Customer Reviews

I'd say that for the only Chuck E. Cheese?s we have in West Virginia, this is solid! At least from my five visits, the games are actually fun to play (even as an adult), the animatronic stage that used to be here was serviceable, and even some of the food isn't half bad. And the employees seem to be very helpful, which is important for a restaurant. All in all, even if they have replaced their animatronic with a dance floor, I would still give this place a visit if only for the fact that this is the only Ch

Perfect snowy day to bring the girls! We took a selfie with all of us bc u cant leave until u show that selfie for safety purposes! Which is super safe and smart of them. They don't allow u to leave until u show the selfie?? They charge by time on the games. So you can choose several packages like 30 minutes-45 minutes and so on. Kids can pause once to eat. Packages include pizza -salad bar and more! We enjoyed a fresh pizza with their very own dough they make in house! You will be surprised as an adult! Gr

This is the second time we did my daughter?s birthday party here! The kids had a great time , food wasn't horrible, and the party host was as good as you could expect coming from a young high school girl. She wasn't very attentive , did the least possible but I didn't expect much because the 1st time it was exactly the same. But we don't have many options for birthday party places and my daughter has a blast running around playing all the games!

Stopped here for an impromptu birthday lunch for the birthday boy. While I am generally skeptical of pizza in places that aren't really focused on the food, the pizza definitely surprised me. It was well prepped and seasoned, similar in style to what I remember old school Pizza Hut pizza being. The wings were average but most are. The birthday cake was very good as well. The atmosphere at this location is perfect. Located back from the other stores so parking is easy and near. The location is clean and ev

One of the good choices To take your kids. It fits all ages under 5 years. Location is great and staff are helpful. Clean place with decent varieties but they need to add more toys. The cards options are great to give the options for the buyers; points or timing.

Had a birthday party for my son. It was great other than I couldn't actually purchase a birthday package bc i didn't plan it the day b4. So my advice is to definitely plan ahead bc it will be a whole lot cheaper than if you don't. I ended up spending like $200 bucks for a birthday party that wasn't actually a birthday party package if that makes any sense. We still had fun though.

My Great Grandson's birthday party was a hit with his friends. Serval members of our family drove from Beckley to enjoy the fun at Chuckie cheese.

I have proved this location immensely over the past few years. I only wish they had jumping activities available for larger kids. Worth the visit if you have kids under 8.

The cost for the trampoline was ridiculous, there were too many games out of service and the prices were way out of control. Spent $136 for 2 kids to have 90 mins worth of fun.

Grand babies absolutely loved this place. It has an amazing atmosphere for children and adults. It is just a great place to enjoy your family without a great cost.

It is Chuck e Cheese! Grandkids loved it. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Bought a pass for my grandkids to go back!

They have changed the system from tokens to points or time now. Much better than when I was a kid and my daughter had a lot of fun here and it was an easy way to kill a couple hours on the weekend.

Visited this location while on a trip visiting family. The pizza was typical Chuck E. Cheese pizza and prepared and delivered in a good time. Restaurant was clean as were bathrooms. Lost the two stars due to a number of broken games or games not giving tickets. Would have been a significant improvement to have a team member monitoring the game area.

Wonderful place! I also love that you have to take a selfie of who you came with & your child has to be in the selfie and you have to show the selfie before you leave!! So awesome!

The rating would be five star if I were 9 years old but I went there with my granddaughter and we had a good time and the pizza was great and the drinks were good and the ice was cold. What can you say?.

There was a worker having a huge meltdown when we were there. It's a children's place the staff should know how to act

This was the best birthday my kids have ever been invited to. They came home a little disoriented with some slurred speech, but had a great time and loved the party favors. Well done, Chuck!

I booked my daughter's 3rd birthday party here. She had a BLAST. The kids were afraid of Chuck but that's normal. They loved the pizza, dip and dots and the games. There's an interactive dance floor where the parties are as well. I did the ultimate fun for 7 kids.

For being the only Chuck E. Cheese in town it's subpar. The pizzas and breadsticks are ok for being CEC. The wings are always chewy and super soft as well as overpriced. Not to mention the new trampoline where you could only get in if you buy socks from Chuck E. Cheese. What happened to the indoor playgrounds? Why not add more games for all ages. Also there are always at least 4 games down. I want more for my money! We feel that every time we leave we're always upset about how much we spent and how things c

It's a really nice place, kids had alot of fun and our waitress was amazing

Simply the best pizza, cleanest environment and greatest selection of games. This pizza time theater is a must visit. The music, classic rock and comedy tracks covered by Charles and the band is the perfect ambiance. Don't miss this Chuck E Cheese.

Always a great experience. The facility is clean, the staff are always very friendly and helpful, and with coupons it's fun for the whole family. We definitely will be returning!!

We had our grandsons birthday party there it was amazing!

The birthday party was a mess. First we waited to get to our birthday table because it wasn't ready, cards weren't activated when we first gave them to the kids, took a while to get them back, pizza was burnt, I wouldn't do a birthday party there again. The staff seemed they were occupied with something and not serving customers as they should have .

My daughter had a blast (she's 7). The food however was not great, or even good. We ordered a cheese pizza and some breadsticks. The breadsticks were ok but the pizza was terrible. We each took one bite and decided we didn't want any more. I suggest eating elsewhere, then stopping here for some fun afterwards. The place was clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly.

Our boys and their best friend had an amazing time at Chuck E Cheese. This was the most public place my wife and I have taken out boys to since covid 19 started. I would like to give thanks to the staff, and to anyone else involved in the changes that have been made at Chuck E. Cheese to help keep ours and everyone's kids as safe as possible. I would like to let everyone know that the every member of the staff that we had interaction with at the South Ridge WV. location was very polite and professional. Pl

Great staff, clean and well organized. A fun, safe place for young children to enjoy a couple of hours of food and entertainment.

At 13 my son is getting a little old for the restaurant but still enjoys it and we had a decent time playing the games. I wish the value was a little better in the ticket trade off. The pizza quality is very good. We generally like the pizza at our local Chuck E. Cheese better than a lot of the usual nearby chains. Overall value could be better but it supplies a service that is not otherwise available locally.

Helpful staff, friendly Chuck E. Was happy and satisfied with the birthday party. There was no play area like other Chuck E Cheese. That was the only disappointment.

It's expensive. 6 year old was board in an hour. Pizza was good staff was friendly

Chuck E. Cheese is always a winner with the kiddos! The pizza is surprisingly good for a place that caters to kids. They do seem to be chronically understaffed which can cause annoying delays when trying to order food or redeem tickets for prizes. Nice mix of classic and new games and rides.

The employees are top-notch. Great place to have host a child's birthday party! The staff are eager to wait on ypu hand and foot. The birthday kid even gets a round in the ticket/Hurricane chamber. Chuck-E even comes out to sing Happy Birthday with the guests. Great all-around experience. Whether it's for a quick hour of games, or an entire party, this is the kids' place to be.

My kids have loved coming here for years!! It's a great place to have a birthday party, or celebrate a milestone your child has achieved! It's also a good place for the whole family!! Lots of games for the whole family to enjoy! So much fun for the little ones!!

I love this place so much! This pizza is so good and the deals they have are pretty decent. And don't worry you don't have to be a kid to enjoy that amazing place.

It's sad that everything is digital now but the service we received was fantastic...it really helped our family party be amazing. Karen was super helpful and friendly - thanks!

The store was clean, and the staff was friendly. There was lots of different games, and a few photo booths. $20 for 60 mins of play was good value.

I went here with my daughter and her school the day of re-opening and they have made some big improvements, much needed updates, and new games. She had lots of fun!

It's a pretty good place, if it weren't for the place removing animatronics. They replaced them with Dance floors, & I'm not happy. But it's still a good place neverless.

A little disappointed because multiple times we've been here most of the games don't work in the dishwater

Food is high no where for the toddlers to play and crawl. Chuck E. Cheese is not the same. The damn mouse was even boring. I enjoyed my family and friends.

Took niece and nephews there as an end of school treat. It was a Thursday night, not very crowded which is a plus. There are two options for playing the games, you can get a card with either tokens or time. We went with time. 45 minutes of time to play the games. The food was decently priced and good, but the selection of games were lacking. For a combo 5, extra drink, and four 45 minute cards it came out to 135 dollars. The kids had fun which is a plus, but I think it is a little pricy. On top of that, des

The food was pretty good but the salad bar is majorly overpriced. I also hated the cards you were given instead of coins and tickets. Had to constantly run back to the kiosk to see how many points you had left and how many tickets you won.

Was lots of fun playing games and dancing with Chucky, but the food is extremely high and the pizza is dry, hardly any sauce.

Manager was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was not great. A tad burnt. Kids did have a blast!

Clean, fun and safe place for the kiddos to have fun. Came here for daughter?s birthday party and the staff was great and we all had a great time. This is our second visit but won't be our last. Pizza very good as well. Thanks to everyone at this establishment for making my daughters birthday a memorable one.

Server was friendly at the birthday party and very attentive. Of course the kids love that dancing RAT! Yes it's expensive as is everywhere else!$5 pizzas for 20 bucks but I'm not one to complain because he's still going to love it there ????

The kids had such a great time. We came a little after 8 pm and it was super fun because there were not many other people there. The kids always have tons of fun. The workers were actively wiping down tables/games and using the vacuum to ensure it was super clean for the kids. As always will be back!

This time going was better than the last I can say. The food is good but a little pricy. It's pizza ya know. Overall, we like the place especially for the kids.

First time ever going and never would go back to this place. Rude customers sitting at our tables. Staying Infront of our tables where we couldn't even get to our table. And kids coming up to are table drinking are drinks. Some of the employees was a joke. You'll never see us there again.

We came for food & fun. The whole changing of the ticket to digital ticket is not as fun as it once was :( One adult & one child $42 and some change. Ordered personal pepperoni pizza, small drink and order of fries with $17.99 one hour play on Wednesday with app. We enjoyed it not being crowded.

I love this location! They have a good sized location and the cool chuck Era sign. But the main reason is because of the animatronic. I have always loved rock afire and chuck e cheese animatronics and this one is great! It has a studio c bot, 16 movement I belive. And he does still move around, unlike most locations. He is kept neat and tidy too. Otherwise the location is big, has passable food, and the games are kept in fair condition. But yeah, the bot is the best part, happy it's still here for a while!

We had my sons 8th Birthday party here today. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! This place is so clean and well kept. The pizza was so good. They set everything up for us. There were 6 parties at the same time and they had a server who had a family emergency so they were short staffed. Believe me when I tell you that had they not told me I would NEVER have known. They apologized multiple times, which was unnecessary since it was some of the best service I have ever encountered. Our waitress checked on us freq

Really happy with the overall experience at CC. The staff was very friendly, especially the staff that was CC that personally interacted with my autistic child. Go during the weekday for lighter crowd. Be sure to use app to score points for free tickets or food.

Lots of games for kids of all ages. Food was good too. Wish they did a stage show like billy Bob's though. But awesome time!! Absolutely love the way they do their play time. You can do it by minutes and play as much as you can in the amount of minutes you paid for. Super neat idea!

My daughter and I took a friends two little ones to the Charleston,WV location yesterday everyone was so friendly. The games that the kids enjoyed were fun till the electric unfortunately decided to go out. The employees apologized even though it was out of their control we were given gift certificates for the inconvenience. The kids thanked us a million times saying they have so much fun and fortunately we got a few good pics for their mom to enjoy as well. I hope this review reaches all the employees an

My daughter and I love Chuck E Cheese! It can easily get expensive for what it is, it's always at least a $60 trip, but its a lot of fun for kids. The pizza isn't bad at all either!

6/27/24 - The staff throw away any play point bands or curly bracelets they find. They are $3 and $6 each and $1 for the card alone. Last night we were there until closing and there was a pile of them at the prize counter where the staff forgets to give them back. They take the cards off and throw them away, band, bracelet, card and all. Why don't you have a lost and found? These things are expensive especially if you have a large family. We lost 3 in one night ($12) because they don't give them back at the

The kids had a blast at chuck E cheese today for their cousins birthday party. And I didn't eat the mouse lol.

Wonderful for children's parties. Even if they're not super huge parties. My brother had a blast and and I love the pizza. Awesome ice cream machine too. I loved the fruit Popsicles I got out of it. Definitely a fantastic trip. I think the only way I would've liked it more is by being a kid again.

I enjoyed this place. The only issue I had is they stamp your hand going in and give your kids matching ones and mine has worn off the last two times before we left and they weren't going to let me take my kids. They had to ask my kids if they knew me and if they felt comfortable leaving with me. I know it's for safety and I appreciate it but when the kids say it's okay you don't have to keep asking them questions. Especially my daughter who is shy and won't talk to people that she doesn't know.

Unlimited salad bar was out or low on most everything. Wife commented to management, it still took 20 minutes to bring more. The trash cans were overflowing. The restrooms were dirty. They seemed very understaffed. Took more than 30 minutes to get our pizza and cheese bread. Was not a good time even for the kids

We dont eat the foods here so cant comment on that. The games were clean, place was clean and not overly busy. We enjoyed it. My daughter loved the octonauts ride as thats her favorite show. We will come back when in town just for this ride. Enjoyed our selves! Thanks

My daughter absolutely loves this place. this is the second year we have had her birthday party at this location. The price for the party is great. However, the staff as friendly as they are, are not always the best at what they do. Most of them are kids so they don't do a bad job, just at times it can be frustrating.

Happy they opened back up!!! We loved this place

It was extremely crowded when we were there and a lot of the games were out of tickets/tokens. It was very clean and the food was very good when it finally came but again it was super packed Saturday 2/16/2019. 1 kids chicken nuggets basket to 46 minutes that's a bit long to make a child wait.

This chuck E. Cheese was so clean and had friendly staff.. The staff was also quick to address the games that were out of order ( only 1 or 2, maybe 3 of them). The best part was when someone walked in with outside food and was informed outside food was not allowed due to allergies. As someone who has a child with allergies I have always taken my child due to feeling comfortable with them being so on top of this! Esp since it was a young kid (Zach I believe was his name) working up front. And then always th

The workers were helpful, the pizza was okay, and the salad bar was disgusting it had slimy eggs, the cherry tomatoes were soft and tasted rotten, cucumbers you are slimy and mushy, and the lettuce was brown and for $10 times 2 people I feel we were ripped off. I did let them know about the salad bar (quietly) I seen them looking at it but I'm not sure if they did anything about it. No offer of a refund was made even though our plates of salad sat on the table and were not eaten.

Had my sons birthday party here, the staff was excellent and more then accommodating. Hannah, the girl that hosted my party was great! I could tell that she truly liked her job..you don't see that very often, especially at a place like that. I can't wait to take him back.

had a great time playing the games and everything but the workers were so rude and acted like they didn't even wanna be there. you would ask them a question and they would be so snotty and stuck up about it. you would think the workers would be nicer and not so snotty if they were gonna be around kids all day. kinda ruined the experience.

The birthday coordinator was great, friendly staff and ours stuck with us and handled my son so well. I felt like she really cared about us and it was more than I could've asked for. She did go above and beyond to help me.

Good place. Still pricey but love the all you can play for a certain amount of time cards now. Need to do a better job on the "toys" You exchange your tickets for. Tje biggest problem I had was nothing for the younger kid's. My grand daughter is 2.

Probably would have given 4 stars, maybe, if it weren't for the young woman at the ticket redemption paying more attention to her phone than what we wanted to get for our kids. Her attitude didn't help, either. Oh, and the pizza for our kid's party was awful. Also, the "cow herding" that they do for parties is awful. Give an option for a private room and I'm sure some would pay it.

Pizza was really good..however did not care for the cheese bread sticks because they were a little over baked. The employees had miserable attitudes and were not friendly at all.

My son always has the time of his life here, one of the great things of it all is that rather your kid is alone or someone they will still have fun regardless. Also to note, I love the blue light stamps they give to the parent and child as a safety feature of no one taking your child.

Nice but idk staff was awkward and pizza was good

Me and my kids had a blast

Pizza is decent. Games are carnival style skill games. Definitely get the play pass for a time limit instead of the credit limit. A single play on a game can be done in about 15 seconds. The timed pass is the much better value. You can even pause the time once and not worry about wasting it while you eat.

My kids had a fantastic experience and can't wait to go back. However, I was ready to leave before I walked in the door. I'm an adult. They serve pizza, have games and play music so loud you'll quickly begin to question your sanity and wonder how you survived being a kid. What else can I say?

Kids had fun, workers were great! Just alot of people without masks! Just to let everyone know it was not the workers! There is no mandatory masking! I've been vaccinated and booster but still wear a mask, I get it it's your choice!

Terrible pizza, terrible food, poor service, staff who obviously doesnt want to be there, rip off with the games and prizes, needs a face-lift. Little kids love it, that's the only good thing I can say.

The place where a kid can be a kid! The games all worked but some were out of tickets. The employees fixed the ticket problem as soon as we told them about it. The new card system they use instead of tokens is a lot better. The pizza is great and skeeball is the best game ever. Thank Chucky!

It'd been at least 4-5 yrs since we'd been to this location and now they do cards instead of tokens which is fine, but educate your employees on this fact and the differences between the time card vs. the token card! The woman that stamped our hands had no idea about either and with the time card she basically said if you select 60 min and your time is up you can't play anymore, but she failed to say that there are pause stations and you can pause your time card to eat, use the bathroom, etc. which would ha

The change of games is awesome. My kids were much more engaged and excited.

Take my kids atleast every two weeks and we always have a blast,I like how you can buy minutes and not just points and it's not tokens anymore so much easier and a better deal.

Nice my kids loved it but prices are crazy for everything here..

The kids love it. The pizza is what you expect. I'm not happy with the new pricing scheme. They used to have a deal with a large pizza, 4 drinks, I think, and 30 tokens for less than $30. Now the pizza & drink deal is almost that much and another $20 or so for the token/points (they've gone to a swipe card for points or you can do minutes). It's almost twice as much as before. I did discover that Sam's Club has $50 of Chuckie gift cards for $37. I'll be doing that next time.

they took out the ball pit you now use credit cards and it pretty much upset me that they teach the kids how to use credit cards and bonuses and points. They are kids. For some reason they still have the old tacky tickets. With the ball pit being out it's more sanitary but also when you run out of money or points on the little credit cards they give the kids you're pretty much out of things to do. Close to a lot of fast food places and Walmart. can you load the card by half hour hour and so on once it runs

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
