Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese

Reviews Summary

The reviews show a mixed experience at Chuck E. Cheese. Many praise friendly staff, cleanliness, and enjoyable birthday parties, especially noting positive interactions with mascots and accommodating service for children with special needs. However, complaints highlight overpriced food, poor quality (burnt pizza, cheap prizes), malfunctioning games, and inconsistent service (long waits, unhelpful employees). While some locations excel in hospitality, others disappoint with hygiene and management issues. Overall, satisfaction heavily depends on individual visits and staff performance.

Customer Reviews

I was on the hunt for a last-minute spot to celebrate my daughter?s birthday, just a week before the big day. Everything else around us was around $350 for a small party, which felt like a lot. Then I stumbled upon Chuck E. Cheese's awesome birthday deal?just $99 for a party for six kids! The kids had an absolute blast! It's surprising how much has changed at Chuck E. Cheese since I was a kid, but I'm so happy we chose to celebrate there. Now, we've been going back regularly and have even signed up for the

We loved this Chucky Cheese the staff was great with all the kids , I always love the security they do to keep our kiddos safe, parents watched their kids , the restaurant was clean, food was good and of course Chuck E Cheese was the bomb..

We were visiting my niece and decided to take her out, and this was a great choice. The kids all had a great time, the food was hot and tasty and the staff was a lot of fun and extremely helpful. You really can't go wrong with the original indoor playground! Yay Chucky!! ??

poor food rampant cheating and a manager who took frequent breaks with what seemed to be his mistresses and their children. I know with places like this you pay for kids entertainment but this place was garbage. the pizza was greasy an somehow undercooked. The games were dirty. The staff seemed unintrested i their jobs and unmotivated to do better. If I could give 1 star I would. we came as a speculative visit to determine if a birthday here would be desirable... today ensured it was a no.

My Grandson loves Chucky E Cheese. The employees have helped my several times. They know me by face. And treat me and my grandson likes were family or friends!

Food is much better than when I was a kid. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason that they didn't get 5 stars because location seems woefully under staffed for a Saturday.

Would rather go here than urban air. Sometimes you can come in and there be some ppl that's engaging and nice. Most of the time there's one nice person and the rest have a scowl plastered on their face. The killeen location is the best one we've been to. The one in waco, they seem to try and rush chuck e back to the room . There's not a lot of interaction most of the time. Not always. Hand full of the games don't work properly , and have been that way for a while. They are putting a jungle gym in, which is

Great for a kids? parties, staff are friendly and attentive & prices are reasonable. The cheese pizzas were great!

Ours was the first birthday party last Saturday morning. I was pleased with how the music wasn't overly loud. The videos had other children, which the kids found to be fun. Nearly all the games were working and fun for our group of 5 year olds. The pizza was tasty, and the service was well timed and attentive to anything we needed. It was a good experience all around.

We had family together for my grandsons 6th birthday, had 14 people and ask for a table for everyone to sit together and they REFUSED to give us a table to accommodate all of us so we had to sit different booths!! They had to clean all booths we could have had 1 table!! So if you have a lot of people don't expect a table!!! Never again Chuck R Cheese!! A lot of money for terrible service!!!

This place has gone down the drain. Not yet this location, but the entire franchise. Back in the days. You had combos were good and drinks and coins were one whole combo. Would cost about $40 for a family to have fun. Nowadays you have food for $30 plus the coins (time/points) an additional $25. On top of that they sell you a card to load the points or time for $3 or the wristband $5. Where did the Chuck E. Cups and coins go. You're looking at close to $70-$90. In todays generation. The large cup for $2.99

We love going to chuck e cheese, but this last time, which was yesterday.. many of the games were out of service. Also, the games don't give very many tickets at a time, which is fine because it's for small children. The skii ball was a great hit! And of course the food is good but a bit expensive.

The restaurant was okay it's getting expensive just for the kids to use the bounce house which is part of the entertainment we had to pay extra I think they're getting a little ridiculous with their pricing

The place looked weird and sketchy but I kinda liked the games . The workers got on my nerves and were acting very retarded . The food taste like they got it from the 99c store. Over all the places was decent

I expected this place to be utter Chaos, instead I got quiet time, wasn't busy time of day, grandchildren had a blast, food was good and fast. I will say prices seem High, but we are talking about a kids restaurant with games and activities. I will definitely be going back. The employee's were more than happy to help but also found the best deal for us.

Better have plenty of money. $23 for a pizza that's 12 slices but really 6 normal size slices. Personal size pizza equivalent to 2 slices $13. Eat and drink before you come that way you are only out $100 for 1 child to play games and use the trampoline.

This place was the best location my kids and I have been to

Attending a friend's child's birthday party. The company needs to fix the app in reserving the place. She tried to reserve it and it says full, but when we got there, the place was totally empty

Great for toddlers thru Jr High. Not very good for the parents wallet. Gets very expensive quick!

My son had a blast and will be back for my birthday and his. I was surprised at how good the pizza was. 10/10. When I was a kid, I never got to try it. The games were awesome, and my kid got the prizes he wanted. I will say my son has autism and it was hard for him to interact with ChuckE but the mascot did an awesome job! ?? Thank you.

Poor service. It took over an hour to get food and it was not even busy. The people who got here after me got there good before. I dislike that many games don't work. Spent 70$ and it's ridiculous. I liked the old version of Chuck E. Cheese. Employees should realize that they can be seen and don't use gloves. Also using their phones with gloves is still unsanitary.

Came for my Grandson's 3rd Birthday and had a blast!! The food was good the salad bar was good and the attendant Kade was the sweetest most helpful of them all!! Thanks for a great time! Waco Texas

I'm sorry for posting this. I hate giving bad reviews. Pizza was horrible. I really dislike the card. Tokens are way better. When it was time to leave, nobody was there to check our hand stamps. So we just left. Nobody paid mind to me leaving with my two daughters. Don't think their system is safe for you to let your kids run wild without supervision. Not to mention the price. 68 dollars for a medium pepperoni, 3 drinks, and 60 tokens ( I mean credits). I will never go back.

We stopped by to play a few games while in town this past weekend. It was pretty quiet in there but that didn't stop Chucky from being enthusiastic and interactive with the kiddos! He really did a great job. My son is older and mostly non verbal and he loves Chucky. He went out of his was to come say hi to my kiddo and interact with him. Kade at the counter was so kind and thoughtful and made sure my son felt seen and welcome. I wish we lived closer so this could be our go to Check E Cheese!

Ticket to prize ratio was completely off

It was a triple header birthday party for my grandchildren from Dec and Jan. They had a ball as usual, its always fun at the Cheese! The Mascot at the Waco store is absolutely the best I have ever seen. ?? Kudos Waco!!! We love you guys!!! We have been coming here for birthdays for years, and you can see by the photos that my grands are not babies anymore. As long as this is where they want to celebrate, we will come here!Waco Chuck E. Cheese ROCKS!!!

Who even writes reviews for Chuck E. Cheese? You'd think when you've been to one, it'd be the same experience at the rest. However, this could not be further from the truth. The manager and all of the staff here are absolutely wonderful. They are all so engaging and helpful. I would come here for the staff alone. This location is also incredibly clean and the pizza is a far cry from what I remember having as a kid in the 90s. It's really really good! A pizza I would be truly satisfied to receive at an Itali

The worst experience ever!!! Staff was totally clueless got our childs birthday age wrong got our pizza wrong got our time to start wrong and to top it off a lady comes out of nowhere claiming to be associated with Chuck E Cheese and starts taking pictures of us and our kids stating that she was doing a documentary and that chuck e cheese knew what she was doing. Interrupted our party and fun. Will not be back ever again! Public park parties are way better . Smdh ???????

Staff is super friendly and helpful. These kind of places are always a bit expensive, but pizza is good and staff is great! (Don't think he was supposed to get on the stage to be clear)

Great place to take the kids, love that they have changed to using a card and not tokens and tickets any longer. Made everything so much easier. I will be returning And Chuck E is great! He dances and interacts with kids well. They loved him!

Great place for a birthday party. The host was wonderful! She did everything, right down to cutting & serving the cake. The manager was great as well. Made sure we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend the Chuck E Cheese in Waco!

Customer service was great. We were there for a kids birthday party and had a great time.

Cleanest chuck e cheese I've ever been too granted it was empty, it was clean staff was generally friendly and helpful. The only thing I can say is there isn't a lot of games for the kids to play I've been to my share of chuck e cheese in my life having a large family and this was the smallest one I've ever been too. My kids also asked to see chuck e cheese while we were there and we spent 2 hours there and he never came out...

Every time we have come here that staff is amazing. They truly make the whole experience worth it, the management is top notch and understand true customer service.

This place is going down the drain very fast! No vegetables on Pizza ?? and it's a mortgage payment for two adults and one kid... Y'all put your money in a Roth or something better!

We had a wonderful time. The workers were so friendly and it wasn't crowded at all- we ended up having the whole place to ourselves. They still have 1 animatron Chuck E. Some of the games have wear and tear but that's expected. It didn't stop us from having fun. The pizza was great, the salad bar was fresh. Definitely was a great experience, I haven't been to this good of one in a while. Will return ??

Kids had a blast, we had 1 hour unlimited play $15 each! This location didn't have a many games down and was cleaned better too. We didn't order anything, it's overpriced pizza. The customer service was good when we bought the cards and if we had any questions about games or play time rules.

Possibly the smallest Chuck E. Cheese we have ever visited. No climbing time or anything other than games. So when we took the 2yo and 4yo grandsons there, it wasn't much of an entertaining evening, though we did manage to spend $125 for essentially two hours of random "fun."

Order a pizza and cheese bread from here last night and had it delivered and when the delivery guy showed up and handed me the 2 boxes all I could do is stand there with box boxes in my hand and say "is this a joke". Took the boxes in and opened one and it was a personal pan pizza. I said how can you feed a family of 4 off a personal pan pizza. Called the manger at the store and she was very rude and said (I can't help you with that). Gave me I number to call and they didn't want to give me a refund. I pay

This chuck e cheese has horrible management. The manager acts and dresses, unlike a manager. You would believe she was a customer. She confronted my mother and was pretty disrespectful and even called referred to to my sister as slow and confused. I would never come back to this chuck e cheese under such staff. There was a man, maybe a GM, but he didn't do anything about it. He told the customer to call down and not an employee to apologize and walk away. For her working at a place for kids, it was horrible

A lot of the games were out of order. Not many games for kids under 7. The breadsticks were gross. I got the salad bar and it wasn't worth the 10 bucks they charge.. But they do have a live show when the chuck e. cheese mouse comes out and dances with the kids which was fun. I personally think they should just close down.

Loving the remodel have lots of new games. I love taking my kids they're just got expensive. It's $29 for an hour of all you can play, and if you don't have a card you have to pay a $1 for it.

We went so my youngest grandchild could experience the place for the 1st time. We got 3 "Personal pizzas" and a salad bar. With 2 very small sodas for $40.00. Wow! I realize it's for the kids, but even the salad bar was terrible. My grandson loved the lights and noise, but even he wouldn't est the pizza.

Had a terrible experience. I received a coupon for my daughters birthday for 100 free tickets, so we went to Chuck E. Cheese instead of Peter piper. Big mistake. Spent $70 for the girl at the counter to tell me my coupon wouldn't work. She didn't even try and get a manager or solve the problem. I asked another employee for a manager...and he actually solved the issue himself and gave me the voucher for the tickets no problem. The manager said she would speak to the girl. Apparently the manager did and point

I took my kids for their birthday I ordered food, and bought cards for them to play. I asked the woman do the kids meals come with drinks she said NO I asked for two sodas, the kids didn't get them. I had to go back she said I told you they didn't come with drinks. I told her both kids wanted a soda when we ordered. Then I waited ten minutes for them to put more lettuce in at the salad bar with no luck when I asked the guy at the door finally he said they would put some out in one minute and since talking

First time there took my son for his 8th birthday ???? I regret taking my kids to this Waco location the female mgr. very unprofessional talking to my kids in a intimidated loud voice. After, I asked her to approach my kids with a different tone she got upset with me. I asked for a general manager phone number the staff ignored me. This so called manager was so getto screaming & talking out loud through the store. All because I was asking questions about my kids points on the game card. Never again I will

Attended a birthday party here with my grandson. He had a great time. They were very accommodating with the food order and correction. The place was very busy with several parties at the same time. We came once before and were able to use discount coupons for food and game tokens.

Area was nice and clean, but service is very slow, waits 30 minutes or more for food, othere than that everything was great.

Went for my oldest son's 11th birthday. Kids had a blast. The pizza was VERY good but took quite a while to come out. Server was so so but I think they were understaffed. Games were ok, typical cash grab games. Restrooms were tiny, understocked but clean for the most part. Definitely going to go back. Way better than peter pipers pizza.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. The lunch buffet is a simple salad/pizza combo that's totally worth $6.99. They'll usually cook you whatever you want if they're not busy. Great place to bring my 2 year old granddaughter!

We had my son's birthday at this location this weekend. He and his friends had a great time. I will say that it was a little hard to get everything we paid for and it was expensive. My wife had to continually bug our party staff person for many of the things that was supposed to be ready. The experience was more stressful than it needed to be and when I am paying over $200 for a birthday party I want to be able to relax and not worry if my guests have what I paid for.

My 5 year old grandson had a great time!! The pizza was good, our hostess made sure we had everything we needed for a successful Birthday Party. The best out of all of it for me, was I didn't have to do any work for the party, and it didn't cost anymore than it would if I would of had it at home. The guest totally enjoyed it.

I went to have some quality time with my son while my husband was sick. I walk in and the person supposed to stamp you was not there. So me and about 6 other people were just standing in the small little area and it was so hot in the building. Upon looking at the menu I ordered a personal cheese pizza for my son and a large drink to share. The size of the ?large? drink was laughable. I asked if there was anything bigger as my son and I were sharing, the woman at the counter was very rude and rolled her eyes

Prices are ridiculous even with coupons. Same for peter pipers pizza. Spent $50 bucks for 2 pizza and 4 drinks. Not including games. Too pricy for less enjoyment.

Kids had a lot of fun at the birthday party, but the hostess wasn't around much. They waited a long while for the drink pitcher to be refilled and for cleanup before cake. She was great with the birthday show and serving the cake. At the end, the employee at the counter where the kids get their prizes was very impatient and kept asking anything else while tapping on the glass when the kids would have hundreds of tickets left to spend. She definitely needed more patience when dealing with children at such an

Convient but not all that clean. Still had some drink cups around the games. Service was disappointing, they gave our order to another customer and her family, says she thought we were sitting at that table but we were the first and only customers there for at least 45 mins. But kids enjoyed their selves so I guess that's all that matters.

Good place for the kids to have some fun and burn some energy. The biggest shock was that the pizza and other foods were really good! They even have beer on draft. An oddly ideal place to celebrate a young kids birthday and Mother's Day together.

My gbabies had a great time

Pizza was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Games all worked except one. Clean overall and fun!

The staff was super friendly! Helpful and always available. Interactive with virtual Chuckie. The new card system makes to where you don't have to carry tickets around. The staff was continuously checking on us, even through the arcade. My kids had fun and as a parent I enjoyed the overall hospitaly that was given. The place was clean. They let us use our coupons with no Hassel. It was great!

My son had fun there so I will give them 4 stars. Took 1 star off because a lot of games were out of order with no signs, no ice for drinks, pizza was way too greasy even after soaking up with napkins, Chuck E. hardly makes apperances. It took too long to tell an employee. It wasn't even worth it. I think they should get better prizes. It's always the same old stuff. A bit too dirty for me. I hate to complain, but I would want to know so there you go. My son is older now and has moved on to other places now

Machines constantly breaking, employees do not seem happy at all to be there and make sure to count what tokens you are given on your card. I bought $100 worth on top of what the kids already had and was severely shorted and had to show them the math... but, the kids love going to 4 stars because the kids still have a blast and do not notice the staff or issues one bit! ;)

This place is a joke. We used a coupon that was listed on the website for $1.50 off a combo meal. Also bought two (2) 90 min play time cards with the combo and was charged FULL PRICE for the cards instead of the discount of $10! When we asked the manager for a refund we were told that we couldn't get one since it was already completed. Also NO ONE kid checked us upon leaving the place. We unhooked the rope at the door and let ourselves out because NO ONE was checking anyone as we left.

Good experience...food just as I remember it, kids had a blast! Staff friendly and helpful to us. The only thing is I would like zero sugar soda products for the adults. Beer was cold so that was a plus...and the fact they had it...probly should add another star but I really wanted a zero sugar option Dirty keto and all...u kno

Well first off they got our pizza order wrong. Took 15 plus minutes to get it fixed. The restrooms are pitiful. Toilet paper all over the floors poop on the stalls. Mildew all over the corners in the stalls. Almost all workers were standing around while things needed to be done. And when leaving we were able to just walk out with our kids without them checking to see if they were ours. Pretty bad experience.

I usually give these places the benefit of a doubt because of all the kids and parents they have to deal with but this one was bad. 2+ hours wait time for all food. Half the ticket counters were broken. Quite a bit of games broken or turned off. Beer was flat. Coke machine sprayed my clothes. Restrooms were pretty nasty and unstocked. This was my first time here, and left a horrible impression.

The worker's were extremely nice and accommodating. I really commend them for doing such a great job. However I feel like this is a breathing ground for covid. Little kids running around touching everything, some not wearing mask. I won't be going back.

Taking things into consideration, with the virus, this was nice. All 6 foot perimeters were enforced, and it was full functional, except for games/tables that were originally closer then 6 feet. (Which are properly marked) my son had a blast, as did I.

Had a birthday party here, and it was fantastic. Honestly such a good experience, and everyone was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely do it again

Took my daughter for her 4th birthday. She danced with chuck e cheese, only reason for 1 star. Waited for an hour for our food. Noticed a line of people mad because they to have been waiting for an hour or more for there food. Waited in line to get a refund with everyone else. Manager on duty didn't seem to care that people were leaving. When a waiting customer asked if there was an hour wait manger just said yep sarcastically and ran to the back. He came back and told waiting customer that all the orders

I took my daughter here for her birthday, not a planned party just a walk in to play games. They did the count down for chuck e to come out but he never came out also said the part where they throw tickets out was coming up several times and they didn't do it. She was so excited waiting for him while the count down played over the speakers and then so let down that he never came out! Very upsetting!! There was lots of trash everywhere and only a handful of visitors so no reason for it to be so dirty. We sto

At Chuck E Cheese Waco, most games were not in working order and took our money (no out of order signs). The basketball and footballs for tossing were either non existent or deflated. The restaurant was dirty and low staffed. There was a lack of games to play, so don't buy more than 10$ of points.

My family & I were very disappointed first of all because the pizza's were over baked parts were even burnt and second of all and most importantly because majority of their games did not work which was VERY DISAPPOINTING to my 5 year old son whoms birthday we were celebrating. That was our first time ever going to Chuck E. Cheese and sadly it will also be our last. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Service was great. As far as games there where a few that didnt give tickets because where out and tokens not dropping after paying and when told workers they would go tell manager but they never would come out to help. Overall my son love it still.

If there was a way to give this location a -5 stars I would. 1st we waited in line for over 30 minutes before we could place our order 2nd on a $127 order they couldn't run a card as a credit card! ( New card don't have pin) so it took us another 30 mins of holding up the line for them to finally tell us they just couldn't accept credit cards instead of them telling us that from the beginning! (I wanted to leave and go to Peter Piper pizza but trying to tell my 3 year old we were going somewhere else wasn't

Despite all the children, the food was really really good. They treated my Niece like a princess and I think she felt really special. Also the staff rewarded good behavior and patience!

Its an expensive but good activity for kids. The quality of the pizza has improved but the improvement is not enough to account for price. When we went 1/3 of the games were down or not giving tickets

Very clean, pizza was actually really good! And kids had fun playing on the games. But def sheisty on tickets... Barely won any for all we played and spent kinda bunk.

This place opened at 11AM. We arrived approximately 11:45AM. Since this is one if the worse FLU seasons in years, we (my 6 year old and I) went to the family restroom to wash hands. There was no toilette paper or soap, and it smelled if urine! We went to the regular women's restroom and found a dirty changing table, toilet paper and soap but the paper towels were on the FLOOR and not in the dispenser. The trash can was also overflowing with diapers and paper towels. Remember: They have been open on 45 minut

Clean, and not many games down like most others. Pizza came out quick. Most Staff we're friendly and inviting while the others seemed more about what they did the night before.

This is the second or third time we've been there that all the games were messed up. We bought a 45-minute card but you had to wait for other people to quit using the machines because all of them were broke. I asked to see a manager and the girl there said they are not here right now you can come back later.

Best experience I've every had. I always take my little cousin to pay after school on Friday and it's just amazing . I've been a few times so I know Sarah and Devin are great managers and always have chucke out when I ask. (Normal they're low staffed because it's a week day before the rush comes in so I normal have to ask for chucke to come out but like I understand when he doesn't cause it's just me and my cousin) Had a great cashier Keykey and Tommie and Mechelle the times I went.

Love chucky cheese. Only bad thing is I waited in the line where you get prizes for your tickets for 30 minutes just for them to tell me the cotton candy i wanted to buy had to be bought at the front register and they saw me holding it getting agitated. The manager did give me 2 free bags though.

Three generations celebrated an 8 yr old's birthday. Early Sunday is a great time to go. Had sworn off Chuckee after a couple hair raising experiences. Child escape security at the exit is a huge improvement and stress reliever! We all had a great time and a party "helper" dedicated to us.

Kids had fun. Service in ordering ice cream was aweful. Female employee wasn't willing to stop folding their Cotton Candy bags to service us ice cream. Only when we decided to not want the ice cream did she change her mind.

Been to a few Chuck E Cheeses and this one was least favorite. Several machines were either down or did not give the tickets they should of. Could use more games for little ones. Seemed overcrowded as well. My kids despite this still had fun minus a gew bumps in the road. Might go back.

The new all you can play is so much better than kiddy credit cards (where they just swipe and then cry cuz they have no idea how to ration). However, the ticket values plummeted and jackpots are almost next to nothing. The toys have become super cheap and the pizza is crazy expensive.

This was the worst service I have ever received at this place of business. I went to the register to complain about the time of service (that my wings hadn't came out after 20mins). As I was standing at the register talking to the manager two of the girls (one with braids and one with a sew-in with big hoop earrings) was standing at the back eating my wings. Like that was the most nastiest, disrespectful thing I have witnessed at a restaurant. That was just right out bold. And for that to happened it shows

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
