ,crazy lines food is terrible had to wait about 45 minutes for something that resembles a pizza, the fries taste ransid complain about it and at least they replaced for fresh ones, the few young employees are trying hard but not much they can do with such bad management.

On my visit to this Chuck E. Cheese location on Saturday July 13,2024 wasn't that pleasant. 1. The location was extremely hot . 2. The treatment at the trampoline area wasn't well supervised. The staff person in charge of the trampoline was screaming to my autistic child to get out of the trampoline. At that time there were only three children?s in the trampoline. 3. The order of wings were spoiled. This can case any person to get really sick. 4. The location lacks in cleanliness the soda dispenser loca

The pizza tastes mediocre and is the only food worth buying but it's seriously overpriced. Other than that, my kids love it here.

Nice but crowded also the prices went up. We celebrated my daughter's bday

Avoid at all costs. Came on a Saturday for a birthday. I'm pretty sure the place was over capacity in terms of the number of people present. This is a very high touch facility that had no hand sanitizer, no soap in the bathrooms and sizzling hot water so kids couldn't wash their hands. This place really needs to be inspected as it's quite unsafe.

Went yesterday and the experience was great. My boys and I had a great time. The place was clean. The games were all working and there were no broken ones. The staff were professional and respectful. My only concern was the food. It was over priced and cold. The pizza was not hot enough. the wings were super small and very expensive. $20 for 11 small wings? This place for young children so why the food is over priced????? Was not satisfied with this price. My oldest son and I love coming here for the w

Honestly this chick e cheese is horrible and they will steal your money. The ice cream machines here don't work and there's not a sign saying it's out of service. The card machines you need to use exact change if not that amount is going straight to the card. There's no signs for any of that. The workers don't know anything and it's managements fault. This place is just messy, over priced and not worth the time to travel here. It would be better going to another Chuck E. Cheese cause this one is run down, n

A cool place for kids and adults are not left out... an unlimited funfare

This place is awesome, love to play with my kids and feel like a kid again. Secure and clean environment. Highlight recomended. Where the kid can be a kid and adults like me too.

This is the second time I've had a party for my kid here. This 2nd time I am very disappointed our host was late I know they are busy but our food was super late. The host didn't even try to accommodate us the best plus she had me pay before our time was even over which took time away from our party. The 20 minutes before our time was up she asked to move me to a different table. I had to say no I was in the middle of cutting the cake being She took time away from my kids party. I mean we are spending and w

Kids loved it. the food was great and it didn't kill my pocket.

Customer service was excellent especially from your cashier employee with short hair and glasses he deserves a raise ! Wonderful display of professionalism, Definitely will be coming by again with my kids .

My sisters had a great time and really enjoyed it (they are 5 and 2). However most of the games were broken and wouldn't accept the card, some would take a few tries before it started working some didn't work at all. The food was good ?? The bathroom could be cleaner and have toilet paper but experience overall is okay.

I purchased points at the kiosk and wanted to add them to my account but the employee said I couldn't do it because they only can do it from the cashier.

I took my 6yr son after business opened at 10am on 08/08/22 #1 no air conditioner on a 90 degree day. Half of the games aren't working. Customers on line waiting to purchase tickets and not 1 employee nowhere to be found. No employee at entrance/exit that I walked out with my son and no one to verify that's my child. Basically I could have left with any child. For $30 hour not worth it any more

Super friendly staff!!! The best part was they were so excited and energetic when singing Happy Birthday and I really loved and appreciated that cuz my son was so happy when he was watching them. Food came on time and staff was always ready to help with party setup. Facility was very clean, up to date. Would definitely come again.

First let me say the bathroom discussing didn't get the point on my season pass and he won three jackpot but there pizza was a little salty but it was okay never going there again

Went on a Wednesday around 12 noon. It was quiet which I loved. My kids had a blast. It starts to pick up around 3pm. The only thing I did not like.... one of the employee was in the bathroom and DID NOT WASH HER HANDS. Then I seen her walked in the kitchen ??

Had lots of fun. The food is great! Loved the stuffed crust pizza. Was able to create my pizza the way I wanted again loved it lots. Will be going back for my sister's and nephews birthday. Although I am 20, I still loved everything about the place including the staff.........????

Friendly staff fresh food games my girls had a ball for they birthday and they got to see chuckee throughout the whole while there at least 5 hours you know we had to end it with they delicious dipping dots they were bomb especially cotton candy flavor as recommended. Special thanks to the Manager Rose she was great thanks for making my girls 9th birthday Awesome.

Chuck E. Cheese is going to be the same no matter where you go. As always we had a blast. My son and I went out while my wife and daughter went to ballet class. Close to transportation, convenience of other large stores in the area.

I came in with my siblings and other family members. I ordered the #5 combo which comes with 2 pizzas, 6 cups for sodas and a large cookie. The cookie was not available instead I was told I had to take the churro unicorn. Why do I have to take responsibility of an item that was not available which is more expensive that what I have bought?. There was no apology. I also had to wait for between 15+ minutes on line because there was only 1 cashier available. The games did not give any tickets at all. The kids

I started going there about 2 years ago and now the place its not worth 2 pennies. Not sufficient workers. Can not get no help when there a problem. 75% percent of the games do not work, broken or missing parts. You will not get a refund a very time the machine takes your money. Good luck finding someone for that. In a place were 75% are kids the bathroom are nasty. Blood, dodo , i sit by the bathroom for 2 hours no one came to check or clean. The department of health should go in there and see how the don

Very fun place for kids to play. A lot of games, but no indoor maze or ride on like a few other Chuck-E-Cheeses. The pizza is great, if you go late in the evening or on weekends, it is definitely going to be packed... I suggest a quick trip after school or really early on the weekends to avoid the large crowds.

I haven't gone to chuckie cheese in a while because of the type of people who go there. Most parents are ready to fight people because their kid wrong and strong. Not to menrioned the things that adults do at a children's facility that is not called for. We had to take a picture of everyone we were with because we need to show it before we leave to make sure everyone is accounted for because people have lost their kids. Overall, it was an decent experience despite it all... I like how you can buy time so th

I love this place first I want to thank KIM the host and the rest of the team. I had my son 3rd birthday here and it turned out amazing, the children had fun. All party items in package was included nothing left out. Perfect timing for everything down to the food. All staff answered questions in a calm professional manner positive attitude. I was so glad and happy with this place for my sons birthday unlike Billy Beez where I was about to spend twice as much for less items in the package and customer servic

was here for a birthday party for my nephew. Very spacious and lots of things games for the little ones to enjoy (and adults). Draft beer available as well. The ticket counting machine will be a nightmare though, I suggest not tearing out your tickets unless you know your done with that game.

This is a nice central location for the kids to enjoy, especially my little sister who is a huge fan of that adorable mouse. The staff are friendly and they helped resolve my ticket situation in minutes. I did notice that half of the machines had missing items and mechanical errors. However, I do not blame the staff for ANY of these problems. It is the parents and guardians who failed to supervise their kids whenever they misuse or climb on the machines. Not only is it dangerous but very irresponsible as we

If you visit on a week day or early hrs its pretty cool, the kids have fun , the staff is around and work to keep games n rides in tip top order . my only issue was we got the buffet unlimited and they never put out enough stuff and then wait until after the time was up to restock.

Safe social distancing. They got people walking around cleaning. Definitely a good bit of fun for the kids. Also whoever the girl at the front door. She needs a raise. She's awesome. Definitely made my fears about safety go away

I use to like this place a lot but since they start selling wine and beer it's very scary for the kids , people leave their drinks o. The table no one is cleaning tables right away my little one almost drunk from the cup a lady stopped him right on time I think if they want to scale alcohol they should have a little bar where people could drink and leave their drink at the bar . I still like the place for the kids when it's raining and you dont want to stay home !

I love this location! Today was our second time celebrating my daughter?s bday here. It's really clean and organized. Staff is amazing. We also go there on a regular basis and I never had any issues . Love it

Let's start with saying this place is very clean. The staff are very friendly and my daughter goes crazy when Chucky comes out for the dance party. I do wish people taught their kids respect and watched their kids. I seen a kid trying to kick and punch Chucky. If you know you have a child like that start having talks with them and observe what they are watching or who they are emulating. To end the pizza is great and comes out fresh and hot!.

Twenty percent of the machines were not working and they had one person working on them. The kid worked non-stop but there is obviously an issue with staffing. Food lines were long and I was given a 45 minute waiting time on a pizza. This is not how they usually operate, however this is not one of the best locations, also not the worse. The service fluctuates on a daily basis and we're at the behest of the staffs moods for the day.

This Chuck E Cheese on Saturdays are super packed, I had to wait 30 minutes before being seated which was okay. I understand that when it's crowded, it will be much more harder to get things done in a fashionable timing. The only complaint I have is that the food should NOT take over two hours to come even if it's super packed. I understand 30-60 minutes but OVER two hours is ridiculous. Also, be careful, the soda machine tends to water down very quickly. You need a lot of patience to be here, but on the

I had my daughter's 2nd birthday here, we did a 12pm party on a Sunday which I highly recommend due to the Overwhelming crowd. our host was a Spanish gentleman who I really wish I could remember his name just because he did such a great job.. So this is my reason for the 3 star instead of 5 star so being I had such a great experience the first time I recommended my sister in law for my niece's birthday which came out great as well but here's where it went wrong we had order almost $75 worth of food waited

It's a great place to take the kids, and the big kid in u. Plenty of games to choose from, With unlimited play up to 2hrs for less than $35 . They also serve pizza, beer, and wine. Also an endless salad bar that has many options. An added bonus is you can bring your own cake to celebrate a childs birthday.

Visited this location a few times and no real issues but you need to come early which I always do. Today I needs help at the prize desk and I noticed a worker near the desk and I said excuse me 5 time and he turned his head looked at me and continued to work and just ignored me. My small daughter also said excuse me 3 times and he continued to ignore both of us. I later find out it's the store manager who was ignoring us, his name is Marco. don't know if he is racist or just a miserable being who hates his

This place has update this place with not only a nice way to pay but some of the game's too. The food has gotten a lot better too .on the day my family and I came in they seen under staff but the women's working infront where very helpful even the cashier help me throw the new menu and the best price for my pizza . I like the new card you use to play the game's . You can add time or value to the card . I recommend if you're going to be there for more them 2 hours you do the time . It's worth it . The only p

Looking to beat the crowds GO EARLY! We practically had the whole place to ourselves, the employees are friendly and the food is subpar (but we don't really go there for that ??) there are some healthy options and wine for the adults! Sooooo this is definitely a place to kill time with kiddos in a safe environment.

This is a much better option for smaller kids as opposed to Dave n busters, which is dark and crowded whenever we go. Most of the staff at chuck e cheeses in the gateway center mall are pleasant to the adults and children. Some machines kept getting jammed or running out of ticket paper, but it wasn't hard at all to find help to fix the problem quickly. There are a few newer games and many classics and they are awesome for the whole family.

Celebrated my sons 3rd bday on Tuesday June 28,2016 and it was amazing! Maybe because it was a week day and it wasn't as packed as it is on weekends but great service, the host was amazing and really caring. My son and his friends loved every minute of it! He also got 1,000 on tickets and many chuck e cheese gifts! If you guys are celebrating a bday I will highly recommend to do it on a weekday as it is less crowded and get more attention.

Don't get me wrong, I like going to chuck e cheese. My son loves it there. But one of the main issues i have is the pricing. Why did I pay $20 for small pieces of chicken that doesn't even come with fries or a drink? I also shouldn't have to pay over $100 just for pizza and drinks. Its ridiculous and thats why I donr visit chuck e cheese as often as I used too. Also, the wait time for food is bad as well. The machines are always down when I need to pay with my card. I spent 15 minutes just swiping my card b

The games are cool enough for the kid's the only problem is there were no tickets coming out the machine but word on the street is they about to open one on 125st and I will be there with bells on when they crack them doors open.

My actual rate is 3.5/5 - I love this location much better than the Brooklyn location. The facility is clean, the staff is adequate, and most games function properly. I love the new game cards versus the tokens. My only complaint is the wait for food. Waited 30+ mins for a personal pizza and there were only 3 other families there. My personal advice, save yourself and the kids the trouble, if you can, and go during the weekdays. I usually go during the week between 11a-2p when they have the buffet. There's

It was so crowded and hot and smelly. The pizza looked reused and tasted like they need to clean their oven. Also, I asked for hot wings and for them to be put back in the oven to be more crispy and it wasn't done. They were soft and mushy and I just gave a $13 order away. My son lost 10 minutes off his card just due to wait time in the line, such a waste of money. I will not be going back to that one.

It was okay. Had to wait in line for a while. Half of the games weren't working. Some didn't have tickets. The chuckie picture came out backwards. When we went to cash out the tickets, they didn't have half the stuff. Parents letting their kids run wild. Didn't have to wait long for the pizza. Most of the staff were nice. You had grown ups playing the games knowing there was alone and kept on playing. Crazy!!!

The staff is friendly, the prices are good, the problem is the visitors....its majority ghetto people. My last visit, i left a bag of coins on the table as i walked to get some salad. When i walked back i noticed the bag was gone and some 10 year old kid was holding a bag that looked like mine. Long story short, they gave back the bag after i approached him. I have a strong feeling he was being encouraged by his mother to take the bag.

This place needs proper management! Bathrooms are filthy, over crowded on weekends, long lines - that just to get in the door. The buffet looks sloppy. Kids pulling the cords out the game. Several of the ticket readers are broken. You can barely use the games on the weekends. I was going to order some cotton candy when I witnessed a worker using her hand (no gloves on mind you) to take it the cotton candy from out the machine and then use the same hand to collect the cash. After she was done, she asked if

Kids love this place. If going on the weekend be sure to get there early as it can get really crowded. Plenty of parking. For the most part the games all work there are always 1 or 2 games that are out of order. Staff is very good at attending to you if you have a problem with one of the games or rides.

Kids really enjoyed the party. Pizzas re tasty but greesy.

Great place to visit with small and big children. A con is that it is always super pack and no room for you to sit down I had to wait for almost 2 hours for a seat. It's best to go early afternoon or right before they are about to close for a few hours

Super crowded today went in at around 3-4pm, everyone was happy having fun smiling, some people wearing mask too. But I felt good to not wear a mask, and no Vax card required. That's a super plus, 120 mins for $38 (with a new card). You can pause yah card & resume it whenever you can too.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
